00:07:58.380 voice buddy i show up just to hear you talk shadow tell you the truth but thanks for the invite
00:08:02.420 you're welcome did you see the the fire breathing video i've been stuck on my phone i'm getting
00:08:10.900 bleary eyed here from uh there's a lot of humor out there but down here in nova scotia it's really
00:08:15.460 not that funny a situation buddy i guess don't get me wrong you either gonna laugh or cry take
00:08:19.680 your pick so you are a 29 year veteran fighting fires in nova scotia you're with conservation
00:08:26.220 in nova scotia you put together a task force of retired firefighting conservation officers only
00:08:32.760 to be turned away by the province just a couple of years ago that was your rise to notoriety you've
00:08:37.320 written a book it's called the redneck conservative um there's nobody better to ask than you what the
00:08:43.980 hell is going on out there right now well you can ask but if you're waiting for an official response 0.51
00:08:49.380 from the government all you're going to hear is a little bit of this a little bit of that
00:08:52.840 A smattering of truth, probably 90% BS.
00:08:58.180 Here's what we're confronted with down here right now, Shadow.
00:09:00.840 We have oppressive freedom-stripping policies that have been put in place by a premier who has completely ignored the Fire Weather Index,
00:09:09.840 which is the system that's been used all across North America since 1970 to determine what fire conditions are.
00:09:17.180 And then based on that data, they can determine whether or not fire bans or travel bans should be initiated.
00:09:25.540 And for political reasons and for his own, apparently right now it's looking like PTSD, and I'm no doctor, by the way, associated with what he went through in 2023.
00:09:36.400 the Premier has told his MLAs and told the public that he has difficulty sleeping at night
00:09:42.980 and is having problems sleeping because he sat with families who have worried about charred bodies
00:09:50.660 and burned down homes and he's having real issues with it. And as a result of that,
00:09:54.960 he overrode the system that we've had in place over my entire career that worked and worked well
00:09:59.660 and opposed some of the most draconian measures that actually not some of the most draconian
00:10:06.360 measures that have been put in place anywhere in North America, including every state in the U.S.
00:10:13.640 and every province in Canada, I believe in history.
00:10:19.420 Peter, it used to be when fire season was high, you would drive past the sign of Smokey the Bear
00:10:27.320 in whatever park you were going into and you would see that that scale or that meter right
00:10:32.560 red green yellow medium low high the fire risk yep is the fire risk according to what you've
00:10:39.600 observed in nova scotia right now incredibly high is it actually actually as of today shadow it's
00:10:47.040 probably the worst it's been but i can tell you this when the fire ban was first put in place
00:10:52.020 back, I think it was on July 30th, he announced that it would go in place on the 31st. On the
00:10:58.780 31st, 40% of the province would have been down in that yellow and green zone, which is what we
00:11:03.980 called the low and intermediate, which would allow you to burn legally at two o'clock in the
00:11:08.460 afternoon. And he put a fire ban in place. And just on the surface, that fire ban on its own
00:11:14.500 ignored the fire weather index system that we relied on every day from a professional status
00:11:20.620 to make determinations of where you can and can't burn and what the conditions are.
00:11:25.020 And for whatever reason, the premier completely sidestepped that data and overstepped, I guess
00:11:32.200 we're referring to it as government overreach. And what he did was a straight up charter violation.
00:11:37.040 So I consulted the legal team on how best to deal with it. And then shortly afterwards,
00:11:42.580 he decided he was going to put in a full blanket, shore to shore, north to south,
00:11:47.240 travel ban in place. And in that single decision, Shadow, I mean, there's a bunch of points that I
00:11:54.280 want to bring up tonight, but over in that one moment, he did more to destroy Nova Scotia's
00:12:01.020 tourism industry than any premier has done in the history of the province by that one decision.
00:12:09.120 What's the reaction been in the province? Are people laughing along? Are they terribly concerned
00:12:16.400 about government overreach are they defending this guy so anybody that's familiar with the
00:12:22.260 milgram experiment and you probably know what that was i know what that is but if you could
00:12:27.020 maybe briefly describe it for people that don't so the milgram experiment has proven that 80 of
00:12:32.380 the population cannot uh not take orders from a person of authority so no matter what the orders
00:12:39.140 are they'll follow them so what they did is they had an experiment where they put people in a
00:12:43.240 separate room from people that were brought in off the street and said, look, we want you to
00:12:46.680 participate in some science that we're doing. And they had a guy in a white jacket and a lab coat
00:12:53.000 and a clipboard. And then they put him down in front of electric controls and said, the people
00:12:58.560 in the other room were testing how much they can take electrical shocks. And they've done some
00:13:06.040 nasty things. So we're going to crank up the shocks on them here. And we want you to ignore
00:13:10.980 what you hear and just follow my orders directly so they started cranking up the power and the
00:13:16.260 people in the other room were actors they were they were paid to do what they uh what they were
00:13:21.220 being told to do the guy in the lab coat was too wasn't he and the guy in the lab coat well yeah
00:13:25.600 this was all orchestrated and the only people who didn't know what were going on were the people
00:13:29.220 that came in off the street and said look we want you to help us with the scientific experiment
00:13:33.140 and so as they turned up the crank the people in the other room were screaming and begging for
00:13:38.100 mercy and please don't shock me anymore and the people would look at the guy in the lab coat and
00:13:42.560 say are you sure this is okay and the guy in the lab said oh no that there's no issues here just
00:13:46.540 going up until the dial got to the point it said lethal and 80 percent of the people in that
00:13:52.360 experiment were willing to turn that dial all the way up to lethal because a man in a white lab coat
00:13:58.340 holding a clipboard and appeared to be the voice of authority was telling them it was okay to do it
00:14:03.820 And that's called the Milgram experiment. And so that's what about what the numbers are showing us down here in Nova Scotia, because I've been monitoring stuff here for the last few days. I can't stay off of shadow. So we're probably got about 20% of the population that realizes, like I said, that this will go back to this term, oppressive freedom stripping policies.
00:14:23.040 But the other 80 percent, the old tactic that actually I don't want to go back 100 years, but I'm going to have to. 0.86
00:14:29.660 The Nazis actually perfected it. 0.86
00:14:31.360 And Herman Goering in the Nuremberg trials, when he was asked, how are you able to control this many intelligent people to do things that didn't make sense? 0.92
00:14:39.900 And he said, it's simple.
00:14:40.940 If you can make people afraid and instill fear in them, you can get them to do anything.
00:14:46.280 So on talk show radio down here and all the comments that I'm seeing on Facebook and X is that about 80 percent of Nova Scotians are in a state of absolute fear.
00:14:56.500 We've got people down here shadow living in the center of Halifax saying they're worried about their home burning down in the middle of the city.
00:15:04.660 Yeah. So it's at that level. So common sense has like common sense and Elvis have left the building and people are afraid.
00:15:12.920 And when people are afraid, the premier proved during COVID what was possible.
00:15:18.140 And he knew what he would be able to get away with.
00:15:20.580 And that's why he's been able to do this.
00:15:21.980 But one good thing happened.
00:15:23.440 A buddy of mine down in Sydney, Jeff Evely, a retired military guy, he gave me a call.
00:15:27.660 He said, Pete, I want to get a ticket.
00:15:29.460 What's the best way to go about doing it?
00:15:31.120 So I said, Jeff, call DNR, get a hold of the game warden boys and tell them what you're going to do.
00:15:36.100 So he went up to the office, talked to them, told them what he wanted to do, walked into the woods.
00:15:40.360 I think 13 steps in and 13 steps out, and they gave him a ticket for $28,872.50 for walking 13 feet into the woods, into the day, no fire hazard, none of any kind.
00:15:55.140 But the issue was Jeff wanted a court case where he would have standing.
00:15:59.500 And now he's got he's got a group of lawyers behind him and they're going to this trip around.
00:16:04.980 Tim Houston's not getting away with with just straight out, you know, do what I tell you or we're going to crush you.
00:16:12.180 Now, the ticket was twenty eight thousand eight seventy five, as you say.
00:16:16.080 And his video verifies that. But where does the extra three thousand eight hundred seventy five come from?
00:16:20.920 I thought these tickets were for twenty five thousand. Are these taxes or something?
00:16:24.000 Yeah, it's it's twenty five thousand. And then there's I think what's called a victim impact fee.
00:16:29.500 And then court costs and a couple of things. So it was, I'll give you an example down here right now, Shadow. If you get caught driving, I think your maximum fine is five grand. There's a whole bunch of things that you do. So you have to look at things. I look at things through the eye of the charter because I'm involved in a charter violation case with Premier Houston because in last November snap election, he kept 19, he strategically kept 19 independents off the ballot.
00:16:58.220 So I've learned an awful lot about how things work in that side of things in the court system. 0.82
00:17:02.640 But I've also learned that Premier Houston doesn't give a rat's ass about what happens inside the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. 0.96
00:17:09.600 Peter, you know this guy. I'm sorry to interrupt you. You know this guy. 0.96
00:17:12.160 You helped get him elected a few years ago. And this is not something you're too proud of today.
00:17:16.900 But he did say he was a conservative back then. I mean, how well do you know him?
00:17:21.200 What what is this guy made up of?
00:17:23.660 So back in the day, I've had him and his son out fishing and I've been out fishing with him as well.
00:17:28.040 And you learn a lot about people and fishing.
00:17:30.520 So Tim Houston was initially, he's a chartered accountant who was involved in the Paradise Papers for, I think it was at least 10 years, down in the Caribbean.
00:17:39.880 And eight of those years, you can't find any data on him.
00:17:42.460 But for two of those years, he was on multiple boards of different companies.
00:17:46.000 And especially he was making sure that you paid as little tax as possible in your businesses that were registered down in the Bahamas.
00:17:52.680 So when he came up to Nova Scotia, he came out of nowhere, basically.
00:17:56.020 and got involved with the Masons, and from there, he found his way into politics
00:18:02.200 and didn't really know what party that he thought he should be involved with,
00:18:06.480 and the Liberals really didn't want him, and the NDP didn't want him,
00:18:09.520 and he said, well, maybe I have enough of a conservative that conservatives would like me,
00:18:15.020 and there was a vacuum at the time.
00:18:17.760 Actually, not so much of a vacuum, but there was a vacuum that he helped create.
00:18:22.640 Tim is a student of Machiavelli.
00:18:24.540 I mean, he's definitely read Machiavellian's The Prince.
00:18:28.220 The man's ruthless.
00:18:29.820 And every MLA or anybody that stands up to him since he's been elected goes directly under the bus, career over.
00:18:35.060 That's why there hasn't been any pushback from any MLA on anything he's done since he's been elected.
00:18:40.340 And since he's been elected, he's canceled.
00:18:42.840 He's canceled set election dates.
00:18:45.300 He's limited down to next to nothing, the time that legislation can be debated.
00:18:51.160 he's tried to reduce access to freedom of information requests on the province yeah and
00:18:58.140 he basically is running roughshod and doing exactly what he wants because he literally has
00:19:02.860 nobody to stand up against him and i was involved in a project to try to do something but but i
00:19:07.940 helped get tim elected and i got snookered like hundreds of us did we really believed he was a
00:19:13.320 conservative and that this guy because he'd tell you one thing and i can tell you emphatically he
00:19:19.380 turned around and turned full on. Actually, he's more liberal than a liberal. And then he's got a
00:19:24.180 smattering of Marxism in there and a lot of socialism wrapped up in the way he thinks.
00:19:28.340 But when he was involved in the Paradise Papers, all indications are he was heavily involved with
00:19:33.000 State Street, Vanguard, and BlackRock. And I don't know who's handling him today,
00:19:39.140 but some of the things that are being done here in Nova Scotia don't add up. Like China right now
00:19:44.720 as our second largest trading partner.
00:19:46.740 When China put a major tariff on our lobster fishing industry,
00:19:51.040 he never opened his mouth.
00:19:52.840 That tariff's still in place.
00:19:54.160 You'll never hear him say anything about it.
00:19:56.860 So all of a sudden, when this happened with the fires,
00:19:59.360 back in 2023, when we had our largest forest fire
00:20:02.280 in the province's history, that was caused by arson.
00:20:05.180 And in 2012, Nova Scotia got rid of our Helitac teams.
00:20:08.400 Now, anybody from Western Canada knows what Helitac is
00:20:11.160 because those are teams of the best of the best firefighters.
00:20:14.720 that they, when an emergency fire is called in, those are the guys that they lean on heavily.
00:20:22.960 They're the first line of defense. They're the guys that could go into remote areas and start
00:20:27.420 fire suppression efforts and start water bombing before land crews normally arrive. Those are the
00:20:33.120 guys that keep fires at three acres instead of turning into 30,000 acres. And in 2012,
00:20:38.800 we had a new manager put in over at our fire control center who had no fire experience
00:20:44.160 whatsoever and he he got in a a real uh a real authority match with the guys on the cruise
00:20:51.400 because he wanted them uh working through the day painting buildings mowing lawns this type of thing
00:20:56.480 and because he had no fire and experience no fire experience he didn't understand that these guys
00:21:00.580 job was to stay in shape be prepared and be ready to go at the drop of a hat moments notice to not
00:21:06.560 be exhausted so in 2012 we lost our only heli attack team and then a couple of other things
00:21:12.920 happened down here shadow and this all builds up to this and this is the back story that you'll
00:21:17.460 never hear in the news so what happened is is the new manager after he managed to fire that
00:21:22.720 specialized team then he moved to get rid of our our uh you guys would call it a medium helicopter
00:21:29.760 out west and it was a bell 212 and that was the only helicopter we had capable of moving a five
00:21:35.040 man crew with all the equipment and we lost that and that was nova scotia's insurance policy against
00:21:41.860 major forest fires. Over my career, I've probably seen, even on my own shifts, I probably saw those
00:21:48.800 guys save the day at least 14 times, where they kept fires to a point that they were manageable,
00:21:57.880 and ground crews arrived and saved those three, four, five acres fires from turning into 30,000
00:22:03.440 acre fires. So we lost that. And then what happened, another decision happened, because
00:22:08.520 we used to have a really efficient fire tower system you know the old smoky to bear towers
00:22:14.540 that you'd see in a park and and these guys were the hardest guys in the world to fight because
00:22:18.340 these are different ducks these are guys that'll go sit there from you know from the first april
00:22:22.540 right to the middle of october looking for smoke so we had we had some of the best of the best here
00:22:28.900 in nova scotia and a decision was made after the hell attack team was dismantled to tear down all
00:22:33.860 those fire towers. And the reason that they gave, and I'll circle back here in a second, was that
00:22:39.140 with the advent of everybody having cell phones, there was no need to maintain that system and
00:22:44.140 maintain those structures anymore and keep those people on, because the province could rely on
00:22:49.160 people with cell phones calling in when they saw fires. Now, the problem was, even if they called
00:22:55.300 in, there was no helitack team to go out for first response. We were starting to rely on volunteer
00:22:59.960 fire departments. And we would supply those guys with the gear they needed, with a major forestry
00:23:07.900 pump system set up to all these volunteer fire departments. But those guys couldn't get there
00:23:13.140 on time either. So, and then on top of that, we used to have a fire burning, a fire permit system
00:23:19.520 in Nova Scotia, where if you wanted to burn, you had to come in, talk to a guy like me,
00:23:24.060 and you had to pay your money. And then we'd write down the terms and conditions for you to
00:23:28.660 be able to burn. And all that, we would refer back to the fire weather index that day, the one that
00:23:33.680 Tim Houston completely ignored when he put in these bans. And so 50% of the time, Shadow, we
00:23:39.600 would talk people out of burning. I'd say, look, rather than burn now, why don't you wait till it
00:23:42.800 rains? Cover up what you want to burn when it starts raining. We'll give you a call and you
00:23:47.900 can light things up. But why don't you wait till the end of fire season when there's no risk?
00:23:51.460 Because in Nova Scotia, if you've set a forest fire, you can be held 100% financially responsible
00:23:57.320 for the damage so a thirty thousand dollar fire you get it you get a bill and they go after you
00:24:03.640 in court and you got to pay it so what happened was those three things happened and i want to
00:24:08.860 really point out to people that maybe think here in nova scotia that we still have a fire tower
00:24:14.080 system we have nothing we do not have people in nova scotia's forest today with cell phones to
00:24:19.280 call in an event that there was a dry lightning strike or that a piece of glass broken glass in
00:24:24.880 the ditch starts a fire there's nobody in the woods right now to call in those fires because
00:24:30.280 even if you get a permit to work in the woods right now one of the conditions are on the permit
00:24:35.120 is you're not allowed to have a cell phone in your procession or wear a smart watch you can't
00:24:39.940 make this stuff up i'm looking at you're looking incredulous but so am i because i'm a professional
00:24:46.220 at this and i'm the last guy in nova scotia that wants to see a forest fire why are they not allowed
00:24:51.580 to have cell phones or smart watches well apparently someone told a politician that
00:24:57.440 those can start a fire so i went back through all the stats shadow and people need to understand
00:25:02.260 this in nova scotia there's no records of anyone ever dying in a forest fire we have more people
00:25:07.680 in nova scotia killed by coyotes than we have killed in forest fires now the big fires we had
00:25:13.720 in 2023 cost 189 million dollars in damage they were major there was two major fires and both of
00:25:19.820 them were started illegally right and the conditions were nowhere near what they are now but 0.96
00:25:24.620 you can't legislate against stupidity and people did some dumb stuff and even the biggest fire we 0.98
00:25:31.020 had that was called the uh i forget the name of the fire now it is i call i refer to it as the 0.99
00:25:36.960 shellburn fire if we had a halitak crew in place at the time the chance of that fire burning 60,000
00:25:43.320 acres uh was slim to none those guys i've got i've reviewed all the data i looked at everything
00:25:50.160 if those are the guys who would have been in there they'd have done an initial attack we'd
00:25:55.120 start dropping with our biggest helicopter and even here's another another piece of information
00:26:00.080 i want people to know after the disaster the actually that could be pinned on the federal
00:26:05.920 government that happened in jasper they loosened up some money and they said to the provinces we'll
00:26:11.520 help you guys with some new aircraft for battling fires. Well, in 2016, after we lost our biggest
00:26:17.560 helicopter with the most water dropping capacity, we bought four helicopters, none of them that had
00:26:24.320 those same capacities, and none of them were capable of handling a helitac crew. So to be
00:26:31.260 clear what helitac is, again, it's the province's fire insurance policy that I don't care if those
00:26:38.120 guys sit there all summer and don't get used the year when you need them you need them it's like
00:26:44.440 having fire insurance for 10 years and saying my house hasn't burned down yet i think i'll cancel
00:26:49.040 my policy you mentioned that the fires a couple of years ago wound up costing 189 million dollars
00:26:55.080 total yeah what would it cost to i guess start again because you'd have to start a whole new crew
00:27:01.920 a helitech squad and get the necessary equipment including the helicopter less than two million
00:27:08.940 and i'll give you an example shadow in order to win the last election the previous canceled
00:27:14.320 canceled bridge tolls on the two bridges from dartmouth to halifax and they have a maintenance
00:27:18.940 budget of around 40 million dollars a year that we were taking in into there that was offset by
00:27:24.000 tolls and he canceled the tolls to help get himself elected and now that's spread out to
00:27:28.420 the taxpayer. And that $40 million is going to come from somewheres. And that same amount of
00:27:34.180 money should have went back in the hell attack. And it should have went back into maintaining 0.51
00:27:38.820 the forest fire tower things. Here's what happens with forest fire towers and the guys that sit in
00:27:46.860 them. They will call us in shadow. Even if you fired up a barbecue and it made too much smoke,
00:27:51.540 they would spot it. And they'd watch it for a minute, maybe two. And then if it would back
00:27:56.360 down this they'd notify right away i just picked up smoke with these bearings and then they'd get
00:28:00.580 a cross-reference from another tower so you had a pinpoint location and that would happen within
00:28:05.620 minutes or even that would happen within a minute within the second they saw it they would notify
00:28:10.600 district staff and district staff would call shuby and say look there and shuby our fire
00:28:15.660 control would be monitoring conversations all around the province so they would know this would
00:28:19.540 be happening and then what would happen is if it turned out the smoke was growing if it was in any
00:28:25.740 remote area at all immediately it would be up to the up to the technical staff in the district to
00:28:30.520 call in the helitack crew knowing from where it was let's say we're looking at 45 minutes to an
00:28:36.340 hour to get a ground crew there we can have helitack on site within 20 minutes and what
00:28:40.560 the helicopter would do would drop those guys would set up a full pump operation and then
00:28:44.720 immediately that helicopter would be off dropping the most water that any helicopter that we had
00:28:50.540 per drop and how much how much you just i'm sorry to interrupt you how much water does in one dump
00:28:55.680 does a helicopter like that able to dump so it's not that much it's 225 gallons but it's pinpoint
00:29:02.840 accurate and these guys these guys were tech these guys were high-grade technicians some of the stuff
00:29:07.580 i watched these guys do is amazing but a lot of times they were doing short hops they might only
00:29:11.560 be driving two kilometers flying two kilometers to a nearby water source so they were back and
00:29:15.400 forth and back and forth and by the time the ground crews got there may they may have already
00:29:19.380 done 20 to 30 water drops. And we may have the whole fire circle, which is the overall goal
00:29:25.080 when you're fighting forest fire. So without these guys, that three acre fire, by the time
00:29:31.580 the ground crews got there, it could be 30. And then the helicopters that were available,
00:29:36.280 the smaller helicopters that the province had were dropping 90 to I think 110 gallons based
00:29:42.460 on how much fuel they had on board. So they were about half the drop capacity. So when the federal
00:29:48.240 government sprung money loose to buy new helicopters and upgrade them, the province
00:29:52.400 went and got four more of the exact same helicopters to head in 2016, and none of them
00:29:58.580 still have a capacity to carry a helitag crew and drop that amount of water. It's like the people
00:30:05.880 running the province are completely tone deaf. So what happened, as you brought up earlier,
00:30:12.240 as all those homes were burning down in 2023, and I could see why the premier has an issue with it,
00:30:17.400 because he's partway responsive because they dropped the ball.
00:30:20.820 I put together a team of experts,
00:30:22.440 and we offered our services to the province for five days in a row,
00:30:26.140 and the province turned us down every day.
00:30:29.320 And, you know, I think between the five or six of us,
00:30:32.600 we had over 200 years experience fighting forest fires,
00:30:36.680 and we could have gone in all these positions,
00:30:38.320 and we offered long-term services.
00:30:40.320 And every day the Premier and the Minister of Natural Resources said,
00:30:43.200 no, no, we don't want you. 1.00
00:30:44.200 And then they brought in people from South Africa and the U.S. and out west.
00:30:48.500 What people don't understand, Shadow, is the provinces right now, there's an organization called CFSI.
00:30:54.440 It's Canadian Fire.
00:30:57.140 I forget what they stand for.
00:30:58.740 But those are the guys who control where equipment goes when you're in an emergency and need to call in aircraft from other provinces.
00:31:05.560 Well, right now, we can't call in any gear from New Brunswick because they have their own problems.
00:31:10.780 Guys out west have their own problems.
00:31:12.300 and what happened is fire budgets all across canada beginning around 2010 began getting cut
00:31:21.520 back at the same time the government was screaming climate change climate change so instead of ramping
00:31:26.500 up force firefighting initiatives they cut them all back this sounds like a setup peter this sounds
00:31:32.900 like it i mean how on earth could i mean you said tone deaf a few seconds ago and i kind of i know
00:31:38.380 what you're thinking yeah i mean yeah tone deaf is one thing but you know when you cut back
00:31:45.800 on the very services that you need and you're screaming climate change like you say and and
00:31:52.220 all of that by the way how many arsonists have been caught setting these fires across the country
00:31:56.640 the last few years it seems that number is going up as well i know manitoba's got a couple in
00:32:01.220 albertica had had a few of them a couple of years ago hey look just in your own provinces
00:32:05.820 saskatchewan they had a firefighter who's just convicted of lighting 30 fires instead of getting
00:32:10.820 a couple years in jail i think they gave him 18 months probation and 200 hours worth of community
00:32:16.940 service and he's not allowed near any matches and so what ends up happening is okay so and just to
00:32:25.180 i want to highlight the absurdity of what's happening in nova scotia the premier premier
00:32:29.120 has already said even if we get a rain they're not lifting it until we get a lot of rain right
00:32:34.040 but with the fire weather index system if it rains tonight in your area any band can be lifted
00:32:39.880 tomorrow because the fine fuel moisture content goes back down to zero with any amount any amount
00:32:45.040 of rain which means you're allowed to go back to normal things that you would normally do for at
00:32:48.840 least a day or two and if it dries up we'll shut you down again so the blanket thing that he put
00:32:53.520 in place for people got to realize this is for 10 weeks this is the rest of our entire tourist season
00:32:57.980 here in Nova Scotia just I mean gone fishing season hunting seasons um all kinds of different
00:33:03.880 stuff has just been wiped out right like I don't know what the total cost is going to be but it's
00:33:09.400 absolutely devastating to the province but the people who are afraid shadow are afraid and I
00:33:14.460 can't make them unafraid I'll give you an example today in Nova Scotia we had a heat warning
00:33:18.180 and the heat warning was for 83 degrees Fahrenheit for anybody in the U.S. listening to this
00:33:24.580 so 28 degrees i know i think it was 27 degrees fahrenheit maybe 28 27 degrees fahrenheit correct
00:33:31.840 me if i'm wrong but i think it's 82.3 or 82.4 degrees fahrenheit i remember in my old radio
00:33:37.800 days 28 was 82 so 29 yeah yeah so here we are and the whole the whole weather map for nova scotia
00:33:45.660 when you watch the weather on the news everything's red there's flashing warnings on my phone here all
00:33:49.880 that. Heat wave, heat wave. People in the U.S. think we're insane. If you come down here and
00:33:54.400 you go, when I was a kid growing up on Cape Breton Island, we didn't go to the beach until it was
00:33:58.560 85 degrees. Anything colder than that, it's too cold for the beach, man. And now it's weather
00:34:04.240 warnings. And, you know, the federal government's throwing, Mark Carney's throwing $14 million
00:34:08.760 now into an education program, the federal education program that teaches little kids
00:34:13.160 that climate change is an existential threat to their life. So I can't blame everything that's
00:34:19.340 going on here in nova scotia on just incompetence i would like to it needs to be more than that
00:34:26.420 yeah so what happened so the other thing i did too shadows as part of my job i was a game warden
00:34:32.840 too and and i was a decent investigator and investigators looked at circumstantial evidence
00:34:38.420 and then you have to take a compilation of all the circumstantial evidence and say well where's
00:34:43.900 the point because one other thing i didn't mention was we used to have five man fire crews in every
00:34:47.820 district and the province cut them back to three so they cut them back to three they got rid of
00:34:52.660 the helitag team they stopped giving out the full the full uh uh fire pump uh assemblies to fire i've
00:35:00.740 talked to fire guys today they said they gave us hose pete but they didn't give us a fire pump
00:35:04.660 and they said well how are you supposed to set up a fire pump operation without the pump he said we
00:35:08.640 asked that too i i was blown away district offices have been shut down where they don't have people
00:35:15.140 there to take calls. And without a fire tower system right now, Nova Scotia is unmonitored
00:35:23.280 right now. And we have some pretty serious weather conditions. And we're starting to get
00:35:28.460 what's called a DC code or your Duff code is actually, not Duff code, your DC, but whatever
00:35:38.560 it is, I forget now, it's a measurement of the big logs laying on the ground, how dry they are.
00:35:44.340 And they're starting to get dry. And there's a few places in the province where those readings are over 500.
00:35:49.300 But I saw that all kinds of times back in the 80s and 90s. Right.
00:35:53.220 And even into the 2000s. And we never, ever did this to the province.
00:35:56.560 And if you did have a travel ban, it initially started with all all forestry equipment.
00:36:01.560 So all forestry equipment right now is allowed to operate in the province with permits.
00:36:05.260 Now, they have to operate in the evening. I think they have to be out of the woods at eight o'clock in the morning.
00:36:09.820 But but it's still daylight down here at six in the morning.
00:36:13.000 And what if you wanted to take you and your wife wanted to take your dog for a walk?
00:36:17.540 And we get a lot of fog down here and a lot of a lot of humidity and we get a lot of water on the grass in that in the morning.
00:36:23.440 So what if you wanted to take right now in Nova Scotia for you and your wife wanted to take your dog for a walk at seven in the morning and back by eight?
00:36:30.360 By the time the industrial guys are out of the woods, that's fifty eight thousand dollars in fines.
00:36:34.640 And if it's raining, listen to this shadow. If it's a light rain, you're still getting the ticket.
00:36:40.000 so to be clear because somebody had said something on social media the other day i went and looked at
00:36:48.300 the story and looked at the story again and this person was wrong it's a complete and total ban
00:36:54.640 on going against any woods even if they're on your own property am i correct in saying that
00:36:59.780 no if it's on your own land you're allowed to walk on your own land but you can't let's say
00:37:04.680 I came to your place.
00:37:05.980 I can't walk on your land with you if it's forested.
00:37:10.720 So your property rights just went out the window.
00:37:12.960 So it doesn't make sense.
00:37:14.220 I'll give you an example.
00:37:15.060 Someone brought this up to me today, too.
00:37:16.480 I was talking to a fireman from down the South Shore in Nova Scotia.
00:37:19.220 He said, what about electric vehicles?
00:37:21.140 He said, you do know if they're on a back road anywhere.
00:37:23.340 And he said, one of them catches fire.
00:37:24.960 We don't have the equipment to put them out.
00:37:27.360 They're going to burn and burn for two days before they're burned down into the ground.
00:37:31.040 And, you know, is there a ban on electric vehicles right now?
00:37:34.200 No.
00:37:34.680 Is there a ban on golf courses? No. Is there a ban on there's a bunch of things that there are bands on and you can get a permit.
00:37:41.540 But imagine not being allowed to carry a cell phone when the government relied on cell phone users in remote areas to call in fires when they get rid of the tower system.
00:37:52.700 Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. So, you know, you talked earlier about people being afraid.
00:37:58.100 And this was the great the greatest tool for being able to manipulate the masses, make them afraid.
00:38:03.900 so the people in nova scotia are afraid that they think their house in the middle of halifax is
00:38:09.600 going to burn down aren't this going to be a sad question or maybe a sad answer but i mean don't
00:38:18.980 these people recognize the pattern that is being executed by the government of nova scotia right
00:38:24.040 now it's almost the exact same pattern they executed during covet when they say that it's
00:38:29.640 non-essential for anybody to they didn't use the expression non-essential and non-essential but
00:38:34.300 they said well things that you know walking in the woods things that that many of us most of us
00:38:38.540 never do anyway right so he made it seem like it's you're not going to be affected by this
00:38:43.320 yeah so it's not almost shadow it's exactly the same i'll give you an example fishing's not
00:38:48.280 essential but playing golf is well that's what i was about to ask so i mean you on a golf course
00:38:54.820 if you hit your ball into the woods can you go look for it uh you can it'll cost you twenty
00:39:00.660 eight thousand eight hundred and fifty dollars and fifty cents but somebody helping you then
00:39:05.320 he gets a ticket too but some of these golf courses are in the woods i called two days ago
00:39:11.920 i called fire control their headquarters and asked that exact question i said is it our golf course
00:39:18.960 is being shut down and they said it's up to the golf course i said well what about the ones in
00:39:22.600 the woods. He said, those are good questions. That's a good question I can't answer. And I
00:39:26.720 said, well, what about our indigenous populations? Does this affect them? And he went, ah, well,
00:39:31.460 um, uh, well, uh, no. Okay. He said, well, on federal lands, but when they're on, not on federal
00:39:40.280 lands, I'm not sure. And I don't know who to refer you to. And I said, okay, so our indigenous
00:39:45.540 population, this doesn't apply to them. It doesn't apply to golfers. And then I said, and it doesn't 0.99
00:39:51.200 apply to people with industrial operations in the woods and they have permits. And then it doesn't
00:39:55.780 apply to anybody who apparently is connected. They're allowed to do what they want to do when
00:40:03.140 they can get permits. But for the average guy who wants to take his dog for a walk in the woods
00:40:08.060 right now, you're not allowed to. And they're going to be ruthless. And Tim Houston, come on,
00:40:13.240 and he said, there's going to be no exceptions. So the other question I asked him, Shadow, they said,
00:40:17.820 well, okay, we're getting a lot of questions. If you have a path that goes down to the ocean or
00:40:24.360 to a beach, for example, if it's just a short walk, you can go there. So I said, look, I need
00:40:30.700 a definition for legal reasons. I said, what's the definition of a short walk? The one person
00:40:34.960 that's 10 feet, another person that's a kilometer. Well, that's a good question too.
00:40:40.540 And we don't have a definition of what's a short walk. Okay. So what you're saying is
00:40:46.500 None of this was thought out.
00:40:48.340 None of this has been thought through other than every day,
00:40:52.520 get on the weather and say, we're having a heat warning today.
00:40:55.480 It's in the low 80s, high humidity.
00:40:59.240 And here's the crazy thing.
00:41:00.700 They'll get on and say, due to the humidity,
00:41:02.860 it's going to feel like it's 92 degrees or 34.
00:41:06.680 Well, high humidity drops fire weather indices.
00:41:12.660 So the higher the humidity, the more humid it is,
00:41:15.620 the less likelihood a fire is going to start.
00:41:18.360 So what happens here is all of a sudden the whole climate agenda that said
00:41:21.680 climate, you know, the drier woods is called,
00:41:24.980 and fires are caused by climate change.
00:41:27.140 Now they're caused by someone scuffling their feet apparently on the gravel
00:41:30.540 or driving a bicycle on an abandoned railroad track.
00:41:33.880 So there's so many businesses at business that are going to get wiped out by
00:41:38.620 this. You've got to remember, this is their peak season.
00:41:40.500 This is when people in Nova Scotia took their vacation the last couple of
00:41:43.440 weeks in august and the first you know before back to school and the people that are afraid
00:41:48.160 are the ones the squeaky wheels and they're on talk show radio i think that i think that he did
00:41:54.360 and i mean i get called everything under the sun for just giving them information i said here's the
00:41:59.280 cold hard facts i'm not trying to i'm not trying to sway i'm just giving you the cold hard facts
00:42:05.000 like i say we had one woman killed by coyotes and nobody killed by fires and here's the issue is
00:42:11.040 Last year, Shadow of Nova Scotia, we had 77 fatalities on the highway.
00:42:16.860 This is a pretty slippery slope.
00:42:18.780 If this is all designed for our safety, what's to stop the premier from on the long weekend saying, you know what, last long weekend we had eight people killed.
00:42:26.140 We're just for this year, just for a trial, everybody stays home this long weekend.
00:42:31.420 There'll be no traveling.
00:42:32.280 That way we know for sure no one's going to be killed on the highway.
00:42:34.840 Well, that's what we're expecting.
00:42:36.680 Many people have couched this as the beginning or experiment.
00:42:40.340 in the climate lockdowns i want to talk to you about those squeaky wheels these people
00:42:45.800 who feel as though they are going to be the police of society we saw it happen you're in covid when
00:42:50.900 they were calling uh the snitch lines on their neighbors ah my neighbor uh two doors down has
00:42:56.100 got six people over i know it's thanksgiving but you got to come and do something well they're
00:43:00.340 doing that very same thing in nova scotia i hear that line is flooded with calls it's to the point
00:43:05.240 If somebody tries to call in, you can't get through.
00:43:11.360 When people are afraid, you can convince them to do anything.
00:43:15.700 And that's a sad fact.
00:43:17.060 And the premier's done a great job of it.
00:43:18.860 And the press has gone in.
00:43:21.620 I don't know where all the funding is coming from, but a lot of the press that survived in Nova Scotia still gets federal funding.
00:43:27.080 And the federal government requires that you push a climate narrative.
00:43:30.100 I mean, there's a bunch of things going on here.
00:43:31.620 I don't mean to sound too conspiratorial, but as a former investigator, I just look at evidence.
00:43:36.680 And the evidence keeps piling up that this is not just a straight, this is not just a straight, a fire ban.
00:43:44.140 Because a straight fire ban, they would have looked at that FWI data, fire weather index data, and wouldn't have put it in when they did.
00:43:51.780 Now, don't get me wrong.
00:43:52.840 They may have considered it actually today, but there's been a couple of fires this August that didn't make it bigger than an acre.
00:43:59.240 They were right beside the road, and someone jumped on them right away.
00:44:02.120 They didn't need a hell attack crew.
00:44:03.420 But I'll give you an example.
00:44:04.420 In the highlands of Nova Scotia, there's nobody up there today.
00:44:07.520 And if that burns, that's a fire that'll burn a couple of hundred thousand acres,
00:44:10.800 and that'll burn from one end of Cape Breton Island to the other.
00:44:14.940 And what will happen up there, Shadow, if there's nobody there to call in a smoke,
00:44:18.560 and they don't have hell attack, and they don't have those ground crews up there as quick as they need to be,
00:44:22.500 they won't be able to contain it.
00:44:24.160 And I watched that happen in my career in the 80s, and I watched it happen again in the 90s,
00:44:27.840 in between. I retired in 2012. And that was just around. And I was one of them healthy guys like I
00:44:34.260 would at a staff meeting when they were coming up with this crazy nonsense stuff, I would question
00:44:38.400 it. And the day I left, there was a bunch of people in management with, thank God,
00:44:43.440 MacIsaac's gone. Now we can push forward any agenda that we want and we're not going to be
00:44:47.400 questioned. Right. And I'm not I'm not against some of the things that the government is trying
00:44:53.840 to do. But the reality of it is what I am against is lying, oppressive politicians that continually
00:45:00.400 lie to me. And I know that Tim Houston, when him and I parted ways, I caught him lying to me,
00:45:05.460 to my face for the third time. And I went, wow, we've got ourselves a pathological lying
00:45:11.680 psychopath who has no problem in looking me straight in the eye and lying to me. 0.95
00:45:18.800 And after he did it the third time, I went, okay, so this is not a one-off. This is not a mistake.
00:45:22.900 you operate this way and so that's what the premier is doing right now do we have any
00:45:26.780 conservatives left in this country um i mean they may call themselves that and they may run under
00:45:34.140 that banner so when i wrote that book the redneck conservative how conservatives are made i still
00:45:40.160 have a conservative mindset but all the parties are wings of the same bird i haven't heard any
00:45:47.520 other i actually i i haven't heard the federal liberals say anything about this i haven't heard
00:45:53.200 the federal conservatives saying anything about this climate lockdown and don't kid yourself this
00:45:57.720 is north america's first major for this length of time climate lockdown joe rogan's talking about it
00:46:04.000 and when joe rogan's talks about the lunacy in nova scotia and every province in nova scotia is
00:46:09.180 talking about this i got a phone call yesterday from germany shadow saying is this really happening
00:46:14.320 in canada are you kidding me and when they fell you know i said yeah you and your wife 58 grand
00:46:19.800 for walking in the rain with a dog it can happen michelle ferrari talked about it a bit she's no
00:46:25.060 longer an mp obviously she did a like a two-minute video on instagram or something but i watched the
00:46:30.700 comments on that video peter and she was absolutely outraged that tim houston would ever think of
00:46:38.080 doing such a thing locking people out of the forest yeah and then as the comments progressed
00:46:43.920 right she she backpedaled and she said well you know maybe it's just the way it's been
00:46:49.060 communicated i mean it's terrible and so people called her out on that including myself and and
00:46:53.460 they said michelle your video states that a complete and total ban on being able to go into
00:47:00.180 the woods in nova scotia is absolutely ridiculous and you're calling on the premier to remove it
00:47:06.060 and then a few comments down the line you're saying well maybe it was just the way it was
00:47:10.700 communicated no but that's not the issue the issue is waffling right well it's not just the
00:47:18.480 waffling shadow it's that and covet exposed this we didn't have we the real pandemic that canada
00:47:25.280 had was a pandemic of moral cowardice yeah and covet showed you who you can rely on and who's
00:47:31.300 going to crack when they're afraid and literally everybody that was still driving around right now
00:47:36.700 in the vehicle with a mask years later,
00:47:39.520 they're on the phones and they're on talk radio right now
00:47:41.780 saying, oh my God, you're so selfish
00:47:43.500 and get your ego out of the way.
00:47:46.280 Do something for the community.
00:47:48.500 Stop thinking about yourself.
00:47:50.500 Yeah.
00:47:50.920 Have you ever been near a house
00:47:52.620 when it needed to be evacuated and stuff?
00:47:54.640 And yeah, I've been on 60,000 acre fires.
00:47:57.240 I've seen walls of flame
00:47:59.920 that are 300 to 400 feet high, buddy,
00:48:01.880 that sound like a freight train coming at you.
00:48:04.520 And so people don't understand that.
00:48:06.700 And so a guy like me, there's not a single other person in the government of Nova Scotia speaking up about this because every one of them will be crushed by Tim Houston if they do.
00:48:16.500 So I, I, I, I know you don't want to sound too conspiratorial.
00:48:22.360 You said it.
00:48:23.880 But you did say something to me.
00:48:26.240 I'm bringing this up because you said you didn't want to before the show started.
00:48:29.960 And then I said, you can't not.
00:48:33.220 Some.
00:48:33.920 And again, you, you're an investigator.
00:48:35.740 yeah you follow the evidence there's nothing concrete you follow the circumstantial evidence
00:48:41.240 what's in front of you you look at and you piece it together you follow it to its natural conclusion
00:48:46.640 so what the hell's going on so mark harney wrote a book called values his entire raison d'etre his
00:48:54.940 reason for being is a club is to somehow get in a position of power declare a climate emergency
00:49:02.140 and bring in net zero policies.
00:49:04.780 And that's exactly what he's trying to do in the province.
00:49:07.140 Now, Tim Houston's been at barbecues up in Ontario
00:49:09.720 with Sean Cretchen and at Christy Freeland's house.
00:49:14.960 And the only two conservative premiers
00:49:17.000 that were supposed to be there was Tim Houston
00:49:19.200 and Doug Ford, right?
00:49:22.140 And I saw a picture of it.
00:49:23.620 So Tim is not a conservative.
00:49:26.200 And I know he's had meetings already with Mark Kearney.
00:49:29.300 And so right now, Nova Scotia is trying
00:49:30.780 to put in a massive windmill.
00:49:32.140 firm offshore. We want to be, according to Tim, we want to be the people that set the standard
00:49:40.720 for the green initiative. Well, in order to have a green initiative and do what he wants to do,
00:49:46.540 he's going to need tens of billions of dollars and this province doesn't have them. They're
00:49:49.780 going to need money and they're going to need big federal money and investors like Brookfield
00:49:52.900 Assets Management. And the person who holds the keys to Brookfield Assets Management is Mark
00:49:57.980 Kearney. And so all I'm looking at is circumstantial evidence. And I've sat down with other investigators
00:50:04.980 that said the same thing. And they've said to me, well, do you think that there's a possibility
00:50:10.380 Tim Houston has got some kind of a side deal with Mark Kearney to help push a climate agenda
00:50:14.700 to help because that pushes his agenda? And that justifies since Tim Houston's done this,
00:50:19.800 you got to remember New Brunswick's already done it, that they put in a travel ban here.
00:50:23.940 if it wasn't yesterday it was today so they have a woods travel ban now and in newfoundland they
00:50:29.560 have vans over there that if uh if if you break their fire legislation you can get 50 up to 150
00:50:36.400 thousand dollars in fines and six months in jail now newfoundland's got a little more common sense
00:50:41.960 because they had a ban on atv travel and then they got so much pushback because they need atvs to get
00:50:47.860 around over there they said look as long as you have a spark arrestor it's not a problem but i can
00:50:52.260 quantifiably tell the people of Nova Scotia there's never been a fire started by a smartwatch
00:50:57.040 or a cell phone or someone simply walking in the woods or someone fishing. And there's legislation
00:51:02.700 to penalize people for throwing a butt, any type of substance or anything that might start a fire.
00:51:08.080 That legislation all exists. And then Tim Houston, people need to remember that the first $25,000
00:51:14.720 fine in Nova Scotia was implemented by Tim Houston during the truckers rally for people
00:51:20.800 standing on the side of the highway with a sign that said freedom and if you if you stood on the
00:51:25.640 side of the highways in nova scotia on an overpass with a sign saying freedom go truckers he was going
00:51:31.040 to hit you with a 25 000 fine and he didn't get enough pushback because people were terrified
00:51:36.200 and then he didn't he also put a fire ban in after the 2023 fires and left it in place while
00:51:42.080 we were getting record-breaking rains where i live here in bedford nova scotia we were the main road
00:51:47.420 here in Bedford was under 10 feet of water we had massive floods and he kept that that fire ban in
00:51:53.000 place uh for for days after those while those massive floods were going on and then still kept
00:51:58.720 them in the fire areas after the fires were they hadn't been declared out but there was no smoke
00:52:03.400 left and there was no no reason at all to keep the ban in place and that ban was a charter violation
00:52:08.380 as well Shadow but nobody challenged them and nobody wants to get involved in charter challenges
00:52:14.060 because I'm in the middle of one now is because they're costly and they eat up a ton of time and
00:52:18.240 they take a lot of time but Tim Houston learned his lesson with that one that if I can scare
00:52:22.500 enough people they'll do exactly what they're told and with $28,000 fines hinging on it how
00:52:27.800 many people do you think are going to stick their neck out well enough people are getting fed up
00:52:31.580 they're starting to make videos and go this is absolute nonsense right and because they can't
00:52:35.920 define a lot of things and because this doesn't apply to our indigenous folks here in Nova Scotia
00:52:40.960 then and it doesn't apply to golfers and a bunch of other people i think he's just about at the
00:52:46.440 breaking limit and we've had two small fires already this month like i said that didn't get
00:52:50.080 out of hand but i think it's at the breaking point and the thing is is i listened to another
00:52:55.440 talk show today in ontario and snow is the guy's name uh do you know the guy that i'm talking about
00:53:01.440 and i listened to all the comments up in ontario too right and people from nova scotia oh we
00:53:05.920 support the premier and here's another thing i know about the premier the premier's not above
00:53:09.460 getting a lot of the people his supporters to call in on talk shows to say he's doing a wonderful job
00:53:14.800 oh yeah yeah they get him on the comment on on social media also it's a bought farm or whatever
00:53:20.260 maybe it's a farmer or he has no problem with seeding the audience the man seeding an audience
00:53:24.600 the man's absolutely ruthless but every time someone calls in and goes you know you've never
00:53:29.200 been around a house that that that's you know there's there's a chance of it burning down well
00:53:32.780 here's the chance that's coming right now in the fire forecast we have potential for a thunderstorm
00:53:36.600 with very little rain but with thunder comes lightning and in some of these areas now because
00:53:41.500 we don't have people in the woods with cell phones and fire towers you could get a log hit with
00:53:45.760 lightning and no one's going to know until that fire gets to the point where the problems is not
00:53:50.560 going to be able to handle it because of bad management poor decisions and budget cuts over
00:53:55.500 the last 10 years and i personally advise tim houston that this was going to be a problem
00:53:59.800 and he personally decided to ignore it peter i uh i'm not sure you watched the jeff evely video
00:54:06.320 the one where he actually goes into the woods yeah um i i he's going to be on the show tomorrow
00:54:11.920 night by the way jeff is and um i'm on another show with him tomorrow morning you guys have been
00:54:17.200 busy these last few days and for good reason um the conservation officers there were three of them
00:54:24.400 he was very polite when he went into that into that office and they were polite as well but they
00:54:29.520 one of them said i'm going to double your fine and i couldn't understand why and what i also
00:54:34.640 couldn't understand was that these guys, and again, this goes right back to our COVID days,
00:54:41.420 these guys were willing to go ahead and enforce that ridiculous ban that the premier put into
00:54:47.580 place because they're just doing their job. I'm wondering if there's any conservation officers
00:54:54.020 anywhere that would defy something ridiculous like that. I mean, why doesn't the premier just 0.86
00:54:58.900 say, hey, you know, on Tuesdays, everybody has to skip to work on one foot. You can't take your
00:55:04.360 car you just got to skip to work on one foot and if you don't you're going to get a 25 000 fine 0.91
00:55:09.260 and so that's the height of ridiculous ridiculousness that nova scotia has descended
00:55:15.660 into because what you're saying shadow was if he gets away with this one he can get away with 0.98
00:55:20.400 anything and he knows he's not stupid the man one thing you got to give tim houston he's ruthless
00:55:24.920 and he's not stupid and he's very very well connected and so i worked with a lot of guys
00:55:30.820 over the years all conservation officers are granted discretion nobody has to do anything
00:55:37.380 you don't have to write anybody a ticket you control the pen and you could say look i'll give
00:55:41.800 you a warning on this one my understanding though from my time in both politics here in the province
00:55:47.480 because i ran i ran for government after i get out i was naive enough to think i could make a
00:55:51.440 difference and then i uh here's the way things work so that people know the premier decides here's
00:55:57.980 what he wants to do for political reasons. Then he calls his deputy minister and says, make it
00:56:02.520 happen. First of all, he calls his minister. And if the minister's got any backbone, he says, Tim,
00:56:07.700 no, we're not doing that. This is crazy. But in Nova Scotia, if the minister says that, he's
00:56:11.400 going under the bus. So he says, yes, sir. Right. With the hand up, the old East Germany type of
00:56:18.560 thing. Anyways. And then he tells his deputy minister and the deputy minister calls his
00:56:24.100 senior director. And the senior director calls the manager and says, make it happen. And if the
00:56:28.860 manager doesn't make it happen, then what happens is he gets replaced just quietly. Look, if you
00:56:35.480 won't do what we're telling you to do, we'll find someone who will. So now the province is packed
00:56:39.420 with yes man. And I saw a good man stand there on Friday and give a warning on the government
00:56:44.000 website. And I went right on underneath him and said, Scott, just tell the truth. Say no. Tell
00:56:48.860 people what the real reason is. Tell them based on the numbers that there's no justification for
00:56:53.600 a province-wide travel ban just just be honest with people but if he beats on it if you know
00:56:59.120 if he can tell us the truth shadow he probably got a wife and kids he got to feed and in this
00:57:03.920 province because the premier is a mason he's not going to be working anymore he'll be gone and he
00:57:09.280 won't be able to be hired anywhere and that's the way this province works yeah not only is he fired
00:57:14.820 but he's got a black mark on his record for the rest of his life so he's not gonna yeah and so
00:57:21.480 So even with me, like even when I had had, you know, I had four kids, I saw all kinds of crazy stuff happen, but never to this level.
00:57:28.880 But you would see things and corruption and stuff, and they couldn't wait.
00:57:32.560 I mean, the day I left, I went, OK, I'm going to go in and upset the apple carrot.
00:57:36.940 Have you seen this story? It just came out today or yesterday.
00:57:39.760 There's just too many fires. Calls grow for National Wildfire Agency.
00:57:44.980 Yeah. So who's that coming from?
00:57:47.200 Well, that story from who was it?
00:57:49.120 That was left wing corporate CTV.
00:57:51.480 Yeah, so those guys, people have to realize that down here in Atlantic Canada, CTV, ATV Atlantic, they were almost bankrupt last December.
00:58:00.300 They were crying for money.
00:58:01.700 And all of a sudden, they swung hard left, supporting everything in the Kearney campaign.
00:58:06.720 Someone must, they didn't declare bankruptcy.
00:58:09.320 They got the money somewhere.
00:58:10.720 So basically, everyone's bought off in mainstream media.
00:58:13.320 So we have to go to people like you to rely on getting the truth.
00:58:16.900 i'll be doing this stuff for the night i'm booked for the next five days because nobody down here
00:58:21.900 will stick their neck out and say what i'm saying well what are they going to do to me
00:58:25.400 nothing i got a special skill set leave me alone but amazingly if everybody did step up and say
00:58:33.200 something and i guess this is like the jerry mcguire effect right who's coming with me yeah
00:58:37.580 nobody crickets yeah i mean if we could get everybody together and just say you know what 0.96
00:58:41.640 this is ridiculous you guys know it's ridiculous they know it's ridiculous they're play acting 0.96
00:58:45.960 just tell them no you know like jeff evely goes into the fire or sorry the woods all by himself 0.98
00:58:51.000 he gets a 28 875 ticket but if you put 500 people or 5 000 people into the bush in nova scotia what
00:59:00.700 would they do about that peter well i think the secret is to have a palestinian protest
00:59:05.060 right i saw a meme the other day i put it up it was hiking for palestine
00:59:10.680 and so what would happen is then the mounties would usher you in and they'd bring you coffee
00:59:14.960 later right so right if that happened and and here's here's the other issue shadow is i would
00:59:21.560 say that the co's were probably told the conservation officer in nova scotia zero leniency
00:59:26.460 none if we have proof that you cut anybody any leniency you won't be doing this job anymore
00:59:31.740 because that's the way it works and people like to think that people you know that and to be honest
00:59:36.920 with you anytime management tells tells the co what they have to do that that's a that's a criminal
00:59:42.620 and co-defense. They're not allowed to do that.
00:59:45.320 They're not allowed to screw 0.81
00:59:46.540 or like they cannot direct police forces,
00:59:48.920 right? They legally
00:59:50.420 can't, but they often do.
00:59:52.580 The PMO still directs the RCMP.
00:59:54.740 That's why the RCMP won't
00:59:56.460 charge. When was the last time you saw a Liberal MP
00:59:58.340 charge with anything?
01:00:00.460 This is not going to happen. The PMO controls the RCMP.
01:00:03.100 And down here, the Premier's office
01:00:04.680 controls the COs, and they do exactly
01:00:06.480 what you're told. Do you know what shows you're going to be
01:00:08.580 on, Peter? We've got to wrap up.
01:00:10.100 Yeah, in the morning, I'm on with, I think, Levine out west there.
01:00:16.780 I'm trying to remember his first name.
01:00:17.660 Jason? Okay.
01:00:18.320 Jason Levine, yeah.
01:00:19.280 Jeff and I are on with Jason Levine tomorrow morning, but it'll be short.
01:00:23.220 And all I'd ask is that if anybody wants to stay up to date with what's going on here,
01:00:28.100 follow me at PeterRMcIsaac on X, and I'm heavily shadow banned.
01:00:33.600 And I guess, is that where you got the name Shadow?
01:00:37.420 Is that a nickname or your real name, Shadow?
01:00:39.400 That's part of it, but it goes back way, way years ago.
01:00:43.660 So it's not just recent shadow banning.
01:00:46.360 So why don't you put band in there?
01:00:48.360 Shadow ban to Davis.
01:00:51.080 Anyway, look, thanks for having me on.
01:00:53.680 So what that is is a lot of the back story that you won't get from anywhere else.
01:00:57.540 And all the premier has to do is cancel one of the orders on those three helicopters,
01:01:01.740 bring back in Helitack, and make some serious changes and go, you know what?
01:01:05.460 uh we uh i was i had some real issues in regards to the fires i was on a talk show sunday where i
01:01:11.380 said look he's exhibiting signs of ptsd maybe he needs to go check into uh the mental health
01:01:16.420 division for uh nova scotia health care and find out how that's going to work for him and then i
01:01:20.340 challenged him to be on talk radio and he said okay can you get him to come in and i said uh
01:01:26.060 i said i've been fishing with the guy he's a moral coward he's not going to come in and debate me
01:01:30.200 on this issue because i'll tear him apart i wonder if there's any mechanism within nova
01:01:34.940 scotia or canadian law for that matter to remove a an elected official who's suffering from a mental
01:01:40.960 breakdown so like i said i'm not a doctor but when you bring in all your mlas and say this has
01:01:47.140 really got me messed up i mean i can't sleep i'm worrying about you know 2023 happening again well
01:01:53.560 2023 happened legally and there's nothing that he put in place right now that could stop it and the
01:01:58.120 only thing he could do to fix it was bring back hell attack get a better helicopter when he had
01:02:03.100 an opportunity to do it, increase the fire crew sizes,
01:02:06.620 and then let the professionals take the fire weather index
01:02:10.640 and let the system we have in place that works do its job 0.54
01:02:13.980 and keep the politics out of it.
01:02:16.380 Peter, thank you.
01:02:17.540 Have a great night, and we'll talk to you again soon.
01:02:20.440 Thanks, Shadow.
01:02:21.480 All right, brother.
01:02:21.920 The intel's funny.
01:02:22.560 Yep.
01:02:23.320 There's Peter McIsaac, you guys.
01:02:25.040 Peter McIsaac, former firefighter, veteran firefighter from Nova Scotia.
01:02:31.600 I've got more for you.
01:02:32.440 I'll be right back in 30 seconds.
01:03:02.440 peter is always a great guest tomorrow night jeff evely who the man who walked 13 paces into the
01:03:10.800 woods in nova scotia received a 28 875 dollar ticket joins the show and here's how he got that
01:03:18.780 ticket hey everybody jeff evely here out in nova scotia on mountain road in coxie and as you can
01:03:30.460 see behind me this is the woods but over here this is not the woods this is the department of
01:03:42.860 natural resources where the conservation officers work who issued 25 000 fines for going in the
01:03:51.660 woods yes sure you want to show me where the woods is out back here
01:03:57.420 work right wherever you want we still have to suggest that they don't i understand yeah
01:04:05.500 yeah he just ordered me he said he's going to double my fine yeah no i'm going to defy that
01:04:10.700 order nothing so one more time this is the dnr office on mountain road in coxie nova scotia and
01:04:19.760 this is not the woods. Back here, this is the woods. So I have a couple of conservation officers
01:04:28.100 with me right now who are not on camera but have advised me that if I go into the woods,
01:04:34.380 if I defy their orders to go into the woods, then I will be fined. And they also said that
01:04:39.780 they would double my fine to $50,000. So I'm going to walk down here and go into these woods.
01:04:49.760 I don't know that there's a good spot to do this but I'm just gonna make this as
01:04:56.120 painless as I can for those guys and go in here and they have me on camera as
01:05:09.400 walking in the woods. This is not the woods.
01:05:19.940 Hi, I was just out back with three gentlemen there. They said they would meet me back in here.
01:05:25.240 the woods yeah without a forest trial permit when proclamation is effect you have a court plea date
01:05:34.840 yeah your due date is the 12th of september so it's a lot quicker just the ticket so okay yeah
01:05:40.760 that makes sense so this is okay so this is an sot and that is for summons to accused what is
01:05:48.920 this some real offense ticket yeah for today's dig um your information forced act 25 sub one
01:05:58.600 um fine is 28 870 250. okay i thought it was 25 000 it's 28 870 oh victim fees yeah okay sounds
01:06:11.880 I have a ticket here for $28,870.50 for victimizing somebody.
01:06:27.180 Okay, so more to follow.
01:06:31.400 Yeah, so Jeff is going to be on the show tomorrow night.
01:06:34.600 We're going to talk more about this and how he's going to pursue this.
01:06:38.620 What's to follow?
01:06:39.460 Well, apparently, according to Peter MacIsaac, he's got a team of lawyers who are on board. 0.83
01:06:44.220 And we do know that John Carpe of the JCCF, who was on the show last week, said, you know, something we definitely consider following up on if somebody's got the balls to go into the woods, that is.
01:07:00.540 Our friend Greg Wycliffe, because I asked this question earlier tonight, are conservatives conservatives anymore?
01:07:06.420 i don't know they seem to make a point and sometimes it's a good one and then they waffle
01:07:14.160 back they have no backbone they have nothing to back it up with actually they do have plenty 0.91
01:07:19.200 to back it up with but they choose to not why do they keep backing off are they cowards
01:07:26.280 or are they being told to back off the high profile ones not the backbenchers
01:07:31.920 the high profile ones are the ones they worry about the most so here's greg talking about that
01:07:38.400 very thing conservatives in canada doing okay right now uh the premier of nova scotia is a
01:07:44.800 progressive conservative and he just said don't go in the woods or else we're going to find you
01:07:50.140 25 000 this is the conservative acting like some sort of eco-fascist the conservative the progressive
01:07:58.040 conservative is doing this. By the way, haven't heard anyone from the Polyev camp or the CPC camp 0.80
01:08:03.560 condemning this outrageous policy, by the way. Conservative party, federal conservative party.
01:08:09.460 And then you have Danielle Smith in Alberta, the most conservative province, the most conservative 0.63
01:08:14.320 premier. Do you know who she just nominated or chose to be the provincial police chief?
01:08:21.860 the first provincial police force is run by this guy named Sat Singh Parhar. Sat Singh Parhar
01:08:30.580 is your police chief of Alberta. Albertans. Hey, Alberta separatists, Alberta prosperity.
01:08:38.000 Sat Singh Parhar is your police chief. And he has a really interesting background. Mocha Bezergan
01:08:44.340 has been exposing this guy, this new police chief, and like no one else is covering this for some
01:08:48.900 reason. It's outrageous. And there's a lot of things that do not smell good about this Singh
01:08:54.040 Parhar guy. And I'll just go over this email that Mocha sent to Premier Smith and the questions
01:09:00.280 that he asked Premier Smith. Dear Premier Smith, what specific criteria or vetting process was
01:09:06.080 used to select Satpal Singh Parhar for this? Were the serious allegations and unresolved
01:09:11.360 lawsuits involving Mr. Parhar during his time at Calgary Police Service disclosed to your office
01:09:17.280 prior to the appointment. Did your office or any relevant provincial authority conduct a
01:09:21.920 background check into Mr. Parhar's business interests including Retrain Canada and Solve
01:09:27.000 Cyber Solutions? If so, were those investigators aware of the Huawei listing on Retrain Nigeria's
01:09:34.600 website and Parhar's continuing shareholder role through a numbered company? Do you view it as
01:09:39.860 concerning that someone with the background in intelligence and organized crime investigations
01:09:43.960 is a current shareholder in a company that has Huawei as a client,
01:09:47.840 a firm treated as a threat to national security both by Canada and the U.S.?
01:09:52.260 Those are really good questions from Mocha Bezergan.
01:09:54.900 I highly recommend you go check out his content
01:09:57.300 if you want to learn more about your new police chief, Alberta.
01:10:00.440 And my question is simple.
01:10:01.620 Why aren't more people talking about this?
01:10:04.580 Like, where is the motion?
01:10:06.380 Where is the sort of outrage with conservatives?
01:10:09.140 Like, this is a national security threat.
01:10:11.380 retrain nigeria is actually connected to a world economic forum initiative as well
01:10:16.680 they're called manpower group w and manpower is the partner of retrain canada and retrain nigeria
01:10:23.480 by the way sat paul singh parhar used to be here listed as a chairman but ever since mocha has
01:10:29.600 published his findings oh what do you know sat par sat parhar singh is no longer on the uh board
01:10:35.180 for retrain nigeria albertans conservatives you gotta start asking questions all right well greg
01:10:41.200 brings up some very good points there i found out some stuff today i'm not able to give you
01:10:47.200 everything yet i will be able to on wednesday night when grant abraham joins the show grant
01:10:54.100 is um the leader of the united party of canada so he is a federalist party we're going to talk
01:11:02.160 about alberta sovereignty on wednesday night and all kinds of other things grant currently is
01:11:06.780 running for that vacant seat in the by-election next Monday in Battle River Crowfoot against
01:11:11.440 Pierre Polyev. We had a great discussion on the phone today, Grant and I did, and
01:11:15.480 he talked extensively about Pierre Polyev and specifically about why he didn't get
01:11:22.300 his security clearance. And it may not be what we all think it was.
01:11:30.040 so you guys wednesday night very compelling show we're gonna just open some curtains for you
01:11:42.180 on wednesday night we're gonna go hard on this one grant abraham joins the show
01:11:47.560 and are there any real conservatives left i mean just because they call themselves conservative
01:11:54.340 doesn't mean they're conservative right i don't think manitoba's got a conservative party left
01:11:59.380 progressive conservative i don't think so the conservative part anyway ontario doug ford i
01:12:06.780 think he's a liberal i think they want him to be the next leader of the conservative party of
01:12:10.900 canada what about danielle smith we're going to find out more on wednesday night
01:12:14.280 what about bc nova scotia liz truss i believe is a real conservative now liz is british
01:12:27.600 former for a cup of coffee former prime minister of the uk and she is now speaking out about
01:12:36.360 the cabal she was on with ben shapiro today i have a very powerful orthodoxy that's not just
01:12:43.420 in britain it's also there in the congressional budget office that refuse to score trump's tax
01:12:49.640 cuts it's there in the imf who provide the commentary it's there in davos so we are fighting
01:12:56.200 against a massive leftist machine and all of these issues are connected because they believe
01:13:03.080 migration is a good thing for the economy so they won't let politicians cut migration they believe
01:13:09.120 that net zero is good for the economy do you remember when mark carney was saying that we're
01:13:13.560 they won't did you hear what she just said they won't let politicians cut migration she didn't
01:13:21.260 even say immigration did she she said migrations cut migration they believe that net zero is good
01:13:27.760 for the economy do you remember when mark carney was saying that we're going to get all these green
01:13:31.840 jobs the net zero is going to power the economy no it's not the british economy is on its knees
01:13:36.380 but what has mark carney been rewarded with the prime ministership of canada so you have all these
01:13:42.620 people circulating sharing bad ideas undermining the west and yet there's just a circuit of those
01:13:50.320 people getting promoted into ever ever higher positions so
01:13:57.500 i find it very fascinating that somebody like liz truss is speaking up and i'm wondering if
01:14:08.820 she's concerned for her safety i'm wondering if it gets to that point does it get to the point
01:14:15.380 where these people become threatened by whomever and linking the death of somebody like that to
01:14:22.500 the cabal the oligarchy or whatever you want to call it would be very difficult wouldn't it
01:14:28.900 i'm going to bring something else up very briefly before we get to the bc
01:14:34.780 aboriginal story and that is this this is mclean's magazine this is owned by rogers
01:14:40.120 just so you guys are aware this is a paid for publication you are not allowed generally
01:14:46.760 speaking to get past this paywall on mcclain's unless there's a story they really want you to
01:14:54.320 see and i believe that the nudge canada's nudge agency is behind this and it's not just mcclain's
01:15:03.920 it's not just rogers it's all news publications left-wing corporate media in canada globe and
01:15:11.920 mail is a great example normally their stories are behind a paywall sometimes occasionally
01:15:16.960 they'll let some puff piece leak but they never ever ever let you pass their paywall
01:15:23.320 for important stories you've got to get a subscription
01:15:26.000 unless they want you to see it and again that's canada's nudge team impact canada which is
01:15:35.220 part of the privy council office which is the prime minister's ministry
01:15:39.600 so this story gets out canada needs a national vaccination registry
01:15:47.100 and they go on and on and on about all the dangerous diseases that can be
01:15:52.000 prevented or wiped out by vaccines including measles measles it's the first one they talk
01:15:57.620 about by dr don bodish this is a free story available for anybody on the claim why i'm not
01:16:05.040 going to go into great detail about this um now as far as this landmark court ruling our friend
01:16:10.580 bella marcella said in the comments and she just texted me and i want to mention this before we
01:16:16.060 even begin covering this tonight that apparently the government of bc is going to be appealing
01:16:23.640 this ruling
01:16:25.180 sounds odd it seems like that's what the ndp wanted
01:16:33.340 they've been going along with this undrip thing for years and now they're going to appeal this
01:16:39.560 maybe it's just faux show don't know but thank you marcella bella marcella
01:16:45.520 you know whereas in the comments so here's the story and a lot of people were were getting in
01:16:51.200 touch with me today saying oh there's a story it's not what you think it is because northern
01:16:54.500 perspective said so look those guys do some good work i'm not going to say they don't
01:16:58.440 but i believe they're reporting in this situation well factual was guided in the wrong direction and
01:17:06.040 they weren't looking at outside sources they weren't looking at the pattern that's been going
01:17:12.440 on all across the world with this stuff. And so they say, well, it doesn't affect your home
01:17:19.580 ownership. Okay, maybe not for now. It doesn't. But don't think for one second, because the First
01:17:27.220 Nations who won this court case last week and are looking at it as a tremendous victory, don't think 0.99
01:17:32.840 for one second they're not going to rethink that original position and go after your home, go after
01:17:39.980 your property, because now they know they can win, especially in this highly charged and
01:17:46.200 politicized climate that we're in. Landmark court ruling awards First Nation title over big area
01:17:53.060 of federal and private land in Metro Vancouver. So here's a picture. Now, not all of this
01:17:59.760 was awarded to the Cowichan. Just along here, the shoreline, you can see where my pointer is
01:18:08.740 right there. The rest of it is still municipal, federal, provincial, for now.
01:18:20.460 The Cowichan First Nation and several allied First Nations have won a major legal battle
01:18:25.300 confirming they hold legal rights to a part of their historic lands in Richmond, as well
01:18:30.000 as the right to fish in a section of the Fraser River for food. The Supreme Court of British
01:18:37.240 columbia's landmark ruling last thursday could be highly consequential and precedent setting
01:18:41.860 challenging long-held assumptions at the core of canadian society about the fundamental legality
01:18:48.000 of private property by placing aboriginal title above be simple ownership that's the system we
01:18:54.340 have in canada meaning i buy a property from you it passes by title to me be simple that's what
01:19:01.400 it's called this is a standard form of private property ownership all across the country
01:19:07.540 early critics warn of potential ripple effects with highly detrimental consequences for bc's
01:19:13.400 economy investment climate and confidence real estate market law and overall political and
01:19:19.120 social stability yeah they're not going to take their land or your land from you
01:19:26.360 because they said that they didn't want it that's the first nations bands that launched this
01:19:34.400 case in the first place they said they didn't want your lands but now that they've been emboldened
01:19:39.380 i would expect they will move forward and actually try to claim some property just to show that they
01:19:47.460 can that's my prediction it might not be right but that's what i believe is going to happen
01:19:55.760 and it's not going to be fast either this is the longest trial in canadian history the longest
01:20:00.660 court case this claim by the cowichan was firmly opposed and look at and and you know northern
01:20:06.840 perspective trying to play this down not such a big deal look at who was opposing this the
01:20:12.100 government of canada the government of bc vancouver fraser port authority city of richmond as well as
01:20:17.260 the muskeem indian band and the tawassin first nation all six of these entities were also the
01:20:22.700 defendants in the case. Not a big deal? Yeah, I don't think so. The area in question is called
01:20:35.300 the lands of Tukitinus by the Cowichan, located in southeast Richmond within an area that sees
01:20:41.360 largely industrial uses. I can say Katinus, but I can't say industrial. What? That sees largely
01:20:52.660 industrial uses on the Fraser River shoreline. From the outset of the trial, the Cowichan's
01:20:58.420 requested claim spanned about 1,846 acres of land, nearly twice the size of Vancouver Stanley Park,
01:21:06.240 as well as other certain lands held by the federal government or municipal government.
01:21:10.720 It's home to federal port and energy facilities, major industrial businesses such as a logistics
01:21:15.980 and warehouse facility for Amazon, Canadian Tire, Wayfair, UPS. There are also some residential and
01:21:22.240 farmland, agriculture properties on the periphery. So this is the lands of Tukitinus,
01:21:31.680 sorry, Tukitinus claim area here. We've been looking at the photos of it there. The question
01:21:40.400 is not whether aboriginal title can exist over fee simple lands, but whether fee simple interests
01:21:45.660 can exist on aboriginal title lands seriously so you're going to talk about canada being completely
01:21:55.420 any property that was purchased and changed hands over the past 150 years you're saying might be
01:22:03.140 invalid whoa that is the level of insanity that this so-called country is at right now
01:22:15.660 in the written ruling, the judge acknowledged that in making this decision, the bulk of the
01:22:22.120 evidence in this case spanned centuries, particularly the period 1790 to 1914. In the
01:22:30.000 early part of this period, written records were sparse and incomplete, but the judge determined
01:22:34.200 there was still a substantial body of evidence before me, including oral history, historical
01:22:39.300 written records which might or might not be true expert opinion again opinion and ethnographic
01:22:47.780 evidence ethnographic let me look that one up ethnographic
01:22:59.620 qualitative method focused on understanding cultures and social
01:23:02.740 behaviors through an in-depth study of people in their natural environments
01:23:09.300 What does that have to do with the price of tea in China in this story?
01:23:14.480 And besides, even with ethnographic evidence, it can still be wrong, or some of it might be omitted.
01:23:25.160 The judge ruled that Cowichan Aboriginal title is more fundamental than fee-simple ownership,
01:23:31.660 asserting that Aboriginal title is protected by the Canadian Constitution and comes first in the legal hierarchy.
01:23:39.300 however the Cowichan did not ask the court to overturn or invalidate existing private
01:23:49.400 property titles that means private landowners still legally own their land for now unless a
01:23:57.300 court decides otherwise in the future or unless the issue is settled through negotiation purchase
01:24:02.520 or some other agreement.
01:24:06.960 Let me ask you this.
01:24:08.820 Because this is setting a bad precedent.
01:24:12.460 And you can bet your bottom dollar 1.00
01:24:14.640 that other Indian bands across the country
01:24:17.160 are now going to launch cases
01:24:18.920 based on the results of this.
01:24:21.980 And they'll win.
01:24:25.780 Who are you paying your property taxes to?
01:24:30.880 Who's it going to?
01:24:32.520 will they even let you stay?
01:24:35.020 I mean, in this case, yeah, they say sure.
01:24:38.380 But in future cases,
01:24:40.080 are they going to let you stay in your home, on your property?
01:24:46.160 Remember, what the judge ruled, as we go back up here,
01:24:51.600 is that aboriginal title is more fundamental than fee-simple ownership.
01:24:58.320 this asserts again this writer correctly said points out that aboriginal title is
01:25:05.880 protected by the canadian constitution and comes first in the legal hierarchy
01:25:10.300 all right so our friend marcella says that the bc government is going to appeal this decision
01:25:18.720 kevin klein is the publisher of the winnipeg sun and he wrote a piece in on this today
01:25:23.900 because again there are people saying oops i guess i can't read that i i was able to before
01:25:29.200 anyway what he says is that don't think you're not affected by this you are affected by this
01:25:38.160 whether you understand it or not if they take over lands they take over all of the
01:25:44.480 all of the the stuff that's been built on those lands all the infrastructure
01:25:49.780 roads
01:25:52.840 highways
01:25:54.060 lights
01:25:55.340 everything
01:25:56.740 that's all theirs now
01:25:59.120 anything that's on the land is theirs
01:26:01.640 you will be affected by this
01:26:04.120 because they can do
01:26:05.640 the first nations
01:26:06.800 anything they want
01:26:08.380 on these lands
01:26:10.440 without answering
01:26:13.300 to anybody
01:26:14.500 we're going to do more on this uh regarding undrip in the extension tonight for you all
01:26:26.120 access nighthawks on shadow davis.com a couple more things for you guys before we wrap up
01:26:32.080 tonight stop with the nonsense calgarians line up to oppose alberta separation
01:26:36.580 okay so here's a picture in the front of the calgary herald
01:26:40.540 one two three four five six twelve of them maybe i don't know there's a better picture a little
01:26:46.800 bit further down the story calgarians opposed to alberta separating from canada lined up
01:26:51.540 along a kensington block yesterday to sign a petition as part of the alberta forever canada
01:26:57.000 citizen initiative the campaign spearheaded by former progressive conservative deputy premier
01:27:03.240 thomas lukasik aims to collect nearly 300 000 signatures by october 28th to force a referendum
01:27:10.220 asking whether Alberta should remain in Canada.
01:27:13.180 Interesting.
01:27:14.800 It launched in Edmonton, August 2nd,
01:27:17.000 under older legislation that gives campaigns 90 days
01:27:21.000 to collect signatures from 20% of the province's electorate.
01:27:24.520 LeCasic said last week,
01:27:26.320 about 2,000 registered signature collectors
01:27:29.020 have been processed with a good chunk from Calgary.
01:27:31.460 He pointed to people starting micro-campaigns
01:27:33.440 all over the province,
01:27:34.720 with volunteers attending events
01:27:36.200 and door-knocking through the city
01:27:37.500 over the next three months.
01:27:39.020 On Sunday, one of the first major Calgary efforts saw volunteers stationed near Kensington Plaza.
01:27:44.640 Volunteer Faraz Anwar stood at the front of the line, which quickly grew to more than two dozen people.
01:27:51.920 Oh, my God.
01:27:53.740 Seems like we're off to a good start.
01:27:55.420 We might actually get there, he said.
01:27:58.000 I'm being hopeful.
01:27:59.160 It seems like most of these people are being hopeful.
01:28:01.280 Standing in line, Calgary resident Tara Ernst said she made her way down after hearing about the initiative on social media.
01:28:07.480 I want to send a clear message to Danielle Smith that I'm not in favor of us separating from Canada.
01:28:12.580 Hopefully she hears it loud and clear.
01:28:14.960 People are upset and angry and they want to voice their concern and their opinion.
01:28:18.460 There's the people.
01:28:20.260 There they all are.
01:28:23.240 Look at them all.
01:28:24.700 It's amazing.
01:28:26.960 It fills my heart with such joy to see so many people come out in support
01:28:34.860 of staying in this country this is what they're proud of are you kidding me right now
01:28:45.860 some of these people might not even be there standing in line they might
01:28:49.340 might just have bumped into a neighbor like this guy here is wondering what the hell is going on
01:28:54.160 what are all these people doing here
01:28:58.020 i don't know man this is going to be a good fight
01:29:02.320 and we're going to find out more about danielle smith on wednesday night with grant abraham of
01:29:09.180 the united party of canada this is the last story we have for you guys tonight in the social media
01:29:13.760 part of the show leger poll uh done the last few days dealing with federal government satisfaction
01:29:20.020 and before we get to this i'm not sure if any of you guys have seen this but if you have
01:29:24.460 please don't answer the question in comments i want to know what percentage of canadians
01:29:31.000 are satisfied with the mark carney government so far write it down in comments please
01:29:38.800 i want to see this even you guys on rumble please write it down
01:29:42.880 i didn't say hello to your rumble guys tonight appreciate you being here
01:29:48.680 stalwarts of freedom i love you so
01:29:54.020 anybody writing it down like anybody come on you guys
01:30:00.320 what percentage of canadians are satisfied with the carny government okay so lease says 59
01:30:08.280 jack says 30 terry says 48 marty says zero stacy says i think it was 61 i asked you if you
01:30:18.460 if you saw this then please don't write it down you're not
01:30:21.540 vicky says 48 joy says 10 monica is less than 50 bumpy johnson 70 all right let's go down here
01:30:33.420 bumpy from july 4th to july 6th we surveyed canadians on their federal voting intentions
01:30:40.660 their views on government performance key national issues discover all the insights
01:30:44.520 blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah if an election were held today nearly one in two
01:30:49.360 canadians 48 percent would vote for mark carney's liberal party placing it well ahead of the
01:30:53.980 conservatives now that's not the satisfaction number but even that in and of itself is depressing
01:31:01.620 but again i believe many of these polls just like the polls that were released during the
01:31:05.880 election campaign came from impact canada they weren't real we got snookered that's my belief
01:31:14.200 I can't prove that, but there is absolutely no way that the entire dynamics of a country shift that quickly.
01:31:23.940 Doesn't happen.
01:31:26.680 Anyway, majority of Canadians, 55 percent, say 55, who had 55, say they're satisfied with the Kearney government, including 13 percent who were very, very satisfied.
01:31:39.680 Only 13 percent.
01:31:42.540 So that says a lot.
01:31:44.200 satisfaction is highest obviously among liberal voters at 91 percent among those age 55 plus
01:31:50.900 63 percent i wonder if kids and i'm not talking about children i'm talking about grown kids of
01:31:58.480 these boomers the elbows up the ones that voted for carny have said to their mothers and fathers
01:32:04.220 how could you vote for these people again i wonder if a lot of those conversations have
01:32:10.480 been had across the country but then again i don't think that many people did
01:32:15.720 but again that's only my opinion approval of mark carney's performance as prime minister
01:32:22.920 is similar 58 percent approve he's got 103 conflicts of interest that's fine that's fine
01:32:33.980 we're going to recognize the state of palestine oh cool that's great hasn't got a deal with trump
01:32:40.880 when everybody else does oh yeah yeah isn't that what he was elected for isn't that why you voted
01:32:45.500 for him yeah sure don't worry about it it's coming it's coming it's amazing to me
01:32:51.220 once again approval is higher among liberal voters 93 percent in those aged 55 plus you know
01:33:00.300 it's difficult we're not going to get into the rest of it it's difficult admitting that you're
01:33:05.260 wrong i know and so these people even to an anonymous pollster will not admit that they
01:33:14.160 were wrong but then you have to ask would polyev have done any better is it all part of the same
01:33:21.000 thing are we going to be able to collapse this monster before it's too late i don't know
01:33:28.820 all right that's it for the show tonight guys don't forget jeff evely tomorrow night grant
