00:00:04.300 to 50,000 downloads. What made the difference? You leaving us a five-star review. The more
00:00:10.260 positive reviews, the more the algorithm picks us up, and more people are confronted by the law
00:00:16.360 and gospel of Jesus Christ. Help us press forward the crown rights of King Jesus by leaving us a

00:00:30.000 Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
00:00:35.600 You're listening to Daily Truth.
00:00:39.620 We have a general promise that Christ will build His church,
00:00:45.820 that is, grow, expand, increase His church, not merely sustain it.
00:00:52.060 Christ is not merely sustaining His bride as a man would sustain his family,
00:00:57.760 but if a man is building his family we would assume that he is adding to its ranks not just
00:01:04.640 sustaining it but that he is building his house to build is to expand and increase and the promise
00:01:11.880 in Matthew 16 that Christ gives is that because he is the head of the church and the church is his
00:01:17.940 body his body here on earth his hands and feet Christ will not only protect and defend and
00:01:25.440 sustain his body on earth his church but actually expand and increase and build it of the of the
00:01:33.360 increase of his government there will be no end not just the the once cataclysmically suddenly
00:01:42.900 establishment of a universal government not not that there is no government and then one day
00:01:49.740 boom here it is and it's all done increase implies progressive gradual not cataclysmic
00:01:59.340 but rather progressive and gradual through a process over time and so we have general promises
00:02:06.500 from the lord not only that he will sustain his church but that he will progressively expand and
00:02:13.240 build his church and i know that you've heard me say this many times but by god's grace there are
00:02:18.340 new people who come to our church every week who may not be aware of this. But Matthew 16 says
00:02:24.780 that as Christ promises to build the church, the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
00:02:30.980 Now notice the gates of hell are defensive, not offensive. This is not weaponry, but rather the
00:02:40.200 gates of hell signify the defense of hell. So what is the offensive weapon in this particular
00:02:47.620 The equation given to us by Christ Jesus Himself.
00:02:51.720 The weapon is not hell.
00:02:53.980 The weapon is the church.
00:02:56.120 That the church would increase and be built
00:02:58.560 and that the defensive measures of hell
00:03:01.880 will not ultimately be able to withstand
00:03:04.960 the battering ram of the church.
