00:05:18.440 They had a case in front of the Appeals Court of Canada against Canadian Food Inspection Agency, as you're well aware.

00:05:26.260 and the three judge panel has decided unanimously to rule against universal ostrich farm meaning

00:05:35.100 that and by the way there is no emergency stay order in place any longer the cfia can now roll

00:05:42.160 in at any time day or night they stipulate that and begin proceedings to start culling

00:05:50.360 these 400 ostriches. I don't know how they plan to do that. Still, you can bet that CFIA has been

00:06:00.880 planning how they're going to do this for the last couple of months, probably

00:06:06.740 assured that they were going to win this. So this could happen tonight. This could happen

00:06:16.480 tomorrow. This may not happen for a week. It may not happen at all. CFIA has won the right

00:06:23.340 to cull these ostriches, but that doesn't necessarily mean they now have to cull

00:06:29.980 these ostriches. Maybe, and this might sound like a bit of a pipe dream or naive to you, but maybe

00:08:02.240 for this new strain of H5N1, and they were not allowed to take into consideration that

00:08:10.880 these ostriches have been living, thriving, for the last seven months, over 200 days,

00:08:18.880 without any sickness. That was not allowed to come into the court case.

00:08:27.860 it would be to the Supreme Court of Canada,

00:11:12.080 heartbeats they have names and they have remained healthy for 219 days without a single test

00:11:17.660 permitted by the canadian food inspection agency and us being threatened six months in jail and a

00:11:24.220 twenty thousand dollar fine if we test our own animals to prove their health yet at any moment

00:11:30.180 they face destruction under a rigid and outdated policy that allows no compassion no science and

00:11:37.440 no justice we respectfully request your consideration of a royal prerogative of mercy

00:11:45.640 in this matter well traditionally applied in the context of criminal sanctions its foundation lies

00:11:57.260 urgency. Why this qualifies for mercy? Extraordinary circumstances. The CFIA has not

00:12:05.560 stepped foot on the farm in over five months, yet insists there is a threat here. The ostriches

00:28:08.380 72 times and for that he was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of

00:28:15.320 parole for 25 years. So why might you be running into him? Because despite not

00:28:21.920 being eligible for parole until 2031, the parole board just granted him escorted

00:28:28.700 leave for five days a week to join a work program that we don't

00:28:34.880 get to know about. This is even despite the fact that the

00:28:38.780 parole board previously recognized him as being a high

00:28:43.280 risk to reoffend violently. This is unacceptable. There are

00:28:50.360 exactly zero Canadians who want to go to work one day only to

00:28:55.400 find that their co-worker stabbed a 17 year old girl 72 times and that's not to mention the grief

00:29:04.200 of the families who have to live knowing that the man who murdered their daughter is getting as much

00:35:56.200 psychological expert. He's a, you know, former intelligence officer. And I watched Vladimir

00:36:03.060 Putin. He was very good at sizing up people's weaknesses and exploiting them and getting them

00:36:10.440 to think he was on their side when he wasn't. I watched this over and over again with this guy.

00:36:16.280 He has a lot of great attributes. And the problem is, though, you know, this big problem, he's an

00:36:20.480 evil man. Like, you know, he took out as a fledgling democracy and turned it back into a

00:36:26.540 tyranny. He is creating no institutions, no long-term plan for Russia. He will leave the

00:36:34.440 country poor and in chaos when he goes. And I think this is a real tragedy for Russia. And in

00:36:41.560 a sense, it's a tragedy that somebody with his ability just didn't, wasn't imbued with any sense

00:36:48.660 of ideals or higher purpose.
