The NXR Podcast - DAILY TRUTH - The Lord Must Be On Our Side

Joshua 8:8 is a powerful reminder that God is with us every step of the way in order to guide us through the trials and tribulations we face in life and in God's kingdom. God is determined, insisting that Israel will only attain success and victory by his providence, by his power, and by his supernatural strength.

00:00:23.480 five-star review on your favorite podcast platform thanks the city of 12 000 is still going to require

00:00:30.880 all the fighting men of israel which is over 30 000 to defeat why why does it take over 30 000 men

00:00:40.340 to defeat a city with only 12 000 population including women and children total there are

00:00:46.440 giants in the sky big tall terrible giants in the sky they're giants that's why

00:00:52.540 what we see is god supernaturally joshua holds out god commands him to do this holds out his

00:01:00.280 javelin and he keeps his arm outstretched until there's a total taking of the city the city is

00:01:06.580 in flames goes up in smoke and everyone is wiped out 0.76

00:01:10.720 meaning this israel was dependent on the supernatural strength and power of god to

00:01:18.140 defeat superior opponents, Jericho, and seemingly inferior opponents, Ai. God will not share his

00:01:28.040 glory with another. God is determined, insisting that Israel will only attain success and victory 1.00

00:01:35.820 by his providence, by his power, by his supernatural strength. And he's saying that these enemies,

00:01:43.720 whether they be many or few, you're not just fighting against mere flesh and blood. There's a

00:01:50.120 bigger story going on. And you're going to need me every step of the way. So the big ideas of Joshua

00:01:57.600 8 is one, whether we fight big enemies or small enemies, follow the script. Do what God says.

00:02:05.360 Don't think, hey, we needed God for Jericho. We don't need him for AI. Let's just take 3,000 men

00:02:10.500 and get it done. Uh-uh. No, they need God to give them the strategy. Hold out a javelin. What's that 0.99

00:02:17.980 got to do with anything? It's supernatural. You won't do it without my supernatural help.

00:02:23.680 We stick to the script. If anything, Joshua chapter 8, we could say it like this. It condemns

00:02:29.000 human pragmatism. That it's not just pragmatism. It's not just, hey, you know what? God made the

00:02:36.260 Jericho this border city fall there's Roe and now we can you know we can use pragmatic human 1.00

00:02:42.500 strategies little by little to do this and do that nah same thing you needed for Jericho you

00:02:48.180 need that to finish AI not pragmatism but the supernatural power of God the whole way and

00:02:54.740 what's our job what's our responsibility in ensuring that God is with us in his strength

00:02:59.920 and power, doing what he says, following the script, not just coming up with our own pragmatic

00:03:06.340 human strategies. If God says, stick out a javelin and hold it until the war is over, you do it.
