00:00:30.000 All right, welcome back to the Wednesday live stream.
00:00:32.120 If you're new here, this is Right Response Ministries.
00:00:34.380 I'm the primary host, Pastor Joel Webbin.
00:00:36.200 I've got with me today, well, every Wednesday at 4 p.m. Central Time,
00:00:40.340 we live stream once a week on Wednesdays.
00:00:42.440 I've got Wesley Todd.
00:00:43.640 I also have Michael Belch.
00:00:45.060 They're both members in good standing in our local church in Central Texas.
00:00:48.440 We're in Georgetown, Texas, Covenant Bible Church.
00:00:51.020 And we do this every single Wednesday at 4 p.m.
00:00:53.800 And we had an episode that was lined up for today,
00:00:56.360 but we're deciding to go ahead and push that back
00:00:58.460 because there's big breaking news that's going on right now.
00:01:01.500 The news is that our governor in the state of Texas,
00:01:04.220 Governor Abbott, who has, you know, he's fairly conservative.
00:01:08.220 He's certainly one of the better governors in the nation as a whole.
00:01:11.520 But to be honest, in many instances,
00:01:13.940 he's kind of, his best moves have been following suit
00:01:17.180 of guys like Ron DeSantis in Florida.
00:01:19.880 You know, so somebody else will take a stand
00:01:21.720 and then he'll follow, you know, their example.
00:01:23.640 He hasn't really been an original leader, you know,
00:01:26.900 coming out with a strong conservative stance all on his own. But this is his battle. We have had a
00:01:32.540 full-blown invasion. That is the proper term for a long time. I mean, immigration has gone up,
00:01:38.700 legal immigration and legal immigration has gone up steadily for the past few years, even before
00:01:44.140 Biden taking office. But since the Biden administration over these past three years,
00:01:48.580 I believe it's 6 million that we've had crossing the southern border. I believe just the border of
00:01:54.320 Texas is what Governor Abbott said. Six million. And these are not just women with their toddlers
00:02:00.480 and babies. A predominant amount of them. There are some women. There are some children. I'm not
00:02:05.940 saying there's nothing. But the dominant amount of people who are crossing the border are military
00:02:10.920 aged fighting young men. Instead of carrying an AR, they're carrying a cell phone videoing it as
00:02:18.640 they're flying their national flag, which is today's warfare. It's a media warfare. It's a
00:02:22.740 warfare of politics to destroy our nation. And so what we're going to be talking about,
00:02:26.820 we're going to show Abbott's letter. We're going to read it for you guys. But the reason why it's
00:02:30.300 a big deal is because the Supreme Court just ruled, and I'm going to say this, and some of
00:02:34.840 you won't like it, but it matters because I think one of the things that we have to stand as
00:02:38.980 Christians, we have to stand for right now is the importance of nature, that grace does not
00:02:43.820 eradicate nature. It doesn't erase nature or replace nature, but it elevates and restores
00:02:48.920 nature. Natural affections matter. These things are ingrained in us. It's not a part of the curse.
00:02:56.300 We actually misprioritize some natural affections because of the curse of sin.
00:03:01.780 Natural affections, that was in a pre-lapsarian world before sin entered the world. Adam would
00:03:06.580 have had a greater devotion to his wife, Eve, than he would have his great-great-great-great-great-
00:03:11.540 great-great-granddaughter. That's natural. And so it's not a coincidence that the Supreme Court
00:03:17.700 just ruled i believe this was yesterday they're ruling monday monday so the supreme court just
00:03:23.320 ruled uh in a five four majority um you've got the usual suspects you've got roberts and you've
00:03:28.400 got three other women katanji brown jackson being one of them uh but then one surprise was a fourth
00:03:33.460 woman on the court so you have five women you know one of both sexes so one one you know um
00:03:38.520 effeminate man and then four women um but the surprise was that you know amy coney barrett was
00:03:43.480 a trump appointee uh she has uh governed and ruled not governed but ruled um conservatively
00:03:49.900 for the most part which is awesome uh but uh on this one she folded and and i just have to say
00:03:55.000 with this nature paradigm grace and nature i i think we are being naive as christians if we don't
00:04:00.400 think uh if we think it's merely a coincidence that a woman folded the conservative woman folded
00:04:05.660 and it happens to be a woman who has um several children and multiple of them are adopted adoption
00:04:11.520 is great. Just for the record, I was adopted. I'm a big fan of adoption. I think adoption is a
00:04:15.620 beautiful picture of the gospel. That's what God does with us. Spiritually, he takes those of us
00:04:20.880 who were once children of his wrath and actually children of the devil. That's John chapter 8,
00:04:25.440 right? That if you're not a Christian, then you are actually, you have a father, but you're a
00:04:31.060 child of the devil. That's what Jesus says to the Pharisees. So God takes someone else's children,
00:04:35.620 in this case, namely the devil's, and makes them his own and adopts us as his beloved children.
00:04:40.380 were no longer his enemies or children of his wrath or children of Satan, but we become beloved
00:04:44.780 children of God. Adoption is near to the heart of God. It's a picture of the gospel. It's wonderful.
00:04:51.880 And I personally, I've been adopted twice, once by God in the spiritual sense, and once by my
00:04:55.880 parents who are members in our church. You guys know, love my mom and dad. I was adopted as a
00:05:00.040 baby. We are pro-adoption. That said, there are cases. You may have remembered, for those of you
00:05:05.260 in the reformed world eric khan uh who tends to upset the masses a couple months ago on twitter
00:05:10.440 um you know i i think of him as like vlad the impaler um you know the impaler like so that's
00:05:15.340 kind of his his strategy on twitter he sent out this tweet about saying hey not everyone should
00:05:19.900 adopt um and adoption has been like a sacred cow it's been like a mark of of how do you know this
00:05:25.340 person is spiritually legit uh because they've adopted a bunch of children you know and and it's
00:05:29.820 it's like a weird mystical badge of, of honor and status within the church.
00:05:34.480 This person is very spiritual. They're very good. Um, and,
00:05:38.100 and he just tweeted out saying adoption is wonderful.
00:05:40.480 There's nothing wrong with it, but there are cases, for instance,
00:05:43.040 adopting out of the foster care system, which is a wonderful thing to do.
00:05:45.800 But if you're adopting a 13 year old boy out of the foster care system,
00:05:49.400 who's been in it his whole life and you currently have, you know, um,
00:05:52.660 three young girls under the age of six, uh,
00:05:55.960 that there may be real reasons not to do that. Um,
00:05:59.660 And he wasn't saying, don't love your adopted child.
00:06:02.680 He was saying, no, no, he's talking about the child who is a prospect for adoption.
00:06:06.100 They're not yet your child.
00:06:07.320 This child is not yet your child.
00:06:08.580 And the point is, the internet, and I'm talking about Christians, lost their mind.
00:06:13.020 Christians were like, how could you?
00:06:14.540 How dare you?
00:06:15.440 This is evil.
00:06:16.440 You are sinister.
00:06:17.440 You're a bad man.
00:06:18.580 Well, here you go.
00:06:19.760 This is Eric Kahn's point, giving him some props.
00:06:22.760 Eric Kahn's point now played out in real life.
00:06:26.280 five four decision with the supreme court barely a majority a conservative otherwise normally
00:06:32.900 conservative uh a female supreme court justice votes um for for what what does she vote for
00:06:39.360 she votes for uh the stranger the alien the foreigner because she's thinking like a mother
00:06:46.080 and an adoptive mother so she's thinking in in the framework of nurturing the way that women
00:06:51.180 were designed by god it's a wonderful thing yeah i just don't think you should be on the supreme
00:06:55.140 court um and and not because i'm talking about in this case women period not not adopt mothers uh
00:07:00.920 women who happen to be mothers of adopted children i i do believe that that that is a position um in
00:07:05.600 the civil magistrate that should be held by uh qualified men but but you know you have a woman
00:07:10.900 who her her gear is towards being nurturing if if anything she's more nurturing than kataji brown
00:07:15.760 jackson by virtue of being a conservative mother um and and then and not just a mother but she
00:07:20.780 actually has adopted children um you know children who were not her own but who are now
00:07:26.040 the adoption makes it legally her children and biblically spiritually they are her children um
00:07:31.420 but but then the fact that that woman on this issue um sides with other nations that are not
00:07:38.100 actually her native nation it's not uh the children of america but the children of the
00:07:42.740 foreigner uh that is not a coincidence and so that's what happens and governor abbott i'll be
00:07:47.500 honest, I am surprised, albeit pleasantly surprised, but I didn't think he would battle this.
00:07:53.740 You've got the Federal National Guard versus the Texas National Guard. They came in and said,
00:07:59.020 Texas, you've got to remove the razor wire that you're wrapping around the necks of two-year-olds,
00:08:04.780 which is just absolutely, it's barbed wire that's in the river, that's visible to deter people,
00:08:12.540 not to hurt people, but to say, don't do this. If you do this, you're hurting yourself. We are not
00:08:17.060 hurting you. You are hurting yourself. It is to deter people from breaking the law, from illegally
00:08:21.680 entering into the country. But you have Biden sent in his goons to slice the wire, remove it,
00:08:30.140 and Governor Abbott is now using the Texas National Guard in defiance of the Supreme Court
00:08:35.240 and our current presidential administration saying, no, this is a constitutional issue.
00:08:40.940 You have declared treason of sorts on the United States of America and certainly on the state of
00:08:45.720 texas because this is an invasion level crossing that's going on with military aged men it's
00:08:52.140 endangering our citizens and so he's taking a stand and hold he's going to hold them off we'll
00:08:57.020 see i hope i pray but hold off uh the federal goons and the texas national guard is putting
00:09:02.860 the wire back in and if biden stands his ground which he probably won't because it's an election
00:09:08.100 year and like 80 of the country even if you're democrat 80 of the country is like okay the
00:09:13.040 border is a problem uh the border is right up there with the uh economy and the polls in terms
00:09:17.880 of what people think is uh is most under fire most severe the biggest urgent problem and so
00:09:23.760 biden may not take a stand for electing purposes but if he does this does have the seeds i'm not
00:09:30.040 saying this is it but this has the seeds for uh your your classic texas succession that everybody's
00:09:36.440 been talking or civil war those kinds of things so with all that being said we'll talk about it
00:09:40.360 more. We'll talk about nature, natural affections. We'll talk about the civil and political aspects
00:09:45.320 and the potential of civil war, all those kinds of things, or state succession. But first,
00:09:50.460 let's read the letter. Michael, could you do the honors? All right. This is the letter that
00:09:55.180 Governor Abbott posted in response to the Supreme Court decision. And to be fair, the Supreme Court
00:09:59.920 decision was a temporary one. The whole case is being heard. This was specifically on cutting
00:10:05.460 down the razor wire, right? So there's a whole lot more that's even going to be coming down the pike
00:10:10.340 potentially. Here's the letter. The federal government has broken the compact between the
00:10:15.560 United States and the states. The executive branch of the United States has a constitutional duty
00:10:20.920 to enforce federal laws protecting states, including immigration laws on the books right now.
00:10:26.960 President Biden has refused to enforce those laws and has even violated them. The result is that he
00:10:33.400 has smashed records for illegal immigration despite having been put on notice in a series
00:10:38.500 of letters one of which i delivered to him by hand president biden has ignored texas's demand
00:10:44.840 that he perform his constitutional duties president biden has violated his oath to
00:10:50.320 faithfully execute immigration laws enacted by congress instead of prosecuting immigrants for
00:10:55.680 the federal crime of illegal entry president biden has sent his lawyers into federal courts
00:11:01.080 to sue texas for taking action to secure the border president biden has instructed his agencies
00:11:07.440 to ignore federal statutes that mandate the detention of illegal immigrants the effect is
00:11:13.460 to illegally allow their en masse parole in the united states by wasting tax dollars taxpayer
00:11:21.060 dollars to tear open texas's border security infrastructure president biden has enticed
00:11:25.840 illegal immigrants away from the 28 legal entry points along this this state's southern border
00:11:32.100 bridges where nobody drowns and into the dangerous waters of the rio grande under president biden's
00:11:39.020 lawless border policies more than six million illegal immigrants have crossed our southern
00:11:44.420 border in just three years this is more than the population of 33 different states in this country
00:11:50.840 This illegal refusal to protect the states has influenced unprecedented harm on the people all across the United States.
00:12:00.580 James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and the other visionaries who wrote the U.S. Constitution foresaw that states should not be left to the mercy of a lawless president who does nothing to stop external threats like cartels smuggling millions of illegal immigrants across the border.
00:12:16.940 That is why the framers included both Article 5, Section 4, which promises that the federal government, quote, shall protect each state against invasion, end quote, and Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3, which acknowledges, quote, the state's sovereign interest in protecting their borders.
00:12:35.180 Arizona of the United States, you can see the ruling there.
00:12:38.540 The failure of the Biden administration to fulfill the duties imposed by Article 4, Section 4, has triggered Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3, which reserves to this state the right of self-defense.
00:12:53.440 For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas's constitutional authority to defend and protect itself.
00:13:04.140 That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary.
00:13:11.380 The Texas National Guard, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and other Texas personnel are acting on that authority, as well as the state law, to secure the Texas border.
00:13:21.940 Signed, Governor Abbott.
00:13:23.440 Talk about the lesser magistrate.
00:13:24.840 Yeah, that's the doctrine of the lesser magistrate, going through the right channels and using God's law, first and foremost, but also the Constitution and state constitution, federal constitution and standing up to treason.
00:13:39.000 I mean, it's absolutely Joe Biden is a traitor of the United States and what he's been doing with the border.
00:13:43.980 Wes?
00:13:44.420 Yeah, you mentioned it.
00:13:45.500 It was in the letter.
00:13:46.900 Six million illegal immigrants, greater than the population of 33 states.
00:13:51.580 the reason this matters so much the reason you mentioned it's such a high issue there comes a
00:13:55.940 point with immigration where you actually don't have a country anymore where literally the the
00:13:59.520 fate has already it's been decided where there's a certain point where your own replacement level
00:14:04.040 so americans that replacement fertility how many kids on average where when there's so many people
00:14:08.940 that don't have allegiance to this country some of them even unregistered whatever it may be
00:14:12.920 where literally you could reach the tipping point and then pretty much the story is written in the
00:14:17.180 stars. There's no going back from it. There's no like, oh, we actually, we would like to walk back
00:14:21.900 from this cliff we walked up to the edge of. You don't get that. We're talking about not just,
00:14:26.040 I don't think, in 50 years or 70 years, we could reach the point where we don't have a nation
00:14:29.800 anymore. In under five years, we could reach the point where it's lost. And that's not to say like,
00:14:35.160 oh, these poor dispossessed people, they have a nation too, that they could have allegiance to,
00:14:39.920 they could work to perfect, to work to build up, but they're coming into ours. And the result is
00:14:45.400 none of us have a nation then they don't have a nation or allegiance ours is lost
00:14:49.200 and everyone is worse for the wear right and uh and for the record in terms of asylum
00:14:54.620 claims of seeking asylum if you're going through 14 other nations right on your way to seek asylum
00:15:00.640 then you're not seeking asylum what you're seeking is uh you're seeking prosperity and there is a
00:15:05.420 difference and that's fine i understand that everybody would like to be prosperous but if
00:15:09.360 you'd like to be prosperous then you have to go through the proper channels you need to be
00:15:13.040 um, a legal immigrant, not an illegal immigrant. Um, so if you're, if you're coming for, from a
00:15:18.120 war torn nation and you're passing through, you know, seven other nations on the way that may not
00:15:22.960 be the United States of America, they may not have the opportunity for prosperity that we do here,
00:15:27.300 praise God by his grace. Um, but, but they're not, uh, at war, then, then, you know, you're going
00:15:33.100 through peaceful, not prosperous, but peaceful nations on the way. Um, then you're not seeking
00:15:37.560 asylum. What you're seeking is to invade a country and better magistrates and a better
00:15:45.620 country wouldn't allow it. Unfortunately, we don't have a good country. You think of like
00:15:50.600 Benjamin Franklin, what did you achieve? What did you give us? I gave you a republic if you can
00:15:55.940 keep it. And we've proven that unfortunately we can't. And so in terms of what angle, what
00:16:02.520 incentive uh joe biden and democrats for the most part have when it comes to uh immigrants um
00:16:08.780 democrats cannot win an election apart from immigrants um and so democrats uh i'm just
00:16:14.980 going to speak frankly here uh democrats win elections uh through uh immigrants um also uh
00:16:20.880 women um voting and also uh you know if they could they would lower the age of voting uh making
00:16:26.540 marijuana legal so you have guys you know who are high going into voting booths at every single
00:16:31.500 They want a population that's mostly women voting and not men.
00:16:37.300 The men who are voting, they want them to have low testosterone levels.
00:16:40.460 They want them to be sickly and dying and high.
00:16:45.200 And then they want illegal immigrants to be able to vote.
00:16:48.120 And you might say, well, illegal immigrants in the country isn't the same as voting.
00:16:50.880 Well, it effectively becomes the same when you have individual cities like New York City and other places saying that you don't have to provide any documentation.
00:16:58.640 And then outright even saying we're going to let people who are not citizens vote in national elections.
00:17:05.580 And so that's the direction.
00:17:08.460 Basically, anybody who has a vested interest in the nation, a tax-paying national citizen, clear-thinking, somebody who loves America, they don't vote for Democrats.
00:17:20.500 They don't.
00:17:21.180 They don't.
00:17:22.160 I have an analogy of this to help us understand a little bit.
00:17:25.480 Imagine that there's a father and a mother who are divorced, and the mother has primary
00:17:30.520 custody of the kids, and she's doing her best.
00:17:34.120 She has them on a strict schedule, bedtime, eat your vegetables, things like this, right?
00:17:38.560 Now, when the kids go see the father, the father buys them ice cream and McDonald's
00:17:43.980 and lets them stay up as late as they want, play video games all night, et cetera.
00:17:48.160 It's not just what you're saying, Joel, that the Democrats need these votes.
00:17:51.260 It's that they also have to lie about what is loving to these people.
00:17:54.660 They say, we are going to give you all of this stuff.
00:17:58.040 We are going to ensure that you get money.
00:18:01.460 I mean, we're talking $3,000 ATM cards when they cross the border and a cell phone.
00:18:05.920 And I just saw today that there is talking that the UN is going to be donating $1.5 billion
00:18:12.380 to fund immigrants, illegal immigrants who cross the U.S. southern border.
00:18:16.980 and so the democrats have to play like they're this father who's giving everything when really
00:18:25.860 it's bad it's bad for the people just to be given unlimited you know uh access to health care
00:18:33.440 scholarships housing without having to work for it and it's bad for the rest of the country and
00:18:38.360 then what they do is they say well mom is really the bad guy right right mom is really the bad guy
00:18:43.520 because she makes you go to bed and the next time we get a custody hearing kids make sure you tell
00:18:48.380 the judge who you want to have more custody it's me i'm the fun guy she's the bad guy she's the
00:18:54.440 meanie right that dichotomy between it tough love is a good word for it like this is it's not
00:19:00.960 enjoyable uh to do this but it's better for you so it's not as though we could love immigrants or
00:19:05.340 we couldn't by loving quote unquote which really isn't loving you're actually not loving your own
00:19:11.360 people. So you are not loving your own people by letting in gang members that will spread drugs
00:19:15.480 and violence. I know not all of them will do that. You're not loving your people by subverting
00:19:19.420 their workforce or the people that have lived in this nation, that pay their taxes, can't have
00:19:23.420 jobs. That's not loving to your people. So it's not as though I could love or I couldn't. After
00:19:27.500 all, love is a good thing. And we want to be kind and welcoming. By so doing, you will hate your own
00:19:32.420 people. And you just got to get to a second level of thinking like, okay, on the surface, well,
00:19:36.660 that is a good thing to be welcoming. Hospitality is a real virtue. For the right people, the
00:19:41.280 safe people in the right place in the right time not spread broadly but you got to get to the second
00:19:45.660 level say who am i not loving by doing this let me expand on that for a minute because i was just
00:19:49.940 talking to someone i'm not going to say who but i was talking to someone just within the last week
00:19:54.520 who's in the construction area and who knows a little bit about construction here in texas we're
00:19:59.440 in texas and he said that he's he's come to find out recently that there are whole groups and
00:20:06.200 organizations of um construction companies who will send representatives down to honduras guatemala
00:20:13.540 these places and they'll go down there and they'll just start talking to men able-bodied men and say
00:20:18.300 look i'll take you back to the states and they'll tell them the dollar amount that they'll pay them
00:20:22.240 per hour which sounds like a fortune in guatemala or honduras but which is barely livable here
00:20:29.440 so they say okay i can get you there i can get you working it's going to be a coyote to get you
00:20:35.420 across the border would be $10,000. I will do it for $12,000, but you can pay it in installments
00:20:41.960 once you start working. And this is actually happening where they're bringing across dozens
00:20:47.980 and dozens and hundreds and hundreds of able-bodied men promising what sounds like a fortune. When they
00:20:53.500 get here, they realize with the cost of living in the States, that's actually not going to go very
00:20:58.520 far. So now they're enslaved to this debt that they have to pay off and they can't afford to
00:21:04.240 live anywhere so they're literally putting 20 guys in one apartment building for them to live
00:21:10.860 they go out and they work they make their next to nothing wage they go back they live in this
00:21:16.280 apartment they have years months and months and years and years of paying off this debt that is
00:21:20.220 not loving although a liberal would say it's loving to let an immigrant come across and
00:21:25.780 i'm sure they would love them as their neighbor i would hope that that group moves in right next
00:21:29.240 door to me right yeah oh wait they live in in gated communities let me get to a couple of the
00:21:33.620 comments real quick. So if you guys have questions or something like that, put it in the comments.
00:21:36.940 We'll try to address it today. This is from two minutes to midnight. They say the church is doing
00:21:41.800 this also. I thought this was a good point. Good job, two minutes to midnight. The church is doing
00:21:46.720 this also. We are not serving the needy in the church and rather throwing money and time at
00:21:51.820 unbelievers. That's the same principle, right? So that we have clear verses where the apostle Paul
00:21:55.720 in Galatians, for instance, I believe it's chapter six, it might be chapter five. But what he says
00:22:01.080 is as often as you have opportunity, do good to all, but especially the household of faith,
00:22:06.980 aka he's saying, especially meaning, but prioritize the household of faith. Here's the deal. Jesus
00:22:12.600 is God and therefore infinite, and he is the head of the church. But the church on earth,
00:22:17.300 Christ's body, his hands and feet, the church is finite. It's made up of people, and people have
00:22:23.060 a limited amount of gifts and time and resources and money and all those kinds of things. So the
00:22:29.200 church is not infinite in its resources, which means as often as we, the church, the people of
00:22:34.120 God have opportunity, we should seek to do good to all people, but we have a mandate in Scripture
00:22:39.900 to prioritize the household of faith. So if we're doing good to the unbeliever at the cost of our
00:22:46.080 brother or sister in Christ, then we've messed up. If we're doing good to even another local church
00:22:52.060 on the other side of the world filled with brothers and sisters in Christ, but at the cost
00:22:56.400 of our local church, brothers and sisters in Christ at home, then we've messed up.
00:23:02.040 Another passage would be Jesus, and this is always used out of context, and I absolutely
00:23:07.320 hate it, so we've got to do a little Christian Bible myth busters here.
00:23:10.500 But it's the verse, the passage where Jesus says, whatever you've done for the least of
00:23:17.040 these, you've done for me.
00:23:18.360 Well, you know, if you've clothed someone, if you fed someone, when they were in prison,
00:23:22.440 you visited them.
00:23:23.300 You brought them water when they were thirsty.
00:23:25.140 you know all those kinds of things and then you know and and you know on the last day I'll separate
00:23:30.440 you know the from the sheep on the right and the goats on the left and and I will say you did this
00:23:34.740 for me and and they will say to me you will say to me when did we do this when did we see you
00:23:39.500 Jesus naked and clothe you when did you then we see you hungry and feed you when did we see you
00:23:45.000 thirsty and give you something to drink and Jesus says he says I tell you the truth whatever you've
00:23:51.320 done for the least of these you've done for me now that's the myth buster right there i left out
00:23:56.200 one important phrase um so people then they'll go so this is your libtard christians um in america
00:24:02.440 libtard evangelicals the usual suspects your david french's your russell moore's your beth
00:24:06.560 moore your you know any more will do uh they're basically there's very little difference from
00:24:10.600 michael moore and beth moore and russell moore at this point so the but but what they'll do is
00:24:14.200 they'll say uh oh whatever you do for the least of these well who are the least of these oh that
00:24:17.500 The people in our society who are the least of these are those on the margins.
00:24:20.900 And so it's people who are poor, or it's people of the LGBT community, or it's the illegal immigrant.
00:24:26.880 I remember Stephen Colbert, this was years ago, but doing the same thing, quoting this passage as a professed Christian, a Catholic, and saying, you know, I look at the least of these, and then he cited, he said, I don't know anybody who's more the least of these than immigrants.
00:24:39.400 And he cited immigrants.
00:24:40.660 Well, here's what Jesus actually says.
00:24:42.160 Whatever you do, right?
00:24:43.460 When did we clothe you, Jesus?
00:24:44.900 When did we feed you?
00:24:45.760 whenever you did it for the least of these my brothers you did it for me that's what's actually
00:24:51.580 in the text so jesus and and it goes that goes perfectly in cross-referencing the whole biblical
00:24:56.380 theology with other texts whoever receives a prophet in my name receives a prophet's reward
00:25:01.080 whoever receives this in my name receive an evangelist receives uh you know that reward
00:25:06.000 um the point is this uh jesus says whatever you do for the least of these my brothers you visit
00:25:10.740 someone in prison because they're an unbelieving, atheistic child molester? No, that's not what
00:25:17.740 Jesus is saying. When he says, you visited me in prison, what Jesus has in mind is that you visited
00:25:23.560 a Christian who's been wrongfully imprisoned for preaching the gospel of Jesus. You've clothed
00:25:29.160 the naked. What Jesus has in mind is a brother, a sister in Christ who is impoverished and can't
00:25:34.700 afford clothing, or someone who has had their possessions robbed in persecution for their
00:25:39.500 Christian faith, and then another Christian who has not been persecuted comes to their aid
00:25:43.420 and helps team Jesus. It's my brother. So as often as you have opportunity, do good to all,
00:25:48.720 going back to Galatians, the Apostle Paul, but especially that is prioritized as a first
00:25:52.860 priority, the household of faith, and that clause of as often as you have opportunity,
00:25:58.160 well, here's the bottom line. It's time to wake up, Peter Pan. We can't forgive everybody's
00:26:03.720 student debt. We can't feed everyone and give them all free lunch. We can't let everyone into
00:26:10.200 our country. We, as often as you have opportunity, what you should read in there as just a common
00:26:15.440 sense, you know, brain functioning individual person, whether you're even a Christian or not,
00:26:19.980 is opportunity in this life with finite people is always limited. Of course it's limited. We
00:26:26.040 only have so much opportunity. Now, there are plenty of arguments that can be made to say,
00:26:31.320 well, but don't you maybe have more opportunity? Couldn't you be content to live on? Sure. So I'm
00:26:37.240 not saying that greed doesn't factor in. I'm not saying that gauging our opportunity as Western
00:26:43.260 Christians can't be skewed. How much opportunity we have to give to others can't be skewed by our
00:26:51.340 idolatry of pleasure or comfort or greed. I'm not saying that at all, but I'm just saying the facts
00:26:55.320 are even if you remove every ounce of greed eventually uh you i only have so uh so many
00:27:01.440 dollars in my bank account right now i only can put uh fit so many people in my house and give
00:27:05.900 them a place to sleep i only have so much uh food in my refrigerator and as it pertains to an
00:27:10.800 individual or a household so it is with a nation um and and so to say listen uh we want to protect
00:27:17.060 our borders because we have a responsibility to our people as often as we have opportunity we'll
00:27:22.740 do our best to love all people, but especially our people. When you start loving someone else's
00:27:28.540 kids, if I clothe every kid in my neighborhood, but I don't buy clothes for my kids, not only is
00:27:34.940 that wrong or misprioritization, the Bible has strong words for that. The apostle Paul says that
00:27:39.940 you've denied the faith. If a man won't provide for his own house, the members of his own house,
00:27:45.320 he's worse than an unbeliever. He has denied the faith. And so too, I believe that the general
00:27:51.000 equity of that command apply to the civil magistrate who is called to be within the
00:27:55.160 reform tradition and the ancient church fathers called to be a nurturing father to his people,
00:28:00.460 the citizens underneath his rule. If he is helping others, but to the cost of fulfilling his own
00:28:08.260 duty to clothe and provide and help his own people, his own citizens, then he is worse than
00:28:14.680 an unbeliever and he is denied the faith. And I mean, obviously we know that Joe Biden is not a
00:28:20.460 believer. Unless God works a miracle and saves him, some of the most tormenting places in hell
00:28:25.940 are reserved for that man. He is a terrible, terrible man. But there are far worse men who
00:28:30.340 are pulling the strings and using him as a puppet. But the point is this, there's plenty
00:28:35.300 of evidences. You can watch the new documentary that came out about Joe Biden's parenting. It's
00:28:40.040 called A Beekeeper. It's a documentary about Hunter Biden, you know, being the president,
00:28:44.540 having a son that's a complete drug. I'm being facetious, but it might as well have been a
00:28:48.900 documentary it's literally the whole premise i hate you know spoiler alert here but the whole
00:28:52.540 premise is you got a a woman president so there you go joe biden and then you've got uh her son
00:28:57.700 is just this deadbeat uh he's stealing from people he's a drug addict and doing drugs you
00:29:02.360 know in the white house and all these kinds of things and i literally thought man this is on the
00:29:05.580 nose uh but anyways all that being said the point is if you didn't have all the other evidence of
00:29:09.840 joe biden being pro-abortion being this being that and the other uh one evidence that he is not a
00:29:14.700 Christian and that he should be removed from office is that he is not a nurturing father.
00:29:19.460 He is worse than an unbeliever. He has denied the faith that he personally professes by caring for
00:29:24.800 the children of the world over the citizens that he has been entrusted to God. Any other thoughts?
00:29:32.060 If not, we're probably going to need to go to a commercial here in a moment.
00:29:35.020 But you said it well one time a while ago in a sermon, but the church is given to a mission of
00:29:39.460 mercy, not justice, and the state is given to a mission of justice, not mercy. So like we read,
00:29:44.180 for example, the Sermon on the Mount. There's many good virtues in it. Blessed are the peacekeeper,
00:29:48.260 blessed are the meek, blessed are the merciful. Those aren't categories to be applied one-to-one
00:29:52.900 to the civil state. You wouldn't want a police officer that showed up after your home was robbed
00:29:57.520 and said, well, you know, blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. We have to think in
00:30:01.640 categories and what categories God has given to these different, you could say spheres, you could
00:30:05.940 say institutions. So when you think of the state, don't start thinking of the Sermon on the Mount.
00:30:09.860 don't start thinking of personal ethics. Think of Romans 13, where it directly says that the
00:30:14.220 state has been given to protect, to wield a sword, to punish the wicked, to promote righteousness.
00:30:19.580 Just even an example, it's an interesting one, but in World War I, the U.S. used to have really
00:30:24.520 strict immigration control. There were strict quotas on how many people could come in, from
00:30:28.840 what countries, a good vetting system. Because of World War I, they allowed unchecked immigration
00:30:33.680 from the island of Sicily out near Italy. And what actually came over, so all the mob bosses
00:30:39.160 that eventually brought about the mafia which for decades plagued the american public with drugs and
00:30:44.260 with violence and all these different things that came about because they imported the problems
00:30:48.540 of another nation they they got sympathetic oh man these poor you know 30 year old able-bodied
00:30:54.180 fighting men they just need a place to retreat to and those men swooped in evil men came in set up
00:30:59.860 crime scenes set up crime bosses set up systems and networks that i mean cost billions of dollars
00:31:06.080 cost thousands of lives, and unleashed violence upon the American populace.
00:31:10.380 What if—
00:31:11.120 And got us the FBI.
00:31:12.740 Which might have been even worse, actually, all things considered.
00:31:15.560 What if everyone—okay, you're in Sicily.
00:31:17.220 How about you fight for Sicily?
00:31:18.620 You're in America.
00:31:19.400 Fight for America.
00:31:20.060 You are in Mexico.
00:31:21.000 And I can have sympathy for the Christian father that says,
00:31:23.540 my country is overrun by cartels.
00:31:25.760 My country is overrun by violent men.
00:31:27.840 Well, the Puritans and those who first settled this nation,
00:31:31.140 they didn't have a great place to go.
00:31:32.300 they had to fight and they had to die and they had to to through strength muster up the will to be a
00:31:38.620 people and if every country on their own the christians and non-christians like mustered up
00:31:43.200 that strength and will for themselves we wouldn't have these problems you have to fight for mexico
00:31:47.820 you have to fight for sicily these nations are not going away there's not new ones coming up
00:31:51.720 the line has to be drawn and if you're a citizen you were born there have some love for your
00:31:56.080 country fight for it each country fights for itself amen all right this is what i want to do
00:32:01.460 Let's go to a commercial and then we'll say a couple more words that I think will be helpful and important for you guys to hear.

00:33:30.440 his family out of Olney, Illinois. They believe that Christians should be building a thoroughly
00:33:36.000 Christian economy by doing business with other like-minded Christians. Just go to squirrelyjoes.com
00:33:43.260 and use promo code RRM for 20% off your purchase. Squirrelly Joe's Coffee, share coffee, serve
00:33:52.000 humbly, live faithfully. All right, well, welcome back. So just to recap, Governor Greg Abbott,
00:33:58.760 today, the governor of Texas, has declared an invasion at the border of Texas. He has told
00:34:03.160 the federal government that he will be securing the border, that agents that supposedly are
00:34:07.860 allowed to come in and cut the wire and let unchecked illegal immigration in, that they're
00:34:12.340 not allowed to. He's activated the Texas National Guard, declared an invasion, and it looks to be
00:34:16.440 going to take a stand at the border, take a stand for his citizens, for those that he has a sovereign
00:34:21.900 duty to protect. And so all that to say, God bless Governor Abbott. And it's funny, he's in a
00:34:27.500 wheelchair, but he has stood up more than so many other leaders have. The guy in the wheelchair is
00:34:33.620 standing much taller than the decrepit meatbag in the White House. So Michael, do you have a final
00:34:38.840 thought? My final thought is simply this. We really are in a situation where the doctrine
00:34:43.660 of the lesser magistrate applies, because we're not calling for vigilantes. We're not calling for
00:34:48.760 some sort of just, I'm angry, I'm going to, you know, take out my anger publicly. There is now
00:34:54.220 a magistrate of the state of Texas who is doing his godly duty, and it is not only good, but it's
00:34:59.940 necessary for citizens of Texas, which we are in, to submit to that, to come under that umbrella.
00:35:07.080 it. That is good and godly. That is within the order that God has designed and ordained. And so
00:35:13.020 when Christians and evangelicals and non-Christians come out and say, this is, you know, anyone who's
00:35:18.920 supporting Abbott, this is insurrection, and no, this is not. This is how God designed authority
00:35:26.000 structures to work. And if you are in a state that is not in this situation right now, it's perfectly
00:35:33.060 appropriate to call on your leaders to act in godly ways so that you can then come under their
00:35:38.560 good and godly leadership as well. So let's go ahead and land the plane for this episode. For
00:35:43.580 those of you who are watching, thanks for tuning in. We do this every single Wednesday at 4 p.m.
00:35:47.700 And we're actually, this isn't even the live stream that we had prepared because this was
00:35:50.620 news that dropped just a few hours ago today. So we pulled an audible and we went for it because
00:35:54.960 we wanted to get it to you as urgently as possible, talk about something that's fresh,
00:35:58.440 that's happening right now. So we're actually going to do two live streams. As soon as we
00:36:02.020 close this video. We're going to start our live stream for today. Real quick, Wes, plug it. What
00:36:05.920 are we talking about? We're talking about low-T pastors, low testosterone. We're talking about
00:36:09.760 Alistair Begg and how this factors into... No relation. No relation. That's one topic and then
00:36:14.520 a completely separate topic, Alistair Begg. On that topic and the rise of Donald Trump.
00:36:18.580 The rise of Donald Trump. Yep. And we're going to be talking about Sean Strickland as a great
00:36:23.120 godly example. I'm just kidding. He's not a great godly example, but we are going to talk about the
00:36:27.200 phenomenon of guys like him um who are saying no no no no i'm just not going to play your game i'm
00:36:32.200 not going to play the woke game i'm not going to uh pander to all the you know the leftists with
00:36:35.960 their you know cry bully tactics right used to a bully on the playground was was big you actually
00:36:40.420 had strength now it's whoever can cry the best i remember my dad teaching me that when i was a young
00:36:45.000 teenager i remember i made a girl cry and in this particular instance it was not my habit to go
00:36:49.760 around making girls cry but in this particular instance it was something that happened in the
00:36:52.720 youth group she was absolutely in the wrong and all i did i didn't touch her god forbid i would
00:36:56.460 never doing anything like that, but with words and carefully spoken, as careful as a young teenager
00:37:02.340 could, teenage boy. But I said, this is wrong. You can't do that. What you're doing is da-dot,
00:37:08.220 da-dot, da-dot, da-dot. That's what you're actually saying. That's what your actions are
00:37:11.260 portraying. And that's wrong. And she cried and went and told some of the adults in the church.
00:37:15.320 And the adults sat me down, the school marms, and started to try to longhouse me. And my dad,
00:37:20.060 who was the pastor of the church, he stepped in and stopped them. And then he talked and said,
00:37:24.560 no no no my son's right um and and he didn't just get my back because i'm his son there's plenty of
00:37:28.320 times that he was like my son's wrong um but you know he got my back and he shut down the school
00:37:33.060 marms in the long house and then he told me privately i remember he said uh joel a lesson
00:37:37.240 that you need to learn uh we live in a world that hates men and this was like this was you know
00:37:40.800 over 20 years ago he said um and a woman crying is uh is uh it's like a nuclear bomb you cannot
00:37:47.680 stop it um if uh if she cries she wins um he said i know that's wrong i know that's unjust but you
00:37:53.720 need to be aware of that right now you're a teenage boy you'll you'll get through it uh but
00:37:57.640 when you're a grown man if you if you make women cry um you will have tens of thousands of enemies
00:38:02.880 and uh and that's what i've devoted my life to it's not my cause but as i but as i preach against
00:38:08.960 feminism and these kinds of things um i have made um you know i i actually you know um actually you
00:38:15.320 know instead of tens of thousands i've made hundreds of thousands of women cry um and um
00:38:19.480 um and i you know i'm not trying to it's not my goal but my dad was right it is powerful because
00:38:25.800 because the white knights immediately come to their age so all that being said sean strickland
00:38:29.880 you know he's he's a ufc or what is it ufc fighter and you know he's doing the speech and
00:38:34.800 a lib libtard journalist you know is like well what do you think about you know minorities and
00:38:40.000 women and and transgender and he's like shut up and he uses you know lots of cursing so i don't
00:38:45.120 endorse the language but he uses lots of but then the big thing is like later in a press conference
00:38:49.180 he talks to he's given a speech and and the crowd is out there in front of him and he says i'm not
00:38:54.580 doing this for me i do it for you you're beaten down and and what shocked me is you just hear this
00:38:59.800 roar of of this this manly massive and they're like yeah and i just thought this isn't just a
00:39:05.880 bunch of guys who i'm sure some of these guys are degenerates um but it's not just degeneracy like
00:39:11.280 yeah fighter who's going to be it no no no it's guys who have been told uh for decades that they're
00:39:16.960 the scum of the earth, that they're hated, that this country is not for them, that the church is
00:39:20.320 not for them, that Jesus is not for them, that nothing is for them, that they're the problem and
00:39:24.860 the source of the problem of everything, and a guy stands up for them. That's all it takes,
00:39:28.760 just a guy. So whether it's standing up at our border and saying, I care about your children,
00:39:33.100 and I'm not going to let an invasion of 6 million more illegal immigrants, military-age
00:39:39.460 fighting men, come into the country and endanger your own posterity. So whether it's Biden at the
00:39:44.000 border whether it's sean strickland you know at a ufc you know after match speech um that is the
00:39:49.640 thing or donald trump the rise of donald trump um those that's what it is that's what it is is guy
