00:00:00.260 Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to a controversial right-wing podcast for Friday the 28th of August, 2026.
00:00:08.500 So, just for anyone who's wondering, that was what we got called in the iPaper the other day.
00:00:13.020 Sorry, I'd like a correction. It's the controversial right-wing podcast. Thank you very much.
00:00:17.740 They didn't say Lois, it is comma, a controversial right-wing podcast. They couldn't even name it.
00:00:21.280 Yeah, it's with a vulgar.
00:00:22.680 Like Harry Potter.
00:00:23.640 Yeah, exactly.
00:00:24.280 uh anyway i'm joined by nick and harry and today we're going to be talking about the women
00:00:29.020 defending lindsey clancy because this is like i thought that you know when you first saw it
00:00:34.400 it starts and you're like oh my god that's terrible you think everyone's like what are
00:00:38.100 you doing and you think they're like oh yeah no we better stop but no they've really persisted
00:00:42.600 in their die-hard support of a mass murderer a mass murderer is three people yeah of a persistent
00:00:49.640 woman in this but um a mass murderer is three people in america so she is actually a mass
00:00:55.160 murderer of her own children so anyway uh then we're going to be talking about uh another jolly 0.84
00:00:59.760 subject how the immigrants have literally stolen the countryside because the government has made 1.00
00:01:05.080 them do it uh and then we're going to be talking about um ali g something a little bit more 0.99
00:01:10.880 light-hearted because i saw what these two bastards were covering and thought right i need 0.75
00:01:15.260 to do something fun but not funny anymore no no not not funny if it ever was oh man i love that 0.93
00:01:22.120 though it's like i'm not gen x enough to really like sasha baron cohen we didn't like him either
00:01:27.000 nick was singing his praises i said it was a phenomenon when i was younger it was massive
00:01:31.700 i didn't say it was necessarily that funny i said borat was funnier at first i love the idea that
00:01:35.920 like you know everything's going terrible war in russia war in ukraine war in palestine israel
00:01:40.680 like the the west is collapsing like racism is everywhere i think it's time to bring back
00:01:45.580 ali g guys yeah i think it's time beer of a linen or something or sasha baron cohen with his finger
00:01:50.360 on the pulse how is he the answer to any of our anyway anyway uh before we begin uh after the
00:01:57.040 podcast at three o'clock on the website we have the gold zoom call uh with me and stellios there
00:02:01.100 so come and hang out with us if you're a gold tm member and without further ado uh let's crack on
00:02:07.000 okay so we do have to address this horrible lindsey clancy story harry covered it i've checked
00:02:13.200 everything you said harry and there's some updates so some updates in the case and there's
00:02:17.860 also an interesting article that i've got which is more about the response and the question of
00:02:21.340 why are women responding this way if we can look at it somewhat dispassionately after we get over
00:02:25.380 the how disgusting it is and try and find out why and there's an interesting piece on that but 0.85
00:02:29.780 there's also this round table you guys are doing is that next wednesday it is yeah next wednesday
00:02:33.380 five men are going to discuss the psychology of women who support lindsey clancy uh i actually
00:02:38.740 think we've got some really good insights on this as things should be frankly if this is anything to
00:02:43.400 go by i don't want to hear from women ever again right uh don't mean the same rumors as some of
00:02:49.360 them is what i'm finding well certainly not her supporters right like jesus christ we've got in 0.71
00:02:53.780 that thumbnail that oh leos don't kill their cubs yeah apparently they do actually oh my god man
00:02:58.860 yeah so we're going to be going through the psychology of this because we've we've had
00:03:01.400 weeks to think about this obviously and this has been something that i think we've got some really
00:03:05.140 good insights on so uh ladies we look forward to seeing you there okay and we've also got islander
00:03:10.360 six we do while stocks last uh until sunday is the last day you can buy it actually so buy it
00:03:15.560 whilst you still can all right so some updates on this well i just wanted to go over first what
00:03:22.780 candace owens said because we've got the the idea that it was all we have to very briefly
00:03:27.500 very briefly
00:03:28.280 it's all to do with
00:03:29.240 I blame Ben Shapiro
00:03:30.860 for this
00:03:31.340 well yeah
00:03:31.760 ultimately
00:03:32.040 it's entirely his fault
00:03:32.720 at base
00:03:33.360 this is Ben Shapiro
00:03:34.860 this is
00:03:35.380 it is shocking
00:03:36.100 and the reason I bring this up is
00:03:37.440 one of the developments is
00:03:38.840 in the argument
00:03:40.200 was she
00:03:41.400 undergoing psychosis
00:03:42.980 was her medication
00:03:44.240 mismanaged
00:03:44.800 and there's some
00:03:45.140 yeah but what about
00:03:45.700 Lindsay Clancy
00:03:46.280 sorry
00:03:47.380 that's good
00:03:48.860 that is good
00:03:49.600 yes we need to
00:03:51.040 separate podcasts
00:03:51.820 on Candice's
00:03:52.740 medication
00:03:53.660 definitely
00:03:54.300 and her pronunciation of words
00:03:55.860 will be a four hour show
00:03:56.980 have you seen that twitter account going around yeah it's incredible anyway this is i mean you
00:04:01.960 could say that this what she says here is the essence of the pie sorry what was the one that
00:04:05.940 i heard her say uh put the genie back in the bible the cream of the pie this the cream of the pie was
00:04:14.380 my friend i just say this here is the top of the squirrel hutch this clip we're about to say i'm
00:04:19.200 just making up candace phrases i don't know what this here is the peak of the slide let's have a
00:04:23.580 look i made my thoughts clear on this the moment that she um was arrested the moment that it made
00:04:33.140 the news lindsey clancy is obviously not guilty there are a fleet of doctors who should be
00:04:38.460 imprisoned for what they put her on i regularly speak out against big pharma they get away with
00:04:43.540 murder all the time and in this case they are getting away with the murder of really her three
00:04:50.060 children but also completely destroyed her life when lindsey clancy in my opinion is not guilty 0.62
00:04:53.980 she was put into a an intentional psychosis when she probably just needed to give her kids away for 0.99
00:05:00.540 a weekend to get better but they constantly give you these drugs that do not make things better
00:05:05.440 and the cocktail of 10 pharmaceuticals that she was on is absolute madness absolute mad
00:05:11.380 didn't she have a nanny yes yes and she fired her and she fired the nanny this is candace's world i
00:05:17.160 I mean, fleets of doctors, another made up phrase, but they're not in fleets.
00:05:22.000 What's the collective name for doctors?
00:05:24.000 It's not a fleet, it's a flamboyance.
00:05:26.740 And that's flamingos.
00:05:28.040 We learned that the other day. 0.97
00:05:29.980 So what Candice is doing, very glibly, in my opinion, just immediately saying, right, no autonomy for Lindsay.
00:05:34.760 It's all on the pharmaceutical, big pharma. 0.96
00:05:38.640 She's on this cocktail of drugs, which is heavily disputed, which we'll get into. 0.78
00:05:41.900 Just completely glibly, like, that's it. 0.98
00:05:43.640 Not to blame at all.
00:05:44.540 I 100% blame Big Pharma.
00:05:45.600 It's a practice of doctors.
00:05:46.820 A practice doctor makes a lot of sense rather than a fleet.
00:05:48.800 According to Google.
00:05:49.400 Maybe when they're at sea.
00:05:50.480 A hospital of doctors.
00:05:51.520 At sea, look at a collective now for doctors at sea.
00:05:57.720 Right, so obviously this is very serious.
00:06:00.620 It's still a fleet.
00:06:02.000 It's still a practice, yeah, not a fleet.
00:06:03.880 Ali Beth Stuckey looks at it and she said,
00:06:05.840 okay, I was wrong about it.
00:06:06.980 And she's realized that this so-called cocktail of drugs,
00:06:09.800 Candace is like she was on 10 different drugs
00:06:11.400 that they forced into psychosis. 0.75
00:06:13.060 In reality, she's on six drugs that were found in the system.
00:06:16.020 some of them at lower levels than typical typically prescribed it's looking questionable
00:06:20.260 whether you can blame that we'll just have a little tell you why i am less convinced of that
00:06:25.140 theory now number one we do have the testimony of a doctor in this trial dr justin brower who
00:06:32.740 testified that the dosages of uh lamectol remeron and trazodone were all within therapeutic levels
00:06:40.760 and that the Seroquel in her blood was double the regular dosage but not a toxic dosage
00:06:46.440 and that the Valium and the Adivon found in her blood were actually slightly below the prescribed
00:06:51.780 range. So that's one thing. Let me tell you the more important detail that I feel is lost as we
00:06:58.940 are talking about this. Both the prosecution and the defense, and this is in the transcript of the
00:07:05.020 trial from day one that you can go read yourself, agree that Clancy crushed and ingested these pills
00:07:10.800 after killing her children. Okay. Now I am not saying that that means that none of these
00:07:17.720 prescriptions had any effect on her psychiatric state. I'm just saying we don't actually know
00:07:24.600 how much medication she had been taking, which medications she had been taking,
00:07:29.660 because also through expert testimony on both sides,
00:07:33.480 we have seen witnesses say that Clancy wasn't really reliable
00:07:39.560 and didn't seem reliable
00:07:41.320 when it came to actually taking her medication consistently.
00:07:45.900 Okay, so it goes on a lot, but you basically get the idea.
00:07:48.040 Did she take them after?
00:07:49.140 She didn't take that many.
00:07:50.780 Did she reliably take them?
00:07:52.260 So this idea is just clean cut, big pharma, 1.00
00:07:55.380 poisoned her, made her a psycho, made her do it.
00:07:57.260 but also 18 minute premeditated murder spree yes planning telling your husband to go out 0.66
00:08:02.760 knowing how long he'd be out yeah also frank up and she was just calm on the phone yeah middle
00:08:08.180 of it yeah just really yes yeah yeah yeah yes oh yeah you read you read the actual transcript of
00:08:13.540 the event i saw people saying that the uh audio of some of the phone calls was available oh that's
00:08:18.360 the i i didn't want to listen to something like that i've avoided yeah yeah well as far as i'm
00:08:23.760 aware they didn't release it so what people have heard read transcripts and things i haven't seen
00:08:28.220 the transcripts i saw like a person who was in the courtroom speaking to like fox news or whatever
00:08:32.300 it was and they were just like yeah it was and i i was just like you know i'm not gonna listen
00:08:36.440 yeah i tried to stay away but but i mean for me the point was even if she was on a load of stuff
00:08:41.900 it doesn't take doesn't matter doesn't take responsibility for the action of course of course
00:08:46.640 and we'd all agree on that here thankfully but but but even i'm saying even on candace's theory
00:08:51.860 this doesn't even stack up i mean even this woman she's like oh you know i don't believe that theory
00:08:55.980 anymore like maybe maybe we've got some details wrong this doesn't matter right and also and why 0.95
00:09:00.460 did she side with that theory immediately and have to change you know that's stupid as well but 0.61
00:09:03.780 and the other thing after the phone call she's meant to have heard this voice but here you've 0.96
00:09:07.760 got um fbi psychiatrist dr gregory satoff who he questions whether she heard the voice because
00:09:13.740 the way she described hearing the voice is atypical in a number of ways let's say she made
00:09:17.400 are not puppets. Ms. Clancy stated to me that her hallucination occurred when she was standing at
00:09:25.720 the refrigerator. When she received a call from Patrick Clancy, returned the call. And then as
00:09:32.280 soon as she finished the call, she said that that is when she heard the voice. This is your last
00:09:39.520 chance. You have to kill your kids and then kill yourself. To Dr. Spinelli, she said that the voice 1.00
00:09:45.700 happened as soon as patrick clancy left on his errands and that the voice that it was her children
00:09:52.940 would suffer if she did not do that is it typical for someone in psychosis to hear a voice only one
00:09:58.560 time never before never after no is it typical for someone in psychosis to hear a voice that's
00:10:03.840 constant rather than intermittent that is uh that would be pretty rare just like adults so
00:10:08.640 so she's claiming she heard this voice once it told what to do she followed it and also that then
00:10:13.680 it stopped and he's basically saying all these things are incredibly rare you wouldn't hear a
00:10:17.440 voice constantly either you would hear it intimately from time to time you wouldn't hear it once only
00:10:22.440 ever and in that once it sort of it carries on until you do something it's more it just comes
00:10:27.060 and goes because if you if you have this type of psychosis yeah and he confirms it here even in the
00:10:32.280 guardian uh final witness in lindsey clancy trial says he doesn't believe she heard a voice during
00:10:36.760 killings and the crucial um paragraph i've got it here but i'm just going to see if i can find
00:10:41.740 on there for you guys here we go satov said on tuesday he found it unusual that clancy said the
00:10:47.400 voice she was hearing stopped once she had killed the children and that the voice was constant rather
00:10:50.920 than intermittent committing the act is not curative of the voice satov said adding that in
00:10:55.440 his experience he had not ever seen that happen meaning he'd never seen it where you have to kill
00:10:59.980 them have to go then you kill them and it stopped he'd never heard of that so but if you're lindsay
00:11:04.020 clancy you don't really know any of that you think well if i say that and then i do it and then 0.97
00:11:07.320 like if i say that i did that was the case and then you know that seems logical it would
00:11:11.880 exonerate me in some sense but it seems logical that yeah i followed the voice i did it and then
00:11:15.740 the voice stopped he's like my he's like i've never heard that ever yeah that does not how
00:11:19.080 forensic psychiatrist yeah so but you know easier to just do a podcast and just say that this is
00:11:25.980 what happened without any research isn't it to millions of people candace so she's the most 0.99
00:11:30.640 irresponsible person on the internet yeah it's crazy it's become insane so that's just an update
00:11:36.200 on the trial some of the things in the trial
00:11:38.340 but then there's also a quick recap on the response
00:11:40.360 here of course which is what I mainly want to focus on 1.00
00:11:42.340 so there's the women rallying behind 1.00
00:11:44.240 the 300 women
00:11:45.260 gathered outside the Massachusetts courthouse
00:11:47.700 and they have all these things you know
00:11:50.020 peace for Lindsay all this madness
00:11:51.740 the organiser said
00:11:53.300 Lindsay shouldn't even be on trial
00:11:56.380 right now the systems of mental health care 1.00
00:11:58.240 should be that's Rennie Kimball
00:12:00.100 the organiser of the protest so just to give you an idea
00:12:01.880 and we've all seen the deranged videos
00:12:04.040 oh man this one made me feel same lindsey you know all the kind of i mean i was you don't even
00:12:09.700 but there's all these videos just me too lindsey same and they're all holding their children
00:12:14.000 so we see the phenomenon which is absolutely sick and insane who feels also who feels the need to
00:12:20.820 film themselves doing this and posting it on social right it is performative it feels like
00:12:27.080 a weird threat yes yeah it feels very much like a threat but it also feels performative oh my god
00:12:33.480 people their husbands must just be like jesus people yeah i'd be worried either that or they're
00:12:38.260 single mothers yeah we can get not single mothers that's the thing get into later how probably it's
00:12:42.380 not literal right they're not gonna actually do anything sure but then why is it occurring
00:12:45.780 they're trying to they're trying to piggyback off the sympathy yes this is a normal woman that
00:12:51.720 explains why it's harming normal women guys can keep blowing up my comments with this whole oh
00:12:56.360 well men commit 90 of violent crimes and men do this and men do that when a man rapes a woman or
00:13:02.620 murders his children you don't have a group of men wearing blue rallying outside the courthouse
00:13:07.520 saying it wasn't him he wasn't in his right state of mind it was his testosterone you don't see 0.84
00:13:12.940 men oh well he had ptsd so it wasn't him he's the victim no you don't see that okay women are
00:13:21.100 coming on here and saying oh well yeah lindsey clancy just murdered her kids because of postpartum 0.95
00:13:26.360 and her hormones do you know how bad that makes women look and you know how bad a thousand a 0.75
00:13:33.740 million women coming on here defending lindsey clancy saying i am lindsey clancy we've literally
00:13:39.040 been trying to prove to men for years that our hormones do not affect our capacity to make
00:13:46.960 decisions or whatever else but now you guys are all coming on here saying oh well actually it
00:13:51.580 might make you kill your kids though jesus that is what i have a problem with good point there
00:13:57.660 isn't it yeah yeah yeah it's a great point point i made in my first one which is like 1.00
00:14:02.460 it's really not nice to acknowledge it but like there's a lot more of these kinds of women
00:14:08.140 than we want to think that there are at least the ones who are willing to sympathize with it
00:14:12.540 and the ones who frankly are capable of doing such a thing yeah this i don't like the um the
00:14:19.240 telegraph here trying to ideologize this oh she's a feminist symbol no i i don't i don't know that 0.89
00:14:25.060 these women are feminists no there's there was the one video of some psychologist where she just said
00:14:29.180 the quiet part out loud where she said oh the reason that so many of us are standing up for
00:14:33.500 this is because we see ourselves in lindsay so so that that sort of like oh this could happen to me 0.96
00:14:39.680 because i'm a completely crazy bitch who's not in control of myself right that that's kind of 0.59
00:14:45.280 the impression that i got and then you go and then you're going to sympathize you're going to excuse 0.99
00:14:49.780 it and try and make up any any reason for why she doesn't need to take responsibility for oh it was
00:14:55.220 the star signs yeah well oh it was the husband secretly we'll get into it because we've got an
00:14:59.240 article on this but i do want to add i take postpartum depression very seriously i've had
00:15:03.400 normal women who subscribe to my sub stack for years well i said i've got women commenting on
00:15:08.900 my sub stack they must be good people because they're on my sub stack and they they're sensible
00:15:11.900 and they're saying, look, I had this really bad. I was suicidal. Or at times I almost wanted the
00:15:15.400 kids to disappear, but that was never a real threat. They say, oh, I was kept going by the
00:15:19.600 fact that I had my children, even though I felt terrible. But it's a very real thing, it seems.
00:15:23.180 And women will say, very sensible women will say, this is awful, but of course I'm carrying on. 1.00
00:15:27.540 There's a big leap between that and killing your children. So you can believe several things. You 0.97
00:15:30.980 can believe postpartum depression is absolutely real. And that's why you were saying Matt Walsh
00:15:34.300 goes too far the other way. Well, yeah, that was the point is that I have broad sympathy for women
00:15:39.100 who've gone through it i've seen people i know go through it so the kind of knee-jerk reaction to
00:15:44.280 this being oh it's not real oh that nothing nothing of the math nothing of the sort exists 0.97
00:15:49.420 is stupid and kind of like reductive of the conversation and it's pointlessly picking men 0.98
00:15:53.320 and women against each other the reality is postpartum depression is real big pharma is bad 1.00
00:15:58.220 you can get on terrible drugs you shouldn't be on but then also you can't kill children and all
00:16:02.800 sympathy goes out the window then you don't go yeah but you just go right must be punished that's
00:16:07.280 that's a leap that some people can't make for some reason from a purely societal level you have to
00:16:11.540 just you have to just say this isn't something that we can let off under any circumstances
00:16:17.000 because what i've seen it so much else you start normalizing stuff and the snowball effect is real
00:16:21.920 the slippery slope is real so i'm not going to go like no no no no maybe we should hear her out for
00:16:26.860 this one and crazy things are happening if this is true this is basically like my boyfriend of
00:16:31.160 four years baited me into forming an opinion on lindsey clancy now we're no longer together well
00:16:34.960 you shouldn't have come out in defense of her should you right exactly she was like oh it's
00:16:38.200 complicated i don't know i mean you've got to hear blah blah someone said it to me in my replies i'm
00:16:42.500 like yeah i don't want anything to do with you blocked i'm like if you think there's any sort
00:16:45.440 of yeah but then you're you know you're gone and so people like i believe men actually will be
00:16:50.160 doing well the thing just a thing on this like this this is revealing those women who actually
00:16:55.720 don't want to take responsibility for themselves right this is one of those long-standing men
00:17:00.660 women jokes like think of uh was it jack nicholson's you know how do you write think of a man i take
00:17:05.920 away reason and accountability well we're looking at the women who don't want to take accountability 0.60
00:17:11.040 right and then the future implications for your children are just too dangerous obviously it's 0.96
00:17:14.940 worse than that it's going to show that they the old 19th century thing where you just commit women 0.92
00:17:19.840 for a broad case of hysteria is real nervous that's totally real all of these women should
00:17:25.980 be committed for a bout of hysteria but in like in their defense not in lindsey clansy's defense
00:17:32.520 i and this is what we'll talk about in the roundtable right i am mildly sympathetic to
00:17:37.460 i had postpartum depression and i had intrusive thoughts yeah that i thought were horrible you
00:17:43.320 know because i mean like everyone i think has intrusive thoughts at some points you know when
00:17:47.380 i go to tesco's and i see the demographics i feel them all absolutely not definitely not
00:17:53.680 but i definitely have some intrusive thoughts but i don't act on them obviously you know you
00:17:57.760 have intrusive thoughts you don't act on them i think these women are thinking but what if um my 0.99
00:18:02.220 resistance to the intrusive thought was just slightly lower that day right and i'd you know
00:18:07.900 just done whatever the intrusive thought was and therefore there go i but for the grace of god and
00:18:13.200 like i am mildly sympathetic to that but the answer is if you did you'd have committed a
00:18:18.520 crap i mean bill back when he was funny but it's not even that it's okay sure and if this had been
00:18:26.260 a case that seemed to be that as in a mother just impulsively does something horrible because she 0.97
00:18:32.900 lost control and the intruder thought well fine but this is clearly not an impulsive act because
00:18:37.200 it's so planned it's so premeditated it's so obviously cold-blooded right and so i don't
00:18:42.280 it's also a key difference i was gonna say bill burr back when he was funny had a bit like he's
00:18:45.500 driving something what if i just pulled over and mowed everyone down it's like but he doesn't do
00:18:49.220 it but if he did it that that'd be horrible as he carries on driving you know yeah yeah everyone's
00:18:53.320 you know but also why are the intrusive thoughts not like they're walking down the street with 0.98
00:18:58.580 their child and they're and they're thinking like this person is a threat i'll kill them yeah to
00:19:03.200 protect their children right because i say that this the uncomfortable thing this reveals is 1.00
00:19:06.900 there's way more of these kinds of women out there than we're comfortable um acknowledging 1.00
00:19:10.780 uh the other side to that coin is that there are still way more women who will do those spectacular 1.00
00:19:17.160 feats like lift the helicopter to save the child uh to like exhibit superhuman strength there was
00:19:23.380 a woman who got severely burned uh saving her kids from a house fire insane danger to save their own
00:19:29.120 children well there are still more of those women out there so like if we can acknowledge that there
00:19:34.120 are those women who will as mothers put themselves in mortal danger to save their children we can
00:19:39.220 equally say no your brain is kind of like if you are saying that there are these intrusive thoughts 0.66
00:19:45.440 and also i sympathize with the woman and i'm going to go to bat for her for murdering her children
00:19:50.660 no you're just wired wrong some people also said it's funny how she didn't take it out on her
00:19:54.560 husband only people were defenseless so there is a convenient ah well this is again this is another
00:19:59.860 thing we'll talk about but my my wife is convinced that she did it to get back at her husband
00:20:03.260 because there was there was another case very recently of a woman who cut the throats of her 0.64
00:20:06.820 children for hiring a nanny and trying to take the burden off for whatever reason you know who
00:20:11.640 knows what the situation was i mean she thinks my wife thinks he was having an affair which is why
00:20:15.260 he got married so quickly afterwards right i don't know right i don't know your speculation
00:20:19.380 yeah it's totally conjecture but the point is she thinks she did it to get back at the husband
00:20:23.060 so it's like right okay be kind to my wife and don't give her a reason to get back at me got it
00:20:27.480 she obviously knew it was bad because of course she jumped out the window afterwards um
00:20:30.660 try to kill herself um it's very dark by the way sigil stone has mentioned the greek city we'll get
00:20:37.480 to that i've got that example in there but what i want to talk about while we have some time left
00:20:41.040 not all of it quite interesting article from bennett's phylactery where he tries to look at
00:20:45.620 why this actually happened because outrage is one thing uh but why is this actually happening
00:20:51.420 and so we haven't got time i'll go through some key quotes the obvious thing to do here is to
00:20:55.280 luxuriate in our outrage at this certified woman moment and try to outdo one another in our revulsion
00:20:59.860 and contempt there is a danger we just stay in that but he says this is not to say that he's 0.68
00:21:05.320 he's not taking a moral position but he just thinks when this is such a widespread phenomenon
00:21:09.080 we have to look at why is that he says this is not to say we should be above taking a moral 1.00
00:21:12.640 position obviously i feel the same visceral horror and incomprehension of what the foids are getting 1.00
00:21:16.460 up to but we can't stop there we have to figure out what this is and what can be done about it 1.00
00:21:20.080 why is it happening now because he points out elsewhere in the article women have been the 0.86
00:21:25.000 same for a while this but this didn't used to happen so he says on a superficial level it's
00:21:29.040 obvious why it's happening. The parasocial rewards for having a public freak out have gone
00:21:32.460 stratospheric. Social media algorithms select for and cultivate narratives that trigger exactly
00:21:36.740 the reciprocal feedback loop of outrage that we observe here, in which two opposing perspectives
00:21:41.000 are so alien to one another that each side vigorously amplifies the enemy's messaging
00:21:44.800 to show their friends how repugnant and absurd the enemy is. I kind of Matt Walsh saying, look at
00:21:48.960 how disgusting this is. And of course, that'll happen. So partly it's incentives, which brings
00:21:53.060 us to the example of Miletus, which has been going around. I know you've shared it.
00:21:56.940 in the ancient greek city of miletus there was a high profile suicide by a young woman
00:22:01.640 and because depression suicide are psychogenic illnesses meaning that they start in the mind 0.77
00:22:06.060 some other milesian maidens saw the attention she got and committed suicide herself and pretty soon 0.96
00:22:10.960 they had a suicide academic how did it end you ask well they tried everything but the young women 0.94
00:22:14.800 affected by this epidemic seemed immune to reason and then the leader of the city decreed that the
00:22:18.880 next suicide would be stripped naked and left hanging in the city sent her to be leered at
00:22:23.420 And then what? 0.96
00:22:24.140 How humiliating, you say.
00:22:25.260 How cruel, how inhuman.
00:22:26.460 But that was the last suicide in Miletus.
00:22:28.740 Yeah, that comes from Plutarch's
00:22:29.880 on the virtues of women, chapter 11.
00:22:32.280 There we go.
00:22:32.700 We've got the exact chapter.
00:22:33.480 I looked it up.
00:22:34.280 It doesn't sound like much of a virtue,
00:22:35.720 to be honest.
00:22:36.440 Well, it's a collection of information.
00:22:40.220 He's the first man to write the multi-volume tome 0.99
00:22:43.480 Why Women Deserve Less. 1.00
00:22:46.600 That is a joke. 1.00
00:22:48.100 But it's not entirely inaccurate.
00:22:50.280 But anyway, let's carry on.
00:22:51.100 Yeah, so if you go back to the article,
00:22:52.100 um oh and i've lost my scrolling he he so why is this happening he claims that the women sending
00:22:59.020 money and the women protesting aren't literally thinking about killing their children instead he
00:23:04.500 says what these women are thinking is being a mom is seriously super hard and i'm being super brave
00:23:09.100 look how brave i'm being um that's really all it is the best defense you can make of this behavior
00:23:13.920 is that it's sincerely completely superficial and self-involved well there is also just like
00:23:19.240 a little bit on the side of that which is also i look quite cute in this video sure but i i think
00:23:24.080 he's right here i think what they're doing when they're saying you know same lindsey and they're
00:23:27.120 crying with their babies in their arms they are trying to get the other women the other mums
00:23:33.780 specifically say oh you're so brave you're doing such a good job you know it's that i think he's
00:23:38.580 spot on there yeah and absolutely spot on further on he says obviously um these thousands of women
00:23:44.580 are not actually suggesting they're literally actively experiencing what lindsey can't experience
00:23:47.940 or actively demanding the only intervention
00:23:49.880 would have made any sense
00:23:51.120 to have their children confiscated by the state.
00:23:53.880 He basically points out
00:23:54.780 that you couldn't literally have taken them.
00:23:57.420 There wasn't, because under the law,
00:23:59.300 you couldn't have actually done anything.
00:24:00.640 So he points out, what could you really,
00:24:02.340 what did you really want?
00:24:04.600 He says, maybe it's a waste of time to spell out
00:24:06.000 these demands have no practical content,
00:24:07.720 but whatever, they have no practical content. 1.00
00:24:09.760 Women are using language differently. 1.00
00:24:10.840 They want to feel heard. 1.00
00:24:11.720 It's not about the nail.
00:24:13.000 And he's referencing there a famous sketch
00:24:15.000 where the woman's got a nail in her head.
00:24:16.600 And she's saying, I just feel weird.
00:24:17.780 I feel like there's a pressure here.
00:24:19.400 And the guy's going, it's the nail in your head.
00:24:21.400 And she's going, no, no, it's not about the nail.
00:24:24.120 And so he's saying this is a problem between men and women.
00:24:28.000 It's a famous comedic problem.
00:24:29.980 But his question, he's saying for most of history,
00:24:33.200 it's not been an insurmountable problem.
00:24:35.440 The problem is that it doesn't scale.
00:24:37.480 Western liberal society is a procedural.
00:24:39.140 They run on words as code. 0.92
00:24:40.220 They cannot take women seriously, but not literally,
00:24:42.460 which was a term we heard when Trump first sort of came out.
00:24:44.720 So he's saying at scale, the algorithms and the society can't distinguish that, okay,
00:24:51.620 we're not supposed to take this literally. He's saying this is a problem we're encountering here.
00:24:56.920 Then an interesting part is this. So yeah, it was the same point again, the feminine default 1.00
00:25:04.280 of affiliative communication sort of supportive rather than based on seeking truth is not the
00:25:08.800 problem. Women have been around forever, but it's intended for human relationships at human scale.
00:25:12.300 it's maladaptive to the hyperscaled atomized parasocial milieu of managerial societies 0.96
00:25:17.120 i mean almost every human behavior is right right yeah it says obviously male psychology is as well
00:25:22.540 but that's another yeah well yeah there we go yeah yeah and then here's a key paragraph i thought 0.96
00:25:26.260 was really good so women have never been more powerful in legible transactional terms but they 0.95
00:25:31.100 feel more powerless and alone than ever because the human personal world in which their power 1.00
00:25:34.960 has its natural expression no longer exists various political interpretations of those
00:25:39.260 feelings may be incoherent but the feelings themselves are real that's the cry for the help 1.00
00:25:43.680 at the core of this hysteria yeah that's that's true because i think what a lot of these women
00:25:47.820 are actually wanting are those kind of social support networks that their grandmothers would
00:25:54.900 have had right they would have gone down to the local coffee shop tea room whatever it is
00:25:58.180 had a tea you know the crying baby the other mothers are not oh no we'll take him for you
00:26:02.940 for you know we'll take him for a little walk or something like that so you can have an hour or two
00:26:06.000 on your own oh there we go like their lives are profoundly isolated and all normal people but
00:26:10.260 especially women ground their sense of life's meaning in a social context when they are asked 0.98
00:26:13.720 to do something difficult they need social scripts to tell them they're doing a good job and people
00:26:16.840 they care about are proud of them and it will all be worth it yes that's exactly yeah exactly 0.91
00:26:20.920 exactly and that's that's what these women are really missing and they're getting that from the 1.00
00:26:26.140 internet the best they can get right a simulacrum of that from the internet because when you're 1.00
00:26:31.180 alone in the suburbs trying to make ends meet on 1.75 incomes a baby can make those feelings of
00:26:34.920 isolation and drudgery more acute as a man is only a man who's told to provide a satisfying frame, 0.54
00:26:40.020 a world of two for women to inhabit. So there you go. And he sort of concludes, and obviously none 0.97
00:26:45.140 of this, as he said earlier, is to excuse the horror of what they're doing. It's to try and
00:26:48.900 explain though, why is it happening? Because we've seen it's happening at scale. And he kind of ends
00:26:52.880 up concluding nobody's winning here, which is the good news because you know, you can't just
00:26:56.840 no psych and winning when it's men versus women. But he says it means that you can want both men
00:27:01.660 and women to be much happier and to get much more of what they really want than they currently do
00:27:05.100 but it can't happen with our present technical political milieu so it's a bigger argument about
00:27:08.900 building human institutions and so on uh which which is sort of for another day but
00:27:13.560 you know but that's his conclusion and i've tried to give the overview of it it's a big article but
00:27:18.740 um it's a good article yeah it's a good article because you've got to wonder you know 300 women
00:27:22.320 protesting all these women on tiktok what is going on something's being not heard taken at face value
00:27:27.900 it's monstrous because they're supporting a murderer
00:27:29.540 but there seems to be some
00:27:30.760 It's not about Lindsay Clancy really
00:27:33.160 It's about their own cry for help
00:27:35.180 Alright
00:27:37.220 Lots of people have commented on this
00:27:39.840 Chris Benoit was just hormonal 1.00
00:27:41.760 My wife 0.60
00:27:43.820 is an avid wrestling 1.00
00:27:45.840 fan for some reason and she made me watch a documentary
00:27:48.020 Apparently he had loads
00:27:49.960 of brain damage
00:27:51.020 That's one argument
00:27:52.060 The guy had been taking steel chair shots
00:27:55.680 to the head for like 15 years
00:27:57.280 his brain was scrambled
00:27:58.560 his heart was enlarged
00:27:59.960 to the size of
00:28:00.840 two fists put together
00:28:02.940 he had dementia symptoms
00:28:05.520 akin to a 94 year old
00:28:07.540 and would have been dead
00:28:09.200 within the year anyway
00:28:10.300 it's just a tragedy
00:28:11.280 that he decided to take
00:28:12.320 his wife and kids out with him
00:28:13.660 yeah and some dispute the claim
00:28:15.640 yeah that is
00:28:16.180 that does seem to be the case
00:28:17.160 and there was another case
00:28:18.320 I can't remember the guys
00:28:19.160 I mean I don't think
00:28:19.460 there's any disputes
00:28:20.220 in the Chris Benoit
00:28:21.360 the documentary I watched
00:28:22.640 someone claim
00:28:23.520 but yeah there's always someone
00:28:24.600 but there's another case
00:28:26.020 is it Chris
00:28:26.800 Watts or something
00:28:27.980 there was another guy
00:28:28.440 that killed his family
00:28:29.800 and I saw a tweet saying
00:28:30.580 yeah there's no support
00:28:32.140 for that 1.00
00:28:32.520 just as that woman
00:28:33.540 in the video said
00:28:34.120 men never come out
00:28:35.180 and say
00:28:35.460 well hang on
00:28:36.840 he was angry
00:28:37.500 chemicals
00:28:38.200 do we ever see
00:28:40.140 any man he married
00:28:40.760 Benoit's a really rare case
00:28:42.460 where the damage
00:28:43.360 is so extreme
00:28:44.040 that some people
00:28:45.000 maybe have made that case
00:28:45.860 well here's where
00:28:46.700 I'm going to just like
00:28:47.360 argue back a little bit
00:28:48.600 about this article
00:28:49.780 and what you guys
00:28:50.840 are frankly simping
00:28:51.940 I don't think
00:28:53.440 what we're doing is
00:28:54.000 I'm just quickly
00:28:54.720 summarising the article
00:28:55.400 which is if you're
00:28:56.240 talking about the so the social dynamics here we were having a bit of a laugh uh not a laugh but 0.95
00:29:01.120 um i mentioned beforehand about how this would not be the reaction if she'd killed non-white 0.91
00:29:06.980 children this would not be the reaction he was maggot oh yeah this would not be the reaction if 1.00
00:29:12.440 she was maggot this would not be the reaction if she had kicked three puppies let alone killed them 0.97
00:29:18.700 so i think we also have to like these these women they're going oh it's super it's super hard i need
00:29:24.400 to get all my sympathy but they're also still recognizing what is still the majority culture
00:29:28.520 dynamics that are going on which is the social justice dynamic and frame that things are put
00:29:34.240 through to a certain extent you know there's in the same way that carmelo anthony killing a white
00:29:40.300 kid was celebrated by blacks uh there's probably plenty of people out there who are like yeah
00:29:45.220 left three less white kids out there perhaps it's baked into this perhaps it's baked into this
00:29:49.780 argument the the way they'll they'll try and gain social approval on mass is in a way that they know 0.58
00:29:55.460 will gain social approval so perhaps yeah you know that's baked so so i i i don't want to be quite so
00:30:02.280 charitable to these women i want to call it out for what it is in my eye which is mass hysteria
00:30:08.760 and frankly massive levels of narcissism from these women they can talk they can be you know
00:30:14.880 i understand social isolation i understand the framework that we're living in and the social 0.83
00:30:20.560 dynamics that we're living in are incredibly maladaptive uh but still if you off the back of
00:30:26.880 that have the urge to film yourself screaming and smashing ice cubes in the bathtub or clutching 0.99
00:30:33.440 your child whilst sympathizing with a woman who killed her own children sorry you are psychotic 1.00
00:30:40.080 actually you are suffering from levels of narcissism that make you unfit for society 0.98
00:30:45.740 but his argument hang on we'll save it for wednesday because this is going to go on if we
00:30:49.580 don't yeah um right let's let's move on shall we because i can feel this becoming a big
00:30:56.420 big conversation yeah yeah we'll we'll have the argument on wednesday no no we we will because
00:31:01.520 it's actually there is loads to talk about there's loads in what you've just said there
00:31:04.660 yeah i was gonna say that's perpetuating the outrage cycle that he acknowledges at the start
00:31:07.840 that's the problem i'm not here on wednesday so i'm getting it in now that's that's your
00:31:14.240 and another thing that's your fault anyway right let's move on so um have fun going on holiday to
00:31:20.040 the countryside folks uh it has been diversified like everything else by government fiat the
00:31:26.780 government is taking the countryside away from us using mass immigration i am my home as well
00:31:33.580 the original title of this thing was the lakes and i thought oh no this is gonna be about my home
00:31:37.160 i've been back recently and it is it's horrible yeah my my wife is currently on holiday in
00:31:42.400 somewhere i'm not gonna say where um and she's you know she takes the kids to go visit her
00:31:46.980 grandparents and she's like yeah we're staying on a camper van park it's okay great have fun 0.80
00:31:51.900 it's full of immigrants she's the first thing i hate you introduce immigrants to camper van parks 1.00
00:31:56.760 i don't know like why would they be there feels like a very natural setting for them yeah anyway 1.00
00:32:01.480 before we begin get your copy of islander before it is gone forever and then we're going to talk
00:32:05.680 about the government's diversity drive to make britain's countryside less white we've been
00:32:11.500 planning this for years this goes back this goes back to the tories this is um this is literally
00:32:16.240 jenkelstein's sister isn't it this one's from february this year um but this is just a bomb
00:32:22.240 i'm just going to quote from it verbatim uh i'm sure we covered it at the time as well but just
00:32:26.080 every time i read this there's a kind of like you know if we're getting intrusive thoughts
00:32:30.440 i'm getting some intrusive thoughts right um the british countryside will be made a less white 0.97
00:32:35.220 environment under nationwide diversity plans thanks kia officials in rural areas including
00:32:39.640 the chiltons and cotswolds have pledged to attract more minorities under plans drawn up for the
00:32:44.580 department for environment food and rural affairs this is called defra in shorthand the plans
00:32:49.820 followed defra commissioned reports that claim the countryside would become irrelevant in a
00:32:53.920 multicultural society as it was a white environment practically enjoyed by the white principally
00:32:58.700 enjoyed by the white middle class now isn't that amazing isn't that amazing like oh you will not 0.56
00:33:03.800 be recognized by the government if you are not diverse you'll become irrelevant therefore we 1.00
00:33:10.700 have to get some immigrants in there so we notice you i mean like okay first thing i don't want you
00:33:16.380 to notice me i want you to leave me alone right i don't want the government's eye of sauron down
00:33:20.900 on where i live or you know in the cotswolds or the countryside or wherever it is right
00:33:24.180 i don't want that but secondly the only valid thing that the government cares about is when
00:33:28.800 there are diversity there that's horrific isn't this meant to be our government yeah i just call
00:33:33.300 it ethnic cleansing of my people because i'm from the lakes my family from rural lancashire and 1.00
00:33:37.320 rural lancashire i just say yeah you're trying to cleanse our people out of our natural home
00:33:41.580 yes straightforward ethnic cleansing and lord fingerstein's sister was one of the people
00:33:45.420 involved in it it's yes why is it not ethnic cleansing i'm yet to understand but why why
00:33:51.120 ethnic cleansing doesn't happen when it's happening to white people that's it doesn't count
00:33:55.220 the the the admission here is just so stark and staggering so you'll become irrelevant 0.93
00:34:00.460 because you're a white environment
00:34:02.240 and we don't govern white environments.
00:34:05.080 We, the British government, 0.52
00:34:06.200 don't have anything to do with that.
00:34:07.960 We only have anything to do with diversity.
00:34:09.880 So for us to have a claim
00:34:11.260 over the sovereignty and dominion of this area, 1.00
00:34:14.240 we have to put some bloody immigrants there. 1.00
00:34:16.420 It's disgraceful. 1.00
00:34:17.480 It also feels a little bit like the civil service
00:34:19.500 trying to force everybody else to live like they do. 1.00
00:34:23.080 Listen, I have to live in multicultural asshole London. 1.00
00:34:26.740 So you in the rural countryside 1.00
00:34:28.800 that enjoys peace and quiet, 1.00
00:34:30.220 you have to as well it's always amazing to say when it's white people you know i always think 0.62
00:34:34.120 about the the sentinelese on north central island you're not allowed to leave a can of coke there 0.94
00:34:39.240 yeah because you want to protect them at all costs and they can shoot you with arrows if you go too 1.00
00:34:43.200 near but it's like i just want that border policy but yeah a little a little hobbit like people in 1.00
00:34:48.840 the english countryside oh yeah we want to cleanse them out of the area or change it forever they're 0.93
00:34:52.860 irrelevant because they don't have diversity i hate it anyway the national landscapes uh
00:34:57.200 organization previously called the areas of outstanding natural beauty uh to commit to a
00:35:02.760 number of diversity targets the chiltern's national landscape team a set of proposals
00:35:06.340 that include community outreach schemes to attract more muslims to the area particularly
00:35:10.000 from nearby luton oh brilliant more diverse staff will be recruited marketing material will be
00:35:15.000 produced featuring people from visibly ethnic minorities written in community languages
00:35:20.240 researchers also been commissioned to support this work much some of which suggests that dogs 0.85
00:35:25.160 should be kept under tighter control as some groups are scared of them right so you can't go 1.00
00:35:29.520 walk your dogs in the countryside because you might run into a terrified muslim yeah i saw that 1.00
00:35:34.080 on gb news at the time and it's sort of former labor advisable moments trying to justify it 0.98
00:35:37.980 completely insane malvin hills national landscape said in their proposals many minority peoples have
00:35:43.840 no connection to nature in the uk because their parents and grandparents did not feel safe enough
00:35:47.480 to take them or they had other survival preoccupations they're just not from here yeah
00:35:51.960 they didn't like it or they lived elsewhere i mean you know so what not everyone has to live
00:35:55.700 everywhere not everyone has to be into hiking well this is the worst part well one of the worst
00:35:59.680 no it's all terrible right it added while most white english users value the solitude and
00:36:05.040 contemplative active activities which the countrysides afford the tendency for ethnic
00:36:10.280 minority peoples is to prefer social company family friends and schools as in they're going 1.00
00:36:15.180 to come and be loud you want to go for a nice quiet walk right enjoy your own thoughts they're 1.00
00:36:19.240 going to be very loud and obnoxious one thing i noticed when i last went back to lakes a certain
00:36:24.380 group of people playing loud music you know i've never heard it before out loud when i grew up i'd
00:36:30.560 never seen it once and the same place i always walk i was like wow i've never seen that before
00:36:34.560 the other thing unfortunately is tiktok which means place like ride or caves which used to be
00:36:38.960 my backyard and now just constantly have people because they're constantly because they've seen
00:36:43.960 it on tiktok well that's the other side and that's technology there's the character of the videos
00:36:47.600 that they post as well because i see them where they'll post these videos of them going around
00:36:52.000 listening to music in these lovely quiet countryside environments and they are actually
00:36:57.940 boasting in the videos about how we're going to show these crackers how we do it our style and
00:37:03.940 they are going around with bluetooth speakers blasting loud annoying music they're actively
00:37:08.920 doing it because they know it's annoying us because they enjoy annoying us and ruining what
00:37:13.480 we like and that's with the government's plan yes the government knows that loud noise destroys
00:37:19.900 contemplative peace and this is a deliberate part of the plan right it's obviously jarring
00:37:25.320 aesthetically it's terrific like i'm in the countryside and i'm hearing like loud urban
00:37:29.660 noise so i i think legally you should be permitted to smash bluetooth speakers of anybody doing that
00:37:34.940 i thought you're gonna say you should be able to shoot them like like other pharma i wasn't
00:37:37.880 going to let's let's hold the intrusive thoughts back from yeah because the reviews are in
00:37:43.420 right this was back in february but now the reviews are in right basil's collected a series
00:37:48.200 of them about the uh the dovedale stepping stones in the peak district well that's the place that i
00:37:53.460 went to the stepping stones yeah when i went there in 2021 or yeah it was beautiful wasn't it no it
00:37:59.960 was already full of indians and pakistanis one of there were a bunch of pakistanis or indians
00:38:05.880 um at the other side of the stream to where i was with an open barbecue roasting sheep 0.99
00:38:13.140 jesus christ it was pretty horrifying and otherwise it was already overrun by immigrants 0.91
00:38:19.780 one talking about 2021 so this was probably like when the boris wave first rolled in mental let's 1.00
00:38:25.500 read some of these reviews one star absolute carnage here all respect for the countryside
00:38:29.920 is lost at dovedale stepping stones so just just a quick thing right i remember being in school
00:38:34.420 and being taught in school the countryside code right and that was always you pick up your litter
00:38:40.180 you make sure all the gates are closed you don't go near the animals you don't you know provoke the
00:38:44.420 animals you don't cause any trouble and you try and just be quiet and polite and respectful to
00:38:47.940 the people you see yeah well i'm from the country so it was always if you let your dog off the lead
00:38:51.640 here the farmer can shoot him we always knew that because he can get the sheep shut this gate or the
00:38:57.020 sheep will get in the wrong place yeah another thing started happening they started leaving
00:39:00.180 sheep carcasses on the fells you know why the government used to give farmers five quid to
00:39:04.500 remove them they stopped doing that they just see dead sheep everywhere because the government's
00:39:08.200 cheaper but there's all these things you understand if you're from the country sheep are on the road
00:39:11.760 every day when i'm where i live some some guy came knocked on our door and tried to tell my dad
00:39:15.720 there's sheep on the road he's like yeah there's sheep on the road every day yeah that's what the
00:39:20.640 country is so yeah all those things yeah yeah they're all gone the point is school children
00:39:24.880 across the country who taught the countryside code so everyone took care of the countryside
00:39:28.460 and it gave everyone not only the same standards but it made us feel like we had a sense of
00:39:33.040 possession over oh this is our countryside so keep it nice and tidy and you're like yeah no i
00:39:37.200 would like to do that because i'd like to enjoy it but anyway let's carry on um the the national
00:39:42.020 trust are clearly happy to turn a blind eye and not address anything as long as it means profitable
00:39:45.500 car park and busy coffee snack van the main car park is chaos uh huge family religious groups
00:39:50.900 crossing the stepping stones carrying half the contents of their kitchens and big cool boxes 0.72
00:39:54.640 curry pots tents gazebos push chairs disabled disabled relatives blah blah blah you can be
00:40:00.620 waiting 20 minutes to cross okay my nine-year-old daughter constantly caught the eye of many of
00:40:07.000 these men in these groups often repositioning themselves to the banks of the water where
00:40:11.320 they were in touching distance in anticipation of her walking past jesus okay okay the next one 0.67
00:40:19.880 uh couldn't get near the stepping stones full of aggressive asian and middle eastern men with a 1.00
00:40:24.040 smattering of some fully covered up females wearing the full niqab group staring at my wife 0.99
00:40:28.140 and passing comments in foreign languages as we walked by one even blew in her ear as we tried 0.51
00:40:33.160 to get past them there was a group praying and rubbish everywhere a hostile atmosphere i really 0.59
00:40:38.500 felt like it was in a third world marketplace i wouldn't recommend it and we'll never be going
00:40:42.160 back these reviews man it's brutal it disgusting illegal dumping or barbecue picnic litter by 0.56
00:40:50.160 a mass of people who simply don't care if you enjoy visiting a mumbai slum in the heart of
00:40:54.060 the peat district this place is for you highlights include 126 plastic bottles 29 bin bags full of
00:40:59.540 food or general food waste 18 disposable barbecues cooler boxes whatever sandals jewel sandals
00:41:05.240 chicken bones and a wide range of empty beer and drinks soft drink cans wonderful makes me proud
00:41:10.300 to come from derbyshire and share our countryside with other cultures another one oh aggression
00:41:14.960 against dogs uh such a shame rubbish everywhere no respect for the wildlife aggression against
00:41:19.720 dogs people walking around with kitchen knives even though it's illegal and very scary to carry 0.99
00:41:24.280 for children the elderly this is mental i mean you take the dirtiest country with the you know 0.65
00:41:30.020 we've all seen the litter and the disgusting things in india it's just how it is you bring 1.00
00:41:33.760 it here and as you say you don't impose your own culture at all you don't say well you can't do
00:41:37.840 that here because it's english countryside so of course you're gonna get this i mean how else 0.79
00:41:41.520 could it go yeah i mean that full of bad mannered people gangs of foreign men who stared at my 12
00:41:47.440 year old granddaughter one of whom thought it was okay to put his hands on her while she was
00:41:51.040 crossing the stepping stones trying to get parts uh back to the car park pushing her telling her
00:41:55.280 to hurry up like man this is mental it is interesting how if you don't create a hostile
00:42:00.740 environment for them they create a hostile environment for you because i'm trying to i'm
00:42:05.540 trying to think of like how this could be solved and it would basically if we're not just going to
00:42:11.100 send them back it would be finding a way to create a hostile environment for them again
00:42:15.340 if the national trust aren't going to enforce the rules it would really need to be informal gangs of
00:42:21.420 lads going around and very politely approaching firmly but very firmly approaching all of these
00:42:29.140 people i'm talking like a dozen to 20 lads at a time on patrol going around and if they see
00:42:35.160 somebody drop something just they all approach and they go excuse me pick that up please 1.00
00:42:38.460 a bit like the bloke on the dry stone wall video where the guy's destroying the idiots destroying 0.99
00:42:43.540 the dry stone wall 1.00
00:42:44.480 he can't figure out
00:42:45.440 how to go around
00:42:45.960 then a guy goes on
00:42:46.660 in the car and says
00:42:47.300 what are you doing 1.00
00:42:48.060 idiot 1.00
00:42:48.520 that one 1.00
00:42:49.480 yeah
00:42:49.900 on mass you'll say
00:42:51.020 but the other thing
00:42:51.660 about it Harry
00:42:52.260 like you say
00:42:53.040 you need the informal
00:42:53.820 network so that
00:42:54.580 if this becomes
00:42:55.340 a consistent enough
00:42:56.240 thing they either
00:42:56.980 they either submit
00:42:58.140 or they stop coming
00:42:59.300 yeah and the other
00:42:59.840 thing though
00:43:00.160 you're not even saying
00:43:00.760 is it's not just
00:43:01.460 that they make
00:43:02.960 it hostile for us
00:43:03.540 implying it's sort of
00:43:04.680 equal
00:43:04.960 the lowest common
00:43:06.140 denominator always wins
00:43:07.180 for example
00:43:07.880 loud music
00:43:08.760 whether it's in the
00:43:09.340 countryside on a train
00:43:10.200 always beats quiet
00:43:11.520 so that's the problem
00:43:12.340 with the world
00:43:13.040 you know 0.97
00:43:13.280 the lowest stupider thing always wins unless we try and aspire to be better right but anyway we'll 0.98
00:43:19.760 just go through a few more again stay away everywhere sticks of bio roll-ups or weed 0.95
00:43:24.820 no one's showing any respect for nature other people or their environment feels like blackpool
00:43:29.080 in the peak district it's just mad like these are just insane shocking avoid did not feel safe as a
00:43:36.080 solo female hiker well that's because you weren't safe obviously uh i thought the other reviews
00:43:40.860 might have been exaggerated but they are not i was very intimidated and overwhelmed by the people 0.96
00:43:44.440 that were dominating the place crowded with litter everywhere river polluted by ignorant visitors
00:43:48.680 using it as some kind of washing station no care for the impact on wildlife shocking and disturbing
00:43:53.180 will not be returning just mad maybe we should rewild it's just introduce some of the walls
00:44:00.120 yeah yeah like again just there's just some guy carrying a carpet down there all sort of nonsense
00:44:07.160 uh poo on the walls as in just i just what nappies left lying around poo on the walls 0.96
00:44:13.580 absolutely stank in the toilets which is great uh men washing prayer mats in the river of course 0.96
00:44:21.080 they were um stay away that these stepping stones are a place to go to the government told them yeah 1.00
00:44:27.680 but literally the government literally went to these these communities and said hey we will take
00:44:36.680 you to somewhere where you can make it disgusting and it's how brilliant just brilliant as an it's
00:44:42.380 hard to see you know other than as an assault on us basically yes it's the deliberate assault
00:44:47.120 because otherwise we become irrelevant uh again this is just another horrific one stay away
00:44:52.340 just stay away like avoid at all costs my daughter and i were looking forward to visiting the stone
00:44:57.540 time but with a shock full of non-english speaking people mostly young men on monday evening large
00:45:02.880 groups were by the stones uh also camped further along the river one proceeded to urinate in the
00:45:06.680 river without thought that we were there the obvious absurdity of this of course is that
00:45:11.420 they're sort of reviewing the place but they're not really reviewing that they're reviewing
00:45:15.020 immigration policy yes because it's not the place is it that's the same like one star the place
00:45:20.220 itself is beautiful yeah uh yeah was beautiful you can see underneath the grime and the dirt 0.64
00:45:26.940 of what they've done there oh yeah here you go yeah this is this is i can make that can we put
00:45:33.540 so it's just right yeah just brilliant that is not what i want english holiday destination
00:45:43.040 yeah exactly what's the difference between this and the ganges genuinely
00:45:46.980 this is not what i want they've had to put up the no barbecues this is actually way worse than when 1.00
00:45:53.480 i went there i thought it was bad and overcrowded before and also full of foreigners this is way 1.00
00:45:59.620 worse yeah look at the one english family there yeah it's not quite that bad in the lakes yet but 1.00
00:46:04.060 it will get there now it's so heartbreaking to go back yeah so anyway just terrible again just 0.99
00:46:10.560 there are loads of videos of this because it's just like you know my god you know what is
00:46:14.560 happening here well the government the government is making this happen the government is literally
00:46:18.440 doing this like this is dirtledore beach in dorset which again if it play which is not for
00:46:24.460 some reason but you'll see it's exactly the same thing just on a beach in dorset um here we have
00:46:29.320 dirtledore again which is just you know i think i think swarms is the right word i can get that 0.96
00:46:35.660 to play properly um yeah it's just it's just the government is like yeah foreigners why don't you 0.97
00:46:41.160 go to the beaches you don't have to stay in the cities it's like no i i really object to all of
00:46:45.760 when they've given up on having a culture it's it's those signs you know do not rape
00:46:51.100 signs no barbecues like we've given up on actually trying to preserve our culture but
00:46:55.520 all we'll have to do now is put up a sign while we become the third world well i mean
00:46:59.000 andy burnham may have said no barbecues but they don't care this is the kind of
00:47:02.660 the exact signs don't work i saw yeah they don't care
00:47:05.800 you know film themselves for tiktok or whatever having yeah we're just i think this should be 0.97
00:47:13.820 immediate deportation yeah absolutely it's a black banger insane isn't it just looking at a domestic 1.00
00:47:19.020 barbecue on a hillside it's like what are you doing i can't stand it and then it'll make the 0.98
00:47:25.420 place it'll make the place stink yeah yeah yeah this guy doesn't understand what dry stone wall
00:47:29.900 is it's like these are they take a while to make they're made what are you smashing the wall down
00:47:38.620 what are you smashing the wall up for why are you smashing the wall down 0.98
00:47:43.820 it's not your fucking wall it's not your fucking wall i've just watched you chucking bricks trying 0.99
00:47:52.500 to smash the fucking wall down i don't care it's not your wall guys you can feel that guy getting 1.00
00:48:00.580 some intrusive thoughts can't you well the rage because yeah it's probably a beautiful thing they 1.00
00:48:05.760 take a while to make there's an art to them and they look lovely destruction of it and the stupidity 0.79
00:48:11.620 of it he's like you can go around it's just like yeah it's infuriating it's absolutely why is it 0.91
00:48:17.760 what what he thought that this was this wasn't just wanton destruction he thought i'll get
00:48:21.860 kind of get through there yeah climb over it i know you can't even think of that it's that's
00:48:26.440 what we're dealing with just the idea that i mean it's so much more effort to destroy thing than
00:48:29.820 just climb over anyway but b as you say dry stone was like you can tell that there is obviously an
00:48:34.240 art to building this which why hasn't collapsed with all of this stuff that he's taken out
00:48:38.020 and there's a thing you pick up a stone you're meant to try and place it somewhere without
00:48:41.240 putting it down again there's a whole right right to it and a whole art to it yeah he doesn't care
00:48:45.560 he'll build a fire with your own door mate you know and so and just mental and i mean like you
00:48:52.120 know oh yeah you see all the stuff they bring which will turn up like look at that gorgeous
00:48:57.640 place they're just gonna leave all of that as rubbish look at them in their cheap track suits 0.71
00:49:01.280 as well yeah they're just gonna leave all of that as rubbish and they're definitely not drug dealer 0.82
00:49:04.940 cars yeah absolutely not harry absolutely not they run uh very respectable turkish barbers
00:49:11.300 i'm sure um but yeah so the national trust are the ones doing it like the national trust
00:49:16.420 i'm harun mota founder of muslim hikers and active inclusion network the largest community in the
00:49:23.420 world for muslims interested in the outdoors this weekend we've been in the peak district national
00:49:29.640 park we're here at island park a beautiful national trust estate so the point is it's the
00:49:36.760 ngos it's the charities it's the government all organizing this spending your money to organize
00:49:41.980 this by the way and taking ramadan walks and all this sort of stuff and there was this video the
00:49:46.860 other day this was from the lake district where a bunch of muslims saw a dog so they started
00:49:53.300 throwing rocks at it just like oh my god i would have gone in spare man is this real i don't know
00:50:01.680 but i i don't know so it was going around but anyway the point is the guardian are very happy
00:50:06.640 right the the absolute obvious traitors at the guardian were very happy with this walking the
00:50:12.880 peak district i discovered a wonderful rejection of the rights monotone vision of england so john 0.97
00:50:17.920 harris went to the peaches was it oh wow thank god the government have put all of these foreigners
00:50:23.100 here because i hated it otherwise well he's uh in a total state of ideology he'll say we are but
00:50:28.760 i don't think so oh he is absolutely is by the way and the the sort of friendly face of it the
00:50:33.280 muslim guy we saw in a couple of videos back yeah if it was that right respectful muslims like it
00:50:38.280 wouldn't be a problem it wouldn't be a problem because they'd be they would be doing what
00:50:40.600 everyone's doing but they're not yeah but the i love i love this this paragraph right this is
00:50:46.080 amazing this next bit might sound self-parodically guardian-esque but what the hell in its own way
00:50:53.040 the most striking sight was the diversity of the scores of people rambling up and down along women 0.75
00:50:58.940 in their 20s wearing jabs picnicked on the giant rocks while multi-racial gaggles of young men
00:51:04.120 attempted to race the top solo and shirtless white fitness freaks and retirement age dog walkers 0.52
00:51:09.220 took their places alongside them with plenty of justification country walking has long been 0.78
00:51:14.320 typified as one of the most monoculturally white pursuits there are yeah well all it took was for
00:51:18.920 the government to pay people to get that also this guy he says he's visiting he's not from there as
00:51:24.460 well this is no he's my home i mean even though i live in london as an economic migrant i always
00:51:29.260 think of the lake still as my home my parents still live in the house i grew up in and you go
00:51:33.300 like you're some city person coming there and say wasn't it great the country's been ruined
00:51:37.700 yeah but then well the reason sorry go on just i find so this carries on a tradition started at
00:51:45.520 the nearby kinder scout in 1932 led by the jewish anti-fascist benny rothman the protest in which
00:51:52.020 hundreds of men and women defied the law to walk on privately owned derbyshire hills and moorland
00:51:57.960 so here we can trade i don't think it does to be honest it's completely different that's doing
00:52:00.840 trespassing and ramblers that's completely different here we can trace the beginning of
00:52:05.720 the end for the quiet peaceful countryside yeah but even though that's even that was the rambling
00:52:10.760 the rambling movement were people who loved walking and they said why shouldn't we be able
00:52:13.580 to walk on this land it's like no we own this land and even in the lakes there's sympathy for
00:52:17.480 the the rambling movement it's that's that's not what this is that's not what this is at all sadly
00:52:21.720 i i can i can only see that now as the first domino that's led to where we are right now
00:52:28.360 the whole the whole point um is his complaints about the right though the right uh somewhere in
00:52:33.760 the heart of every nativist lurks darkly romanticized visions of the british landscape
00:52:37.320 it's not somewhere it's right at the front so they're just they're just doing it to
00:52:41.080 to spoil it for us that's it he literally says this he literally says um like whereabouts he
00:52:48.600 says uh about the toxified uh british countryside there we go the uk's rural expanses can be as
00:52:54.920 toxified and contested as any other aspect of our national life without wanting to sound too
00:52:59.280 dour walking is meant to be fun after all oh yeah this has made it way more fun bro we all need to
00:53:04.020 actively promote the idea that the countryside belongs to all of us as in it belongs to the 1.00
00:53:09.020 foreigners they've brought here against our will don't agree johnny don't agree you know i saw
00:53:13.560 and to do so is to deprive the assortment of opportunists and hate mongers who span the hard
00:53:18.380 and far right of any idea that the british landscape and its romance mythology might be
00:53:22.880 theirs to monopolize the thing is it's not the right look at all those reviewers are they the
00:53:26.980 right they are now they're normal people the people where i'm from they obviously they don't
00:53:31.240 love the countryside being ruined that's their home yep it's like are they the right no most
00:53:35.720 them are actually borderline lib dems a lot of the time but the right is mostly normal people as
00:53:39.560 well yeah exactly normal people have got political sorry yeah exactly it's the same thing from but
00:53:44.840 yes it's the evil right and it's normal people but no it's that's that's why this is my ideology
00:53:50.700 it's good because it rubs it in your face and your face that's why it's a big f you from the
00:53:55.880 guardian that's the only reason they want this to happen it's like ruin everything to spite you
00:53:59.840 it's not just spiting us it's also i saw um i saw some information coming up about some kind of
00:54:06.460 study was looking into it and it was like one of those things that's obviously common sense but
00:54:10.540 uh the scientific evidence backing it now was that there was uh studies done into the effects
00:54:15.680 of like basically noise on people when they're in an environment they're expecting to to get some
00:54:22.120 peace and quiet be able to be with their own thoughts and so and for basically like european
00:54:26.920 people it was akin to psychologically torturing them living in some kind of third world loud 1.00
00:54:34.360 screeching environment where you've got these these idiots wandering around with their bluetooth 1.00
00:54:39.140 speakers blasting the worst music you've ever heard in your life it's basically psychological 1.00
00:54:44.200 torture to us we're being told we have to have total sympathy for someone who finds their children
00:54:48.700 too much but isn't that the same sort of thing we have to have like we're dealing with constant
00:54:52.440 noise and irritation
00:54:53.380 aren't we suffering
00:54:55.420 aren't we suffering
00:54:56.320 yeah
00:54:56.640 Ed Davey agrees
00:54:58.160 well he wants fines
00:54:59.540 I am suffering frankly
00:55:01.220 when the office is too loud
00:55:02.760 and I'm trying to get work done
00:55:03.960 I feel like
00:55:04.860 jumping out of the window
00:55:06.480 you can't
00:55:07.100 you can't do deep work
00:55:08.080 I used to have that
00:55:08.980 in a small office
00:55:09.520 I had to go to like a cafe
00:55:10.680 and you can't do deep work
00:55:12.880 in those environments
00:55:13.460 you can't
00:55:13.960 but yeah you can't
00:55:14.880 function on a train
00:55:15.820 or in the country
00:55:16.100 you can't just relax
00:55:17.000 if you're walking
00:55:17.640 through the countryside
00:55:18.320 just looking around
00:55:19.720 and listening to the birdsong
00:55:20.840 and then bluetooth speakers
00:55:22.280 crying out like ramadan music or whatever just oh my god this is what i mean like harrowing
00:55:28.300 again as far as i'm concerned you need organized networks of good lads going around to those
00:55:35.460 people and saying can you turn that off please please pick good lads that's their name is all
00:55:39.900 the good lads yeah the good lads the good lads initiative what about something like that yeah
00:55:45.300 yeah who are they well it's a bunch of good lads can do the right thing anyway uh we'll leave that
00:55:51.200 there um oksio points out that the king does have a large palace with a bunch of empty rooms
00:55:56.160 uh the thing is these people aren't homeless they're just intrusive and i don't want them
00:56:00.720 in my countryside like and as a part of my own spiritual well-being is damaged when i see these
00:56:06.580 videos of them for me it's my home and it's almost it's almost less painful just being
00:56:10.800 yes everyone's home but it's the thing like the english view the countryside as an extension of
00:56:16.400 our own background fair enough fair enough that's my little home where you're sure when i'm in
00:56:20.420 it's almost like i'd rather just live in the squalor of london rather than go back and see
00:56:23.340 that they've done it to my own it's like going to the shire and finding sharkies there yes it is
00:56:27.680 sharky and his men yeah in fact that's a great lead in for my article on islander uh that's
00:56:33.960 literally what my islander article is about is the scouring of the shire a man after after just
00:56:38.220 watching that i just the great thing about scouring of the shire is they dealt with it so easily once 0.96
00:56:43.260 they'd toughen up and been on their adventures like two sharkies who's this idiot yeah even 0.99
00:56:47.940 that turned out to be Saruman 1.00
00:56:48.800 is like they dealt with him 0.99
00:56:49.700 and I was like
00:56:50.020 no you can't deal with Sharky
00:56:51.160 he's really tough
00:56:51.900 and like
00:56:52.220 is he?
00:56:53.440 Because that's the position
00:56:54.600 we're basically collectively in now
00:56:56.140 we're like oh no
00:56:56.640 we can't do anything
00:56:57.240 Right
00:56:57.720 Didn't we deal with
00:56:59.420 much bigger things before?
00:57:00.580 Exactly
00:57:00.980 you know
00:57:01.420 we are holding ourselves down
00:57:03.880 anyway let's carry on
00:57:05.120 Yeah so
00:57:05.960 by Islander 6
00:57:07.480 like Carl said
00:57:08.380 you can check out
00:57:09.520 his scouring of the Shire article
00:57:10.920 I'm very proud of it
00:57:11.780 along with a load
00:57:12.480 of other great articles
00:57:13.300 it's only available for sale
00:57:14.540 for two more days
00:57:16.060 so any copies
00:57:17.560 that go unsold i'm hoarding for myself i'll be keeping them in my attic to accrue value and then
00:57:23.300 i'll be selling and then i'll be selling them back to you as an enormous markup i'm gonna get 0.99
00:57:29.060 rich like a fat pig off of your stupidity and i've got a few so i'll be undercutting harry just 1.00
00:57:34.860 slightly harry the scalper that's right you scab we're in this together this is cartel behavior 1.00
00:57:41.000 you nick come on we're going to back each other up uh yeah 14.99 whilst stocks last so
00:57:47.740 i've been very depressed by these past two segments it's been terrible same i'm trying
00:57:53.520 to think what could what could cheer me up what could get me back into a jovial jolly mood and i
00:57:59.680 think to myself i look over at nick and i think a good laugh you know a good laugh someone to give
00:58:05.820 me a bit of a hoo hoo hee hee ha ha make me smile and who better than to do that than the
00:58:12.260 incredibly timely announcement that sasha baron cohen himself has his finger on the pulse of
00:58:19.520 culture and has decided to bring back ali g god are you are you ready for this have you seen this
00:58:27.900 folks because i'm going to show it to you this is the short little announcement that he put before
00:58:32.020 the trailer dropped the day after you ready before we watch this right so me and nick are old enough
00:58:36.760 to remember yes yes we're old enough to remember when ali g originally came out right and it was
00:58:42.780 i found it cringe i mean we didn't even call things cringe back in the 90s but i hated it
00:58:47.780 back in the 90s i hated i was perturbed by it that's like we had different language then
00:58:51.740 we were perturbed by this imposition oh no for me it went way further than that i i active dislike
00:58:58.300 no i'm just saying when you say you have language like cringe i think we had like victorian language
00:59:01.760 no of course when it came out yeah it was massive it was massive and it was big at school and things
00:59:05.940 well maybe it was university i can't quite remember but it was that kind of era yeah it was
00:59:09.000 and then borat was probably funnier but yeah it was as big as you could be i'm sensing a lack of
00:59:15.780 enthusiasm already well what yeah but what what what this represented is the germination of the
00:59:21.800 roadman culture of the underclass sort of culture in britain and this was essentially a way of kind
00:59:27.900 of normalizing and promoting it and even chav no no he noticed that well he was a one of white
00:59:34.480 chavs came a bit later class kids had taken on the sort of patois basically david starkey got
00:59:39.160 canceled for saying yes yeah yeah yeah exactly and even i think it was probably i was probably
00:59:43.540 1718 or something when this first came out even then i was like no i hate this accent i hate this
00:59:48.700 kind of culture and i don't think this should be on tv right even back then when i was you know
00:59:52.620 just a kid uh i i despised ali g so yeah let's let's watch the video let's see if your opinion
00:59:59.380 changes after this announcement yo this be ali g booyakasha from the mean streets of stains
01:00:07.860 ponder thames mig's got a big announcement yo dj drop the beat
01:00:13.000 Yeah, that was pretty good, wasn't it?
01:00:43.000 so actually i will say to be fair that was rubbish but when ali g first came out it was quite funny
01:00:50.300 some of the interviews he did to just counter carl i think lots of people did probably find it funny
01:00:55.900 this wasn't though i'm not saying lots of people didn't oh you're saying you were always the same
01:00:59.740 i just hated this yeah i just hated i never i never watched ali g i know what ali g was i've
01:01:06.700 seen maybe one or two clips of him uh doing those interviews and i watched them and i think
01:01:11.560 i'm not getting this but you know like i can understand how it's quite new you know hardly
01:01:17.100 anyone had done that kind of thing maybe at the time it would have been newer chris morris was
01:01:21.200 way better way better yeah but how many people had really interviewed you know real people i
01:01:25.200 watched i watched borat when it when i was like a young teenager because oh it's transgressive
01:01:31.780 and naughty and he does silly transgressive things so you know so i found it funny at the
01:01:36.520 time i go back and i go it's got some moments but i've never been like a huge sasha baron cohen
01:01:42.680 fan and i am i imagine he was hoping for a little bit of a better response than what he's got this
01:01:49.100 was probably supposed to be like a return of the king moment for him everything's going wrong
01:01:54.460 everybody hates where the world is right now i'm gonna come back and put a smile on everybody's
01:02:00.460 faces and everybody hated that so you could just see the replies and they hate it in a way that
01:02:09.100 you may not expect how people reacted may surprise you before we go on right so the can we just go
01:02:16.460 back up to him right so there's something i have to keep looking yes because when he was young
01:02:20.980 he looked like one of these young sort of like i guess we'll just call them road men right they
01:02:27.240 weren't chavs chavs were white right and well he's supposed to be well there's a word beginning
01:02:31.800 with w that they perhaps could be called yes but chavs were white right um but this was representing
01:02:37.560 the kind of i mean there's a reason there's a jamaican flag in the background there right
01:02:40.960 that it was representing this kind of urban ethnic youth right uh and so this always had
01:02:47.880 the aspect of a kind of white face or black face whatever you know you want to call it where he
01:02:52.320 he would literally sit and it would be part of the comedy show where he would get like someone
01:02:57.640 uh unsuspecting in fact he does one at one point with jacob reese mog yeah that's that's the clip
01:03:03.680 that i've seen yeah it's mainly just jacob reese mog being incredibly confused well exactly because
01:03:09.340 they would normally be expecting this kind of language from a black guy but it's coming out
01:03:14.020 of a guy who is obviously not black but they have to kind of play along and pretend like he's black
01:03:18.560 because at the time this kind of culture was very localized in the black community it was before
01:03:22.880 david starkey got cancelled for observing that it spread out into the wider population right
01:03:27.940 um and so this has this distinct sense of anachronism about it it was based on why because
01:03:36.180 the famous catchphrase is it because i is black and the whole thing is that he's not really but
01:03:39.700 he thinks he is so it was about white people taking on that yeah yeah yeah yeah that came
01:03:44.300 yeah but that was the point because he normally it would this language this accent this attitude
01:03:50.400 would be a black guy from like london or wherever right and so they would say well is it because i
01:03:55.680 is black and the person no no no of course not but the joke is him doing it pretending essentially
01:04:01.260 to be black and the the person that have to be like right i can't say yeah you can argue it's 0.96
01:04:05.280 a satire on you know white people trying to steal black culture like music you could also argue it's 1.00
01:04:09.740 a bit dodgy because he's really saying like they've taken on a kind of stupid way of talking 0.99
01:04:13.600 from that you could argue he's more racist than david starkey's point if you absolutely and what 0.99
01:04:17.540 he's daring the person to do is say you're not black right because he identifies as black that's
01:04:23.320 the thing about this attitude right he identifies about and so no one was ever like oh you're not
01:04:27.660 black they were always like racial dollars yeah yeah exactly it was never like oh you're not black
01:04:31.540 it was always like no no i wouldn't discriminate well the trump just walk out pretty quickly when 0.85
01:04:35.360 he did the trump one i think so yeah he saw right through it but yeah yeah yeah trump did see right
01:04:39.480 through it but the point is this this doesn't make any sense after the like success of this
01:04:44.920 culture like now like i i i go to london and i hear white guys talking like this all the time
01:04:50.380 unironically just completely talking in roadbound talk and i hate it it's almost become too
01:04:55.260 successful for this to work yeah this doesn't work because it's not niche you're like oh that's
01:04:58.840 funny it's like yeah that's how people in london talk this is the curse that our country is
01:05:03.020 laboring under yeah the point is it's a throwback to a completely different era that doesn't exist
01:05:08.140 anymore and doesn't really work where we're stood right now it doesn't make any sense and that's
01:05:12.900 that's from our perspective you look at this and you go well the um i won't say the w word
01:05:20.280 yeah i think what you're saying is the political environment has completely changed yes and also
01:05:24.860 people are bound to take offense i've already seen also frankly those are jamaicans taking
01:05:28.620 also frankly chavs don't exist the way that they used to anymore the chavs that do exist aren't
01:05:33.980 just white kids trying to be black most of the time they'll be white kids who grew up as the
01:05:39.680 minority surrounded by blacks so this won't be them like performatively trying to put it on
01:05:45.140 because oh black culture in america has been advertised to me and it's really really cool
01:05:49.220 so i'm going to try and do that it's no this is literally the culture i grew up around yes and
01:05:53.580 just just look at somebody like young bob who when he's not trying to speak proper clearly speaks in
01:05:58.740 mle naturally exactly because that's what he grew up around think think about you know the harry
01:06:03.660 potter films right i've watched the the first half of the first harry potter film all right you know
01:06:08.240 the street that harry potter grows up in yeah right that's the kind of street that ali g is
01:06:12.560 taking the piss out of right yes they're the kind of people and that it put imagine that but 1.00
01:06:17.380 basically the entire country right the entire south of england is like that and so you've got 0.99
01:06:22.240 this this very safe this you know and then there might be like you know uh an indian couple who
01:06:27.740 run a restaurant or a pakistani couple who run a corner shop or something but mostly the country
01:06:32.120 is completely homogenous
01:06:33.060 to be honest
01:06:33.460 you know he's probably
01:06:34.000 taking the piss out of it
01:06:34.780 he is probably 0.85
01:06:36.480 taking the piss out 0.74
01:06:37.020 of a guy I know 1.00
01:06:37.820 who only wears
01:06:39.180 like skate clothes
01:06:40.140 and is incredibly posh
01:06:42.360 and from North London
01:06:44.020 it's probably
01:06:44.520 Westwood
01:06:45.640 is that that rapper guy
01:06:46.880 that DJ
01:06:47.620 no I'm talking about
01:06:48.360 a different guy
01:06:48.580 but that's the kind of guy 0.65
01:06:49.340 he's taking the piss out
01:06:50.340 probably he grew up with them
01:06:51.260 because he
01:06:51.920 and he went to a posh school 0.99
01:06:53.380 like a lot of Adam Bucks
01:06:54.580 and a lot of these people
01:06:55.260 he's taking the piss out 0.97
01:06:56.260 basically probably a white 0.97
01:06:57.120 or probably Jewish posh guy
01:06:58.760 quite possibly 0.64
01:06:59.200 who is pretending to be black 0.97
01:07:01.020 but that only works 0.91
01:07:01.880 when the country looks like the beginning of the first harry potter movie yeah yeah now the country
01:07:06.080 doesn't look like that this looks well i mean a lot more spiteful because the political environment
01:07:11.720 is just not tolerant in the way it used to necessarily look spiteful it looks completely
01:07:15.540 out of touch this is not what the world looks like anymore that is not what the country looks
01:07:20.680 like and this is all from our perspective uh from the other perspective though uh people didn't like 0.96
01:07:25.780 this because well sasha baron cohen is a uh big nasty jewish zionist and as well as as well as 0.85
01:07:33.980 this kind of thing where it's like this is old and cringe old man give it call it call it a day 0.86
01:07:39.160 already you get does the g stand for genocide denier 27 000 likes talk about a new context 0.54
01:07:48.180 yeah this hardcore zionist jew makes fun of austrians white britons white southerners and 0.54
01:07:54.440 arabs his comedy is a tired op against the people that he hates that's a weird uh dude 0.84
01:08:00.620 i know dude will think of the araboscvian like yeah dude older maybe this is a tucker fan
01:08:07.720 dude old as hell doing a chav impression and pretending he's not woke in real life because
01:08:14.020 of course he's the he's the classic example of a guy who pulled the ladder up behind himself when 0.80
01:08:18.800 he was like i'm going to be as offensive as possible with borat and bruno and all that stuff
01:08:23.280 but then what was it you dare and he was working for facebook no no censorship he was he was
01:08:28.740 working on behalf of the adl to give a speech about how facebook should censor anything that
01:08:33.780 was right wing and pro trump uh sony loves bloody blah uh people just like all of them saying like 0.96
01:08:40.700 this sucks i hate you you're a massive zionist this one here right this this this is not going 0.97
01:08:45.900 to work on this generation that's exactly right right because when we were young things were just 0.99
01:08:50.500 not politicized in the way they are now like people were like oh yeah right that's its own 0.74
01:08:55.640 self-contained sort of universe of being stupid but it wasn't something that wider society was 0.95
01:09:00.540 like oh i'm gonna clutch pearls over you know like the no one knew what a zionist was yeah it 0.98
01:09:05.080 wasn't relevant yeah yeah exactly but things are just politicized in a way that this is not going
01:09:08.920 to fly now oh no no on both on both sides our side are going to see this as an insult to white
01:09:15.120 working class and kind of just out of touch and something that doesn't exist anymore the left side
01:09:19.660 are just going to say well sasha baron cohen you're a zionist you support the idea to cambridge 0.56
01:09:24.900 and then oh he's also posh and then and he went to elite school then um jamaicans are going to be
01:09:30.780 offended as well i've already seen them saying oh no no we're the one person you're allowed i mean
01:09:34.540 look at look at this people are already accusing him of blackface which is not something that's
01:09:38.940 unusual that's what it was i watched i watched the full trailer for ali g who is i uh again as
01:09:45.520 far as i'm aware the actual film that came out what 24 years ago was a real film this is a borat
01:09:51.340 style documentary and and at this point a lot of people in the comments on youtube are just asking
01:09:57.500 like yeah but who won't recognize him now like part of the part of the point of borat or something
01:10:03.760 was he was an unrecognizable character who goes and pretends like he's filming a documentary and
01:10:08.840 gets people to make arses of themselves because they think they're just talking that's almost
01:10:11.900 the whole thing that is the whole thing like but now ali g is a very widely nice character how are
01:10:18.020 you yeah you're doing ali g again like there's one bit where he's talking to like a u.s government
01:10:23.360 official it's like dude you've probably met at dinner before you're higher rank than him but
01:10:28.520 you've got better access to intelligence than he has yeah yeah it doesn't work do you want to hear
01:10:32.340 what his education was he went to the same prep school that people like adam buxton went to st
01:10:36.500 columbus college in st albans yeah then he went to ashes aske's boy school in elstree
01:10:42.360 that he then he studied history with a focus on anti-semitism in christ college cambridge
01:10:48.260 gets better right in the summer of 1992 as an undergraduate he spent several months at the
01:10:53.200 martin luther king jr center in atlanta researching his dissertation on the role of jewish activists
01:10:57.980 in the american civil rights movement titled the black jewish alliance a case of mistaking
01:11:02.340 identity he graduated in 1993 with upper second class honors and he was a member of the cambridge
01:11:07.380 amateur dramatic club where he performed in shows such as fiddler on the roof and whatnot and this
01:11:11.920 is how he got into acting so really he's always been like proto woke if you want to call it he's
01:11:17.280 always he's always been obsessed with this sort of stuff but you know for a time he became the
01:11:24.660 edgy comedian of the mainstream's choice but i mean if you're going to talk about punching down
01:11:28.900 left wing oh yeah like he is mocking the poorest most disadvantaged people in the country from the
01:11:34.620 position of the greatest privilege just i do want to i do want to point out not everybody hates this
01:11:39.480 not everybody dislikes it uh for some reason uh in stains there is one man fielding a petition to
01:11:46.660 get a alley g landmark put up which is exactly what i'm sure the countryside surrey town of
01:11:52.660 stains is looking for a monument to um this well interestingly let's see the chap this is um
01:12:00.100 i'm sure he's i'm sure he's a nice chap just a very unusual thing to go to bat for i suppose
01:12:05.740 alex balkan respect the autism yeah i mean well i looked up stains stains are still majority white
01:12:11.260 but he has not many things it's famous for other than allergies so perhaps but here's here's just
01:12:15.200 an example of how like the past that allergy comes from and why it feels so out of place right now
01:12:20.900 the past is a different country my friends fun fact of the day when the last episode of ali g
01:12:26.540 show was aired in 2004 the white population of london was still at 70 percent now that's not
01:12:33.520 just that's not the white british that's also including foreign white populations but still
01:12:37.700 way higher than it is right now and stains is uh you say it's still majority white but it's still
01:12:45.640 22% non-white
01:12:47.760 at this point, which is
01:12:49.520 far more than it would have been when it was probably
01:12:51.920 still like a white enclave
01:12:53.380 when the show originally came out. 0.76
01:12:56.200 You know, part of the joke was that he came
01:12:57.980 from an all-white hinterland, a tourist in his adoptive
01:13:00.140 culture. That's a world that barely 0.87
01:13:02.000 exists now. A kid growing up in Staines, 22%
01:13:04.240 non-white, might well have 1.00
01:13:06.140 connections to black culture, drill, etc. 0.99
01:13:08.140 So it's completely anachronistic, especially
01:13:10.060 when it's talking about the generational gaps
01:13:12.160 in the demographics. Yeah, it's 22%
01:13:14.520 non-white altogether but within the younger generations it's probably much higher oh yeah 1.00
01:13:18.760 a much higher percentage of that so it just feels so very strange and out of touch and also again
01:13:25.960 the uh the the left wing i bet they're thrilled with it the left wing assumption uh may shock you
01:13:32.940 can we all agree that this is just blackface it's not millennial blackface it's gen x blackface yeah
01:13:38.500 this is yeah exactly but cohen is not that young actually yeah yeah he's in his 50s which makes
01:13:44.300 all of this
01:13:44.780 all the more embarrassing
01:13:46.880 he's like you guys
01:13:47.860 no no I'm a millennial
01:13:48.980 he's a gen X 1.00
01:13:49.520 I thought you were a Xenial 1.00
01:13:51.620 well that's 1.00
01:13:52.420 that Xenial crosses over 0.81
01:13:54.300 with millennial 0.98
01:13:55.420 so you're like
01:13:56.460 kind of touching tips
01:13:57.480 I'm the first year
01:13:58.340 of millennial 0.98
01:13:59.020 Xenial means 0.97
01:14:00.280 the final years of gen X
01:14:01.680 and the early years
01:14:02.440 of millennial
01:14:02.840 it usually goes
01:14:03.720 77 to 83
01:14:04.520 see how he's desperately
01:14:05.380 trying to claw himself 0.98
01:14:07.240 no yeah Carl is a Xenial 1.00
01:14:08.200 they're desperately 1.00
01:14:08.920 trying to claw themselves
01:14:09.760 away from whatever this is
01:14:11.040 no no no no
01:14:11.060 I've taken full ownership
01:14:13.040 of this and I hated it
01:14:14.040 I've always hated it. 1.00
01:14:15.360 Well, the funny thing is about calling it blackface 0.88
01:14:17.280 is that the whole joke is that he's not black. 0.94
01:14:19.500 Yeah, exactly, but it is blackface. 0.94
01:14:21.060 Yeah, whether it is blackface because of all his clothing and things. 0.74
01:14:23.120 It's black clothing. 0.95
01:14:24.480 It's funny why we have all of these other sort of like multi-layered issues with it.
01:14:30.320 Not necessarily issues.
01:14:31.480 It's not like I'm annoyed.
01:14:32.420 I'm kind of just bemused by the whole thing.
01:14:34.520 Like, really?
01:14:35.200 Now this is when you come out with Ali G?
01:14:37.260 But like the left kind of just immediately jumps straight back
01:14:40.580 to old school woke talking points.
01:14:43.160 yeah the one thing i will say though as carl says that we weren't so politicized so i'd still much
01:14:48.280 rather go back to the time when you can have allergy and go oh yeah that's a bit of fun
01:14:51.500 because it because everything wasn't politicized there was no culture war so it was just like oh
01:14:55.380 yeah that's funny and everyone could roughly agree it was funny or not funny but it was not only
01:14:59.120 based on personal taste well here's here's a weird thing though obviously the actual culture
01:15:03.960 surrounding it um has has changed we live in a very different world uh the left are kind of
01:15:09.300 trapped in this 2020 woke culture war frame when looking at it but the media that we're consuming
01:15:15.640 in terms of what it's hearkening back to we had all of the 80s nostalgia uh through the uh the
01:15:21.820 the 2010s we still have marvel films coming out where they're trying to bring the old guard back
01:15:26.840 to try and keep people now we've got this culture is still in a way very stuck we're still not
01:15:32.780 moving forward we can't make anything new no that's absolutely the case yeah all the films
01:15:36.980 are like oh here's a reboot on another thing from it's like home and away the film that's an extreme
01:15:41.340 example right he-man perfect yeah exactly exactly it's happened though that was supposed to be quite
01:15:46.640 good how many times can we read something we can't because we can't move for we can't have our
01:15:51.060 i mean d i mean woke's a big part of it nathan cothless is a lot in the news but people haven't
01:15:56.140 picked up in that 2024 article that was um so controversial one thing he said was that you
01:16:00.800 can't really have meaningful art when you have dei he's completely right with woke the world we
01:16:05.800 have you can't really have you you've got everything's split size everything's fractured
01:16:09.160 you can't have a monoculture you can't have oh yeah this is a big new film fight club or something
01:16:14.060 or here's a big new author it's all all falling apart with dei like we saw with the jacob savage
01:16:20.900 article anyone young and vital and creative is kept out of it so the two of the most well three
01:16:27.120 of the most interesting and creative films that i've seen this year have all been youtuber movies
01:16:32.160 like obsession obsession i did a review with connor uh yesterday that will come out soon of
01:16:37.280 the back rooms earlier on this year there was the self-financed iron lung movie that markiplier did
01:16:42.840 oh yeah and these were all like really low budget creative gambles that they could only really get
01:16:49.780 away with because they were outside of the system yeah studio picked them yeah a24 picked up uh the
01:16:55.460 back rooms but that's because the the creator kane parsons had already built up a cache of youtube
01:17:00.800 short films expanding the concept first obsession was another youtube filmmaker who managed to get
01:17:07.220 you know somebody to give him less than a million dollars to make the entire film iron lung was a
01:17:12.180 completely independent production that was entirely financed from his own personal personal money
01:17:17.840 right uh which which is why they were creative they took risks not everybody liked them but they
01:17:23.720 were trying something new and they were way more culturally relevant to the sort of stuff that we
01:17:27.920 see today what we get from the mainstream is stuck 20 30 years ago still 40 years ago
01:17:35.640 or you had the vigilante film which was the explicitly political response but that's
01:17:40.900 independent no no no that's the point i want to make on actually because that's the point i want
01:17:44.400 to expand on because this is exactly it right harry's right the the only space is now like
01:17:50.800 tiny independent like you know abstract not abstract but like remote films like they can't
01:17:56.840 be talked about they are more experimental and abstract way more yeah yeah and i'm not saying
01:18:01.420 i'm necessarily a fan or not a fan but it's good that they're doing that right but it's because
01:18:04.980 the the mainstream is only allowed to churn up nostalgia because if they were to make art that
01:18:10.080 was a commentary on our current current civilization or the demographics or the people
01:18:14.680 it would look like right it would have to invest a contemporary reality exactly which they don't
01:18:19.720 want and exactly and yes one thing i was going to add to that so the one guy the one time the
01:18:24.820 guy does it's like they're like yeah and it's much like so with dei how the the older guard survives
01:18:29.640 like in comedy yeah we still have hugh dennis a lad that got pulled up yeah ian mcughan still
01:18:33.560 can publish but the younger white authors no no white males but they he's still allowed so
01:18:38.180 the weird thing with dei is like the old guard are there like the the youngest people in the
01:18:43.240 industry now are like all gen x yeah maybe some older millennials like yourself nick and they
01:18:49.900 only have a very particular cultural frame of reference so they want to keep going back to
01:18:54.580 they haven't got the new experiences injected into them to make new stuff it is gen x because
01:18:59.880 my generation as jacob savage said in that famous compact piece my generation was exact
01:19:04.480 generation his is millennials millennials and younger were cut out of everything if they were
01:19:08.420 white males that's when dei kicked in so you're right this is all like fossilized gen x the last 0.69
01:19:13.940 white males or jewish in his case yeah it's like like sorry ali g is like the last culturally 0.54
01:19:20.540 relevant thing from his childhood and from his youth growing up that he still has reference to
01:19:27.000 so he just keeps going back to it again and again and again but the left hate it because now they
01:19:31.280 look back and they go yeah you started that in the 90s yeah you could be more risque in the 90s
01:19:35.280 sorry actually uh this is racism and you playing a white guy who thinks he's black is no different 0.73
01:19:41.340 this is from 2015 this is no different from old vaudeville blackface it's true it is actually true
01:19:47.340 yeah uh there's there's this article from 2011 in research gate liquid racism and the ambiguity
01:19:53.980 of algae it's not that ambiguous actually but we're going to make a problem about it
01:19:58.540 it was in 1998 the stupidity of that it's like that clip been going around that i couldn't bring
01:20:03.780 myself to watch but they're looking at little britain and saying how awful it is and they 0.97
01:20:07.280 don't even understand the target of the joke have you seen that clip the zoom was a lot younger
01:20:10.480 they can't even understand it but the problem is if you look at art through the ideological lens
01:20:14.820 especially the woke lens you can have no art can you you can't have comedy you can't have any art
01:20:18.680 because people read like um murakami who's a popular japanese author incredibly best-selling
01:20:23.060 and they just go it's misogynist woke will destroy why do you think it's so good woke can destroy
01:20:28.620 absolutely any piece of art because it can always find something problematic that's what it does
01:20:33.120 it's a virus that destroys everything good well and they're already trying to take this one down
01:20:36.920 as a result of it new campaign from news uh from newscord demand cinemas worldwide refuse to screen
01:20:44.100 the new ali g film i agree he retired the character in 2007 now they're bringing him back
01:20:49.940 turns out that comics find that ali g is an alibi for racism this is the middle the liberal middle
01:20:56.340 classes laughing at black street culture actually it's the liberal middle classes and upper classes
01:21:01.820 laughing at white street culture uh trying to mimic blacks well no no it's not even that it was 0.51
01:21:07.500 laughing at liberal middle class white culture and their attempt to understand and categorize 0.59
01:21:14.080 someone like Ali G. Either way they're trying to get
01:21:16.180 this whole thing banned from cinemas
01:21:18.060 and at least one cinema chain has
01:21:20.000 already said. Now given that
01:21:21.820 given that
01:21:23.380 Sacha Baron Cohen himself
01:21:25.580 is an advocate for censorship
01:21:27.900 and is trying to let people like
01:21:29.840 us have our voices
01:21:31.580 silenced. I can only say
01:21:34.020 to you Mr. Cohen
01:21:35.820 tough luck. He made your bed yeah
01:21:37.940 but it is also and obviously you're having a laugh
01:21:40.180 I can understand why but it's as
01:21:42.140 depressing really as when everyone decided
01:21:44.180 Zoomers decided Friends was
01:21:46.120 offensive. It is in that kind of level.
01:21:48.120 It's like, really? Which I thought was almost
01:21:50.000 impossible because from our youth, the most
01:21:52.140 innocuous possible...
01:21:53.380 I just thought Friends wasn't funny.
01:21:56.600 It has its moments,
01:21:57.940 but it's not really about that. It's about the relationship.
01:22:00.360 We watched it like the most
01:22:01.820 warm, mainstream. Watch it after school.
01:22:04.220 It was the most frothy kind of possible.
01:22:06.120 Now it's like offensive.
01:22:07.800 And look at this article, why they're doing
01:22:09.940 it as well. They're doing it from
01:22:11.820 this position as well where he makes a joke how dangerous is iran in the trailer sasha baron cohen
01:22:16.560 who lobbied tiktok for israel during the gaza genocide uses ali g film to perpetuate the idea
01:22:22.200 that the only effective state actor facing israel is dangerous right so i mean maybe it's to israel
01:22:27.200 i mean that's the uh that's the argument these guys are going here so that this is actively a
01:22:32.620 left-wing campaign to punish sasha baron cohen for being an idf supporting zionist yeah yeah
01:22:39.440 which is just given that these are the same sorts of people as well
01:22:43.620 who he would have been banking on to support him
01:22:45.920 to cancel the far right off of the internet.
01:22:48.840 You know, okay, I mean, fair play.
01:22:51.620 Go for it, guys.
01:22:52.680 That is part of the new...
01:22:54.340 I suppose that is part of the change in context
01:22:55.900 that he's such an out-and-out and well-known scientist,
01:22:58.740 whereas when Ali G came out, as I said,
01:23:00.720 we didn't know he was that. 0.98
01:23:01.840 No one would have cared about that.
01:23:03.100 So I suppose that does make it harder for him
01:23:04.560 to not face his accusations. 1.00
01:23:06.400 You would have been supporting importing all of the people
01:23:08.840 who would have had a problem with him being a zionist as well the whole the whole premise of 0.84
01:23:13.140 the character is to poke fun at those liberals who are not who are just white right because
01:23:18.760 to make them like essentially accept that he is a black guy right that was the point so it was
01:23:26.520 clear that he wasn't black but he's going to act black and so they were like oh yeah well you know 0.50
01:23:30.380 i'm very tolerant and progressive and things like this right so that that was the entire structure 0.51
01:23:34.940 of the joke 0.95
01:23:35.720 in Ali G 0.99
01:23:36.940 that was why it was funny
01:23:38.080 otherwise it wouldn't
01:23:38.620 have been funny at all
01:23:39.480 but you know
01:23:40.400 I hope to see you all
01:23:42.240 in the cinema there
01:23:43.040 with me once
01:23:43.680 I kind of got cancelled
01:23:44.620 oh yeah true
01:23:45.620 gutted
01:23:45.940 whoops 0.97
01:23:46.240 gutted
01:23:46.720 anyway
01:23:46.980 go through a couple
01:23:47.880 of rumble rants
01:23:48.640 love how Carl refuses
01:23:50.600 to give Ali G
01:23:51.400 the compliment
01:23:51.960 of his gaze
01:23:52.960 I love that
01:23:53.760 compliment of his gaze
01:23:55.580 what?
01:23:56.480 Caleb Knight
01:23:57.300 male gaze
01:23:57.900 oh yeah
01:23:58.460 I disagree with Nick
01:23:59.640 based on your personal
01:24:00.620 tinfoil hat
01:24:01.620 that the culture war
01:24:02.740 has been going
01:24:03.460 since the 1800s
01:24:04.620 with march or the ethnicity of march puts it at two and a half thousand years ago but like i said
01:24:09.100 tinfoil hat base i don't really know what point he's making making there uh fictagius an asian
01:24:17.340 guy playing a white guy pretending to be a black guy never go full race appropriation
01:24:21.120 uh right we got any video comments today samson um long time isn't ali g's cousin the oxbridge
01:24:28.300 don peripherally involved with the situation yeah yeah he is weird but then they both went
01:24:34.120 to fancy colleges didn't they lindsey clancy supporters are the greatest argument against
01:24:38.100 women's rights no more feminism no more women's rights in this age of women's wrongs um well 0.97
01:24:42.940 yeah asylums frankly it's one of those things where there is an argument to be made that society has 0.87
01:24:51.780 failed women in that women don't really want to be doing the things that men are doing what these
01:24:58.400 women want is to be living in like a 17th century village right it's failed men too and women i
01:25:04.840 agree use like women on mass in positions of power still use their positions of power to punish men
01:25:11.540 for their perceived wrongs as well um don't worry nick i've got oh no well it was in the article he
01:25:16.840 said we could do a whole thing on how it's all failing men as well i've i've got you back on
01:25:20.600 the male talking points bro don't don't you worry about it not wrong sophie says there's also a real
01:25:25.840 possibility that clancy was drug shopping and that's why she kept firing a doctor and going to
01:25:29.560 a new one ah that's a good point i don't even think of things like this i'm glad you've come
01:25:34.060 along and pointed that out i don't typically think of drug shopping in such a way i don't like taking
01:25:38.160 paracetamol i don't like taking it up my stomach i don't take anything tough it out doesn't do
01:25:43.940 anything for me just bite down on a real man take a shot and bite down on a block of wood
01:25:47.840 that's it or a brick average amputation at nick's house michael says jesus christ candace owens has
01:25:56.080 gone off the deep end yeah but i mean we knew that with the charlie kirk stuff like it was i i there's
01:26:01.020 a part of it there's probably the wonders i mean you mean like when she was saying he had actual
01:26:04.900 magic powers oh you can control electricity don't you know like is she just doing this for the grift
01:26:10.720 like genuinely or is she actually mental when you when you realize she can't pronounce any words or
01:26:16.020 phrases that's when i start to go is there just nothing in there maybe it's just not a griff you
01:26:20.060 can't put that genie back in the bible cream back in the pie yeah it's just um that has cream of the
01:26:28.120 pride did she say the cream of the pie yeah oh that has so many like bad implications to it um
01:26:34.160 starma's fiery but mostly peaceful backdoor says i didn't realize how how guilty the details make
01:26:39.420 her look yeah hilarious username but this is actually a serious comment yeah no uh all the
01:26:43.740 cases i've heard of auditory hallucinations driving people mad are a slow grinding down of
01:26:48.220 that person and it always gets worse after they commit the act we're talking months of sleepless
01:26:52.660 nights making you lose your mind not a sudden trip to the fridge before i was thinking there
01:26:56.520 should be a degree of sympathy we've had legal precedent in the uk that we're given light
01:27:00.140 sentences for genuine postpartum killings and it almost feels like being kept alive with the guilt
01:27:04.480 is the biggest possible punishment but actually uh this seems premeditated and i think that goes
01:27:09.160 out the window yeah it does i always dislike that logic of like oh if you keep them alive 0.95
01:27:13.160 the guilt it's the biggest possible punishment if we kill them aren't we just giving them what
01:27:17.880 they want okay yeah yeah sure i don't i don't care that it's like it's like he responds directly 0.93
01:27:24.660 under when something this awful happens i almost feel like the perpetrator has to die for society
01:27:28.400 to draw a line under the events absolutely it does there's there's a reason that executions
01:27:34.640 used to be a public affair that you would that you would all gather for because it was something
01:27:39.900 it was a community activity it was the community showing that it was still strong and would have
01:27:45.720 the will to punish those people who transgress yes it's reinforcing values yeah yeah saying we
01:27:51.400 have the confidence of our own values yeah but when i forgot to say anything i've never really
01:27:54.960 agreed it anyway with even if it's a man there was a case where a man strangled his wife and it's
01:27:58.160 like yeah but he was it was a temporary psychosis he was he wasn't himself i'm like who was he so
01:28:02.320 it's a strange always been a strange metaphysical claim you can become someone else i'm like well
01:28:06.800 someone did it like his soul left his body or something we've always had that and it's really
01:28:10.960 weird that the way that can be used even i've never understood that i'm like still i think
01:28:15.500 it was still him yeah yeah i don't accept it um starman's fiery but mostly peace back door says
01:28:20.940 again morgoth these are really good comments that's why i'm reading them morgoth did a great
01:28:25.140 video explaining the sinking feeling of seeing our beaches teeming with third worlders we used 0.97
01:28:29.280 to mentally parcel away that when they got british citizenship it was just our passports and welfare 1.00
01:28:33.580 system and they would stick to their enclaves and they'd stay in the cities because no one likes the
01:28:37.840 cities no one wants to live in the cities we want to live in the nice peaceful countryside where we
01:28:41.260 can just go for walks anytime we like and everything will be nice and safe and quiet right
01:28:44.920 but in reality they got the whole thing everything you love that is particular to britain is theirs
01:28:49.680 now you cannot escape them anywhere we are a people dispossessed it's totally true i've stayed
01:28:54.480 away from such segments because they're so heartbreaking being from the country oh i just 0.99
01:28:59.760 want to uh quickly address in the lake someone maria's just like the shires are having intrusive
01:29:04.520 thoughts i man i really am i just want to address george happ saying is harry willing to reconsider
01:29:09.140 his uh both sides take i was never taking both sides i said i broadly sympathize with the actual
01:29:17.280 cases of postpartum that women experience and that no matter what the reason for what she did
01:29:24.120 was even if it was psychosis or whatever that she still deserves execution because again as a
01:29:30.580 society we need to punish these kinds of actions i was not making a both sides argument my criticism
01:29:36.300 of matt walsh is going to the opposite extreme and knee-jerk and saying oh postpartum doesn't
01:29:41.100 exist at all isn't actually addressing the situation that families who find themselves
01:29:46.220 isolated get themselves in yeah i watched the segment and you came to the exact same conclusion
01:29:51.120 we all have you said you have to be executed yeah but you but you said i totally get the 0.84
01:29:55.140 postpartum is a real thing but you can't go killing your kids i've seen it happen you know 0.91
01:29:59.020 i watched the whole segment it was not both sides it was completely reasonable yeah i think i
01:30:02.620 no offense george i think you along with a lot of other people because i wasn't just going with the
01:30:07.820 fire and fury of it tried to push my take into a position that it wasn't but it's perfectly
01:30:13.540 reasonable to say look i actually can sympathize as you say with women who do have postpartum 0.99
01:30:17.920 depression but this is the hard line you kill your kids we're gonna hang you yeah and therefore 0.99
01:30:22.340 the sympathy goes it's like big farm is real postpartum is real can't kill your kids and if 0.99
01:30:26.960 you do it's actually not as complicated as we're making out um anyway uh let's let's get one or
01:30:34.500 two from the uh sashbar and cohen for you borat was funny once says michael it wasn't worth a
01:30:40.040 second viewing ali g was funny once cohen's work is an airplane or blazing saddles is pure schlock
01:30:44.820 comedy in general doesn't age well to be fair
01:30:48.220 I see Borat in the same way
01:30:50.580 that I do watching Anchorman
01:30:52.260 when I used to be a teenager
01:30:54.200 watching Anchorman with my friends
01:30:55.780 it was the most hilarious thing ever
01:30:57.320 when you watch it by yourself 0.63
01:30:59.140 you actually want to kill yourself 0.69
01:31:01.540 it's also generational
01:31:02.740 Ken Dodd used to make
01:31:04.480 absolutely make him roll in the aisles
01:31:06.280 with his soldier routines
01:31:07.600 because they'd been in the war and stuff
01:31:09.060 we watched that
01:31:09.740 we hadn't been in the war
01:31:10.440 we sort of like why is this funny
01:31:11.720 I don't get this
01:31:12.480 yeah but i i i do despise borat for and i hate to sound like a leftist on this but because it's
01:31:19.800 such a punch down it's like here's here's this you know man who's had all the privileges in the
01:31:25.020 world he gets to go to cambridge gets to go study all around the world and then he finds some very 1.00
01:31:29.940 very impoverished romanian village he's like yeah look at these fucking stupid yokels aren't they 1.00
01:31:34.840 evil aren't they anti-semitic when you watch the documentary about the village it's hard yeah it's 0.99
01:31:38.880 awful and i i genuinely i didn't enjoy like the actitude of it at the time but i didn't think
01:31:46.140 about it too much but it's only in recent years i'm like yeah man that was actually awful somebody's
01:31:50.180 mentioning that there was the borat 2 being anti-trump's like i completely forgot borat 2
01:31:54.060 even existed it didn't register on my radar he moved on to that weird gay character well it says
01:32:01.000 here lars peter simonson can sasha baron cohen release the footage of him as bruno the gay
01:32:06.020 character by the wailing wall in jerusalem also being beaten up by orthodox jews i've got to
01:32:11.720 support the ortho bros in this no but yeah i would yeah but no but george has got it right
01:32:16.580 sash baron cohen is very quick to mock other cultures but when it comes to his own culture
01:32:19.700 he goes crying to the adl at the slice defense that's the thing that's exactly what it is and
01:32:23.640 that's why i don't care if he gets cancelled anyway uh we are at the end of the podcast now
01:32:27.420 so if you are a gold tier subscriber come over i'll see you in half an hour otherwise have a
01:32:32.260 great weekend we'll see you on monday
01:32:36.020 Thank you.
