00:00:00.000 Hey guys, real quick, before we get started, I have a small request.
00:00:03.420 If you've been blessed by our content and you like this show,
00:00:06.420 would you take just a brief moment and leave us a five-star review?
00:00:09.760 This is quite possibly the most effective thing that you can do
00:00:12.860 to ensure that this content gets out to as many people as possible. Thanks.
00:00:18.020 All right, welcome back to another live Q&A with yours truly, Pastor Joel Webin with Right Response Ministries.
00:00:23.860 We do this every Monday at 12 p.m. Central Time.
00:00:26.540 every Monday, 12 p.m. Central Time.
00:00:28.500 I've got at least three or four questions
00:00:29.960 that I'm gonna be taking today,
00:00:31.520 questions that you guys got in ahead of time.
00:00:33.540 Feel free to write in some questions
00:00:34.780 in the comment section as we're going.
00:00:37.140 If it's a question that I think that I could address,
00:00:39.480 that I could do well,
00:00:41.040 that would be helpful for multiple people,
00:00:43.120 then I'll do my best to get to it.
00:00:44.360 But some of you guys wrote in early,
00:00:46.480 and so I've got three or four questions
00:00:48.360 that Nathan has lined up for me
00:00:49.860 that I think are great questions.
00:00:51.160 Some of them are questions that you guys have asked
00:00:52.860 multiple weeks in a row
00:00:54.100 that I have not been able to get to,
00:00:56.040 but by God's grace, I'm going to get to them today. Now, before we get started, I've got to
00:01:00.220 make an important announcement. This is October 31st, Reformation Day. It's Halloween. Nope,
00:01:05.680 it's Reformation Day. So let's go ahead and throw up this announcement about our conference.
00:01:09.660 It's not only Reformation Day, it's also register for our conference now day. Okay,
00:01:15.300 so this is the Theonomy and Postmillennialism Conference. It's happening May 5th, 6th, and 7th.
00:01:20.920 That's a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the year of our Lord, 2023.
00:01:25.280 We've got a brand new speaker.
00:01:27.400 You guys are probably already aware that you've got me, Dr. James White, Dr. Joe Boot, Dr.
00:01:32.260 Gary DeMar, but we've now added Dale Partridge.
00:01:34.700 He's agreed to come and speak at our conference.
00:01:37.040 So we have five renowned, well-known, gifted, highly educated individuals who are speaking.
00:01:44.500 Well, we've got four, and then you've also got me.
00:01:46.720 So we've got four highly educated, renowned speakers at this conference, plus myself.
00:01:52.360 That's one of the ways to get yourself invited.
00:01:54.640 By the way, if you're wondering, how can I get on the conference circuit?
00:01:57.860 What you need to do is basically throw your own conference and then work your way into
00:02:05.060 the speaking schedule.
00:02:06.020 That's how you get on the conference circuit.
00:02:07.580 So anyways, this is happening.
00:02:09.460 Today's the last day if you want to register at our original early bird discounted rate.
00:02:15.660 It's $100.
00:02:16.120 We actually had somebody just write in and say, you know, does $100 include a spouse?
00:02:21.760 And we said, no, that's just for one adult.
00:02:24.280 And he said, well, are there any discounts at all?
00:02:26.180 And so, you know what?
00:02:26.960 I'm going to make you a deal.
00:02:27.980 Here's the discount.
00:02:29.460 We are going to charge the same thing that John MacArthur charges for a Shepherds Conference,
00:02:34.280 which is about half a grand, $500.
00:02:36.840 But today, it's 80% off, $100.
00:02:40.580 There's an 80% discount.
00:02:42.660 Guys, the reality is this.
00:02:43.680 Look, $100 for an adult to come to a three-day conference with about a dozen sessions, two
00:02:51.940 live panels with all the guys taking questions from the audience, Friday night and Saturday
00:02:57.480 night, a catered barbecue dinner included in your registration fee, to do all of that
00:03:02.720 for $100 with James White and Gary DeMar and Joe Boot and Dale Partridge, that is the discounted
00:03:09.980 rate.
00:03:10.200 And it's not just slightly discounted.
00:03:12.300 you're not going to find another conference like that. If you go to Fight Laugh Feast,
00:03:17.080 which I went to, it was great. Gabriel Wrench, you know, one of the guys with CrossPolitik,
00:03:21.720 Fight Laugh Feast, he's on our board with Right Response. Great guy, great conference,
00:03:26.680 fantastic, but it's about $250. And so we are charging less than half. We are charging 40%
00:03:34.920 of what Fight Laugh Feast charges. ReformCon, another awesome conference, and really affordable,
00:03:40.800 cheaper than Fight Laugh Feast. And that's Jeff Durbin, James White. Those guys have been putting
00:03:45.200 this conference on for a few years now. But still, even for them, I think I can't remember the exact
00:03:50.200 number, but I think it's about 180 bucks or it might be even 230 or something like that. You
00:03:55.380 know, if you register later, I think it's in the 200s. And so this is $100. But today is the last
00:04:01.800 day starting tomorrow, November 1st, tomorrow, the rate is going to go up to 130. So if you want to
00:04:08.580 save $30, you can register today. I strongly encourage you guys register today. Big kids,
00:04:15.460 I can't call them teenagers because technically that starts with 13. So these are big kids slash
00:04:19.920 teenagers. That's 11 year olds through 17 year olds is $50. And then every child 10 and under
00:04:25.960 is free. So if you got little kids, they're free. It's just you and your spouse. If you want a family
00:04:30.800 discount, the family discount is it's $200 for you and your spouse and all your little kids to
00:04:36.940 attend this conference. That is the family discount. And that is incredibly, incredibly
00:04:41.140 cheap by comparison to other conferences of a similar comparable caliber. All right. So it's
00:04:47.540 $200. If you want to bring the whole family, if you've got a few teenagers, then it may be
00:04:51.260 250 or $300. If you have two teenagers that are going to come with you and your spouse,
00:04:56.280 but you can do all that today, starting tomorrow. Again, adults, it's going to go from a hundred
00:05:01.080 to $130. From $100 to $130. The big kids at $50, that'll stay the same. So 11-year-olds
00:05:09.780 through 17-year-olds will still be $50 and children will still be free. But adults will
00:05:15.640 go from $100 to $130. This conference is going to be phenomenal. I strongly encourage you guys
00:05:22.060 to attend. If you're anywhere in the nation, remotely close, I encourage you to try to attend.
00:05:28.620 I know that some of you guys are looking at attending from quite a distance.
00:05:32.680 We've got people coming from New York, people coming from California.
00:05:35.820 I know that travel costs money, especially costs money thanks to President Joe Biden
00:05:41.140 and his inflation.
00:05:42.800 But again, what we're trying to do to serve you to the best of our ability is I can't
00:05:47.360 do anything about your plane flight and the cost of airfare.
00:05:50.860 I can't do much about hotels, but what I can do is keep the conference cheap.
00:05:54.780 And so I'm encouraging one last time, encouraging you to register at this very affordable price,
00:06:01.620 $100 for an adult, register today at midnight central time.
00:06:06.260 Midnight central time, boom, it's $130, all right?
00:06:09.420 So you have a few hours left.
00:06:11.220 Celebrate Reformation Day by registering to come to the Post-Millennial Theonomy Conference
00:06:16.760 with Joe Boot, James White, Gary DeMar, Dale Partridge, and yours truly.
00:06:21.960 All right, let's go ahead and hop into it.
00:06:23.660 this is what I want to do. So I've titled this video, The Sin of Women, The Sin of Women. So I
00:06:29.420 want to start with this concept, this topic, and then we'll move on and take a few questions,
00:06:34.400 all right? That's all I'm going to do for announcements in this video so that I have
00:06:37.720 time to get to some of the questions. But this is what I want to read, all right? These are some
00:06:41.540 quotes from various articles and different studies giving some statistics in regards to divorce,
00:06:48.520 particularly divorce in America okay gazelle I don't even know how to say her name I am not
00:06:55.420 I'm not up on culture and pop stars and stuff like that I'm up on politics I'm up on culture
00:07:03.600 in terms of things that really matter but if you ask me about trying to think of one celebrity
00:07:10.420 that I could name I don't know if you if you ask me about Jessica Alba I really I can't even
00:07:17.480 picture her face. I don't even know who that is. I just remember the name, you know, or some kind
00:07:22.400 of star. I don't really know. Okay. So I'm certain that I'm pronouncing this incorrectly, but here
00:07:27.480 we go. Gazelle Bonnbunctin. It's probably German. It's Reformation Day. The least I could do is get
00:07:35.780 a German name right, but I can't. I just can't. I'm sorry. So anyways, you'll know this other name,
00:07:41.280 gazelle something something and tom brady are over okay so this is tom brady's wife they're done
00:07:48.080 their marriage is over tmz sports has learned that the supermodel just filed for divorce from the nfl
00:07:54.820 superstar that's the way it usually goes the woman in the vast majority of cases is usually the one
00:08:03.500 who initiates divorce that's what we currently have going on in the united states of america
00:08:08.980 when it comes to divorce, more often than not, it is the woman who initiates divorce, okay? Now,
00:08:15.080 a study led by the American Sociological Association determined that nearly 70%
00:08:21.100 of divorces are initiated by women. And the percentage of college-educated American women
00:08:27.620 who initiate divorce is even higher, hovering around 90%. So if you have a college-educated
00:08:34.380 woman who is married and that marriage ends in divorce, there's a nine out of ten chance that
00:08:41.020 she's the one who initiated it, not her husband. Now, in attempting to explain the disproportionate
00:08:47.040 amount of divorces that are initiated by women, many, in error, they're wrong, but many would
00:08:53.400 respond by saying, well, that's because men are physically stronger and the women have to make
00:08:58.320 use of their legal options for divorce because they are almost always the abused party.
00:09:04.380 however this is not statistically true although that does happen in particular instances and it
00:09:11.140 is an egregious sin when a man physically abuses his wife that is absolutely a heinous sin
00:09:18.260 however this this may happen but this is not the statistical norm a 2006 study of physical and
00:09:25.840 physiological aggression revealed instances of minor aggression initiated by men in 23.3%
00:09:35.200 of cases. So minor aggression initiated by men in 23.3% of the cases, while there were instances
00:09:43.100 of minor aggression initiated by women in 33.8% of the cases. That's almost a 50% increase.
00:09:52.900 all right so there's about three women for every two men that initiate now we're talking about
00:09:59.380 abuse in minor aggression cases of abuse there are three women who initiate they're the ones who
00:10:06.640 who actually act out that minor aggression abuse they're the ones who acted out three for every
00:10:12.360 men. Okay, let's keep reading. Women also led the men in cases of severe aggression. So with
00:10:23.080 physical abuse in cases of severe aggression, women actually still led the men in these cases
00:10:30.040 with male-initiated aggression, severe aggression at 8.4% of the cases, and female-initiated
00:10:37.480 aggression in 11.5% of the cases. When we think of abuse, again, men can be abusive. Certainly men
00:10:44.340 are sinners. But the reality is that statistically, if there's a marriage between a man and a woman
00:10:49.900 and one of those two married individuals punches the other person in the face, it is more likely
00:10:56.200 to be the wife than the husband. It's more likely to be the wife than it is the husband. In
00:11:01.900 relationships where violence was non-mutual, almost 70% of the violence was perpetrated by
00:11:08.680 the women. In other words, in almost 7 out of 10 cases of mutual violence, the batterer was a
00:11:16.180 female. Now, women who participated in mutually violent behavior with their male partners were
00:11:22.000 more likely to display a pattern of repeated violence than men. Men's violence was much more
00:11:28.840 likely to be isolated. A one-time event where the man lost his temper, he forfeited self-control,
00:11:36.060 and he sinned against God and his wife and his children egregiously. It is a serious sin, okay?
00:11:42.480 I'm not minimizing physical abuse from men. However, it more often than not comes from women
00:11:48.940 at the minor level and at the severe level. At any form of physical abuse, whether it be minor or
00:11:54.280 severe, it is a three to two ratio of women with minor aggression in the realm of physical abuse,
00:12:00.920 and it's still a higher statistic of women with severe, severe aggression and abuse, a higher
00:12:08.600 statistic of women who initiate than men. In mutual cases, where there's abuse on both sides,
00:12:14.540 it is more often seven out of ten times the woman who initiated it. And when abuse is repetitive,
00:12:21.700 when it continues, it's more than just one isolated event, again, it is much more likely
00:12:26.800 to be women. If a man is abusive, there is a likelihood that it's a one-off event. Wrong,
00:12:33.680 immoral, wicked, heinous, yes, but very likely to be an isolated event. I shouldn't say very
00:12:41.000 likely. Right there, I need to be more careful. When this happens and it is an isolated event,
00:12:46.120 it is more likely that it is a man with an isolated event of physical abuse than a woman.
00:12:51.700 women are more likely, I can say, more likely to repeat physical aggression and physical abuse
00:12:58.520 against their husbands than men are against their wives, all right? So what have we learned? What
00:13:03.780 we learned is that women are sinners. Women are sinners. Now, let me be clear. Do I, Pastor Joel
00:13:11.940 Webber with Right Response Ministries, believe that women are inherently more sinful than men?
00:13:16.700 Yes. No. No, I don't. I don't believe that women are more inherently sinful, that just by virtue of just biologically being a female, that you have a higher propensity or a greater degree of immorality than your male counterpart.
00:13:35.740 No, I don't believe that women are inherently more sinful than men.
00:13:40.100 This is what I believe. I believe that with any individual, whether it be an isolated individual
00:13:46.140 person or whether it be a group of people, a group of individuals, that people, the nature of sin and
00:13:52.060 the way that it works in the world, when sin goes unchecked, when sin goes without accountability,
00:13:59.380 when sin goes on without recourse, without judgment, without the necessary and biblical
00:14:07.160 consequences that God prescribes in his word. When any sin goes unchecked, it's going to grow.
00:14:14.760 It's going to grow. It's going to occur again and again and again. So do I believe that women are
00:14:19.600 inherently more sinful than men? No. But do I believe that at this juncture, at this particular
00:14:25.540 cultural moment, especially in the West, and especially even more so in the United States of
00:14:31.060 America, do I believe that women are sinning at a higher degree and a higher frequency than men
00:14:38.300 in the realm of marriage? And we could probably argue other arenas as well, but in the realm of
00:14:43.180 marriage, particularly as it pertains to abuse and divorce, yes. Yes, that's what the statistics bear.
00:14:50.200 Women are sinning worse, in worse ways, and with a higher frequency than men. It is not because
00:14:57.120 women are inherently more sinful than men, but it is because women for decades now in the West,
00:15:03.300 and particularly the United States of America, their sin has gone on unchecked. Unchecked. So
00:15:10.540 they're not naturally more sinful than men. But any sin that's not rebuked, that's not corrected,
00:15:17.180 that doesn't receive the necessary consequences for that sin, any sin that is not ultimately
00:15:23.380 addressed and held accountable is the sin that will continue and often the sin that will grow
00:15:30.600 and sadly as it pertains to our culture in the west today for the last several decades but in
00:15:37.900 recent history in the west in western societies women the sin of women has been by and large
00:15:47.280 held far less accountable than the sin of men.
00:15:52.680 You know, guys like Michael Foster,
00:15:54.440 who's a friend of mine,
00:15:55.700 and other guys like Brian Sauve and Eric Kahn,
00:15:58.980 any guy who does anything on biblical manhood,
00:16:01.300 I've said it myself,
00:16:02.620 if you're wanting to know,
00:16:04.300 if you're a young man
00:16:05.140 and you're aspiring to biblical patriarchy
00:16:07.200 and you want to embody biblical traits of masculinity
00:16:11.500 and you're wondering what those are
00:16:13.040 and what you should pursue,
00:16:14.280 what actions you should take,
00:16:15.720 one of the best things that you can find is simply picking up the most pagan worldly magazine you can
00:16:22.560 imagine and following every step and every trait that they esteem and that they encourage but just
00:16:29.220 make sure that the magazine you're reading is a magazine written for women and not men if you find
00:16:34.820 a worldly magazine for women it's going to say hey you know you should take initiative you should
00:16:39.620 take responsibility you should exude more confidence you should do this you should do that
00:16:43.980 you should be aggressive, be aggressive. Those are the kinds of things that are constantly being
00:16:49.580 touted and encouraged and esteemed so long as these traits are found in women. And some of the
00:16:57.440 worst material that you could read, sadly, would be material about biblical masculinity that comes
00:17:03.900 from the evangelical church. Even the evangelical church, there is so much of the pagan worldly
00:17:10.220 culture that is seeped into the American evangelical church, it is tragic. It is absolutely
00:17:16.220 tragic. I mean, you'll find it even at the youngest ages in a children's ministry at the church,
00:17:22.320 which our church doesn't have a children's ministry. We have church and children go to
00:17:25.800 church with their moms and dads. But for those churches that do have children's ministries and
00:17:31.300 they're directing little girls in a certain way and directing little boys in a certain way,
00:17:37.060 Most of the direction that they provide when it comes to young boys is trying to encourage
00:17:42.580 them to be gentle, trying to encourage them to be meek, right?
00:17:45.840 Meek and lowly, right?
00:17:47.460 Gentle and lowly.
00:17:48.600 These are the kinds of books that sell, right?
00:17:50.820 Where you emphasize certain character traits of Jesus that are true, that are biblically
00:17:56.340 mentioned.
00:17:56.940 They are true, but it's incomplete.
00:17:59.500 Jesus is lowly and gentle.
00:18:01.800 He is.
00:18:03.260 But that's not all he is.
00:18:04.940 Jesus is the lamb who was slain for the sins of the world but Jesus is also the lion of the tribe
00:18:12.240 of Judah Jesus came John 3 17 he did not come to condemn the world but to save the world but Jesus
00:18:19.700 is also going to come again and he who rules the nations with an iron scepter all knees will bow
00:18:26.500 all tongues will confess and as Matthew Henry the late great Puritan once said every knee that will
00:18:31.880 not bow will break and why will it break because jesus is going to take his iron scepter and break
00:18:38.060 their kneecaps that's why that every person will bow to king jesus he is lowly and gentle he is
00:18:45.480 meek and mild he is a lamb but he is also a lion he is fierce john chapter 2 he fashions a whip
00:18:52.560 braided with cords to drive the money changers out of his father's house because zeal for his
00:18:59.540 father's house consumes him. Jesus was a man. He was a man. He was a masculine man. And to say
00:19:09.060 anything otherwise is to twist the person and work of Jesus and defy the clear scriptural
00:19:16.680 teachings. That's just false. It's absolutely false. So our culture, and sadly, even our
00:19:25.460 churches many of them encourage men to be docile from a very young age three-year-old four-year-old
00:19:31.760 boys who are being boys are are emotionally and metaphorically castrated by the church
00:19:40.040 so the church would object with literal castration we're trying to trans kids right
00:19:46.040 trying to mutilate children with the whole transgender insanity the church would object
00:19:51.780 to physical castration of young boys, but the church itself is complicit and engaged in spiritual
00:19:58.680 and emotional castration of young boys, saying, oh, well, a boy, if he really wants to be a man,
00:20:05.080 he wants to be godly, these are the traits. He needs to be docile. He needs to be quiet. He needs
00:20:10.320 to be gentle. You know the irony, the irony with that? The Bible literally says when it comes to
00:20:16.000 a woman, what is beautiful in the sight of God is not outward beauty that's imperishable, although
00:20:22.000 a woman should seek to outwardly be beautiful, and a man outwardly should seek to be strong.
00:20:28.040 That's not, just for the record, that's not shallow. There is a way of overstepping the
00:20:33.700 bounds where you step into the realm of sinful vanity, but for women to wear dresses is a good
00:20:41.580 thing. My wife wears lots of dresses. She dresses like a woman. My wife takes time to do her hair.
00:20:49.120 My wife takes time to put on makeup. She doesn't do it every day. She doesn't do it for every
00:20:53.600 occasion, but my wife is seeking to be feminine inside and outside. And men, likewise, in terms
00:21:00.080 of strength, we want masculine spiritual strength. We want emotional resolve, but we also want
00:21:06.600 physical strength. Why? Why should a man care about that? We've gone to such great lengths
00:21:12.660 in the soft, narrow, complementarian, squishy, effeminate church world to say that, well,
00:21:18.800 a man's physical strength doesn't say anything about biblical masculinity. Yes, it does.
00:21:25.120 Yes, it does. There is some value. Paul doesn't say, you know, spiritual training is of immense
00:21:31.160 value and physical training is of no value no he says physical training it's of less value than
00:21:37.340 spiritual training but it's still of some value and and when we think of what it means to be a
00:21:42.520 man two of the chief responsibilities of a man is to provide and protect provide and protect and in
00:21:48.840 our world in our culture in our societies that are increasingly growing in hostility even physical
00:21:55.240 literal hostility for a man to be in shape for a man to be have some kind of training some
00:22:01.180 preparation owning a gun those kinds of things but then also physical training to be able to subdue
00:22:06.580 and take down an intruder in the home if there's some kind of precarious scenario where he can't
00:22:12.220 get to his gun for whatever reason all that falls in line with a man's responsibility and god-given
00:22:18.580 duty to provide and protect so a man's not working out so that he can flex in his pictures on
00:22:24.020 instagram that's vanity but for a man to be in shape and to have not just emotional and spiritual
00:22:30.200 and intellectual strength but actually physical prowess and physical strength is a realm it is a
00:22:37.800 portion of biblical god-honoring masculinity because it serves a man in his role to provide
00:22:45.720 and protect to provide and protect and so my whole point in all this is again is to say women are not
00:22:52.600 inherently more sinful than men, but what happens in a culture and a society and even in the
00:22:59.740 American church when the sin of women goes unchecked for decades and when women are encouraged
00:23:07.560 even by pastors to be more aggressive, more assertive, and little boys from the earliest
00:23:13.920 age you can imagine are encouraged and even rebuked for any initiative, any sense of confidence,
00:23:21.820 they're encouraged and commanded in many cases to be more gentle, more docile, there's a problem.
00:23:30.380 Again, back to this first Peter chapter three, it says that women should have imperishable beauty
00:23:35.880 of the heart. So, you know, the outward beauty matters and outward strength for a man matters.
00:23:41.800 Physical beauty and physical strength for women and men respectively does matter. That is, there
00:23:47.920 is a biblical category for that. It is of infinite value, the most value? No, but it is of some
00:23:54.860 value. We're not Gnostics, right? The Apostle Paul doesn't say the physical is of no value. No, he
00:24:00.520 says this is of more value, but the physical is still of some value. So there needs to be an
00:24:06.760 attempt, I believe, with godly women who fear the Lord and love their husbands, some measure of
00:24:11.860 attempt to look feminine in physical actual literal ways and men likewise to be strong as
00:24:18.620 protectors to focus on that in physical actual literal ways but first peter 3 goes on to say
00:24:25.060 that the the beauty that is imperishable that doesn't fade with age that never goes away that
00:24:31.820 is most pleasing to the lord is the inward beauty not outward but inward beauty of the heart and
00:24:37.720 then 1 Peter 3 specifies even further by saying that this is a quiet and gentle spirit. Stop
00:24:46.120 right there. Think about that for a moment. A gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious
00:24:52.800 in the sight of God. Precious in the sight of God when God finds it, a gentle and quiet spirit,
00:25:00.080 but when God finds it in who is the question when he finds it in women not men that doesn't mean
00:25:10.100 that that men are not commanded to be gentle in any regard Jesus was gentle men are commanded to
00:25:17.880 be gentle but but when we're speaking of what should most clearly characterize the ethos of a
00:25:25.600 person. It is in the case of women, not men, but in the case of women, that their character traits
00:25:32.720 are culminated in climax in the two words of gentleness and a quiet spirit. Men should possess
00:25:42.320 some measure of gentleness. And all people, both men and women, the scripture says, should be slow
00:25:48.760 to speak and quick to listen. Well, the Proverbs say that when words are many, sin is not absent.
00:25:55.600 right? So every man, as he seeks to be wise and not a fool, will have some measure of quietness
00:26:03.160 about him, a quietness that proceeds from wisdom, not insecurity, not effeminacy. But only in the
00:26:11.120 case of women, not men, but in the case of women, are these two character traits rising to the very
00:26:18.300 top of the list, that a woman should be embodying, a woman should be defined, and the lion's share of
00:26:28.560 who she is should be gentle and a quiet spirit. Gentle and a quiet spirit. Now, if you take that
00:26:37.280 in mind, and then you just listen, just listen to the world and the ways that it disciples women,
00:26:42.780 And sadly, again, listen to the American evangelical church and the advice given by pastors to women.
00:26:50.420 How often are women told, you probably need to shut up a little bit.
00:26:55.080 You need to be quiet.
00:26:57.060 You're speaking about things that you do not know.
00:26:59.220 This is not your place.
00:27:01.200 The Bible says in 1 Corinthians chapter 14, it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.
00:27:06.680 You need to be silent.
00:27:08.640 1 Timothy chapter 2 verses 9 through 15.
00:27:12.120 a woman must learn in quietness and full submission.
00:27:16.120 I do not permit a woman to teach or have any authority over a man.
00:27:20.100 That is not one prohibition, but two.
00:27:22.740 It is not a woman can't teach with authority.
00:27:25.480 No, she cannot teach or exercise authority over a man.
00:27:30.700 These are the clear teachings of Scripture.
00:27:32.880 1 Peter 3 goes on to say that women should follow the example of the great godly matriarch,
00:27:37.520 Sarah, who called her husband, Abraham, her lord.
00:27:42.120 lowercase l but lord meaning sir or sire she called abraham her lord and women godly women
00:27:52.240 are commanded in first peter chapter three that they should follow her in her example have you
00:27:58.000 ever stopped and thought for a moment i i think i may have said this recently on one of my videos
00:28:03.320 but just in case i didn't i want to make sure i get it out there have you ever thought about the
00:28:06.880 fact that jesus is king of kings and lord of lords right and and when we think about jesus
00:28:12.840 ruling and reigning but not just an ethereal spiritual rule and reign in heaven exclusively
00:28:18.920 but that he's ruling and reigning at the right hand of god the father almighty who is in heaven
00:28:23.420 but his rule and reign his kingdom is in heaven and on earth right the last thing that jesus says
00:28:29.700 before issuing the great commission in matthew chapter 28 all authority in heaven and on earth
00:28:35.580 has been given to me therefore go go and disciple the nations baptizing them into the name of the
00:28:41.560 father the son and the holy spirit and teach them my law proclaim gospel conversion baptism
00:28:48.460 but also teach law the first use of the law that reveals the necessity for salvation because it
00:28:54.700 reveals the holiness of god and the sinfulness of man but also the third use of the law that the law
00:28:59.480 is a lamp unto my feet that we actually as christians are commanded to obey not to merit
00:29:04.480 salvation but as a response of gratitude and obedience for the free salvation we have in
00:29:09.840 Christ Jesus because obedience to God's law in this world actually matters it actually matters
00:29:16.540 Jesus before giving this great commission including everything that I've just said he prefaces it by
00:29:22.700 saying listen up guys and the reason why you should listen up is because I'm in charge and my
00:29:28.180 in charge-ness my authority my kingliness is not just an ethereal spiritual kingly rule in heaven
00:29:36.580 but i have all authority on earth as it is in heaven so when the bible says back to my original
00:29:42.600 point when the bible says that jesus is the king of kings and lord of lords uh who are those other
00:29:47.780 kings have you ever stopped and thought about that who are these other lords jesus is the capital k
00:29:53.520 king of lowercase k kings and the capital l lord of lowercase l lords is jesus king of only
00:30:02.940 exclusively heavenly kings and what would those heavenly kings be and is jesus only the lord of
00:30:10.060 heavenly lords or when jesus says that he's king of kings and lord of lords does that include
00:30:15.560 perhaps that jesus is king of earthly kings and earthly lords and if you ever stop and wonder just
00:30:22.620 for a moment, if it does include earthly kings and lords, who are some of these earthly kings
00:30:27.660 and lords? Well, I'll give you an idea. Some of these earthly lords are called husbands.
00:30:35.660 All the way back to 1 Peter chapter 3, Sarah called her husband, Abraham, her lord. Lowercase
00:30:43.400 L, but lord. He was lord of their marriage, lord of their home. He is the head of his wife,
00:30:51.880 and the head of their children, the head of their household, in their household, in their home,
00:30:57.580 Abraham was a Lord. Not the Lord, not capital L Lord, but a Lord. And so when the Bible says
00:31:05.980 that Jesus is Lord of Lords, what the Bible is saying is this, that the head of every wife is
00:31:11.420 her husband and the head of every man is Christ. That a man is a Lord of his home, but there is a
00:31:17.140 lord above all lords a lord of lords who is christ jesus that christ is the ultimate capital l lord
00:31:24.000 of every marriage and every home because he is lord of lords meaning that that man that human
00:31:31.080 man in the home that husband that father he is also a lord he is a lesser lord underneath the
00:31:38.940 ultimate lord who is christ but he is a lord nonetheless where is this preaching that's my
00:31:46.120 question in the american church in the american evangelical church over the last 30 40 years
00:31:51.400 probably more where is this preaching where are women encouraged not to speak in church because
00:31:57.740 it's shameful where are women encouraged to cover their head in accordance with first corinthians
00:32:05.040 chapter 11 as they worship on the lord's day with the gathering of the saints where are women
00:32:11.220 encouraged to embody many godly characteristics, but especially to be defined in their life,
00:32:19.260 in their character, by gentleness and a quiet spirit? Where are women reminded that they are
00:32:27.040 not to have any authority over a man, not to exercise authority over a man or to teach
00:32:33.800 a man, but that they should learn in quietness and full submission?
00:32:41.220 Here's another one.
00:32:43.760 How many sermons have you heard lately that say that women, in accordance with Genesis chapter 3,
00:32:49.080 have a higher propensity of being deceived than men?
00:32:54.140 No, Joel, that's not what that text means.
00:32:57.640 That's not, that can't be, no.
00:33:00.440 Yes, yes.
00:33:02.420 I do believe that Genesis chapter 3, that what we see in the case of Eve,
00:33:06.200 is that she and all her offspring, all her daughters have a higher propensity of being
00:33:13.140 deceived than men do. And this is one of the reasons why what we find again and again in the
00:33:19.020 New Testament when it comes to false prophets and false teachers is that the primary audience
00:33:25.600 that they actually deceive and lead astray are weak-willed women. Women. They creep into
00:33:33.800 women's households. They lead astray women. Now listen, here's the deal. Women are gifted,
00:33:42.020 immensely gifted by God, endowed with certain giftings that men do not possess. We need each
00:33:48.300 other. Absolutely. But when you put a creature designed by the creator with certain attributes
00:33:56.920 and certain roles into a context that it's not suited for disaster is the result disaster is
00:34:06.600 the result right take a fish right if you just want to illustrate you know this principle you
00:34:11.960 want to you want to test it and see what may i don't know joel you sound a bit extreme uh then
00:34:16.220 go ahead test it test the theory take a pet goldfish out of its bowl and throw it up in the
00:34:21.560 air outside and see how it fares. We'll see how well it does, right? Birds do great up in the air
00:34:28.680 because they're designed for it, right? Or reverse it. Take a bird and tie a brick around its leg
00:34:36.900 and put it in a bowl of water and see how that bird does. It's going to drown. See, here's the
00:34:44.080 deal. We don't just have complementing roles, men and women. We have complementing roles that stem
00:34:49.380 from our complementing design see what complementarianism has sought to do over and
00:34:55.660 against the biblical teaching of patriarchy what complementarianism has sought to do is ultimately
00:35:01.320 indict god as being arbitrary did you know that that's what complementarianism does it's a
00:35:07.620 subtle and really not so subtle but a subtle indictment an accusation hurled against god
00:35:13.780 himself for being arbitrary right women are called to one particular role men are called to another
00:35:19.780 particular role these two roles complement one another but at the end of the day these two roles
00:35:24.240 a woman could really do anything that a man does and a man could do anything that a woman does
00:35:28.060 but but that's just not what god has commanded which ultimately is insinuating that god has
00:35:32.820 called men and women to different things to complement one another but god's callings of
00:35:37.420 roles and responsibilities for men and women respectively is arbitrary. It's not actually
00:35:44.440 stemming from anything in God's created order, and the Bible would reject that. It's not just,
00:35:52.000 hey, birds are called to fly and fish are called to swim because God said so. Well, yeah, but doesn't
00:35:58.840 it also have something to do with the fact that birds have feathers and wings and a hollow bone
00:36:03.520 structure and fish have gills and scales and fins? Like, are we certain that the way that
00:36:10.460 these two creatures are designed doesn't have anything to do with their roles of flying and
00:36:17.160 swimming? Of course it does. And so too with men and women. Men and women were made differently by
00:36:24.460 God. So the old adage of a woman saying to a man, anything you could do, I could do better. I could
00:36:30.280 do anything better than you, but I'm not called to, said complementarianism. No. What biblical
00:36:38.540 patriarchy would say, on the other hand, is anything you can do, I can't do. Not just because
00:36:44.720 I'm not called to it, not just because it's not permissible in scripture. No, I literally can't do
00:36:49.720 it. So it's not just that a woman is not called to preach, right? Let me get specific with an
00:36:54.820 example here it's not just that a woman cannot is not called to preach a woman cannot preach
00:37:00.160 she cannot preach and you won't hear people saying this very often but i'm saying it now
00:37:05.180 a woman is not called to preach because she can't preach she has not been created and designed
00:37:12.860 specifically by god for that role she's not able to do it it's not just she's not permitted to do
00:37:20.240 she is not able to do it because preaching is a fatherly task and preaching is a warrior task
00:37:28.220 preaching is the role of a father and preaching is the role of a soldier more than a soldier i
00:37:36.200 would argue it's the role of of someone higher up above soldiers a lieutenant a captain a general
00:37:42.000 preaching is when a man gives fatherly instruction to his spiritual sons and when he charges
00:37:49.700 soldiers militia in the army to attack he rallies them to battle a good picture of preaching is
00:37:58.540 William Wallace riding down the line on his horse with his face painted blue charging all the men
00:38:04.460 rattling their swords and spears as he goes by saying it's time it's time for war preaching
00:38:12.120 it admonishes, it corrects, it consoles, it comforts, but it does all of this not with a
00:38:20.020 womanly nature, but a fatherly nature. Preaching is not motherly, it's fatherly. And preaching is
00:38:27.540 not docile, it's aggressive at times. There are certain portions of the sermon where I am,
00:38:34.400 as a father, instructing the people of God, the children of God, and at other times,
00:38:39.700 as a general, I am calling the people of God to war. I am charging them to run into the battle,
00:38:47.820 to run into the fray. This is not merely something that a woman should not do. It is something that
00:38:53.520 a woman cannot do. And the only reason it has appeared as though women can preach like Beth
00:38:59.260 Moore is because one, we have gutted out what it means to be a man. Two, we've gutted out what it
00:39:06.100 means to be a woman, and three, we've gutted out what it means to preach. If preaching, according
00:39:12.460 to the American Evangelical Church, is nothing more than a soft, fern-pacing 20-minute TED talk,
00:39:19.520 then sure, Beth Moore can do it. Part of the reason people have opted for egalitarianism
00:39:24.540 and soft, squishy complementarianism that thinks that certain women could preach is because we've
00:39:30.360 gutted preaching? Not just have we gutted biblical gender, but we've actually gutted the art and duty
00:39:36.920 of preaching. We've said that preaching is soft. Preaching is mild. Preaching is gentle. Preaching
00:39:46.520 is this. Preaching is that. It's all these just genderless things, these squishy, androgynous
00:39:55.240 religious things. And so, of course, why couldn't a woman do that? But when you read sermon
00:40:01.320 manuscripts from Charles Spurgeon and the Puritans and Jonathan Edwards, and you think about Beth
00:40:07.340 Moore delivering, you know, the sermon, Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God. I mean, think about
00:40:13.040 that. It's literally laughable. It's hard. It's hard to hold back the chuckle, right? I mean,
00:40:17.880 think about it. Just picture that in your mind for a second. Beth Moore preaching Sinners in
00:40:22.280 the hands of an angry god she can't it's not just she won't because she's compromised and that sermon
00:40:29.300 actually is biblically faithful and addresses the holiness of god and the sin of man it's not just
00:40:32.920 that she's won't that she's unwilling she's unable she could not deliver that sermon not the way that
00:40:39.300 god intends a sermon like that to be delivered because she's not a man she's not a man so all
00:40:47.180 that being said, one of the things that we immensely need in our nation today, in our culture
00:40:52.720 today, and it's got to start with the church today, is we need biblical preaching, biblical
00:40:59.040 instruction, biblical doctrine on biblical masculinity, on patriarchy, biblical patriarchy.
00:41:07.140 And we need good biblical teaching on biblical womanhood as well. And we need to raise the bar
00:41:14.480 for the preaching, the right preaching of God's word
00:41:17.580 and the right administering of the sacraments
00:41:19.820 to where we can easily see,
00:41:21.800 to where children among us could see,
00:41:23.600 oh, of course a man should be doing that.
00:41:25.840 It's a manly thing to preach the word of God.
00:41:28.560 It's a manly thing to administer the sacraments
00:41:31.160 on the Lord's day of the Lord's supper and baptism.
00:41:34.340 Of course, these things belong rightly
00:41:36.120 to biblically qualified men.
00:41:38.320 We need to raise the bar with the ordinary means of grace
00:41:41.980 and what the church actually is
00:41:43.760 and what it does when it gathers on the Lord's day
00:41:45.820 and we need to raise the bar for who a man is
00:41:48.860 and what biblical masculinity is
00:41:50.660 and raise the bar for what a woman is
00:41:53.380 and what biblical femininity is.
00:41:56.140 All these things, we need a proper understanding
00:41:58.380 and one of the things that's inescapable
00:42:00.340 if we are to actually embark on this valiant endeavor
00:42:04.740 is that we're going to actually have to correct women
00:42:08.480 in their sin.
00:42:10.080 We have to correct men too.
00:42:11.980 but for a while, we've only been correcting men.
00:42:15.140 We've been correcting men for their sin,
00:42:16.900 and sadly, we've been correcting men for,
00:42:19.280 in many cases, their righteousness.
00:42:21.540 A man actually, in many cases, will do something right,
00:42:24.380 and he'll be rebuked by the church.
00:42:26.220 And a woman will do something wrong
00:42:28.320 and be encouraged by the church.
00:42:30.240 So men are being actually rebuked for right actions,
00:42:33.200 and women are being encouraged
00:42:35.560 and consoled for wrong actions.
00:42:39.580 And then we look at divorce.
00:42:41.980 as just one fruit. There are many. This is just simply one fruit of this kind of ministry,
00:42:48.600 if you would call it that. And one of the fruits is that divorce continues to increase and it
00:42:56.020 continues to increase statistically that the woman is the one who initiates divorce.
00:43:03.480 Food for thought. All that being said, all I really spoke about was the home of the church.
00:43:07.800 if we were to get into the civil realm for a moment um i mean the state caesar civil magistrate
00:43:16.900 is described in the scripture at at certain moments certain times in in vivid descriptive
00:43:23.260 language as being like a bear having sharp claws right the civil magistrate has been given a sword
00:43:30.060 women should not bear the sword they should not bear the sword the civil magistrate is a bear
00:43:37.320 you know what you want to do with a bear if you have any say over the bear and and its actions
00:43:44.800 a bear is a great thing to sick on your enemies sick and bears right a bear is a great thing to
00:43:51.900 to to sick on your enemies right right when you're under attack when you need a defense if you've got
00:43:56.800 bears at your disposal all right release the bears what you don't do with bears is uh let them care
00:44:04.460 for your children at home. You don't want bears nurturing children and nursing infants. You want
00:44:12.560 bears mauling bad guys, right? So, okay, well, the state is like bears. Well, women are nurturing.
00:44:23.520 Women are nurturing. So what happens when you put a nurturing woman in a bear-like position
00:44:30.460 of society. Like Kentonji Brown Jackson would be a great example. Supreme Court judge. What's her
00:44:38.480 perspective? How does she look at justice? How does she fulfill that role? She is, despite whether
00:44:45.900 she wants to be or not, right? You cannot help but be what God has designed you to be. She naturally
00:44:52.260 is going to live with at least some measure of consistency within God's created order. She is a
00:44:57.560 woman. She may not be able to tell you what a woman is, but she is one. And here she is as a
00:45:02.280 woman sitting on the highest court in the land. And what's her record, right? What's her tendency
00:45:08.840 when it comes to perpetrators, when it comes to villains, when it comes to particularly child,
00:45:16.400 people with child pornography, child molesters? How does she respond? How does she react? She
00:45:22.600 thinks, man, that poor guy. I just, I just want to show him mercy. I just, if only he had a better
00:45:31.680 mom. If only I could be your mom, right? When Putin was invading Ukraine, you had women writing
00:45:38.960 poems, if only I were your mom, right? Because they're women. They're women. That's how they
00:45:45.440 respond, right? So Putin is invading the country and they're thinking, gosh, I feel like that guy
00:45:50.240 just needed a good mom. Or some guy has a bunch of child porno on his computer and Ketaji Brown
00:45:57.580 Jackson is thinking, what's the lowest penalty that we can give him? How much compassion can we
00:46:03.000 provide? That's the kind of characteristics that you want caring for a toddler in your living room.
00:46:12.440 That's not the kind of characteristics that you want to deal with criminals. With criminals,
00:46:18.820 you don't want mercy and compassion
00:46:21.580 because that's not the realm of the church,
00:46:24.340 which is word and sacrament, ministry of mercy.
00:46:27.340 No, that's the realm of the state,
00:46:29.040 which is a realm of justice, punitive justice,
00:46:32.800 which is something that you know
00:46:34.340 who's geared for that kind of ministry,
00:46:37.340 a ministry of justice and bearing the sword?
00:46:39.900 Men, men.
00:46:42.060 Did you know we wouldn't have one Democrat president
00:46:44.340 in the last 50 years if women couldn't vote?
00:46:46.280 i've said it before i'm saying it again this is the episode i'd be remiss if i didn't include it
00:46:51.900 dealing with the sin of women so i'm throwing it in there i'll say it again
00:46:55.440 not one democrat president in the last 50 years if women couldn't vote
00:47:00.700 ironically women's suffrage has caused more suffering for women than just about anything
00:47:10.240 else. And for the record, women's suffrage, a lot of the underlying intention for it was to split
00:47:17.540 the household vote, to turn women against their husbands, to try to create an independency from
00:47:27.340 their husbands, splitting marriages, splitting the household vote, turning women against their
00:47:34.540 husbands. This is what feminism has done for decades and decades and decades. It has become
00:47:40.180 more blatant, more obvious, more apparent, the sinful nature of this whole feminism thing.
00:47:47.580 But the seeds were there from the very beginning. That's not just third wave feminism that's sinful.
00:47:54.480 No, the sinful seeds of feminism were there in the first wave, more subtle. They were there in
00:48:01.440 the second wave certainly there in the third wave and now the fourth wave and this is what happens
00:48:07.060 when you rebel against god and his designated created order the fourth wave of feminism if we
00:48:13.020 were to define it as anything is um is that you go from um a woman can do some things that a man
00:48:20.380 can do a woman can do a lot of things that a man can do a woman is can do all the things that a man
00:48:24.820 can do and then it's um there's no such thing as a woman a woman is a man and a man is a woman here
00:48:31.220 we are with fourth wave feminism and and what's the fruit of that um the fruit of that is a bunch
00:48:37.140 of hulking dudes stealing uh medals from from teenage girls at track meets and men dressed up
00:48:45.600 as women winning a woman of the year award and and some uh man who is literally just mocking
00:48:52.880 women on tiktok being invited to the white house to talk to the president of the united states
00:48:58.860 that's the ultimate fruit of feminism now feminists will of course object at this though
00:49:05.340 no no no no that's not what we wanted no it's not what you wanted but it's what you get
00:49:09.380 it's what you get it's what rebellion against god gets it's what rebellion against
00:49:14.260 god's designated order gets here's the deal god is a father he identifies as a father he reveals
00:49:21.880 himself as a father. Not a father and a mother, but a father. And we live in the father's world.
00:49:29.620 And to live in the father's world in a way that is conducive to human flourishing and blessing
00:49:34.560 and prosperity is to live in accordance with the father's rules. We have a father above all.
00:49:41.540 He has built a house. We live in the father's house. The father has rules for his house and
00:49:48.620 the father blesses, the blessings of the father roll down in effect all, all of those who inhabit
00:49:56.220 his house through other fathers. We have fathers in the state. We have fathers in the church,
00:50:03.380 namely elders, right? Civil fathers, spiritual, ecclesiastical fathers, and familial fathers in
00:50:10.980 the home. And it is through human fathers at each of these three sovereign spheres, the home, the
00:50:16.740 church and the state whether it be the the husband is the head of the wife and the father is the head
00:50:22.200 of the children or elders as as the as the leaders in christ church or whether it be um whether it
00:50:29.580 be governors and mayors and presidents as the civil fathers in the sphere of the state at every level
00:50:35.920 you have the father who's above it all the father heavenly father who created his fatherly world
00:50:42.320 and instituted the Father's rules
00:50:45.180 and works through and blesses through human fathers.
00:50:50.860 That's the way the world works.
00:50:53.440 You can resent it, you can hate it,
00:50:55.840 but that's the world, right?
00:50:58.460 That's like, you know,
00:51:00.300 it's again, back to the analogy of a bird and a fish.
00:51:02.800 It's like, well, this is the world that you're living in, right?
00:51:06.480 You may want little fishy to fly in the sky.
00:51:09.820 you see birds swimming over or flying over your pond.
00:51:13.100 You know, you're looking up through the surface
00:51:15.040 and you see a bird flying through the pond.
00:51:16.540 You think, I want freedom.
00:51:17.900 And so one day you swim around in circles
00:51:20.000 and pick up, you know, as much speed as you possibly can.
00:51:22.940 And then with all your might,
00:51:24.340 you jump and break the surface of the water
00:51:26.400 and start to fly for approximately 2.5 seconds
00:51:29.860 and land on the shore, flop around for a while and die.
00:51:35.200 You really wanted to be free,
00:51:37.180 really wanted to be liberated from that,
00:51:38.820 the shackles of that pond that water that was holding you back what was it holding you back
00:51:44.220 or was that just the conducive proper context designed by god in which you would thrive
00:51:49.900 because of the way that you've been made because you are not autonomously free and you don't you
00:51:55.480 don't get to be whatever you want to be the the myth of free will right there are certain things
00:52:01.900 you just can't you're you're a creature no creature has autonomous free will i cannot will
00:52:06.900 myself to be nine feet tall. I cannot will myself to fly. There are plenty of things that are
00:52:12.060 outside the bounds of my realm of choices because I'm a creature. I'm a creature. And that works at
00:52:19.840 every realm, at every level. I am not just a creature, I'm a human being creature. And not
00:52:26.940 just a human being creature, but I am a human male creature. And all these things say something
00:52:32.420 about who i am the way i've designed been designed by god to be and and which things i can choose
00:52:39.120 that will prosper and which other things that are outside my bounds outside my design that i might
00:52:45.080 try to choose but ultimately will end in disaster women are not inherently more sinful than men
00:52:52.120 but at this current juncture because the culture and sadly even the american evangelical church
00:52:59.060 has refused to correct women for their sin
00:53:02.020 and has often wrongly corrected men
00:53:04.740 for things that they have done that have not been sin,
00:53:08.060 here we are, here we are.
00:53:11.060 And if we wanna get the world back
00:53:12.820 to the way that God designed it,
00:53:14.660 part of this conversation of Christian nationalism,
00:53:17.500 make America Christian again,
00:53:19.260 MACA, these kinds of things,
00:53:21.100 part of it is going to have to include,
00:53:23.020 and I would say a large part of it
00:53:24.380 is gonna have to include some serious teaching
00:53:26.640 on biblical masculinity and biblical womanhood.
00:53:30.800 We're going to have to understand that in every realm,
00:53:32.860 what it means in the home, what it means in the church,
00:53:34.900 what it means in the state.
00:53:36.320 We're going to have to understand these things.
00:53:39.160 And there's going to have to be the church repenting,
00:53:42.020 pastors repenting for their cowardice, right?
00:53:45.040 Male pastors being afraid of women.
00:53:47.000 That's what it comes down to.
00:53:47.860 That really is what it is.
00:53:49.580 You got a bunch of male pastors.
00:53:51.100 The reason we got where we are
00:53:52.320 is because you got a bunch of male pastors
00:53:54.180 with their tails between their legs,
00:53:55.900 cowardly and shivering like little chihuahua dogs in an old lady's lap, just quivering there on
00:54:02.280 Sunday morning when they're in the pulpit, afraid, afraid to correct half of the membership of their
00:54:08.440 church. I mean, think about that for a second. Do you think that a church is going to be healthy
00:54:12.980 and thrive if a pastor is fiercely committed to never correcting half of the members?
00:54:18.780 i'll let you guess which half it is it's the women we know it we see it and the beauty is
00:54:28.260 that by god's grace uh there's a remnant rising there are godly women my wife is a godly woman
00:54:36.760 there are dozens of godly women in my church and many of you i mean even just statistically i think
00:54:43.120 it's like 75% of the people who listen to this show who subscribe to our channel on YouTube are
00:54:49.460 men. But honestly, I'm a little bit encouraged that at least 25% of them are women. Because if
00:54:55.640 25% of the people who listen to this show are women, and they're listening to a show that
00:55:00.300 includes episodes like this one, and they're actually able to make it to the end of the
00:55:05.320 episode, and they don't write me, you know, a death threat in an email, you know, within the
00:55:09.220 next 30 minutes that's encouraging that's hopeful like it's not just that i have my wife and i have
00:55:15.520 my sister and i have my mom and then i have other women in our church but but there are thousands of
00:55:20.420 women some of you that i've never even met who are listening to this and it's not just a bunch
00:55:24.400 of men saying yeah get them joel i know right now there are women listening to my voice watching
00:55:28.500 this video who fear god who fear god and are resonating with what i say and you're saying
00:55:34.040 preach it, pastor. And I pray that God would endow my pastor here in my home church with
00:55:39.600 courage to preach it too. Bless you, woman of God. Bless you for that heart attitude, for that
00:55:45.680 heart posture, that response. Bless you. I know you're out there and I think there are more and
00:55:50.680 more every day. So that's how we got where we are. It gives you kind of a little bit of the steps of
00:55:56.880 things that we need to do to improve. But I wanted to end it on that hopeful note and saying that
00:56:01.320 I think already things are better than they were three years ago. I really do. I think three years
00:56:06.360 ago, I would have gotten way, I'll get pushback. Trust me, don't worry. The Lord keeps me humble
00:56:11.800 with the YouTube comments. So I'll get plenty of pushback. But I think that if I had done a video
00:56:16.520 like this three years ago, it would have gotten 10 times the pushback, 10 times the trolls that
00:56:23.180 this will get because reformation is underway and God is gracious and merciful and changing hearts.
00:56:32.700 Oh, hi. I didn't see you there. Thanks for sticking around. I've got an important announcement
00:56:36.820 to make. That's the Theonomy and Postmillennialism Conference, 2023, May 5th, 6th, and 7th of Friday,

00:57:00.260 Christianity. Perhaps you've heard of him. If not, you should start listening to his podcast.
00:57:04.420 It's fantastic. Dale Partridge is going to be joining our team. We're going to have live panels
