In this episode, Pastor Joel and I discuss the need for a new covenant between the Christian and God, and why it is not the new covenant, but rather the renewal of the old covenant between God and His people.

00:00:00.000 All right, listen, guys, I get it.
00:00:01.900 Many of you are unable to financially support this ministry because you're spending your
00:00:05.900 cash and your lives on raising young children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
00:00:10.740 Praise God for you and that endeavor.
00:00:13.860 However, algorithms are a thing.
00:00:16.380 Shadow banning, sadly, is a thing.
00:00:19.000 And one major way that you can help to expand the reach and effectiveness of this ministry
00:00:24.160 that doesn't cost you a dime is by spending just a few moments leaving us a five-star review.
00:00:31.320 Also, perhaps even more effective than that, you can share our podcast with a friend.
00:00:36.560 We hope you'll take the time to do so.
00:00:38.480 Thank you so much.
00:00:39.760 God bless.
00:00:42.340 Jesus said, man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the
00:00:47.040 mouth of God.
00:00:47.980 You're listening to Daily Truth.
00:00:49.940 lastly i said i would land the plane back on this idea of covenant not the new covenant
00:00:58.700 which is established through christ for individual people in terms of eternal salvation and
00:01:05.140 justification by grace alone through faith alone in christ alone not the new covenant
00:01:10.040 and also not the old covenant and speaking of the covenant of works established with adam
00:01:15.720 and yet i still believe that outside of the covenant of works and outside of the covenant
00:01:22.440 of grace there are still other covenants that we have today marriage i cited simply as one example
00:01:29.200 and for the christian any covenant that we're a part of must be a christian covenant
00:01:34.680 so back on that point landing the plane not only on that point but the sermon as a whole
00:01:42.120 I've written this. The circumcision of Israel and their following observance of the Passover
00:01:48.240 signify the renewal of the covenant between Israel and God. In a similar fashion, my prayer
00:01:55.220 is that in my lifetime, I might be granted the privilege of witnessing a renewal of the covenant
00:02:03.200 between America and God. This would not be the new covenant, which God reserves only for
00:02:10.480 individuals by regeneration. Neither would this be the old covenant, which God uniquely established
00:02:16.820 with Israel according to the flesh under the Old Testament. And yet, to insist that nations today 0.71
00:02:24.640 cannot establish any covenant with a triune God is a foolish notion. Not only is it possible,
00:02:33.020 but i believe in the case of america it has already been done therefore the goal of every
00:02:40.560 christian in america should not be mac make america christian but maca make america christian
00:02:49.440 again whoa whoa whoa you're gonna want to hear this our next two conferences are coming up quick
00:02:56.080 we've got first our fall conference this is november 11th and 12th that's a full day saturday
00:03:02.540 and a holdover for the Lord's Day, November 12th.
00:03:06.400 Who's speaking at this conference?
00:03:08.200 Well, we've got Jared Longshore and Chris Wiley
00:03:11.420 and yours truly, Pastor Joel Webb.
00:03:13.800 And what's the title?
00:03:15.000 The title is The Household and the War for the Cosmos.
00:03:18.640 Now, I know you're thinking, wait a second,
00:03:20.220 you can't use that title, Joel.
00:03:21.800 That's the title for Chris Wiley's book.
00:03:24.020 Well, I can use it because he's gonna be there speaking
00:03:26.660 and he gave me his permission.
00:03:28.380 We're gonna be talking about the household
00:03:30.640 as the basic building block for pushing back the kingdom of darkness in this world.
00:03:36.420 We're going to be talking about biblical patriarchy.
00:03:38.820 We're going to be talking about marriage and parenting, how to keep your kids,
00:03:42.920 how to shape and form them like straight arrows, like sharp arrows that do damage to the kingdom
00:03:49.160 of darkness, training our children in the fear and ammunition of the Lord.
00:03:53.440 A full day on Saturday, November 11th, and then holding Jared Longshore over for the
00:03:58.740 Lord's Day, November 12th, to preach at my church, Covenant Bible Church in Central Texas. You can
00:04:05.360 register at the early bird rate, which will not last long, but you can register at the early bird
00:04:11.000 rate today by going to rightresponseconference.com. Again, that's rightresponseconference.com. Now,
00:04:18.700 our second conference is our spring conference. This is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 1st,
00:04:25.460 second, and third. The title for this conference, Blueprints for Chrysidom 2.0. Blueprints for
00:04:32.840 Chrysidom 2.0. We don't want to revert back to Chrysidom 1.0, although it would certainly be
00:04:39.320 a whole lot better than the clown world that we're currently living in, but we recognize despite the
00:04:45.360 phenomenal features of a prior Chrysidom, there were certain bugs that we'd like to see worked
00:04:51.120 out. So we're not going back. We are pushing forward to Christendom 2.0. We believe that
00:04:57.180 the blueprints are seven doctrines for ruling the world righteously. What are these seven
00:05:03.520 doctrines? Well, it's reformed confessionalism. It's covenant theology. It's biblical patriarchy.
00:05:10.160 It's presuppositionalism and Kuyperianism and general equity theonomy and hopeful eschatology
00:05:18.160 post-millennialism. Who's going to be teaching us on these doctrines? Voldemort, He Who Must Not
00:05:24.640 Be Named, Pastor Douglas Wilson himself. You also got Mr. Breitharth, Mr. Kingshall, Mr. Haunted
00:05:31.540 Cosmos, Pastor Brian Sauve. And we also have Dr. Joseph Boot, and of course, yours truly, Pastor
00:05:39.780 Joel Webin. We'll be doing seven primary lectures, as well as two 90-minute panels with all the
00:05:46.520 speakers together, and we'll likely add a couple more speakers along the way. Again, that's March
00:05:52.980 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It's Blueprints for Chrysidom 2.0. We've got the
00:06:01.820 early bird rate going right now, but it will run out quickly. So go to rightresponseconference.com,
00:06:09.020 rightresponseconference.com to register today.
