00:28:34.480 has been making money from oil exploration, drilling, refining, and pipelines. And he may
00:28:39.960 still be profiting from these activities. We simply don't know. The companies mentioned are
00:28:46.620 just four of several conventional energy companies listed in his ethics disclosure released late last
00:28:52.240 week. Carney came under pressure after becoming liberal leader. And during the federal election
00:28:57.600 to release his investment holdings
00:28:59.100 to clear up any potential conflicts of interest.

00:30:48.580 and he must step out of the room anytime he talks about any official matters or decision-making
00:30:54.500 processes that could impact 103 companies or funds listed in his disclosure. That list includes
00:31:04.760 Brookfield Asset Management, where he was chair of the board, includes Stripe, the payment processing
00:31:09.260 firm, and more than 100 other companies. What does Pierre Polyeb have to say about this?

00:31:20.880 First of all, during the election campaign, Mr. Carney said, and I quote,
00:31:25.620 I own nothing but cash and personal real estate, and that's not going to change in public life.
00:31:31.240 Well, it turns out, while he said that, he knowingly owned 574 stocks
00:31:36.440 and deferred profits and stock options in Brookfield and other companies.
00:31:44.780 so it was patently and now provably false for him to say he owned nothing but cash and real estate
00:31:50.840 two my assets are now in a blind trust so i don't know what exactly is in there that too is false
00:31:59.460 he must have known what was in that blind trust because he was the one that filled out the
00:32:03.560 paperwork for the ethics commissioner to report those holdings so he knew exactly what was in
00:32:10.700 his blind trust, and he just did not want Canadians to know before they went to the
00:32:14.880 polls. Finally, he said, and I quote, I do not have a connection with Brookfield Asset
00:32:21.240 Management. Well, it turns out that he has continuing stock options and deferred share
00:32:25.960 units in Brookfield Asset Management, and these options cannot be sold, or at least
00:32:31.480 not easily, and we have no reason to believe they have been. So when he said that he had
00:32:36.320 no connection to Brookfield. He was stating a patent falsehood. Now, why should we care? Why
00:32:43.520 should Canadians care about this? Well, Mr. Carney has shown in the past his willingness to use his
00:32:48.500 political connections in order to profit himself. For example, he said, let me see here, he gave
00:32:57.360 public endorsement of Westinghouse in the leaders' debate. Westinghouse is a nuclear energy company
00:33:03.580 which Brookfield is invested in.
00:33:05.920 He has announced he's going to spend billions of dollars on modular homes.

00:40:12.300 of Durham. So I did. And the region said the same. And then they told me to call Durham
00:40:19.360 Regional Police Services again. So I did and suddenly they knew. That's when things got
00:40:27.120 political. They copied Mayor Kevin Ash on the reply. I didn't include him. I removed him in
00:40:32.900 the next response and they added him back in. Why? Because when you start pulling back the curtain
00:40:40.260 they tighten control. They say the cameras are passive not monitored live. They say facial
00:40:47.500 recognition isn't turned on, for now, and they say it's all about safety. But here's what they
00:40:54.860 didn't say. On June 20, 2023, a DRPS superintendent told me that the camera at a specific location,
00:41:03.660 which is Eltona and Kingston Road, had just been installed because of an attempted murder at
00:41:09.220 Pickering Bar. But there's one problem with that. The shooting didn't happen until after the fact,
00:41:16.740 which was June 25th, more than five days later. So either the justification was completely false
00:41:23.360 or they're rewriting history to retroactively justify surveillance already in place.
