The Podcast of the Lotus Eaters - The Podcast of the Lotus Eaters #1014

00:00:00.000 hello and welcome to the podcast of the lotus eaters for the 3rd of october 2024

00:00:13.720 i am joined by my esteemed guest by your steamed guest my steamed ham uh harry robinson

00:00:22.620 hello i'm getting a full name intro today for some reason i don't know i just felt who are you

00:00:27.780 um a shell of a man um josh now i never introduced myself i don't need any introductions but today

00:00:36.240 we're going to be talking about um how the death penalty is good and harry's gonna say how

00:00:42.180 a certain fella being put to death is a good thing which i'm inclined to agree with that's right you 0.90

00:00:48.400 the viewer watching this right now scary scary stuff i'm gonna be talking about how i'm only

00:00:56.860 kidding resistance to wokeness in gaming has seen lots of successes and it gives you a model for

00:01:04.160 success in other areas as well which i think is very interesting and actually there are lots of

00:01:08.220 unique things about it that i think are worthy of examining for the broader culture war as well

00:01:14.120 and you're talking about the the grand vision of david lammy geopolitical of course because

00:01:21.940 he is he's one of the greatest thinkers of our time he is he has an iq that is so large that they

00:01:27.940 had to redefine the upper bound it's at least in double digits it's true maybe even single only at

00:01:34.180 most actually at most in single in double digits so also an announcement uh tomlinson talks had to be

00:01:42.660 re-uploaded so if you watched it and had any technical difficulties uh there should be some new files

00:01:47.460 there and it should be fine uh so yes also make sure to check it out more generally if you haven't

00:01:53.280 seen it and uh i think to take us away with with a little burp

00:01:58.060 nice and ready for you it's already begun burpy harry is joining us today that's how i should have

00:02:08.460 introduced you i'd be a terrible news broadcaster wouldn't i what we do cut out at the start is when

00:02:14.580 we sat with harry tapping him on the back i had his lucas saved what you didn't catch was that right

00:02:22.180 before we started broadcasting josh let out one that put me to shame that is true i had a great big

00:02:29.360 bowl of korean rice yeah josh ate a lot of korean and understandably it's backing up on him right now

00:02:36.100 so there might be a little brown stain by the time we're done you might hear a bit of barking coming

00:02:41.540 out of me oh dear no i i had chicken or so i thought as they said they said it was chicken

00:02:49.120 it tasted like it as well all right okay a lot tastes like chicken anyway

00:02:53.360 i'm sure you didn't eat a dog josh don't worry thank you all right a goose

00:03:00.080 right we should actually get serious and start now all right so the death penalty is a good thing

00:03:07.860 and to explain why it's a good thing i'm going to talk about a particular case where the death

00:03:14.860 penalty was applied last week to a convicted murderer who was yes very very guilty called

00:03:22.420 marcellus williams and this execution that was performed on him was just righteous and correct

00:03:29.420 it was justice being done of course if you believed the mainstream media and believed everything that the

00:03:35.560 media were reporting about the case that led up to his death penalty conviction then you would

00:03:41.480 believe that they had put an innocent man to the lethal injection this is not true was the message

00:03:47.580 he was a good boy he didn't do nothing that that's all that was the spirit of the message although they

00:03:53.640 tried to wrap it up in a lot of very very poor very faulty legal arguments along with a lot of

00:04:00.560 pointing at dna evidence when it really didn't apply to this particular case because they were

00:04:06.540 hoping that normal people who read about it in the newspapers and on the bbc and on the innocent

00:04:13.480 project our favorites the innocence project covered them before haven't we who you can guarantee if they

00:04:19.260 are supporting someone's cause that person is not innocent uh because they they were putting forward

00:04:26.040 this case presenting a particular version of this case that left out many of the key details well

00:04:31.220 the the innocence project have actually got innocent people arrested in the place of the person who is

00:04:36.780 actually guilty which if you're trying to bring about justice which they're not the last thing you

00:04:44.000 would want to do the innocence project as an organization exists purely to get black people out of the 1.00

00:04:50.080 consequences of their actions that's that's what it is but anyway first speaking of the death penalty

00:04:56.320 i hope you've bought islander i hope you've bought islander i know last time i said that if you've not

00:05:02.960 bought it yet i'll track you down we're past that point okay if you're still waiting on buying it which

00:05:09.460 you can do by going to the website it's 14.99 excellent deal you've got articles in here by me by

00:05:15.220 carl by the academic agent by the distributist stephen molyneux many others but if you haven't

00:05:22.140 bought it yet you're not got me to worry about i'm going to send josh after you yeah you've you've had

00:05:27.240 the good cop now you've got the bad cop just look at what i can do to this mic stand i can choke it

00:05:32.260 out you see in person he's much more fearsome

00:05:35.840 he will track you down and he will politely ask you to buy a copy of islander very politely yes this

00:05:46.580 is my promise anyway so now that you've bought a copy of islander so marcellus williams here's how

00:05:52.960 it's being reported and here are the general details that you'll get from the mainstream media

00:05:57.180 so he was executed last tuesday the 24th of september in the night in the u.s state of

00:06:04.300 missouri after spending more than two decades on death row far too long williams had two previous

00:06:11.320 executions stayed and maintained that he was innocent in the case of a 1998 fatal stabbing

00:06:17.680 of a white woman called felicia gale in a st louis suburb and a wide swath of people had opposed his

00:06:24.940 death sentence now remember this he maintained that he was innocent he kept saying he was innocent

00:06:31.080 and as we'll see the mainstream media takes this as a guarantee that he was innocent an attorney

00:06:37.740 representing williams argued that there was racial discrimination in selecting jurors and the dna

00:06:43.540 evidence in the case was mishandled these are all sleight of hand arguments being made that i'm drawing

00:06:50.120 your attention to right now for when we actually go through the details of the case to bring up someone

00:06:55.600 who actually didn't do nothing um derek chauvin's trial they actually hand-picked um black people

00:07:02.660 to be on the panel which i found interesting and now they're saying that there was racial bias in the

00:07:08.440 selection of the jury because perhaps they didn't do this there was one black person on the jury

00:07:13.040 everybody else was white so therefore this was racially biased it's probably still overrepresented

00:07:19.600 as a you know if they're doing it you know as a percentage of the population well it's in st louis

00:07:25.620 majuri so i don't know the racial maybe not then that stays but either way actual justice warrior has

00:07:31.660 a very good video on the same subject where he breaks down how um in the american jury selection

00:07:37.440 process you actually have the right to exclude people from the jury without giving a reason you can

00:07:43.560 just as part of the selection say we just don't want this person on there we just don't like you

00:07:47.500 that's that's that's how it works and that's how it should work williams was denied a last minute

00:07:52.800 reprieve from the u.s supreme court after majuri's top court and governor rejected his clemency requests

00:07:57.540 earlier this week so this has gone through over 15 years i think of litigation regarding the stay of

00:08:06.060 execution whether the dental death penalty should be applied every single time it's been looked into

00:08:11.620 re-litigated over and over again it has been upheld so that should say something that the media is not

00:08:18.760 telling you in a rare move the three liberal justices on the u.s supreme court sonia sotomayor elena kagan

00:08:25.080 and kentanji brown jackson said on tuesday that they disagreed with the conservative majority and would

00:08:30.920 have granted a stay of execution they did not give a reason of course they didn't because being liberals

00:08:36.340 their reasons were that he was black and therefore is innocent of all things at all times true at his 0.76

00:08:44.080 trial prosecutors said that williams broke into ms gale's home in august 1998 and stabbed her 43 times

00:08:50.940 with a large butcher knife before stealing her purse and her husband's laptop ms gale was a social worker 1.00

00:08:55.920 and former reporter at the st louis post dispatch lawyers for williams said that there were concerns

00:09:01.280 over the handling of the case arguing black jurors were wrongly excluded from his trial

00:09:05.720 whatever you want to make of that argument they were wrongly excluded which they weren't 0.66

00:09:10.200 there is a fact i want to highlight here which is that black jurors in the u.s are notoriously biased 0.62

00:09:17.200 towards black suspects look at the oj trial they're just like he's innocent he's black he's just like 0.99

00:09:24.500 me therefore he cannot do crime well some of the some of the black jurors who were selected for the oj trial 0.93

00:09:30.180 later came out one of them gave a black power fist for one and then turned out later to

00:09:35.620 have been a member of the black panthers in his no way one of them came out a few years ago in like

00:09:40.380 a cbs documentary and said explicitly that 90 of the jury's feeling was that he was guilty

00:09:47.420 but that they needed to get to let him off as revenge for rodney king and the la riots

00:09:53.540 these aren't good people they're willing to let murderers go free because of their own

00:09:58.740 perceived indiscretions and also consider that one of the jurors for derek chauvin that you mentioned

00:10:06.360 later turned out to be a blm activist after the trial that's not exactly a fair juror is it that's

00:10:12.080 that's enough to bias someone's assessment of someone's innocence or guilt isn't it so i know

00:10:16.940 this is painting with a very very broad brush but experience has shown with a few major cases that a lot

00:10:24.940 of them can't be trusted with this kind of responsibility because they have incredibly

00:10:28.840 strong tribal in-group preference that means that even if they do think that the person is guilty

00:10:34.080 they will get them off because they see the consequences for that person as directly

00:10:38.780 part of their experience in america it's also worth mentioning as well 1998 fatal stabbing

00:10:46.300 this has been going on for so long why is he not dead and already in the ground well he's long ago

00:10:53.120 well as in this should have happened that same year ideally i understand trials take time maybe

00:11:00.400 he was predicted in 2001 it shouldn't take that and this well well there's there's reasons for that

00:11:06.960 which we'll get into because immediately after the murder marcellus williams was not on the police's

00:11:13.460 radar at all and it was exceptional circumstances that put him on their radar that you will not get

00:11:18.660 from any of these reports but the bbc article carries on to say they also said there was no

00:11:23.900 forensic evidence linking williams to the crime scene and the murder weapon had been mishandled

00:11:28.660 raising questions over dna evidence now bear in mind this happened in 1998 the trial originally took

00:11:35.320 place in 2000 to 2001 when he was originally indicted for it um and touch dna which is what they're

00:11:43.180 complaining about was not on these people's mind at the time and the mishandling of the evidence was

00:11:49.520 that procedure at the time was after it had been scanned for any evidence they could find on it in a lab

00:11:55.140 then you were all right as the police investigated to touch it with no gloves because they'd already

00:12:00.440 done all the tests that they need they needed to that's what the mishandling was so procedure

00:12:04.960 mishandling by the standards of the time it's that the methods have developed since and by our

00:12:11.840 modern standards it had been mishandled but that's only a testament to the fact that

00:12:16.020 this has dragged on for so long yeah these these are all um very very modern arguments that are

00:12:23.220 consistently used by innocent project where they go back to cases from the 90s um cases from before

00:12:30.560 we had anywhere near as rigorous dna testing or touch dna testing which is what they use a lot of and

00:12:37.040 they go back and they reanalyze the dna and they get it retested obviously on evidence that a lot of

00:12:44.200 the time is decades old at this point so the dna evidence that's on there will have decayed they'll get

00:12:50.220 some faulty results back and then say ah the results were inconclusive therefore they're innocent

00:12:55.940 that's a really consistent tactic that they use uh his execution has been stayed twice once in 2017

00:13:03.340 once in 2015 due to the discovery of male dna on the murder weapon that did not match williams that

00:13:08.680 later turned out to have been the police officers who touched it after the crime scene investigation

00:13:13.280 unsurprising really i imagine that they could even sample the dna from the police officers involved and

00:13:18.340 get a match yeah so activist lawyers activist groups have been able to consistently been able to

00:13:23.660 pry this case back open on bs claims like that well there's actually other dna on the knife so it must

00:13:30.000 have been somebody else and then it turns out to have been no it was because of the fact that there

00:13:33.820 was a police officer touched it after it already that's what lawyers do isn't it they yeah that's

00:13:38.800 their profession that's that's to be scumbagged yes uh the midwest innocence project a legal group

00:13:43.960 whose attorneys represented williams worked to reach an agreement with the prosecutor's office

00:13:47.580 that williams would enter a no contest plea to first degree murder in exchange for life in prison

00:13:52.260 rather than a execution but the missouri supreme court blocked the agreement and ruled the death

00:13:57.700 sentence would stand mr williams story echoes that of too many others caught in our country's

00:14:03.400 broken criminal legal system said the innocence project a black man convicted of a white of

00:14:07.940 killing a white woman mr williams maintained his innocence until the very end and again if he was

00:14:13.520 actually innocent the innocence project would not have been supporting him for so long there's more

00:14:18.080 information on the al jazeera website regarding this so this is another not mainstream source but

00:14:25.180 another very biased source this gives a bit more information so yep it says that lawyers argued

00:14:31.820 that there was no forensic evidence connecting williams to the crime scene and the murder weapon

00:14:35.160 had been mishandled according to a report by the associated press williams defense also argued that

00:14:39.540 both um uh marcellus williams girlfriend and henry cole who presented witness testimony against him

00:14:46.240 had felony convictions and were seeking a ten thousand dollar reward they also noted that other evidence

00:14:51.420 such as a bloody shoe print and hair found at the crime scene did not match williams so this is

00:14:56.580 some of the arguments that are using against the case that was made against him amusingly in this

00:15:02.080 they offer a little punch line here which was the official said that williams last meal before his

00:15:06.820 execution uh was chicken wings and tater tots

00:15:09.380 no comment okay what does the innocence project website have to say about this who is marcellus

00:15:18.640 williams williams well they do their little thing where they have your a list a numbered list

00:15:23.020 where they explain how he's definitely innocent number one crime scene covered with forensic evidence

00:15:29.220 contained no link to mr williams he'd been seeking to prove his innocence throughout the 23 years

00:15:34.580 the perpetrator so they're saying you know obviously that someone killed her so innocence project

00:15:40.660 doesn't know how would the innocence project step forward to say that they would help

00:15:44.260 that they've identified other suspects no i mean you've suggested that they have actually

00:15:49.900 done that before and got it wrong so thank god that well it was that guy who um they went on joe rogan

00:15:57.780 with didn't they oh that gentleman and then what gentleman i'm being a bit yeah he had a another

00:16:03.540 man's severed head in a fridge and this was after his joe rogan appearance wasn't it i think so yeah it

00:16:10.060 might have even been before i can't remember the timeline of it it was quite a while ago now

00:16:13.200 but basically yeah he had been out of prison for a very short amount of time

00:16:16.700 and beheaded someone all right very innocent so the perpetrator left behind considerable forensic

00:16:24.740 evidence including fingerprints footprints hair and trace dna on the murder weapon so they're just

00:16:29.320 ignoring everything to do with the mishandling of the dna well they're saying it was mishandled

00:16:34.640 but at the same time they're saying well there was dna on the murder weapon which we already know

00:16:38.340 was the police officers so and also this was done at a house so there's fingerprints footprints

00:16:45.420 hair at a house no way i know i know remarkable things have happened which could only belong to the

00:16:53.600 murderer and none of that happened to fit mr williams so obviously it can't have been him they use the

00:17:01.340 argument of the racial bias against him saying that oh well you know there was uh only there was

00:17:08.840 11 white people on the jury and only one black person so automatically those white people must have 0.85

00:17:14.680 nothing but hatred in their hearts they're not able to look at a case objectively unlike if the jury

00:17:20.440 had been composed of 12 black people because everyone knows they're objective yes and therefore

00:17:26.000 it must have been a racial lynching and number seven here's another way that he's innocent he's a

00:17:32.260 devoutly religious man and an accomplished poet during his 23 years in prison he's devoted much of

00:17:37.400 his time to studying islam and writing poetry because nobody speed the process up i say because no one

00:17:44.120 guilty of murder has ever been muslim is the argument they must have been making yes and one of the isis 1.00

00:17:50.660 no no no atheists innocent well they must have been if they murdered people they must have been 0.98

00:17:56.480 the innocence project also makes claims along with a lot of the other articles that the witnesses who are

00:18:03.400 marcellus williams ex-girlfriend and this other man henry cole gave claim uh gave details that were already

00:18:11.680 known to the public by the time that they spoke to the police we'll find out as this goes on that was a complete

00:18:17.600 lie that is a complete lie the innocence project is not above lying in fact it is their stock and trade

00:18:24.360 to lie on behalf of guilty guilty men and murderers but then you get the typical outpouring of a

00:18:31.980 lib of leftist emotional bs regarding this summed up quite nicely with this little wojack meme

00:18:39.500 interesting hat this person on death row is innocent same as the last person on death row and the next

00:18:46.640 person on death row in fact everyone in prison is innocent also there's no criminals at all all

00:18:51.760 crime is committed by 10 to 15 white police officers which i think is exaggerated yes but an accurate 0.98

00:18:57.940 representation of leftist thought processes on how crime exists crime exists because police officers

00:19:05.180 exist police officers commit crime and pin it on innocent black men i think that's literally how they

00:19:12.740 think the world works even when they're videoed um by third parties with no horse in the race and you 0.99

00:19:19.260 can see the crime going on secretly a white person behind it ai and cgi we're just that sneaky you're

00:19:26.840 really falling for those tricks josh no but obviously this is uh the the mindset and obviously these people 0.98

00:19:32.800 are insane aoc had a big brain latina take on this saying uh we must abolish the death penalty 0.92

00:19:40.140 because the leftist loves uh hates nothing more than seeing uh consequences applied to guilty 0.98

00:19:46.820 people anything it needs to be massively sped up yeah there is this sort of uh statement put out here

00:19:54.880 i hope marcellus williams knows the support he had this is insane and then if you go to this other

00:20:00.460 person's this person's same posts such a victim victim mentality women have to carry around pepper spray 1.00

00:20:06.580 tasers watch their drinks can't walk alone at night they don't know if we care well we don't know if we're safe

00:20:11.520 and we have to look over our shoulders 24 7 i wonder why that is i wonder why i wonder why you're not safe

00:20:18.200 i wonder if there's anything to do with criminals being on the streets that you support being on there

00:20:23.980 and your lack of safety in society and then you also get the um the headlines the disgusting headlines

00:20:31.360 from places like the atlantic that literally just says why are innocents still being executed with

00:20:36.880 marcellus williams in the thumbnail so this isn't even trying to say well he some consider he's innocent

00:20:43.320 some might think he's innocent they're saying yeah he's innocent which he's not he was convicted

00:20:50.880 he is a convicted murderer who is now dead rightfully so because he murdered an innocent woman

00:20:57.520 for the sake of stealing a laptop and a purse anyone who defends these sorts of people murderers

00:21:05.400 i feel like nobody goes quite hard enough because they're basically enabling people to get away with

00:21:12.160 murder which is one of the worst things you could do with your your sense of agency in a society

00:21:18.220 people like this in a just world would be exiled would be imprisoned themselves i agree

00:21:25.140 other headlines other headlines that i saw was that usa today said missouri set to execute

00:21:31.400 loving father whose dna wasn't on murder weapon according to attorneys msnbc said prosecutors say

00:21:38.380 marcellus williams is innocent no they don't that's a lie that is an outright lie he's scheduled to be

00:21:44.180 executed anyway and there was an opinion essay for the hill that said that the execution was a tragedy

00:21:50.700 and called it legally sanctioned murder i mean it's a legally sanctioned killing but it's just

00:21:57.480 and it's correct that it happened so what actually did happen well thankfully it's a really easily

00:22:02.960 accessible case now this is quite a long page but i think it's important to go over some of it

00:22:09.380 particularly the key details surrounding the case and why we know it was marcellus williams so that you

00:22:15.220 can understand what actually happened and all of the ways that the mainstream media the bbc the

00:22:20.900 innocence project aoc all of it are misrepresenting the facts of the case and why it was that he was

00:22:27.240 able to be convicted in the first place on the strength of witness testimony and also the lies that

00:22:33.680 they're saying and saying that there is no physical evidence they said there's no forensic evidence

00:22:38.260 tying him to the murder scene so that is dna but there is physical evidence tying him to the murder

00:22:45.580 scene and i think it's pretty damning and you'll understand that these people as josh has intimated 0.97

00:22:51.500 are scum and also deserve to be punished for defending murderers and trying to get them back on your streets

00:22:57.780 where they can go out to hurt more people so i'll read through the case on august 11th 1998 williams 0.99

00:23:05.720 drove his grandfather's buick le sabre to a bus stop and caught a bus to university city which is a

00:23:11.240 suburb of saint louis in missouri once there he began looking for a house to break into williams

00:23:17.200 came across the home of felicia gale he knocked on the front door but no one answered williams then

00:23:22.280 knocked out a window pane near the door reached in unlock the door and entered gale's home he went to

00:23:27.880 the second floor and heard water running in the shower it was gale williams went back downstairs rummaged

00:23:32.880 through the kitchen found a large butcher knife and waited gale left the shower and called out asking

00:23:38.600 if anyone was there she came down the stairs williams attacked stabbing her and cutting her 43 times 1.00

00:23:45.000 inflicting seven fatal wounds afterwards williams went upstairs to the bathroom washed himself off

00:23:50.960 took a jacket and put it on to conceal the blood on his shirt before leaving he placed gale's purse and

00:23:56.580 her husband's laptop computer and black carrying case in his backpack the purse contained among other

00:24:02.160 things a saint louis post dispatch ruler and a calculator which were marked as such because they

00:24:07.940 were property of the saint louis dispatch williams left out the front door and caught a bus back to

00:24:13.000 the buick after returning to the car williams picked up his girlfriend laura asaro asaro noticed that

00:24:19.360 despite the summer heat williams was wearing a jacket when he removed the jacket she noticed that

00:24:23.880 his shirt was bloody and that he had scratches on his neck williams claimed he had been in a fight

00:24:28.180 later in the day williams put his bloody clothes in his backpack and threw them into a sewer drain

00:24:32.900 claiming he no longer wanted them throwing them into a sewer drain that's not suspicious behavior

00:24:37.480 at all is it no asaro also saw a laptop computer in the car a day or two after the murder williams

00:24:43.900 sold the laptop to a man called glenn roberts the next day asaro went to retrieve some clothes from

00:24:49.820 the trunk of the car williams did not want her to look in the trunk and try to push her away before 0.98

00:24:53.940 he could asaro snatched a purse from the trunk she looked inside and found gail's majuri state

00:24:58.600 identification card and a black coin purse asaro demanded that williams explain why he had gail's

00:25:04.060 purse he then confessed that the purse belonged to a woman he had killed he explained in detail how he

00:25:08.960 went into the kitchen found a butcher knife waited for the woman to come and get out of the shower 1.00

00:25:12.840 he further explained that when the woman came downstairs from the shower he stabbed her in the

00:25:16.940 arm and then put his hand over her mouth and stabbed her in the neck twisting the knife as he went

00:25:21.780 after relaying the details of the murder williams grabbed asaro by the throat and threatened to

00:25:27.060 kill her her children and her mother if she told anyone on august 31st 1998 williams was arrested 0.95

00:25:35.080 on unrelated charges they don't say it in here but in another article i found what they were 0.86

00:25:39.360 it was arms robbery of a donut shop and incarcerated at the st louis city warehouse from april until june

00:25:47.540 1999 williams shared a room with a man called henry cole one evening in may cole and williams were

00:25:53.980 watching television and saw a news report about gail's murder shortly after the news report williams

00:25:59.220 told cole that he had committed the crime over the next few weeks colin williams had several

00:26:03.980 conversations about the murder as he had done with laura asaro williams went into considerable detail

00:26:09.740 about how he broke into the house and killed gail so bear in mind this is over a year or almost a year

00:26:15.100 after the crime was committed the police are still looking for the uh for the culprit and the news

00:26:20.580 reports are still talking about it and nobody knows who did it and williams is not implicated in the

00:26:26.700 slightest up until this point so it carries on after cole was released from jail in june 1999 he went to

00:26:33.820 the university city police and told them about williams involvement in gail's murder he reported details of

00:26:39.580 a crime that had never been publicly reported so those things where the innocence project and other

00:26:45.560 news reports have said that they said that oh it was it was details about the crime that had been

00:26:49.720 publicly reported that's a lie that's an outright lie that is contradicted by the public legal record

00:26:55.720 in november of 1999 university city police approached asaro to speak with her about the murder so cole comes

00:27:04.500 out gives them the information and then that information leads them to asaro who then tells

00:27:10.180 the police that williams admitted to her that he had killed gail gives the same story the next day the

00:27:15.720 police searched the buick le sabre and found the post dispatch ruler and calculator belonging to gail

00:27:22.480 the police also recovered the laptop computer from glenn roberts the laptop was identified as the one

00:27:29.540 stolen from gail's residence so you can see none of the evidence the trail of evidence is to do with dna

00:27:36.100 at all it's all one witness comes forward says this is the man that did it the police follow up on these

00:27:42.680 claims by finding the woman who is said to have already heard the story she gives the same story leads them to

00:27:49.320 the car that has gail's property in it and they also find the third man he sold the laptop to that is the most

00:27:57.540 bill has the laptop and williams does not deny that he sold the laptop to glenn roberts

00:28:03.460 also it's so undeniable in how it all fits together this is resounding evidence you know

00:28:10.540 that they get given information by one person that leads them to someone else who independently

00:28:15.200 corroborates the information which then leads them to her property that then leads them to the person

00:28:20.420 he sold the laptop to who then gives them the laptop and confirms who sold it to them that's

00:28:25.620 and then that man does not deny that he sold it but in his pathetic attempts to clear his name in

00:28:30.440 the case he claimed that he was selling gail's laptop on behalf of his girlfriend who he said

00:28:36.600 owned the laptop which is an obvious lie his his argument to say that this is true was that

00:28:43.200 well she's been seen about this summer that summer with a laptop yeah but not that laptop the laptop

00:28:48.900 that has been confirmed so he was maybe maybe it was you or i we both have laptops yeah clearly so

00:28:54.540 he and he tried to in the court in the court case there's a transcript of it in this which is

00:29:00.160 included in here the defense counsel tries to get glenn roberts to say it and the court snaps them down

00:29:09.020 because of this he smacks them down and says you are trying to elicit a desired response that the

00:29:15.700 witness is not trying to give you he's not forthcoming with it you're trying to elicit it from him so we're

00:29:22.260 going to strike this because it's not admissible as evidence because you're just trying to get the

00:29:26.220 answer you want from him so that's that's pathetic uh there's other bits down here where it goes over

00:29:32.220 10 ways that he tried to say that he was innocent or tried to argue against the case that was made

00:29:37.720 for him and you'll see as we go through this all of the innocence project objections to the case

00:29:42.340 are answered through this so all of the different questions that people have that the news is

00:29:48.160 reporting on saying oh doesn't this suggest that he's innocent have already been dealt with when's

00:29:53.040 this from when's this from oh back in 2003 so they're just lying 21 information is out there

00:30:00.940 yeah long before it's easily accessible you can just google it it wouldn't be hard if you just

00:30:06.760 googled the name of the case it'd be one of the top search results yep so williams alleges that the

00:30:13.480 trial court abused its discretion by overruling his objection to evidence regarding williams attempt

00:30:18.800 to escape from the st louis city workhouse so when he was originally indicted for this case after the

00:30:24.360 police got all of the evidence in 2001 he tried to escape the st louis city workhouse the state's

00:30:31.960 evidence showed that williams had attempted to escape approximately three weeks after he had been

00:30:35.480 indicted on multiple charges including the first degree murder of felicia gale the evidence also

00:30:40.380 showed that on the day of the attempted escape williams had been sentenced to 20 years in prison

00:30:44.940 on separate charges during the escape he also assaulted a guard with a metal bar but he's

00:30:51.860 definitely innocent but he's definitely innocent williams alleges the court erred in the trial court

00:30:57.020 erred in failing to sustain his motion to suppress evidence of the post-dispatch ruler and a calculator

00:31:02.740 seized during a warrantless search of a buick he was driving on the day of the murder so he's saying

00:31:07.740 oh well this can't be used as evidence because you didn't have a warrant for it the police had

00:31:11.820 replied upon relied upon consent given by williams grandfather walter hill williams argued that the

00:31:17.820 trial court erred in denying his motion because hill did not have the authority to consent to his

00:31:22.700 search he'd not been his cup wasn't it it was his grandfather's car in the originally so it was

00:31:29.580 property it was it was his car but his grandfather seemed to have been looking after it whilst he was in

00:31:35.200 i thought it was his grandfather let me go let me go back just to double check i think oh yes you're

00:31:39.720 right you're right drove his grandfather's you're right i completely mixed up is irrelevant because

00:31:44.640 his grandfather would be the one to consent to the search of the car which they did ask him and he

00:31:50.140 gave consent so i'm not even a lawyer there you go yep the state also introduced evidence regarding

00:31:57.020 williams robberies of a bakery and a fast food restaurant and from a homeowner whose residence

00:32:01.920 williams had burglarized williams argues that this evidence constitute victim impact evidence

00:32:06.660 from previous convictions the court's very very clear when they talk about this it does not in a

00:32:12.280 death penalty trial the defendant's character and prior record are central issues of the penalty phase

00:32:16.980 and to add more concepts to that he already had 14 felony convictions including four burglaries

00:32:25.120 so on any of those four he could have murdered somebody this was just the first time it had

00:32:31.580 happened so the world's better off that he's dead if yeah if you're trying to set off a pattern of

00:32:37.620 behavior it couldn't come clearer than that and on the subject of the jurists they were struck from it

00:32:42.640 the state articulated three new race neutral reasons to justify striking uh the first person from the panel

00:32:49.260 prosecutor first explained that the person's earrings and clothing indicated that he was trying to be

00:32:54.060 different and was liberal the prosecutor stated that the person also resembled williams had the

00:32:59.820 same glasses and a similar demeanor which of course would actually impact his ability to rationally

00:33:04.800 think through because if you resemble someone and behave more like somebody you're more likely to

00:33:09.160 sympathize with them and you want someone to be as objective as possible so that's why he got rid of

00:33:13.720 them of course leftist media outlets are trying to say that this was just a way of trying to sneak

00:33:18.920 racism in because saying that he looked like somebody meant oh it's because he was black wasn't it

00:33:23.220 well no because otherwise he would if it was just because he was black he would have used the same 0.57

00:33:26.880 logic for the other black jurists that he struck down but that's not what they did prosecutor struck

00:33:32.520 the other one another one down because he was not definite enough on whether uh whether he could

00:33:36.960 consider the death penalty and because he was court-martialed with uh while in the military for stealing

00:33:41.400 money so a criminal so you don't want a criminal judging another criminal um and the prosecutor struck the

00:33:49.580 third person down because he was fired from his job for physically attacking a fellow employee and

00:33:53.800 because he appeared upset after other jurors laughed at him as he answered the prosecutor's

00:33:58.440 questions concerning that incident so emotion emotionally unstable violent physically violent

00:34:05.680 yeah you don't want any of these people on the jury judging a death penalty case the other jurors

00:34:11.480 laughed at me i know oh the hair the hair and shoe prints well williams points to several uh

00:34:17.200 unidentified hairs and shoe prints that were found at the murder scene there was evidence that several

00:34:21.660 workmen had been in gail's home in the month before the murder furthermore gail's husband testified that

00:34:26.480 hundreds of guests had visited their home over the years and that the carpets had never been clean

00:34:30.780 professionally cleaned there was also testimony that people lose a hundred or more hairs every day

00:34:35.400 which they do the existence of several unidentified hairs thus shows nothing more than the coming of

00:34:40.800 going of numerous visitors over the years the innocence project would have you believe that all of this

00:34:45.480 evidence all of these footprints and all of these hairs would point to i don't know potentially some

00:34:50.260 grand conspiracy for dozens of people to have gone in and murdered gail it was a hair monster 0.92

00:34:55.840 clearly but there must have been some grand conspiracy for dozens of people to come in kill her unseen

00:35:01.740 and then get away without leaving any evidence just some very hairy people or or they were footprints

00:35:09.020 and hairs that belonged to people who visited williams expert testified that several foot shoe

00:35:14.800 impressions including some made in blood were found near the body the expert initially testified that

00:35:18.820 the impressions were made by two different shoes oh maybe there was a second person however on cross

00:35:23.780 examination he conceded the same shoe made all the impressions oh so he was lying moreover both cole and

00:35:28.700 asaro testified that williams told them he was alone when he killed gail one of the other things they

00:35:33.280 miss out on all of the other ones the reason that there was no dna evidence on the knife was because he

00:35:37.420 was wearing gloves i could have guessed that anyway yeah if you're if you're a burglar generally

00:35:42.680 speaking you wear gloves that's how it worked yeah and there's actually more information in this

00:35:47.660 actually quite comprehensive and useful national review article i never say that very often do i

00:35:53.040 uh talking about it where they say that for all the attention the new dna received in the media

00:35:58.020 testing actually showed that the murder weapon had been handled before the 2001 trial

00:36:01.600 thereby contaminating the evidence with the dna of an assistant prosecuting attorney

00:36:05.840 an investigator who had handled the murder weapon without gloves prior to the trial

00:36:09.400 and cole for williams former cellmate testified that he said he was wearing gloves when he committed

00:36:13.600 the murder as i just mentioned they say uh missouri attorney general andrew bailey said in this case

00:36:20.040 a new round of dna testing proved the office was right all along the knife in question had been

00:36:24.260 handled by many actors including law enforcement since being found in addition one of the experts own

00:36:29.600 defense's own experts previously testified that he could not rule out the possibility

00:36:34.500 that williams dna was also on the knife he could only testify to the fact that enough actors had

00:36:39.680 handled the knife throughout the legal process that others dna was present meanwhile the innocence

00:36:44.920 project has further argued that the case rests on the unreliable testimony of two incentivized

00:36:49.940 witnesses this is the oh they only did it for ten thousand dollars reward right but the governor's

00:36:55.000 officer office notes that williams girlfriend never requested a reward for the information about the

00:36:59.940 murder that cole provided and that cole provided information about the crime that was not publicly 0.99

00:37:04.380 available at the time but was consistent with the crime scene evidence and williams involvement

00:37:09.280 cole being a criminal did after he gave the evidence expect a reward but he was only going to get that

00:37:17.560 reward if it led to a conviction so if he was giving them the wrong information that's not an incentive

00:37:25.440 to go to the police in the first place if he's just feeding them lies well that would be terrible to

00:37:29.980 have a financial reward to be given the wrong information wouldn't it exactly so the whole case is clear

00:37:36.300 cut it is pretty black and white and it's obvious that marcellus williams was guilty as sin

00:37:43.400 what happened to him the death penalty last tuesday was just it was correct and fair it was a proper 1.00

00:37:50.580 application of the law because if we can get more murderers off of our streets our streets will be

00:37:56.220 safer one of the most surefire way to get obvious clear and convicted murderers off of our streets

00:38:03.080 is to give them the lethal injection the electric chair the gas chamber whatever the preferred method

00:38:08.440 of execution is and it is good that he is dead it's only a pity that it went so long through the

00:38:15.680 courts and trials and appeals system and that it didn't happen sooner there you go here right

00:38:23.780 something a bit more uplifting now oh yes rumble rants of course thanks for reminding me i'll read

00:38:33.260 through them so the first two are from that's a random name first saying look nothing like an

00:38:37.680 execution to celebrate my birthday well happy birthday to you i gave you some good news now if only we could

00:38:42.840 reopen the coliseum and have our politicians play with the lions i'm just kidding of course those 0.67

00:38:46.520 poor lions deserve better it's not good for their diet yeah they're all fat politicians crime happen

00:38:52.920 uh crimes happen because the law is what defines crime if only we could abolish the law then all

00:38:57.660 those poor orcs wouldn't be getting arrested over nothing good point and peter j harvey says i think

00:39:03.640 we should abolish the death penalty it should be replaced with a hard labor concentration camp death 0.93

00:39:07.680 is cheap way out blimey those are spicy comments today you're gonna get us in trouble at this rate

00:39:12.520 anyway i have some good news so we've been talking about the culture war obviously for

00:39:19.980 quite a few years now it's actually approaching four years since we started lotus eaters and

00:39:25.320 we've actually got some evidence here of how resistance works and it's from the games industry

00:39:32.400 and part of the reason i think that this has worked so well is that people have just been

00:39:38.480 having none of it people people who like video games really like video games and they're very

00:39:44.400 defensive over it and certainly there have been some fatalities in in the sense of good franchises

00:39:50.020 have gone down because of woke decisions and bad decisions but the lesson to be learned here is that

00:39:55.120 in many ways voting with your wallet is far more powerful than voting at the ballot box for destroying

00:40:00.780 this sort of thing and i think that this meshes in quite nicely with my understanding of a lot of

00:40:06.960 the motivations for putting wokeness in media it's basically about resource extraction they want to

00:40:14.100 have an ideology that makes it easier to take resources from people and because it's an inherently

00:40:19.440 extractative ideology if you can program that into people it's easier to take more money from them

00:40:26.980 i do think that's part of it but it's certainly a part of it there's more to it than that i don't

00:40:31.140 yeah yeah i was going to say my my theory of wokeness is it's basically an ad hoc ideology

00:40:36.400 off of the back of demographic change there is it's an ideology built for the new demographics

00:40:43.280 it's not any one thing like all explanations of complex phenomena have multiple factors don't they

00:40:48.620 but we're going to be celebrating the the slow demise and gradual death of ubisoft who

00:40:55.580 i despise because they had a good thing going you can see here all of these games i know i remember

00:41:02.660 pre-ordering far cry 3 and getting it in that little um like thing and it came with a survival

00:41:08.500 manual and i was like this is great far cry 3 is great it's one of the only games of platinum

00:41:12.620 assassin's creed black flag another great game i know um ghost recon and prince of persia the old

00:41:18.980 splinter cells are great for all of the stealth friends out there i've never played beyond good and evil

00:41:23.740 but i've heard good things and then you look at some of the modern games and uh yes there's no one

00:41:28.940 looking back at these fondly i know assassin's creed shadows isn't out yet but no one cares about

00:41:34.700 these games because they're not very good i'm surprised they missed out for the for the sake

00:41:38.380 of symmetry far cry 6 on the bottom row because i saw some clips from that you're playing as um a

00:41:44.860 communist revolutionary and there is a trans character in that that at one point murders 0.77

00:41:50.700 somebody for misgendering them and this is presented as a good thing what lovely morality

00:41:56.220 uh they have so it's also worth mentioning one thing that isn't bad is islander magazine and now

00:42:03.020 harry's got a copy there hold it up so everyone can see look at how good that is that's a good magazine

00:42:07.820 you should buy it it's only going to be up for sale for what a week or two if if that i don't i've lost

00:42:13.720 track of time now but 14.99 great british pounds i don't know what that is in inferior currency but

00:42:21.080 in our great currency here 15 pounds is not that much you can buy that even once every quarter you

00:42:27.640 can justify that i think it's a good magazine it's very interesting lots of interesting people in it

00:42:32.360 please buy it it's good for even those of our audience who can't read there's lots of pretty

00:42:36.360 pictures in there are pretty pictures and you will look smarter even just holding it open and looking at

00:42:41.320 people will ask because you know you don't get to see the back cover but the front and back cover

00:42:46.180 very nice don't show them they've got to buy it back cover only comes with pay along with the

00:42:53.160 contents as well but anyway it's worth mentioning that recently star wars outlaws launched and there

00:43:00.520 are some questionable decisions about some of the design here is the actress here is the character

00:43:05.800 see if you can tell which is which yeah i know um there are some interesting choices here like

00:43:11.800 the lady they uh had to work with versus the uh the character itself i'd be furious it's a bit of an

00:43:19.140 insult isn't it it really is but um why have they given her a like that chin but it was pretty badly 0.99

00:43:27.380 received from fans of star wars and video games and there are even accusations from some people

00:43:32.540 that they're paying i think this is ign it looks like yeah uh paying people to review them because

00:43:40.060 the warhammer game space marine 2 um was very popular and lots more people were playing this

00:43:46.460 um you could even see the steam charts and everything like that people enjoyed it it was a good game i

00:43:53.440 haven't played it myself samson gave me a big thumbs up so i think he approves this gets a lower score

00:43:58.980 than star wars outlaws some people get you know clearly a merit-based scoring system hmm it's funny

00:44:06.740 that isn't it and uh actually um it was reported as selling quite poorly and there haven't been any

00:44:14.660 official figures that i've been able to find but rumors are that it only sold a million copies in the

00:44:19.960 first month which for ubisoft and star wars combining you would think it would do a bit better than that

00:44:27.020 what kind of game was outlaws anyway like genre wise well i just saw it as ubisoft and was just

00:44:33.260 like nope so it sounds and tell us it's probably some kind of uh

00:44:36.540 third person action adventure game is it an ubisoft open world is is it ubisoft slop open world where

00:44:45.560 you've got landmarks and you can go to outposts and towers and unlock bits of the map

00:44:50.000 it's less than disney-fied ubisoft that's like how is it less than the usual ubisoft slop that's like

00:45:02.240 double evil isn't it disney and ubisoft combined creating something that's worse than both individually

00:45:08.600 so some good news uh there have been many job losses they had their third round of job losses

00:45:15.660 this year at the company which is kind of funny and if i is this going to be part of that amazing

00:45:22.540 thing that western studios keep doing which is they finish a game and then fire half the staff

00:45:27.660 who are working on it no it is here is ubisoft's stock price so in the past five years it has lost

00:45:34.700 83.29 percent of its stock price at peaking here uh i think when was that about 2021 yeah about

00:45:44.620 january of 2021 still the peak of lockdown so i imagine most games companies probably peaked their

00:45:49.420 stock then but uh we can even flick to all and you can see a rise and fall it's going back down to uh

00:45:58.020 pre-mid 2010s yes so this so maybe they'll start getting good again maybe maybe but this has caused

00:46:06.620 obvious uh upset with a lot of the shareholders of the company as you can imagine and uh in fact they

00:46:14.180 started demanding that the company go private and that they replace the ceo uh use guillemot i think

00:46:21.280 his name is i don't know i don't care either um which i thought was funny and then they actually

00:46:28.360 decided to launch an investigation into the company this was late in september because it's struggling so 0.97

00:46:35.180 much and uh the the ceo who they were all our game studios being ran by fat black women who are 1.00

00:46:43.240 constantly on break so not making games the ceo that they were talking about replacing wrote an 0.71

00:46:49.920 internal memo and i'll try and find uh where is it uh listening to pay feedback uh he basically reminds

00:47:00.420 people i'm trying to find the exact words but he's just like we're an entertainment company

00:47:05.200 please keep i know you've got some strong opinions about things but perhaps it's best we remain an

00:47:11.980 entertainment company rather than inserting our own views where is that um here we are we are an

00:47:19.120 okay lastly i'd like to address the recent polarized coverage around our creative choices we are an

00:47:24.540 entertainment company as such our objective is not to endorse any specific agenda our mission has always

00:47:30.020 been to entertain players and enrich their lives with original and memorable experiences that resonate

00:47:34.880 with a global audience so obviously that ceo speak for please for the love of god please stop being

00:47:42.760 woke stop losing us money we need money because ultimately when it comes down to it people care

00:47:48.840 more about money than principles most of the time that is the world we live in certainly if you're the

00:47:53.400 ceo of a company i'd hope that that's what you care more about so the fact that this is the last

00:47:59.640 thing mentioned in the memo i thought was kind of funny and it's sort of what everyone's been saying

00:48:06.620 in the first place but i personally you know similar to the uk government i want them to continue making

00:48:12.740 mistakes so eventually the whole thing comes crashing down i i don't want them to get better i the name

00:48:20.660 ubisoft is is just like i'm a leper that's if you say i work for ubisoft i want the same reaction of

00:48:27.580 oh i don't want to be in the same room as you disgusting spit on the floor treat ubisoft like 0.97

00:48:32.760 an aids patient so it takes a princess shaking their hand to destigmatize them as diana did 0.99

00:48:41.140 uh maybe maybe but yeah you're right ubisoft should die all of its ips should be sold off to

00:48:47.440 independent studios that will actually do something good with them yeah they're just they're just

00:48:51.480 hoovering up resources to better people at the end of the day and i think that some of the

00:48:55.740 developers that might work for them as well probably not all of them agree with what's

00:49:00.900 going on and their approach to things well ubisoft comes to you they say right we really like what

00:49:05.640 you're doing as a studio we want to buy you so that we can give you more resources you're a little

00:49:10.080 studio you've maybe got 10 15 staff members you've been really holding your nose to the grindstone

00:49:15.660 really struggling you think oh my god that's such a great opportunity then ubisoft goes and turns

00:49:19.700 around and says but you will have to stick to woke dei initiatives from now on you're going to have to

00:49:24.440 hire at least 50 diverse members of staff so the devil pops out from from the ground comes out of 1.00

00:49:31.980 this hellish hole and says would you like to sign a contract you'll make lots of money exactly just

00:49:37.000 don't do it you know it's like the old campaigns against taking drugs you know just don't do it just

00:49:44.520 say no just say no to ubisoft it's worse than drugs ubisoft um so anyway here's a post about of course

00:49:53.380 they've got a funko pop here's a post about uh if you translate it samson this is a massive faux

00:49:59.920 par the game's not even released yet please spread the word assassin's creed shadow figures from ubisoft

00:50:04.800 a famous japanese hate and criminal company um a figurine of a destroyed torii gate has been

00:50:11.220 released which is believed to be based on the one leg torii gate that was destroyed in the nagasaki

00:50:15.920 atomic bombing i i feel like this is this is reading into it a little bit no no no as in

00:50:23.080 normally they're meant to be an intact gate but this is a memorial this is a memorial to the bombing

00:50:27.960 so an american company bastardizes their history well yeah true and then reminds them

00:50:34.560 no i suppose of the time they atomic bombed civilians

00:50:38.780 it's the only half torii gate in japan as samson says yes oh okay so this is about the most

00:50:47.180 insensitive thing that they could have possibly done you know the japanese are already annoyed at

00:50:52.500 what they're what's being done to their history on the whole and then they do this yeah it's the

00:50:59.940 single worst thing they could have done they are doing it are they trying to get the game

00:51:04.640 outright cancelled are they trying to start an international incident it it gets worse than

00:51:10.740 that as well are anybody in charge of ubisoft related to the guy who was flying the enola gay

00:51:17.400 is this some like generational thing they're trying to redeem it yeah so anyway a uh a supposedly

00:51:25.920 japanese journalist oh one of one of these ones so i'm going to read from this just directly

00:51:34.000 assassin's creed shadows is actually well received by japan and the people protesting uh just google

00:51:39.400 translate um poses or they are just google translate poses that's a quote from this journalist um and

00:51:47.940 this japanese journalist uh kazuma hashimoto is actually um a californian who works for ubisoft as a culture

00:51:58.660 correspondent and freelances for sweet baby inc of course let's let's take a look

00:52:03.860 here he is oh yeah there you go oh queer he him funny how that works isn't it yeah 0.99

00:52:14.640 yeah makes sense also writes for polycom of course he does and ign yes that's the least surprising

00:52:23.280 thing ever but the one journalist coming out and defending it happens to just be paid by ubisoft

00:52:30.220 and the funny thing is that all press previews have now been cancelled of the game which just signals

00:52:38.280 that it's going to be great isn't it it's going to be a really good game obviously they cancel press

00:52:43.300 previews of the game that that's always a great sign and you know what else is a great sign

00:52:48.920 announcing a delay because you know when developers started announcing delays people said oh this is

00:52:56.100 good they're waiting until the game's you know properly developed and then people time after time

00:53:01.420 were tricked into buying a game thinking oh well this is going to be polished when actually when

00:53:05.420 there's a delay it's a sign that the entire process of creating the game was a complete mess

00:53:10.500 and it's basically cyberpunk yeah that's what i had in mind and the whole thing is basically

00:53:15.320 irredeemable so they've moved the release date from november to february just keep delaying it

00:53:22.960 forever don't release it and so do you know the the reason for the delaying of this game

00:53:27.840 um are they are they gonna uh d black yasuke no that's what they should have done they need extra 1.00

00:53:39.540 time to address issues of historical inaccuracy so they might so they might they might they might

00:53:47.060 turn around then they might turn around and say okay we're actually going to put a real historical

00:53:52.060 japanese figure in it instead they're gonna you're just going to play an assassin's creed game where

00:53:57.500 you sort of turn up mill about a bit and leave i know why don't they just go whole hog if you want

00:54:04.040 to get the assassin's creed fanboys on just put altier in it go or etzio go all the way back to the

00:54:10.380 start put etzio in it that would actually be more popular yeah assassin's creed is actually a franchise

00:54:14.520 that has always had people of color italians obviously not white um altier is an arab yeah

00:54:21.880 so you know you don't need to prove your credentials here you've already got them if you make a good

00:54:27.260 game people don't care there we go it's as simple as that you even played as a native american in

00:54:32.640 assassin's creed 3 which i actually quite enjoyed yeah and the historical accuracy of the time periods

00:54:37.720 it was looking at was one of the big main appeals of the games back when yeah well i could navigate

00:54:42.780 in venice when i went there for the first time for example yeah plays a welshman in black flag

00:54:47.600 yes then they're not white no not still tawny uh-oh so anyway i want to go to another example

00:54:56.900 where this sort of thing works where people just not engaging not buying stuff sees results and this

00:55:02.400 one's even funnier than the ubisoft this is of course a sony game so you remember i talked about

00:55:06.880 concord and how they're the characters that you could play as are great big hulking

00:55:12.420 uh woke idols for some reason we mean question mark i know and uh yes this is the the lead artist

00:55:21.760 here complaining about it saying pretty soon these weirdos will have no games to buy at all yeah 0.54

00:55:26.800 because you'll have crashed the industry idiot and this was quite prophetic because here is v talking 0.92

00:55:33.020 about the fact that squirrel with a gun i've never heard of it but i want to play it completely 0.98

00:55:40.300 knocked concord out of the water despite it being a flagship sony project only 134 people were playing 0.57

00:55:46.960 at one point and we're all with a gun that looks amazing oh my god but obviously it's just a silly

00:55:55.500 low effort game isn't it like goat simulator i i some people are going to be angry about that i like

00:55:59.960 goat simulator let me i'm just gonna oh wait let me let me screenshot this i'm gonna send this to

00:56:06.180 samson because i want this to be a scene by people but you carry on josh well i can't i've

00:56:12.960 got to wait now i want to see the squirrel with a gun thing sorry come on look at you derailing i'm

00:56:19.840 sorry i am i am doing don't worry look at how slow he is here we are there you go sorry people in the

00:56:26.740 there you go i do respect your time my colleagues less so drop that there look when it when samson gets

00:56:33.300 up on screen is it i can't go on to the next link here we go here we go there you go don't you want

00:56:40.240 to play that is that mark zuckerberg with a wig on that might be mark zuckerberg praying while being

00:56:48.140 held up by you can play an a squirrel that executes tech ceos well i'm sold on the game now i see why it's

00:56:57.020 so popular there you go i want to play it and uh yes actually it got to the point where the game was

00:57:02.880 taken off of the playstation accounts they took down the servers and now you simply can't play it

00:57:09.360 everyone was refunded and uh yes this flagship game which has lost sony 200 million pounds

00:57:16.320 oh no dollars sorry just assume everything's in our money for whatever it's actually sony it's dora

00:57:22.180 dora there you go thank you mr harry that was terrible but uh i'm gonna read some of this but

00:57:31.300 i can't read all of it comes out nobody cares kills itself finally some proper representation

00:57:37.840 that's one man's opinion this i would never find that this was like when suicide squad had that thing

00:57:45.840 in it that said suicide squad says trans rights this is definitely going to get taken down now

00:57:52.500 isn't it if this goes on the internet any algorithm is going to pick up that but um i was quoting the

00:57:58.760 game that's true um even after the game got taken offline there were still seven players shown as being

00:58:04.940 in game and someone was theorizing that it's playstation forcing the developers to play the game as a

00:58:11.380 punishment for all eternity like in cockwork orange where they open his eyes and force him to watch

00:58:20.100 horrible things these are some good memes and uh there were also some other things there's a guy

00:58:27.300 here saying nice to get out of the house and leave the internet behind for a bit did a bit of shopping

00:58:31.360 and finally bought concord can't wait until saturday but looking forward to trying it out

00:58:34.980 and then gamestop said i have some bad news for you and even gamestop's getting in on it and then

00:58:42.640 they're saying you are the ones that sold it to me what the hell is that this is why people like

00:58:49.860 their stock harry yeah i suppose it must be and then finally a former ceo of sony decided that you

00:58:57.900 know they hadn't made themselves look bad enough said games industry layoffs not the result of corporate

00:59:03.360 greed and those affected should drive an uber nice bit of sensitivity there so um drive an uber well 1.00

00:59:13.200 you know that's life you'd be replaced by a tesla soon anyway basically saying you suck yes you suck 0.99

00:59:20.700 at your jobs therefore you get fired this is the good side of capitalism happening right in front of us 0.99

00:59:26.440 right now but people didn't necessarily appreciate this and also it's worth mentioning that sony of

00:59:32.160 course developing the next ghost games of course ghosts of tsushima really well received i'm still

00:59:38.060 waiting for it to become cheaper on steam so i can finally play it and i don't earn enough to pay

00:59:43.220 you know 40 pounds for a game because that's crazy um but yes 40 pounds what kind of discount are you

00:59:50.280 getting on your games 40 pounds it's already been out it was a like a a two pc adaptation came out on

00:59:57.540 console first and um one of the things they said we recently revised the diversity equity and

01:00:03.560 inclusion statement for the first time in 10 years to showcase its attitudes to diversity

01:00:07.740 this is sony so yes expect terrible things from sony looks like they america finally got to the japs

01:00:15.740 well i think sony has american offices as well so a lot of this will be coming from there that's

01:00:22.780 pretty much it i know samson sent me a video of some some big wigs in japan basically saying this

01:00:28.600 is all coming from america yeah i've seen that same video so it's also worth mentioning as well

01:00:34.240 um other games i'm gonna scave them as well dragon age veil guard gave you top side surgery scars or the

01:00:42.180 option to have them should i say and uh do you want to see surely even trans people don't want to 0.99

01:00:49.220 have the scars surely if you were actually trying to transition uh fully and completely you would

01:00:56.820 wish the scars weren't there do you know how i got these scars that's what they want to say and uh yes

01:01:02.640 here is the uh the games director as a definite woman almost certain woman as a what is a woman woman

01:01:16.560 yes uh dragon age has long been a place where alphabet folks can see people like themselves

01:01:22.060 represented respectfully this is actually true they've always they for a long time bioware have

01:01:29.320 had the uh screw a man option uh like be gay options in their games they've always had that for a while

01:01:37.900 and finally i wanted to obviously voting with your wallet works and these companies are suffering for

01:01:44.760 what they've done which is great but another option the morbius option be morbius pills harry knows

01:01:51.260 what's coming so there's a petition this is of course star wars acolyte which is a tv show

01:01:58.120 i find it quite amusing when people generate false interest in a money sink for a large company

01:02:04.540 and then take no interest in it morbius that film was it a marvel film i don't know anything about this

01:02:10.040 stuff it was a it was a superhero slop it was a slop superhero film whereby lots of people pretended

01:02:18.640 to be interested in it they memed it and then no one went to see it and it lost the studio money it

01:02:22.940 turned out not to be morbid time for sony i would like to see more of this i feel like there is great

01:02:29.480 potential here when disney ruins your favorite franchise show a lot of enthusiasm for it and then

01:02:34.720 just don't watch it don't buy stuff don't watch it these companies suffer the people responsible

01:02:40.640 for the decisions suffer and uh you get a bit of revenge just saying there you go

01:02:47.640 and let's end on a happy note hey we've got a bunch of super chats bloody hell we do uh frednaught 0.52

01:02:55.640 says i agree with josh but with short rope to save money and make it more entertaining

01:02:59.600 how that's my segment it was yes um that's a random name says for context space marine 2 was

01:03:06.140 made by eastern europeans and isn't woke it's always eastern europeans and asians these days isn't 0.98

01:03:11.020 it yeah just proximity to the mongols makes you based apparently um meanwhile uh star wars outhouse

01:03:20.920 um i'm not reading the rude word was made by the typical femgroid here in montreal is any wonder 1.00

01:03:26.680 ubisop is on suicide watch that was a good comment yes um frednaught says again all right boys here's

01:03:34.180 the plan we buy up all the ubisoft stock and demand they reinstate assassin's creed brotherhood

01:03:39.280 multiplayer in perpetuity in perpetuity sorry then we'll agree to buy one game from them per decade

01:03:45.960 but it has to be a good game uh keith kaiser says i purchased islander 2 about a month ago i heard it's

01:03:51.560 been dispatched to some people uh when is it going to arrive for everybody else so normally it should

01:03:56.480 arrive um at most between two to three weeks but sometimes it can be held up depending on where

01:04:01.180 you are um but we are dispatching stuff if you don't hear from it uh hear from or you don't receive

01:04:07.680 it sooner you can contact our email addresses i'm not sure the correct email address um perhaps

01:04:13.760 contact at lotus eaters um to chase it up if it potentially hasn't been delivered at all

01:04:19.100 um so yes um sorry to hear that by the way as well um but it is it does take a while unfortunately

01:04:25.400 uh boycotting ubisop isn't enough we've got to make our own games that's already going on but yes

01:04:31.220 speaking of which let me know um what you guys would like to see in my game it's a sci-fi strategy game

01:04:36.820 think total war in space i love total war so um what i would say is try and make it very immersive

01:04:44.940 have lots of factors that that dictate your strategy based on the environment and don't just

01:04:51.320 gamify it you know one of the things i quite like about total war is the more recent ones is that there

01:04:57.340 are lots of different changing features depending on the environment where you are make it feel like

01:05:02.780 you're immersed in the place and it makes the strategy a lot more rewarding and frednaught says

01:05:07.900 it's acolyting time damn right it is oh yes it is all right so david lammy has not bought islander

01:05:19.100 david lammy could not read islander you could read islander and you will when you pay 14.99 for it

01:05:26.460 on the website and get it and you can read it and you'll look very smart very clever and very handsome

01:05:31.720 when you're doing so got that out of the way nice and quick david lammy is our current foreign

01:05:37.240 secretary he is a man who once stated that he was pretty certain that trans women can grow cervixes

01:05:44.040 if they get a hormone treatment he is also a man who very recently when speaking about the israel

01:05:49.520 palestine situation accidentally said that the lebanese need to return to their homes in southern

01:05:54.940 israel presumably right around the gaza strip is where he was intending there and most and uh probably

01:06:02.900 most notably made an appearance at the un last week where he said this but i say to the russian

01:06:10.500 representative on his phone as i speak that i stand here also as a black man whose ancestors were taken

01:06:20.100 in chains from africa at the barrel of a gun to be enslaved whose ancestors rose up and fought in a great

01:06:27.860 rebellion of the enslaved imperialism i know it when i see it and i will that's enough that's enough

01:06:36.080 of that we know that david lammy who's a black man is a black man who has experiences as a black man

01:06:42.640 that interest him on the world stage as a black man i think david lammy might be signaling that he's a

01:06:49.700 black man i don't know where you got that idea from i don't know certainly not my eyes no certainly not

01:06:55.700 but if you listen to him he drops a few hints here and there really i always struggle to pick them up

01:07:01.600 yeah so so we probably spoke about this at the time this was david lammy on the world stage speaking to

01:07:07.280 the russian representative as a black man um and telling putin that he needs to stand down he's going

01:07:14.160 to call out imperialism we can't go back to a world where borders are aggressively redrawn and we don't

01:07:20.400 want a world where imperialism is the norm anymore imperialism is the norm for the world in generally

01:07:26.580 in general history might makes right and that's not changed that is an iron law of reality and also in

01:07:33.540 this speech david lammy basically criticized the russians through his own worldview oh yeah through a

01:07:40.960 woke progressive worldview so to a russian mind that would just be david lammy pats himself on the back

01:07:47.740 trying to look tough while saying nothing of substance well i put it this this way i had to

01:07:52.100 comment on this saying that the leftists like david lammy you can tell when they're making these

01:07:56.560 speeches that they imagine themselves giving the climactic speech in a film they've they've got the

01:08:02.880 music swelling behind them they're back in school and they're speaking to the bully and they're letting

01:08:08.660 the bully know you can't bully me anymore i'm a good person and you're a bad person and they change

01:08:14.920 the hearts and minds of everyone around them and they change the mind of the bully and everybody

01:08:19.320 gets home you know what happens in reality the bully bullies them more yeah i can only imagine that on

01:08:25.080 the other side of the phone the russian representative started absolutely pissing himself if he could

01:08:30.560 understand what lammy was saying he's like he's like got putin next to him he's putting the phone 0.63

01:08:34.660 he's talking about how he's a black man now his ancestors were enslaved they're having a good laugh 1.00

01:08:39.600 because you know what russia hears when they hear something like that they hear oh you're the you're the

01:08:44.540 descent of slaves so you're weak that is true that's literally what they hear because they like

01:08:49.880 power they like strength they like being strong and they will look at you and go you're descended from

01:08:56.520 losers so we can dominate you easily they look over at the west and they go okay who are the people in

01:09:02.200 charge of the west right now virtually signaling weirdos who all want to talk about what victims they 1.00

01:09:06.960 are constantly complain about their mental health and then talk about how they're slave enslaved by

01:09:11.580 ancestors and they shrug their shoulders and they go what are they going to do to us they can't do

01:09:15.580 anything one of the most frustrating things about wokeness is not only that it has made my life tangibly 0.99

01:09:22.660 worse but also it makes us look awful on the international stage just how weak and pathetic and effeminate 0.54

01:09:30.540 and contemptible basically well it makes a virtue of what if we advice yeah yeah and and vice as well 0.94

01:09:38.440 and to every other nation every other empire like russia on in the world on the world stage well that

01:09:46.060 makes us easy pickings and sadly as you can see from this politico article who's who's telling putin

01:09:52.760 here is it david lammy telling putin that you're a slave owning mafibus no it's the uk because he

01:09:57.980 represents us as our foreign secretary so this is the man representing us our interests on the world

01:10:04.320 stage and doing that what on earth is he thinking is it that david lammy has not yet graduated to 0.98

01:10:12.420 triple digit iq is it that david lammy is an incompetent buffoon who embarrasses us all through 0.93

01:10:19.240 our association with him i've seen him on mastermind he got none of his own specialist topic questions 0.94

01:10:24.260 right so or is it that this is all part of david lammy's master plan oh he's like that chinese 1.00

01:10:31.900 magician in the prestige where he pretends to be feeble and weak but actually it's all an act 0.99

01:10:38.020 because he's secretly very powerful he pretends to be an idiot yes this is the lammy doctrine in 0.98

01:10:44.020 action this is a new statesman article and you can see that david lammy is now a serious man 0.97

01:10:50.340 conducting serious business because they took a serious photograph of him in a serious suit which

01:10:55.280 you may have noticed is black including his shirt which is black david lammy a black man wearing a

01:11:00.720 black shirt and a black suit very symbolic of him being black which is something that he wants you 1.00

01:11:06.760 to know and they're a black page yeah there are other photos oh well there was donald trump um this

01:11:12.060 is a very very long article here's a here's a photograph of david lammy contemplating his place

01:11:19.220 in the world that really took me by surprise yeah it's gone on like a nice it's like a lovely scenery

01:11:25.040 and he's dressed in like funeral wear like casual funeral wear but david blair uh david i keep

01:11:31.440 calling david blatter tony blair funeral wear where he's got the top button i can't see that

01:11:37.220 company slogan catching on tony blair's funeral wear here was the here was the front cover for this

01:11:44.640 particular issue so this was all the way back in april in the lead up to uh oh wait sorry june july

01:11:50.600 this was in the lead up to um the election wait no uh yes it was where they were trying whoever was

01:11:57.980 in charge of labor's pr at the time decided we've got we've got to work with david lammy we've got

01:12:05.280 to sell david lammy to the british public how are we going to do that what is he is he boris johnson 0.86

01:12:11.700 friendly buffoon lovable fool trustworthy but a bit funny trustworthy well well that's the way he tried 0.91

01:12:19.680 to sell himself right or somebody put their hand up and said he said as a joke he said what if he's a 0.99

01:12:27.520 machiavellian genius and nobody got that it was a joke and that's what they ran with that's the pr

01:12:34.140 that david lammy went with that would explain the blair funeral wear you know it was the blair funeral

01:12:40.720 yeah and um they say labor's foreign secretary and waiting on why britain must adapt to the world as it

01:12:47.040 is not as liberals wish it to be david lammy machiavellian realist also like how he's wearing

01:12:53.080 the same thing throughout the entire article you know how lord ali bought all of the labor party

01:12:59.460 members lots of suits he only bought one for david yeah he probably thought well this guy's not going

01:13:05.660 to go very far is he and now he's foreign secretary you know what if someone bought david lammy a bunch

01:13:11.620 of suits i'd say you know what i'll let you off because clearly he's he's only got the one

01:13:16.820 clearly clearly yeah it's obviously a joke so the man who called trump and was was a reply guy a serial

01:13:23.680 reply guy for trump back in 2019 called him a neo-nazi sociopath is now an uncompromising realist on the

01:13:32.860 world stage with fingers in all of the different parts because that's what this article is it's

01:13:37.120 obviously a puff piece trying to sell a particular image of david lammy as a man with fingers in every

01:13:43.160 pie across the world who has friends in every nation who is the right man to be foreign secretary

01:13:48.960 for our country now not only that he has his own doctrine which he has dubbed progressive realism

01:13:56.040 and this article doesn't really explain what it is but in fact has a lot of other people

01:14:05.540 like jonathan powell and other people related to the labor party trying to maybe get a guess at what

01:14:13.500 progressive realism means and the rest of it is about him being black progressive realism is like 0.65

01:14:20.800 hard water or something like that i know that's natural it's quite an oxymoron it it sounds oxymoronic

01:14:27.000 doesn't it maybe it's not like hard water and it i think to sum up the article it ends like this this

01:14:31.520 is the final paragraph david lammy is as comfortable among the tight terrorist streets of tottenham as

01:14:36.920 he is inside the washington beltway local and global settings can he bring them together to create a

01:14:43.160 foreign policy that resets britain's relations with the world and works with in the social and economic

01:14:48.480 interests of the british people and then it ends with him saying a lot of uh the world is what it is

01:14:54.980 david lammy sighing melancholic thinking of how how depressing and gray yet hopeful the world can be

01:15:03.380 going ah the world is what it is again like a child who's only just learned a particular word or phrase

01:15:09.320 and has to keep saying it over and over again because they're so excited david lammy wrote a

01:15:13.540 little piece single oh you can read this was back in april saying oh you can read my article that i wrote

01:15:18.720 for the foreign affairs talking about it my new essay in foreign affairs magazine outlines the case for

01:15:23.840 progressive realism this is the underpinning of how my next labor government will deliver our goal of

01:15:28.400 a britain reconnected as i laid out in my pamphlet for the fabian society last year

01:15:33.820 yes you're not familiar with them no go ahead no you go ahead no no you go on you can probably

01:15:40.700 explain it better so the fabian society are basically a socialist society whereby they're

01:15:47.100 associated with all of the worst figures in british history and the fact that he's written for them

01:15:52.860 is is like a self-own for anyone who isn't a socialist it's a self-report it is yeah certainly

01:15:59.360 so i thought let's take a look okay so unlike some foreign secretaries david lammy is a philosopher

01:16:07.120 and he has his own doctrine that he outlined in an article for foreign affairs which is one of those

01:16:15.000 lofty journals that people write in as a way to communicate with other elites across the world to

01:16:20.900 communicate intentions i mean richard nixon's written for it william burns the head of the cia

01:16:25.320 is written for it everyone who is anyone has written for it oftentimes flatly outlining their plans

01:16:31.400 for the world going going ahead so excellent david lammy all by himself managed to write this article

01:16:38.920 so what does it yeah round of applause everybody so what does it say well i drew out some of the

01:16:43.900 excerpts so of of what's important here so he uh first criticizes the conservatives approach to

01:16:51.940 global relations during their 14 years in power saying that conservative officials proved especially

01:16:57.720 callous in their approach to the global south instead of fighting for the hearts and minds of the new

01:17:04.240 global middle class i don't think a globe can have i think a middle class is more you know kind of

01:17:11.820 localized to one nation or region surely global middle class just means the average person in

01:17:18.760 the world doesn't it so that's like the least specific he could possibly be yeah but instead

01:17:24.040 of fighting for the least specific person imaginable they addressed this group in often offensive tones

01:17:29.840 such as when the foreign secretary then foreign secretary boris johnson publicly recited a colonialist

01:17:36.320 poem by rudyard kipling during a 2017 visit to myanmar and the government compromised one of the

01:17:41.880 united kingdom's greatest strengths its soft power by attacking institutions such as universities courts

01:17:47.420 and the bbc so if this is an outline and a demonstration of what progressive realism is going to be

01:17:54.380 so far in this article we get hectoring tone police politics wokeness and the support of soft power

01:18:02.940 like the bbc so business as usual so this is a very very new doctrine still working out some of the

01:18:09.860 kinks let's carry on so here's a here's an accurate definition of what he means progressive realism

01:18:16.000 advocates using realist means to pursue progressive ends which is again a contradiction in terms but okay

01:18:23.740 for the british government that requires tough-minded honesty about the united kingdom the balance of power

01:18:28.860 and the state of the world but instead of using the logic of realism solely to accumulate power

01:18:33.560 progressive realism uses it in service of just goals for example countering climate change defending

01:18:39.980 democracy and advancing the world's economic development climate diplomacy is at the center of

01:18:44.880 progressive realism and a labor government could be it may would make advancing the fight against

01:18:49.880 greenhouse gases central to our agenda so it's not realism then is it it's complete fantasy can you

01:18:57.840 advocate and advance for the economy of the entire world is that realistic and i support everyone

01:19:05.400 being rich this is my my foreign policy i am a realist and a machiavellian don't you know and also

01:19:12.060 uh it's globalist climate technocracy that's what he's saying for he's going to advance the fight

01:19:19.140 against greenhouse gases and for climate diplomacy so presumably going to pick a fight with the air

01:19:24.820 yes as a realist he's going to have a tough conversation with the air say you need to

01:19:31.240 stop being so warm cool you better cool it down co2 you better lose that carbon bond yeah or else

01:19:39.320 better become oxygen we might you put some sanctions on you immediately starts choking

01:19:43.940 actually it become water wouldn't it well perhaps immediately starts drowning

01:19:48.640 a progressive realism worth its name begins by being honest about assumptions the west has made in

01:19:56.200 the past that turned out to be wrong and he lists the rise of china and the other members of

01:20:00.660 bricks and russia elsewhere the fact that we live in what they are now dubbing a multi-polar world

01:20:07.040 so progressive realism the realist aspect of it seems to be just acknowledging that reality exists

01:20:13.980 it kind of and that britain and the u.s and the anglosphere and the west as a whole are not the

01:20:20.760 only players in the game anymore so that's the only realist part that i can identify so great start

01:20:27.100 great start david the failures of afghanistan iraq and libya undermined liberal interventionism

01:20:33.040 a british government that adheres to progressive realism will not repeat these errors okay so no more

01:20:38.880 liberal interventionism no more reckless gallivanting across the world and starting wars in the middle east

01:20:43.380 fantastic that's actually a good thing yeah that said that's not a good start the last decade has

01:20:49.600 made it clear that inaction has high costs too americans increasingly need convincing that europeans

01:20:56.240 do enough to protect their own continent's security and as the united states becomes more focused in

01:21:00.540 asia it will have less bandwidth for action elsewhere the united kingdom is ready for difficult

01:21:04.720 conversations about burden sharing as long as they are part of a serious process that reinforces

01:21:09.100 collective security the european union and the british government have no formal means of

01:21:13.320 cooperation just get them on the phone to address that problem the united kingdom must see a new

01:21:19.400 geopolitical partnership with the eu so closer bonds back but hang on a minute aren't we a member of

01:21:24.840 nato which a decent portion of europe is as well which is a military alliance presumably to coordinate

01:21:32.940 a sort of military defense if europe is attacked yeah is that not what that is so basically yeah he just

01:21:38.040 says that complements both parties unshakable commitment to nato but um so it wants to both

01:21:43.620 have the nato connection and a closer tie to the eu but the eu isn't marshall there have been attempts

01:21:52.660 it's not they want they they just want to be they want a european army don't they is what they want

01:21:57.020 essentially it's what he's saying yes and above all else the united kingdom must continue supporting

01:22:01.540 ukraine so i'm very glad that what he's outlining there is that for the sake of spreading global

01:22:05.980 democracy uh we're going to relocate the international uh intervention from the middle east to european

01:22:14.740 shores one thing i have realized about this european army thing that he's pushing for is that if you

01:22:22.020 have an army that's aligned to the continent of europe if there is say an uprising in a nation or unrest

01:22:29.200 you can just send in that european army that has no allegiance to the the place

01:22:33.760 and fire upon them and put them down so it's basically a a permanent way of keeping

01:22:42.920 a nation subservient to the eu yes and this is something that macron has been gesturing towards

01:22:50.100 for a while as well because macron has been saying that america we can't always rely on them so we need

01:22:54.520 to make europe a more secure place in terms of our collective security and so it seems that

01:23:02.060 they all want this so progressive realism is not anything new it's just a restatement of the

01:23:09.100 regime's goals as far as i can tell so far realism also means recognizing that the indo-pacific will 0.92

01:23:14.700 be fundamental to global prosperity and security in the decades ahead so the united kingdom must

01:23:18.820 strengthen its engagement with that reason region as well so again global prosperity this is not a

01:23:24.720 realistic term this is a progressive and idealist term didn't uh keir starmer's government which

01:23:32.940 lammy of course is a senior part of give away an island to mauritius today i guess that was the 0.86

01:23:39.960 only realistic thing to do yeah we just gave it away to a china aligned country just just throwing that

01:23:46.700 only smart thing in the early 21st sorry in the 21st century a labor government would see its mission

01:23:51.740 as supporting state sovereignty such as against forces such as russian neo-imperialism climate

01:23:57.380 change and corruption so this is globalism again this is the same thing we've always been dealing

01:24:02.600 with um here you go here's what josh was talking about then starmer hands chagos islands back to

01:24:09.280 murita mauritius mauritius thank you yeah thanks for that so this is progressive realism in action

01:24:15.820 only recently said they needed closer ties to china fantastic so there we go just giving

01:24:20.800 islands to our enemies great yeah and then there's just more stuff talking about progressivism

01:24:27.440 finally progressive realism means anticipating how the dynamics between continents are about to change

01:24:32.500 by 2050 more than one in four people on the planet will live in africa the continent can and will

01:24:39.120 generate vast growth not by itself not if everyone's leaving yeah and the united kingdom must once again

01:24:45.900 become a leader in development but to do so it has to adopt a model that emphasizes trading with

01:24:50.460 other countries to build long-term win-win partnerships rather than allowing an outdated

01:24:54.580 model of patronage no if you want africa to be prosperous you need to recolonize it that is the

01:25:01.440 sad truth of africa it is something that china recognizes with the belt and road initiative which 0.82

01:25:07.340 is a kind of half and half way of trying to inject resources and some kind of leadership well it's

01:25:14.040 the attempt is that they they colonize it and and make it a bastion of china alignment whilst also 0.97

01:25:21.720 extracting resources from there whilst they're there well exactly and even then you know you've got

01:25:26.680 people digging up their roads to sell on the any anybody who knows anything about africa knows that

01:25:32.960 if you want it to be prosperous you you basically need to go in and take charge that is just how it

01:25:38.300 works so overall the lammy doctrine seems all of the unique points are retarded and everything else 0.87

01:25:46.920 is a restatement of progressivism as it exists already i don't see the realism part of it but that

01:25:53.740 would explain why he's going out onto the un and shouting about how black he is at russia and putin

01:25:59.980 interestingly in the follow-up to this in foreign affairs they received a letter about this uh saying

01:26:08.060 wait a second so what you're saying is that uh uh he's advocating the use of military power

01:26:15.200 to defend or promote democracy and human rights isn't this just neoconservatism again

01:26:21.200 is it is it not neoliberalism perhaps neoliberalism neoconservatism what's the difference basically the

01:26:29.720 same thing and the critic also did an article complaining about it where they pointed out that

01:26:34.080 if you want to be realistic about things um the lammy and starmer and all of the labor party right

01:26:40.440 now are far too obsessed with petty legalism and the rules-based international law to actually be

01:26:46.480 able to pursue any kind of true machiavellian realism on an international stage which is also true but

01:26:52.040 let's be honest if anybody is going to make britain a leading superpower on the world stage again

01:26:57.940 it's not this guy no this man this man shouting about his blackness to russia is not going to do it

01:27:08.020 and the fact that they tried to push this progressive realism lammy doctrine secret machiavellian david 0.97

01:27:16.460 lammy at any point is pathetic and embarrassing i do not want this man representing me or my country on 1.00

01:27:24.160 the world stage no thank you okay do we have some extra time for comments samson 0.98

01:27:30.620 we don't have any extra time should we read some okay okay do we have uh i can't see the rumble

01:27:40.560 rants oh there's one that's a random name says grievance politics don't work on eastern europeans

01:27:46.320 we never enslaved anybody uh well gulags they kind of did uh but still and unlike lammy's retard 0.98

01:27:53.780 ancestors we actually did free ourselves from our oppressors lammy just wants to steal our iq 0.98

01:27:58.020 well yeah i imagine that lammy's probably like an iq vampire except he doesn't actually suck the iq

01:28:05.020 from you for himself you just reduce iq being in the proximity with him and uh glee777 says david

01:28:11.800 contributing nicely to carbon on carbon crime so i've got two comments i'm gonna read first um harry's

01:28:19.840 threats of violence made me purchase islander magazine volume two i'm glad to see that they're

01:28:25.100 working and there is a comment here that is calling me out so george happ says i am confused

01:28:31.160 how a libertarian can support the death penalty the state does everything wrong but somehow giving

01:28:35.320 them power to kill people is okay look at the january 6th prisoners um they apparently committed

01:28:39.980 treason should they be put to death what law uh when the law is not applied fairly giving

01:28:45.040 more power to the state is unwise well actually i agree with what you're saying there and the

01:28:51.160 position i've held for years and i've talked about this in the office before is that i'm against the

01:28:55.880 death penalty not because i think people don't deserve to die but because i don't trust the state

01:29:00.620 enough to do it but i've come to realize that in british politics actually the death penalty

01:29:04.720 is one of those things that might be quite difficult to get on the cards so if you know say

01:29:09.920 magically i became prime minister and it would probably be one of the last things i do so

01:29:15.260 everything would sort of be fixed with the system before this sort of thing could come back in again

01:29:20.240 and so i feel like it's you could justify it and i certainly don't think that you could argue

01:29:26.440 against the death penalty in the case of marcellus williams who is such an open and shut case

01:29:30.820 so simple easy to follow case for his guilt that it's untrue yeah and my sort of contention is that

01:29:38.260 it's for murderers rapists and pedophiles that's what the death penalty is for um but no i i do agree

01:29:45.620 i'm very suspicious of the government if the government introduced it now in britain i would

01:29:50.020 immediately leave because i would be worried that it'd be used to kill me it would be so i i get what

01:29:55.160 you're trying to say um but i sort of have a there are a few more layers to why i'm okay with with

01:30:02.940 saying it because i agree with it in principle but you've got to have the right political context

01:30:07.460 for it not to target you so basically the the short answer is i agree with it in theory but

01:30:15.920 not in practice at the minute in britain or in the united states but anyway sorry do carry on

01:30:22.420 oh i i think we've run out of time now we've okay um sorry we didn't get through more comments but uh

01:30:29.200 yeah sorry folks but um samson is a hard slave driver we've got another show after this i think

01:30:34.780 which is why it's not samson's fault let him off the hook a little bit

01:30:38.060 he's got two other shows so we we must end we're very sorry but we gave you a very informative

01:30:46.220 podcast so don't be too mad blame me my first segment we do still read the comments after we

01:30:51.800 come off of the show so we do see them we do love you we do and on that lovely note
