00:00:00.000 Jesus said, man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
00:00:07.240 You're listening to Daily Truth.
00:00:11.380 This is important for us to understand, to have a biblical theology of hell.
00:00:15.460 Hell is not hell because God's not there.
00:00:18.280 Hell is hell because God is there, but he is there in his wrath, in his justice, in his judgment of the sinner.
00:00:28.360 David even says in the Psalms,
00:00:30.320 where can I go from your presence?
00:00:32.440 That if I'm cast into the depths of the sea,
00:00:35.260 you are there, which Jonah lived out.
00:00:38.660 Jonah cries out from the belly of the whale,
00:00:41.620 the fish, the great fish, and God hears his cry.
00:00:44.780 So whether you're in the belly of the sea
00:00:46.240 or whether you're on the top of a mountain 0.83
00:00:47.800 or whether you're in the depths of Sheol,
00:00:50.440 David says, there's no place that you can go
00:00:53.200 where God's presence is not.
00:00:55.220 Now, even from just a logical standpoint,
00:00:57.020 we know that this is true because God is infinite. God is God. He is the creator who is blessed
00:01:03.040 forever. Amen. That is, he is not a finite creature, but rather the infinite creator.
00:01:08.460 And one of the aspects, the characteristics of being infinite is not just omniscience,
00:01:14.180 that he has infinite knowledge, knows all things, not just omnipotence, that he has infinite
00:01:20.020 strength and ability, but also omnipresence. Omnipresence. There is no place where God is not.
00:01:28.740 So what makes hell hell is not that God is in heaven and so it's good and God is not in hell
00:01:33.640 and so it's bad. No, what makes hell hell is that God is present, but he is present in his just
00:01:40.700 judgment for sinners eternally. So the ultimate and final consequence of sin is hell, eternal hell
00:01:50.520 underneath the just wrath of God. That said, that's the ultimate punishment, the ultimate
00:01:56.180 consequence of sin. All right, hold up. You're not going to want to miss this. I'm going to tell you
00:02:00.200 exactly how our spring 2024 conference is going to go down. Here's the title of the conference,
00:02:05.420 blueprints for Christendom 2.0. Subtitle, Seven Doctrines for Ruling the World. We're going to
00:02:12.280 have seven primary sessions covering each of these doctrines for ruling the world righteously. Number
00:02:19.060 one, Reformed Confessionalism. That's going to be Pastor Doug Wilson preaching on that topic.
00:02:24.680 Then we've got Covenant Theology with Pastor Brian Sauve. Then we've got Biblical Patriarchy
00:02:30.300 with pastor Michael Foster. Then we've got presuppositionalism with Dr. Joseph Boot.
00:02:35.960 Then we've got Kuyperianism, all of Christ for all of life, where we're going to welcome pastor
00:02:41.380 Doug Wilson back for a second session. Then we've got general equity theonomy. We're going to have
00:02:47.040 Dr. Joseph Boot come and do a second session on that topic. And then lastly, we'll have pastor
00:02:52.220 Dale Partridge on post-millennial eschatology. In addition to these seven sessions, we're also
00:02:58.080 going to have not one, but two live podcasts on the first day of the conference. That's Friday,
00:03:04.360 March 1st. We're going to have a live theology applied podcast. I'll be on the stage hosting
00:03:09.640 the discussion with Douglas Wilson, Michael Foster, and Eric Kahn from It's Good to Be a Man.
00:03:15.360 The topic is going to be all about biblical patriarchy. We're going to specifically be
00:03:20.420 parsing out, distinguishing the biblical doctrinal differences between patriarchy
00:03:25.720 and complementarianism again that's friday march 1st the first day of the conference a live theology
00:03:31.980 applied podcast on biblical patriarchy then we're going to have the next day that's saturday march
00:03:38.140 2nd a live haunted cosmos podcast i'll be hosting this discussion with brian sauve and ben garrett
00:03:45.560 we're going to be talking about the nephilim we're going to be talking about the watchers we're going
00:03:49.120 to be talking about what creatures currently are living underneath the surface of the earth and
00:03:53.900 chasms of the deep. It's going to be wacky. It's going to be weird, but it will also be thoroughly
00:03:58.580 biblical and incredibly unhinged. So you're not going to want to miss these two live podcasts,
00:04:04.300 Theology Applied on Friday, March 1st, the first day of the conference on biblical patriarchy with
00:04:10.580 Doug Wilson, Michael Foster, Eric Kahn, and myself. And then the next day of the conference,
00:04:15.220 Saturday, March 2nd, a live Haunted Cosmos podcast with Brian Sauve and Ben Garrett and myself on
00:04:22.480 the Nephilim, the Watchers, and what lies under the surface of the earth. And then the conference
00:04:27.580 will hold over for one final, the third and final day. That's going to be the Lord's Day, Sunday,
00:04:33.440 March 3rd, where one of our speakers will be holding over to preach the Lord's Day sermon,
00:04:38.000 and I'll be leading us in worship through the liturgy. So we've got three days, a Friday,
