00:00:00.000Hey guys, real quick before we get started, I have a small request.
00:00:03.420If you've been blessed by our content and you like this show,
00:00:06.420would you take just a brief moment and leave us a five-star review?
00:00:09.760This is quite possibly the most effective thing that you can do
00:00:12.860to ensure that this content gets out to as many people as possible. Thanks.
00:00:18.020So I am sure that pretty much everybody, unless you live underneath a rock, has already heard the news
00:00:23.720that the Supreme Court has officially handed down not just a draft leak of what they might do,
00:00:29.720but their official decision, their opinion, what they're going to do in regards to Roe versus Wade,
00:00:35.120and it is officially going to be overturned. The first thing that I want to say is praise God. I'm
00:00:40.480going to start this video with a prayer. Father God, we thank you. We thank you for your mercy.
00:00:45.620We thank you that you give to us more than we deserve. Our nation, our society as a whole,
00:00:52.460Our culture has chosen to rebel against you, to be utterly wicked and heinous, raging and filled with malice towards you.
00:01:03.180And because we hate you, we hate children who have been created in your image.
00:01:08.700Children, all human beings, male, female, adult, child, black, white, they reveal or reflect your image, the Imago Dei, your image.
00:01:20.360but children in a unique sense as those in the womb, innocent, not yet tainted by the society
00:01:30.100at large. Yes, born in sin, but in a great and significant way, innocent. Those children truly
00:01:39.140reflect your image. All people do, but there is something unique about a child reflecting the
00:01:45.640image of the triune God. And so Lord, we know, we recognize that our nation hates children
00:01:51.640because our nation hates you. And the fact that Roe has now been struck down is something that
00:01:59.760we do not deserve. That is a kindness from you. That is a mercy from you. And so we give you
00:02:05.000praise. We give you honor. We give you thanks. We recognize that this is, many Christians have
00:02:10.800worked towards this. But ultimately, you are the one who brought this about. It is your sovereign
00:02:16.640providence. It is your doing. It is your grace. And so we honor and acknowledge you. We give you
00:02:22.440praise and thanksgiving. In Jesus' name, amen. All right. Two things. There's only two things I have
00:02:29.540to say. Number one, we've got to have a couple takeaways. I am concerned that many Christians
00:02:34.880are going to miss a few things here. Number one, voting matters. Voting matters. Really,
00:02:41.700you're going to talk about? Yeah, I'm going to talk about that. Voting matters. If Hillary Clinton
00:02:45.860had been president in 2016, this would not happen. All right, and I know people hate to do this,
00:02:53.160and here's the deal. This is not an intellectual problem. This is Romans 1. Romans 1 says that the
00:02:58.120problem with man is not intellectual. It is not that God has not revealed enough of his character.
00:03:03.920It's not that there's not enough evidence. It's not that there's not enough facts that point towards the existence of God and not just an ethereal deity, but the triune God of the Bible. His attributes have been clearly displayed by what he has made. His eternal power, his eternal nature, his divine power. These things are clearly seen.
00:03:26.760And the Bible says in Romans 1, they're not just clearly displayed by God, but the message
00:13:41.880or, or your votes can literally, you can just draw lots. You know, you can roll the dice,
00:13:46.540Hillary or Trump. It's exactly no, no, no, no, no, no. Trump. We didn't know if we could trust
00:13:51.280him. Maybe he won't be pro-life, but we knew Hillary would not be pro-life. We knew that
00:13:58.300we knew that she would be the most progressive, um, um, uh, aggressive, uh, pro murder, pro
00:14:07.660abortion president that our nation had ever seen in its 250 years of existence we knew that trump
00:14:16.480there wasn't a lot of certainty but but hillary there was certainty we were certain that she0.99
00:14:22.460wanted to murder children if trump had not been elected this would not have happened again this
00:14:28.840is not saying trump's a christian oh trump is great i'm not saying i'm not saying all of his
00:14:33.080policies were great I don't like what he did with the vaccine let me just be honest I don't like
00:14:38.080what Trump did with the vaccine I don't like what he did with the stimulus package and I'll tell you
00:14:42.860especially what I don't like I don't like that Trump put Fauci an unelected official and gave
00:14:49.460him more power than any American politician because that's what he was any American politician
00:14:55.740has ever had before Trump anointed priest Fauci we need to remember that right people say well I
00:15:02.500don't, I didn't like Trump because of his tweets. Well, grow up, grow up, okay? Put your big boy
00:15:07.800pants on. We live in the world. It's the real world. Grow up. Trump's tweets, right? His tweets
00:15:13.740were not Christian tweets, okay? So I'm not vouching for his tweets. I'm not saying that
00:15:20.140that was a good thing, but what I'm saying is my problem with Trump was a real problem. This is
00:15:24.200the problem that Christians should have had, not his rhetoric, not his tweets. That's a problem,
00:15:29.040but it is a small problem in comparison with what he did with Fauci that's the real problem
00:15:34.580and that's why I am a little bit hesitant I mean if Trump is on the ballot versus Biden yeah I'm
00:15:39.680voting for Trump of course because I'm a Christian of course and yes it is that simple it is that's
00:15:46.340the two dots again one dot straight line to the second dot it is that simple Trump or Biden you
00:15:51.820vote for Trump. Period. Period. That said, if I have a choice between someone like Trump and
00:15:58.620DeSantis, I would pick Ron DeSantis. I would. So Trump's problem was not his rhetoric. That was a
00:16:04.240problem. But the problem was the way that he dealt with things in 2020. A lot of the stuff that the
00:16:09.960Democrats have done have made it far, far, far worse. And they've done it with their eyes wide
00:16:14.020open. And it's fair to say that in 2020, Trump had a lot less information. That's true. But Trump did
00:16:19.020a bad job. A lot of the things that have hurt our culture and our society over these last two years,
00:16:24.280Trump started. You got to remember that. Trump started those things. So all that being said,
00:16:29.240I am not, I am not some radical MAGA Trumper. I'm not. But if you've got Trump and Hillary
00:16:38.660Clinton in 2016 on the ballot, the choice is clear. And thank God, thank God that enough
00:16:48.260Christians voted for Trump, or this would not be happening with Roe being overturned, period. It is
00:16:54.220that simple. So lesson number one, that you might say, Joel, do people really need to? Yes. Yeah,
00:17:00.980they need to hear this. Lesson number one, voting actually matters. Here, I'll say it like this.
00:17:07.140Perhaps you've heard this said in, in pulpits again and again and again, you know, the world
00:17:10.940will never change by legislation. It's only going to change by heart transformation, right? And we
00:17:17.400immediately say, oh, that must be universally true because a preacher said it and it rhymes,
00:17:23.880right? The standard for truth is not God's word and exegesis. The standard for truth
00:17:27.760is rhyming, right? I know I'm being facetious, but we act like that sometimes. Oh, that was a
00:17:34.020good statement. Okay, but dig into it a bit, right? So the world will never change. Cultures
00:17:39.320never change. Nations never change by legislation, but by heart transformation. This is what I want
00:17:44.660for people to understand no it's both it is primarily fundamentally the gospel conversion
00:17:53.080heart transformation it is that is always number one that is always number one that we would
00:17:59.280fulfill the great commission we would preach the gospel we would make disciples we would baptize
00:18:04.640the nations into the name of the triune god and teach them to obey all of christ's commands
00:18:10.720that is always primary conversion heart transformation but that is not at the expense
00:18:17.540of anything and everything else if no one no extra people are converted but abortion is made
00:18:26.660illegal and criminalized and some states will do it it's going to take some time but some states
00:18:32.920we'll do it. If abortion is made not only illegal, it can't be accessed, but it's actually
00:18:41.100criminalized. Like there are actual penalties. And I would advocate as a Christian that it should be
00:18:47.920equal penalties. Equal penalties, right, for murder. If you commit a homicide in any other
00:18:54.200kind of arena, this is a penalty, okay? Abortion is homicide. It should be the same penalties.
00:19:00.980I argue for equal penalties because equal penalties mean equal protection and equal protection for the unborn and the born means equal penalties, equal protection means equal value.
00:19:16.660How can you say, think about this for a second.
00:39:45.840Now, sadly, I hate to say this, but I'm going to say it.
00:39:48.200Sadly, I think too many evangelicals listened to John Piper on this last election and the article that he wrote about, oh, you can vote for Trump or Biden.
00:39:58.560No, he didn't explicitly say that, but that was the implication.
