00:01:48.360 maturity apart from doctrine false so if someone truly is spiritually mature in terms of character

00:01:58.380 they will at least in some degree have a measure of competency because you don't grow in character

00:02:05.760 in sanctification apart from knowing god's word and we've got it we have to dismiss

00:02:14.380 this, that myth that reigns so prevalent in the evangelical church today that, you know,

00:02:20.780 well, you're theological, you're really good at loving God with your mind, and I'm really good

00:02:24.700 at loving him with my heart. What does that mean? That's a Gnostic, heretical divorcing

00:02:30.160 of the mind and the heart. That's not Christian. It's not Christian. It's not biblical. 1.00

00:02:37.900 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and soul. That's not like, hey, there's four

00:02:42.500 different, you know, paths to choose. You know, some will love them with their strength. Like,

00:02:46.800 what does that even look like? Like, you don't know God with your mind and you don't love him

00:02:49.820 with your affections, but you're just pushing, you know, lifting weights for the Jesus, like

00:02:53.920 strength apart. It's a collective deal. It's a package deal. You're loving God, not with

00:03:01.280 you choose which one of these soul or heart or strength or mind. No, you're loving God with

00:03:06.320 all of your being all of your being so there is no love for god in these other realms if you will

00:03:13.160 apart from the realm of the mind and so if we are to come into spiritual maturity in terms of

00:03:19.320 character it is because we are coming to love god more with our minds and if we are loving god more

00:03:25.000 with our minds understanding the truth and the depth of his word then we are by default consequently
