00:05:00.320 hello everybody welcome to shadow at night it's wednesday august the 21st 2024 on the
00:05:05.520 show tonight christine roncer is going to join she was at the brandon city meeting on monday
00:05:10.960 night and apparently it was quite contentious lots of people there kind of like the neverville
00:05:16.000 meeting a couple of weeks ago regarding the winnipeg metropolitan region plan 2050 so we're
00:05:23.920 going to have her on in just a couple of minutes to discuss that oddly last night after the show
00:05:28.800 went dark on social media and we were continuing with the extension on shadow davis.com i got a
00:05:34.880 message from both kens lee and drysdale who were guests on the show last night and they said
00:05:39.920 huh interesting look at this they sent me headlines and the headline said from the cbc
00:05:46.400 and they still hadn't even had it online yet it was that new it was reported on one of their new
00:05:52.640 shows on tv so they had to take a picture of their television set to send me this
00:05:56.320 premier wab canoe has what was the headline exactly here let me bring it up
00:06:03.520 wab canoe government he's the premier of manitoba again for those of you who don't live here
00:06:08.680 canoe government to allow municipalities to opt out of winnipeg metro region i thought
00:06:14.940 huh we're getting this news 10 minutes after we went off the air on social media last night go
00:06:19.740 figure just a coincidence right it has to be just they're not watching this show to see how many
00:06:26.940 people are watching this show and how many people are sharing information are they i don't know i
00:06:34.960 don't think they'd ever admit it we'll never find out but it's nice to know that we may be having
00:06:38.820 some kind of an impact on these people the more phone calls we make the more emails we drop on
00:06:44.500 them the more we just stop them remember these rm counselors briefs and mayors they're they're
00:06:50.680 people who live in the community and they know a lot of people they're neighbors right people they
00:06:55.980 grew up with and they're being stopped in coffee shops and stores and they're being asked hey what

00:07:07.260 answer i've heard that story from dozens of people already who've sent me emails at shadow davis at

00:10:22.100 thing to see every single night christine ronceray is our guest tonight hello christine thank you for
00:10:26.580 coming on the show hey hey i see somebody in the mirror behind you i can't hear you you're muted
00:10:32.420 but i can see you yeah turn your mute hi still can't hear you you're still muted
00:10:40.900 there you were there still muted there you are you were there you're good now hey shadow hi
00:10:53.620 everyone i think how's it going who's that looking at us in the mirror that's that's vivian hi vivian
00:11:01.240 how are you good night sweetheart see you see you sorry about that come on and say quickly hi i mean
00:11:12.160 she's probably wondering what mom's doing she would love that but then we're gonna have five
00:11:15.860 other jealous ones or four other jealous ones so that's true you gotta do it for one you gotta do
00:11:20.240 it for them all that's right hey listen on on a more somber note i'm very very sorry to hear about
00:11:25.480 the passing of your sister. You have the support of the entire community. We know that this was
00:11:31.500 expected for a while as she was ill, but it doesn't make it any easier when somebody that close to you
00:11:37.880 passes on. So you do have our condolences and respect and admiration for doing this as you're
00:11:47.400 going through all of that. Thank you, Christine. Thank you, Shadow, and thank you everybody for
00:11:52.020 all the prayers um so yeah thank you were you were in brandon the other night now we're going
00:11:58.440 to talk about the winnipeg 2050 we're going to talk about the winnipeg metropolitan region plant
00:12:02.420 obviously because uh christine and i guys to be completely clear with you we have talked on the
00:12:07.560 phone about this the last couple of days and uh there's some interesting takes that we have
00:12:12.560 as this may eventually encompass the entire province and that's why people in dauphin are
00:12:17.300 on high alert that's why people like rick wall is gathering gathering a team in winkler in the
00:12:22.300 morden area down there to make sure that they're ready for this should it hit them but you were in
00:12:27.960 brandon the other night i've got an article up here from the brandon sun but i don't want to
00:12:32.320 put that on all it says here i'm just going to give the headline council chambers overflow for
00:12:37.580 public hearing overflow that means a lot of people a lot of people were there so can you
00:12:43.920 tell us exactly how it was and what happened you know what they have an overflow room so the
00:12:49.180 chambers were packed with with obviously concerned people um not just man just not um brandonites
00:12:57.300 but manitobans and which makes sense guys we this is tax dollars so not just um local tax dollars
00:13:05.400 but also provincial tax dollars i mean we all know that there's fed tax dollars and there's also
00:13:09.080 There are going to be some grants and money coming from somewhere, but there's, we have,
00:13:14.500 we all have a right to be at all of these meetings.
00:13:17.920 So just because you don't belong in, in the WH or the WR, um, the WMR metropolitan region,
00:13:25.920 I always screw that up too.
00:13:27.660 Yeah.
00:13:28.080 Or Brandon, you don't have to, you don't have to feel bad because you're, you have a right
00:13:33.160 to speak.
00:13:34.020 It's a public meeting.
00:13:35.180 That means that everybody has the right to speak there.
00:13:38.220 Now, should they, they shouldn't even make it so that like, I spend money in Brandon, right? But they're using my tax dollars. My input should have something to do with it. With that said, should the globalists have their two cents in it? Probably not. I mean, they can try.
00:13:59.400 but the problem there is that we have to use common sense and the reality is is that the
00:14:06.460 global initiatives don't apply here so if you can prove to me that we should use those global
00:14:13.060 initiatives by showing me some stats on climate change then maybe you're right but since we don't
00:14:18.220 have any stats on this make-believe thing then then it's just that it's make-believe so why
00:14:23.620 Well, actually, Ken Drysdale was on the show last night with Ken Lee.
00:14:29.500 You've watched that, so you know.
00:14:31.260 Yeah, Ken is a great man for statistics.
00:14:34.060 He's a statistical engineer.
00:14:35.380 And he said, Shadow, you know, Ken, Shadow, do you know what percentage of global CO2
00:14:43.780 Manitoba is responsible for emitting if there was such a thing as a CO2 problem, which they
00:14:50.680 haven't proven yet?
00:14:51.380 I said, no, but I'm curious to find out.
00:14:53.280 he said 0.00462 percent yeah because we're largely driven by hydropower here in this province of 1.5
00:15:07.060 million people right if you take the geographical size of manitoba you can fit the uk and probably
00:15:14.760 ireland into manitoba and if you combine their population you're looking at 70 million people
00:15:20.380 in manitoba there's 1.5 million people there's lots of room to go around in this province and
00:15:27.040 i ask people you know the ones especially who are absolutely convinced that there is a climate
00:15:32.720 catastrophe brewing and it's only a matter of time before the world melts down i say to them
00:15:37.660 especially when they live in rural parts of any province i say to them look around when you wake
00:15:44.540 up in the morning i want you to go outside breathe the air because it always smells the best first
00:15:49.880 thing in the morning right to do all of that go outside breathe the air look at the sky
00:15:54.400 do you see a problem nothing no no there's there's no unless there happens to be some kind of
00:16:02.900 weirdness going on in the sky and we see that yeah but i think maybe that's why winnipeg needs to
00:16:10.900 do the the combining of the the other rms is because if it does get to the merit that merit
00:16:18.700 based which is all fake what they're saying that the city is going to need those green points
00:16:24.660 so if the city itself doesn't have the the area around it i don't know if they would be able to
00:16:31.520 achieve net net zero without the grasses and the crops and the trees from the municipalities
00:16:40.940 because the city centre, the actual city, is not inclusive of any of those areas.
00:16:50.140 So that might be why they need to try to include.
00:16:53.640 They must be one heck of a stir today, hey, when these other municipalities have a drop.
00:16:59.680 They have the option to drop out now.
00:17:02.940 Well, we're going to throw this up because people haven't seen maybe this whole thing yet.
00:17:07.920 So this is the CBC story that came out late last night before or sorry, after the the TV version of it, which is what I was talking about at the very beginning of the show, the screen captures that I was being sent.
00:17:21.140 Oh, look at Canoe said this 15 minutes after you went off the air last night.
00:17:25.960 Canoe government to allow municipalities to opt out of Winnipeg metro region.
00:17:30.500 So what does this mean?
00:17:31.380 There's a lot of people right now suggesting, all right, we win.
00:17:34.900 It's over.
00:17:35.580 We win.
00:17:36.180 They backed off.
00:17:36.820 that's not the case at all the fight continues it's just now that the rural municipalities can
00:17:42.800 if they choose opt out of this plan it doesn't mean the plan goes anywhere they'll continue on
00:17:48.940 if they have seven municipalities they'll do it with the seven member municipalities but
00:17:52.640 uh and they'll continue to try and bring the other municipalities on board with
00:17:57.140 whatever incentives that they can think of right but the manitoba ndp government plans to allow
00:18:02.940 municipalities to opt out of the winnipeg metro region the other thing that i found interesting
00:18:07.660 last night was canoe saying this completely and totally unilaterally it has not gone before the
00:18:15.580 government yet this is a law right this is bill c37 which is a law it's it's what is it the
00:18:22.620 manitoba planning act and they've amended the law to allow for the winnipeg metropolitan region
00:18:29.900 to exist and to have complete dominion over the area of winnipeg and and the surrounding rms
00:18:37.100 but now canoe just said well we're going to let those people out even though that's not
00:18:42.300 what the planning act amendment says so maybe no wait wait wait how could he do that without
00:18:48.940 consulting his case maybe they've looked at this for the last couple of weeks but they haven't had
00:18:53.420 a vote on it in the legislature they need to have a vote on it to change a lot don't they
00:18:57.500 Well, maybe they don't. If if that amendment would have broken rules on the autonomy of the council, maybe they were smart enough to look at this now that there's been some complaints. Right. Because we don't complain. They think we're all OK. So the council's never complained. So they think that their law is OK.
00:19:17.980 so if that if they think that the law is okay then we just go with it but if the councils have
00:19:25.500 stirred up enough to show you're actually breaching our local governance you're actually
00:19:31.600 stepping on a whole level of government we have three levels you're stepping on it i bet he got
00:19:38.600 a little panicked and said well you have the option to back out right like we have to give
00:19:43.460 them that option yeah you sure as hell do oh pardon my language wait a minute so you you think
00:19:48.100 that there's been that much pressure in this short a period of time from the rms because there's still
00:19:53.820 a lot of rms on board with this canoe said his government will remedy this situation of of the
00:19:59.900 municipalities automatically having to take part in this by bringing a freedom bill this fall to
00:20:06.200 amend what he describes as a decision imposed on winnipeg area municipalities by the former
00:20:11.580 conservative government and the former premiers brian pallister and heather steffensen so they're
00:20:17.400 blaming each other because the conservative party early early this morning put out a press release
00:20:22.100 saying it's the ndp's fault they did this technically what those those councillors
00:20:27.700 should have done is said for an injunction they should have said you can't even put this on us
00:20:33.160 because it it takes away our power so they should have said you're actually bumping on on our own
00:20:41.240 autonomy whatever you know what wait wait when you say that and that's something that christine
00:20:45.700 and i talked about you guys a couple of days ago but we did look into that and it is in the
00:20:51.460 manitoba act that they can do that believe it or not they actually have the power to be able to
00:20:58.100 override local governments which is amazing and they did it years ago with the amalgamation of
00:21:04.540 all the municipalities remember that yeah so they've done it before yeah like for this okay
00:21:12.680 if he's so this kind of branches into the rest of it so and i'm going to be jumping around sorry
00:21:18.260 shadow there's what i don't understand is that this same government is jumping on local governance
00:21:24.020 with the school boards as well he's he's appointing people who don't even belong to that area
00:21:29.920 like we have wait wait hold on like you got to explain that one if you're going to go into that
00:21:34.260 one, which is kind of a sidebar of the conversation, what's been going on in Steinbeck and in
00:21:38.320 Dauphin, is they've been trying to remove duly elected school trustees there and replace
00:21:43.920 them with provincial appointees based upon the complaints of some rainbow mafia in both
00:21:49.320 of those jurisdictions.
00:21:50.720 And so the Manitoba government is sticking their nose in Nello Altimore is the minister
00:21:54.680 of education.
00:21:55.880 I used to go to high school with him, whatever.
00:21:57.300 And yeah, he's the first guy to wear the LGBTQ t-shirt at the parades with his rainbow hat and proudly post a picture of himself like that on social media.
00:22:08.840 And now he's the one who's going to be sticking his nose into the school board affairs.
00:22:13.040 It's unbelievable. It is absolutely unbelievable that the NDP think that they can do this.
00:22:18.120 But there's no we need to fight back. Right. We have to see that this is all part of that same agenda.
00:22:23.960 If you look at Agenda 21 or 2030, everything from the UN, this is just another goal. 0.68
00:22:34.500 So a lot of people ask me, oh, well, there's Christine showing up again at these meetings. 0.99
00:22:40.040 Isn't it bad enough she's digging her nose in and putting her face in the school boards 1.00
00:22:44.180 and she's in school boards that she doesn't belong in or library boards or councils that 0.99
00:22:48.460 don't even belong to her?
00:22:49.440 well my problem there is like i say i'm manitoban that's just my job this is actually my duty
00:22:56.680 because they're using my tax dollars and this whole agenda is all connected shadow like it's
00:23:04.560 all this is just another point off of that and people who were paying attention to the school
00:23:10.940 stuff which was fantastic so thank you everyone um who were paying attention to that that was
00:23:16.680 because it was affecting parental rights grandparents but this issue with wmr and the
00:23:23.140 planning act and um i mean it's in every municipality like you have to go check your
00:23:29.760 own municipality um but it by the way by the way you guys can do that i showed you the other night
00:23:34.900 you could do that just by typing in the name of your municipality or your city or your town
00:23:39.280 into a google search you can use google for this i i know that most of you guys don't use google
00:23:43.780 anymore using brave excellent but you can type you at the name of your municipality town or city
00:23:48.680 into the google search bar and then plan the word plan and then 2050 and lo and behold some plan
00:23:56.240 for your area will come up it's almost guaranteed because there's over 400 municipalities cities and
00:24:03.260 towns who are involved with this through the partners for climate protection which is part
00:24:08.020 of the canadian federation of municipalities and the ones that don't show up if if yours doesn't
00:24:14.300 show up it's probably such a small rm that you probably know these guys so go and talk to them
00:24:19.080 you used to talk to them right before covid right before you were ostracized um go and chat with
00:24:24.740 them because they're the still the same people and you have that right to go and talk to your
00:24:29.540 locally elected people i don't know why wab canoe maybe made that announcement last night it says in
00:24:35.840 the cbc article here after taking some time and looking at the situation we think it's an important
00:24:41.360 step to return that power to locally elected democratic officials instead of trying to
00:24:47.700 centralize everything like the previous pc government it's just a load of crap because
00:24:53.400 that amalgamation was done under the ndp back in the early 2000s when greg selinger was the premier
00:25:00.280 in a statement issued monday the current pc opposition urged the canoe government to delay
00:25:04.800 implementation of plan 2050 now you've been talking to some conservative mlas what's their
00:25:12.180 take on it if you want to name names feel free go ahead i'd love to hear it well it's so funny
00:25:16.440 because yesterday they had a caucus meeting as well i believe that's what it's called and so the
00:25:21.320 conservatives all got together they came out just hours before this cbc announcement that um they
00:25:29.400 were saying well hopefully the NDP does the right thing and start looking at that what their
00:25:34.920 councillors are saying right and that they do the right thing so it's just like these these little
00:25:40.020 boys fighting in in a sandbox it's ridiculous they're throwing sand at each other come on guys
00:25:44.780 you're both at blame here um well they're both in on it is the thing and that goes back to the
00:25:51.200 John Q uh company that we talked about last night I think it was started by the conservatives but
00:25:56.720 the NDP are more than happy to ride that gravy train. So here are the 18 municipalities,
00:26:01.440 including the city of Winnipeg, that are involved in this regional plan, this metropolitan plan.
00:26:08.620 The ones that are opting out so far or have voiced opposition to it include Selkirk,
00:26:14.000 the city of Selkirk. We've got Headingley. We've got Niverville. We've got, is it East or West
00:26:21.940 st paul that's out i think it's easy which one yeah i can't think it's east st paul and
00:26:27.940 stonewall no rockwood st andrews i think it's st andrews these are the five out of the 18 and
00:26:35.520 i'm wondering why the other 13 especially this one up here i mean there's there's one way up here
00:26:40.920 donator that's it's on the lake this is lake winnipeg right here st clements is also on the
00:26:48.380 lake and st andrews which is hopefully going to opt out of this they're on the lake as well but
00:26:52.680 these guys are still involved yeah i wonder why have you ever looked at the number the people
00:26:57.840 that are involved with um with jq built and jq i don't know yeah yeah well a lot of the same people
00:27:05.640 who are on the board of that john q corporation that we discussed briefly last night and by the
00:27:10.880 way marty gold is doing a deep dive into this corporation so he's going to drop some bombs on
00:27:16.480 these guys with his latest podcast at actionline.ca a little bit later on this week and hopefully we
00:27:22.140 get marty on the show uh tomorrow night but these people like everybody who's who's looking into
00:27:28.520 like researching this stuff everybody i don't know it's wild watching everybody do their part
00:27:33.900 like even at at brandon shadow the people doing their part it was it was ridiculous neverville
00:27:39.920 it was it was wild it was just fantastic let's let's get back to brandon you were there was it
00:27:47.400 contentious were there people yelling were they well behaved what was the vibe in there well we
00:27:52.100 okay so the the chambers were full so they had an overflow room and the overflow room was standing
00:27:58.620 room only like afterwards like we was just packed then there was people in the hallway they had to
00:28:03.520 watch off of youtube because there just wasn't enough room um why they couldn't plan better and
00:28:08.720 it's so funny because there's a lady who said oh these are the same people who could have read how
00:28:13.880 many people were coming right like this is a pretty contentious issue they saw what was happening
00:28:18.320 in neverville they should have been able to read how many people were coming those are the same
00:28:22.180 people who are planning our lives for the next 30 years but like they couldn't tell at one event
00:28:29.240 who they should be having like how how many chairs they were going to need chairs yeah right for one
00:28:35.400 event anyway so i thought that was pretty clever um and this this lady also said that we didn't
00:28:41.960 vote these people in we voted them in for four years and we have no problem with that we didn't
00:28:46.000 vote vote their decisions in for 30 years and i thought that was this lady that you're talking
00:28:51.700 about you know what i remember her name and she was fantastic but she's um she spoke there was
00:28:57.060 so many good people lorraine spoke she was fantastic actually she was and it's so nice
00:29:03.100 to see such a little old lady and she just let them have it it was so very kindly but it yeah
00:29:10.680 it actually made us laugh so our room he did ask for decorum in the other room our room didn't hear
00:29:15.860 it because we were laughing and cheering and we didn't hear that part but um yeah and then you
00:29:22.440 could actually hear our echoes when we cheered on our the speakers on our side so what was the
00:29:27.520 attitude of the counselors there the board members they were very impartial they were quiet the whole
00:29:34.380 time which is really sad because even at the the winnipeg one um the first the first event for the
00:29:43.240 wmr um that neverville was the second event that didn't happen but the winnipeg one you could read
00:29:50.540 the smiles on a few of those counselors faces like you could just you know that they smirks not
00:29:56.100 smiling they were smirking they were finally somebody speaking the truth these guys were as
00:30:01.700 if they had no idea what we were even talking about and that's quite possible that they don't
00:30:06.360 have an idea of what we're talking about right so and that's okay we've got a they've got an earful
00:30:11.780 they've got some research to do and yet afterwards so this is what got me is that afterwards i was
00:30:18.660 lucky enough to go and talk to a beautiful clerk who knows a lot about these wonderful things and
00:30:23.300 She was actually a clerk in Selkirk prior to being in Brandon.
00:30:28.300 You're talking about a city clerk, like a bureaucrat?
00:30:31.800 Yeah, it's like a city clerk, yeah.
00:30:33.620 So it's the Brandon city clerk.
00:30:36.500 And so she writes the policy.
00:30:39.360 The boards make, or the council, the city council make policy, and she writes it.
00:30:46.060 So she has to do all the wording that nobody really understands.
00:30:48.740 And she tries to make it so that people do understand.
00:30:51.420 And so I was very appreciative of that.
00:30:52.980 And she's like, well, just so you know that because this is so contentious, it's actually not this board who decides.
00:30:59.920 And I'm like, whoa, wait a minute.
00:31:02.000 Of course, this is the board that decides.
00:31:04.040 This is City Council.
00:31:05.840 And so how this whole situation works is City Council needs to do a proposal or needs to put in a plan.
00:31:13.240 They have a mandate to put in a plan.
00:31:16.180 That's part of the Planning Act.
00:31:17.800 Which is part of the Manitoba.
00:31:19.480 Okay, right.
00:31:20.060 Yeah, so all of them have to do it.
00:31:21.620 and then and it's supposed to be done by january 1st i believe anyway so they get a committee
00:31:27.760 together and they hire this committee and it's called a commission and they go out and they make
00:31:32.940 a proposal for a plan and they bring that forward to the boards and this board um so this plan that
00:31:42.140 was made for brandon city was made by brandon city commission planning commission and they um
00:31:48.640 they bring this plan forward then we have a hearing and then they were supposed to decide
00:31:53.740 on it that's the old way of doing it now there's this i don't know when that came in maybe it was
00:31:59.380 at the same time as bill 37 i'm not sure when this came in but if it's contentious it doesn't
00:32:05.260 go to the brandon council it goes to munis the manitoba um what is it called the municipal board
00:32:12.440 the manitoba municipal board i'm like well what do you mean those are appointed officials
00:32:17.280 appointed by the government to sit on a board who would if it's contentious decide for
00:32:24.700 these rms like whoa that doesn't make any sense and she says no i know what she's trying to say
00:32:30.820 but that's how it is and so i'm like i don't know if she's right but shadow if you could go back to
00:32:36.940 um the cbc article that was closed it out already i'm not going to go back to it but it's at the
00:32:42.920 bottom of the article you were talking about right so yeah so at the bottom of the article
00:32:47.140 the last two paragraphs and it says manitoba municipalities have also complained about a
00:32:52.180 different pallister government initiative that has been imposed on municipalities the decision
00:32:58.460 to allow unelected municipal board a provincial body to reverse land use decisions made by cities
00:33:05.560 towns and municipalities canoe said this sorry canoe said his government is still reviewing the
00:33:12.660 expanded powers granted to the municipal board but has not yet come to a decision about it
00:33:18.040 so what she was saying was a hundred percent right and I was just flabbergasted that this
00:33:24.200 is even possible so now this committee what happened in Brandon that committee did their job
00:33:31.120 they brought a proposal even though it stunk they brought a proposal forward we did our job and
00:33:37.500 other people were there they were both sides so some people were for some people were against
00:33:42.360 and then i find out that it's not even the council who decides like brandon we should be
00:33:48.540 every municipality should be just what is going on here so this is the manitoba municipal board
00:33:55.520 that decides not the actual elected members of the city of brandon or whatever municipality are
00:34:02.560 they trying to drag other municipalities into this brandon plan as well no not in the brandon plan
00:34:07.280 everyone has to have their own um they do have regions like the the there's a municipality above
00:34:13.060 and a municipality below they do have to interact with which makes sense and i have no problem with
00:34:20.320 them interacting with each other because that sounds really good right if you're going to need
00:34:24.000 water you need to yeah yeah yeah that's fine you interact sure that's fine but why are they trying
00:34:28.940 to drag 18 municipalities in this region together and out in brandon they're not because they say
00:34:34.960 in the winnipeg plan that hey you know what we're losing business people are uh thinking about
00:34:39.500 coming here and putting down roots and putting head offices here but they quickly discover that
00:34:44.600 winnipeg doesn't have a plan to work with selkirk or resho or mcdonald or headingly or dun otter
00:34:50.300 and so they go to calgary ottawa or halifax instead but it doesn't matter in brandon
00:34:55.980 and i what i think the reason that's where i go back to i think the reason why the city needs it
00:35:02.100 is because they won't be able to reach their green targets
00:35:04.760 without their neighbors.
00:35:07.000 I really don't think that they can
00:35:08.560 just because they're stuck in the perimeter.
00:35:12.360 And in the perimeter...
00:35:13.460 The green target would be zero emissions.
00:35:16.020 And they won't be able to make it.
00:35:18.140 But we can't...
00:35:18.920 You know what Ken Drysdale said last night?
00:35:21.460 Again, a statistical engineer.
00:35:23.280 He said that Manitoba is probably right now carbon neutral.
00:35:28.660 If not better.
00:35:29.660 Carbon neutral.
00:35:30.180 Yeah.
00:35:30.700 If, in fact, carbon, which is the gas of life on planet Earth, which is what all life on Earth is made out of, carbon is food for trees, all the vegetation on Earth, right?
00:35:48.280 If somehow they've decided that is the gas that's going to kill us in the long run, which, by the way, is still a very contentious thing, it's not decided, even though there's a lot of people out there who say the science is settled.
00:36:00.540 it's not a far from far from settled it is even if even if it is settled then why do they need
00:36:09.520 to do anything if manitoba is already a carbon sinkhole because that's what they meant by by
00:36:15.200 being competitive in order to sell our green credits they need more green credits to sell
00:36:20.320 and then we're more competitive because we'll actually have the green credits to sell that
00:36:24.320 that's the only thing that actually makes sense on it because otherwise none of it makes sense
00:36:28.500 so i well actually none of it makes sense it's just it doesn't make sense anyway
00:36:33.700 it is the stupidest thing that i have ever seen in my life brandon i mean brandon is a city of
00:36:40.820 50 000 people and it's out in the middle i talked about this last week it's out in the middle of
00:36:45.680 nowhere pretty much right in the middle of the prairie right i mean do you see smokestacks
00:36:50.740 billowing noxious fumes into the air when you drive past brandon on the number one highway of
00:36:56.120 course you don't not even see that in winnipeg you don't see it you know where you do see that
00:37:00.240 occasionally is in alberta they do have higher carbon emissions in alberta because of the oil
00:37:04.320 sands obviously and all the refineries and whatnot that they still have there i think they still have
00:37:09.300 them there if not they're in bc you know yeah like i the whole thing is just insanity so i the
00:37:16.500 whole thing doesn't make sense but if you were to if you want to be competitive like even if you're
00:37:22.520 they're saying this competitive thing where they're not any more competitive
00:37:25.480 from Edmonton, who's doing the exact same thing. Like when you do,
00:37:29.120 you have to differentiate yourself, right? If you're selling, if,
00:37:32.560 if you're selling tomatoes and somebody else is smelling tomatoes,
00:37:35.260 you better make your tomatoes taste better.
00:37:37.180 You better get them there faster. They better have longevity.
00:37:40.160 There has to be something that differentiates your product.
00:37:43.100 I don't understand what they think they're doing.
00:37:45.920 That's going to differentiate you themselves in order to be competitive in
00:37:49.320 any way.
00:37:49.720 it's it's a scam in my opinion i'm going to say this out loud and everybody watching knows this
00:37:57.160 already and you you know this too it's a scam it's a scam for control they are trying to push
00:38:03.220 the un agenda 2030 on us it is written in the plan it is written in the winnipeg metropolitan
00:38:09.220 region plan it's like it's on page four it's what ken lee said last night and i've read that
00:38:14.140 document myself twice and i can tell you that it's mentioned a few times in there you know
00:38:19.060 and the words sustainability, the words diversity and equity are included in there.
00:38:25.580 Diversity, equity, and it's in all of those, it's in all of those goals. So again,
00:38:29.400 it comes with the books and the school staff that I'm working with, but it's also with this,
00:38:34.640 all of those goals, it's in the healthcare garbage that they're trying to put out.
00:38:38.520 You know, it just makes me laugh. And I know Ken mentioned it yesterday, like in Brandon,
00:38:42.760 they actually said that wheelchairs are part of a transportation. And I mean, I'm not laughing
00:38:47.920 at people who have to use wheelchairs but i'm sorry that what wheelchairs used to make them
00:38:52.660 mobile that's not a form of transportation it's so different than in the wmr plan they're using
00:38:59.320 rowing as transportation to get to work no rowing i don't i don't know if anybody including
00:39:04.960 wait wait wait hold it hold it what what rowing and skating rowing and skating on their way to
00:39:12.900 come on who's going to skate their way to superstore like are you kidding me let's go to
00:39:19.480 costco everybody get their skates on come on and that's what's in there just that it's it makes it
00:39:28.540 into a cartoon and it's so laughable but yeah it's in there so do we know christine uh who wrote
00:39:36.300 these plans where these plans come from the blend i think the branded plan is called the clean city
00:39:41.380 plan isn't it clean city healthy city isn't it healthy city right sorry and winnipeg's is called
00:39:47.520 complete city yeah as opposed to 15 minute city or smart city all the same same verbiage just
00:39:54.020 different names do we know who's writing these plans because i know where they can go to order
00:39:58.320 one if you know they need a new one yeah yeah yeah they you know what there's um from the um
00:40:05.280 the federation of municipalities that's the so that's the canadian branch of all the
00:40:10.940 means that's the template they have the template if the cities and municipalities can't afford
00:40:16.940 to spend money on a consultant to write one of these plans they'll go and take it verbatim off
00:40:21.760 the federation of municipalities website but i'm wondering how much money they're paying these
00:40:25.860 consultants who by the way do exist and have existed since 2017 to write specifically these
00:40:32.720 consultants specifically to write smart city plans on behalf of cities towns and municipalities not
00:40:38.580 just in canada but all across the world and i'm not sure what they charge cool because the the
00:40:44.840 people who are hired and i think he meant well um he of course does his explanation in brandon he
00:40:50.240 did this and i don't know his name but he did this explanation beforehand um about what his plan is
00:40:55.660 going to be like and um i actually kind of felt bad for him because he had to sit there and see
00:41:00.660 his plan getting shot down i mean he had some some very nice who's this just some guy or is it
00:41:07.660 Yeah. You know what? He, I guess he's the third,
00:41:10.160 the third party guy who would have been part of the commission or hired by the
00:41:14.640 commission to make the plan. I'm not sure how that actually turned out,
00:41:18.080 but the poor guy had to sit there in the front row and just take it one after
00:41:21.540 the next of people.
00:41:25.620 You reap what you sow brother. That's it. Sorry, buddy. I mean,
00:41:28.860 you come up with a stupid plan where people are going to roller skate to work
00:41:32.060 every day or swim or surf or skate. Then that's what you should do.
00:41:37.320 you should have to sit there and take it yes oh and like and it was so funny because this one
00:41:42.400 person um i i don't know if it was a confused person very low voice very feminine looking
00:41:50.300 person she identified herself as a she so we'll leave it like that um at the beginning she
00:41:56.580 mentioned that she biked there and she needed to mention that she biked there which is wonderful
00:42:01.460 but nobody else biked there like not even the guys who proposed it they didn't bike there
00:42:05.960 and you took their pogo sticks yeah
00:42:09.440 like i mean shadow and i are laughing because of how ludicrous this is we're not laughing at
00:42:19.120 any person okay well maybe i but like it's it's gone too far it's cartoonish and if we can't get
00:42:26.760 past that even my kids can understand that the rowing to work would not be happening by the
00:42:34.440 jennifer lady who presented it i'm i'm pretty sure she would not have skated with her nice
00:42:40.160 beautiful heels and dress in order to present this uh at anything i i'm pretty sure like there's
00:42:46.960 nothing rational we need to go after common sense let we do let me ask you because of all of this
00:42:55.200 ridiculousness in these plans that you've just pointed out i'm not sure if anybody commented on
00:43:01.600 the ridiculousness during the brandon meeting the other night or at the first winnipeg meeting
00:43:06.320 but how can these and because you've been to these meetings how can these counselors who who
00:43:15.800 make up the members of the board of the winnipeg metro region or the brandon region
00:43:20.000 how can they sit there with straight faces how how do you think they're actually able to take
00:43:26.180 this stuff seriously are they a different breed of human being who's able to sit there and and
00:43:32.700 lie bald-faced right to their residents their taxpayers it's it's really where do they actually
00:43:40.480 believe this nonsense i don't know if they've read it i don't know if they could stand there
00:43:46.160 and read it if you read it like selkirk read it then you know where you would stand and i don't
00:43:52.140 know i'm gonna try to be like i don't think you could read it and not see it so i'm gonna say
00:43:57.120 that they didn't read it or they may be connected and maybe marty's gonna have to reveal something
00:44:02.680 that i don't know because then that would make sense because if they read it and they don't
00:44:08.560 see it like selkirk saw it then there's something else up and i'm not saying right i don't want to
00:44:14.360 be any saying that that there's any shady stuff going on but yeah we've smelled a skunk let me
00:44:21.880 say there's there's there's a lot of shady stuff going on there's a ton of shady we've got emails
00:44:28.280 by the way anybody who is watching from the manitoba government right now we've got emails
00:44:34.860 yeah yeah i know i've been able to listen to some of ken's stuff man there are some really
00:44:40.740 wonderful people very smart intelligent people but with that said you do not have to have a
00:44:45.900 master's in anything you don't have to have a degree you don't have to you don't even have to
00:44:49.420 have your grade 12 to see that you're not growing to work guys anybody can read this anybody can
00:44:57.200 listen and use their that brain in their head and see that this is wrong so please don't think that
00:45:04.640 these people that are working we don't there's no heroes ken's not a hero shadow's not a hero guys
00:45:10.040 everybody's working together and this is actually one of the first things that i'm seeing so largely
00:45:15.220 like i thought the parental rights one was was so large and so many people are coming forward with
00:45:19.980 this but because this is now and it's not just parental rights now this involves everybody this
00:45:25.380 is the land that your doorstep is on this is actually the house that you're living in so this
00:45:31.000 affects everybody so now i love seeing the numbers of people connecting it wait till the next do you
00:45:37.260 know like have you been keeping do we have people keeping an eye for when the next meeting is going
00:45:42.180 to be scheduled well we were talking about my my crew was talking about that so i'm actually
00:45:47.060 registered and when marty when i met marty um i actually walked up so neverville i was stuck on
00:45:53.520 the outside um i couldn't get in then they called that they were going to put a 40 day and that was
00:45:58.980 very public that he said that now we can't find it in his procedures or policies or anything that
00:46:05.120 it has to be 40 days but he said it so publicly that if if he doesn't follow that then he'll look
00:46:11.880 like an absolute fool another thing is is that i'm already registered and that's what i asked
00:46:17.540 marty to check so marty i think has it on on uh recorded that he because there was a security guard
00:46:25.160 that stepped in front of me so that i couldn't ask mike more something but marty was on the other
00:46:29.020 side and so he's like well what's the question and i said what's the protocol what's the procedure
00:46:34.140 that we need that when you move this date what's the procedure in order to register again or are
00:46:40.860 you continuing like all we're doing is moving venue and moving date so that's what he said is
00:46:45.500 that we're actually just taking the full structure and we're moving it to a new venue and a new date
00:46:49.780 and that was before wab mentioned anything so right this was that day in neverville so what
00:46:57.600 he's technically supposed to do is give us 40 days i don't know if he's going to give us 40 days
00:47:02.660 notice per like before the meeting i think within the next 40 days he has to announce it and i think
00:47:09.060 that it could be two days after the announcement i think would probably make sense but they're
00:47:15.120 gonna try they're gonna try and make sure that they get as few people there as they possibly
00:47:19.340 can so it's gonna be on us it's gonna be on us and and make sure everybody knows and i'll tell
00:47:24.380 you when we do find out when and where it is you and i can go together christine on a bicycle built
00:47:28.620 for two oh wouldn't that be nice and we'd be we'd be making we'd be making green green points
00:47:34.220 together no i'll be driving my suv because that's i'll probably do a costco trip at the same time
00:47:42.200 and we're going to come on anyway well look uh you stay on this all right i know that you've
00:47:48.800 been staying on this also guys christine and i talked on the phone was it today or yesterday
00:47:53.140 i can't remember we're talking about now we need uh to get information sessions out there
00:47:58.560 What we want is to get one north of the city and south of the city in obviously one of the 18 rural municipalities or municipalities or cities or towns so that we can give you guys information on the plan.
00:48:14.700 What's included in the plan?
00:48:16.680 They've done a frequently asked questions part of the on their website.
00:48:19.520 And the problem with that is the answers are all BS.
00:48:24.620 I mean, I made a comedy routine of it on the show last night, for goodness sakes.
00:48:28.400 it's absolutely abysmal they either lie or they obfuscate that's what they're doing right and and
00:48:34.800 further who's the chairman again michael moore michael moore the chairman of the winnipeg
00:48:39.920 regional or sorry winnipeg municipality winnipeg municipal no winnipeg metropolitan board i see i
00:48:46.320 screw it up too uh he's the chairman of the board he was interviewed by former cbc reporter marianne
00:48:51.200 cloac in neverville a couple of weeks ago and when she started talking about the un 2030 agenda he
00:48:57.760 He looked at her and he said, now you're just making stuff up.
00:49:01.820 Excuse me, but it's right in your document on page four.
00:49:07.020 And then you got the mayor of Winnipeg, Scott Gillingham,
00:49:09.480 running around saying, well, there's a lot of misconceptions out there.
00:49:12.420 Dude, it's in your own literature.
00:49:14.000 So I would not be surprised if they take that offline
00:49:17.840 and they rework it and take that wording out.
00:49:21.960 Okay, so what we have to remember is that just because,
00:49:24.560 okay we have the 40-day thing before this plan has to be said now with the fact that people
00:49:33.880 or councils can jump out technically the plan doesn't they'll have to revamp the plan because
00:49:39.840 the plan actually has that so i need everybody to make sure they don't see this as a massive win
00:49:48.000 and say we're done they need to stay and be due diligence like okay so they we have to remember
00:49:55.240 that every municipality even those guys that jump out let's pretend that they do actually opt out
00:50:03.400 they'll have to revamp the current proposal to have these people out or have these councils out
00:50:10.700 these rms out but they also will have to do their own now their own will still have the same verbiage
00:50:17.740 because there's reasons well possibly there's there's reasons why these guys are doing it
00:50:22.860 now do these guys want to opt out because they lost their autonomy or that they think that
00:50:28.600 the global agenda is bs so if they feel that they've lost their autonomy and they're going
00:50:35.800 to do their own proposal everyone in those areas actually everyone in the province has to pay
00:50:42.560 attention to everybody's everybody's business this is manitoba that we're talking about everybody
00:50:47.960 has to pay attention and in those rms that opt out of the wmr they still have to do their own
00:50:55.480 proposal and it's going to have most likely the same verbiage so we have to continue saying no
00:51:03.200 because we're not saying no just to this proposal we're actually saying no to a few things we're
00:51:08.520 saying no to the proposal we're saying no to the un garbage we're saying no i don't think bill 37
00:51:14.560 was a good thing to allow all of this stuff so the wmr shouldn't even exist we shouldn't have
00:51:20.160 even had the collaboration collaboration yes the the combination what i think is that we need
00:51:29.020 to make sure going forward that this can never happen again which means the power needs to be
00:51:34.080 arrested from the province. That power for them to have over municipalities, first of all, should
00:51:38.980 never exist in the first place. And I would also beg to say that if you put a plan forward, I would
00:51:45.020 like to change the procedures and policies that if they put a plan forward, it has to come across
00:51:50.240 as a referendum or at least a vote where you get 51% of the people say yes. And consultation must
00:51:57.940 be more than two meetings. I mean, seriously, if they're talking to the WMR, they're talking about
00:52:02.980 a region that encompasses nearly a million people and they want to try and get away with
00:52:08.180 two public meetings in the dog days of summer really so many ridiculous things the whole idea
00:52:14.500 is that they kind of throw the the data sharing like are you kidding me why do you why does why
00:52:20.020 does the whole world need to know what what brandon or selkirk or dunatar is doing what
00:52:25.780 what difference does the rest of the world need that for like keep data to yourself because they
00:52:32.180 have that's part of it data sharing oh okay go ahead please tell us about the data sharing oh
00:52:39.060 yeah like that's part of the the whole thing they they that's right in the plan that they're also
00:52:43.540 going to share your data impulsory that that's yeah that it's your your data is being shared
00:52:50.900 so data like personal data well how much how much electricity you're using
00:52:55.620 right it all comes to your score oh right that's in there so that's right in the plans all of the
00:53:03.480 plans it's all about sharing data like and those are the things that they're sneaking in another
00:53:07.960 thing like okay let's pretend this was a good good plan okay they can't no wait wait before you
00:53:14.580 continue let me just say you know again manitoba government officials you're watching this right
00:53:19.080 now i don't think the plan stinks completely there are some things in it that are okay yeah sure we
00:53:26.500 want clean water but when you guys say that are you saying that now the water is substandard and
00:53:31.000 we need to clean it up is that what that means um also the transportation part of it if you take
00:53:36.300 away the uh the designated corridors where gas-powered vehicles can only travel whenever
00:53:43.380 you say take that out I like the idea of having transit going from the heart of downtown Winnipeg
00:53:50.040 out to Headingley or out to Springfield or up to Selkirk that's a great idea it connects the area
00:53:55.640 absolutely but take all the UN crap out of it all that 2030 nonsense and all the DEI crap all the
00:54:04.520 woke stuff that's got to go and Ken Drysdale pointed out last night uh this thing has been
00:54:10.580 together for a while i think pallister started this in what 2016 or 2017 and the original plans
00:54:16.340 did not include any of this garbage so somehow after he left maybe when stephenson came in
00:54:24.460 they somehow got to the bureaucrats and probably ickley canada and got this stuff into the plan
00:54:32.100 that's what i think yeah i agree with you wholeheartedly i i don't even if they even if
00:54:39.680 the the wonderful things that that that they do have like the good parts that they do have of it
00:54:44.080 are so fiscally unattainable that it's a those that would be even if everything was nice about
00:54:52.160 it it's so fiscally on a table unattainable it makes you question why is this even in a plan
00:54:57.480 but then when you see the data sharing and the um that we can take your well away we the power
00:55:06.800 that they're going to be given the very next day then you kind of go oh you don't have to deliver
00:55:12.820 on the promises but you do get the benefit of my data you do get the benefit of expropriation
00:55:21.220 because we agreed to this plan so both sides are not delivering the goods so they get to take your
00:55:28.900 data away but they're also not giving you that nice ride that they promised from um the city
00:55:34.520 center down out to uh neverville right like and maybe you can only take take that bus or train or
00:55:41.840 whatever if you've got a certain climate score 100 you have to go with your stick all the way
00:55:47.640 to the bus stop and then you can get on the bus you get on your skateboard after that take you
00:55:52.980 to the way station i haven't got a skateboard here you can rent one as long as you've got a
00:55:57.780 climate score over 925 christine thank you uh for all the work that you've been doing and putting
00:56:03.140 all of this together you and your crew and when we do get some venues for these information sessions
00:56:09.620 we're going to have to get them out as soon as possible so people at least can have some notice
00:56:13.940 as to when and where it's going to be yeah i think we have to get at least at least get those
00:56:18.820 informations uh one north and one south um i do think that that's the best thing so get some ideas
00:56:24.900 guys we we need your help on that okay so listen um christine and i have been looking around so i'm
00:56:32.100 talking to you guys watching this right now if you know of a place that we can use and i'm thinking
00:56:37.540 about an indoor venue here because we never know what the weather is going to be like i'd love to
00:56:41.540 have it in the backyard of a field you know barn whatever that'd be so cool wouldn't that information
00:56:47.380 session in a bob's barn but we just can't depend on the weather so if we can find some kind of an
00:56:52.660 indoor venue with a capacity of what would you say i mean for two meetings i don't know if all
00:56:59.140 those people from neverville would be there and they would have brought a friend it would have
00:57:02.420 been huge i mean we don't have to preach to the choir we need some new people so the people are
00:57:07.780 bringing more i mean look if you if you guys can go ahead and just read the plan yourself
00:57:12.900 that's fine but i mean ken lee ken drysdale christine myself you know and many other people
00:57:18.660 whose names we haven't yet mentioned marty gold obviously would come up um will be there presenting
00:57:25.460 what's in this plan right and you mentioned the data sharing just now that's something that i've
00:57:31.500 neglected to talk about regarding this because it just there's so much in it that it slipped my
00:57:35.900 mind but that's probably one of the more egregious things that's in it i forgot to mention so thank
00:57:41.800 you for bringing that up tonight but you guys if you can uh come up with a place you got an email
00:57:48.640 christine because i don't want people sending me emails i've already got like 500 i've got to still
00:57:53.220 cleanup and this has been going on for the last week you know what we do concerned citizens at
00:57:59.100 proton mail actually okay wait a minute hold on i'm going to throw that back up on the screen here
00:58:03.760 because i know that you had it up originally so here let me put this up i think it's yeah there
00:58:10.760 it is okay so what is that oh that's yeah that's uh i don't even know which one that is you know
00:58:17.140 what i what's that i don't know what that is what is that i don't do any of the tech stuff as you
00:58:26.040 can tell i've got i've got five kids to a monkey type that um that was you know somebody infected
00:58:33.020 with monkey pox that's like cnc okay and that's what i think you need for either instagram is
00:58:40.060 that possible shadow i don't know enough yeah sure it is or is that uh twitter could be x it could
00:58:45.540 be x it could be instagram all right we need an email though we need the email because people are
00:58:51.880 going to be emailing and hey you can do it here you can do it there we can rent this place we can
00:58:56.040 rent that place but we're going to need these places quickly you guys because the sooner we
00:59:01.320 can get this we don't know when this meeting is going to be we don't know when the winnipeg board
00:59:05.680 is going to tell us when we have to go there and we want everybody well informed before that happens
00:59:10.700 so these meetings need to happen sooner rather than later we need venues we need dates yeah
00:59:15.400 we need those venues that we need dates as fast as possible um so what's the email yeah that's a
00:59:21.220 good question i don't know i don't know because i don't email myself and it's usually that i get
00:59:27.580 my wonderful friend karen to take care of that part because the stuff that we do we have to
00:59:33.320 remember that the people who show up actually have real jobs and real lives and yeah no i i get it
00:59:39.660 but it would help to have an email right now in this moment.
00:59:44.860 Do you have emails that are populated in that address right now?
00:59:49.960 Are you looking right at it?
00:59:52.380 ConcernedCitizens at ProtonMail.com is what I'm assuming.
00:59:56.500 Oh, come on.
00:59:58.900 My girls, my wonderful ladies who help me out, 1.00
01:00:03.320 actually help me out.
01:00:04.860 I hardly help them out.
01:00:06.860 They do it all.
01:00:08.020 are you guys watching this right now you guys who are helping christine out if you are please
01:00:12.400 text her the email address so we can put it on the show that would help right now oh there's
01:00:19.220 there's another one called dignity of risk proton mail and we have so there's two
01:00:25.360 concerned citizens canada at protonmail.com okay that's just stay with one one is good
01:00:31.440 please yes we don't need dignity of risk okay whatever that is i don't want to get into that
01:00:38.480 that's probably from some other campaign so what is the concerned yep citizens yeah canada
01:00:46.400 at protonmail.com all right all one word obviously
01:00:53.260 nothing in between so concerned citizens canada at protonmail.com and what i need
01:01:01.340 guys is i want a north and a south of winnipeg and we needed the location right shadow that's
01:01:07.900 going to be big enough to hold i don't know what do you say 200 500 i want thousands of us knowing
01:01:13.700 about it but look at the bottom of the screen and tell me that's right concerned citizens canada
01:01:21.620 at protonmail.com that looks right to me hang on okay concerned citizens canada at protonmail.com
01:01:30.740 yes hang on we're going to make sure that live tv it's always so much fun
01:01:37.140 i yeah exactly shadow you know if this were pre-recorded we'd have edited all of this out
01:01:43.640 we have had the email for you boom right there so we're you're actually seeing the what goes on
01:01:48.180 backstage here there i just turned shadow i just texted it to you well it's on the bottom of the
01:01:56.180 screen concerned citizens canada at pro okay good so that's i think we're good that's where
01:02:01.520 okay so i'm going to leave that up on the screen for a few minutes so you guys watching you can
01:02:05.760 write this down concerned citizens canada at protonmail.com you can send us where point us
01:02:11.660 in the right direction we need a venue that can hold maybe five let's say 500 a venue that an
01:02:17.680 indoor venue that can hold 500 people one north of the city one south of the city so we can have
01:02:23.300 these information meetings. You can meet all of us, all the people who've been working behind
01:02:27.280 the scenes. There's going to be lots of people there. We can answer your questions either
01:02:31.260 from the stage or one-on-one. We'd love to see you there. It's not going to be one of these
01:02:39.040 hush-hush secret things because I'm sick of that stuff, quite frankly. I don't believe that anybody
01:02:44.800 who attends one of these meetings should be embarrassed in any way, shape, or form. We are
01:02:49.620 talking like christine said earlier in this conversation we are talking about the land your
01:02:55.040 house is on the land that leads to your front door that these governments and these appointed
01:03:01.700 boards are trying to screw with and that means that you should have a say right we're not going
01:03:07.280 to fill your head with any kind of false miss this or any other kind of bad information we're going
01:03:13.080 to give you the information as printed in the proposal. You can ask questions about it. And the
01:03:20.820 thing about this proposal is that it's so vague in many cases, and there's so much word salad in
01:03:28.460 it, that sometimes they've got a glossary. They've got a glossary in this proposal so that we know
01:03:34.720 what they mean when they say green space as opposed to brown space or whatever other euphemism
01:03:41.940 they decide to throw in there which by the way is based upon UN SDG speak it's this new language
01:03:48.580 they're trying to throw at us and the density like they have graphs so like density I think we had to
01:03:54.240 there was a few of us chatting and we actually had to jump in order to understand the density
01:03:58.740 we had to actually read it here jump down for a definition go back to a graph do some math
01:04:04.360 calculations and we find out we don't want to live like that so so it's right it's in there
01:04:10.760 and it's convoluted but yeah but when it comes to i don't know uh it's just something that popped
01:04:16.240 into my head you know there's there's going to be locations coming up pretty soon because how many
01:04:21.100 of these towns have fall suppers fall suppers that's right but those usually aren't until
01:04:27.800 october right that might be too late timbre is a big time i don't know i just i love the fall
01:04:33.900 suppers i know maybe i don't know i just i don't know why that just came into my head shadow maybe
01:04:39.680 Okay, so look at the email is flashing across the bottom of the screen right now. Concerned Citizens Canada at ProtonMail.com. If you guys have got an idea for a venue, an indoor venue north of the city and south of the city, we need two of these information sessions. Please send an email to that email address. Christine will get that and then we'll be able to try and procure something moving forward. And once we do have these two locations nailed down and the dates nailed down, we will immediately get on promoting that on social media so you guys can spread it out.
01:05:09.680 around it's important that we get people together and get them informed and answer as many questions
01:05:15.040 as we possibly can without misconception without any kind of ambiguity absolutely do not think
01:05:24.540 just because you're if if what wab has said and we and the wmr says oh well we're done with this
01:05:31.160 plan because we have to revamp it we're not done guys we are far from done because if your
01:05:36.900 municipality jumps out it doesn't mean you're out it just means there's another plan coming
01:05:43.440 yeah that's right they're not going to they're not going to go away so easily christine i got
01:05:47.860 to go i've still got other things i want to cover here before i go to the extension we've got
01:05:51.980 possibly a massive rail strike that's going to affect the entire country coming up as early as
01:05:57.700 tonight i think it's going to start tonight okay thank you shadow good night everybody i'm out of
01:06:02.360 here i'll be watching shadow thank you all right thank you christine talk to you later yep bye
01:06:07.280 uh christine ronsere you guys she has been working hard behind the scenes and her sister
01:06:12.040 just passed away after a long battle excuse me a long battle with uh with cancer and
01:06:17.720 that's what makes it so much more impressive to me uh some people might think how could she keep
01:06:26.900 doing this with the circumstances that she finds herself in right now christine's got her own
01:06:33.780 children and now she's got her sister's kids to worry about and she does not want this dystopian
01:06:43.900 future for them you saw one of them earlier in the show tonight peeking out you know through
01:06:49.280 into the mirror and onto our screen they're young they've got if we help them a bright future in
01:06:59.120 front of them and that's what Christine is fighting for and that's what her sister wanted her to fight
01:07:04.020 for too so that's what she's doing and she's doing everything she can occasionally Christine and I
01:07:10.840 will have conversations and I rib her a lot about sending me emails on a Friday Friday night at 11
01:07:17.240 30. She wouldn't do that unless she thought it was important. Um, we have these conversations
01:07:25.140 and there are days because she also homeschools these kids. There are days where she thinks I
01:07:32.820 can't do this anymore. I need help. And yet it doesn't feel like anybody wants to step up and
01:07:41.860 take over some of the things that she's looking after so what I'm hoping for here is that some of
01:07:49.940 you can maybe reach out to Christine and offer some assistance in whatever way best suits the
01:07:57.940 both of you maybe join her team join her crew there are people that she does work with I know
01:08:03.980 them and they're all very very good people but we need more this this thing that's going on right
01:08:12.300 now in manitoba the resistance that has formed so quickly and so loudly in the past couple of weeks
01:08:19.900 has been absolutely amazing what i want you guys watching in other provinces right now and states
01:08:26.800 for that matter i know there's people watching all across the world to this this is happening
01:08:30.760 worldwide this is not just a canadian phenomenon this whole 15 minute city smart city clean city
01:08:36.620 compact city whatever kind of whatever the title they have for it is this is happening all across
01:08:45.360 the world we have figured out with the help of maggie hope brown by the way of kickley canada
01:08:51.020 who has been valuable like i can't even tell you with ideas because she sees it already she's been
01:08:59.160 into these battles already she's been into these battles for the last 18 months she knows the game
01:09:04.340 plan she knows how they're going to come at us and it's such a big help because if we already know
01:09:11.360 that then we can plan against it before they even do it which is amazing but this is going on in
01:09:19.460 your city right now, whether it's Calgary, Medicine Hat, Moose Jaw, Thunder Bay, Aurelia,
01:09:28.280 Halifax, St. John, St. John's, Charlottetown, Red Deer, Revelstoke, wherever you live,
01:09:38.580 whatever municipality you live in, chances are good that this is going on in your area right now.
01:09:45.140 and you need to mount the same kind of resistance
01:09:48.480 that's been mounted in Manitoba.
01:09:52.080 It's amazing how many people have risen to this challenge
01:09:56.900 and how many more will yet rise.
01:10:00.000 I can't even tell you how proud I am of the people here.
01:10:05.040 And maybe they're not completely and totally resistant
01:10:08.760 to the idea, at least not yet,
01:10:10.660 but they're definitely curious as to what is really going on here.
01:10:15.140 And they want real answers.
01:10:17.460 And they're not getting them from the government.
01:10:19.360 They're not getting them from their local government.
01:10:22.000 They're not getting them from these appointed boards.
01:10:25.080 They're not getting them from the frequently asked questions section on the website.
01:10:30.520 So they need to rely on somebody they trust to get them that information.
01:10:34.400 They can read the whole proposal themselves.
01:10:37.140 You can do that.
01:10:38.060 You can just look it up online.
01:10:39.780 Winnipeg 2050.
01:10:40.740 Go ahead and do it.
01:10:41.440 It's right there.
01:10:42.000 it's right there but i'll tell you this their frequently asked question section
01:10:49.820 is dishonest at best
01:10:54.660 all right let's get on with some of the other stuff that we need to talk about tonight there's
01:11:01.080 a lot of people suggesting that this rail strike that's about to hit canada as of midnight tonight
01:11:06.300 and affecting the united states and all parts of north america to be completely honest is
01:11:10.740 part of the agenda food shortages products shortages as the clock ticks towards this is
01:11:18.480 from left-wing corporate uh ctv as the clock ticks on toward a possible striker lockout at canada's
01:11:25.240 two largest railways cp and cn canadians are bracing for its consequences from a hit to their
01:11:31.260 pocketbooks to a potential shortage of meat cars and gas cp and cn are both facing the potential
01:11:39.200 for an unprecedented work stoppage on Thursday.
01:11:42.260 That's tonight, by the way, midnight tonight.
01:11:46.520 If they're unable to reach deals with workers
01:11:48.820 represented by the Teamsters Union.
01:11:51.420 Ooh.
01:11:52.980 As more than half of the country's exports travel by rail,
01:11:55.660 carrying more than $1 billion worth of goods each day,
01:11:59.320 looming labor disruption at both companies
01:12:01.080 could spell trouble for Canadians.
01:12:03.700 I wonder if that's going to cost us more than,
01:12:06.640 let's say, the Coots blockade.
01:12:09.200 just spitballing because that was criminal wasn't it yeah i think it was were people
01:12:16.320 hauled up on charges and held in remand for over two years because of that yeah they were
01:12:23.680 i'm just throwing that out there this comes from cnn my friends the americans are concerned too
01:12:29.680 because guess what we are their largest trading partner we've been hearing that for years massive
01:12:34.720 looming canadian rail shutdown could have economic ripple effects throughout america
01:12:40.720 10 000 workers could go off the job this will affect via rail as well by the way failing last
01:12:49.040 minute deals again i'm hoping they're in negotiations right now i hope they're not
01:12:52.800 playing hardball both cn and cp plan to lock out workers tonight marks the first time canada has
01:13:01.040 faced a simultaneous labor stoppage at the railroad firms as they normally negotiate their
01:13:06.660 labor agreements in alternating years. The stoppages could cripple the shipment of food,
01:13:11.680 grains, beans, potash, coal, and timber, which form a large part of Canada's exports, while also
01:13:17.480 impacting shipments ranging from petroleum products to chemicals, cars. In addition to billions of
01:13:24.400 dollars in economic damage, the stoppages could disrupt rail trade across the North American
01:13:30.180 continent unless there is an immediate and definite resolution to the labor conflict cn will
01:13:34.780 have no choice but to continue the phased and progressive shutdown of its network which could
01:13:39.140 would culminate in a lockout despite negotiations over the weekend no meaningful progress has
01:13:45.340 occurred and the parties remain very far apart so what i tell you right now is something i've
01:13:54.060 kind of been saying off and on for the past three years my friends and that is this stock up
01:14:00.180 Go get as much toilet paper as you possibly can.
01:14:04.320 I hope you have a deep freeze or two or three.
01:14:07.180 Go buy some meat.
01:14:09.220 Buy meat.
01:14:10.740 Yeah, we have meat in Canada, but we also import it from the United States.
01:14:15.200 Buy whatever you think you're going to need for as long as you're going to need it.
01:14:20.140 Because if this rail strike does in fact happen, and I'm not saying it will,
01:14:24.320 I mean, they could come to some kind of an agreement at the, what do they call it,
01:14:27.700 the 11th hour sometime tonight where they continue on shipping and nothing changes but if they go on
01:14:36.120 strike for even one day that's going to screw us up for at least a week but not tomorrow it'll
01:14:41.280 it'll affect us next week down the line somewhere when you go to the store and you can't find what
01:14:46.420 you're looking for you're gonna what what the oh that rail strike if the rail strike if this rail
01:14:51.120 strike actually continues for any length of time there will be shortages there will be shortages
01:15:01.620 i wish i could say i'm kidding here but i'm not and people are saying hey this is part of the
01:15:09.580 agenda they're just getting this ready i can't say yes or no to that because there is no proof
01:15:17.860 of any of that there's conditions i'm not going to get into why they're going on strike because
01:15:23.040 you can read about that yourself but um whatever it is is it worth stopping this massive supply chain
01:15:33.840 i don't know from children's health defense now this came out over two months ago and i
01:15:44.220 missed it somehow so i want to get this on for you guys bill c-293 quietly legislated to prepare
01:15:50.000 canada for the next pandemic and by the way this is not yet passed the government in terms of the
01:15:56.800 senate it's passed the house of commons but not yet the senate this was published by children's
01:16:02.000 healthdefense.ca on june the 10th as you can see in your upper left screen um bill c-293 the
01:16:09.520 pandemic prevention and preparedness act passed the third reading june 5th 20 24 164 votes in
01:16:14.940 favor 144 votes against the liberals ndp and the greens all voted in favor of this new legislation
01:16:20.320 while the conservatives and the bloc voted against it it now requires uh assent from the senate
01:16:26.660 so the what this bill entails is the minister of health being required to establish an advisory
01:16:34.220 committee to review the response of covet 19 well it did include that but the liberals ndp and greens
01:16:40.260 took that out they took that part out of the bill with an amendment and then passed it anyway
01:16:48.000 so what does this mean one health this plan will be required to adopt a world health organization
01:16:54.540 one health approach which is a multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary collaborative approach
01:17:00.440 that focuses on the human animal plant and ecosystem health and welfare interface in
01:17:05.080 addressing pandemic risk factors bill c-293 also amends the department of health act to provide
01:17:11.440 the minister of health must appoint an unelected health official from the public health agency of
01:17:16.380 canada as a national pandemic prevention and preparedness coordinator it's gone to the senate
01:17:22.140 where it has not passed yet but you can expect that thing to pass probably the second they sit
01:17:30.460 down in mid to late september when the senate comes back i found this to be uh interesting
01:17:39.540 this is a seven minute video that was done by lisa robinson lisa is a city councillor of pickering
01:17:47.880 ontario she's the one level-handed level-headed common sense city councillor they have all of
01:17:53.300 the other six have been trying including the mayor have been trying to get her kicked off 0.75
01:17:56.980 council now for the past year and a half yes she made a blunder going on uh what's that show that
01:18:02.880 it from alberta i forget the guy's name but he's a bit of a loud mouth that fancies himself as a
01:18:11.420 rebel i i what's his name jimmy j jim j what's his name you guys tell me in the comments here quickly
01:18:18.760 oh there's so many comments
01:18:22.240 kevin j johnston right thank you christina kevin j johnston so uh he said some pretty vulgar things
01:18:32.720 off-color things uh and the city council of pickering said well lisa just went along with
01:18:39.680 she didn't say hey shut up and so they're trying to vilify her for that so what i'm going to be
01:18:44.880 doing is inviting her on the show at some point next week i'd love to have a conversation this
01:18:50.320 woman she's absolutely amazing and in this video here again which is seven minutes long and right
01:18:54.880 after this we're going to jump to the extension for all access members at shadow davis.com if
01:19:00.080 you're not a member go and become one it's relatively cheap it's like 10 11 bucks a month
01:19:04.640 or if you want to pay for the entire year you can do that as well shadow davis.com s-h-a-d-o-e-d-a-v-i-s.com
01:19:11.200 we'll see you there for the extension right after this story here from canadian capital clips
01:19:17.280 it is a seven minute speech talking about our system of politics in canada by pickering city
01:19:24.880 councillor lisa robinson we stand at a pivotal moment in our community's history
01:19:30.320 A moment where we must decide who we are, what we stand for, and how we will shape the future for ourselves and all generations to come.
01:19:41.820 For too long, politics have been dominated by those who serve themselves before serving the people.
01:19:48.760 We've seen corruption seep into the very fabric of our institutions,
01:19:56.600 leaving too many of us feeling powerless, unheard, and disillusioned.
01:20:01.900 The voices of the people, the everyday hard-working citizens who make our community thrive,
01:20:08.940 have too often been drowned out by the noise of self-interest and backroom deals.
01:20:14.820 But today I'm standing before you to say enough is enough.
01:20:19.640 We deserve better.
01:20:21.860 We deserve leaders who are willing to fight for the common good.
01:20:25.980 who are guided by common sense
01:20:28.980 and who understand the struggles and the hopes
01:20:34.000 of the everyday common people.
01:20:38.060 I'm here today not just as a politician
01:20:40.800 but as one of you.
01:20:43.320 A member of this community who knows
01:20:45.620 what it's like to worry about paying the bills 0.61
01:20:48.240 finding a safe place for her child to play 0.99
01:20:52.700 and making sure that there is enough food on the table.
01:20:57.680 I know the frustration of seeing our tax dollars wasted on projects that benefit a few
01:21:03.140 while our schools, hospitals, and public services have to suffer.
01:21:08.580 But I also know the strength and resilience of this community.
01:21:12.920 I've seen it in our neighbours helping neighbours,
01:21:16.120 in our local businesses lifting up each other,
01:21:18.500 and in the voices that refuse to be silenced in the face of injustice.
01:21:24.880 And no matter our differences, we are united under one banner, the Canadian flag.
01:21:33.340 A flag that represents the values we hold dear, fairness, equality, and justice for all.
01:21:41.160 It reminds us that we are stronger together, bound by a shared commitment
01:21:46.200 to build a brighter future for every Canadian.
01:21:51.480 I believe in a politics that puts people first,
01:21:55.460 where the needs of our families, our workers,
01:21:58.940 and our seniors take precedence over the interests of the powerful.
01:22:03.180 And I believe in transparency, accountability, and integrity.
01:22:09.260 And I believe that together we can build a government
01:22:13.140 that truly serves the people.
01:22:16.200 But I can't do it alone. And I need your help. Together, we must stand up against the corruption that has taken root in our political system. We must demand that our leaders act with honesty and fairness. We must hold them accountable when they fail us, and we must work tirelessly to ensure that our government reflects the values of our community.
01:22:43.260 That's what the Conservatives have been doing.
01:22:45.280 I promise you this.
01:22:47.420 I will always stand up for what is right, even when it's difficult.
01:22:52.480 I will listen to your concerns and make sure that your voices are heard.
01:22:57.300 And I will fight for a future where our children can grow up in a world that is fairer, more just, and filled with opportunity.
01:23:07.940 This is our moment.
01:23:10.400 This is our fight.
01:23:11.760 let's stand together united in our determination to bring about real change
01:23:18.280 let's reject the politics of division corruption and cynicism let's build a future where we can
01:23:26.900 all thrive proud to be canadians and proud to sorry to interrupt you guys that i'm seeing
01:23:33.080 people asking in the comments who is this this is city councilor of pickering one of the city
01:23:39.940 councilors of pickering ontario lisa robinson whatever her politics i'm seeing what is she a
01:23:46.540 conservative but what she is a city councilor she does not have at least publicly she does not have
01:23:52.900 a political party affiliation and i think that's one of the things that this speech is all about
01:23:59.220 let's continue stand together beneath our red and white flag and when future generations look back
01:24:08.100 on this time let them say that we were the ones who stood up who spoke out who made a difference
01:24:18.260 let them say that we are the ones who fought for a better fair and more just world
01:24:25.380 i want to thank you and i want to thank you for your trust and for your support
01:24:30.500 and your belief in the power of the people because together we will create a future
01:24:37.500 we all deserve united as Canadians and as a community
01:24:43.380 I have been sexually harassed I have been threatened psychologically abused
01:25:00.500 sanctioned financially, leaving me without the means to provide for my family.
01:25:05.760 I've been labeled as a transphobic, a homophobic, and a racist.
01:25:11.080 And that's just to name a few.
01:25:12.960 From my own colleagues at council, I've been yelled at, I've been degraded, and humiliated.
01:25:21.120 All because I've fulfilled my obligations as an elected official to be the voice of the people
01:25:27.520 by wanting to remain a neutral politician as we should be.
01:25:34.100 By only flying governmental flags on governmental buildings.
01:25:38.740 By advocating for my constituents that every man, woman, boy, girl
01:25:44.060 should have the choice to either use a biological bathroom of their choice
01:25:48.840 or to use a universal room that would be inclusive of all genders and or families.
01:25:56.020 and by wanting to put age restrictions on pride events 0.65
01:26:02.880 and drag queen story times.
01:26:07.100 Hmm. I see where she's going with this.
01:26:09.620 What kind of an example is this setting to silence elected officials
01:26:14.720 such as myself or anybody else who wants to stand out
01:26:17.760 against what is happening in today's world?
01:26:21.060 Because when you're silencing me, you're silencing the voice of the people.
01:26:26.020 Where is the justice?
01:26:28.640 But that's what the opposition is doing.
01:26:30.680 That's what the conservatives are doing.
01:26:31.840 Thank you, and God bless all of you.
01:26:33.560 I'll take any questions.
01:26:36.140 Okay, we will now go to questions from the media. 0.99
01:26:40.140 I'd like to know if she's conservative.
01:26:41.560 If you have any questions online on Zoom, please raise your hand. 1.00
01:26:44.840 She sounds like she's trying to make her own party.
01:26:50.500 Okay, so obviously there's no media questions.
01:26:52.700 The kid in the corner is kind of bothering me a bit.
01:26:54.640 But anyway, she's a city councillor. 0.66
01:26:59.580 Again, by law, she's not allowed to have a political, 0.63
01:27:02.720 at least not an official political party affiliation.
01:27:06.380 What she's calling for, in my opinion,
01:27:10.540 is honesty, integrity, and respect
01:27:15.200 in our political process.
01:27:19.780 When we hear the word politicized,
01:27:23.020 it's now a bad word.
01:27:24.640 that's become too politicized
01:27:28.140 why is it a bad word because of the way politicians are behaving especially these past few years
01:27:37.420 whereas you would love to see somebody like lisa robinson there come out more people like that
01:27:44.560 coming out and just telling us the truth of the matter instead what you get is party rhetoric
01:27:51.500 even in the face of when you know what the facts really are as a reporter journalist as a viewer
01:28:01.260 as a constituent you know what's happened the facts are there right in front of you they've
01:28:06.820 been published they're online you can see them the politician will still lie based upon what
01:28:12.680 the party is telling him or her to do. There is no place in our government systems, any one of
01:28:21.640 them, for that kind of behavior. That immediately should get you an instant sanction, suspension of
01:28:27.880 a year, fired, fined. That's the kind of integrity we need. We talk about integrity commissioners
01:28:37.740 at different levels of politics.
01:28:39.820 But what do they do?
01:28:40.880 Nothing.
01:28:41.660 What are the penalties
01:28:42.380 that these politicians
01:28:43.500 when they break the ethics codes get?
01:28:45.320 Nothing.
01:28:46.120 $500 fine.
01:28:48.980 Are you kidding?
01:28:49.960 That's pocket change to them.
01:28:51.400 What we need is actual,
01:28:53.120 real-world consequences
01:28:54.800 for these people
01:28:55.540 when they go off the reservation.
01:28:57.500 And when I say go off the reservation,
01:28:59.420 I mean go off our reservation.
01:29:02.640 The reservation of the people,
01:29:04.660 not their political party.
01:29:06.080 and all the rhetoric and talking points that they're given on a daily basis, and they are.
01:29:14.180 They are actually given talking points on a daily basis, and they know, they're supposed to know,
01:29:21.540 rehearse, memorize these lines so when they get approached by any reporter coming at them,
01:29:26.160 or any constituent for that matter, they know exactly what to say. You've seen it before. It
01:29:31.860 happens on social media all the time if one member of parliament liberal conservative ndp is posting
01:29:38.960 on x that day and you see other members of that same party posting on x you can bet it's the same
01:29:44.940 message may be couched a little bit differently they give you three different versions
01:29:49.120 lisa robinson is a refreshing change and we need more of her i'm going to give her a call tomorrow
01:29:57.940 guys i promise you i've been forgetting and putting it off for a while now because i've had
01:30:02.000 other things that i need to do but i'm going to give her a call tomorrow i'd love to have her on
01:30:06.220 she may be a bit gun shy because she got burned by kevin j johnson there but i don't treat my
01:30:13.820 guests that way and you know i don't speak that way either i'm pretty respectful of my guests
01:30:19.160 and i do like to get the truth out there so i'm going to give her a call hopefully uh she comes
01:30:23.900 on the show some point next week and we can talk more about this because i've already got an amazing
01:30:28.880 amount of respect for her and i have yet to meet her or even utter one word to her that's it for
01:30:35.240 the show on social tonight we'll be back tomorrow night at eight o'clock for another shadow at night
