00:07:52.460hi hi okay sorry i forgot to put myself on the screen you were there all by yourself for a
00:08:03.920couple of seconds it was and the funny thing is i wasn't even paying attention i was trying to
00:08:07.760share the show on twitter oh well you're you're sharing it on it only shares on two of your
00:08:13.540platforms so you've got it on facebook and youtube that's cool the bigger the audience the better and
00:08:17.860again guys don't forget to like and share how you doing nadine it's been too long good good yeah i
00:08:22.820was gonna share it on like just quote tweet it um i'm just gonna do that quick so you can get more
00:08:28.360views come join me would you like to sing while you're doing that because i know it takes
00:08:34.700concentration guys i've had careless whisper by wham in my head all day i have no idea where it
00:08:41.100came from and it's driving me crazy and worse still nadine heard me singing it she said hey
00:08:48.300you're good and you know what that's only going to encourage me to keep singing this song i need
00:08:54.420i need something else in there you've been making the rounds on social media lately hey
00:09:01.040yeah yeah more than social media it's all over mainstream media we no no we don't call it
00:09:08.340mainstream you know that what do we call it a left-wing corporate media okay left-wing
00:09:14.880corporate media that is key so anyway you've been everywhere but we we've we've done something
00:09:21.920different this time we got ahead of the narrative and we started publishing press release so the
00:09:30.240media is kind of forced to share our side this time oh and they can't look at this speaking about
00:09:35.760the press release here it is right here you said this to me just the other day we've done two so
00:09:41.220that was the last one okay so this is let me just center this unified grassroots condemns ndp's
00:09:48.060attempt to smear citizen-led movement unified grassroots strongly condemns the inflammatory
00:09:53.880and misleading statements made by the saskatchewan ndp ahead of their scheduled press conference
00:09:58.580this morning you did get ahead of it congratulations that's great which attempt to portray our
00:10:03.500organization as far right while they do that all the time and left-wing corporate media as well
00:10:08.620right and suggest hidden ties to political parties this is a desperate political tactic
00:10:14.600meant to discredit a democratic citizen-led movement that's grown in strength because
00:10:19.140the people of saskatchewan are tired of being ignored what exactly did the end i mean the
00:10:25.720ndp was talking about you personally in the legislature weren't they yeah for like 30 minutes
00:10:32.080It's so much so that the Speaker of the House had to stop them and said, we ask that people don't defame or talk negatively about people outside of this house who aren't here to be able to defend themselves.
00:10:47.200So he actually warned ahead of time because he kind of knew, I think, that that was going to be coming because they had already done the presser.
00:10:54.520And I was made aware of what the presser was going to be.
00:10:58.620I have some friends in media. So I already knew it was coming. That's why we released this
00:11:04.780just before I worked on it just before that morning. And they had used some wordings like
00:11:09.560far right fringe extremists, all of that. And I wanted to nip it in the bud. Because if we don't
00:11:16.560if we don't share our side, or basically show the public who we actually are, the the left
00:11:24.580leaning corporate media will do it for us. And they will do it with their own narrative. So
00:11:30.480they'll use quotes from NDP, and that'll be plastered far right organization leading
00:11:35.220position, things like that. So we wanted to get ahead of it. And we issued a press release. And
00:11:40.620what that does, it forces them to do balanced reporting when when us conservatives usually
00:11:46.060don't talk to them or don't do interviews or don't get ahead of the narrative. They they report what
00:11:52.680they want but when we do do that they're forced to share the quotes from our press release to
00:11:58.200to talk about the press release because if they don't then they're liable for not reporting
00:12:03.800fairly and we can actually file a complaint and it will go somewhere so this time we kind of
00:12:08.780we kind of played played the the the hand that the conservatives don't usually do and i think
00:12:15.180they should and it's actually something i learned from americans so how did you learn it like this
00:12:20.560watching fox news or what no no you had that big seminar last year that you went to right well there
00:12:27.520was that but we actually you actually did it in saskatchewan yes we did one in saskatchewan yeah
00:12:32.240and some came and i've also been taking some training from some of the the organizations
00:12:38.120down there just on on how to run an activist organization because obviously there's a lot
00:12:43.560more in the u.s that are conservative so we can learn a thing or two from them and uh yeah it's
00:12:49.660one of the things that they taught us don't don't wait till they define you define yourself first
00:12:54.200and that's what we've been doing and that's what we're going to keep doing why is the NDP
00:12:59.440so terrified of you at unified grassroots I think it's an obsession uh that's the only thing I can
00:13:07.960think of because like that you don't see them attack other citizens the way they attack me
00:13:12.520but every time they've attacked me it's it's actually turned around and worked against them
00:13:18.620and i don't think this one's going to be any different so um i don't know maybe because they
00:13:25.780see that they try to demonize me but it doesn't really work because i'm not i don't i'm not mean
00:13:32.840back i i am very calculated i'm very graceful i will offer them grace i'm i'm very compassionate
00:13:40.820in my approach and i i think that that and i'm a former lefty i know how they think and i think
00:13:48.600because i used to be one of them you know it's funny i i've every time that you've been on the
00:13:56.280show in the past i always say nadine you've got to get more teeth in your statements right
00:14:01.680and and and no that's what i've said and you've always maintained this this decorum and this
00:14:09.740fairness about you and i think that's working in your favor right now because you know as much as
00:14:15.720the NDP yell and scream about how you know fringe and and right wing like knuckle dragging that you
00:14:22.420and your organization are supposed to be that's you're not I mean look at you for goodness sakes
00:14:27.120and that's that's the thing right and I think that's why they're so afraid because conservatives
00:14:32.760there's several things conservatives will tend to go um more more that well the ones that usually
00:14:41.920rise, it will tend to go more aggressive. Like if you look at the U S and I'm not saying that
00:14:46.460that's not needed. It is also needed in Canada because it does move the needle, but where there
00:14:52.020was always a hole is like the, the people were trying to stay somewhat in the middle to try to
00:14:57.260bring the middle ground people a little bit more to the right, which is what my goal is. I'm not
00:15:02.480for the, the people who are fully aware of everything that's happening that there's other
00:15:07.920people for that i'm for the ones who are still brainwashed like i used to be and trying to get
00:15:13.020them out of that kind of that that never-ending head in the sand yeah they're definitely i mean
00:15:23.100the whole elbows up thing i want to talk to you about that because you've been studying
00:15:26.680all of this you just reminded me of it and i think that you'll probably have some pretty good
00:15:30.940insights on this how many people are now involved with unified grassroots in terms of membership
00:15:37.060not necessarily active members but people who are on your mailing list uh well mailing we've
00:15:42.920never done a mail out um email list then email list uh we probably have like 6 000 i would say
00:15:50.720email that we but but we haven't we haven't been um super well we did one last week but we hadn't
00:15:59.400been doing it just because the cost of the website was so expensive and we we didn't really have the
00:16:05.840funds but we weren't really asking for the funds either we to be honest that the fight constantly
00:16:12.080constantly constantly and I'm going to be completely blunt with you up until last week
00:16:18.140like people had become so complacent so we we did a training thing and we had great attendance and
00:16:24.940we're like we want to do another one in Saskatoon we'd like some donations to be able to to get it
00:16:30.140going. And we got nothing. So I'm like, okay, well, maybe you guys aren't that motivated for
00:16:36.960change. Maybe, maybe this things need to get worse before people are actually willing to put
00:16:42.540efforts towards that. So, and then we kind of decided, well, if we're not going to reach the
00:16:47.500people in that way, or train the people to be able to fight, maybe we need to change our avenue.
00:16:52.820And that's where we decided, okay, let's do a show. Because a lot of the problems we have
00:16:57.000are happening at the federal level but we're locally we're super successful school board
00:17:03.260we're super successful we we ran 30 and i say we as in it's not ug that ran them we just encouraged
00:17:09.820and had 30 run and then we sent them a bunch of volunteers to help out no financial donations this
00:17:16.560is another thing they're insinuating that we gave the money we don't have money to give anyone and
00:17:22.720we encouraged a lot of people to run a nomination to go vote nomination that was what our whole
00:17:27.260drive was with the town halls and we got 25 out of 30 school board trustees elected which is a
00:17:34.300huge number and but we never congratulations that's great that's great because we know what
00:17:39.900was happening at that level right yeah yeah and the thing is we we focus on the most activist
00:17:45.540problematic school board trustees as well so so a lot of them got booted out which is which is
00:17:52.140great but again we we we encourage people to run for city council so we have tons of people all
00:18:00.640over the province that got elected to city council whether it's reeve or mayor or or things like that
00:18:06.400and when i say our people i mean like freedom-minded people people who are aware to where0.92
00:18:11.900this country is going so when i it's funny because they were they were attacking one of the mlas
00:18:19.300because i said in a podcast he's one of us and uh he's he's a freedom loving guy and who who would
00:18:26.420have think that's like a negative thing but that's right you know it's crazy how that narrative has
00:18:32.640shifted you know and the same thing with elbows up you know that everybody was so proud to be a
00:18:37.220canadian for a couple of months during the election campaign but you know three years ago in ottawa you
00:18:42.820couldn't fly the american or the canadian flag because it was a symbol of hate like come on
00:18:48.360already right and even elbows up is so insane that's something you don't want done in hockey
00:18:53.800that's actually a negative thing that you would never cheer for yeah and not just that it's super
00:18:59.800dangerous like yeah um but but it just goes to show it doesn't matter right they'll follow that
00:19:06.040brainwashed narrative but yeah so we we kind of went a bit dormant and then the election happened
00:19:12.860I guess we we didn't I didn't I still was doing a show I was doing a show every day and child care
00:19:19.220issues kind of arose so it slowed down a bit it's twice a week now but that was growing like we're
00:19:25.860getting 10 to 15,000 views per episode so for Saskatchewan that's pretty pretty decent and
00:19:33.360And then the election happened, and I got really, really discouraged, not with the Conservative Party or anything the Conservative did.
00:19:45.800I got really discouraged with the Canadian voter.
00:19:49.300After 10 years of what we've had, and Carney's no different than Trudeau, I realized, okay, we're going downhill, and we're going downhill fast.
00:20:00.500what's the best way to protect my family from this and that's kind of my husband's like we
00:20:06.100need to either move or or work towards getting saskatchewan out of canada so before we go to
00:20:13.340of moving we're like okay let's fight let's fight for a province and we pulled we pulled the
00:20:22.220membership and the numbers were shocking the membership of like unified grassroots 66%
00:20:30.420wanted to separate and join the US which is way higher than I thought 24% wanted to
00:20:37.460to separate and form its own country and then 8% wanted to stay and I know there's a 2% missing in
00:20:44.700there is because people kept adding options and we just wanted to know of those three what is it
00:20:50.320so we kept deleting them but and then we realized okay if 90 want to separate then maybe we need to
00:20:58.720move this move on this as an organization so and alberta was moving on it and i wasn't seeing much
00:21:05.500from saskatchewan and really there's other than other political parties like the buffalo or maybe
00:21:11.260sask united if they had moved on this it would have just caused more splitting the vote and when
00:21:16.520in reality we just need this movement to be non-partisan let's work with what we've got
00:21:22.080and and go in that direction so so yeah we we decided to go ahead with it and i say in that
00:21:32.540in that way because i'm just realizing you and your husband just sitting there going we got it
00:21:36.860you got to do something and then you you just made that decision right there at the spur of
00:21:40.240the moment like what a week and a half ago he he was saying it and then i went to my board and i
00:21:46.760said where are you guys at on this and every single board member is like is what we need to do
00:21:52.160so so it wasn't even like a question with there wasn't even one board member that was like oh
00:21:58.000maybe so so then we're like okay well it's going to be a lot of work are you guys willing to put
00:22:03.540in more work like we're going to need to restructure the way we've been doing because i
00:22:07.900can't do it all so so we had a big meeting when doing that so we're delegating a lot of stuff
00:22:15.660we're gonna try to get a lot of volunteers to help this time like actually organize volunteers to
00:22:20.960help and we um I reached out to a few people before I went ahead like some of the people
00:22:26.980that have been talking about separation Alberta Prosperity Project as well because I wanted to
00:22:32.580know has anyone been in touch with them before we move ahead we didn't want to step on anyone's
00:22:37.200toes and so far they said they had heard nothing from Saskatchewan when I explained who we were
00:22:41.480they're like oh you're perfect to do this you already have the structure of the people
00:22:45.300and and then I reached out to Preston Manning so I had a chat with him this was before we decided
00:22:52.060to go ahead with it and and a few key people that I know that who've been in politics that I
00:22:57.380trust their judgment and after doing that praying about it we decided okay yeah it's it's going to
00:23:04.420be tough it's going to be hard but someone's got to do it and that's why i might sound like a bit
00:23:10.140discouraged no you don't sound that way at all you sound like you're you're in the mode maybe
00:23:16.500a little trepidatious because this is a big job and you've got a lot of people to reach coming1.00
00:23:23.620soon and you're also i mean i know that you've been a target in the past mostly from ndp types
00:23:30.580and and lefty types just like all of us independent media have but you know i had keith wilson on the
00:23:37.500other night from i think i told you this from uh from alberta from edmonton and he's he's right in
00:23:44.900the the middle of all of the alberta sovereignty stuff and you know he we had this discussion about
00:23:51.660how hard they are going to come after people like you and the alberta prosperity project
00:36:58.800Well, I mean, you and the organization and the people.
00:37:01.460And so, you know, you got to get in their heads and say to them, look, if you guys don't at least start to listen and possibly come up with some solutions for this, then you're going to be in a world of hurt when the next election will turn.
00:37:17.620I don't need to say it. They already know.
00:51:57.880Like when he did his whole McDonald's restaurant thing, that's what they talked about.0.85
00:52:02.920When Biden called MAGA supporters trash, Donald Trump shows up in a garbage truck with like a garbage vest and he did a speech and it was the funniest thing I've ever seen.
00:52:16.540And he was like charming and charismatic in his speech and people saw like the fun side of him.0.86
00:52:23.280Like conservatives need to figure out how they can use this obsession to smear and twist the narrative to their advantage.
00:52:32.920and but they're so afraid they're so afraid and they won't they won't do that but the left does
00:52:39.340that like look look they they did um the video with uh mike myers which that kind of backfired
00:52:45.960hard well the last couple of days it did i mean he's been named in the uh in the diddy trial yeah
00:52:53.700yeah but that thing that that stuff works but you don't see conservatives doing that kind of stuff
00:53:00.640And you know why? Because every conservatives that have risen up, they've distanced themselves
00:53:07.200from like every conservative voice. They'll be like, we can't touch that. We can't every
00:53:12.960conservative organization. Oh, we can't we can't touch that. And those conservative organization
00:53:18.460never really grow into influencing or growing big enough that the public is like, OK, yeah,
00:53:25.080join that uh pierre is going to speak at their event the only person who has i would say is
00:53:31.000daniel smith and and the the us they team up with these because these are the boots on the ground
00:53:37.560that will knock on the doors that you can't knock you know what's interesting is um how controlled
00:53:44.360the conservative campaign was i got kicked out of the polyev rally in winnipeg as a known yeah
00:53:52.060as a known agitator. And I was just standing there with my hands in my pockets, minding my
00:53:56.700own business, waiting for my buddy to come out of the can. And a couple of security guys came out,
00:54:02.440you're a no, they dragged me to the back and they called me a known agitator.
00:54:05.780This was after I had talked to everybody standing in line to get into this rally on,
00:54:12.600on my page, on the show. It was seen 70,000 times that video. And you know what other video
00:54:21.020was seen even more than that was the video i did 10 minutes later when i said they kicked me out
00:54:26.320for being a known agitator that is the problem like they're trying and ironically during that
00:54:33.120particular rally there was a couple of actual known agitators in there calling pierre names
00:54:37.560and they had to kick those two out but that's nothing i would have ever done i was there
00:54:42.700they're covering it as as a journalist and so i was i was shocked by that there is video that
00:54:48.980right blend is taken uh last couple of days in ottawa he's our buddy out there and so the
00:54:56.240conservatives had this caucus meeting uh tuesday i think it was and so larry brock's walking out
00:55:01.500jamil giovanni uh roman babber and pierre himself and they all just kept walking they wouldn't stop
00:55:08.040and they wouldn't talk to the media they just put their heads down and put up these fake smiles and
00:55:14.460thumbs up and why don't they stop and engage do they not understand the impact that the
00:55:23.620independent media is having or is it just cowardice like you said earlier
00:55:27.360i think it's bad advice advice if i'm honest and i i don't think things are going to change until
