Rob Reiner and his wife, Michelle, were killed by their own son, Donald Trump, in an apparent act of revenge for his hatred of President Donald J. Trump. To which I respond, "Rest in peace, or nothing at all."
00:00:00.000Hi everybody, this is Gad Saad. I wanted to spend a couple of minutes discussing the murder of Rob Reiner and President Trump's subsequent post about it to make an important general point.
00:00:19.440First, let me just mention, going down memory lane, when I first moved from Lebanon to Canada, one of the first shows that I watched was on The Family with Archie Bunker, the famous character who just would never exist in today's politically correct world, and his son-in-law, Meathead, who was played by Rob Reiner.
00:00:45.940And so, I hold very dear and nostalgic memories of that time. And of course, I've watched many movies by Rob Reiner that I thought were really heartwarming and lovely, Sleepless in Seattle and so on.
00:00:59.480And so, from that perspective, I very much appreciated Rob Reiner. On the other hand, of course, he was someone who was very partisan in his politics, specifically in terms of his animus and hatred towards Donald Trump.
00:01:15.920I've personally, you know, retorted to tweets that Rob Reiner had posted, and so I'm hardly one who is a fan of his, you know, political tribalism, and certainly unhinged behavior when it comes to Trump.
00:01:33.740That said, as you probably have heard, he allegedly, both he and his wife were murdered by their son, and so he's passed away.

00:01:49.540A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away.
00:02:01.760Together with his wife, Michelle, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind-crippling disease known as Trump derangement syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS.
00:02:16.320He was known to have driven people crazy by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights, as the Trump administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the golden age of America upon us, perhaps, like never before, may Rob and Michelle rest in peace.
00:02:37.100To which I responded, I fully understand that Mr. Reiner was unhinged in his delusional hatred of POTUS, but I think that it might have been best to simply say, rest in peace, or nothing at all.

00:04:02.380So in this case, President Trump, while he has every right to be deeply angered by the astounding collusion that was thrown at him in every possible way.
00:04:18.600I don't think it would be hyperbolic to say that no politician has ever faced the kind of unjust and unhinged, you know, collusions of trying to bring him down all the way up to assassinating him than President Trump has.
00:04:35.460But all good things in the right amount, at the right place, in the right occasion.
00:04:41.060Rob Reiner was just killed by his, allegedly by his son.
00:04:47.180Imagine how much more magnanimous and presidential Donald Trump would look if he said, I just want to take a minute to recognize that a great artist, American artist, has passed away.
00:05:04.660And notwithstanding any political differences that we, you know, we had with each other, may he rest in peace, right?
00:05:14.200But it wouldn't take away from the fact that everybody knows that President Trump is deeply frustrated by how unfairly people have treated him.
00:05:24.800But he would have used this opportunity to demonstrate that notwithstanding how unbelievably unfair Rob Reiner was to him, he will rise above it.
00:05:33.640So again, people, empathy is good, too little empathy is not good, too much empathy is not good.
