00:13:52.560So listen, Melanie, I know that the topic of conversation tonight, because we had such a great conversation last week, was going to be about gender queer theory.
00:14:02.680What is it? How do we get rid of it? How far has it gotten? What are its origins and all of that?1.00
00:14:08.600And that may still be part of the conversation that we have tonight.
00:14:11.820But you are originally from the UK. And this is something I wanted to talk about because there there's riots happening all over the country, specifically in Birmingham in the north. And there are a lot of riots happening in London as well. I think probably all the major centers across the country. You've been following this, obviously, because it's your home. What have you been able to find out?
00:14:35.240well I don't know that anything is happening in London or all the major cities I don't think
00:14:40.720that's what's really going on in a nutshell after I would say in the last two three weeks there's
00:14:49.220been an awful lot of rioting nothing to do with this particular event but for example in a place0.92
00:14:56.820called Hare Hills in Leeds so in the north this is very northern based there was children of Roma
00:15:04.600background taken by children's services because there was some abuse going on there they were
00:15:09.620taken out of the community and then the community which was largely made up of Roma gypsies and
00:15:15.660I think it was a Muslim community they ended up having a a riot that burnt the place down to a0.98
00:15:22.480crisp the police ran essentially ran away they burnt out I think it was police vehicles then0.53
00:15:27.920there was a military man, a soldier, I think, who was attacked with a knife. And then there was a
00:15:35.060whole bunch of other things that had happened, a lot of very violent crimes involving people from1.00
00:15:41.840an immigrant community or ethnic background. And this is already a tension that exists in the UK
00:15:47.600in general, but especially in the north. And then I think it was about a week ago, three...
00:15:53.580Now, when you say, excuse me, when you say tension, are we talking about racial tension,
00:15:56.960cultural tension or like poverty-based tension all of it all of the above it's a very complicated
00:16:03.400picture so the media will tell you right now this is simply racist far right versus
00:16:09.200the muslim community or it's left versus right or any narrative that's being sold to you is
00:16:14.740actually not entirely it's a simple simplification of a very complicated long-standing issue that
00:16:22.400has been getting worse for a very very long time so it's all of the above and none none are at the
00:16:26.980same time and it depends on which people in which area but the long and the short is what kicked this
00:16:33.460off if people aren't aware the reason these current riots are happening is there was a young
00:16:41.520man from rwandan descent who went to a yoga class and with a knife this is a really big problem in
00:16:48.500the uk knives like machetes especially and he killed he he went on an attack he killed young
00:16:54.200girls i mean this was a yoga class three of them are dead currently i think i think it's eight on
00:16:58.700critical condition with two adults also in the hospital i don't know what's going to happen with
00:17:02.480them and so this was in a place called southport and that's near manchester again in the north
00:17:06.280now the community as you can imagine don't feel safe they don't know what's going on they're
00:17:12.040seeing an increase in immigrant related crime and ethnic crime in the areas they've been talking
00:17:17.660about this for a long time for a very long time since this mass not just since the mass immigration
00:17:23.240the government basically already calls them far-right racists so they're kind of used to that
00:17:28.440right they you know these often are people who whether they did or didn't so let me take a step
00:17:34.180back so there was a vigil in south port it was very peaceful there were community many many
00:17:41.380community members there and from what i can gather the reason it a riot kicked off the reason this
00:17:48.060actually properly kicked off is because a man came around i think he may have been muslim descent but
00:17:54.940i'm not sure he was holding a machete and he shouted in the crowd ala akbar and everything
00:18:00.180kicked off everything got sparked i think they went to moss they tried to attack the moss and
00:18:04.180and there was a huge south port riot and from then on the kia stama came out and he said he was
00:18:11.220fighting far right thuggery but you have to understand for you know for the last couple
00:18:16.020days before that you had all of these people putting out on social media for example regular
00:18:20.600citizens just average everyday moms and dads they're not far right they're just normal people
00:18:25.420putting out this meme i guess you could call it picture of themselves to show how normal they are
00:18:29.520saying um kia starmer calls me a far right thug whatever so they're kind of reclaiming this far
00:18:35.220right thug because they know these are millions of people that feel this way about what's going on
00:18:38.440right so one thing leads to another you know we just had a weekend of of riots all over the well
00:18:45.340it's not even all over the country very specifically this weekend the riots were in the north
00:18:49.460now there are deep complicated socio-economic reasons why this was in the north so let me just
00:18:58.780read out so the scale is massive up north okay so not only were these riots huge but
00:19:27.660And then, including over the weekend, Bristol.
00:19:29.500and then the south has just started uh i think today and yesterday but the reason this is
00:19:35.680important all these cities that i named except for weymouth and plymouth are all northern cities
00:19:40.620and these um places they're not the main areas right so i had to tell you that for example um
00:19:48.240southport is near manchester it's not manchester itself um a lot of these have poor areas
00:19:54.840right southport not so you're suggesting this is a socio-economic 100 the rioting the so-called
00:20:03.100far-right thuggery and i will say yeah there's thuggery absolutely places like hull for example
00:20:08.560or hartlepool these are incredibly deprived areas i so the reason i know this because i lived there
00:20:13.860also i lived in two places that rioted middlesbrough and bristol bristol's in the south
00:20:18.220We won't talk about that right now. But there is a level of deprivation that I have never seen before.
00:20:27.780And I've lived in poor areas in South and Central America.
00:20:31.860You wouldn't believe how much poverty there is in these places.
00:20:34.820And this is multigenerational poverty that these people are experiencing.
00:20:37.940And with that, you know, with the factories closing, with the mines closing and all kinds of industry closing up north, these people became very, very poor.
00:20:44.660This is decades ago. And so you have children, parents, grandparents, great grandparents who maybe have been on benefits this entire time.
00:20:52.660You know, you see houses with roofs caving in with people living in them. Right.
00:20:56.940You see people who have very low education, very low, no expectation of any kind of life.
00:21:02.800Now, Melanie, can I play a video for you before you go any further?
00:21:06.960And I don't I don't dispute what you're saying at all, because you you are absolutely from there and you've seen this for yourself firsthand.
00:21:15.540But we've got some video that's been coming out of the UK for the past couple of days.
00:21:20.780This one came out today and I'm going to go ahead and play this.
00:21:24.860This is what appears to be a mob the way it's described in this video, a mob of Muslims who are protesting their particular area.
00:21:35.440and let's we're going to it's 10 seconds long we're going to listen to what this one guy says
00:21:39.600the one guy who's taking the video and we're going to play it for you um right now let me go ahead
00:21:53.680joining in the valley we're taking over we're taking over uk now
00:22:00.320uh that to me that is absolutely alarming when you hear we're taking over the uk now
00:22:20.560yeah i think you're getting ahead of yourself like and that
00:22:22.720i may be i may be getting ahead of myself but when you when you see a video like that coming out of
00:22:32.500you know i mean the impression that we have of the uk over here is a staid you know it's it brits
00:22:39.660you know they're very polite um yes we know immigration this is yeah i'm trying to build
00:22:44.780a story here about the poverty in the north the reason that this started in my opinion in the in
00:22:48.660north the way that it did and it got so violent fiery like liverpool was a absolute nightmare
00:22:52.880what happened in liverpool but these young people what i'm saying is there's a culture there's an0.92
00:22:58.120underculture they're not working class these people rioted probably a lot of them they're
00:23:01.240not probably most of them probably not even right wing they're probably not political0.83
00:23:04.060they're poor they they they live a gang life they live a thug life like they have0.56
00:23:08.980and they're fed up you know and they're seeing are you talking about the white people or the or
00:23:14.800the immigrants like people i'm not defending them at all but there's reasons why they rioted and then
00:23:20.240up in the north they saw over decades while they have no opportunity and nothing all these things0.82
00:23:25.300are get given to all of these immigrants right that's what they're seeing that's what i believe
00:23:30.080actually kicked this off now that was over the weekend birmingham is different birmingham is a1.00
00:23:34.620little bit more south but it was sort of to be expected because birmington is has a huge muslim
00:23:38.920population but as as you did have the i guess you know young lads probably young yob lads we call
00:23:46.060the scally lads rioting um that just escalated into a sort of race war basically and now you
00:23:53.200kind of are seeing two factions right as the different parts all over the country and it's
00:23:57.940being stoked by the prime minister because the prime minister i have never seen i was in the uk
00:24:02.580more than 20 years and i have never seen or heard a prime minister speak the way that kia starmer
00:24:10.460has been speaking he is stoking the tensions this man understands the socioeconomic factors
00:24:16.440i am talking about he knows this and yet he chose to do to do and say things that would
00:24:23.280absolutely make this worse in every possible way right and that's what people are part of it
00:24:29.580this race war thing oh no one all of it is all the all of it is part of it right like even if
00:24:35.780it comes down to the fact that the kind of class that i'm talking about the rioters right the
00:24:40.640reason that there's a lot of brits who aren't on who don't sympathize with what's going on with
00:24:44.400the so-called patriots is because these rioters are that underclass that even a native brit hates
00:24:51.300they hate them you know there's a huge uh class divide so even if you manage to make it out of
00:24:59.600let's say the middlesbrough ghetto you also hate people in middlesbrough because you don't want to0.98
00:25:03.800be like them anymore right they are the underclass of of the country and they have been for a long0.99
00:25:08.680time and so there there is a huge caste system i'm sorry to interrupt you a huge caste system0.77
00:25:14.340in the uk that maybe people in canada don't quite understand yes that's and it's very much up north
00:25:19.440I mean, it sort of exists a bit in the South in places, but it's a very Northern type of thing. And I, that's why the North has really kicked all of this off. Now, the surprising thing to me that I saw yesterday and today is that Weymouth and Plymouth, they're two seaside Southern towns have also started to kick off.
00:25:39.380now they're on the poor side too so i think that has a lot to do with it um so you know it seems
00:25:45.780to me like this is spreading across the country flamed by the prime or inflamed by the prime
00:25:51.640minister at every single state not just the prime minister you know the home secretary other i've
00:25:55.880seen mp after mp after mp talk about far-right thuggery you know and you have the press at the
00:26:00.960minute which is appears to be running cover for so you were talking about birmingham today in
00:26:06.960birmingham now we're starting to see the so-called what people have been calling the muslim defense
00:26:12.880league because this whole time they talk about the edl organizing all of this the edl the english
00:26:18.580defense league does not exist so people have started calling this group of uh muslims you
00:26:24.940know in gangs attacking people the muslim defense but whatever so melanie melanie we we could talk
00:26:30.340about the socio-economic issues of the UK all night long and it's a very fascinating topic but
00:26:36.920it sounds to me and I want you guys you've got to listen to Melanie's story it is an amazing story
00:26:44.520how she came to be in Canada how she has learned so much about queer theory and that ideology and
00:26:53.760all of that is that has become so embedded in our public systems not just in Canada but all
00:26:59.100across the world and um how you came from being like what did you call yourself on your twitter
00:27:07.560it's like you're a you're an ex left what what did you what is the word yes a left ug you've got
00:27:13.880no political home right now really um but you you were definitely not part of that movement at least
00:27:21.980not any longer can you give us a history of yourself i find this this story to be we talked
00:27:28.040about this the other day guys in case you don't know i want you to to know uh melanie and i talked
00:27:32.860about this the other day on the phone i found her story so incredibly uh interesting could you
00:27:38.620please give us some of that melanie i don't know where you want me to start well let's start from
00:27:44.160the the time that you arrived in canada and what your life was like before you left the uk in terms
00:27:50.620of your family and your friends and your ideology and then how it started to change
00:27:54.820uh well i moved to canada in 2017 i'm i'm canadian and english i'm not just english
00:28:01.480so um yeah i moved in 2017 for a job but i was also i was also escaping brexit brexit i i was
00:28:09.900doing what a lot of people people are talking about right now like leaving the country because
00:28:13.500you think everything's going to fall apart but i was a i was a progressive leftist at the time so
00:28:17.060brexit meant the end of the world and so a job opportunity came up and my son wanted to live in
00:28:22.780canada for a long time so i took the job and i moved here but what i didn't understand at the
00:28:27.760time is that it was a frog jumping out of the kettle into the pot whatever the expression is
00:28:32.580um or out of the pan into the pot whatever so i can fire that yeah i i fell into a a situation
00:28:40.340that was so i originally grew up because i went to primary school in in quebec so i had an idea
00:28:48.180of what canada was like but then moving back here as an adult after spending basically my whole life
00:28:54.200away it was a bit of a shock joining the workforce in uh of all places the gta which could not be
00:29:00.360more different from quebec and then 20 years later on top of that so yeah i had a an ideological
00:29:06.580awakening over the years since then what caused that ideological awakening i mean as you say
00:29:14.840you're a former progressive right and when we use the word liberal we talked about this the other
00:29:18.940day on the phone too i mean the word liberal is supposed to mean somebody who listens to all sides
00:29:24.660of a debate and then comes to his or her own conclusion about it that wasn't you somebody else
00:29:30.540all right but no i mean you're liberal i'm not now yeah you're right so you know when we today
00:29:38.760use that expression liberal we mean that it's from the far left marxist progressive cult but
00:29:45.660it's not they're not liberals not at all you came from that ideology can you tell us what it's like
00:29:53.240living that life to be a progressive yeah how do you view people in many respects who are actual
00:30:01.940liberals well tell us um so i was my education is in stem i did two degrees in uh basically in in
00:30:14.260ecology so conservation wildlife stuff and uh climate change so that was you believed in climate
00:30:23.980change you were all over that you thought there was a climate catastrophe correct yes okay and i
00:30:30.360also participated in in bringing that forward in many ways um so that was the trajectory so as you
00:30:37.440can imagine also all of my friends and all my family are also sort of on the progressive side
00:30:40.840maybe even champagne socialist and so there's a very leftist worldview um how is it i don't know
00:30:48.120there is i i i can honestly say i that's not me now by the way very very different person now but
00:30:56.220i can honestly say when people assume that leftists are self-righteous they are i mean
00:31:04.180there is a an inability to it's like you're overrun with an ideal like with this idea of
00:31:15.660what the world should be and you're not necessarily thinking about how the world actually is and i
00:31:22.000very much used to suffer from that and it and when you're the thing is when you're really really
00:31:26.080surrounded with that with all of your friends all of your family you have no reason to be anything
00:31:32.060else and so i would have been one of these people calling these people in the uk writing far right
00:31:36.120thugs but you know i maybe might have even gone to a protest anti-fascist protest right because
00:31:41.300you really believe really really believe what you're doing is is the right thing that you're
00:31:45.860good person but that kind of changed when I moved to Canada and it didn't change immediately I was
00:31:55.600still working in climate change I worked for um yeah I kind of worked still worked in climate
00:32:00.600change so it didn't change immediately but what hit me straight away is that in 2017 certainly
00:32:05.560in the career that I'd had I wouldn't say that I experienced woke culture and or at least not to
00:32:12.060that degree not any way shape or form to that degree and but I definitely faced it when I
00:32:16.220started working in in the GTA and I couldn't understand what was going on so that was a bit
00:32:21.540of a shock it took me many years but then the thing that really knocked me out right the thing0.62
00:32:28.500that really unleashed the dominoes as it were is the queer theory so my son and his friends
00:32:34.920were all queer and trans which at first I didn't think anything of it because I'm a good I'm a
00:32:40.060good liberal aren't I so I'm not going to judge but it's when I started talking to the kids and
00:32:45.600asking them about their experience and what was going on that alarm bells really went off and I
00:32:52.800had to face so many things all at once and that just I mean a veil was ripped right out of my eyes
00:33:00.660so that I've been I've been wrestling with the meaning of reality ever since yeah you know it's
00:33:08.200interesting i've had conversations like this in the past where people say they had that moment
00:33:13.860where it's just like what have i been doing how have i been thinking this way and it's almost
00:33:18.900like that movie dr strange where he starts seeing out of his third eye or he gets kicked out and
00:33:24.080it's like whoa you're almost like falling or something it's that uh you know stirring a
00:33:31.240feeling well let me tell you what really did it yeah well it was it was i knew something was wrong
00:33:36.160for many years but i i just assumed it was me not coping um it was when my son had a friend who was
00:33:42.640at the time apparently homeless and as a like i said as a good liberal i said you know my son
00:33:48.020asked me if he could live with us for a bit because you know they're like 17 he's older
00:33:51.660they're about to go to college and i said sure no worries you know his apparently his parents
00:33:55.260had kicked him out and so you know he can come stay with us if he earns some money whatever
00:34:00.300so the kid comes and obviously he's trans well you know male to female trans and he's a nice kid
00:34:08.300actually lovely kid but it's when i started getting to know him that i asked questions you know
00:34:12.440and it occurred to me quite early on that the conception the the idea in this kid's head
00:34:20.800it was that by taking hormones that he had literally become a woman not just
00:34:26.400feeling uncomfortable living as a man but he is physically in his whole body and soul
00:34:32.780transforming into a woman in every cell in his body so that was like the first red flag and I
00:34:37.740I found that a bit confusing um you know there was a whole bunch of other things uh the way that
00:34:43.640I would get accused of being a TERF I learned what a TERF was by having these conversations
00:34:47.560when I was told that he's a lesbian I said oh that's a bit it's maybe a bit disrespectful um
00:34:53.200And I learned all about TERFs when I discovered that trans women are lesbians, apparently.0.70
00:37:29.140You know, there was a relationship there.
00:37:30.960They were not abusive in the way that we're being told.
00:37:33.660And that whole situation is what made me have to start looking into what on earth is going on.
00:37:41.340because any kind of pushback that I had, look, I'm a biologist, I come from a biology background,
00:37:46.240and me explaining to this kid that your body is a sexed body, and that's not really a debatable
00:37:55.000topic, like, it's just a sexed body, and him telling me, no, but that's not what the doctors
00:37:59.420say, that's not what the research says, this, that, whatever, me realizing, from his perspective,
00:38:04.140he's actually right, because that information is being told to these kids, and I realize the
00:38:07.920doctors are telling these kids this the the teachers are telling these kids this all of the
00:38:12.120so-called responsible adults are confusing these children lying to them encouraging them to distance
00:38:16.900themselves from their families and and basically shut out anyone who disagrees so isolating them
00:38:23.320from influences that might question their beliefs all of this stuff made me obsessed with trying to
00:38:33.280learn what on earth is this trans movement it's not what i expected and what on earth gender gender
00:38:41.180theory is and but more specifically recently it's become queer theory because i think this is kind
00:38:46.460of the origins of this kind of thinking and what drives a lot of the issues that we have in our
00:38:53.040institutions as well marxism so did you in the last few days because i know that you are from
00:39:00.080the uk uh and you've been following all of the rioting and whatnot that's been going on over
00:39:04.480there but i'm certain that you saw something about this one boxer actually there's two boxers over
00:39:09.120there at the olympics in france uh one's called imain khalif who is got xy chromosomes apparently
00:39:17.540and then the other one same thing ling you ting we have had them defeat all of these women
00:39:25.600There has been this narrative, this overriding narrative that it's been men beating up women violently in front of the world.
00:39:33.980And the world has been encouraging it.
00:39:35.640And then some people who, I mean, this has been crazy on social media for the past couple of days where you've been hearing, well, she's got some kind of a Swires syndrome or something like that.
00:39:53.220i'm not sure if you've kept up on on all of this stuff but i'm not so not very familiar with the
00:40:00.160case of lin yuting uh yet except to say that every female every woman that's actually boxed this
00:40:06.960person says that's a man and the same goes with the main caliph what are your thoughts on this i
00:40:11.880mean the iba the international boxing association banned both of these boxers just last year for
00:40:17.820having ridiculously high levels of hormone in their systems yeah i i haven't followed the second
00:40:23.580one but i sort of have followed demonic belief because i was um absolutely shocked by the fact
00:40:28.840that they let this happen um we humans do experience uh disorders of sexual development
00:40:36.120and often this is used by ideologues and they call this intersex intersex makes you think that
00:40:43.020someone's maybe in between sex and so they're they're both at once this idea of hermaphrodite
00:40:48.520but that's incredibly i mean incredibly rare so disorders of sexual development are genetic
00:40:54.720abnormalities they affect um the your sexual development but you're still male and you're
00:41:01.100still female but what can happen and i think what's happened in the case of imani khalif i
00:41:05.000can't remember the name of this one but at birth the genitals appear female and i think the um
00:41:11.820i think they sometimes have internal internal testes but over time with development by puberty0.96
00:41:19.000then you can tell it's the the person is male because then you get a growth of a penis right
00:41:25.840so the person is male they have male testosterone but there's a there's an abnormality in the
00:41:31.660genitalia where as a child they appear female and i know that this particular disorder is one that is
00:41:38.760sought after specifically in the sporting world and i believe many years ago there was a runner
00:41:45.720on i can't remember which country's team it's a black i think possibly african-american i'm not
00:41:54.460sure but they're sought out for this particular condition because you can sort of claim that
00:41:59.680they're female right but they have all the advantages of of being male when you say rare
00:42:06.780though i mean you said that's incredibly rare i mean how how rare are we talking about like a
00:42:11.120four-leaf clover i mean intersex conditions are rare to begin with i mean when i say the rarest
00:42:17.120of the rare so this is all intersex conditions are very very rare so maybe like one percent or
00:42:21.740less than one percent of the entire population so they're really infrequent but a true hermaphrodite
00:42:28.940is probably like one percent of one percent like it's the most rare but i know so it seems to me
00:42:33.260I think that it would be incredibly, incredibly almost impossible that we could have two of these people in the same Olympic Games, in the same sport, in the same category, don't you think?
00:42:43.860Right. Well, that's what I'm saying. They are sought out. People with this condition are sought out by sporting teams to compete against females.
00:42:53.500This has happened many, many times in the past. The difference between now and other competitions, I think, is that for the I don't think this has happened in boxing before.
00:43:02.080so this has happened in running I remember it happening in race running but not boxing and0.98
00:43:07.540the difference between running and boxing is obvious because you're actually beating up a woman
00:43:11.280right and so what I did also notice is that the one of the boxing associations had banned them0.81
00:43:17.920both of them and then the Olympic one came out and said no no no they're female on their passport
00:43:23.320they have these photos of being female when they're a kid so they're obviously female we're
00:43:27.400not going to do genetic testing he's like kind of rolling his eyes about this idea because that
00:43:30.640would be so authoritarian but this is sport we should be doing testing that's what sport is it's
00:43:34.740testing um and then actually just today before coming on another uh there's another press
00:43:40.980conference with the greek doctor at the olympics declaring that these two have a male karyotype so
00:43:49.620essentially probably having that dsc so they're male so they have a male line um disorder of
00:43:56.040sexual development so there's a whole controversy and i know both of the both of those competitors
00:44:00.920were asked to do a genetic test and both declined to do it so the whole thing is fishy
00:44:05.440and in the meantime there's women getting beaten to a pulp in front of the entire world and the
00:44:13.280olympics does not do a thing i'm gonna be really controversial i'm sorry they put out a counter
00:44:19.240narrative and they said no no this is actually a woman and then i've always been and the pictures
00:44:24.640as you were talking about they're all they're the little girl you know look at ultimately all you
00:44:29.640really need to do and this is something i've been saying for a while now and i got this from tucker
00:44:33.860carlson like five years ago and i thought he was right trust your gut look at this person i mean
00:44:39.200yeah you can tell they're male yeah and and should that guy be in this ring beating on a woman even
00:44:46.620if she is an olympic level athlete who has been training for her entire life for this one event
00:44:51.960I mean, clearly, a highly trained male, and this is not anything that's sexist, I don't
00:44:57.320want anybody thinking that, but the most highly trained males in the world are always going
00:45:02.600to be able to defeat the most highly trained females in the world just because of biology.0.60
00:45:51.200because the this these kinds of things are happening all the time and people just want
00:45:56.460to be kind they just want to be polite but i guess i've been eyebrows deep in all of this
00:46:02.580queer theory and gender stuff for so long and we're in canada who we have all of this these
00:46:06.420issues around trans and the way that it's perverting everyone's existence by perverting i0.99
00:46:11.380don't mean a sexual perversion i just mean it's just undoing fabric like a k it's creating chaos1.00
00:46:17.620yeah and i want to see people take a stand and i think women forget they have so much power
00:46:24.000because nobody forced her to fight nobody put a gun to her head and made her do it now it's unfair
00:46:29.720there it's so unfair to have to um train your whole life get to the olympics to face this
00:46:35.780situation but the power that she had to say no and take a stand i i think this she would have
00:46:42.440been remembered i mean historically if she had done that and she didn't and this is what
00:46:47.400happens over and over again is that women cry that things are unfair and i'm not seeing very
00:46:52.540many women in sport basically refuse to comply so that's my unpopular opinion about that no it's not
00:47:00.640i don't think it's unpopular at all i i believe that it's a very good point and i've wrestled
00:47:07.480with that as well i really don't know if it would have been more effective for her to sit it out or
00:47:11.740to actually because it hadn't been showcased right i mean we i think what what's happened
00:47:17.120here is probably a good thing for the world because people are now starting to see what0.55
00:47:22.180the hell is going on this is probably queer theory taking over the biggest sporting event0.93
00:47:29.180in the world bar none except for maybe the world cup right the world is watching this and they're0.96
00:47:36.280seeing what's really going on yeah it did have an effect in terms of the media afterwards there's
00:47:41.720that's true yeah i don't know if it would have had as much of a as much of a media impact had
00:47:47.120she literally gone in the ring and just stood down that's true you know and and the media is1.00
00:47:52.260playing along with it i mean they have unleashed uh an army of uh you know gender ideology bots on0.99
00:48:00.580all forms of social media i mean i've had to seriously had to block out 250 in the last two
00:48:07.620days 250 auto ai bots from taking over my feeds that why is this so important to them do you think
00:48:15.900well because you have to make it legitimate right we all know what a man and a woman is
00:48:23.920we know it's not melanie we know it's not legitimate and that's why they have to double
00:48:28.140down because we all know it's not legitimate look this is my interpretation a lot of people
00:48:33.420are going to talk about all this big billionaire money and that could be the case sure that could
00:48:37.340be the case i don't know the origins of this there could be an agenda whatever but most people are
00:48:41.960not following it most people are not following it on doing this stuff because some pritzker has
00:48:47.160billions of dollars right even though there's an influence there most people are doing that
00:48:50.140because they believe in it they need to run cover for the narrative why well it's so it's such an
00:48:55.560unbelievable lie and if you really believe like it's almost a religious belief that we can just
00:49:00.660transcend our biology and become whatever we want it's such a nonsensical belief that you have to
00:49:08.140do everything that you can to convince other people and this has infected the media it's0.95
00:49:12.500infected the law it's infected education right as like the most marginalized people that must
00:49:19.120be upheld and we must encourage people to just be their authentic selves so you have to you know
00:49:25.500big lies need big cover-up it's not even a cover-up it's just i think people just need to
00:49:31.440convince themselves that it's true and because they have to convince themselves that it's true
00:49:34.940they have to convince other people that it's true but you see that's extremism yeah right there and
00:49:39.980then and and you that's the area that the the area of ideology that you came from before you had your
00:49:46.820awakening a few years ago what i find interesting well one of the things that i find interesting
00:49:50.600about you is that even now with all of this stuff that's unfolding you still haven't completely
00:49:57.880left that ideology not totally right it's still some remnants in there because as you just pointed
00:50:04.920out well who knows if there's big money behind this we know there's big money behind this this
00:50:09.800is an agenda let me clarify what i mean by that is that i do not one of the things that i've
00:50:15.520learned to really do is to do my own research. So I'm aware of these things, but I have not spent
00:50:21.780the time to go look into it for myself. That's why I say that, right? Because I cannot speak
00:50:27.060confidently about things that I have not verified for myself. That's where I'm coming from. I'm not
00:50:31.620discounting that these things exist. I know for a fact that there is billion, these billionaires
00:50:36.740called Pritzkers who have largely funded the University of Victoria. It's called the
00:50:43.220the transgender chair chair and transgender studies with billions and billions of dollars0.98
00:50:50.620a person that runs it is a female to male trans person who is a little bit crazy but
00:50:57.400i didn't say that and i and and they are the source of this soji stuff in bc and the soji0.53
00:51:04.660i think is what kicked off all of this gender ideology in schools in canada now they are true
00:51:12.040believers in this idea of liberating us all from our disgusting material selves right it's steeped
00:51:19.360in this idea that whatever you want to exist exist whatever you want to believe you believe0.94
00:51:24.040trans people you know have existed throughout history they're the ones who are changing the0.95
00:51:27.740history books so this is this is something that i'm confident in i understand where that money1.00
00:51:33.120is coming from but i you know i can't speak about things that i don't know i understand completely
00:51:38.000but how is Marxism play a role in gender ideology or is it Marxism just under the veil of another
00:51:46.240name? Well, there's, there's a couple of things. So what I think this idea that we have a gendered
00:51:56.660soul is a postmodernist idea and postmodern, the post, the postmodernism that comes from that is
00:52:04.640um that we all have like our our own way of understanding so there's many knowledges right
00:52:11.240you can you can have indigenous sacred knowledge you can have scientific knowledge there's all0.96
00:52:16.280these different knowledges that are equally valid and queer is just one form of knowledge0.92
00:52:23.080right so this idea that you can sort of become any sex is just one way of understanding the world
00:52:28.120and it's just as valid as all these other understandings of the world and when it becomes
00:52:31.300a little bit more on the marxist side is that you add on this layer um of an oppressor victimization
00:52:39.880dynamic so okay we have all these knowledges and we have all these identities well some of them are
00:52:46.700going to be oppressed by others right and so the queer black woman is going to be more oppressed
00:52:52.220than the cis white man and so they kind of meld together so that's critical theory and what what0.69
00:52:58.980we've done is now it's intersectionality where we've brought all the victim classes together
00:53:03.120and i suppose the queer group would be one of those groups it's it's yeah it's an arm so it
00:53:12.160uses sexuality so if we want to get to the core what what is queer the queer in the sense that
00:53:16.340is used today does not mean it's nothing to do with sexuality in many ways but it also does so
00:53:23.260it just means strange so the origin the origin of the word queer is strange well it means the
00:53:27.860same thing in the ideology they're stranging the world and so it is an opposite a political0.83
00:53:33.360opposition to anything legitimate traditional uh normal normal is a usual target so the idea is
00:53:43.240that all of those things are really invented by european white white supremacist ideologies
00:53:49.560and they uphold the patriarchy and that patriarchy is men and women and the reason this is oppressive
00:53:57.740and gender and men and women we're getting into gender is because men go to work to earn a living
00:54:03.200and women get forced in the home to earn the unpaid labor of raising the nuclear family so
00:54:09.100all of this stuff is oppressing gender and if we could just break out of this gender stuff
00:54:14.040right and become queer right so we can break away from the shackles of this cis heteronormative
00:54:20.440patriarchal shackle then we will be truly liberated so we must become queer and the only way to0.67
00:54:26.120truly liberate ourselves from normativity right this oppressive force is to become queer so
00:54:33.920i mean that's what queer queer just means anti-normative it's a chaotic state of understanding0.98
00:54:38.700the world where you must be as against the norm as possible now the reason it originated i believe0.93
00:54:47.120in in lgbt circles is not because it's anything to do with being gay it's because society in the
00:54:53.340past viewed being gay as a transgression. So this ideology is all about transgressing all norms all
00:55:01.800the time. And so it's a natural home for it to bloom, right? So it just so happens that gay
00:55:09.640people are on board with basically queer ideology. Well, not all of them. I mean, we can't say that0.98
00:55:16.540there's a distinction. A lot of gay people are because they believe it's one in the same,
00:55:20.500but it's not right like you say a lot of gay people are not on board with queer because they
00:55:24.860understand what it is and and and they don't like it because queer in and of itself can be very very
00:55:30.660oppositional very hostile to being homosexual there's there's a whole word for it in queer
00:55:37.160theory it's called homonormativity it is also an oppressive force right because it is a normative
00:55:42.800so homonormativity is your everyday person who happens to be gay living their best life0.73
00:55:48.120you know whatever doing their own thing that kind of person who's just living their own life0.97
00:55:54.680you know fitting into society is a homonormative person normativity is the enemy so queer is0.83
00:55:59.540actually quite hostile to anyone who is normative so there's there's a bit of complexity in there0.95
00:56:06.500but it's well yeah so how did sexuality how did they horn in then on the lgb movement because
00:56:13.120it's clearly different because it used to be a transgression over time it's just i think the
00:56:20.320gay rights movement always had a queer element in it but they were fighting for equal rights
00:56:25.620and i think that was really on the forefront and although the queer stuff was in the background
00:56:29.780it wasn't really at the it wasn't really prominent and so as soon as gay rights were won i think a
00:56:35.880lot of the more normative gays if you were kind of just took a step back and did whatever it is0.76
00:56:40.560they were doing and then the queer kind of took over and now it's become all queer all the time0.87
00:56:45.440and if you're gay and you denounce queer well these are some of the most attacked people0.85
00:56:50.160because they're they're they're heretics they're heretics right yeah so how how is it then that0.51
00:56:55.360this ideology has permeated its way through society to the point where we've got governments
00:57:01.680we've got large corporations we've got uh non-governmental agencies all of these all of
00:57:08.480of these entities, these very large, powerful, influential entities, even Hollywood, right,
00:57:13.560they are all on board with this. And they're helping to get this ideology pushed in public
00:57:20.360schools, public libraries. How has that happened? I mean, it is, I mean, if they are completely
00:57:24.920against the norm, if queer theory is completely against the norm, then why are they allowing this0.98
00:57:31.800into the norm well look it's being sold as be kind it's being sold as the poor marginalized
00:57:39.220person it's being sold as something different than what it actually is if you ask most people
00:57:44.420who call themselves queer they'll tell you oh they're just like you know not heterosexual or
00:57:50.320something because the reason i'm telling you this stuff because i read the literature so i've read
00:57:54.420the foundational books i read especially in education i'll read the pedagogy so the theory
00:57:59.920of teaching right and how queering pedagogy exists uh in canada and what i'm seeing is that
00:58:07.240what these people i guess the the people kind of pushing this ideology what they're saying about
00:58:13.500their own ideas and then what it becomes for example in a school policy they're very very
00:58:20.460different messages right so they know these are the so the ideologues know what they're pushing
00:58:25.960this anti-normativity, but they frame it in a way that is much more palatable to a more liberal
00:58:32.860audience who is not as extreme. And I think over time, and it's probably happened in the
00:58:36.740corporate environment as well, this social justice, wanting to be on the side of history and ESG
00:58:44.200scores, which I know is a factor, but I don't know as much about. I think there's a lot of factors in
00:58:49.100play for different areas but what what the theory is and what it's sold as are often very they're
00:58:57.500very different and this is how they've managed to worm it into normal society excuse me into
00:59:05.160public education and into the public libraries and maybe they've used a little bit of cry bully
00:59:11.640tactics as well if anybody objects uh they get called names right yes um that is without a
00:59:22.000shadow of a doubt something has changed over the last few years and i because queering the
00:59:28.480education system i see it in the literature as early as the mid-2000s but i don't really see
00:59:37.660that popping up in education until more recently or not in as big a way and there's been some
00:59:43.780changes um over the over the years and i think part of that is these bills c4 and c16 so the
00:59:50.480gender identity bill and the conversion therapy bill and i think that opens the door for all
00:59:55.840these human rights reasons for putting this in the classroom you see the human rights excuse all the
01:00:00.800time like you must do all of this because of human rights even though in the human rights laws it
01:00:07.340doesn't say you have to teach this in school it says you have to respect the identity but that's
01:00:11.860often being used as a as a reason to do this but then then you have the other coin well okay so
01:00:17.920but why did it end up there why did it put it there well you then then you have the unions
01:00:21.420so the unions are so you want marxist the unions are marxist they are oh yeah absolutely on the
01:00:27.480front line of crazy town ideology these are 100 communist and they are pushing this stuff for
01:00:34.120schools to do it right fred hahn is a great example of that that the union leader of cupy0.87
01:00:40.180in ontario this guy is probably the biggest freaking uh what are you queer theory marxists
01:00:49.140that i have ever seen and he keeps moving up in that organization which is frightening to me1.00
01:00:56.780yeah he's not in education but there a lot of them are like that i think especially well
01:01:03.660at all levels, to be fair. So these unions have these ideological ideas, and they're not just
01:01:09.680queer theory ideas, they're going to be critical for race ideas, you know, social constructivist
01:01:13.920ideas, all of these radical leftist ideas that they've been pushing into the education system
01:01:21.040for some time. And then you have the activist teachers. So not all teachers are doing this,
01:01:25.760we know that some schools are worse at doing it than others. But more and more with the younger
01:01:32.120generation of teachers coming into the classroom, you have an increasing amount of activist
01:01:36.340teachers. So another link to this is not just the unions, but it's also teacher college. So teacher
01:01:41.860college has become a, in my opinion, a festering pool of Marxist ideology as well. Teachers are
01:01:50.660no longer taught what used to be called developmentally appropriate practice. Now
01:01:55.440developmentally appropriate practice is what it sounds like, teaching kids subjects at an
01:02:00.760appropriate time in their development. And that's what we, you and I probably experience for the
01:02:05.560most part in our education. But that's not how teachers are taught now. Teachers are taught
01:02:10.780essentially Marxist theory from a man called Paolo Freire, which you may or may not be aware of.
01:02:16.240And it's all about critical consciousness, how to awaken students out of their oppressor state
01:02:25.860and awaken them on the side of the oppressed in a nutshell so it's a process of educating
01:02:31.440but whilst liberating them on the side of the oppressed he calls it the dialogical model where
01:02:37.700there's like um you you find ways of bringing it up and you find opportunities to sort of bring up
01:02:44.800social justice topics basically so teachers are taught in this way they believe that um
01:02:50.340critical theory is the best way to teach that is is the method i don't think they're taught any
01:02:56.580other methods as far as i can tell melanie if they believe so much i'm sorry to interrupt you
01:03:01.640but if they believe so much in in this particular theory that it should be in schools and it should
01:03:07.200be in libraries and little kids need to learn this why so much stealth why is it that they're
01:03:13.320so proud of this why is it that they have to call it by different names in every single province
01:03:20.960in this country yeah you're right do you remember even like a year ago two years ago if people said
01:03:27.820critical theory critical theory critical theory and people like that's not in school it's not in
01:03:31.860school we don't have critical theory in school do you remember that argument absolutely that's why
01:03:36.020i'm asking right like so i mean it is oh what have you got you got a book or something this
01:03:40.540This is a thesis that I've been reading, okay? This is a master's thesis from this brilliant man that I've gotten to know called Stephen Reisch. Stephen Reisch got fed up with some of this talk that we just described, and he's a lawyer, and he decided to go to OISE, which is the Ontario Institute for Studies and Education, to write his thesis in his middle age.
01:04:01.120and let me just give you the title of this thesis and i cannot believe that this got passed at oise
01:04:05.720it says does ontario ontario's ministry of education promote critical theory in k-12 education
01:04:11.460the resounding answer in this is yes so this thesis proves all of the critical theory in the
01:04:19.120education and he did that because he was fed up of hearing people say there's no critical theory in
01:04:23.100school but you know what else is funny too is if you say if we go on a regular mainline show on
01:04:30.840city TV or whatever, and you say critical theory, right? People are going to go, what's that? I
01:04:36.660don't know what that is. What's woke? I don't know what that, I mean, so that's where the failing of
01:04:41.360the media comes into this. But here's the other thing. Here in Manitoba, I know a group of very
01:04:47.300concerned mothers who have been trying to track down who is responsible for these ridiculous books
01:04:53.940that have been appearing in school libraries, public libraries, and schools in general for the
01:05:00.360past few years and they keep getting the runaround well it's not at the school board level we're not
01:05:06.220the ones who are doing this they take it to the school board they show them the books they show
01:05:10.840them the pictures in these books and the school board members are completely shocked they have no
01:05:15.500idea that these books are in the schools further to that you know when they say we well we've got
01:05:20.480to get them out all of a sudden these school board members become cowards and they won't stand up
01:05:27.600anymore their initial reaction is to do that but then the next day we see a
01:05:32.700remarkable turnaround and there is absolutely no way to get to the bottom
01:05:37.560of who is responsible for getting these books into schools nobody wants to be
01:05:43.780where the buck stops have you experienced that as well in in some of
01:05:50.520the research you've done I don't participate in that but I do have I
01:05:55.380I guess you could say colleagues in this fight, who definitely work on the books issue. And it
01:06:01.740can be, I think a lot of this will depend on the different regions. I've heard of people having
01:06:09.440some serious runarounds too. It's the same, same sort of thing here. We've had both the Durham
01:06:17.220District School Board in Ontario and the, I think it's the Waterloo District School Board in Ontario
01:06:22.260that are currently parents there have been engaging in a pushback over these books for the last
01:06:27.180probably about two more than two years now yeah and it's a long haul like if you want to get
01:06:32.740involved in the pushback against books it's going to be a long haul um i know that out west
01:06:38.620pierre bonds has had some success basically just shaming people and getting books out the library
01:06:43.960that's worked for him that's not really worked for the people here in ontario now what they've done
01:06:48.700is that they have used the system to go through the complaints process and it has been long and
01:06:56.040tedious and they keep at it but it involves things like fois attending board meetings it involves
01:07:01.680looking at the policies and seeing like how you can um how you can hold people to account in
01:07:07.860different areas they've been some successes some less successes like it's a long run because
01:07:12.500they have found ways like giving you the runaround of completely disregarding these complaints i mean
01:07:19.820at the minute i'm aware that one of the parents in one of those areas i don't want to give too
01:07:24.060many details has started going to the police and and showing the police these books and saying this
01:07:28.400is sexual content and these trustees are giving us this runaround and you know i don't know what's
01:07:35.740to happen with that situation so watch watch this space in ontario but interesting that the police
01:07:43.100because they have like the rcmp both the opp in ontario um the local police uh services have been
01:07:52.460notified about these books being in schools and it's in the criminal code i mean you can't have
01:07:57.980it it's sexual exploitation exploitation of a minor you can't and yet they do excuse that it's not
01:08:05.740It's not porn. It's not sexual content. This is LGBT content, because you wouldn't be upset if it was a straight couple, were you?
01:08:12.940You hear that argument a lot. I don't know how this gets resolved, but I think the way that it gets resolved is people have to be persistent and they cannot give up, even among frustration, because you're going to face frustration.
01:08:27.640many of the trustees in these boards are either towing the party line because maybe they want a
01:08:34.660political career or their ideologues themselves we know that for example the ndp support a lot
01:08:39.560of trustees i don't know if that's the case in the west but certainly the case here so a lot of
01:08:44.120these trustees are not so much electives as they are selected so you're fighting a difficult battle
01:08:49.840if you're going to address the books it's a worthwhile fight and i think if you're interested
01:08:52.960in doing that you should either join up with other people for moral support and certainly
01:08:57.620showing up in these things don't do it alone no you get eaten alive it's not an easy fight
01:09:02.820absolutely and it's framed along the lines of this is about inclusion always framed as this
01:09:07.660this is about inclusion and if you say anything then you know we've had karen and brosowski i
01:09:13.320think also in waterloo you know when she came forward and talked about these books and said
01:09:17.980they're inappropriate at a delegation she was cut off she was not allowed to finish what she was
01:09:21.880saying and she's been in several court cases ever since and now she i think has been um asked to
01:09:28.120spend or asked to pay i think thirty thousand dollars uh the whole thing is absolutely crazy
01:09:34.500there was one trustee that supported her throughout this and he's embroiled in a
01:09:38.140legal case as well so they will go after you legally um it's not an easy fight to to have
01:09:45.080however the upside to that is there's a lot of documentation that has been accumulating over the
01:09:50.900years from a lot of different actions from people across the country and this is going to change
01:09:55.340eventually it's not going to keep going forever the the tide is going to break and when the tide
01:10:00.780breaks in one place there is so much overwhelming evidence in so many places of so much corruption
01:10:06.500and people supporting this stuff that you know it's going to crumble so it's important to even
01:10:11.560if you don't win immediately it's important to keep going because what we're doing is we're
01:10:16.800putting information on the record even if you don't get hurt so if you go to a delegation for
01:10:21.300example you know the amount of times people have gone to delegations knowing that the board could
01:10:25.640not care less they're just not listening but they're not doing it well they would like the
01:10:29.760board to listen i mean that's obvious but the point is also to be to have it on the record
01:10:36.080so that when this turns around those people are not going to have anything to hide behind
01:10:39.840you know what's frustrating for a lot of people and i guess for myself as well i'm not an activist
01:10:46.180I'm more of a just a independent journalist reporter commenter but when you see you know
01:10:54.400people going out and you know attending these school board meetings and the way they're turned
01:10:59.680away and then the police turn up and it seems as though the police are taking the side of the
01:11:03.960school board members you see these parents who are taking their children to these drag queen story0.57
01:11:09.920hours happily like they they they want to get in because they think there's not going to be any
01:11:14.920more seats left you see that kind of behavior and you've been in this fight for a couple of years
01:11:20.740and you just go man like how are these people so brainwashed by all of this do they not understand
01:11:27.380that drag queens are historically sexual in nature and their performances are that and they belong
01:11:36.560and in back alley nightclubs i don't think they do understand that it's amazing to me that they0.97
01:11:43.280don't understand that and and so you see this prevalence of these parents you know like 30
01:11:48.180somethings let's just say maybe mid 30s bringing their little little kids three and four years old0.99
01:11:53.220to see a man wearing prosthetic boobs wearing a dress hanging his ass and whatever else out there0.99
01:11:59.920and saying like filthy sexual stuff and they're cheering and that's probably the biggest0.99
01:12:08.020part of this fight that yeah demoralizes a lot of people my interpretation of that because that's
01:12:14.820a very north american thing i think even if i was still i guess i was never really woke but if i was
01:12:21.180still progressive i guess i i probably would have think that was a bit weird i think that's a very
01:12:26.600north american thing but it seems to me that the progressives really want to prove how progressive
01:12:32.500they really are and somehow the whole drag queen thing shows them how progressive they are and i
01:12:38.520think there's another part of that this is again just my speculation but i grew up very involved
01:12:44.820in with the gay community right like i've i i i just hung out with that a lot and so i never felt
01:12:52.520like i had to signal something but i think a lot of these people a lot of these progressive women
01:12:58.600especially with their kids almost like want to be part of of something gay and this is their way to
01:13:04.760be cool and gay if that makes sense there's like a there seems to be like a coolness about the
01:13:09.720culture there's a and i think there's an attraction i mean that's just my interpretation
01:13:13.600obviously that's not really something that i would want to take my child to i i think
01:13:19.560i don't know that we could ban other people doing that with their own children but we can
01:13:24.380certainly say this is not appropriate in school if we're all paying you know for public school
01:13:28.820I don't think that there's any place in school but I'm not I think there has been a little bit
01:13:34.540of that in school but I think in Canada if I'm gonna be really honest the stuff that I've seen0.92
01:13:39.920surrounding school and drag has been fairly tame I think some of the more egregious stuff is not
01:13:46.160drag I think the drag here tends to be in the libraries at least out in the east I don't know
01:13:49.860what is out west but i i i've not i think a lot of the stuff that you're talking about i've seen
01:13:54.980in the u.s yeah and you know i mean it could be that it's tame up here but who's to say that it's
01:14:02.420not going to be appropriate yes completely inappropriate and everybody's line is different
01:14:08.400but let's just say it's tame today but what about next week i mean that's the thing about this group
01:14:14.060is that they keep pushing and pushing and they want your kids uh yeah let me give you another
01:14:18.640perspective so in the u.s you see a lot more this sexualized drag with kids in canada it's tamer
01:14:24.380but it's because i think it has a different purpose it it's more about queer okay so less
01:14:30.700about drag and more about queer and so for example um drag queens who will be going into schools
01:14:36.860although they're not as sexualized you still have a very strong element of not being able to tell
01:14:41.460if it's a man or woman, or transgressing this idea of gender, right? And it's basically a
01:14:48.880preparatory introduction to living queerly, as one paper says from this man, Harper Keenan in BC,
01:14:54.500a preparatory introduction to living queerly. And so it's getting children accustomed to the idea
01:15:01.120of being able to make up gender and play with gender, and it's colorful, and it's fun, and
01:15:07.120don't you want to do it too? It's, it's kind of got that vibe to it.
01:15:10.260And I think it's much more about, uh, yeah,
01:15:13.540it's a gender promotion because in gender theory, right?0.98
01:15:18.920There's a saying that drag is, uh, basically, uh,0.80
