00:28:28.280 So for those of you that don't know the story, little more than six weeks before Ottawa,

00:28:33.080 and so corrupt this tribunal apparently,

00:28:36.600 little more than six weeks before Ottawa Police Service enforced its COVID vaccine mandate,

00:28:41.140 high-ranking officers, including then-chief Peter Slowly,

00:28:44.580 heard vaccine injury testimonials from several officers, according to Detective Helen Gruse's

00:28:50.600 testimony at her disciplinary hearing, which resumed on Monday. The 20-year OPS veteran and

00:28:57.200 mother of three stands accused of discreditable conduct under the Provincial Police Services Act

00:29:02.300 for probing a possible link between the COVID vaccines and an uptick in local sudden infant

00:29:08.180 deaths. I'll describe more about that in just a second. As Gruse has not spoken to journalists

00:29:14.300 about these allegations this week's hearing has been the first opportunity for the public to hear

00:29:20.340 her version of the story they spoke at this town hall and told their stories grew said

00:29:25.640 of a december 16th 2021 meeting between rank and file members and police brass

00:29:31.240 they wanted chief slowly and deputy chief trish ferguson to hear what was going on

00:29:35.900 and their concerns all of our concerns appearing as a witness in her own defense

00:29:41.220 The former sex assault and child abuse detective testified that slowly and then Staff Service Sergeant Peter Daniluk were also the only senior members she got any feedback from regarding her suspicion COVID shots may have played a role in the deaths of these nine babies.

00:29:59.560 Groose testified that she presented what amounted to preliminary findings at a January 3, 2022 town hall meeting showing a two or three times increase in sudden infant deaths since the vaccine rollout compared to a typical year.

00:30:17.760 Now, what we heard apparently in testimony this week was that two of these nine babies who died, allegedly from their mother being vaccinated, we don't know that for sure.

00:30:34.200 there has been allegations but no proof because they've shut everything down remember

00:30:48.040 now the person who made that testimony said that that that is such a rare thing that's never

00:31:14.840 it's sad to hear this stuff, you guys, but this is why Detective Groose was investigating in the

00:31:20.820 first place. You don't hear of babies dying in their mother's arms, newborns, twice in one month.

00:31:28.800 before gruce could continue her probe this investigation that she had launched she was

00:31:37.100 put on a leave of absence for refusing to get the covet vaccine she was suspended with pay

00:31:41.840 february 4th while internal affairs began investigating her conduct gruce maintained

00:31:46.580 investigating sudden deaths of children five and under was part of her job according to her

00:31:51.820 testimony slowly was aware of possible vaccine injuries among police members as far back

00:31:57.340 as September of 2021 when Groose sent a mass email to police members questioning the safety

00:32:02.900 of these shots and whether OPS would assume all liabilities for any negative health outcomes

00:32:08.800 associated with mandating it across the force. Is OPS aware of the adverse effects their own

00:32:16.520 membership has experienced upon receipt of the EUA shots against SARS-CoV-2, asked Groose in her

00:32:23.640 September electronic missive, the preamble of which praises Canada, its freedoms enshrined

00:32:29.140 in the Constitution, and how Christianity informs her values in life and policing.

00:32:34.860 Groose testified she knew of four colleagues who suffered heart issues following the COVID

00:32:39.360 shots.

00:32:39.880 Neither the OPS nor the Ottawa Police Association Union have responded to requests about the

00:32:45.520 number of officers who've reported these types of injuries.

00:32:48.540 Groose testified this week that she believed if the COVID shots were responsible for the infant death,

00:32:54.340 that criminal negligence could be at play as government agencies and their officials

00:32:59.080 had consistently assured the public the shots were safe and effective.

00:33:04.060 And we know now that they knew they weren't and went ahead and said those things anyway.

00:33:10.460 Groose's SACA colleague, Detective Chris Botcher, one of seven police witnesses for the prosecution,

00:33:15.300 for the prosecution described her letter during cross-examination last year as a manifesto of the

00:33:22.380 right wing and while gruce's september email earned her a mention from the chief who thanked her

00:33:28.620 in an email for her concerns gruce was rebuked for posting it by overreaching by her

00:33:33.620 overarching supervisor staff sergeant shelly rossetti and immediate supervisor sergeant mark

00:33:39.620 Andre Guy. Both ordered Groose to refrain from talking about COVID or the shots at work.

00:33:56.160 An element of her misconduct charge hinges on the allegation she engaged in an unsanctioned

00:34:02.000 special project and interfered in a lead investigator's file by calling the father

00:34:11.240 January, Staff Sergeant Major Daniluk told the tribunal that he spoke with Gruse about her probe

00:34:17.120 and as far as he was concerned, nothing seemed amiss. Excuse me. She wasn't asking my permission.
