00:02:10.100 and find them saying well there's going to be a change to the agricultural property relief which

00:02:14.420 means that farms who it will apply for 100% so you won't get any inheritance tax on farms that are

00:02:20.920 worth a million up to a million pounds. And then after that it'll be 20% and then after a certain

00:02:24.960 number it goes up. And so there are lots of farmers who are like right okay but that means me

00:02:30.460 and that means you're going to screw me because farms for anyone who doesn't know although we've 0.71

00:02:34.560 said enough times are technically valued at a lot of money but don't actually produce a lot of

00:02:40.220 income. And so these people when slapped with like 400,000 pounds inheritance tax bill are like

00:02:47.800 will I make 30 grand a year off my farm? What am I supposed to do about this? And of course they say

00:02:52.020 well just sell it. And just to be clear it definitely will affect like the average farmer right. So the

00:02:58.820 average farm in Britain is 88 hectares and at approximately 28,000 pounds a hectare puts the average farm

00:03:08.640 and you can just go to any sort of farm selling thing at somewhere between two and a half to three

00:03:14.040 million pounds. So and this this of course depends on the quality of the land blah blah blah but it's

00:03:19.100 somewhere in the region of two and a half to three million pounds for literally the average farm.

00:03:25.440 It's also worth mentioning as well that agriculture is something that has an economy of scale and so

00:03:30.700 the bigger the farm the more productive it is and so by shrinking the size of the farms I mean this

00:03:41.460 famines. Yeah so saying oh it's just a farm of a million or more okay but that's about a third of
