00:04:00.000 Hello, everybody. Welcome to Shadow at Night.
00:04:11.620 This is Monday, May the 12th, 2025.

00:04:20.580 Well, close to Edgewood, British Columbia.
00:04:22.140 We're going to get an update as to exactly what the heck has been going on out there for the past couple of months.
00:04:26.920 It's been a couple of months since she's been on the show.
00:04:29.380 And they're expecting a court ruling that could have come out today, might come out tomorrow, maybe Wednesday, early this week.
00:04:37.640 So we're going to get an update on everything that's been going on out there.
00:04:41.400 And hopefully we'll find out later on today or maybe tomorrow that the ostriches, in fact, get to live.
00:04:48.200 For goodness sakes, there's 400 of them. 1.00
00:04:50.420 CFIA wants to cull slash kill them all. 0.99

00:06:38.160 like and share get this out to as many people as you possibly can this is incredibly important
00:06:42.920 information we're going to be providing you tonight this is something that happened at
00:06:47.040 universal ostrich farm earlier today as posted by our buddy jim kerr on facebook let's have a look
00:06:53.840 so ladies and gentlemen if you're waiting to see what happened here this is uh ongoing complaints
00:07:14.460 from a neighbor who has started all this basically uh phoned the cfia and done a whole bunch of
00:07:18.820 things and now what's happening is that uh because we are putting scopes out at the ends of the
00:07:23.760 street and making sure that we've got cars there with people in them um she's now calling the cops
00:07:28.300 on the people that are parked in their cars she's saying the cars are parked they're not um because
00:07:33.280 there's people in them but uh yeah now the cops are coming out this guy here uh is an rcmp officer
00:07:38.800 who has uh he's been out here many many times even before i got here uh they have a good
00:07:43.760 relationship with the guy. The guy seems okay and all that, but he's still wearing a fricking
00:07:47.380 sidearm and there's not supposed to be any, any, uh, weapons on the property. So, uh, you know,
00:07:51.960 that's, that's concerning me, but I'm not the boss here. I'm just reporting on it. Uh, the family
00:07:56.660 knows what they want to do and I'm going to, I'm going to just support them in whatever it is that
00:07:59.980 they choose to do. Uh, so anyway, we're waiting for a judgment supposed to come out today. Well,
00:08:05.460 early this week is what the judge said. Uh, so we're, we were refreshing the thing and seeing
00:08:10.420 if it's going to happen today uh tomorrow if it's if it's wednesday then it'll be midweek but they
00:08:15.500 said early this week so we're expecting it's going to happen today or tomorrow um where we're going
00:08:20.180 to get some kind of judgment and uh yeah that's where we're at uh all right there's jim he's been
00:08:28.100 doing a great job out there keeping everybody aware of what's going on at universal ostrich
00:08:32.040 farm katie pasitni joins the show in exactly 30 seconds we'll be right back
00:08:40.420 Hello, Katie.
00:09:09.120 Welcome to the show.
00:09:09.940 Welcome back. Good to have you. Yeah. Hi. Feels like forever. Feels like we're friends. I've only
00:09:14.780 met you once. I know, right? It's been a couple of months. Well, actually, when did you get that
00:09:20.100 court ruling anyway? Was that beginning of February, mid-February? January 31st, right
00:09:25.020 before our February 1st call date. Okay. Right at the hair, the skinny skin, skin we squeezed in
00:09:31.720 there. Crazy. But what's been going on since then? Now, could you take us through that video 0.99
00:09:37.520 that Jim posted a little earlier today
00:09:40.020 because there's a lot of people
00:09:41.560 who are unaware of exactly the day-to-day
00:09:43.980 that's been happening at the ostrich farm
00:09:46.200 for the past couple of months.
00:09:47.940 Has it ever been lots of anxiety
00:09:50.720 and a lot of concern and worry
00:09:52.340 because we're all trying to protect natural immunity.
00:09:54.780 It's a thing.
00:09:55.820 Our ostriches are absolutely happy and healthy.
00:09:58.960 We are 118 days healthy, happy herd immunity animals
00:10:05.000 that are doing absolutely great.
00:10:07.520 laying eggs dancing in the sunshine we're 132 days under quarantine so we're like we're moving
00:10:15.160 into five months here um and uh that video you're wait a minute you're still under quarantine after
00:10:22.820 all this time with without any sickness or death you know what shadow we are still being threatened
00:10:27.540 six months in jail if we retest our own animals with the proper testing which is not the controversial
00:10:34.460 you know, PCR testing. So we just want the chance to prove to the public in the world that we're
00:10:39.460 not shedding the virus and we are not a risk. And we're still being threatened that after this many
00:10:45.480 days. Now, CFIA can impose that on you without any judicial prudence, correct? Yes. Yeah. Can,
00:10:53.600 can a judge remove that at all? Have you, have you had, I mean, I'm unclear as to what you guys
00:11:00.180 have been fighting you know in the court for a while now yeah so let's go back to our april 15th
00:11:05.320 16th judicial review and we were fighting two things that was our december 31st call date
00:11:10.800 uh we were battling that saying it was undue and unjust and for the purposes and reasons why
00:11:16.280 and we were battling the exemption package which was extremely misleading and inappropriate for
00:11:23.140 our farm and they gave us an exemption package which was an exemption package based on a
00:11:29.400 commercial poultry facility which we are not it was based for a food consumption commercial
00:11:36.260 poultry facility which we are not as well as we very very outright told them we cannot answer
00:11:43.760 these questions appropriately because we are not this exemption package but they told us that if
00:11:49.260 we didn't answer that exemption package properly then we were in we already failed so we were
00:11:56.240 fighting those two things on the judicial review of April 15th and 16th. And then that's what
00:12:03.200 the verdict that we're awaiting was for a judge that they, we had Justice Batista at the very
00:12:08.480 beginning. That's when I had met you. And Justice Batista, he gave us that ruling of injunction in
00:12:16.720 a state order, because he saw that this was going to cause irreparable harm and damage to two
00:12:22.840 livelihoods that they kind of picked through their own policy and decided what they wanted to use
00:12:28.140 which was the stamping out approach they didn't approach us with vaccinations they didn't they
00:12:34.700 didn't approach us with the monitoring or burning out which is the burning out approach on our farms
00:12:41.600 is only used when they're understaffed so when they're understaffed we can use the appropriate
00:12:46.640 method which is allowing a virus to go through its course right and you have yours and you have
00:12:53.200 your survivors but that's only when they're understaffed which is a little bit alarming
00:12:56.860 so they still after all this time they still want to come in there and and mow all the birds down
00:13:03.620 and have you had any con like this all sounds very bureaucratic to me it all it all sounds to
00:13:12.260 me like they're just following whatever ridiculous rules they have in place and they're not considering
00:13:18.400 any other options and they're not looking at the humanity of the situation no have you
00:13:23.880 i'm sorry go ahead go ahead there's a few sorry shadow there's a so uh let's just paint a picture
00:13:30.640 that said 2001 so this stamping out approach was first initiated 2001 and we haven't looked back
00:13:38.240 at the stamping out approach so the stamping powder approach is one size does not fit all
00:13:43.980 we are eradicating our farmers we're putting our agricultural industry at risk
00:13:48.880 our agriculture our farmers are giving up and not because they're they're weak because they're
00:13:54.360 tired who wants to have their animals called repopulate called repopulate because as long
00:14:02.380 as there's migratory birds in the world we are never going to be avian influenza free
00:14:07.040 so our birds are still exposed to and our animals are exposed to migratory birds um and then these
00:14:13.980 farmers are finally just saying you know what i'm 57 65 i'm i don't want to do this anymore
00:14:21.140 so we're losing our farmers which is our food security and the hard-working backbone of canada
00:14:27.340 that has provided us nutritional food supply for decades and we're attacking them rather than using
00:14:33.780 these organizations like the canadian food inspection agency which our taxpayer dollars
00:14:37.720 pay for and we are not using these organizations to support our farmers come up with better
00:14:43.440 techniques protect the survivors give these uh farmers just like ourselves resources to heal
00:14:51.080 that you know okay you have an infected site let's test let's do a control group study which is
00:14:56.020 probably better let's use appropriate testing which is probably better than a pcr test
00:15:01.360 and let's protect your farm we're killing off genetic diversity and we're losing natural
00:15:06.800 immunity which will have a catastrophic impact on humanity will the judge take into account
00:15:14.060 that how many days has it been again so yeah 118 days no no deaths uh symptomatic animals we have
00:15:22.820 our herd immunity which herd immunity doesn't exist anymore right but when covet 19 was happening
00:15:28.980 community immunity was a thing but yeah and uh 132 days under quarantine so 132 days under
00:15:38.560 quarantine 118 days since any kind of incident whatsoever is that do you think the judge is
00:15:43.400 going to take that into account how how did your your case go were you able to argue that
00:15:48.140 i mean and every day that passes you know he should be a good thing in your case so let's
00:15:55.240 look, I didn't answer that question. I think you had a question for me about the judge because
00:15:59.120 so Justice Batista, who ruled in favor of us to give us the injunction, they attacked him right
00:16:05.260 away with he erred in law, he erred in principle, and he overstepped his jurisdiction as a federal
00:16:12.100 court judge. He got removed. We got a case management team put on us. And for our judicial
00:16:19.300 review in um wait wait wait wait hold on what do you mean a case management team like from cfia
00:16:24.740 or just an independent case department of justice department of justice representing
00:16:31.200 canadian food inspection agency and then we we had um a judge flown in for our judicial review
00:16:39.420 to vancouver from ottawa so they flew in a judge from ottawa to see our case and again i have hope
00:16:47.580 Like, you know, I, I wake up every morning with hope in my heart that the right thing
00:16:52.140 and the people that are going to be put in the place to make change for all of us, but
00:16:56.160 he got flown in from Ottawa and he heard our case.
00:16:58.500 We were, we were granted, we were going to do 50, 50 time a lot to be heard.
00:17:03.260 We got 25% of the time and they took 75% of the time.
00:17:09.020 Wouldn't they have added an extra day to the, to the case then?
00:17:12.260 They wouldn't.
00:17:13.900 Yeah.
00:17:14.680 No, they wouldn't.
00:17:15.240 So, again, let's just go back to, you know, I hope, let's hope, let's hope for public that, but that adds into the anxiety, obviously, that we're feeling at the farm from the video that you've seen tonight.
00:17:27.180 Yeah, video of RCMP show up, we're all on edge, because we're trying to protect what's right. And then we're in this weird, unique situation where we're like, I've seen it over and over again, when the UK and different situations where they just go and they lock out the gates and they lock out the farmers,
00:17:44.400 and you lose all rights to be in there with your animals and protect them and as you know i'm sure
00:17:49.380 shadow you're a smart man that canadian or and all agricultural farmers are the experts in their
00:17:56.460 industry so we're an experts we're an expert in ostrich there's experts all over the world in
00:18:02.160 cattle there's experts in chickens and poultry we are not consulting with our true experts
00:18:08.380 we are allowing organizations like canadian food inspection agency to make these decisions for us
00:18:13.780 And it's going to be a real, if we don't look into the future and they're not looking into the future, we have, we're going to make one of the biggest mistakes since COVID-19.
00:18:24.600 You've mentioned on several social media posts in the past couple of months about farmers in general, not just the ostrich farm, but definitely farmers.
00:18:34.240 We're talking about cattle farmers.
00:18:35.720 We're talking about pigs and sheep and whatever farmers we happen to have out there who are raising livestock of any kind.
00:18:43.780 have you managed to consult with any of these other folks and are they going through the same
00:18:49.560 kinds of things yeah i don't we don't even have to go look for them they're finding us now they're
00:18:55.020 scared they know not they they are scared of the organization that they're supposed to be
00:18:59.740 consulting with regarding uh infectious disease because they know that if they have they know we
00:19:05.680 know as experts you know you isolate the sick you dispose of the dead properly you you heal them
00:19:12.940 and then you have herd immunity your younger are going to be healthier because you have mamas and
00:19:17.860 and mamas are mamas that have herd immunity are going to develop that immunity gets passed into
00:19:22.960 your young but we're eradicating everything and that's really scary because if we don't look into
00:19:29.680 the future and we don't see that our diverse uh genetic diversity is being lost that we're big
00:19:37.080 pharma is going to win, right? Because if we everything gets killed, and animals outside pose
00:19:43.400 a threat, because we're not the migratory birds are allowed to keep surviving without there's
00:19:48.300 being a middle ground. We have we have one side, which is Canadian Food Inspection Agency, one
00:19:54.800 side, which is the wildlife, there's nothing in the middle, even though the wildlife is what's
00:20:01.160 disinfecting our farmers so um we need something down the middle and but farmers are finding us
00:20:07.540 they're scared we're trying to create an association united farmers association
00:20:11.940 trying to give a safe place for people to fall back on um they're we're educating them with policy
00:20:19.020 we are educating them on start testing your animals keep a log like if you don't want to
00:20:25.100 call them all when can you know do it before canadian food inspection agency shows up at your
00:20:29.000 door have all your own results how have all of that before they threaten you six months in jail
00:20:33.840 how many how many other farmers have been harassed by cfia that you know of many oh my gosh it's
00:20:41.560 across canada and across the states is who we're getting contacted by and i'm not going to name
00:20:46.660 names because i know that they're scared but it is multiple and people this should alarm people
00:20:53.440 we had one farmer and this is how they work they um i asked him so he had uh like 70 000
00:21:01.440 animals killed and i said do you have your results i said do you do you have your lab results no
00:21:08.220 do you have you been paid out compensation nope about all of his animals are gone and so i was
00:21:16.580 like okay can we get your lab results ask the canadian food inspection agency for your lab
00:21:21.500 results so the farmers are doing this because they're trusting these organizations that they
00:21:26.220 have to but they they eradicated they killed all their own their animals without even knowing
00:21:32.340 seeing seeing proof that their animals had something but let's go backwards again you don't
00:21:40.560 need um you don't need a test to they don't need a test to kill all your animals it's all based they
00:21:47.760 can come on based on suspicion to your property, kill all your animals and you have nothing to do 0.94
00:21:53.940 about it. You can't do anything. You know, it's interesting. I, I sent Katie a little story
00:22:00.160 earlier today on messenger. And I noticed this last night and I was going to post a video about
00:22:05.600 it, but I thought, Nope, I'm going to wait until tonight when Katie comes on the show, but I live
00:22:10.900 by a creek and there's a walking path next to this creek and in this creek and just outside of this
00:22:18.260 creek there are not going to say hundreds but definitely dozens of wild geese who made a home
00:22:25.060 there and they interact with humans on a regular basis they're walking the path humans are walking
00:22:31.720 the path riding their bikes down there you get real close to these geese now how are we to know
00:22:39.060 that these geese aren't carrying the dreaded h5n1 avion flu right how how does cfia not know that
00:22:48.140 well we we would have seen a dead bird we would have had it reported somebody would have spotted
00:22:53.000 well you want to know what this is an area where you might not see that a lot of high bull rushes
00:22:58.340 very long creek a lot of deserted areas so where are they with their shotguns getting rid of all
00:23:04.980 these geese from human contact right i mean it just seems so arbitrary and that makes me think
00:23:10.060 this is this is a very disingenuous enterprise that these people are are uh doing with you know
00:23:16.860 universal ostrich farm because they're adamant they are adamant that your farm and the ostriches
00:23:23.700 pose a risk even though everything is clear and there's no bird flu pandemic anyhow and just
00:23:30.120 remember they're not retesting they haven't been here since february 26th um they're not retesting
00:23:35.620 our animals they have never done a water sample they've never done a earth like environmental
00:23:41.020 soil sample we are going off two controversial pcr tests ran over 30 i'm going to just say over
00:23:48.780 35 to be because i know that that's for sure but over 35 cycles the farmer which means it could be
00:23:55.320 anything over 35 cycles and we learned that you're in covet didn't we the farmer the farmer that i
00:24:00.840 said that he didn't even have his lab results yet it was pcr tests it it is the same thing every time
00:24:07.080 pcr tests ran at 39 cycles um and then they and then they killed all those animals so then we're
00:24:14.260 so like where does this stop where does the you know and education and awareness we're just trying
00:24:20.500 to just educate people uh we've wanted to work with canadian food inspection agency from day one
00:24:25.960 offering them our h5n1 antibodies and a solution to bridging the wildlife and the you know on our
00:24:32.060 livestock came up with solutions and saying let's use our antibodies to use fogging stations or
00:24:37.360 eating stations for migratory birds to start treating the migratory birds that are the true
00:24:42.040 spreaders of the disease or the virus um it's all fallen on deaf ears it is extremely concerning we
00:24:49.380 are again just reminding your audience we are uh isolated due to our geographical religion or
00:24:56.340 region all in ourselves so we're 135 kilometers away from a major city uh we do we're flightless
00:25:03.720 we're under quarantine and the appropriate people are going in and handling these animals
00:25:08.900 another really cool tip is that i don't think i've been yet since i was on last time we've all
00:25:15.640 had our blood tested just like me and i'm not i'm not in with them we went we're not under
00:25:21.020 quarantine it was quite the sight shadow it was pretty funny we're sitting at the table and we're
00:25:25.480 taking our blood or we're sending it to lab a scientist and i came back positive for our strain
00:25:34.120 of h5n1 of exposure antibodies so we have antibodies none of us have ever we have not
00:25:40.160 fallen ill we're not sick but we need to start dispelling the fear mongering dispel the myth
00:25:45.800 of the fear mongering because people get hospitalized all the time from just the the
00:25:50.740 regular flu right it's compromised people who are and so i um i just it's we need to dispel
00:25:59.020 the fear mongering i'm not going to say that nobody will get hospitalized from h5n1 there
00:26:03.360 will for sure somebody's going to but for the most part i think we need to start putting science
00:26:09.920 forward the truth has to come forward taking our farm as a living laboratory that we are
00:26:15.200 protecting all other farms out there and our food security it's super important to us
00:26:20.920 it's not a one-size-fits-all stamping out approach does not work for everybody we are
00:26:28.200 we're on our way for a road to destruction we did make it to legislature yes i want to talk to you
00:26:34.920 about that and also what happened last week regarding the dump in uh edgewater around but
00:26:40.520 i know right it doesn't sound like cfia is is doing this for the public good it sounds more 0.53
00:26:49.200 like they're doing it to show you who's boss and because you had the balls to stand up and say no
00:26:55.660 that's wrong they are absolutely trying to make an example that's exactly what this is i mean 0.98
00:27:02.100 you would have to be a moron not to see it any other way because there is no danger emanating 0.92
00:27:08.080 from universal ostrich farm so but before we talk about your trip to the ledge and and i know that 0.98
00:27:14.320 that was a very positive thing what exactly happened with with the dump in edgewood like
00:27:20.420 were they contracted by cfia yeah so as you know we've our support has grown so immensely because
00:27:27.920 people are starting to really understand that we're not save the ostriches only i mean some
00:27:33.140 people in the beginning started it off with it's their pets and it's this and yeah 400 pets right
00:27:39.000 yeah yeah i mean um but um we've so yeah it's been you know well 30 years here with some of
00:27:48.080 these animals but um so we have an amazing support network we have ears on the ground and eyes on the
00:27:55.640 sky we have everybody just really caring about what we're standing up for we had a lady come
00:28:00.640 and uh she was fantastic she came and said you know what i have to tell you this is what i found
00:28:07.440 out um she was shaken she was sad she she knows it's wrong but a contract udachina uh landfill
00:28:16.720 received a contract um they they got the contract for for our burial site for all of our ostrich
00:28:23.800 carcasses you know as well as i know that even the environmental impact that that would have
00:28:29.580 this is not even allowed hazardous waste on our highways biohazardous waste being just buried
00:28:35.380 and you know for for animals to forage on or dig up there are not we're not consulting with our
00:28:40.780 communities or our people or the people around these landfills um that has been there's been
00:28:46.760 it's been some people are saying yes you know employees yes we got this and then some are like
00:28:52.860 don't want to talk at all and they don't want to go on camera um you can just tell them also
00:28:57.240 there's that almost an element of fear from their position but you remember too these workers these
00:29:02.520 these people who are just going there every day to do their job now are being put at risk
00:29:05.960 right if we're spreading or we're driving around some awful crazy virus that has uh potential to
00:29:12.840 do such great harm i mean why are we putting our landfill workers that have no idea how to handle
00:29:18.360 this at risk because it's not about the virus and just just that would be another great piece of
00:29:26.640 evidence for a case if you were able to go back and argue it again right so so you do have that
00:29:34.260 confirmed that that actually happened right cfia contracted the yeah wow okay then you think about
00:29:41.120 it you're like how the arrogance then you think about hey the arrogance and that too we don't
00:29:46.420 have a verdict so the arrogance that we're spending taxpayer dollars we're spending you
00:29:52.460 know money to pre pre-prepare for something that hasn't even happened yet it's complete
00:29:57.740 it's ignorance yeah like it i'm just trying to to piece this together logistically here so
00:30:04.620 so 400 ostriches and and i'm not sure if you guys watching this understand how big ostriches can be
00:30:12.420 not all of them are are big but i mean just the picture that i used as a thumbnail tonight you
00:30:17.160 and the ostriches how tall are you katie i'm five three okay you're five three the ostriches what
00:30:22.960 one of their heads was a good foot above yours they can be yeah extremely tall but you know
00:30:27.700 what another thing so yeah think about their 300 pound animals they're so imagine if you had
00:30:33.020 almost 400 300 pound animals piled in a dead pile and these all got to go to a landfill
00:30:39.860 so how is that like how is that how is that going to work first of all i mean like are like do you
00:30:44.960 have any clue as to how cfia was planning on coming in and murdering all these birds were
00:30:49.880 they just going to shoot them or well there's been there's been leaked audio from the from the
00:30:55.680 landfill or not from the landfills right there's been leaked audio from um the canadian food
00:31:00.100 inspection agency that they were going to yeah possibly put square bales in the middle of our
00:31:05.740 field and shoot them and one of their visits they outright asked us if you were to humanely kill
00:31:12.420 your animals how would you do it and we're like yeah we're gonna tell you yeah well first of all 0.99
00:31:18.540 let me think about that one right like really honest to god why would you ever think about
00:31:23.040 that anyhow but then you know 400 300 pound animals what are they going to do take them in
00:31:28.380 the in the back of a transport i think it works out to 46 tons of animal waste that we dumping at
00:31:36.300 udachina landfill uh you're right that's a biohazard as well it's a biohazard and i think
00:31:43.740 i found out too and i i you know i always like to be factual so i but it has come down from the
00:31:50.280 landfills that are dck that they can start accepting um poultry carcasses so i don't know
00:31:59.620 where where it became an okay thing i mean we've had a law for a long time when you're hunting you
00:32:04.820 can't bring hunting animal waste to landfills there's there's a strict thing about this with
00:32:09.940 the spinal fluid with the with certain things i do know and i don't know where where that just
00:32:15.700 all get through got thrown out the wayside but that is happening as well and we need to dig up
00:32:20.300 more concrete information about that so if anybody on your show knows anything about the rdck landbills
00:32:26.280 and uh their bosses and the regulations that have been changed please reach out to us because
00:32:31.280 the public has to know it's a public health safety risk if this is truly happening and we
00:32:36.340 have biohazard waste being dug around our communities water and environmental you know
00:32:41.420 animals this is it's a big concern for all of us this is supposed to be about the public health
00:32:46.720 this is ridiculous i mean i'm sorry to laugh in such a serious and strenuous situation but
00:32:54.080 come on i mean it's absolutely ridiculous you know what we're laughing we laugh a lot and so
00:33:01.000 many people will be like how are you laughing and we're like it doesn't make sense like nothing
00:33:07.140 makes sense here how can you you could cry every day or you could just laugh because yeah we're
00:33:13.480 living in this topsy-turvy world you i've also seen video of many trucks many campers parked
00:33:20.320 around the farm you still have that crew of folks there daily yeah we do we have an amazing it's
00:33:26.820 like our ostrich family they come some people come they go some people have given up their work
00:33:31.560 they're everything they're like no we're staying um we do want more people here though please
00:33:37.300 especially through the time we're going in into um if i out about your audience anybody that wants
00:33:43.580 to come to 301 land jill road l-a-n-g-i-l-l-e road and wants to come and support us even if it's a day
00:33:53.260 where you want to camp up and you want to just come and be self-sufficient uh it would be
00:33:58.340 fantastic peaceful loving kind we're so quiet we have a fire we feed everybody feeds each other
00:34:06.640 food and takes care of one another we have a really really big opportunity to create
00:34:13.360 amazing change and opportunity in such a shitty time sorry
00:34:17.640 i was such a farm girl i understand completely uh so you you've got this is a horrible language
00:34:29.540 um i apologize oh the folks around there do they all have jobs are you giving them all jobs like
00:34:35.860 just walk the perimeter make sure there's no cd uh shadow so you didn't you didn't hear this either
00:34:42.740 we had um we had one of our hens in the middle of the night uh shot in the head with a 22 in
00:34:49.560 execution style she was sleeping she was 12 years old big beautiful hen 300 pounds and somebody came
00:34:56.660 out in the middle of the night and shot her so ever since then um we have an amazing team here
00:35:02.420 of family now that uh we do night watch they sit up all night we take different corners of the road
00:35:09.240 and we just watch we've caught um a bunch of group of younger teenagers coming down with
00:35:15.020 headlamps the road caught them there was some gentleman or person in their car came down 0.94
00:35:19.680 revving their engine up and down our road caught you know just we're stopping this ridiculous crazy
00:35:25.940 behavior in a time when we are trying to fight for food and research that can help like protect
00:35:32.340 your food yeah so i know what small towns can be like uh people talk yeah does anybody know
00:35:41.140 who might have been the one who shot the hen no there's an ongoing resolution but nobody is
00:35:49.080 talking about it that you've heard so far at least in town in edgewood i mean how many people live
00:35:53.560 in edgewood i think last time i checked on google 600 600 so yeah so this is like people everybody
00:36:00.200 knows everybody somebody knows what's happened all you got to do is probably walk into the local
00:36:05.080 bar one night and the guy will be bragging about it after too many beers or whiskeys
00:36:09.020 we don't have a local bar we're so small there's no local bar there's got to be some local gathering
00:36:16.380 spot somewhere where there's the guy with the rifle is probably going i'm the one that shot
00:36:22.140 the ostrich right because that's just he wants to be a hero the ostrich farm has become the spot
00:36:28.140 which is good the gathering spot yeah so you have all kinds of local support but there are a few
00:36:35.340 dangerous types out there still i'm going to assume yeah yeah yeah yeah it is you know we just
00:36:41.880 um we've been blessed with such a great core of people here but there's a lot of people who are
00:36:46.920 just unpredictable and it's you know what it's lack of education they're going against the
00:36:52.740 fear-mongering they're listening to people's gossip or whatever it is but if they actually
00:36:56.920 understood and if you have a question call us call us at the farm email us at the farm and we
00:37:03.940 will dispel your myths we'll help you we'll get we'll help educate you because you know we've um
00:37:10.680 yeah we haven't made it this far by by being silly where we know we know what we're doing
00:37:16.640 and we're trying to do it right and we're trying to go about it by the law and but right now i
00:37:21.880 think education is is preparedness for sure how's your mom doing she's tired we're all we're all
00:37:28.600 tired but um the cool thing about us i mean we're a family that has always grown up we love hard we
00:37:34.720 fight hard uh we've grown up with fire on the farm for our whole life so we this time you're
00:37:42.200 kind of almost running off adrenaline because every day you wake up your feet hit the ground
00:37:46.800 you don't know what's going to happen and um it's like playing the biggest came a chess we've ever
00:37:52.180 made or or played you know you don't know what strategic move you need to make the next day
00:37:57.160 who's making the next move what's happening um so that given that i think by the when this is
00:38:03.820 all said and done with which will if i'll get in but it's not going to be done but if the if the
00:38:09.980 ostriches are safe for a substantial amount of time i think i could see us really needing a letdown
00:38:15.780 no kidding um this has gotten worldwide katie and i know that you know that i'm happy about it and i
00:38:25.660 thank you and i thank everybody because it it is a global problem rfk jr even talked about it i
00:38:32.220 believe and it's been on a lot of the uh the the american online media i think it's even made it to
00:38:38.200 europe i think jim ferguson on freedom train international was talking about it so yeah you
00:38:43.600 are getting the word out because i believe that the same kinds of things are happening to other
00:38:48.100 farmers in different parts of the world and so because it was getting noise and not just from
00:38:54.460 the left-wing corporate media and even the left-wing corporate media obviously is is going
00:38:59.020 to paint a different picture completely than what we're talking about here uh it's made its way to
00:39:04.320 the bc legislature and you do have a few mlas who are taking up your part how was your trip out there
00:39:10.260 and it must have been like i'm thinking okay so you're in edgewood that's what like a six hour
00:39:14.020 drive to get to vancouver just to get to the ferry and then you got to get on the ferry and go to
00:39:19.300 victoria like that that's a long day for you we booked her actually no when we didn't drive we
00:39:24.500 flew i was so we drove to colona um barely missed her we almost missed her flight kind of in a way
00:39:30.820 i thought i i ended up with a 20-minute grace period that was good uh flew to victoria um we
00:39:37.860 had an amazing experience want to do a shout out to Jordan Keeley the Emily out of Northern Peace
00:39:43.400 Peace River he gave up his question period time which he gets question period of time
00:39:49.540 once every three weeks and he gave it for the farm because he is a farmer himself
00:39:55.120 and this hits close to home and he sees by learning about what's happened here he sees
00:40:00.900 where we're going and so he stood up for us it was a very emotional experience for me personally
00:40:07.380 sitting in the galley in the legislature building watching the power that just sat
00:40:12.540 below me in suits and uh you know both sides and going holy like these are the people this is all
00:40:21.140 the people that make these decisions that are outright you know just they they affect all of
00:40:28.400 our lives so much um i we uh had a minister of agriculture responded to jordan keely's
00:40:35.480 questions for question period uh then we were granted she asked for a meeting with us afterwards
00:40:42.440 we had a meeting with lana poppin uh the minister of agriculture samuel godfrey and our mla steve
00:40:51.020 morissette afterwards we had 15 minutes with them um i brought up a couple items about there because
00:40:57.380 she's mentioned the testing and they test and they do all these good things but i said you mean the
00:41:02.720 controversial PCR tests or do you mean that they don't even need tests to come on your property
00:41:08.760 and kill animals or you know and I think that one of the biggest failures and the gaps and all
00:41:14.260 that's going on is that they're not looking into the future just like they didn't with COVID
00:41:19.080 so you know if we are going to eradicate all our farmers and our farmers are getting tired and
00:41:25.680 they're giving up then we have it's just like what happened in COVID-19 our once heroes which
00:41:32.960 were our truck drivers and our nurses and our doctors became the outcasts and so what do you
00:41:40.500 do um you know our farmers now who were once the pioneers in the um in giving um nutritional food
00:41:47.980 giving up their life to farm for nutritional food for us are they going to become the next burden
00:41:53.440 on society because they're not following through with compliance and they're not um or they're
00:42:00.220 they're just giving up and then what do they do after they're in their 60s or you know 50s like
00:42:05.660 there's a lot of them are just saying what do we do now that we've been farmers our whole life
00:42:09.720 and now we don't want to repopulate do we lean on government assistance what do we do with the
00:42:15.760 rest of our life so i said well that is that is the plan actually if you if you look at it and
00:42:20.840 i'm sure you've seen that as well yeah yeah farmers moving into the cities and government
00:42:27.440 yeah we're curling our our everybody we're curling them slowly this way cinching us into
00:42:34.340 the 15-minute cities that we have the control over and i don't know how far i can go with this
00:42:39.440 but you look outwards and you go then we're going to have our vaccinations in which our families
00:42:44.320 and food which we're solely relying on the government to provide us with their government
00:42:48.880 the factory based meat and it's going to become an elite thing who deserves their food who gets
00:42:54.680 their their vaccinations um and you know how much do you have to pay for your vaccinations to
00:43:00.480 survive because if we get rid of natural immunity and herd immunity in our animals we will need to
00:43:08.820 survive off vaccinations there's nothing we're not eating nature we're not eating that immunity
00:43:13.740 anymore we're not getting our antibodies and so we will be solely reliant on our annual vaccination
00:43:19.800 for survival sorry that's my take on it that that was my five bottles of red pills i've eaten in the
00:43:26.460 five months well i'm glad you're all caught up i started now i'm like oh oh really that's great
00:43:36.060 i'm glad that you're all caught up now because most of us are going yeah this is exactly what
00:43:40.740 they're doing that's exactly what they're doing do you feel as though um meeting with these
00:43:48.680 provincial government representatives was going to be helpful at all because cfia after all is
00:43:54.500 a federal agency yeah they asked that question canadian press asked that question i said
00:43:59.540 they were like why are you here for on the provincial level if it's a federal level and
00:44:03.600 i was like well isn't bc in canada like i don't know last time i checked that you know we're still
00:44:09.560 part of canada and if we're not we asking the right questions at any level should be important
00:44:16.540 you know what's interesting i'm sorry to interrupt you but in saskatchewan this came out a couple of
00:44:22.100 years ago um there were federal officials and this had to do with water and local land use
00:44:28.180 and these federal officials were just kind of worming their way onto private lands to take
00:44:33.200 tests and samples, whatever they were doing. And so one of the owners of the properties
00:44:39.340 went to the government and said, hey, the Saskatchewan government and said, hey,
00:44:42.520 what's going on here? Scott Moe found out that, in fact, there were federal government agents who
00:44:47.620 were coming on to private lands doing water testing and whatnot. And he said, well, that's
00:44:52.160 a crime. And if we catch you, we're going to arrest you. So I'm wondering if the B.C. government
00:44:58.120 would be willing to do the same thing here and if they have the power to do that. That might be
00:45:02.760 it's a really good point maybe you could message me after too i'd like to keep that because you
00:45:08.980 know every piece of hope we hold on to it and we chase it we're not and that's what's you know
00:45:13.820 we're still here um i really do appreciate the time at the legislature because it gave me an
00:45:19.360 eye-opener too um but it also i just it stimulated more conversation some people are you know they
00:45:26.900 don't understand how much i just want to take on any me everything because i just went even even
00:45:32.640 if two more people here tonight if it was just two that heard knew about this it's two more people
00:45:39.960 that were just trying to make educate and be aware of what the situation is here and how the impact
00:45:45.340 that it has on all of us and the catastrophic failure in our system that it will have if we
00:45:51.660 lose our nutritional food source let me ask you a question and this is going to be personal you
00:45:56.500 don't have to answer if you don't want to but before all of this happened who were you and i
00:46:03.540 know that you always have been linked to to the universal ostrich farm and i know that you uh you
00:46:09.460 grew up with these animals we talked about that last time but what did you do before all this
00:46:13.340 so and then i've got a follow-up for that as well by the way so we we had fires that um came through
00:46:22.040 here as well I'm sure you're aware of uh and they were evacuation evacuation ordering everybody out
00:46:28.740 of here just quite a few not that long ago and my mom was like we said we can't leave the animals
00:46:34.520 they don't know how to treat they don't know how to eat feed these animals they don't know how to
00:46:37.720 care for them and so we said we're staying so we took this stance of staying and um I I just made
00:46:44.300 it through the barricade with my trade and food and gas and everything and back then we were on
00:46:49.820 national news because we stayed behind for our animals but we were feeding all the other we were
00:46:54.700 offering food for the community's animals after that I went on to raise food for Kelowna's fires
00:47:00.220 and I raised by myself a hundred thousand pounds of animal domestic and livestock food drove it
00:47:08.220 across the Okanagan Valley I fed all the farms that were staying through evacuation order and
00:47:15.060 out of an evacuation order i so with i always joke that i think the government is like their
00:47:21.600 daughter just keeps coming home but before so before that i have a family i have a few boys
00:47:29.420 i was a mom i am a mom i'm a very proud mother happy mother's day by the way thank you thank
00:47:36.560 you very much uh we owned a coffee shop i ran a coffee shop i've written a couple books crazy
00:47:43.020 enough about um uh the power of uh you know gratitude and affirmations for children i um i
00:47:51.180 guess i've just kind of been always an entrepreneur but i grew up here my biggest passion as you can
00:47:56.000 tell is this farm uh it's been a pivotal it's been a big part of my life it's been the biggest part
00:48:01.640 of my life i've grown up with these animals that are in their 30s i'm 43 i should never have given
00:48:08.240 know my age but i'm 43 and um i love these animals are my life and i see how much joy and the passion
00:48:16.220 it brings my mother um and she always told us i think i said this on your last show she said
00:48:21.920 these animals are going to do something amazing for humanity one day and we're like uh-huh okay
00:48:27.420 and that is that is a thing you are working with a doctor over in japan i believe uh the antibodies
00:48:33.460 And we talked about that last time. And the reason I asked that question to you, Katie, is because no matter what happens with the court ruling, whenever it comes out tomorrow or Wednesday, whenever, is this going to be your new thing?
00:48:47.280 I mean, because you are very passionate about protecting these farms and about finding a way to wrangle CFIA so they haven't got this kind of power over people.
00:48:58.680 And it seems to me that your focus is now just on getting the word out to as many people as possible so that they're aware and they know what's going on.
00:49:09.160 Yeah, absolutely.
00:49:10.660 It has turned into my new life mission.
00:49:13.080 And I think it's going to be to be able to speak on these causes, protect our small farmers, work with the commercial poultry, the associations that are larger.
00:49:23.860 I, you know, try and bridge those gaps, bring these people together, but have a have a stability in our food source, have a stability with our farmers and create, make them that before they become the burden, create, make them the biggest heroes that the that our health care workers are.
00:49:40.860 our truck drivers are and let's not make that mistake again here and we're going to stop it
00:49:47.000 before it happens so it is i have a big passion do you have allies do i have yes yes i know you
00:49:56.480 don't want to name names that we talked about this before but i'm talking about people who are
00:50:00.100 willing to stand up with you because this can be an awfully lonely thing doing it by yourself
00:50:05.440 solid people we have so jim kerr from the bubble bus has given up you know he had a ticket back
00:50:12.080 and then he was and he was like i can't leave how do i leave when there's no verdict uh he's
00:50:18.720 been by our side uh taking tons of live video we have sarah bankert bankert she's day one she's
00:50:26.740 been here from the polona resistance videoing standing up making sure the message gets heard
00:50:32.280 lots of love we have oh gosh um just so many i you know kind people we have our scientific team
00:50:39.940 that are willing to stand behind us between behind by guelph university um is dr pellick from
00:50:46.000 university british columbia um byron bridal um oh we have a yeah we have a lot of people willing
00:50:53.580 to stand with us and i think we just need to keep pushing forward and create this amazing dynamic
00:50:59.680 that we have and we can make a lot of change universal ostrich harm stands for
00:51:04.560 um you know using this most challenging time to make the largest opportunity to protect others
00:51:10.260 if this does happen where they come out and they call the birds are you planning on being there
00:51:19.300 for that or are you going to be off site no absolutely we will be here we will video i said
00:51:25.680 the world is watching and if the world uh if that happens and it goes that way the world i whoever
00:51:32.740 wants to and i i mean this i'm sorry but because i i would not be the one that would be able to
00:51:37.880 watch it but i will show the world that each animal getting killed because this is not unnecessary
00:51:44.800 it is it is animal cruelty because they were healthy animals under the health and animals act
00:51:49.580 you do not do this we are um and then our animals deaths would would fight for tooth and nail to make
00:51:57.780 this use this to protect every farm out there so yeah we would film it i'm gonna stay i know all
00:52:03.920 of us are gonna stay um they'd have to pull us out of here that would be a heartbreaking
00:52:09.520 and i can't even call it a moment because it wouldn't be a moment for 400 of them it would
00:52:15.060 go on for hours probably they are they are not replaceable or you you have to remember the
00:52:20.060 decades of genetics that are here the environmental challenges that each unique immune system has
00:52:26.740 faced and fought off it could just be as simple as their own cold but we if you they're okay with
00:52:32.640 our farms killing all of our animals and our genetic diversity off and then repopulating with
00:52:37.400 really small young animals that have no immune systems which allows these viruses to have more
00:52:43.940 a habitat or like an environment to mutate on. So we're doing everything wrong. The science is
00:52:51.780 clear. The culling is not working. By wiping out our natural immunity that has been our most
00:52:56.540 powerful system for forever, nature's most powerful defense system, we are setting
00:53:06.140 ourselves up for catastrophic failure so when this ruling does come what is it like if it it's
00:53:15.320 in your favor what does that mean is it just another delay or is it a final decision uh no
00:53:21.460 it's uh just another to us it's another delay in appeal um we will have an appeal ready we will be
00:53:28.640 ready to take that on um you know you have to remember too they have so much power shadow
00:53:35.040 that they can just come on and say that they're working in the best interest of public health
00:53:40.580 and safety, and they could come on tonight. It just wouldn't look very good on them, right?
00:53:45.440 So these organizations have way too much power with no accountability, and we have to start
00:53:50.260 creating some. And that's what we're trying to do here. There's accountability, and you have to
00:53:54.240 start looking into the future. And they're not, these people that are being put in these positions,
00:53:58.740 they are not, they are lacking the education in the areas that they're in. They need to start
00:54:04.240 really going to the experts, which is the farmer. We need to start putting some faith in the people
00:54:09.420 that have raised these animals for the years that they have. And there's no accountability. And that
00:54:14.440 is scary. You don't have organizations that have that much power with no accountability. They don't
00:54:18.800 even show up on site for the culling. They hire third party contractors, vendors to come and do
00:54:25.100 the killing. Canadian Food Inspection Agency and three of the farms that I've spoke to,
00:54:29.660 they are not present for the culling so then they go out just hire murderers like yeah yeah
00:54:38.100 good word for them because if you don't have any expert to expertise with these animals that
00:54:42.680 you're killing how you're just going out there and it's it's wrong it's all wrong and they're
00:54:49.040 handling infection they're handling infectious disease are these vendors actually qualified
00:54:54.280 has anybody checked to see if these vendors are even qualified to handle the disease and shoot
00:54:59.020 the animals and be present on the properties that they're on like we're not you know you would think
00:55:04.740 that they've already handed this job off to somebody because of the arrogance that we pointed
00:55:11.180 out earlier in the show right they've already contracted that does anybody want to leak the
00:55:15.880 vendor that's been hired to i'm sure that might be interesting probably wouldn't be somebody local
00:55:23.480 though but maybe you know i mean with all the viewers that we've got here maybe we can get a
00:55:28.800 Hold it, Katie.
00:55:29.600 You're findable on Facebook.

00:56:09.260 i love you i love you too all right then when something happens please let us know okay
00:56:13.520 sounds good you better believe it you'll be one one of my first to know all right thanks katie
00:56:18.340 Bye.
00:56:48.340 hey we've got more show just so you guys know i i didn't want you to think that the show was over
00:57:00.420 it's not we've got some actual news to get through tonight so we're going to go ahead and do that
00:57:05.780 starting with a fire that happened in winnipeg today firefighters battling a large blaze
00:57:12.660 North Transcona Industrial Zone. They're calling it a grass fire. And I'm sure that we're maybe
00:57:19.460 minutes away now from somebody saying it was climate change that caused the fire. Now, this
00:57:24.080 area, like they say here in the Winnipeg Sun, is a large industrial area. As a matter of fact,
00:57:31.060 there's a rail yard up there. It's been there for 70 years. It's called Symington Yard. And I know
00:57:36.000 people who have worked there for many, many years, including an engineer who said to me
00:57:40.740 that if a fire in this area ever happened, it could burn forever, simply because the diesel
00:57:48.360 fuel that has been in the ground for the last 70 years, it seeped right into the ground, goes 20
00:57:54.400 feet deep, maybe more. So this fire could be burning for quite some time, and it might be
00:58:02.040 very difficult to put out. Here's a little video.
00:58:10.740 so that's what it looked like and it was pluming all over the city so big fire grass fire
00:58:27.000 probably still burning it had been burning at about seven o'clock tonight central time for about
00:58:34.060 five hours so that's kind of crazy uh tomorrow night on the show jeff rath you guys remember
00:58:40.920 jeff rath he's with the alberta prosperity project he's going to be joining the show he's also what
00:58:45.460 i would consider to be the authority on first nations and indigenous groups at least in alberta
00:58:51.320 and he's been fighting for indigenous rights legally for the past 30 years uh jeff is a lawyer
00:58:59.020 and he is also a big believer in Alberta sovereignty and he has come up with a question
00:59:05.280 a referendum question we'll be talking more about this tomorrow night and also exactly
00:59:11.040 what the First Nations stance on all of this is because it seems at least in the past week
00:59:17.100 they've been telling Danielle Smith to get off their land do the treaties still apply
00:59:22.620 did the treaties give the first nations people some sort of veto power over alberta separating
00:59:29.440 from canada i would suggest no but we're going to hear about it from the authority jeff rath
00:59:35.940 of the alberta prosperity project tomorrow night from the cbc separatists they're going to use the
00:59:42.560 word separatists right separatists release potential alberta referendum question expect
00:59:47.920 danielle smith to join the cause the alberta prosperity project says the premier should hold
00:59:53.300 a referendum in 2025 with ucp base heavily pro secession very interesting they want it this year
01:00:01.100 and that's what jeff said on the show last time he was on we've heard that danielle smith if they
01:00:06.240 can get enough people to sign the petition will hold the referendum in 2026 but they want to make
01:00:13.920 it faster so an alberta separatist group they're the alberta prosperity project separatists
01:00:20.360 and it's amazing i pointed this out on the show last week you know when they talk about
01:00:25.180 separatism in quebec they joke around with yves flancois blanchette of the black quebecois they 0.92
01:00:31.800 it's funny it's cute look at the quebecers they want to leave oh my god they're so adorable 0.92
01:00:36.300 But Alberta, they're like monsters. 1.00
01:00:42.120 So the APP released a referendum question today on independence from Canada that it will petition to get in front of provincial voters.
01:00:51.200 But only once it's garnered support from 600,000 Albertans.
01:00:55.700 Well, OK, so Bill 54 that was introduced last week, I think, or maybe the week before by Danielle Smith and the UCP government is going to significantly reduce that number.
01:01:05.540 So again, the CBC is trying to suppress the idea of Alberta sovereignty amongst Albertans, right?
01:01:17.020 That's more than triple the number of signatures the Alberta Prosperity Project would need under a new conservative,
01:01:22.920 a new united conservative party government bill that makes it much easier to force a referendum on the ballot.
01:01:28.480 But the group also said it would push Danielle Smith to allow a separation referendum later in 2025 instead of next year.
01:01:36.580 As she suggested, they said a critical mass of separatist UCP members can persuade the premier to fast track the referendum and to join their cause as well.
01:01:49.260 The UCP did a little bit of a press conference today.
01:01:52.140 They're still standing up to the federal government.
01:01:57.560 Rebecca Schultz, I believe her name is.
01:02:00.780 She's the Minister of Environment in Alberta.
01:02:05.240 She and Danielle Smith held a press conference today, and here's a clip of that.
01:02:08.680 How industry felt about what's working well and what presents a challenge.
01:02:13.300 Certainly, concerns were raised about the impacts of a carbon price reaching over $100 per ton.
01:02:19.040 That is why, effective immediately, we're freezing the industrial carbon price.
01:02:22.840 This will provide a stable, predictable, and effective environment for companies to operate and remain competitive.
01:02:29.200 It will also benefit sectors across the economy, including agriculture, forestry, and manufacturing,
01:02:34.660 helping reduce costs, grow industries, and of course, keep Albertans working.
01:02:38.780 We're keeping Alberta competitive, standing up for our workers, our industries, and our economy.
01:02:43.400 We are absolutely a leader when it comes to energy and resource development, but also when it comes to emissions reduction.
01:02:49.800 This is our jurisdiction, not Ottawa's.
01:02:52.800 And if the federal government wants to work together to keep our economy strong,
01:02:56.540 respect the Constitution, and do the right thing for the environment,
01:02:59.220 they can follow the path forward that has been outlined by the Premier over the last couple of weeks.
01:03:08.240 So while they still band a little bit when they say, well, we're a leader in emissions reduction,
01:03:13.560 they're not going to increase the carbon tax that the federal government insists they do
01:03:21.920 in other words they're jamming their thumb in the eye of mark carney i don't know if this is a ploy
01:03:29.140 to force him to the table to negotiate on the 10 points that danielle smith has repeatedly brought
01:03:34.640 up the conditions required for alberta to she doesn't go as far as say separate she she continues
01:03:43.140 to say national unity crisis which is what's already going on interesting some of the articles
01:03:51.360 coming out of ontario and all of the big left-wing corporate media publications they're laughing at
01:03:57.700 alberta yet again they're laughing at the west yet again and what i would suggest is that
01:04:04.180 if you don't think that you're going to get this passed in alberta if the support is only 30 or
01:04:12.340 35 percent in favor of leaving canada and becoming a sovereign nation make sure if you live in alberta
01:04:19.320 again make sure that your buddies who may not agree with you regarding separation read the odd
01:04:26.900 article from the toronto star or the globe and mail or watch the cbc when they start talking about
01:04:32.240 separation because that will anger them enough to actually go ahead and join the sovereignty movement
01:04:39.480 just to see how they're laughed at alberta doesn't it's alberta is not the economic engine
01:04:46.100 of canada oil and gas energy is not a big factor in the economy of canada that's what they're
01:04:52.300 actually saying that's what they actually have the gall to say even though it is the number one
01:04:57.800 thing that drives the economy even now under the conditions the liberals have laid down for the
01:05:03.040 last 10 years. And without Alberta, Canada's screwed. If you want to talk about have-not
01:05:09.640 provinces, well, Ontario is one. They receive money from equalization, not as much as Quebec,
01:05:19.340 but they still take about a billion dollars. Quebec takes 13 or 14 billion dollars from
01:05:23.780 equalization. But they're saying that those two provinces are the ones that control the economy
01:05:30.240 of the country. Well, it makes sense. They're saying that together, Ontario and Quebec control
01:05:35.900 57 percent of Canada's economy, even though they have over two thirds of the population. So
01:05:42.540 obviously, both of those provinces are nanny states or they've become that way.
01:05:48.900 They should be able to match the economic output with the population. It should be the same.
01:05:54.280 If the population of Quebec and Ontario combined is two thirds that of Canada,
01:05:59.200 then they should be controlling two-thirds of the economy, and they're not.
01:06:03.460 So Alberta punches high above its weight.
01:06:08.320 Now, there's been a lot of talk about recounts from the election last week.
01:06:13.560 Was it last week or was it the week before?
01:06:15.500 I think it was the week before.
01:06:17.200 And there are four.
01:06:18.300 Well, there was one that was decided today by one vote.
01:06:21.920 One vote.
01:06:22.740 The Liberals beat the Bloc Québécois in Quebec by one vote.
01:06:26.020 There's three others that are ongoing right now.
01:06:28.620 People are yelling and screaming about cheating and how the liberals managed to steal a majority.
01:06:36.000 Well, first of all, they're not going to win a majority.
01:06:38.800 Even if they somehow manage to wind up on top in all three of these recounts, they still will not have a majority government.
01:06:47.020 It's not going to happen.
01:06:48.040 Now, if they combine with the NDP seven seats, they will.
01:06:51.140 but it sounds like the NDP is not interested in forming any kind of an alliance or a coalition
01:06:57.220 with Mark Carney's liberals, at least right now. And by the way, Carney is going to be announcing
01:07:01.280 his cabinet tomorrow and he says, yes, it's going to be gender equal. So 50% women, 50% men. Mark,
01:07:10.420 I have a question for you right now. What is a woman? What is a judicial recount and could it
01:07:20.380 leave the Liberals with a majority government. This is from the National Post. An Elections
01:07:25.900 Canada judicial recount flipped a riding back to the Liberals over the weekend, but the results
01:07:30.220 of three more recounts yet to be completed will not give Carney and his party the 172 seats needed
01:07:38.060 for a majority government. In fact, the Liberals could lose two seats to the Conservatives and
01:07:43.200 drop to 168. That's the seat count if the count doesn't go their way. So they're defending two
01:07:50.860 of these seats that are being recounted right now. The Liberals won them before the recount,
01:07:55.180 and they're trying to catch the Conservatives in the other. That's the one in, I think it's in
01:07:59.660 Windsor. So what's the judicial recount? Well, they go ahead and count the ballots with a judge
01:08:05.460 in the room. That's exactly what it is. And once the result is certified by that judge,
01:08:10.620 the decision becomes final the returning officer for a federal electoral district is required to
01:08:16.360 request a judicial recount when the margin of victory is less than one one thousandth of all
01:08:20.780 votes cast such was the case in the quebec riding of terrebonne which liberal candidate tatian
01:08:27.140 august won by one vote my vote doesn't matter
01:08:31.340 one vote after a judicial recount was completed on saturday so there's like i say there are three
01:08:39.680 other recounts that are going on. Even narrower margins than Tarabont separate the current
01:08:45.680 Liberal winners from their Conservative opponents in two of the three remaining recounts. The
01:08:49.700 process began Monday morning for Terranova, the Peninsulars in Newfoundland, which newcomer and
01:08:55.880 former CBC journalist Anthony Jermaine is clinging to by a mere 12 votes ahead of the Tory, Jonathan
01:09:02.520 row and what are the others here a recount for ontario's milton east halton hill starts tomorrow
01:09:12.140 in milton preliminary election night results awarded the writing to the conservatives parm
01:09:17.500 gill by almost 300 votes but became a win by 29 ballots for the liberals after the results were
01:09:23.820 validated what so that could be a flip to the conservatives rejected ballots numbered 412
01:09:30.720 And the last recount won't begin until Tuesday the 20th,
01:09:33.900 six days before Parliament is set to reopen by King Charles.
01:09:38.260 And was granted after Eirek Kuzmarek successfully argued
01:09:42.640 that some of the 537 rejected ballots in the Windsor-Tecumseh-Lakeshore
01:09:47.040 riding should have been considered because the voters' intention was clear.
01:09:51.920 But if they don't do it properly, then it doesn't count.
01:09:56.740 Eirek, that's the point.
01:10:00.020 According to the Windsor Star, one example cited by lawyer Jeff Hewitt was a ballot marked with an X for Kuzmarek, but also had the words,
01:10:06.560 Eirik did a good job in the margins. It's not allowed.
01:10:11.540 Preliminary figures had the CPC's Kathy Borelli finishing 233 ballots ahead, but Kuzmarek said,
01:10:18.400 Elections Canada later found four errors in how wind polling stations reported their final tallies, which reduced the margin to 77, leaving him seven shy.
01:10:26.440 so if they've already done one recount and they do another one do you think the liberals can get
01:10:31.820 another 78 swing another 78 ballot so he wins i don't think that's going to happen
01:10:39.140 i i don't think that's going to happen but the other two the conservatives could get two seats
01:10:46.340 back you never know bank of canada is going to start cutting rates again as jobs blow from
01:10:52.260 tariffs materializes, economists say. So apparently Canada lost 22,000 or 27,000 private jobs. Let's
01:11:01.080 go ahead and read the story because it's very fascinating. They added government jobs through
01:11:05.860 the election period. And that's what they're saying is buoying the economy right now. The
01:11:11.780 unemployment rate rose to 6.9% last month. And they're saying here in the financial post that
01:11:17.880 Donald Trump had his fingerprints all over it.
01:11:21.840 This is according to Statistics Canada, obviously.
01:11:25.560 And the estimate was only 6.8%.
01:11:29.620 So the real rate was 6.9%.
01:11:32.760 The economy only generated 7,400 new positions,
01:11:36.060 slightly higher than estimates for 5,000 new jobs.
01:11:39.220 Something of a turnaround from March
01:11:40.960 when the economy lost 32,600 positions,
01:11:44.260 but economists believe hiring related to the federal election
01:11:47.320 prevented the net change in April from falling into negative territory as sectors, including
01:11:52.160 manufacturing, retail, wholesale, all recorded large declines in employment. And they're saying
01:11:58.140 that it's because of Donald Trump's tariffs. It's not because of Donald Trump's tariffs.
01:12:03.420 It's because of the counter tariffs. That's the problem. But we need to keep our elbows up and
01:12:09.680 fight back against the largest economy in the world. Yeah, that makes sense. And at the same
01:12:15.300 time hey let's go ahead and cozy up to the communist chinese vashi capellos who everybody 0.85
01:12:23.800 seems to love all of the independent broadcasters on youtube seem oh look vashi just you know smoke 0.96
01:12:30.540 this guy now she had the chinese ambassador to canada on to spout rhetoric and propaganda
01:12:41.560 it just today and here's a clip of that canadians trust china to do more business with
01:12:48.520 china and canada conducting practical cooperation we have a profound historical foundation
01:12:59.720 great complementarities and we have actual needs for those practical cooperation because of a
01:13:07.160 reason that everybody knows about China-Canada relationship suffered setbacks in the past few
01:13:12.920 years and the causes of the event and also the merits of the case are very clear but China now
01:13:22.120 is ready to move on and look ahead we are ready to work together with Canada to bring our
01:13:28.840 relationship back onto the right track but for that to happen our relationship should be founded
01:13:36.120 on the right basis first of all China and Canada should have a correct perception of each other
01:13:44.760 China always regards Canada as our partner and we hope that Canada can also regard China as a
01:13:50.760 partner dear second mutual respect is important and we should respect each other on the issues
01:13:59.400 concerning each other's core interests mutual respect is a very important principle if one
01:14:05.000 wants to have a relationship with another and that also applies to state-to-state relations
01:14:11.000 as well and another thing for china and canada to bring our relationship back onto the right track
01:14:17.480 is that we need to seek common ground while reserving differences in a constructive way
01:14:24.840 china and canada have a lot of differences and this is very very normal because we are different
01:14:31.880 in history we are different in culture and we are different in political systems and many other
01:14:36.040 factors but one very important goals a goal of two countries to develop a relationship is to serve
01:14:45.880 the interests of the people of the two countries whether china has interfered in canada's internal
01:14:51.720 affairs and whether china is a security threat to china i have made china's position very clearly
01:14:58.280 medical times and i am ready to share with you here today as well okay i can say it very clearly
01:15:04.680 to you that china has never and does not have any interest in interfering in canada's internal affairs
01:15:17.240 he's lying there's obvious evidence of china interfering in
01:15:23.480 our internal affairs. 0.98
01:15:27.900 So what was the point in having
01:15:29.440 the Chinese ambassador to Canada,
01:15:31.580 who, by the way, doesn't speak English or French,
01:15:34.800 speaks Chinese, speaks Mandarin?
01:15:37.580 Obviously, that was all through a translator.
01:15:40.360 That's how much they think of our country,
01:15:42.200 that they send an ambassador to this country
01:15:44.680 who can't even speak the language.
01:15:50.180 They want Canada.
01:15:53.480 And right now, they're scared that Trump is going to take it over
01:15:57.520 because they've been working on Canada for decades.
01:16:01.180 And they're scared they're going to lose it.
01:16:03.620 They're scared.
01:16:05.700 Why else would the Chinese ambassador to Canada be on Vashi Capello's CTV news program?
01:16:14.060 Interesting, isn't it?
01:16:15.640 I have a couple more things before we get to the extension on shadowdavis.com tonight.
01:16:19.520 And tonight it's going to be how to spot a PSYOP from a behavioral analyst.
01:16:27.360 I thought that was kind of interesting.
01:16:30.240 Donald Trump, according to AA.com, has cut ties with Benjamin Netanyahu,
01:16:36.920 the PM of Israel, over manipulation concerns.
01:16:40.500 According to a report, Israeli Army Radio says Trump has cut off direct contact with Netanyahu
01:16:47.260 amid growing bilateral tensions.
01:16:49.500 In other words, stop telling us what to do.
01:16:53.120 This is very interesting.
01:16:54.620 And members of the website, the Nighthawks,
01:16:57.640 the all-access Nighthawks at shadowdavis.com
01:17:00.080 know exactly what I'm talking about.
01:17:01.980 And maybe you do too.
01:17:04.020 Although I can't say it on the social media streams.
01:17:07.360 Donald Trump has decided to cut off direct contact
01:17:10.060 with Benjamin Netanyahu, a report said last week, Thursday.
01:17:14.940 Yanir Kozin, a correspondent for Israeli Army Radio, said in a post on his ex
01:17:19.540 that Trump made the decision after close associates told Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer
01:17:25.080 the president believes that Netanyahu is manipulating him.
01:17:31.620 Wow. Wow.
01:17:35.120 An Israeli official added that Dermer's tone during recent discussions with senior Republican figures
01:17:39.920 about what Trump should do was seen as arrogant and unhelpful. The official said that people
01:17:46.900 around Trump told him that Netanyahu was manipulating him. There's nothing Trump hates
01:17:50.920 more than being portrayed as a fool or someone being played. That's why he's decided to cut 0.99
01:17:55.800 contact with Netanyahu. That, my friends, is a very, very, very large thing. Huge. And you also
01:18:04.060 know that Donald Trump was talking about, he's musing about it. He hasn't actually done anything
01:18:08.900 about this yet and maybe tariffs are the first step talking about getting rid of income tax in
01:18:15.540 the united states getting rid of it completely because they'd be making so much money from the
01:18:19.040 tariffs that they wouldn't need that income from income tax and ron desantis down in florida wants
01:18:25.620 to get rid of property tax listen to him talk about it own your property free and clear i think
01:18:31.800 to say that a someone that's been in their house for 35 years just has to keep ponying up money
01:18:37.120 um that you know that is not you don't own your home if that's the if that's the case
01:18:41.900 so yes of course i'd like to see people be able to owe oh free and clear and um it's interesting
01:18:48.200 because it's like you you know if i go to best buy and buy a flat screen tv and put it on the
01:18:54.040 wall i got to pay a sales tax on it right but i don't keep paying tax on it every year i mean it's
01:18:58.860 just not that's not how we we do things it's like okay if you're going to tax something you tax it
01:19:03.840 at the transaction and then let people actually enjoy their free, their private property free
01:19:10.940 and clear of the government. So that I think is the vision. That's the philosophical insight.
01:19:16.000 And if you think about our founding fathers, when they were proposing the constitution in one of
01:19:21.680 the federal's papers, I think it was Hamilton, he's writing about, because you know, there was
01:19:25.820 opposition to the constitution. They were making a more powerful federal government than under the
01:19:31.240 Articles of Confederation, and people worried about taxation. And they didn't have obviously
01:19:35.660 a 16th Amendment, which eventually came on income tax. But basically, you were not effectively
01:19:40.560 allowed to do any direct taxation. It had to be indirect, meaning you couldn't just, I mean,
01:19:46.040 you could theoretically just apply like a tax on land federally, but it'd have to be a portion
01:19:50.660 among the states. So practically, it could never work. So basically, Hamilton's saying, look,
01:19:55.680 the indirect taxes are the most effective, efficient way to raise revenue for the government
01:20:01.000 because they basically allow the individual to choose how much tax they want to pay
01:20:06.840 based on how much they're consuming.
01:20:09.080 And there's a security, there's a protection against excessive tax in that regard
01:20:14.240 because if the government raises consumption tax too much, it kills the golden goose
01:20:19.280 because then it causes people to stop.
01:20:22.160 I know he's blathering and rambling a little bit here,
01:20:25.060 but it is very interesting listening to a governor, an elected governor of a U.S. state
01:20:29.740 talk about getting rid of property taxes right purchasing as much but he said taxing property
01:20:35.020 uh is is one of the worst forms of taxation because people don't have a choice in the matter
01:20:39.980 and you're just basically drilling these folks over and over again on tax and so it's um yeah
01:20:46.560 it's an issue that i think's pinched a lot of people but philosophically it was not the way
01:20:52.400 that um that that the federal government was constructed now i understand local there was a
01:20:56.640 history of it. And that's kind of been kind of been the norm. But man, I mean, you talk about
01:21:01.420 family of four having the median home price that is purchased in Florida. You know, that's a pretty
01:21:07.560 hefty tax bill right there. When you come in after buying a home, when you consider what the average
01:21:13.860 income is throughout the United States of America, the math doesn't it just doesn't add up. And I
01:21:18.880 think that's why people want relief. Isn't that interesting? As people rail about we'll never be
01:21:26.260 the 51st, never 51. Canada all the way. By the way, Mark Carney wants to invest another. What is
01:21:33.820 it? 25 billion, 75 billion, which means taxes are absolutely going to go up. The carbon tax is never
01:21:40.320 going to go anywhere. Even if it's hidden, it's still going to be there. There was no talk at all
01:21:45.860 about taxes going down from the liberals during the election campaign. And yet somehow they managed
01:21:50.780 to win. But in the meantime, you've got the president of the United States talking about
01:21:56.240 getting rid of income tax, and you've got the governor of one of the largest states in the
01:22:01.540 union talking about getting rid of property tax. Now, I ask you again, why would you be opposed
01:22:11.780 to becoming a 51st state? Now, there's no way that the entire country of Canada could ever
01:22:18.720 become at once the 51st state all of the provinces would have to separate from confederation
01:22:24.860 confederation would dissolve and then the separate provinces would decide what it is they want to do
01:22:29.760 they want to form a new federation do they want to go on their own do they want to join the united
01:22:35.840 states they want to join china that's how it definitely would play out a couple of uh european
01:22:43.000 things here from our friend Christine
01:22:44.840 Anderson, German
01:22:46.900 MEP in the European
01:22:48.740 Parliament. She says,
01:22:50.980 oops, wait a minute.
01:22:55.820 I had this
01:22:56.960 up here. 1.00
01:22:59.260 There's going to be a European
01:23:01.000 COVID commission.
01:23:05.260 Did we have that
01:23:06.420 right at the top?
01:23:11.860 Here it is.
01:23:13.000 right finally the official eu corona committee is coming christine says one of my central objectives
01:23:21.480 in the work in the eu in my work in the eu parliament is finally becoming a reality
01:23:26.540 now the official investigation into the unspeakable corona policy will begin
01:23:30.760 which with its draconian and even totalitarian measures have severely weakened our society
01:23:36.900 extremely damaged citizens trust in politics and at the same time plunged many people into
01:23:42.420 absolute despair and physically harmed or even killed them by means of experimental injections
01:23:47.400 um it's been officially confirmed the request to establish a committee of inquiry into the
01:23:56.920 eu commission vaccines contracts in particular the controversial pfizer deals under ursula
01:24:03.080 ursula von der leyen has reached the required 180 supporters in the european parliament the
01:24:09.520 request titled track transparency and accountability will now be submitted this is actually great news
01:24:15.840 because if the european union is going to investigate it then maybe like the americans
01:24:23.260 are already but maybe something happens over here i know that you're probably going to say
01:24:28.040 don't hold your breath man after a statement like that but you never know
01:24:32.280 did i tell you guys last week that the uk and the u.s have reached a trade deal that was
01:24:39.260 very very very favorable for the u.s and not so much for the united kingdom and i'm wondering
01:24:45.460 what's all in there i haven't had a look at all of it and maybe there's some things that are just
01:24:50.860 spoken handshake deals as opposed to what's on paper in terms of trade like donald trump
01:24:58.380 suggesting to Keir Starmer that, you know, if you don't get rid of these ridiculous censorship laws,
01:25:05.080 we're not going to do a deal. If you don't start really cutting down on immigration,
01:25:13.760 then we're not going to have a deal. And so today, the prime minister of the UK
01:25:19.860 announces that they will get tough on immigration. And they've doubled the UK citizenship wait time.
01:25:27.160 Here is Keir Starmer talking about it.
01:25:29.680 Becoming an island of strangers that encourages some businesses to bring in lower paid workers rather than invest in our young people.
01:25:40.040 So, yes, I believe in this. 1.00
01:25:43.100 I believe we need to reduce immigration significantly. 1.00
01:25:50.700 Why the sudden turnaround?
01:25:53.560 This guy's been in power almost a year and has done absolutely nothing about it.
01:25:58.220 And anybody who speaks up about it online gets thrown in jail.
01:26:03.200 But now, miraculously, after this new deal between the U.K. and the U.S. gets signed,
01:26:08.740 he is suddenly wanting to reduce immigration drastically.
01:26:16.580 All right.
01:26:18.140 Canada hasn't done a deal with the U.S. yet.
01:26:20.280 i wonder what that's going to be like look at mark here's the way it's gonna go no more censorship 0.61
01:26:27.700 and cut down on your immigration and get rid of the chinese influence or the tariffs are not
01:26:33.700 coming down as a matter of fact they'll go up now i totally understand that many of you guys
01:26:42.800 watching the show right now have got patriotic feels for canada and that maple leaf flag flying
01:26:50.120 and the wind. This is the country that we were born and raised in, and we should be
01:26:56.480 more patriotic. But over the last five years, we've seen this country come apart at the seams,
01:27:04.460 not the people, the government, the institutions, everything that we believed in, everything that
01:27:10.640 we believe this country stood for. It doesn't. So we have a choice, and that is to fix it
01:27:18.020 somehow and that doesn't seem to work in elections or leave it i'm just putting that out there
01:27:27.380 how to recognize a psyop is coming up tonight on the extension for all access night hawks on
01:27:35.040 shadow davis.com and that begins in a couple of minutes so i'll see you guys over there for the
01:27:39.620 rest of you i love you all i appreciate you all and i will catch you tomorrow night at eight o'clock
01:27:44.520 Central with our guest Jeff Rath from the Alberta Prosperity Project. We're talking about Alberta
01:27:50.820 sovereignty tomorrow night. You guys have a great night and I will talk to you later. Bye-bye.
01:28:14.520 guitar solo
01:28:44.520 We'll be right back.
01:29:14.520 We'll be right back.
