00:02:23.420Now, this detail is contested by Netanyahu.
00:02:26.380He is saying that he intends to sue Haaretz over this
00:02:30.760and that this is completely fictional.
00:02:34.420I think in one of his posts, he uses the phrase blood libel.
00:02:39.700And what this rests on is the idea that in the prime minister's logs,
00:02:45.220there was no log of a call with Mohammed bin Zayed at that date.
00:02:52.240However, this is kind of refuted by an entirely different publication confirming that the call happened.
00:02:59.660And also, wouldn't there be confirmation on the side of the UAE that this would have taken place?
00:03:03.880If we're just relying on Netanyahu's accounts of this,
00:03:06.540if it's an inconvenient call to have taken place,
00:03:09.840I'm not saying whether or not it did, but he could have just omitted it.
00:03:13.280He could have just omitted it. The UAE hasn't confirmed or denied anything. One of the supposed sources for the article might be one of the sources. He isn't named. But we've assumed that it's Mohammed Dahalan, who is from Gaza, who is an advisor for the UAE. He's come out and said, no, no, no, this isn't true. So that's important to note.
00:03:33.920but the point that i want to make is that there was an extensive list of warnings not just one
00:03:41.060and there is really something there that can't be dismissed i mean wasn't there an internal idf
00:03:48.520investigation into it what a year and a half ago that came to the conclusion that while they didn't
00:03:54.160specifically know that this exact event was going to happen they didn't know yes that they basically
00:03:59.960did and chose not to do anything, or that the IDF itself had a number of weaknesses that didn't need
00:04:05.760to be there in their defences. So that investigation came from Yediyot Aharonot, which is pretty much
00:04:12.500a right-wing newspaper in Israel. The article here in Hebrew refuses to translate on some browsers,
00:04:18.580it does on others, and it kind of gives the official narrative, which is that this was a bit
00:04:26.520of a surprise for the Israelis. There were calls between senior officials in the IDF and the Shin
00:04:32.540Bet, the internal security forces of Israel. The reason was that after midnight on the 7th of
00:04:39.180October, the Israeli intelligence community received several significant indicators. These
00:04:45.260signs were added to a few more indicators that began to flash, but none of them was a clear
00:04:51.300warning of war, supposedly. Although we will see in a minute that one of them was a very obvious
00:04:56.300indication of war. Despite these concerns, the senior intelligence source stated at 3.10 a.m.,
00:05:02.720we still believe that the Hamas leadership in Gaza is not headed for escalation. So they thought
00:05:09.040at the time that this was another exercise by Hamas. They had done a couple of them, including
00:05:14.720over the previous Jewish Passover, that showed like they were getting ready for a major attack
00:05:21.780The assessment at the time was this is a training exercise to put pressure on Israel, not to actually conduct an attack.
00:05:28.460And we'll see in a moment why they wanted to put pressure.
00:05:31.520These signs worried the commander of the Gaza Division, the unit defending the border, Brigadier General Avi Rosenfeld.
00:05:40.600He summoned his senior commanders, including the top brigade commanders, the divisional intelligence officer, the engineering officer, and others.
00:05:50.060when they arrived they took steps to increase the alert at the border okay however they plan
00:05:57.420to take additional alerts along the border and near the community but they were asked by the
00:06:05.620general staff not to take noisy steps not to take steps that would be too obvious that they were
00:06:12.260preparing meaning okay you have permission to slightly increase the defenses that you have
00:06:18.680but don't increase them too much. This is still the official story before the Haaretz story broke
00:06:24.320out and what it suggests is that the top leadership of the military just didn't really
00:06:31.220want them to increase their preparedness at that last moment. Now one of the key indicators in all
00:06:37.300of this which was reported by multiple sources in Israel well before the Haaretz article
00:06:41.480was that the assumption was that there was going to be a Hamas attack at some point
00:06:46.900And one of the big indicators was going to be Hamas activating a bunch of new telephone lines.
00:06:55.100And these would be Israeli SIM cards that, when activated en masse, would mean that a major attack is happening.
00:07:03.360This indicator happened, and even after it happened, they did almost nothing.0.58
00:07:11.040What would be their rationale for that? Would it be that if they increased their border patrol presence, it would act as a sort of provocation to Hamas, so they didn't want to preemptively engage them in conflict? What would be their, are they given one?
00:11:09.320And it was intended to basically launch out of Gaza and conduct a massive attack.
00:11:16.580And this operation was known and warnings about it were issued back in 2018 and then again in 2022.
00:11:25.360And the plans have been recycled for Al-Aqsa flood, right?
00:11:27.980Yes. And that same plan was essentially recycled for the Al-Aqsa flood.
00:11:32.780So this is, you know, where we are.0.86
00:11:35.300And then when Blinken shows up in Israel, he says that he's condemning Hamas and he's arriving there as a Jew.
00:11:43.320I come before you not only as the U.S. Secretary of State, but also as a Jew.
00:11:47.720My grandfather fled pogroms in Russia.
00:11:49.900My stepfather survived the Nazi concentration camps.
00:11:54.300And saying to Netanyahu, I understand on a personal level the harrowing echoes that Hamas' massacres carry for Israeli Jews, indeed for Jews everywhere.
00:12:02.600I come as a husband and father of young children.
00:12:06.740It's impossible for me to look at the photos of families killed,
00:12:25.580Now, let's explain what the warning was.
00:12:29.740Yes, Netanyahu says that he was going to sue Haaretz, but let's explain what is really being discussed here and at what level it was.
00:12:38.140Because the way Netanyahu is framing his denial of having received a warning is that only he received a warning from the UAE and nobody was informed about it.
00:12:50.860The way that the defense is, hold on, the way that Netanyahu here is attacking Haaretz is by saying that I didn't have a call with the UAE president.
00:16:32.720In September 2023, the leader of Hamas had a meeting with a senior official in a different
00:16:40.920Palestinian organization that is much closer to the Israelis. And he said, tell the Israelis that
00:16:46.380if they don't make progress on this deal that's been sort of in the works for several years now,
00:16:52.200I'm preparing a huge surprise for them. Tell them to expect an earthquake.
00:16:57.140And this guy panics, and he doesn't know what to do, and he tells his leadership, he tells other people in the UAE that this is happening, because the UAE is funding that side of the Palestinians, the Qataris are funding the Hamas side.
00:17:14.500The president of the UAE has it confirmed, and then sends the same guy to another meeting, and they conclude that he means that he is launching an all-out war.
00:17:23.060and then the palestinian the palestinian guy and the uae contact the israelis and they tell them
00:17:32.980there is going to be a war and they don't just contact netanyahu which is what he's suing haaretz
00:17:38.040over they also contact the shin bet and the shin bet that organize a meeting with the military
00:17:44.040intelligence the minister of defense and all of security officialdom so and tell them that this
00:17:51.380threat is coming from Hamas and they are planning on doing something and you had seen them do
00:17:58.040exercises on this operation in the preceding months the conclusion that people will therefore0.78
00:18:03.440draw is if it wasn't an executive decision by Netanyahu to ignore it and the intel and therefore
00:18:09.700the decision-making power was dispersed that lots of people would have purposefully sat on their
00:18:14.000hands with advanced knowledge of it and then of course lots of the Israeli public especially ahead
00:20:37.920So the number one guy in the UAE and the number two guy in Egypt both contacted Netanyahu separately, one ten days, one three days before the events of 7 October, and told him something insane was going to come out of Gaza.0.72
00:20:58.940And this is kind of important because the Israelis knew exactly how Hamas was going to surprise them.0.51
00:21:06.580They knew, and you see the operations division chief of the Israeli defense forces, Yaron Finkelman, he says we've had this plan, that the Jericho wall plan that Hamas had been planning since 2018.0.67
00:21:25.080we know that they're going to try to surprise us0.83
00:21:28.880and that means that they're probably going to do it
00:21:52.340I mean, narratively, it's extremely interesting to have this come out now of all times.
00:21:59.540So, like Harry said, the first time it came out was five days after the events.
00:22:05.360But now this is obviously part of the plan to influence the Israeli elections in favor of the left.
00:22:12.040I mean, more in the sense that after it first came out, you know, the thing was effectively memory hold or you weren't allowed to speak about it because it was too offensive.
00:22:21.180And yet you could well compare what October 7th is to the Iran war to what Pearl Harbor was to World War II.
00:22:29.740It is the very mythological basis in a Sorelian sense for any conflict going on at all.
00:22:35.960So, you know, maybe this is a conspiratorial lens that I'm looking through things with.
00:22:40.800However, it feels like there is a sort of counter-Netanyahu, maybe Ehud-Baracka-lined faction alongside probably sections of US intelligence that is just thinking, okay, he's gone way too far.
00:22:54.860Our military bases have been destroyed in Iran already.
00:22:58.020We need to pull out of that conflict, and as a result, we need to remove someone whose only basis for being in power is continuing imperial policy against Palestine.
00:35:35.300But I think something else to point out,
00:35:37.440particularly in terms of these new cases,
00:35:39.500is rather unlike, say, the case of Arshid Hussain, who was the ringleader in Rochdale,
00:35:47.140where there was a sort of national organization of the gang, and the police thought if we cut
00:35:52.440the head off of this one man, symbolically, of course, although unfortunately, the entire
00:35:56.860structure, the whole edifice will just collapse. But of course, what's now happening is just because
00:36:02.120of the compound interest of numbers over so many years, this is an emergent phenomena.0.76
00:36:08.040This is a phenomena that is occurring on its own where girls who are outside of the biradari household structure, who are unveiled, who are potentially vulnerable or more prone to sexual exploration at a younger age, are just seen as easy prey.
00:36:25.340It is kind of paralleling a phenomena that has only recently found a term for itself called clear up crew or clean up crew.0.59
00:36:34.380And it's what you can see it if you go to a local club.
00:36:37.380This actually happened with me fairly recently.
00:36:39.420There were these two Pakistani, presumably Murpuri men,
00:36:59.640And then I thought, oh, it's the cleanup crew.0.99
00:37:01.560They were waiting for the women to get drunk0.97
00:37:03.420so that they could take them home completely sober.1.00
00:37:06.620and then do what they wanted with them. And the very interesting thing, besides that being just
00:37:12.220horrible in its own right, is the fact that it exists on a spectrum. Once that kind of very
00:37:17.480normal behavior is seen as, not very abnormal, but normal behavior is seen as somewhat normal,
00:37:24.680then there are other things that you can do. You might even have one of these gentlemen say to
00:37:29.520another, well, you know, I would do cleanup crew, but I wouldn't go so far as to procure a drunk1.00
00:37:35.920alcoholic drug-addicted homeless woman and then use her in order to traffic me girls that are1.00
00:37:42.040also her customers but because of the cultural structure because of the tribal network that is0.75
00:37:48.120an extension of hundreds of years of consanguineous marriage you're never going to be able to knock
00:37:52.380it out with cultural reasons unless somehow the magical british passport undoes inbreeding yeah
00:37:58.620this is why i tweeted earlier when i shared that clip they talk about british citizenship as if it0.98
00:38:03.240has alchemical properties as if you can literally turn shit into gold like you hand them a british0.92
00:38:07.240passport and a third worlder becomes a britain and thousands of years of cousin marriage and0.97
00:38:10.820clan loyalty just dissolves before your eyes and it's just not the case and it's it's funny you
00:38:14.440mentioned the cleanup crew that will come up later because the reason the segment is titled
00:38:18.100it's all connected is literally the international trafficking gangs are connected now to the
00:38:21.480grooming gangs and it is irrefutable that we have the proof of this but in this particular case um
00:38:26.360We had a series of men named like Shafak Muhammad, Syed Muhammad, Muhammad Sheikh Abdul Hanan, Kevin Lawrence, which was a bit of a standout one, which is strange.
00:38:39.640He's from Danun. He's the only white guy in the gang, and he has two counts of conspiracy to rape.
00:38:45.580But he'll be coming up again later, because you might think, oh, why is there a white guy in this gang?0.93
00:51:05.600In relation to this, a point that you made just now reminded me of something completely different, which is this play that we've spoken about before called Expendable, which is a play about the grooming gangs, heroically enough, but from a Pakistani perspective.
00:51:19.940And it's set in a kitchen where it's revealed eventually a girl was trafficked. But the real sort of danger is the Muslim community are being targeted for this unfairly.
00:51:31.000And there are all of these bizarre scenes, and even the Guardian journalist who reviewed this said that they were bizarre, where the police are collaborating with the EDL, and the EDL, which no longer exists, is in all of the universities, and so on and so forth.0.80
00:51:45.760The reason why in that Pakistani comedian's sketch, funny as it might have been, and in this play, the EDL is this pervasive, all-consuming force is because it's a projection of their own mentality.
00:51:57.840They think of themselves tribally as a sort of inter-ethnic network, and they're thinking, the English have left it off for a really long time.0.83
00:52:06.020When are they going to come back and burn my place down?0.95
00:52:08.740Because we would burn their places down if they did something like that to us, or we would send out our young lads to go after Sikhs if they tried anything.0.96
00:52:15.760and that very frequently happens. But when your culture is one that has you believe in a1.00
00:52:21.840transcendent post-enlightenment state where your vote magically goes into it, and somehow your
00:52:28.360politician has to, you know, cohere with ideas about honor and the representation of his
00:52:34.400constituents' will, you're never going to line up with someone who doesn't believe in politics
00:52:39.160outside of corruption, where the people who are in power are either your relatives or they are
00:52:44.960illegal occupiers that must be destroyed via criminal networks and that is what we're facing
00:52:49.920i will also say there is still a subset of the english working class that does see themselves
00:52:55.080as much more connected in that way and they do actually occasionally go out and do the sorts of0.96
00:53:00.520violent things that um the muslims and these communities would expect them to to do and i do1.00
00:53:05.940think that this causes a lot of consternation within the british government it's why they spend1.00
00:53:10.840so much time uh clamping down on them uh but the reasons that it's ineffective not to actually
00:53:16.480advocate any sort of behavior like that is uh one most of the time they're being organized by people
00:53:21.680who are potentially state assets uh often in communication with the intelligence services
00:53:28.380given they've gone to prison themselves yes people with prison with prison records that would mean
00:53:32.500that they were prime targets for hey we can get a few years taken off of your sentence if you want
00:53:36.700to cooperate with us set up a website where the people who sign up to go to these protests have
00:53:40.920to give full name date of birth postcode phone number email address does this remind you of
00:53:45.960anybody who's been in the news recently um and uh also um just the fact that there is sadly the
00:53:53.760state is completely against them they do not have uh the backing of power whereas in one way or
00:54:00.340another these groups do yeah and it's not just a national organized crime syndicate i'm sort of
00:54:05.020round out with with this when i say it's happening everywhere it's all connected i mean the
00:54:09.300international smuggling trade everything it's all linked up to this it's a it's a it's a supply
00:54:14.280chain for customers perpetrators and and mary harrington points out in her write-up of the of
00:54:19.800the release of this uh network map if britain's real problem is ethnic matthias this would also
00:54:24.480explain more persuasively than political correctness why their crimes kept keep being
00:54:28.580reported only for inquiries to be restricted or slow walked by authorities or to happen to find
