00:07:00.000 hello how are you guys doing tonight welcome to the show it's monday january 6 2024 and it's
00:07:11.560 shadow at night brought to you by canada nano silver so is there anybody who is on this stream
00:07:18.060 right now and i'm laughing because i look up at the number usually at this time of night when
00:07:22.720 the show just starts there's maybe 250 people watching combined between facebook and x and
00:07:29.500 tonight we have, excuse me, almost 150 more than that watching the show. Is there anybody
00:07:37.600 who doesn't know what happened this morning? Is there anybody out there? I didn't think so.
00:07:51.260 Justin Trudeau resigned as leader of the Liberal Party this morning. He'll stay on
00:07:56.940 as Prime Minister until such time as the Liberal Party of Canada can conduct a leadership
00:08:02.680 convention, I suppose, and come up with a new leader. He has prorogued Parliament until March
00:08:08.300 the 24th, which will go ahead and fend off any kind of confidence motion. Oh, wait, wait,
00:08:16.840 wait. Is it possible there could still be a vote of non-confidence in the House of Commons between
00:08:23.180 now and march 24th yes is it a big possibility not really but we'll get into that we'll get
00:08:34.500 into the fallout we'll get into what happens next we'll get into what maxime bernier said
00:08:39.520 what jagmeet singh said what who's that rapper from canada what's his name tom tom jackson tom
00:08:48.680 anyway he's funny and he put out a video today there's all kinds of russell brand was tweeting
00:08:56.300 about this today jordan peterson appeared on pierce mergan in the uk to talk about this today
00:09:01.880 so yeah this is this is big news this is worldwide news and not just because the canadian prime
00:09:06.900 minister has resigned until the next you'll stay on again until the next prime minister is appointed
00:09:13.280 by the liberal party of canada somehow i'm not exactly sure how they're going to do this their
00:09:17.880 constitution says that their leadership races are supposed to take four months. So I'm not sure how
00:09:23.920 they're going to get around this. They haven't explained that yet. Maybe there's some sort of
00:09:28.100 provision in the constitution of that party for an expedited race. I don't know. But it's all pretty
00:09:34.720 strange. It's all pretty strange what happened today. Not that we weren't expecting it. But this
00:09:40.960 prorogament or prorogation, however you want to say, may not stand up. And we're going to get to
00:09:48.400 that. We're going to get to all of that, you guys. It's coming up here on the show. Let's get rid of
00:09:52.180 this picture of me in the background and go with the black, the nice, soothing black.
00:09:59.560 All right, let's say some hellos. Who is here tonight watching the show? Carla's watching in
00:10:05.160 Calgary. Pamela is watching in Mazatland. Oh, so jealous. So, so, so jealous. Kevin and Anna
00:10:13.440 from CanadaNanoSilver.com are watching in Puerto Vallarta tonight. Patricia's watching in Grimsby,
00:10:19.300 Ontario. Hello, Jonathan, watching in Newcomerstown, Ohio on YouTube. Eddie is watching
00:10:23.980 tonight in Stonewall. John is watching in Angusville. Hello, Howard, watching in Winnipeg.
00:10:29.720 Larry is watching in Springfield on X. Sherry is watching on X in Winnipeg as well. Elsie
00:10:34.420 is watching on Facebook in Winnipeg.
00:10:37.380 Cheryl is watching in Wetaskiwin, Alberta on Facebook.
00:10:40.620 And one more here, just because.
00:10:44.020 Sandy is watching on Facebook tonight from Parts Unknown.
00:10:48.060 I don't know where you're watching.
00:10:49.120 Doesn't matter.
00:10:49.820 Wherever you're watching from tonight, guys,
00:10:51.440 don't forget, like and share on whichever platform you're watching on.
00:10:54.600 Let's get this out to as many people as we possibly can.
00:10:57.260 Big news.
00:10:59.400 Justin Trudeau has resigned as the leader of the Liberal Party.
00:11:03.100 in the interim he will serve as the leader and as the prime minister until as i mentioned such time
00:11:09.840 as the liberal party of canada can select a new leader prorogament prorogation whichever
00:11:17.340 is the correct pronunciation because we use it so little i don't think anybody really knows
00:11:23.380 prorogation prorogament what sounds better to you here's a guy who's a professor of canadian
00:11:30.960 Studies at Champlain College in Peterborough, Ontario. His name is Christopher Drummond.
00:11:37.100 And Christopher wrote a great op-ed in the National Post today that says,
00:11:42.640 Governor General betrays Constitution by letting liberals escape Parliament.
00:11:47.740 The government doesn't have the confidence of Parliament. That is clearly obvious.
00:11:52.560 With all the uncertainty about just exactly who is leading the Liberal Party and when an election
00:11:58.340 might be called, one thing is crystal clear. Governor General Mary Simon was wrong to approve
00:12:05.060 Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's request to prorogue Parliament. He should have flat out refused. Why?
00:12:11.400 It's based on a simple but easily misunderstood reality. The Liberal Party is not the government.
00:12:18.460 The Liberal Party is not the government. And some of us get that confused from time to time.
00:12:25.700 The whole issue of the liberal leadership election is irrelevant.
00:12:29.660 Our government is headed by Trudeau and his ministers.
00:12:32.500 These are the people who must hold the confidence of Parliament,
00:12:36.260 and at present they obviously do not.
00:12:39.500 Every single other party in Parliament has now announced publicly
00:12:42.960 that they no longer have confidence in the current government.
00:12:46.600 This might not matter if the Trudeau government had a majority,
00:12:49.520 but of course it does not.
00:12:51.620 It's been a government in a minority situation
00:12:53.980 and at the whim of the other parties, mostly the NDP, since 2019.
00:12:59.020 The leader of the NDP has announced that party will no longer support the government.
00:13:04.560 The Bloc Québécois has said the same.
00:13:06.520 And of course, the Conservatives have been trying unsuccessfully for months now
00:13:10.700 to get the government out at every opportunity.
00:13:13.640 This is what matters in a parliamentary system,
00:13:16.220 the confidence of Parliament or absolute lack thereof.
00:13:20.720 This isn't even to speak about the public opinion polls,
00:13:23.520 which put the current government's popularity somewhere along the deep ocean floor alongside
00:13:28.040 the Titanic. We're talking near Kim Campbell blowout levels of unpopularity, and I read about
00:13:33.680 that today. Two seats they got in that 1993 election. Two. The progressive conservatives.
00:13:39.580 Two. Two. So given what we know, that the current government is on its last legs,
00:13:45.980 that the other leaders in parliament have announced publicly their lack of confidence
00:13:49.260 for a governor general to prorogue parliament and allow the liberal government to escape a vote of
00:13:54.380 confidence would be a betrayal of the very system of government the governor general has been put
00:14:00.100 in a position of authority to protect governors general have very few substantive powers and this
00:14:07.520 is a good thing canada is a constitutional monarchy and has developed our democracy out
00:14:12.580 of a long tradition where we continue to provide mostly ceremonial roles to our ancient sources of
00:14:18.400 authority. As the representative of the crown and the nation, the governor general has one major
00:14:24.360 reserve power, and that is to dissolve or prorogue parliament and to decide if a government can shut
00:14:30.820 down that parliament or delay meeting it. Usually, this isn't an issue. A prime minister will come
00:14:38.120 calling for a prorogation when the government clearly holds the confidence of parliament.
00:14:42.440 The same goes when they wish to dissolve parliament and hold an election. In ordinary times,
00:14:47.580 the governor general is just a figurehead saying yeah sure whatever these are not ordinary times
00:14:53.120 the prime minister's request for prorogation permits him to flee parliament he would be
00:14:59.420 trying to escape the wishes of the people and their representatives this is the moment for
00:15:04.060 which we provide the special reserve powers for the governor general to prevent a government from
00:15:09.340 running away from the will of the people's representatives and that's exactly what's
00:15:14.700 happened so far. But, but, this article was originally published in the Winnipeg Sun and
00:15:21.880 made it nationally to the National Post. Expect a court challenge if Justin Trudeau puts Parliament
00:15:29.600 on pause, which he did this morning. Justin Trudeau should get ready to go to court if he
00:15:36.380 prorogues Parliament to dodge an expected non-confidence vote in January, says one legal
00:15:41.000 activist. His name is Duff Conacher. I've got a message in to Duff. He's a Winnipeg guy, and
00:15:45.700 hopefully we'll get him on the show at some point this week. He's the head of Citizens Group
00:15:49.700 Democracy Watch. He said he'll keep a close eye on the Prime Minister's actions in the coming days.
00:15:54.900 Democracy Watch will consider filing a court challenge if the Prime Minister asks the
00:16:00.300 Governor General to prorogue Parliament at a time where it's clear the prorogation is a
00:16:04.540 self-interested move to protect the interests of the Liberal Party by preventing a majority of
00:16:10.540 MPs from voting non-confidence in
00:16:12.500 the government. Conacher said that
00:16:14.560 in an email to the National Post
00:16:16.280 last week.
00:16:18.780 For those of you who missed it this
00:16:20.520 morning,
00:16:21.580 Justin Trudeau announcing his resignation
00:16:24.400 is included in this
00:16:26.500 video right here.
00:16:30.700 Actually, young
00:16:31.860 noblings of the
00:16:32.720 government.
00:16:33.960 He penetrates the cabinets.
00:16:36.520 The change is not just happening.
00:16:39.260 The change
00:16:40.000 can be shaped by us we have to prepare for a more angry world how to prepare
00:16:47.620 takes the necessary action to create the feral world i see the need for a great reset so people
00:16:55.660 assume we are just going back to the good old world which we had and everything will be normal
00:17:01.860 again this is uh let's say fiction it will not happen over the holidays i've also had a chance
00:17:10.520 to reflect and have had long talks with my family about our future throughout the course of my
00:17:17.200 career any success i have personally achieved has been because of their support and with their
00:17:24.220 encouragement so last night over dinner i told my kids about the decision that i'm sharing with you
00:17:31.500 today i intend to resign as party leader as prime minister after the party selects its next leader
00:17:42.860 through a robust nationwide competitive process yeah all right so he intends to resign
00:17:53.460 intends to resign as party leader and prime minister after the party
00:17:59.840 selects a new leader after a nationwide robust election or process or whatever it is they're
00:18:08.620 going to do. So he's still the prime minister and the leader of the liberal party and will be
00:18:15.040 until whenever. Now, hopefully the liberals will have somebody in place by March 24th when
00:18:21.100 parliament resumes, because that's when it's prorogued until. But let's get back to this article
00:18:26.300 for just a second here. What is the precedent, you might be asking, for Duff Conacher of Democracy
00:18:32.740 Watch to file a claim, an injunction, to try and get rid of this prerogation and bring Parliament
00:18:39.460 back? In a landmark fall 2019 ruling, and I had this on the show last week, for those of you that
00:18:45.560 missed it, here it is again, the UK, and they run the same kind of Parliament we do, remember,
00:18:51.120 the UK Supreme Court put the brakes on then-Prime Minister Boris Johnson's bid to silence
00:18:55.940 parliamentary debate ahead of the brexit deadline of october 31st the court's unanimous unanimous
00:19:02.220 11 nothing decision nullified johnson's earlier request to the queen to put a five-week pause on
00:19:07.560 parliament at the height of a political crisis over britain's imminent withdrawal from the
00:19:12.380 european union the prime minister and his fellow mps went back to work the very next day so what
00:19:17.740 is the crisis canada faces all right donald trump is threatening 25 percent tariffs across the board
00:19:24.400 for every canadian product that is exported to the united states this could cost thousands if not
00:19:32.540 tens of thousands of canadians their jobs at least it's possible they could be put on some kind of a
00:19:39.280 leave for the foreseeable future until some kind of a deal is struck with donald trump and without
00:19:45.780 a government to negotiate with us that's got the backing of the people of this country
00:19:50.240 who knows what happens maybe trump just goes ahead and put puts the tariffs on and and says
00:19:56.760 well bring somebody to me who can negotiate and we don't have anybody like that trudeau
00:20:01.660 does not represent the people he is a lame duck he's been a lame duck for the last two years let's
00:20:07.620 be honest his mandate is crumbled he doesn't have any support whatsoever not even from his own party
00:20:14.160 How could he go and negotiate on our country's behalf? He can't. So who then? Daniel Smith.
00:20:22.060 No, she's a provincial premier. Same with Doug Ford. Same with any premier. So who then? You
00:20:27.900 might be thinking, what about Pierre Paliyev? No, he's only the leader of the opposition until such
00:20:32.720 time as we have an election. But the liberals are holding this country once again hostage
00:20:38.620 for their own vanity this is not for the good of our country this is for the good of the lit
00:20:44.680 justin trudeau and the liberal party of canada let's look back at justin trudeau's legacy a
00:20:50.280 little bit what has he brought us because he's been so celebrated today by the very mps that
00:20:57.320 were out stabbing stabbing him in the back in the last couple of months oh you know it's a sad day
00:21:02.040 wayne long liberal mp from new brunswick was saying and all of the cabinet ministers are coming
00:21:07.360 out and former and current saying, oh my God, he gave his life to public service. Are you kidding
00:21:12.900 me? Was he in public service when he did the black face? I don't recall him being in elected
00:21:19.980 position when he did the black face over and over and over again, but his life has been dedicated
00:21:25.000 to public service. Of course, even Jane Philpott here is Jane Philpott. She was the minister of
00:21:33.920 Health, who stood by Jody Wilson-Raybould during the big scandal, remember? And she got her ass 1.00
00:21:40.320 kicked out of cabinet. And here she is saying, it's an emotional day. Anyone who served Canada
00:21:46.380 as head of government deserves thanks and respect. So thanks, Justin Trudeau, for your service.
00:21:51.500 Thanks for giving me an opportunity to serve in the 42nd Parliament. I'm proud of many things
00:21:56.540 we accomplished in those days. We wish you well. Excuse me. He treated you like flotsam,
00:22:03.400 jane and so obviously many people tweeted back at her saying are you kidding me right now so she
00:22:09.140 retweeted with this addendum hey folks it's possible to disagree with someone and even to
00:22:15.080 have been treated unfairly by them yet respond to them with grace respect human dignity we need more
00:22:20.600 civility less hatred more forbearance less bitterness let's be a nation where people are
00:22:24.940 kind to one another and i agree with that for the most part what i said was simply this jane
00:22:31.820 i understand your point and under normal circumstances i'd give that benefit of the
00:22:37.560 doubt in this case there are no doubts this person has significantly damaged our country
00:22:42.900 and either intentionally or unintentionally it is unforgivable what he did and i was trying to
00:22:50.320 be nice one thing justin trudeau may have brought to our country and the next few years will let us
00:22:58.180 know whether this is true or not is sharia law let's watch this older clip from david menzies
00:23:05.400 on rebel news into a gay couple in palisine sir what what would happen to a gay couple
00:23:12.280 in gaza executed according to islamic law islam doesn't endorse gayism islam doesn't endorse
00:23:18.700 homosexuality just like canada doesn't endorse a lot of things and do you think that's good
00:23:23.300 Do you think that's good, sir? Do you think it's good for gays?
00:23:26.880 I would get executed, right? I would get prosecuted.
00:23:30.720 In the same way, Islam doesn't approve of being gay.
00:23:33.680 I see. Okay, so would you like to see Sharia law in Canada replace Canadian law?
00:23:38.400 At some point it will. You know, because we have families, we are making babies.
00:23:43.100 You're not. Your population is going down the slump, right?
00:23:47.600 And by 2060, according to Pew Research Institute, your research, by 2060, Muslims will be the biggest religious group the world over.
00:23:58.700 What are you going to do then?
00:24:00.040 Are you going to oppose Sharia even then?
00:24:02.560 Well, you know what?
00:24:04.460 I'm very appreciative of the honesty.
00:24:06.620 We don't usually get that.
00:24:07.860 So you do support Sharia.
00:24:09.640 You do want a Muslim-majority nation in the West End, correct?
00:24:13.660 But just like you had a Muslim, a Western majority nation in the land of Native Americans,
00:24:19.520 one day we can have a Muslim majority nation here in Canada.
00:24:22.160 I'm a political refugee from Iran.
00:24:24.440 I've been to prison.
00:24:25.360 I've been under Islamic law.
00:24:27.880 And I know how it starts and I know how it ends.
00:24:32.000 And it always starts with the, for some reason, unity of left and Islamists.
00:24:39.100 And it scares me.
00:24:41.160 So I came here to be free.
00:24:43.280 I chose Canada as my second home to live in a free country.
00:24:48.820 And I'm beginning to get really scared because the way things are going,
00:24:54.580 it looks like they're going to basically appease Islamists just to not raise any ruckus or something.
00:25:03.440 They're just going to appease them step by step, and they're not going to stop.
00:25:07.400 They see it as a sign of weakness, so they're going to take more and more, and I'm against that.
00:25:12.160 I believe Canada should be free and freedom of speech is something that nobody can take over.
00:25:20.800 Well, that's interesting, you know, because I've often thought, hey, what happens when the Indians take over, whether it's the.
00:25:28.380 Whether it's the Calistanis or whether it's the Hindus, whether they're fighting in the streets and we regular normal old stock Canadians just sit back and watch all this as our police do nothing, which is what they've been doing.
00:25:39.880 or maybe the Muslims, who seem to be out for blood, pardon the expression, for Jewish people
00:25:46.880 in the past year and a half, and the police once again do nothing. Universities, institutions,
00:25:52.260 courts, they do nothing as well. Justin Trudeau was brought up strangely.
00:25:59.120 I have no sympathy for him, but beginning to understand his psychiatric makeup,
00:26:05.800 up here's an interview with his mother maggie from the 1970s sometimes i'm cross with them
00:26:14.520 but i'm i'm always loving to them do you think that what you've done choosing the sort of life
00:26:20.200 that you've chosen to lead is going to make things very very difficult for your children
00:26:24.280 no i think it's going to make it wonderful for them so far they think it's they think mommy's
00:26:28.520 wonderful don't you think it's about time we redefined human relationships haven't we really
00:26:35.640 messed up a lot of people's lives with our old-fashioned values our old-fashioned bombs
00:26:42.760 you know aren't we in the generation that should practice what we preach you know
00:26:50.520 is there a love in your life at the moment oh yes how many how many is there a love in
00:26:57.720 my life how many well is there a man in your life a special man yes any hints no
00:27:03.720 Somebody will find out sooner or later.
00:27:06.500 Sure.
00:27:07.040 Does that bother you that you don't have a private life whether you like it or not?
00:27:09.820 Right now I do.
00:27:11.020 I love it.
00:27:12.000 How long do you think that will last?
00:27:15.600 I don't care.
00:27:18.060 Reading things about you and even reading your book, it's very easy to get the impression that you're preoccupied with relationships.
00:27:24.640 Yes, boy crazy.
00:27:26.340 Now it's man crazy.
00:27:27.900 Her approach to motherhood, like her approach to most things, is an odd mixture of naive wisdom and amazing short-sightedness.
00:27:36.800 She sees her three sons, Justin, Sasha, and Michelle, for five days every two weeks.
00:27:45.540 I don't know who my daddy is.
00:27:50.460 That definitely would screw people up.
00:27:52.060 maybe that turned him
00:27:55.420 into the man he is today
00:27:58.000 I don't know
00:27:59.680 everybody has been worried
00:28:01.960 whether Jagmeet Singh
00:28:04.020 whether the NDP will finally
00:28:06.020 vote non-confidence in this government
00:28:07.740 here is Jagmeet Singh
00:28:09.100 interviewed today
00:28:11.400 the first confidence motion
00:28:13.600 before parliament is going to be the throne speech
00:28:16.200 will the NDP
00:28:17.300 vote to bring down the government at the throne speech
00:28:19.960 yes whatever the vote is there will be a vote of confidence new democrats will be voting against
00:28:28.860 this government for an election where canadians will have a choice the liberals have let you down
00:28:34.940 they've let you down again and again it doesn't matter who the leader is the liberals have let
00:28:41.180 you down they do not deserve another chance and the conservatives under pierre polyev
00:28:46.900 want to cut the things that you need. They want to cut pensions for seniors who are already
00:28:52.960 struggling. They want to cut health care at a time when people can't get the care they need.
00:28:58.160 They want to cut dental care for seniors and kids who are just receiving this care. They want to
00:29:02.940 cut that. It's a callous decision. And New Democrats want to fight those greedy CEOs that
00:29:10.180 are ripping you off. We want to lower your grocery bills and make sure you can actually find a home 0.88
00:29:14.180 that you can afford. You Democrats are building a movement. If you are worried about those cuts,
00:29:19.880 if you're worried about Pierre-Paul Yev, you feel let down by the Liberals, stand with us.
00:29:27.440 I'm just going to say it because nobody else wants to, and it's going to sound horrible to some of
00:29:33.880 you, but there is no way that a man wearing a turban is ever going to be the Prime Minister
00:29:40.560 of Canada now being the leader of the NDP is one thing there's never been a federal NDP government
00:29:46.700 provincial yes BC Manitoba Saskatchewan Alberta even Ontario they've all had NDP governments but
00:29:53.620 never federally never federally so that's already strike one and then the turban and you want to
00:29:59.340 know what it's simply because there's not enough calistanis in this country to support him I know
00:30:07.200 it sounds racist, but if this guy goes out on the world stage, people are going to say, hey,
00:30:12.720 hey, are you the Indian guy? No, I'm the Canadian prime minister. Oh, really? Yeah. I don't think
00:30:20.260 people are buying into that yet, no matter how much DEI you throw at us. I don't think people
00:30:26.180 are going for that. Maybe in 20 or 25 years. But the thing is, Canada is a country based on
00:30:32.900 multiculturalism, and there's some people out there who still don't understand the difference
00:30:38.740 between multiculturalism and the melting pot theory, which is what the United States is,
00:30:44.240 at least it's supposed to be, in theory. That's when everybody gets together, everybody's American,
00:30:49.120 that's it, no matter what they are. Now, that has changed somewhat in the past 10, 15 years. Donald
00:30:54.860 Trump and his gang, I think, are going to bring back that whole philosophy. But in Canada,
00:31:01.480 of multiculturalism means, hey, bring all your crap with you. And we're not going to make you
00:31:07.020 assimilate at all. So it's the difference between, let's say you go to a potluck dinner and there's
00:31:11.240 all these different dishes on the table and there's a stew sitting there. That's the United
00:31:15.100 States. That's the melting pot. And right next to it are cold cuts all in their own unique little
00:31:22.220 tray, right? Cold cuts and cheeses and olives and pickles and whatever. And that's Canada.
00:31:30.200 it. All of these siloed little nationalities that never even have to learn one of the two
00:31:36.540 official languages of this country in order to get by. And that needs to change this whole
00:31:42.240 multicultural thing. It needs to change. And Paliyev is saying that he is saying Canada first.
00:31:49.160 And he did say that in the Jordan Peterson interview last week or the week before,
00:31:54.260 which was recorded before Christmas, by the way, he did say Canada first enough with the hyphens
00:31:58.640 already what are you ukrainian canadian what are you uh russian canadian italian canadian no i'm
00:32:05.140 simply canadian maxime bernier there's a lot of people after me to try and get him back on the
00:32:12.760 show and talk to him about things and i may do that down the road i don't think the ppc has got
00:32:17.680 a chance but max did put a video out today and here it is big news today in ottawa the resignation
00:32:27.340 of Justin Trudeau. That's the good news, but that's not the beginning of a new era in
00:32:33.940 Ottawa. We have globalist establishment politicians in Ottawa, the Conservatives, Liberals, RNDP
00:32:43.320 or Bloc Québécois and Green. They are not there to fight for you. Just remember what
00:32:49.840 they did to you during the COVID hysteria. Yes, Justin Trudeau was able to impose a draconian
00:32:56.220 authoritarian measures on us with the support of the conservative and Pierre
00:33:01.980 Poliev we must remember that the People's Party is there to fight for you
00:33:08.040 and if you look at the last nine years what Justin Trudeau did he destroyed
00:33:15.960 our country yes with mass immigration woke policies and the radical gender
00:33:24.100 ideology, and all these deficits, and now we are paying for that with the inflation tax.
00:33:30.820 That's because of Justin Trudeau and the liberals. It won't change tomorrow. It will take time,
00:33:37.780 and we are there to offer you the real alternative. If you believe in individual freedom,
00:33:44.660 personal responsibility, respect, and fairness, we are there. We are ready to put our country first.
00:33:51.060 Yes, we will withdraw from the Paris Accord.
00:33:54.940 We won't give any money to all these UN organizations
00:33:59.160 because they are socialists and globalists
00:34:02.860 and they are not fighting for us as Canadians.
00:34:06.480 We will end mass immigration and start mass deportation.
00:34:12.980 We will have a moratorium on immigration.
00:34:16.600 So if you are ready to regain our country,
00:34:19.280 support the People's Party of Canada.
00:34:22.140 You can go on our website and read our policies
00:34:25.020 at peoplespartyofcanada.ca.
00:34:28.600 So stay strong and free.
00:34:31.060 I count on you and you can count on us.
00:34:34.480 Thank you.
00:34:36.760 All right, there is Max Bernier,
00:34:38.540 obviously the People's Party of Canada.
00:34:41.000 I don't say leader of the People's Party of Canada.
00:34:43.460 I say he is the People's Party of Canada.
00:34:45.880 Without Max Bernier, there is no People's Party of Canada.
00:34:48.760 I do like his policies.
00:34:51.280 I've said that before.
00:34:52.240 I like them better than the Conservative Party.
00:34:54.020 But sadly, the People's Party of Canada has absolutely zero chance at winning.
00:35:00.260 Now, there is massive division amongst Conservatives in Canada.
00:35:05.660 And it seems as though, at least in the last 18 months, that number of people in this country
00:35:10.660 who are willing to call themselves Conservative has grown.
00:35:13.900 A couple of years ago, it was hanging around the 35 or 40 percent mark.
00:35:17.700 And these days it's closer to about 47 or 48 percent, one percent being PPC people and the other 45 or 46 percent being conservative people, meaning the Conservative Party of Canada, at least the party they're going to support.
00:35:32.680 Tom Marazzo, our buddy, he made a great post on X today I thought I'd share with you.
00:35:39.080 He says, over the past 125 years, Canada has seen multiple iterations of conservative and
00:35:45.880 liberal-style parties. However, while the liberal party has remained intact, the conservative
00:35:51.660 movement has fractured, rebranded, and restarted itself multiple times, leading to repeated
00:35:56.820 failures and missed opportunities the conservative cycle of self-destruction conservative style
00:36:03.800 parties at least five major iterations the conservative party of canada from 1867 to 1942
00:36:11.020 the original party of john a mcdonald which dominated early canadian politics but eventually
00:36:15.960 fractured the progressive conservative party 1942 to 2003 formed from the old conservative party with
00:36:23.060 progressive added to appeal to Western voters. I think when he says Western, he's talking about
00:36:29.020 Western, meaning the West of the world, not Western Canada, because if he's talking about
00:36:33.960 Western Canada, I think he probably should have said Eastern Canada, as more progressive
00:36:38.940 conservatives are there than out West, that's for sure. This party dominated under Diefenbaker,
00:36:44.560 Mulroney, and briefly under Joe Clark, but suffered deep divisions. Then the Reform Party,
00:36:50.240 1987 to 2000 a right-wing western-based populist party founded by preston manning
00:36:55.960 in reaction to the pc party's failures then the canadian alliance 2000 to 2003
00:37:01.540 a final merger of the pcs and the canadian alliance i'm sorry i i didn't finish the
00:37:07.620 canadian alliance part a merger of reform with disaffected pc members aiming to unify
00:37:13.700 conservatives but still competing with the pc party then finally the conservative party of
00:37:19.020 canada 2003 to present final merger of the pcs in the canadian alliance forming today's cpc under
00:37:25.240 stephen harper and later leaders like sheer o'toole and now pierre polyeth then you've got liberal
00:37:30.560 style parties essentially just one the liberal party of canada from 1867 until now the only
00:37:39.200 major liberal and he uses quotes for that liberal party uninterrupted since confederation while
00:37:46.780 While leadership and policies have shifted, Laurier, King, Pearson, Trudeau Sr., Kretzian, Trudeau Jr., the party itself is never rebranded, merged, or split.
00:37:56.540 Key takeaways.
00:37:57.960 The conservative movement has been unstable with at least five major party iterations and multiple mergers, collapses, and reinventions.
00:38:05.680 The Liberal Party has remained intact for over 150 years, allowing it to project continuity and institutional dominance.
00:38:14.020 When conservatives fracture, liberals win by default, as seen in the 1993 election when the PCs collapsed and Jean Chrétien's liberals won a massive majority.
00:38:24.300 The real problem? Conservatives just can't get along.
00:38:28.360 It's not just that conservatives have been unstable. The conservative movement has been unstable.
00:38:33.500 Conservative voters themselves have been their own worst enemies.
00:38:37.520 For 125 years, conservatives have failed to stick together, constantly splitting into factions over ideological purity, personal grudges, or minor policy differences.
00:38:48.780 Meanwhile, liberals march in lockstep, understanding that power comes from unity, not perfection.
00:38:56.280 This is why conservatives lose even when they win, because they never hold power long enough to change anything.
00:39:02.920 The moment they gain a foothold, they turn on each other and the liberals just waltz back in
00:39:07.400 to undo whatever little progress was made. Conservative voters keep making the same
00:39:12.880 mistakes, believing that a new leader, a different party name, or a fresh rebrand will fix everything.
00:39:17.680 It won't. The problem isn't leadership. It's that conservatives can't stop infighting long
00:39:24.700 enough to actually govern. The liberal party's greatest strength is its stability. The conservative
00:39:31.240 movement's greatest weakness is its constant division and self-sabotage. If Canada ever gets
00:39:37.200 real political reform, it won't come from another conservative rebrand, another savior leader,
00:39:42.400 or another promise to unite the right. It will come from abandoning this two-party illusion
00:39:48.160 altogether and focusing on localism, decentralization, and real community-driven
00:39:53.480 politics instead of waiting for Ottawa to fix itself. Until conservatives stop bickering,
00:39:59.260 splitting and sabotaging their own movement they'll continue to hand power to the very people
00:40:04.340 they claim to oppose do you see it now very very well written by our friend tom arazo my response
00:40:13.500 was simply this indeed however i contend it's the nature of the beast conservative-minded people are
00:40:21.600 more free-thinking and independent than those on the left unwilling to abandon their principles
00:40:26.100 for whatever favor may be bestowed on them by elites we can stick together in short bursts but
00:40:31.940 there are too many versions of conservative and not enough canadians who think independently
00:40:37.580 enough to call themselves that let's also not forget the nanny state zeitgeist ushered in by
00:40:43.220 the adoption of medicare and other such programs in the 1950s and 60s and we have entire generations
00:40:49.140 of canadians trapped by that idea that the government needs to take care of the people
00:40:54.660 as opposed to us taking care of ourselves, how we get out of that stage, I have absolutely zero
00:41:03.060 idea. Do you? I'm lost with that one. Getting back to the liberals for just a second. Here is
00:41:10.520 Wayne Long. This guy has been lobbying for at least a year, he says, to get rid of Justin Trudeau. And
00:41:16.020 so he was interviewed by Vashi Kapelos on CTV today. What was going through your head as you
00:41:23.040 watched the prime minister make that announcement finally today honestly sadness um you know it's a
00:41:28.900 day that we did work towards and um you know a day that we wanted to happen but it's pretty sad that
00:41:37.760 we had to get to this point i mean to um your other uh commentators uh words like you know this
00:41:44.860 should have and could have happened months ago but you know what it's it happened um it's a day of
00:41:51.560 reflection i know for a lot of us but in the end it had to happen our chances of winning the next
00:41:57.340 election have just gone up by about a thousand percent uh than they were two hours ago so i look
00:42:03.780 at this as a day of sadness and reflection but also day one of our rebuild let's go
00:42:08.180 i think maybe he's on some of that safe supply he's been touting for the last couple of years
00:42:15.840 our chances of winning the next election went up by about a thousand percent two hours ago let's go
00:42:22.440 i don't think so i don't think so at all we're going to go through who the front runners may be
00:42:29.840 for the liberal leadership in the next little bit danielle smith one of the stronger leaders in
00:42:35.500 canada and i know there's many people who criticize and i do criticize danielle when she makes a
00:42:40.240 mistake that's for sure she tweeted today at this critical time canadians need and deserve
00:42:45.580 of a prime minister and federal government with a clear mandate won from the Canadian people to
00:42:49.680 negotiate with the incoming U.S. president and his administration on one of the most important
00:42:55.140 international negotiations we've ever faced as a country. The Liberal Party has no such mandate
00:43:00.720 from Canadians and they're putting their selfish political interests ahead of the Canadian people
00:43:05.740 by paralyzing parliament and suspending democracy for months while they fight a divisive internal
00:43:12.240 leadership contest. It's one of the most irresponsible and selfish acts of a government
00:43:17.380 in Canadian history. We call on all federal parties and MPs to force an election at the
00:43:23.300 first available opportunity and give Canadians the opportunity to pick a party and a leader
00:43:28.400 to represent their interests at this critical time for our nation. And she's absolutely right.
00:43:34.220 I think she said what I said earlier in the show tonight. Here is Jordan Peterson on with
00:43:39.660 here's morgan earlier today well i watched his resignation speech this morning and i thought
00:43:46.920 you know i've never heard justin trudeau say a true word in his entire life
00:43:52.500 i'm a pretty astute clinician and i can if i pay attention i can tell the difference between
00:43:58.560 someone who's you know merely wrong and trying his best and someone who just lies with every
00:44:04.760 single breath and he is definitely a person like that everything he does is an act and his
00:44:09.920 resignation speech was an act you could tell because today he started out with the words
00:44:14.900 well everyone knows that I'm a fighter and I don't give up and I mean Pierce I don't know about you
00:44:21.620 but I can't imagine myself ever saying something like that in public I who would say that I'm a
00:44:27.260 fighter especially as you're giving up really as you're literally giving up well it's like I quit
00:44:33.880 but I'm not a quitter yes you are you're literally quitting in front of our eyes
00:44:38.680 yeah well and it's also the case that you saw in that opening salvo exactly his preoccupation
00:44:47.320 with himself yeah it's like this is all a drama about Justin Trudeau as far as Justin Trudeau
00:44:53.540 is concerned you all know I'm a fighter it's like actually Justin at the moment we don't give a damn
00:44:58.720 if you're a fighter actually we don't give a damn about you period this isn't about you it's about
00:45:03.600 the fact that over nine years, you have moved Canadians from parity in terms of per capita
00:45:10.760 GDP. We were equal to the Americans nine years ago, equal. And now we're at 60%, which is
00:45:17.600 also, by the way, the case for you guys in the UK. And that's 100% attributable to Justin
00:45:23.420 Trudeau and his like nightmarish, woke, leftist, weak policies. And the same, it's exactly the
00:45:30.520 same cabal of self-serving narcissists that have been in power so often in the uk and that are
00:45:36.820 responsible for the clamorous silence surrounding these sadistic rape gangs and i'm i'm so glad he's
00:45:45.080 gone he's he he was a he was a curse my country is in worse shape by far than ever i've ever seen
00:45:52.240 it in my entire life yeah that whole rape gang thing over in the uk whoa that's a big deal
00:46:01.600 elon musk has been sticking his beak into that and all of the globalist leaders over there in europe
00:46:06.440 not just keir starmer but france emmanuel macron all of them the german guy too they're all saying
00:46:13.660 stick your nose someplace else musk and how is it that a billionaire the world's richest man and
00:46:20.280 owner of one of the largest social media platforms in the world can interfere with
00:46:25.500 our democracies. Oh yeah, they're scared. There's a lot of bad crap that's been going on over there
00:46:31.740 and Musk seems to be wanting to uncover it. But I do believe that he's been getting a little bit
00:46:37.640 too aggressive and probably needs to dial it back. By the way, Donald Trump was affirmed
00:46:44.420 as the president today. His inauguration is not for a couple of weeks, but interesting that it
00:46:49.200 happened on january 6th kamala harris had to affirm that donald trump did in fact win the
00:46:56.080 election last november which is one of the duties of the vice president of the united states
00:47:01.440 of america so who now i haven't said this yet and i know there's probably a lot of people
00:47:08.060 that are waiting for me to say it so i haven't talked about the globalist cabal yet in this
00:47:15.160 episode and ultimately that's what this show is about at least one of the things this is about
00:47:20.840 and obviously the canadian perspective on that was this a major blow for the cabal today
00:47:28.680 yes and no justin trudeau was a big player in my opinion a big player with the world economic forum
00:47:37.000 the united nations and all of that but i think he was more of a wannabe more a little dog you know
00:47:42.940 that Looney Tunes cartoon
00:47:44.840 where Spike's the big dog
00:47:46.200 and there's the little dog?
00:47:47.840 Yeah, yeah.
00:47:48.820 What do you say, Spike?
00:47:49.580 What do you say, Spike?
00:47:50.480 Nah.
00:47:51.560 Clown Schwab.
00:47:52.780 Christia Freeland is more into 0.96
00:47:54.960 the World Economic Forum
00:47:56.780 than Justin Trudeau ever was.
00:47:59.140 And so is Mark Carney.
00:48:01.040 And who are the next candidates
00:48:04.460 being touted as the frontrunners
00:48:06.100 in the liberal leadership race?
00:48:07.680 Well, from BNN Bloomberg,
00:48:09.360 you've got Mark Carney,
00:48:10.380 Carbon Tax Carney,
00:48:11.540 and Christia Freeland.
00:48:12.940 and some cabinet ministers among the contenders to succeed Trudeau,
00:48:17.140 even though nothing, at least that I've seen,
00:48:19.240 has officially been announced yet.
00:48:21.600 We've got, and Mark Carney is only 59.
00:48:24.020 I can't believe he's younger than me.
00:48:25.400 Have you seen a picture of the guy?
00:48:28.080 What? Are you kidding?
00:48:29.960 Mark Carney, born in the remote Northwest Territories.
00:48:33.760 Mark Carney grew up in Alberta and was educated at Harvard in Oxford.
00:48:37.700 This guy has absolutely no business...
00:48:42.940 at all, being the prime minister of this country. None whatsoever. He has nothing in relation
00:48:50.080 with Canada at all. You've got Christia Freeland. I think her thing is up here. Yeah, there she is.
00:48:57.400 No member of the cabinet was as tightly connected to Trudeau as Freeland, who spent his entire term
00:49:02.520 in high-profile posts, trade minister, foreign affairs, finance, the first woman in Canada to
00:49:08.100 hold the latter role. I believe it's going to be Christia Freeland who wins or Dominique LeBlanc.
00:49:17.480 But I think it's going to be Freeland. Anybody who wins really will not have a chance of defeating
00:49:24.980 the conservative juggernaut at this stage of the game. And the more the liberals protect this thing,
00:49:30.500 the worse it's going to be for them. The sooner the election, believe it or not,
00:49:34.940 the better it's going to be for the liberals they just can't stand looking at a crushing defeat like
00:49:40.060 this i don't think anybody is going to vote liberal in this country ever again after what
00:49:45.500 we've seen from these people melanie jolie is on the list apparently uh who else here francois
00:49:52.240 philippe champagne who else we got anita anand she's a criminal isn't she or maybe her husband 0.52
00:49:58.900 is she was one of the ones who was receiving some green slush fund money or her husband's company i
00:50:06.120 was i believe jonathan wilkinson one of the most arrogant ministers in the trudeau cabinet he
00:50:11.440 represents north vancouver at least for now uh anybody else christy clark the former liberal
00:50:17.260 uh premier of british columbia and that's it so far there could be some surprise entries
00:50:22.860 as we move along but again there's not enough time here for the liberals to be dicking around
00:50:27.500 They've got two months before Parliament resumes on March the 24th.
00:50:32.820 Trudeau did get his prerogament, but we'll see.
00:50:35.300 If there is a constitutional challenge made by Democracy Watch, Parliament may get recalled
00:50:41.820 on the date they were supposed to come back, which is January 27th or earlier.
00:50:46.560 It depends on what happens.
00:50:48.960 If this, in fact, this prerogament granted by the Governor General is legal and there
00:50:55.180 is standing and precedent within the parliamentary system. And I told you guys this earlier in the
00:51:03.480 show, showing that the UK tried to prorogue parliament during the Brexit talks and were
00:51:08.380 slapped back 11 to nothing by the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom. The Justin Trudeau
00:51:15.680 resignation is receiving worldwide attention today. Michael Schellenberger, one of the reporters on
00:51:23.240 the twitter files about a year a year ago wrote this today on his ex justin trudeau says he's
00:51:28.820 deeply compassionate but he's not he smeared ordinary canadians as nazis he froze the bank
00:51:35.100 accounts of critics of his covet policies and he spread disinformation while demanding censorship
00:51:39.880 it's time to talk about the malignant narcissism of justin trudeau in this article written by
00:51:45.700 steven moore now this is from the american perspective i found this to be interesting
00:51:52.880 And it goes back a couple of years when Anthony Rota was still the Speaker of the House,
00:51:56.320 and they brought that Nazi, the actual Nazi, Yaroslav Hanka,
00:52:00.580 invited him to the House of Commons.
00:52:02.740 So this article goes back to then.
00:52:05.800 Last week, Canadian House of Commons Speaker Anthony Rota invited a 98-year-old man
00:52:10.440 named Yaroslav Hanka to attend a speech by Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrainian president.
00:52:16.200 Rota called Hanka a Canadian hero, and Prime Minister Trudeau cheered for Hanka alongside lawmakers.
00:52:20.880 lawmakers, but Hanka, it turned out, served in a Nazi unit during World War II, sparking outrage.
00:52:27.700 In response, Rota took full responsibility for the incident, and Trudeau called it deeply
00:52:33.940 embarrassing. Trudeau then warned against Russian propaganda and Russian disinformation. We later
00:52:39.640 found out, of course, that the invitation came from the prime minister's office. Trudeau's non-apology
00:52:46.440 and dismissal of criticism as Russian disinformation is especially hypocritical,
00:52:50.760 given his repeated denunciation of the Canadian Freedom Convoy as a Nazi-linked movement.
00:52:55.740 Again, that's the American perspective. And so many people from around the world,
00:53:00.780 thanks to the reach of Michael Schellenberger on X, are hearing about this for the very first
00:53:07.440 time ever. Trudeau is not going to have a good legacy at all. But we have to win the battle
00:53:15.540 against the globalists so we're the ones who can write history look at this the pleb put this on
00:53:20.980 his ex today spotted in langley british columbia dairy queen is offering two dollar burgers to
00:53:25.900 celebrate the resignation of justin trudeau trudeau resignation special two dollar burgers and here's
00:53:33.980 rapper tom mcdonald with the message for justin trudeau a little bit earlier today
00:53:38.400 Justin Trudeau, you're f***ing out of here, bud.
00:53:43.540 Hey, and don't forget to take your yarmulke, your turban, your headdress, your cowboy hat,
00:53:48.920 these two dudes, and your face paint with you.
00:53:51.540 And I'm sure you got a couple of these buried in that closet you're afraid to come out of,
00:53:55.580 so don't forget to take these with you too.
00:53:57.840 And, you know, I just got off the phone with Canada,
00:54:00.320 and they wanted me to give you this little present to thank you for your 10 years of service
00:54:04.280 and help bid you farewell.
00:54:06.040 You ready, Justin?
00:54:08.400 F*** off, and farewell.
00:54:11.060 So there you go.
00:54:11.740 I even stuffed your little hat in there.
00:54:13.440 You're already half-packed, man.
00:54:14.800 Just hit the road.
00:54:15.980 And Justin, don't forget.
00:54:20.260 Have a great day.
00:54:23.720 I like that guy.
00:54:27.180 Now what's he going to do?
00:54:29.500 What's Trudeau going to do?
00:54:30.640 Do you think he's going to stay in Canada?
00:54:32.300 Is he going to get some cushy job as an ambassador
00:54:34.880 or working for the World Economic Forum
00:54:37.320 or the United Nations in some way,
00:54:39.220 will he ever be able to show his face in Canada again?
00:54:42.860 Somebody asked that on social media today,
00:54:45.180 and it got me wondering, hmm,
00:54:47.220 I wonder, do ex-Canadian prime ministers
00:54:49.440 get a security detail like the ex-presidents do
00:54:52.260 in the United States?
00:54:53.680 Now, ex-presidents don't get the full security detail
00:54:57.720 a sitting president does, but they still get security.
00:55:01.080 They get shot at, but they still get security.
00:55:05.960 but do ex-Canadian prime ministers when they're out of office do they get a security detail and
00:55:11.340 I found this I had to dig for this one it's an old Ottawa citizen article goes back to 2015 when
00:55:17.400 Stephen Harper was leaving office and it says Harper can keep scaled down RCMP protective
00:55:24.240 detail not that Harper needed it as I pointed out before this is a guy who sat amongst the fans at
00:55:29.720 hockey games NHL hockey games all over the country and they showed him on TV all the time and you
00:55:35.640 never saw security. I'm sure there was security around him, but you never saw them like you do
00:55:40.740 with Trudeau. It's pervasive with this guy and his like 18 SUVs and all the guys that get out
00:55:46.680 of the vehicles before he does to make sure there's nobody hanging around, like 20 of them.
00:55:52.060 You never saw that with Harper. Former Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his family can
00:55:56.740 benefit from the protection of a small detail of plainclothes RCMP bodyguards should he accept
00:56:02.900 the force's offer to provide continuing security now that he's left 24 Sussex. And again, remember,
00:56:09.400 this goes back to 2015 when he was defeated by Justin Trudeau.
00:56:15.600 The Royal Canadian Mounted Police offers security to all departing prime ministers,
00:56:20.280 including those who, like Harper, stay in public life. Will Trudeau stay in public life? How much
00:56:26.820 of a security detail will he get, I wonder? The degree of ongoing security is typically decided
00:56:32.220 by the force in consultation with the former PM.
00:56:34.960 Not all prime ministers accept the offer, however.
00:56:38.700 Former Liberal PM John Turner,
00:56:40.560 who was PM, I think, in the mid-'80s for a cup of coffee,
00:56:43.720 didn't want Mounties buzzing around him
00:56:45.360 after he left the top job in 84, nor did Joe Clark.
00:56:49.520 Brian Mulroney kept a small protective detail
00:56:51.960 at his home in Montreal for a time after he retired,
00:56:54.540 but is no longer shattered again.
00:56:55.940 Now he's dead, but this goes back 10 years.
00:56:59.520 During his time in office,
00:57:00.960 John Kretchen was at the center of several embarrassing RCMP security lapses. The one
00:57:06.020 thing I did like about Kretchen was that time where the guy came up to him and he just grabbed
00:57:10.880 him by the face. What do they call that? Just the Schoenigan handshake. I like that. He was
00:57:17.260 hit in the face with a cream pie thrown by a protester and an intruder broke into 24 Sussex
00:57:23.140 while he and his wife slept. He continued to have accompaniment of a Maudie after leaving the job.
00:57:27.860 Paul Martin doesn't usually have guards with him, but sometimes takes one of traveling overseas into a potential dangerous situation.
00:57:35.660 Trudeau, how much security will he retain, I wonder?
00:57:42.060 Anyway, guys, that's it for the Trudeau stuff tonight.
00:57:44.660 It only took me 53 minutes to get through all of it, but there's more to come.
00:57:50.060 But ironically, it's not going to have much to do with Justin Trudeau anymore.
00:57:55.060 and if there's one thing that i'm sorry about it's that because he was the one guy you loved
00:58:05.580 to hate it was like the joker i mean what's what's batman without the joker what's superman
00:58:13.320 without lex luthor spider-man without the green goblin you got to have a good villain
00:58:18.680 and i'm not sure if christy freeland has got the time i mean she's kind of a good villain but she's
00:58:25.800 not really mr speaker i don't know you call her twitch right or tweak isn't that her nickname
00:58:32.640 i think she's going to be the one and mark carney has no personality whatsoever there's just
00:58:41.300 nothing about the guy to hate nothing to like either but it's hard to hate a guy with no
00:58:46.200 personality. Anyhow, let's move on with the other stuff that I have picked out for you tonight.
00:58:52.420 Robbie Starbuck, one of my heroes on X. I'm not sure if you guys are on X. If you're not,
00:58:57.320 you should be. First of all, you follow me. You definitely follow me first, and then you can
00:59:01.460 follow everybody I'm following. Just look on my followers or my followees list. Lots of great
00:59:06.300 people on there. People who make a difference, like Robbie Starbuck. Big news. McDonald's is
00:59:11.880 ending a number of woke DEI policies as of today. Starbucks says, now let me tell you what's
00:59:17.780 changing and how it happened three days ago. I told McDonald's that I'd be doing a story on
00:59:22.460 woke policies there. Today, they've announced the following changes. Hiring, they will end
00:59:28.460 their diversity goals for how many of each race they hire. Many, myself included, have referred
00:59:34.780 to these types of goals as quotas because these goals often operate as quotas that discriminate
00:59:40.620 against white job applicants.
00:59:42.500 They'll no longer participate
00:59:43.560 in the HRC's woke corporate equality index scoring system
00:59:47.800 that forces the trans agenda into the workplace
00:59:50.200 in exchange for a perfect score.
00:59:52.780 They also won't participate in other third-party surveys.
00:59:56.240 Supplier diversity,
00:59:57.180 they're ending the DEI pledge for their supply chain.
01:00:00.240 That means no diversity quotas or goals
01:00:03.020 will exist for how they choose or prioritize suppliers.
01:00:06.780 Focus will now be on merit.
01:00:08.400 It should have been this way the whole time.
01:00:10.620 what the hell's been going on their diversity team will be evolving this year into simply an
01:00:15.820 inclusion team uh he explains how he feels about this in the video where's the video video video
01:00:22.880 video all right let's watch robbie starbuck here all right everybody i got good news for you we
01:00:27.580 got another one you know what time it is we've got a new company flipping their position on dei and
01:00:31.680 that company is mcdonald's now let me tell you how this happened and what the details are i've
01:00:35.620 just got to give x a shout out here because i actually reached out to mcdonald's on x to their
01:00:39.540 senior marketing director on before i continue you guys aren't hearing this right we do have
01:00:44.640 the volume up for this give me a yeah man in the comments if you can hear this i'm not sure if i
01:00:52.200 remembered to turn the volume on before i went live tonight
01:00:54.680 and wait all night scooby-doo says yes all right let's continue friday you can see here
01:01:09.220 So Friday, I sent them a detailed message. I'm not going to show the whole thing here, but a detailed message about DEI.
01:01:14.660 I mean, you can read this part, no problem. And that was Friday, so three days ago.
01:01:19.160 And today, this statement came out.
01:01:21.080 There's more to this message, but for the sake of your time, we're going to jump ahead past a lot of the corporate word salad and go straight into what they're changing.
01:01:27.380 So let me go and translate this corporate speak for you.
01:01:30.160 First bullet point, we are retiring setting aspirational representation goals.
01:01:34.220 And then it's a bunch of blah, blah, blah corporate speak.
01:01:35.860 Let me translate what that means. McDonald's, like many Fortune 500 companies,
01:01:39.220 they had what they would call targets or goals. In reality, they work like racial quotas,
01:01:44.880 but they say these are certainly not quotas. Don't call them that. This is just a goal for
01:01:49.000 them to hire, say, 50% people of color, whatever it might be, into a certain position. And then
01:01:53.660 wouldn't you know it, they hire just the amount that they put, but it's not a quota. Don't call
01:01:57.080 it a quota. Second bullet point, and always one of my favorites, we are pausing external surveys
01:02:01.160 to focus on the work we are doing internally, aka we are leaving the HRC's Corporate Equality Index
01:02:06.380 social credit scoring system. Keep in mind, this was a company that had a perfect HRC CEI score.
01:02:11.800 And that HRC CEI scoring system is how woke policies get forced into workplaces. So they are,
01:02:17.820 again, the latest company to leave that scoring system. And that is good news. And now bullet
01:02:22.000 point number three, one of my favorites, they're going to be retiring their supply chain's DEI
01:02:25.960 pledge in favor of a system that relates to business performance. Imagine that, a merit-based
01:02:31.980 system this is what every company needs to be i said all this already let's get to the part about
01:02:37.020 the other stuff robbie here we go these have changed their policies and we will not stop
01:02:41.060 until we make corporate america sane again so is this perfect no but you know what mcdonald's
01:02:45.840 wasn't one of the worst to begin with but they were on our list of companies and there are many
01:02:49.060 companies that we aim to change and we got more done today changing policy than anybody else has
01:02:54.080 so i'm very proud in fact i have to say i'm loving it and you guys knew i was going to have to do
01:02:58.960 that at least once. Okay. I had to use that line at least one time. Do not judge me because it was
01:03:02.920 too easy. I'm loving it. Okay. I'm loving changing these crazy policies. And for those of you who
01:03:08.000 are new to watching my videos, you might be wondering what is corporate neutrality. And
01:03:11.420 it's very simple. Companies need to stay out of divisive issues. Unless it's related directly to
01:03:16.000 the regulation of their business, they should not be involved in politics. We don't want to know
01:03:20.060 what Macy's thinks about trans rights. Okay. And you know what, if they want to speak up and talk
01:03:24.760 about it, we don't want to spend our money there. We have a right as customers to know how the
01:03:28.620 money's being spent later and then we can decide if we want to give our money to that company and
01:03:32.300 in many cases now we are waking up and saying no we don't want to give our money to this company
01:03:36.080 yeah Robbie okay there's Robbie Starbuck does a great job getting large corporations to get rid
01:03:42.280 of their DEI policies this will be the final story I cover tonight no wait a minute there's one more
01:03:48.160 that I want to get to I don't have a lot of detail on it yet but hopefully I will by tomorrow or the
01:03:53.300 next night also uh possibly this week we're going to have a couple of guests one being jasmine lane
01:03:59.220 the host of overly opinionated with jasmine lane over on youtube she's got quite a following over
01:04:05.360 there she's a former winnipeg radio personality with uh opinions that are over the top i guess
01:04:11.320 that's why she calls it overly opinionated she's great and hopefully she uh will join the show
01:04:16.920 later on this week and then former paramedic out in anagonish nova scotia chet chisholm is going
01:04:22.940 to come on and talk to us at some point this week as well can you believe this this story i posted
01:04:28.380 this on social media the other day from tnc.news ottawa has banned vehicle idling longer than one
01:04:35.960 minute per hour 365 days a year yeah because of climate change right it's all about dastardly
01:04:47.780 climate change now in winnipeg right now i'm just going to check the temperature across the prairies
01:04:52.760 it's pretty cold but in winnipeg today for the last couple of days well minus 17 so it's not
01:05:03.020 too bad even though the wind makes it feel like minus 23 but yesterday was minus 25 with the wind
01:05:08.720 making it feel like minus 30 something it was brutal brutal and so what what do you do when
01:05:13.860 you have a car you got to warm it up you turn it on and then maybe 10 minutes later five minutes
01:05:19.320 later, whatever. You go out there and you go, ah, nice toasty warm. Well, Ottawa says, no, no, no,
01:05:24.560 no, no. Now, Ottawa gets pretty cold, right? During the Freedom Convoy three years ago,
01:05:28.940 it was really cold in Ottawa. All time there, apparently going through a cold snap. They say
01:05:35.460 here, even if Ottawa surpasses its coldest temperature ever recorded of minus 39,
01:05:41.460 residents will be prohibited from idling their unoccupied vehicles for more than one minute
01:05:45.880 an hour going forward, barring some exceptions. Why would there be exceptions if they're trying
01:05:53.440 to keep the climate clean? If they're trying to get to net zero, how can you allow exceptions?
01:05:58.880 The city of Ottawa previously announced their bylaw changes would come into effect
01:06:02.720 this year. January can be enforced no matter the season. The changes come despite the city's
01:06:09.040 own research showing that residents disagree with this change. The previous research was
01:06:13.940 conducted may of last year the survey highlighted that 164 responded supposed to the new idling
01:06:19.820 bylaw well 145 said further education and enforcement were acquired only 86 were in favor
01:06:25.740 of this bylaw by the way did i say 2024 at the beginning of the show tonight because i always
01:06:32.360 say the date did i say do you guys remember did i say 20 did i say january 6 2024 did i say january
01:06:41.220 6th 2025 because i know the year but i was expecting something like that to happen at
01:06:47.140 some point although i didn't expect it to happen so soon here is the final thing before we get to
01:06:51.660 the extension tonight for all access members on shadow davis.com and tonight we're going to go
01:06:58.560 into the rituals of the elite
01:07:02.400 Helen Groose you guys know that name obviously a Dave Freedom you guys know Dave he's a friend
01:07:12.420 of the show he's helped a lot of people with their legal issues uh Dave has been sick the
01:07:17.400 last couple of days he was putting a video together regarding the case of a detective
01:07:22.240 Groose and he couldn't voice it because he had a bad throat so he asked me to do it so I did that
01:07:27.260 last night and he has been putting it together producing it today hopefully it will be available
01:07:32.620 at some point early tomorrow or late tonight i'll keep you posted when it is in case you're not up
01:07:38.420 to speed on the situation that detective gruce faces right now but today was the first day back
01:07:45.820 for her tribunal right blend our friend right blend posted this photo today ottawa police
01:07:50.880 detective helen gruce is a fantastic person she's in high spirits despite her disciplinary hearing
01:07:56.880 I truly believe she did the right thing and what she was doing was investigating the deaths
01:08:01.380 of nine babies in Ottawa by asking what the vaccination status of their parents were
01:08:10.520 and we will try to get Detective Groose on the show at some point in the next week or two and
01:08:19.980 if not her her lawyer Bathsheba Vandenberg will hopefully come on and give us a complete 0.99
01:08:25.320 description of what's happening but she has been treated horribly unfairly at this tribunal in
01:08:30.860 ottawa and that my friends is it for the show tonight i love you all and i appreciate you all
01:08:38.140 and we'll be back tomorrow night at eight o'clock central for another shadow at night live stream

01:08:48.060 you're not going to be there i'll catch you tomorrow night bye for now
