00:00:00.000 Hey guys, real quick before we get started, I have a small request.
00:00:03.360 If you've been blessed by our content and you like this show,
00:00:06.440 would you take just a brief moment and leave us a five-star review?
00:00:09.760 This is quite possibly the most effective thing that you can do
00:00:12.880 to ensure that this content gets out to as many people as possible.
00:00:17.540 Thanks.
00:00:19.700 Jesus said,
00:00:20.820 Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
00:00:25.460 You're listening to Daily Truth.
00:00:30.000 See, the fruit of the knowledge of the tree of good and evil, what it did was it didn't cause
00:00:35.800 them all of a sudden to be wise in a way that they weren't before. It actually, it's not the
00:00:39.960 tree of wisdom. It's the tree of folly. They became foolish. And what happened is they already
00:00:45.860 knew good and evil, but they knew good and evil as it related to God. They now replaced God with
00:00:51.600 their own character. And now they began to judge what was good and evil by comparing it to themselves.
00:00:57.800 And that's the curse.
00:00:58.940 And that's what we've seen for thousands of years,
00:01:01.860 ever since Adam and Eve in our fallen world,
00:01:05.300 culture itself, man itself,
00:01:07.620 exalts himself as the one who knows the standard
00:01:10.400 for what's good and evil.
00:01:12.040 So why does morality keep shifting?
00:01:14.600 Why do so many people legitimately believe
00:01:16.820 that morality is something that evolves?
00:01:19.900 Because it's based on man.
00:01:22.820 And man evolves.
00:01:24.280 Because man changes.
00:01:25.500 Here's the wonderful thing about God.
00:01:26.900 The wonderful thing about Tiggers, the wonderful thing about God is that God is immutable.
00:01:31.620 His character never changes.
00:01:33.480 And so when morality is based on God and his unchanging character, morality never changes.
00:01:40.060 So the whole phrase, the whole, it's 2019.
00:01:44.500 So what?
00:01:45.620 What does that mean?
00:01:46.720 It's 2019.
00:01:48.800 Like last time I checked, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
00:01:53.240 And God is the standard.
00:01:54.740 He doesn't just hold a perfect standard.
00:01:56.520 he is the standard and he never changes so i don't care what year it is i don't care what state it is
00:02:02.860 i don't care what is right is right and what is wrong is wrong but that's what happened it's not 0.55
00:02:10.760 that eve and adam all of a sudden they now we're we're smart we used to be dumb because we ate that 0.86
00:02:16.060 no no now all of a sudden we know good and evil but foolishly not not wisely but foolishly because
00:02:22.360 we now compare to ourselves, rather than taking all things and comparing them to the character
00:02:26.580 of God. They now view themselves as a suitable substitute for the standard of morality, rather
00:02:33.260 than trusting God himself. Thanks so much for listening. But real quick, before you go, do us
00:02:39.260 a small favor, take a moment, and leave us a five-star review if you enjoyed the show. This is
00:02:44.740 undoubtedly the best way that you can help us get this biblically faithful content to as many people
00:02:50.700 as possible. Thanks so much.
