00:00:23.480 five-star review on your favorite podcast platform. Thanks.

00:00:30.000 Jesus said, man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

00:00:35.520 You're listening to Daily Truth.

00:00:39.640 The question that I would ask is this.

00:00:43.560 That when Christ finally returns, at his physical final return, in the new heavens and the new earth, does anyone die?

00:00:53.540 there are those the reprobate in hell who shall experience the final death the eternal death

00:01:02.040 cast into the lake of fire who die forever but will anyone physically die once christ has

00:01:09.680 physically returned once the new heavens and the new earth are fully established in the age to come

00:01:16.900 do people still die? The answer from scripture is an emphatic no, a resounding no. So Isaiah

00:01:25.060 chapter 65 cannot be speaking of what life will be like after Christ returns. It says no longer

00:01:33.780 will a child die in infancy. That would include abortion, infancy in the womb. And yet it also

00:01:41.280 says that the youth shall die at 100 which means what you're living in a time in real human history

00:01:49.020 before the final physical return of christ where people still die albeit later and that's meant to

00:01:56.320 be one example and testimony of the progression of christ's kingdom that now instead of people

00:02:02.320 saying he died at 50 he was so young that people should say he died at 100 he was just a youth

00:02:09.240 the youth shall die at a hundred you might say that'll never happen things have only gotten

00:02:16.560 worse for 2 000 years brothers and sisters let's just at this point it's not even theological it's

00:02:21.260 simply just logical it was not that long ago that if someone lived to be 50 years old we said he's

00:02:28.100 ancient i can't believe he made it to 50 if someone died at 40 we said what a full life

00:02:36.040 and i'm not talking about a thousand years ago this was normative in every culture in every

00:02:43.760 place in every time until very very recently very recently and so we can already say that

00:02:53.600 there is a sense in which death is being pushed back even now it is the last of christ's enemies

00:03:00.160 to be truly and fully defeated.

00:03:03.080 But even now, through the advance of the gospel,

00:03:06.120 there are real, tangible, earthly implications.

00:03:10.040 And you might say,

00:03:10.660 what do life spans, human lifespans,

00:03:13.260 have to do with the gospel?

00:03:14.640 Everything.

00:03:16.900 It is because of the Christian worldview

00:03:19.160 and the gospel of Jesus Christ

00:03:22.040 that medicine has advanced.

00:03:25.000 Are there corruptions?

00:03:26.480 Yes.

00:03:27.580 Satan always seeks to take that which is good 0.99

00:03:30.140 and twist it and pervert it is all medicine moral no i would never make such a naive and foolish 0.87

00:03:38.840 claim but don't forget when that ambulance drives by and you see a serpent wrapped around a staff 0.61

00:03:47.020 on the side that is a reference to christian faith that's not islam that's not secularism

00:03:54.360 that's not atheism that's Christ that Moses was to fashion a bronze serpent when the people of

00:04:02.000 Israel because of their rebellion were getting bit by poisonous vipers and dying and growing

00:04:06.980 ill in the wilderness Moses was instructed and commanded by God to fashion a bronze serpent

00:04:12.520 and to secure it on a staff and to raise it up hoist it up so that anyone in Israel who had

00:04:18.880 been bitten by the poisonous vipers in their midst if they were to look they didn't have to

00:04:23.720 crawl to it they didn't have to touch it they didn't have to kiss it they only had to see it

00:04:30.680 to look and if they saw this bronze serpent held up by Moses in the wilderness they would be made

00:04:38.660 whole and so too this became a symbol of health and medicine in the west Christian roots Christian

00:04:49.900 roots and this was ultimately not just a further medicine in a practical physical sense but it was

00:04:57.740 ultimately meant to be a symbol a type and shadow of Jesus Christ himself that one eventually would

00:05:05.740 be held up on a wooden staff a tree and that all who would look to him not work for him not crawl

00:05:17.040 to him not run to him not touch him but if they only would look with the eyes of faith and see him

00:05:25.180 that they would be healed of all their infirmities not mere infirmities of this life in the physical

00:05:33.500 sense but that they would be healed of that wretched eternal infirmity of sin and that they

00:05:41.180 would be spared the wrath of God if they would see him Jesus says this even of himself that I

00:05:50.360 will be lifted up and draw many to myself and so the implications of the gospel have gone forth

00:05:59.960 in the spiritual eternal salvific sense yes and amen but always with the advancement of that which

00:06:07.440 is spiritual if it is in fact true there are tangible implications in that which is physical
