00:00:00.000 Thank you.
00:00:30.000 We'll be right back.
00:01:00.000 We'll be right back.
00:01:30.000 Thank you.
00:02:00.000 hello everybody welcome to the shadow davis show this is wednesday october the 21st
00:02:27.100 2026 and on the show tonight we're going to talk about teachers and how they've been abused by the
00:02:32.220 system a lot a lot in these past few years for saying the wrong thing apparently if you don't
00:02:42.380 use the newspeak you could be targeted by the left-wing antifa mob and actually
00:02:51.420 drummed right out of your career. We've seen that happen a few times. We've seen people
00:02:58.060 suspended, obviously, during the COVID era. We've seen people fired outright during the COVID era
00:03:03.160 with absolutely zero help from their unions. We've seen people suspended for saying the wrong thing.
00:03:08.760 We've seen people fined $750,000 in Barry Neufeld's case out in British Columbia as a
00:03:15.280 former school trustee, commenting about drag queen story hour. He got fined $750,000 by the BC
00:03:23.100 Human Rights Commission a few months ago. Well, it's happened again in Alberta in the last couple
00:03:30.100 of weeks. A teacher in Grand Prairie shared a post that was originally written by Maxime Bernier
00:03:34.980 talking about the fact that there are no bodies at the former residential school site in Kamloops.
00:03:40.920 she said here here that's all she said in her i think it was a tiktok post or maybe it was on an
00:03:46.580 x post well some students found that out they didn't like it they started a protest 12 of them
00:03:53.000 they went outside and they they just stood there maybe holding a sign or something indigenous
00:03:57.880 rights whatever it was and the teacher in question was suspended we're going to find out more from
00:04:04.640 our guest tonight she's carrie janakos carrie is the uh host of an instagram channel which is
00:04:11.460 called act underscore alberta teachers and how i found you carrie by the way welcome to the show
00:04:16.340 and thank you for agreeing to come on tonight hi thanks how i found you was through our friend
00:04:20.720 jim mcmurtry who himself was a teacher fired for telling the truth about residential schools in
00:04:26.400 british columbia now that guy i mean he'd been teaching for 40 years one of the most respected
00:04:31.060 public school teachers in the entire province and he said no wait a minute you know back when the
00:04:37.020 Kamloops thing was a thing he said no no that's not that's not what happened and he was summarily
00:04:43.080 dismissed after a few months appeals and whatnot so anyway whenever he sees his story like the one
00:04:49.600 you shared last week come up naturally he gravitates towards that shares it using his
00:04:55.100 massive following on x and so you became quite overnight i think a fairly big name in this
00:05:01.480 particular genre so welcome to the club it's good to have you how long has the act uh the act alberta
00:05:07.340 teachers instagram account been going by the way uh i think it's been almost a year like about this
00:05:13.500 time because because it started um i mean we can go into the story if you want about how it started
00:05:17.940 but i didn't even do social media until a year ago i didn't even i didn't have a presence sorry
00:05:24.060 I'm just telling everybody that that's where you can go and find the account.
00:05:27.360 It's right there.
00:05:28.060 Act underscore Alberta teachers on Instagram.
00:05:30.380 Go find it.
00:05:31.080 Yeah.
00:05:31.340 So Alberta teachers went on strike October 6th last year.
00:05:35.300 And, and I was against the strike.
00:05:37.880 I was vehemently against the strike.
00:05:39.400 I was loud about it in my own school, but of course no one listens to me.
00:05:43.040 And, and then of course the,
00:05:44.560 the ATA would get onto the news and they would say that we are unified in our
00:05:48.180 message and saying all kinds of things that didn't,
00:05:51.620 didn't represent my viewpoint at all.
00:05:54.660 And I just didn't think that that was fair.
00:05:56.920 And then at that time,
00:05:57.900 I don't know if you're familiar with Berta Proud Dad,
00:05:59.560 but he was on social media.
00:06:01.140 I was not familiar with him.
00:06:02.260 I literally used social media to watch cute cat videos.
00:06:05.720 And he kept coming up with my teeth.
00:06:07.980 Wait, wait, wait, hold on, hold on, hold on.
00:06:10.360 I mean, in the last 12 months,
00:06:12.740 you've gone from watching cute cat videos
00:06:15.280 on probably YouTube or maybe Instagram
00:06:17.780 to becoming an outspoken voice
00:06:20.220 against the injustice that has been handed down to teachers oh i've always been outspoken but um
00:06:26.560 but in terms of social media i was i was kind of anti-social media i wasn't into social media
00:06:31.100 anybody who knows me all my my like my kids my husband all my family members think it's insane
00:06:35.760 that i'm even on social media it's not like me at all i am i am a behind the scenes person i am not
00:06:41.020 a upfront person um and no you're not not anymore yeah very proud dad put out a thing saying that
00:06:47.360 teachers were he was kind of criticizing teachers a lot and kind of painting us with a broad brush
00:06:52.300 and um and at one point put out sort of a whistleblower email and if we knew any stories
00:06:57.760 that we could sort of blow the whistle on about the strike you know contact him and I just sent
00:07:01.880 him an email saying hey not about not all of us see things the same way some of us are conservatives
00:07:06.240 even though we're teachers because I really didn't like being painted with that brush and he like
00:07:10.160 within five minutes sent me a message and said hey can I interview you and I had no idea this
00:07:15.080 is all that controversial because i thought well i have something to say and like no one's saying
00:07:18.760 it on my behalf so sure you can interview me and we arranged it and i told my husband i mean god
00:07:24.480 bless him i told my husband like there's this guy coming over tomorrow i don't know much about him
00:07:28.540 i think he's going to interview me i'm not sure and uh and he's like i said i don't know and but
00:07:35.320 because i didn't know it all and i said but i'm not letting him in the house because like i don't
00:07:39.200 know him so he came over we live on a Cambridge was it raining no like I just I didn't he was a
00:07:47.540 stranger so I'm like I'm not letting him in my house I'm kind of private and so we sat up around
00:07:52.400 the the fire pit but then it was a really windy day and he said like this is not going to play
00:07:57.680 well because the wind's going to make too much noise so I'm like all right I reluctantly let
00:08:00.920 him in my house he had his lovely wife with him and she was so wonderful so I'm like okay like
00:08:05.120 it's fine and so he came in and then we did this interview which he told me went viral and I didn't
00:08:10.980 know what that meant at all and um and then he said to me sometime in like when he was telling
00:08:16.380 me that this video was going to be posted that he thought you know you have a unique voice in terms
00:08:22.000 of your your message you're in a unique position to sort of speak out on these things you should
00:08:26.300 you should make content and I said like I don't know how to do that I wouldn't even have a clue
00:08:30.940 how to make a video and um i did i youtubed it i sort of youtubed how to make a video and and
00:08:36.540 and the rest is history you know it it's amazing how much you can pick up and learn in a year's
00:08:42.260 time isn't it yeah it is wow uh you said conservative teachers and i you know to me
00:08:49.380 that sounds like a non-sequitur because of all of the ridiculous stories that we've been hearing
00:08:53.580 right for the past five or six years and how many conservative teachers are there actually because
00:08:58.800 whenever i think of a teacher these days and you know you reference the teacher strike from early
00:09:03.360 was it earlier this year or last year i forget it was october of last year okay so a year ago so um
00:09:09.360 i remember specifically this one interview that was done from all of the people who were at one
00:09:14.560 of the picket lines or one of the protests whatever and she was and i'm not sure if she
00:09:18.000 was a teacher if she was a student or if she was a teacher's aide but she was dressed up like the 0.99
00:09:23.040 devil. Oh yeah. Yeah. She was a parent. Yeah. I remember that. She was a parent. Yeah. Well, 1.00
00:09:28.600 she said she was a parent of neurodivergent children. Right. Right. Neurodivergent. Yeah.
00:09:35.540 Okay. So I thought of, you know, that's the only thing I can think of when I think of that now.
00:09:40.160 Yeah. And it just resonates through the entire teaching community for me. And I've got a bad,
00:09:44.900 I'm not going to lie. I've got a bad taste in my mouth, not about all teachers, but about this,
00:09:49.800 this this rising presence that i think is an evil that is you know infested teachers all across the
00:09:57.980 country and has it come in through the unions i mean how many sorry that's a different question
00:10:02.880 how many conservative teachers are there exactly you're a teacher i mean i hear from a lot in my
00:10:09.060 dms and every single one of them to this day has always said please don't name me um i need to stay
00:10:15.080 anonymous i just want to let you know how much i support you i agree completely with what you're
00:10:18.040 saying i i can't say it i've had people tell me that they just stay silent when they're at work
00:10:22.220 i've had people tell me that they completely pretend to be liberals and like like full-on
00:10:27.700 toe the line and go along with the the story um i guess playing sort of almost dress up really um
00:10:34.180 when they're at work which i just think is so unfortunate and sad to have to live your life
00:10:38.840 like like if you imagine how much time you spend at work and have to be a fake person while you're
00:10:43.420 there is unacceptable to me. But anyway, so I don't think there's a very large percentage of
00:10:50.640 the overall amount of teachers, but I do think that there are a lot of conservative teachers,
00:10:54.900 but not in ratio to ones that are more left-leaning. Now, I will say this. I don't think
00:11:00.820 that most teachers are far left and really into these very far left social issues. What I think
00:11:08.020 is actually happening um is i think most teachers are more centrist i think they're mdp you know in
00:11:14.980 terms of like their party if if they vote um but i think they're more centrist on these more extreme
00:11:20.380 issues but the loudest voices are very intimidating when you're in a pd day when you're in a staff
00:11:26.320 meeting when you're in any kind of group thing um the the loudest voices are very very intimidating
00:11:33.480 meeting and no one wants to speak up against them because they're going to get shot down
00:11:37.660 um and they are afraid of just retribution on it like they're afraid that they're going to get
00:11:41.900 let me just stop you stop you there now this is a scenario that i've tried to paint on this show
00:11:48.220 i can't even tell you how many times you know you're sitting in a meeting at work whether
00:11:51.960 there's 12 people five people whatever it is and you're right there's always one or two people
00:11:56.760 that yip yap all the time they essentially control the meeting even if they're not in control of the
00:12:02.020 meeting. So if you pipe up against one of them and say, I think you're out of your mind, maybe 1.00
00:12:07.680 you should sit down and take a pill or something. And I'm not suggesting anybody should be that
00:12:12.420 harsh, but, you know, say, no, I respectfully disagree with you. Can we have a conversation
00:12:17.760 about this? Now, if they get louder than that, and you've obviously got a principal who would
00:12:22.860 be in charge of a meeting like that, or somebody like a senior teacher, whoever it would be,
00:12:26.880 are they compelled by the school boards or any higher power at all to take the side
00:12:34.620 of the left wing lunatic before they take the side of some common sense teacher who just wants
00:12:40.780 the best for his or her students i mean they're not compelled to um by any policy that i'm aware
00:12:47.200 of but most of the time it's not so much it's what's not said it's not so much what is said
00:12:51.780 it's what's not said like i've stood up in meetings before uh i've i said even in that
00:12:55.940 interview that I did with Very Proud Dad a year ago, I said one of the sort of more telling PD
00:13:01.260 days that we had is we had one where the entire morning was on the transgender issues happening
00:13:06.820 in school and the entire afternoon was on Indigenous ways of knowing and how to incorporate
00:13:11.820 it into our teaching. And so the morning about the transgender issues, we had a specialist who
00:13:18.000 came in to speak with us and she was saying that you only bigoted people would have an issue with
00:13:23.240 with um a biological male being in a female change room washroom whatever you'd have to be bigoted
00:13:29.520 and if somebody is that bigoted then they should have to go to a different washing like they should
00:13:33.040 have to go to the independent person washing so wait a minute hold on the person that comes in
00:13:36.420 and says this is a specialized individual a consultant maybe somebody outside they work for
00:13:41.860 the board and they're a specialist teacher so they work as a teacher but they also have a specialist
00:13:46.060 title so that's critical theory that person came into your meeting and tried to jam critical theory
00:13:52.800 down your throat right and so I spoke up and I said I said well that's not the only reason that
00:13:57.720 somebody would have an issue with a biological male in change rooms there's very valid reasons
00:14:01.080 why somebody would have to would have an issue with that and um and I went on and then I remember
00:14:07.280 her response very specifically because she said um you're gonna have to drop your values at the door
00:14:12.680 and adopt the values of your board when you when you start work every day and I was about to speak
00:14:18.960 more but the um the uh assistant principal who was in charge of the meeting sort of interrupted
00:14:24.620 and said okay let's move on so it wasn't that she stood up for me or stood up for the other person
00:14:29.760 she just moved on it was what was not said so there was no standing up for me it was just a
00:14:35.740 let's keep going with this narrative okay so that means if you say nothing then you may as well just
00:14:42.320 be on the other side yeah so and then none of the teachers said anything either there was you know
00:14:46.720 we have quite a large number of staff or a large high school. So none of the other staff said
00:14:51.440 anything either. So everybody just is silent and the silence is the response. Any of the teachers
00:14:58.760 you work with feel the same way you do that you know of? Yeah, I've had a few people pull me aside
00:15:03.540 and say, so yes. So why don't they speak up? This is about fear, right? The only way that we're
00:15:12.360 going to get through this. And this has been with all of these ridiculous narratives that we've
00:15:16.920 faced ever since 2020 when COVID came out. If you said that, you know, I want a little bit more
00:15:21.600 information on any of these vaccines before I, before I put this stuff in my body, you were
00:15:26.040 immediately a denier, right? And climate change, all of this immigration, you know, if you're 0.99
00:15:31.240 against immigration or so much immigration, now you're a denier and a bigot. And the same thing
00:15:36.140 goes with the lgbt and the indigenous and all of that stuff it's always about fear right every 1.00
00:15:43.020 single time and the other side has always got at least one maybe two loud people who are going to 0.96
00:15:48.160 stand up and try and talk you down they bring in some specialist as you say who says you've got to
00:15:53.180 leave your personal values at the door and bring in the values of the board here because but you
00:15:59.200 see here's the thing you guys became teachers not for the money obviously yeah you became teachers
00:16:05.680 to educate the next generation
00:16:07.460 so you can send them out into the world
00:16:09.380 being able to think.
00:16:11.580 Those are the values that most teachers,
00:16:14.040 I would love to think, hold dear.
00:16:17.560 So if they're being forced to churn out this rhetoric
00:16:20.840 to class after class after class
00:16:24.040 of 15, 16, 17-year-old kids,
00:16:27.160 how can they do that and sleep at night still?
00:16:30.520 Well, because they think they're right.
00:16:31.620 So we had Bill 25 was introduced as,
00:16:34.900 I guess an idea. It's not necessarily all the way through right now. I don't know if you're
00:16:38.300 familiar with Bill 25, but Bill 25 was pushed through by the conservative government here in
00:16:43.180 Alberta. And the idea behind it was that teachers needed to be neutral in their presentation of
00:16:47.180 material in schools and that they weren't allowed to push a specific ideology. And I did quite a few
00:16:53.760 posts on it. And the pushback was always from teachers was always that, well, we already are
00:17:00.020 neutral and then you would present a case where you're not like where they weren't neutral and
00:17:05.120 they're like no no that is neutral they think it's neutral because they believe it's correct
00:17:09.120 so correct is neutral
00:17:11.840 no what what i mean when i say that is like when you're sitting in the meeting
00:17:17.740 and you speak up against this specialist crt individual who claims that you have to leave
00:17:25.020 your values at the door and everybody else stays silent in that meeting right they all don't believe
00:17:30.840 that what they have to churn out is true as a matter of fact many of them think it's nothing 0.91
00:17:38.880 but bullshit i mean but they're still doing it that's my thing so why don't we all just get up 1.00
00:17:45.680 and say i think maybe you should look you know go out the door and don't let it hit you in the ass 1.00
00:17:51.860 on the way out like seriously so you're asking how can they live with themselves knowing that 0.99
00:17:55.780 they probably are like they're struggling with this in their head as well well i mean they're
00:18:00.300 struggling with the thought of having to teach their their students this stuff but you know
00:18:06.020 why don't i guess what i'm asking carrie is why don't more teachers do what you're doing
00:18:11.020 and i'm not talking about starting a social media channel i'm just talking about doing it
00:18:15.620 while you're there while you're in the meeting while you're at work i mean if there was a dozen
00:18:20.000 of you who stood up and said, this is nonsense. We're not doing this anymore. They couldn't fire
00:18:24.340 all of you. They're terrified. I've had people use the word terrified. They're terrified. They're
00:18:30.580 terrified of the ATA. Well, I mean, okay. And I have really, really thought about this because
00:18:35.180 one of the things that I really try to do is I try to think of how, like, I don't think most
00:18:39.480 people are coming at anything from bad intentions. I don't think most people are evil. I think that
00:18:42.920 most people have a perspective that we need to understand and we need to seek to understand
00:18:46.980 that perspective. So I really did dig deep on this. And I did a post months and months ago,
00:18:51.080 where I sort of tried to show the timeline of how becoming a teacher happens and like the mindset of
00:18:56.660 a teacher. And it might take a minute to sort of relay. But if you think about high school students
00:19:01.740 right now, and of course, the education system, no matter where you go, is quite left leaning.
00:19:05.460 And the messaging that they're going to get is quite left leaning. And so including in high
00:19:09.280 schools in Alberta, so they're getting this sort of more leftist presenting education in high school,
00:19:14.580 those kids go directly into university to get their education degree and I can tell you because
00:19:19.120 I went to university recently uh to get my education degree that it is extremely socialist
00:19:25.700 like it's extremely left-leaning it couldn't I I ripped a poster off the wall um because I couldn't
00:19:32.360 believe it it was in the education building at U of A and it said socialism is the way come to this
00:19:37.920 rally on this day at this time whatever and I still have it it's up in my memory box there and
00:19:43.440 like it's very very left-leaning so they get this socialist education for four years it's rammed
00:19:48.180 into their heads that socialism is the way and then they're going into a unionized environment
00:19:54.640 where being taken care of is protection from the union so the union is there to protect you
00:20:00.400 it's more of a socialist type environment and everyone hold on wait a minute wait a minute
00:20:05.120 wait a minute wait a minute here um you're actually talking about communist you're not
00:20:10.060 talking about socialist are you fair like we we should replace you know i'm big on this when people
00:20:16.540 use the expression mainstream media because i spent so many years in it i know they're not
00:20:21.060 mainstream right but we keep calling them that and there's a lot to say you know in a name right
00:20:29.320 you call something mainstream and then they they are mainstream magically what they are is left
00:20:33.600 wing corporate media that's what i call them that is the for years on this show i've been saying
00:20:39.440 left-wing corporate media not that i want to lecture you here but when we talk about socialism
00:20:46.080 it's not socialism canada has been a socialist country for years ever since medicare came in
00:20:52.100 right it's communism we're talking about now like in vancouver the city council there they just
00:20:58.080 elected four actual communist probably antifa members to their council four members communists
00:21:06.840 who who said they didn't start this class war but they're going to finish it right that's what we're
00:21:12.940 dealing with here that's what we're dealing with not about socialist it's it's communist i'm sorry
00:21:17.400 to stop you there so you're describing the communist atmosphere at university yeah so then
00:21:21.620 they come in and they're surrounded and it's and it really really is it was shocking to me because
00:21:25.760 of course i wasn't a teacher my entire career i've worked in trades and so i came into this
00:21:29.320 essentially a bubble of people who work just completely unaware of any other perspectives
00:21:35.540 outside of this bubble and they all reinforce continuously the same ideology just over and
00:21:40.120 over again like it's almost being basted on them this ideology and it's completely reinforced by
00:21:45.700 everyone so there's no way to get around it or away from it and it's reinforced again by the
00:21:50.100 boards and it's reinforced again by the administration it's reinforced again by the
00:21:53.300 specialists it's reinforced again on every single pd day it's reinforced again at teachers convention
00:21:58.220 it's reinforced again three or four times a week with the messaging coming through emails from the
00:22:02.660 ATA. So there's no getting away from it. And so if you were to speak out against it, you've now
00:22:08.820 developed all of your friendships, your entire social group with your teacher network that you
00:22:12.400 work with. Those are your people. And so you are not just losing credibility at work or maybe
00:22:19.760 losing somebody to sit with at lunch. You're losing an entire network of people that you depend on.
00:22:24.920 And so that's too high a price for a lot of people to pay as far as they're saying.
00:22:28.540 So by speaking out, you would become ostracized from this social group and heaven help you.
00:22:33.900 A hundred percent. 0.89
00:22:35.000 But we all can see that all of this nonsense, I mean, we know that men can't be women. 0.95
00:22:41.940 We know this. 0.97
00:22:42.940 We know that women can't be men.
00:22:45.080 We know that climate change is certainly not settled in its science.
00:22:48.540 We have no idea what it is.
00:22:50.240 There's a lot of scientists out there who say, well, it's solar flares.
00:22:54.040 It's the sun, for goodness sakes.
00:22:55.280 I mean, the climate is always changing.
00:22:56.640 I don't want to get into the specifics of that. But, you know, all of the big issues that we've been facing for the past six years that, you know, the other side, when they argue their point, they never, ever have any facts behind them whatsoever.
00:23:09.260 And yet they insist that we believe and echo their rhetoric. And case in point, if we go to the story about the Grand Prairie teacher, I'm going to throw this up on the screen.
00:23:20.140 You know, all she said or she didn't even say anything except for here, here.
00:23:25.880 What what she did was shared a post by Maxime Bernier.
00:23:28.860 This is a story from left wing corporate taxpayer funded CBC.
00:23:33.740 Northern Alberta students walk out to protest teachers post about residential schools.
00:23:38.720 So here's the protest. What's that like 15, maybe 20 kids.
00:23:42.480 So I will correct something because I did hear. OK, so the the the news story that I cited in my post about it said that there was 12 students there.
00:23:49.360 And to be fair, the person who did that story was at this protest and they said 12.
00:23:54.140 Now, I had other people since then in my comment section send me pictures of much more, much, many more students.
00:24:00.760 And so they said it was upwards of somewhere between 70 and 100.
00:24:04.080 I don't know which one is true. The news article said 12.
00:24:06.800 And people sent me pictures that looked like a lot more students.
00:24:09.560 And I don't know what the actual truth is. It's probably somewhere in there.
00:24:13.040 but in any case this this many students are sort of deciding the fate then or wanting to decide
00:24:18.760 the fate of this teacher it says here dozens of grand prairie high school students walked out of
00:24:24.460 class to protest a teacher who shared a controversial statement and again you know like
00:24:29.100 this is the language they use right when you say uh you want to declare that canada you know
00:24:35.060 committed a genocide on people 150 years ago you would better damn well bring some proof with you
00:24:40.760 as far as I'm concerned, right?
00:24:42.660 Like Francis Whittowson going to all these universities
00:24:45.160 and asking a simple question, where's the bodies?
00:24:48.100 Show us the bodies.
00:24:49.680 But these kids have been hypnotized,
00:24:52.220 brainwashed into believing these bodies exist,
00:24:54.480 even though no proof has ever been shown.
00:24:57.280 The teacher's name is Amy Davidson.
00:24:59.780 She's a social studies teacher in Grand Prairie.
00:25:02.700 They tell us where it is, big deal.
00:25:04.400 And she shared a September 30th post from Maxime Bernier
00:25:07.300 in which the People's Party leader stated,
00:25:09.280 no bodies were found in Kamloops. How is that controversial? You see, these are the kinds of
00:25:15.700 little things that we have to reverse. The residential school genocide claim is a hoax.
00:25:21.340 That's what he said. Now, we don't know if it's a hoax, but we also don't know that there's bodies
00:25:26.200 there because no evidence. Anyway, Davidson said, hear, hear. She's a teacher at St. Paul,
00:25:32.840 John Paul II Catholic School. By the way, in Alberta, are Catholic schools publicly funded
00:25:37.960 or are they private they are no they're publicly funded okay uh officially observed in canada's
00:25:44.000 national day for truth and reconciliation i always say give us the truth before we can have the
00:25:48.020 reconciliation so she says here here meaning all right i'm assuming that she means show us some
00:25:55.640 evidence of this and she says i just feel like making these broad claims on social media and
00:26:01.660 coming into classrooms and teaching these things that are now parts of our curriculum is honestly
00:26:06.220 baffling and should not be allowed. Wait a minute. That was from grade 12 student Isabel Knopf.
00:26:13.240 Now, is that student not even at that school? I think there was one person they interviewed that
00:26:18.620 wasn't even a student at this school. They were a former, I don't even know if they were,
00:26:22.480 they were a former Grand Prairie resident. I don't know if they had gone to this school,
00:26:25.580 but they were currently a university student going to, in BC, at a university in BC and had
00:26:32.460 come back to participate in that protest okay they say here the first nation has yet to decide
00:26:38.620 whether they've had how long four years now and they've got 12 million tax dollars and they have
00:26:43.960 yet to decide whether or not to proceed with excavating the site here's what Davidson said
00:26:49.120 I'm not a residential school denialist which many people have framed me as she just says there's been
00:26:54.980 no evidence in Kamloops since the initial claims that there's a mass grave there I think other
00:26:59.160 issues surrounding residential schools have been misrepresented but the post was about the Kamloops
00:27:04.320 claims and there she is right there teacher Amy Davidson so do you know what's what's going on
00:27:09.240 with Amy uh did she have a hearing or something she had a hearing it was on Monday and um now to
00:27:15.540 their credit because I don't always give um I don't always give compliments to the ATA but she
00:27:20.100 did say that her ATA rep was there and that and that they came prepared and did did a good job
00:27:24.380 representing her. So I was happy to hear that. And basically what she said, and she gave me
00:27:30.460 permission to share this information, is she said that they didn't, they hadn't found a way to
00:27:36.580 pinpoint anything that she had said that was inaccurate. And so it was difficult to punish
00:27:42.740 her since she hadn't said anything inaccurate or unfactual. And, but they still had the issue of,
00:27:49.340 I guess, sort of the grievances at the school from both the parents and from
00:27:53.020 the students. So this posed a logistics problem as far as the school was concerned. And so
00:27:58.280 her feeling, and she has no evidence for this yet because the hearing is still being considered and
00:28:03.960 the evidence is being considered and I guess they're deciding what to do. So they haven't
00:28:08.280 come to a conclusion yet, but she said that she believes that they're going to settle on
00:28:12.100 relocation. So she'll be relocated into a different school in a different position.
00:28:17.360 Do you know how long she's been at this particular school?
00:28:20.680 I actually don't know that. I didn't ask her. I'm sorry.
00:28:22.820 That's all right. No problems, because it seems to me that they're trying to sweep this under the rug just by moving her to some other school and trying to forget about it.
00:28:30.740 That tends to be the solution for teachers that even teachers who do things that I would disagree with when when they should.
00:28:38.680 Otherwise, that's one of my problems with with unions is that it protects bad teachers, too.
00:28:42.940 So sometimes they've done something that's really that would normally get someone fired right in the in the private sector.
00:28:48.120 um they just get moved and stuff so i guess they're going to implement that same strategy
00:28:52.060 with amy um she didn't do it she didn't do anything wrong she didn't do anything wrong but
00:28:57.920 i think they've decided and i hate this word but they've decided that it's a toxic environment
00:29:01.920 probably and um and that she would be she would have a difficult time so so they might spend it
00:29:07.280 to be like in her best interest i don't know how they're going to spend it but do you do you think
00:29:10.920 that amy would given the choice would she rather stay where she is and put up with the toxic
00:29:15.960 atmosphere or would she said that she loved this school and i know that she's had supportive
00:29:20.620 students from this school who have spoken out in her defense and so i don't i don't know that
00:29:27.660 relocation would be her her first choice i think she'd probably rather stay i don't want to speak
00:29:31.840 for her but my sense is that she would probably rather stay yeah i mean if she loves her place
00:29:37.340 of work just because she said something that is like a question right i mean that's what it is
00:29:43.000 It's a question. Yeah. And I think like I completely agree with you. I'm somebody who
00:29:49.060 believes in absolute free speech. Obviously, there's laws that that prevent us from from
00:29:54.420 directly threatening people or saying that we're going to do harm to others and stuff. And that's
00:29:58.140 that's fair. But I had this conversation when I was in university and I was speaking to some
00:30:03.180 younger students who were in their early 20s. And somebody had said something like, you know,
00:30:07.920 I had said something and they're like, but what if somebody was offended? Like they kind of
00:30:11.260 clutched their pearls and said, but what if somebody was offended? And I said, you know,
00:30:14.320 you don't have the right to not be offended. I can say something that offends you. And we can
00:30:20.160 discuss it if you want to. But I can say something that offends you. You can also say something that
00:30:24.640 offends me. And we can have a discussion. This is how people converse. You know, it's discourse. But
00:30:29.740 it seems to, I guess I'm kind of confused about people who believe that saying something is hard
00:30:38.560 is a stopping point saying something is offensive is a stopping point like we didn't used to stop
00:30:43.660 at hard and offensive we used to push through and say well why is it hard do it anyway we used to
00:30:49.040 say okay it offends me why let's discuss it but now it seems to be a stopping point for everybody
00:30:53.920 i can answer that for you i can i can answer that for you and it's pretty simple it's in
00:31:00.700 critical race theory right and those words if anybody offends anybody else those words are
00:31:10.020 technically defined in critical race theory as violence right oh i know violence or words
00:31:15.500 so it's no no longer sticks your stones may break my bones and so they will actually consider
00:31:22.040 something you have said to be violence just the same as a attacking somebody with a blade
00:31:29.320 yeah or shooting my truth right it doesn't have to be the truth it just has to be my truth it's
00:31:34.080 what i feel it's how i perceived yeah yeah exactly so in in this situation you this is where we can't
00:31:41.680 have the conversation because the definitions have changed of words over the last few years
00:31:48.340 as well right like for example here we're discussing the word violence it's not violence
00:31:53.000 it's conversation that's all it is um you were also covering this story in quebec which i found
00:31:58.640 rather interesting i didn't even know about this to be honest do you think this is spillover from
00:32:02.320 europe it seems to have been inspired by europe so it's been inspired by what's going on in france
00:32:07.800 and obviously i said it in my post this morning i don't believe what's happening in france has
00:32:10.740 anything to do with the schools i know that they originated there and they're saying that that's
00:32:14.900 how what's going on but i don't believe that that's true um but apparently the the students
00:32:19.240 were inspired by that now there was a poster circulating on social media who made the poster
00:32:23.940 I don't know. But what I found interesting about the entire thing was that the students, if you
00:32:30.060 were to ask them why they were rioting and they were not protesting, they were rioting. It was
00:32:34.780 because they were upset about uniform policies and the cell phone policies. And I believe that
00:32:39.160 Quebec has pretty strict cell phone policies. However, these were not new policies. This was
00:32:44.240 not a new change that they were fighting against. These were already standing policies. And they're
00:32:49.180 trying to they're trying to say that that some poster was going through and they all of a sudden
00:32:54.520 got so worked up about these policies that already existed that they decided to riot and
00:33:00.740 2 000 students came together and rioted over these policies and i just don't buy it
00:33:04.740 well i mean in france obviously those riots are riots that have been started by hard left
00:33:13.820 marxist militants who have seen an opportunity and they've taken it it may have started out
00:33:19.220 as student protests you know three or four weeks ago when all of this first started but now i mean
00:33:25.460 it got taken over very quickly by antifa i would say macron came out today by the way in france
00:33:31.520 and he said by the way this is not real a lot of it is just ai and he said there were there were
00:33:40.420 government forces outside of france working for france's destruction i assume he's uh referencing
00:33:45.900 donald trump there i have some video of the quebec students there's no sound on this but
00:33:52.280 it looks like they're trying to form a blockade of some kind here it's messy video it's it's all
00:33:59.200 over the place but it looks like these kids are more interested in having fun than anything else
00:34:03.160 and that was my concern is that is that i don't know who who is circulating this poster who
00:34:08.140 created this poster who wanted to get these kids riled up but the problem with the way that the
00:34:11.700 education system networks now is we have created a lot of students who are extremely easy to
00:34:16.880 manipulate and because they're like I if there's one gift that I was given by my parents is this
00:34:23.000 very strong foundation of values and I'm like an oak tree that's 300 years old I am dug in on my
00:34:27.800 values and they are rooted and there's no one moving me from it kids like the kids are easily
00:34:32.600 manipulated now and they are not rooted in any solid values because they haven't had time to
00:34:36.960 develop them in order to have your values you need to have time to question them to challenge
00:34:42.100 them and to solidify them and they haven't done this and so they're easily manipulated
00:34:46.620 and they obviously got manipulated i don't know if half of them knew what they were doing
00:34:50.300 like i don't know if half of them knew why they were there are you talking about the protesters
00:34:54.920 in france now are these students i mean it could be both but definitely the kids in quebec i can
00:34:59.240 i can say that because those ones actually were teenagers who it was in france at the end of the
00:35:03.480 day i don't know well i'll tell you what you know anytime you go to one of these ridiculous protests
00:35:08.020 and you ask a question of that or that kind of a question to one of the people there they can't
00:35:14.100 really tell you why they're there because a lot of them are paid protesters right so they just go
00:35:19.680 they get an email like you pointed out and i want to get back to the unions um in just a second but
00:35:25.040 they'll get an email from whoever their protester boss is that says be here wear this at 8 15 wear
00:35:32.380 the black hat with the mask and whatever and so they show up they you know it's it's protest
00:35:38.860 mania basically it's protest incorporated right so whatever it is they show up at they have no
00:35:46.240 idea they just follow the instructions they're given like throw these frozen water bottles
00:35:50.380 stand in this person's way throw the umbrella in this reporter's face all of that stuff and
00:35:55.840 they have no idea why they're there well if you saw i saw on the news they were like literally
00:36:00.620 having trucks deliver flats or what do you call them, pallets of empty glass bottles for the
00:36:08.220 protesters to throw. Like somebody was delivering these. Who was paying for that? Well, I mean,
00:36:13.180 there are a few of the usual suspects who are out there, you know, the Soros crowd and
00:36:18.120 Neville Roy Singham out of China. But getting back to the unions, I mean, these are powerful,
00:36:23.540 powerful, powerful constructs. And they're able to mobilize a lot of people very quickly.
00:36:29.840 i think what's happened with the ata and probably in british columbia and saskatchewan ontario
00:36:35.360 manitoba all of these provinces is is the unions have been taking who's the guy in ontario he's the
00:36:41.840 i think he was the uh the vice president of cupy for the entire province fred something
00:36:48.200 fred hahn and this guy was like mr free palestine you know how does that have anything to do with
00:36:55.740 protecting workers it doesn't right have you seen any of that stuff oh i report on it all the time
00:37:03.140 i i have dug deep into the ata and some of the other um afl and all of them and uh and yeah
00:37:09.100 they're deep into it like i know qp just put out a thing we were having a uh a by-election over in
00:37:14.100 calgary shaw and qp sent people out with their uh and uniform with their um their t-shirts that
00:37:21.720 said QB on them, and they were going door to door, telling people to vote NDP. Like they weren't,
00:37:27.040 they weren't trying to be nonpartisan, and they're not obligated to be nonpartisan.
00:37:30.820 And what's funny is I've done a whole series of posts, because so the conservative government in
00:37:36.700 Alberta put out a bill called Bill 32. And this was, I believe, in 2023. And the purpose of Bill
00:37:42.860 32 was to allow union members to opt out of non-core activities. So what they compelled
00:37:51.260 the unions to do is they had to sort of section all of their activities into three sections. So
00:37:56.220 there was core, there was two core ones, and then there was the non-core. And anything that was in
00:38:01.700 the non-core category, that would have included political activities, charity events, anything
00:38:06.100 that wasn't directly related to representing members. They wanted members to be able to opt
00:38:11.540 out of those things. And that's a fair thing to do. So I contacted my union after reading that
00:38:17.960 and said, hey, I want to opt out of these. And they came back to me and they said, no, you can't.
00:38:22.760 And of course, go back and forth, go back and forth. And it had come to find out that the
00:38:26.680 reason that I can't is because they found a workaround. So what they did is when Bill 32
00:38:31.620 was announced, the ATA took money out of our special emergency fund, transferred it into a
00:38:37.960 new fund that's called the defense and advocacy fund. So they took 16 million, put it in the
00:38:42.800 defense and advocacy fund. And then they invested the 16 million and they use the revenues from the
00:38:49.020 investment to pay for non-core activities. So because it's not technically dues, it's revenue
00:38:53.940 from dues. I can't opt out of it. Wow. And so and if you look into the other ones, so QP has done
00:39:00.960 something, Unifor has done something, AFL has all done something. Every single one of the unions in
00:39:06.080 Alberta found a way around Bill 32. And Quebec right now is in the process of doing the same
00:39:10.760 type of legislation so that their union members can opt out. And all of those unions are looking
00:39:15.720 at workarounds as well. So they have a stuck is basically what I'm saying. You know, it's
00:39:20.900 interesting that most people, I think, you know, I can't even believe that some people still vote
00:39:26.840 NDP in this country, whether it's provincial or federal, they're still like, and they're perceived
00:39:31.220 these people as the working man's party, right? We're going to take care of you. It's absolutely
00:39:36.260 ridiculous because they've the ndp in all its incarnations has gone completely off the deep end
00:39:42.980 i mean so it amazes me that there's still guys out there i mean when we think about a union leader 0.89
00:39:48.260 we think about you know a shop steward or whoever is going to come and address the we think about
00:39:53.540 some guy in a suit right we're thinking about just some random dude in a suit who's worked as whatever
00:40:00.580 you know his union represents for the last 25 years and now he's made it into the union and
00:40:05.540 And he's going to take care of his boys. Right. But that's not what what unions are these days.
00:40:11.280 It's it seems to have been taken over again by these left wing zealots.
00:40:16.740 So have you come up with a theory? I think I've probably come up with one.
00:40:20.840 But have you come up with a theory as to how all of this is has permeated society?
00:40:25.780 Does it happen through universities? Does it start in public schools and then gets to universities and then into corporate Canada and the unions and everywhere?
00:40:34.660 I was shocked when I first started making content, especially about the unions. And I still to this day, I have several people who just troll my accounts and they constantly come at me and they say, if you didn't have the union, you would not have any protections and you would get paid minimum wage and you wouldn't have, you wouldn't have, somebody told me I wouldn't have any benefits and I wouldn't have any personal days.
00:40:54.920 and I'm like what are you talking about like you know that people who work in the private sector
00:40:59.840 have have those things right like you're aware that there are laws that pretend like labor laws
00:41:04.800 and it's almost like they've lived in a bubble this whole time that they legitimately think and
00:41:09.200 I mean I can tell you right now the messaging coming from the unions from my union anyway
00:41:13.760 it's three or four or five times per week that we get emails that just reinforce reinforce reinforce
00:41:19.980 it's like you've seen those torture videos where somebody's sitting in a chair and they're strapped
00:41:23.840 in and they see the screen and they're just getting this constant it's like that that's what
00:41:27.700 it is and you can't get away from it it's just this headphone noise and the visual and you're
00:41:32.520 just constantly getting that reinforcement of the messaging there's no getting away from it
00:41:35.980 and i think that they legitimately believe that the unions are protecting them and if we didn't
00:41:41.100 have the union we legitimately would have no other protections whatsoever well maybe many teachers
00:41:46.080 sorry go ahead many teachers have never worked any other career like they may have had part-time
00:41:51.500 jobs when they're going to university or before that, but they've never had another career. And
00:41:54.940 so they don't have an understanding of what is available in the private sector.
00:41:59.940 I have no issue with unions when it comes to protecting workers, right? I mean, because we
00:42:05.800 know, you know, like I said, I worked in radio for years and so many people got screwed over so
00:42:11.560 badly because there weren't any unions in it. It was just, you know, you fired one day suddenly,
00:42:15.840 maybe the boss didn't like the look of you or thought you sounded too nasal on the air,
00:42:19.940 whatever it was didn't matter right so if there was a union in a situation like that they might
00:42:25.880 be able to say wait a minute that's not enough of a reason let's let's be reasonable here so i have
00:42:30.740 no problem when it comes to unions representing and taking care of uh people who have been harassed
00:42:38.460 by management or fired for no good reason that's fine but why on earth do they have to constantly 0.94
00:42:46.800 troll out this this poisonous venom you know the palestine movement and everything that goes along
00:42:55.760 with it right the lgbtq i i drive by in winnipeg here i drive by the manitoba teachers society 0.83
00:43:01.640 building which is not far from where i live and every june july and august the pride flag is
00:43:09.240 flying above the canadian flag above it yeah right and and i think to myself why doesn't somebody
00:43:17.020 just go and take that thing down i mean is nobody offended by this have our sensibilities been
00:43:23.400 affected like just the average person have our sensibilities been affected to the point where
00:43:28.180 we don't see it or we're just willing to put up with it i mean we've all seen those videos where
00:43:35.020 you see something people will stage a heinous event somebody a woman getting beaten and people
00:43:39.400 just walk on by I think we've become so desensitized in society now like with everything
00:43:44.140 that we see that people just refuse to have any moral backbone and I just I don't understand it
00:43:48.620 the reason I speak out I've always spoken out is because I can't live with myself if I don't
00:43:52.260 and so I really really don't understand somebody who would live a life where they have to be a fake
00:43:57.340 person where they have to stay silent when they otherwise when they think otherwise I don't
00:44:01.680 understand it. I can't relate. And I do judge the people who don't stand up because especially
00:44:07.520 teachers, and I will say this unequivocally, we're teachers. We are influencing children. And in my
00:44:14.580 opinion, the education system throughout North America is hurting children badly. We are damaging
00:44:20.260 these kids badly and irreversibly. And if we are committed to taking care of these kids,
00:44:28.080 to protecting them as we should in every way then we are the first and only people who should be
00:44:34.980 we are the first people who should be standing up and making sure that any policies that are
00:44:39.300 going to hurt kids that we disagree with we need to stand up and say so now if you like this is
00:44:44.040 where I almost respect the far leftists more than the centrists the far leftists believe what
00:44:49.200 they're saying they believe that what they're saying is right the centrists are just keeping
00:44:53.080 quiet. And so they're damaging things more because they believe otherwise and they're
00:44:57.800 keeping quiet. You know, and we all know that famous quote about all it takes for evil to
00:45:02.400 succeed is for good men to stand silent. And that's what's happening. We're hurting kids.
00:45:09.040 So teachers need to stand up. We're supposed to be leaders. We're supposed to be role models and
00:45:12.940 no one is standing up. So yes, when you see something you disagree with, stand up and say
00:45:16.440 something if you don't people like myself will absolutely 100 judge you so you say that some
00:45:24.400 teachers have reached out to you privately yeah and they've asked oh don't name me don't name me
00:45:29.400 but i agree with you you know i've had that happen i don't know thousands of times in the past six
00:45:34.780 years you know i really love what you're doing man but uh i can't so why not well it's my life
00:45:40.520 it's my livelihood they're going to take it away i say you know sooner or later it's gone anyway
00:45:44.000 If we allow society to keep going the way it's going, then eventually they're just going to come and take it from you.
00:45:51.120 So maybe if you stand up now, we have a chance of fighting back.
00:45:55.900 Have you ever spoken to any of these other teachers about publicly coming out and saying something or maybe standing their ground in one of those meetings we talked about earlier?
00:46:06.100 Yeah, they cut off the conversation.
00:46:08.780 They stopped talking to me.
00:46:10.100 They want me to understand.
00:46:11.500 They want me to say something empathetic.
00:46:14.000 um the tone of the conversation tends to change they they want me to say no no you're right they
00:46:18.760 want me to pat them on the head you can ask any of my students i don't pat anybody on the head
00:46:22.600 so they're just looking for forgiveness from you they're looking for forgiveness which is not mine
00:46:26.540 to give um and and and i won't give it anyway like we're like i said we're in charge of kids i take
00:46:32.260 that really really seriously the way the way i see it and i've said this many times is you know
00:46:37.700 do you have kids i don't know if you have kids i've got a kid and a grandkid so yeah so okay
00:46:42.540 So on that day, when you have that baby in that hospital and that little precious thing is handed to you and you have that feeling that you get when you first meet your baby, well, those people are giving me their babies.
00:46:59.440 That baby, that kid that they got handed in the hospital, they're handing me that kid and they're saying, please protect him or her.
00:47:06.320 Please just foster their learning and help them along and help them to get where they need to go under your care.
00:47:12.540 I take that incredibly seriously, incredibly seriously,
00:47:16.300 because that's somebody's moon and stars right there that I have.
00:47:18.940 And if you are willing to stay silent when you think those kids are getting
00:47:23.860 hurt, I have no respect. There's no respect for that.
00:47:27.720 I won't respect that. I'm not going to pat you on the head and say,
00:47:30.820 I forgive you. You don't have to do anything.
00:47:32.160 You do have to do something. You're an adult and you should be protecting them.
00:47:34.920 You're a high school teacher, right? I am. Yeah.
00:47:37.120 So are there still parent teacher things in high school or?
00:47:40.440 Yeah, we had them yesterday, actually. Okay.
00:47:42.260 so you've got oh that's right you said so if you've got a parent teacher uh interview what
00:47:47.980 are these like 15 minutes long each yeah okay so you sit down with the parents of these kids and
00:47:53.260 you talk about how they're performing in school and whatnot have any of these parents ever said
00:47:56.980 to you oh and by the way what is all this bullshit i've had parents um ask their kids to step outside 0.85
00:48:03.860 and and come up to me and give me nothing but love and support um privately because i don't 0.95
00:48:09.920 talk about this with my students. Um, it's, it's not something I bring up at all at work
00:48:14.340 and it's just not the time or place or it's not my inclination to do so. So, um, and I don't talk
00:48:20.460 about it with my students, but privately they will tell their student to go outside or tell
00:48:24.640 their kid to go outside in the hallway. And then they come up and they're like, I just love what
00:48:27.120 you're doing. I fully support you. Um, um, I've had people warn me about other people who are
00:48:32.360 coming after me. I've had, I've had all kinds of stuff, but, um, but nothing but love and support
00:48:36.900 from the people who's who mentioned it what do you mean people who were people who were coming
00:48:40.840 after you what like an attack of some kind or some just just that they're they're really harshly
00:48:46.860 badmouthing me and trying to step on my reputation in the community and that sort of thing like
00:48:51.660 through through social media well you do have this channel like i'm going to throw it up on
00:48:59.320 the screen again for those who have just joined or didn't get it the first time here it is on
00:49:02.960 instagram you guys are you on other social media as well i'm on facebook as well yeah same name
00:49:07.400 same name okay so this is act underscore alberta teachers you guys go find this and follow it
00:49:13.320 please and while you're there follow me uh too if you haven't but act underscore alberta teachers
00:49:20.240 that's where you go and here's look at all the videos that carrie has managed to put together
00:49:24.100 in the last in the last year here this palestine one i haven't watched that one i couldn't bring
00:49:30.420 myself to watch that one believe it or not but and what about this one here this this rainbow
00:49:34.900 head what's that all about so that was we had a referendum here um on monday and this is a teacher
00:49:40.420 who um runs a something library i can't remember the name of her page but anyways she runs some
00:49:46.560 sort of book library and it's specifically for kids who are like in the the lgbt community and
00:49:52.240 then um and then she was apparently trying to get onto uh work as an elections worker she was with
00:50:00.020 elections, Alberta, she was going to work the referendum, the ballot boxes. And so she did a
00:50:05.820 video I did. So I did sort of a series of videos showing her sequentially. So she posted a video
00:50:11.860 saying, hey, I'm going to be working in elections, Alberta. And she's extremely left leaning. And she
00:50:17.700 really wanted the NDP to win. Or no, sorry, not the NDP, but she wanted the referendum to
00:50:21.940 remain in Canada. Yeah, remain in Canada and all of the other nine to be no's. And anyway, so then 0.54
00:50:28.320 she made another post saying oops didn't know that i had to be non-partisan to work for elections
00:50:33.400 alberta he he he i'm not non-partisan kind of thing and then she did another post saying that
00:50:39.580 she got rejected by elections canada that she was breaking the rules and that they wouldn't allow
00:50:43.900 her to work for elections canada and that she doesn't she swore a whole bunch and she's just
00:50:49.000 like i don't give a heck because um i'd rather be partisan all day long and i drew some parallels
00:50:55.360 about how she was saying she would like to be partisan all day long as a teacher that's a
00:50:59.760 teacher that's a teacher and she wants to be partisan all day long and not have her employer
00:51:03.780 tell her what she can and can't say meanwhile we have amy davidson who isn't being partisan at work
00:51:10.900 and she's getting suspended or put on unassigned duties um for saying something in her own personal
00:51:16.300 life so i was just sort of trying to draw parallels about what the the limits are with
00:51:20.180 the left and the limits are with the right the referendum i i know what they're everybody knows
00:51:26.920 what the results are by now but that must have been fun for the last year going through that as
00:51:30.640 a teacher i'm sure it came up from time to time it doesn't come up in my class at all i teach
00:51:36.660 culinary arts so i teach kids how to cook um and it's not something i talk about with my kids they
00:51:41.180 were probably talking about it in their social studies classes and throughout uh uh everywhere
00:51:44.780 else but i i do stay away from you know what they called that class i'm sorry to interrupt
00:51:48.200 what they called that class when i was going to school they called it they called it bachelor
00:51:52.200 living oh really we learned how to make eggs and grilled cheese oh this is different so okay so
00:52:00.040 this is not a food class i i get offended by that because this is i'm sorry i didn't know that's
00:52:05.260 okay i'm kidding this is a very large commercial kitchen and it's actually a registered uh licensed
00:52:10.260 restaurant so we teach kids how to work in the actual industry so this is a full-on trade
00:52:13.680 um thing and i'm i'm my my own gordon ramsey right in there the kids will tell you i am and uh
00:52:19.460 although i don't swear but um no i teach kids how to how to work in the industry they get a lot of
00:52:24.720 good cooking skills but i'm with you when i was in high school we had home ec and it was also
00:52:28.840 sewing and we had to do home budgeting and uh we had to learn how to sew we had to learn home
00:52:34.500 budgeting and i think i remember just this quick pigs in a blanket was a big one that we had to
00:52:39.320 right so yeah we go beyond that so getting back to the the conversation about the referendum that
00:52:46.680 that must have been interesting amongst all of the teachers i'm sure it came up maybe not with
00:52:50.820 the students so much and maybe it did but you didn't talk about it the teachers don't talk to
00:52:55.420 me about it i so no one kind of you weren't you weren't privy to any of the conversations they
00:53:00.920 were having just by overhearing them making coffee in the corner no well see and i we're in the
00:53:05.840 kitchen so i do make coffee for the entire school uh and and they're welcome to come and have coffee
00:53:10.440 most teachers no longer come and get coffee there are a few uh who still come and get coffee at the
00:53:14.620 kitchen um and we say good morning everything's very pleasant and they're lovely um but no we
00:53:19.480 don't talk politics are there enough students and enough teachers and i'm not even talking about
00:53:28.100 just alberta but maybe across the country to stand up and get rid of this woke nonsense
00:53:33.720 so that's my concern so because if you look at how dug in most of these teachers are
00:53:39.660 or a lot of these teachers are if we were to overhaul the the education system in a way that
00:53:45.380 i really think needs to happen in order to fix it i don't know how many would stay
00:53:50.000 i i don't care if they stay that that's the thing right like if these woke
00:53:55.840 left-wing hardcore rainbow-haired teachers left i think everybody would be the better for it
00:54:02.200 agree that we still have they're putting us in a situation where we're the ones who have to take
00:54:06.840 our kids and go you know what i can't put my kid in the school anymore i mean this is what they're
00:54:10.460 going to learn so i'm going to do the homeschooling the the logical common sense people
00:54:15.840 who are now branded as right-wing extremists are the ones who are being forced into these
00:54:21.800 positions or maybe having to go to private school where things are still relatively normal as
00:54:26.820 opposed to the public school system right but like what what i'm asking i suppose is is there
00:54:31.700 enough of us to stand up force these people out so they're the ones who have to go and i don't
00:54:37.260 think it's going to take that much to be honest with you like i like i said i don't think it's
00:54:41.140 that many that are that are really far far far extremist to the left i think it's just that
00:54:45.340 they're very loud and abrasive and and and there's big consequences for not towing the line i do think
00:54:51.240 most teachers just want to teach their classes and they just want to they they have the best
00:54:56.120 interest of the student in mind and if they could get it i think it's almost like a weight on their 0.98
00:54:59.460 shoulders all of this stuff you know like the the lgbt stuff all of like everything all of these 1.00
00:55:04.580 really heavy issues are like weights on their shoulders and i think they'd like to get rid of 1.00
00:55:07.880 them more than anybody else um so i don't think it would take much to overhaul that entire ideology
00:55:13.400 i really don't think it would take much but um what would it take i mean if it's not much then
00:55:17.900 what what would it have to get rid of the constant messaging we have to give permission i think they
00:55:21.940 need permission just like people ask me for forgiveness and they don't and they want
00:55:25.540 permission to not have to do anything i think we need to give them permission to speak up
00:55:29.380 and and security to do so like you're not going to lose your job you're not going to lose your
00:55:33.940 livelihood you're allowed to speak up you don't have to listen to the bullies i i think they don't
00:55:39.060 want to be i'm sorry i've forgotten the teacher's name from last week in grand prairie amy davidson
00:55:44.540 amy davidson they don't want to be the next amy davidson they don't want to be her yeah so they
00:55:48.880 need permission to do it while staying comfortable i certainly hope that amy she said she's
00:55:55.120 misunderstood or she not her as a person but what she said was being misunderstood and and
00:56:00.660 to me it sounded almost like she was backpedaling a bit on her position and i certainly hope she
00:56:06.120 doesn't just to capitulate to have her job back because i don't think she would no oh sorry to
00:56:11.940 interrupt you no no go ahead go ahead the i've spoken to her um now i've only spoken to her 0.96
00:56:16.580 over text i haven't spoken to her by phone um but she's dug in on her position she's angry as hell 0.98
00:56:21.820 that that people are attacking her because she knows what she said she knows what she meant she
00:56:28.420 knows her heart and she knows exactly what she's like as a teacher and as a person and I I have
00:56:33.040 personally been sent emails from her co-workers from other teachers who say she's just the number
00:56:38.640 one person in the school I she I had one person say she's the reason I come to school she's so
00:56:43.900 fantastic um her character like people have have just given her the best character reviews I guess
00:56:50.040 if you want to call it that. But, um, but when I've spoken to her, she's like, she's angry as
00:56:53.740 hell that people are coming at her about this because she knows exactly what she said and
00:56:56.660 she didn't say anything wrong. So I don't think she's backpedaling. I I'm happy to hear that.
00:57:00.780 And I hope Amy, if you're watching this, I hope you stick to your guns because you know what you
00:57:04.700 do have, even if you, you don't feel it, but you do have an incredible amount of support from
00:57:11.260 people out there. And you can tell that instantly just from shows like this one and teachers who
00:57:17.260 have been in the same kind of position before that you're in now you don't worry about that
00:57:23.060 stuff you go on you stick to your guns you hold your position because if you don't you're going
00:57:27.360 to regret it for the rest of your life i'm not kidding like when we have to you know
00:57:32.660 pull back on our own personal belief standards just to fit into a bad situation
00:57:41.620 it's never going to work well you'll never respect yourself you won't be a little bit of yourself and
00:57:46.840 and frankly like it's not worth it like i i'm i i've said this many times because of course when
00:57:52.620 when the realization was was obvious to me that you know saying things on on social media could
00:57:58.400 get me in some trouble or whatever um you know i can't live with myself not saying something
00:58:03.740 and i think i'm a smart and capable person i have other skills i'll find something to do
00:58:07.360 if it's not teaching i'll find something to do but i need to live with myself and what i say
00:58:12.100 and and and i'm not gonna lie i'm gonna say what i observe but um yeah i have to say what's true
00:58:18.780 do you mind if i uh run something past you i want to get your opinion on sure um there's this kid
00:58:25.340 isaac simpson and a lot of you guys watching this right now you know who he is that's anita
00:58:29.580 krishna our friend anita's son uh who has been suspended from his school for a youtube video he
00:58:36.560 made and i'm going to play you an excerpt of his youtube video you guys watch this i'll come back
00:58:42.000 and tell you what's happened to him in the last day have a look here we like many others have to
00:58:47.120 take a course on bc first peoples in order to graduate we also had an assembly today discussing
00:58:54.160 truth and reconciliation today i'm exposing what is being taught in schools
00:59:00.080 Land acknowledgement.
00:59:30.080 superficial and thoracically misinformed you know we have to uncover the truth first
00:59:35.200 it's totally relearning a structure that we were taught and it's interesting for you all because
00:59:42.540 you're learning the truth okay right there this little excerpt of what is being force-fed to
00:59:47.860 these kids right there you can see that is critical race theory this little conversation
00:59:54.800 between these three people here it's critical race theory being jammed down their throats in
00:59:59.180 an assembly.
01:00:29.180 Land back. Do not be afraid to use the term land back.
01:00:34.760 Every child matters, except those in the womb and those killed by Lindsay Clancy.
01:00:39.340 Black people matter. The only people who don't matter are you. You don't matter to these people. 0.99
01:00:45.040 That is Isaac Simpson. You can see all of his stuff, you guys, on YouTube. Isaac Simpson's
01:00:50.800 Flying Circus. So what has happened in the last day? I need to put out a video here.
01:00:55.180 isaac was given a tier three level three suspension from his school this is the most
01:01:03.540 severe tier of school discipline reserved for serious misconduct safety threats or chronic
01:01:09.280 behavioral issues and it's all because of one thing he refuses to take his videos now yeah
01:01:17.660 and words are violence words are violence now that's why he got tier three
01:01:22.060 like what and he refuses to back down on this
01:01:25.620 oh lord anita wants him to just have a great school experience and and she explained it in
01:01:31.800 her video very well she said you know school is not just about learning it's about a social
01:01:35.780 environment it's about engaging with other people your age your peers it's about enjoying like i
01:01:42.340 remember my school years with fondness especially high school you know and and how would it suck
01:01:48.600 if in 20 years time the kid didn't have that opportunity because he said something that
01:01:56.840 these teachers or maybe it's the principal I think he said it was the principal or maybe the
01:02:02.160 superintendent doesn't like yeah like this is compelled speech this is what they're they're
01:02:07.760 putting on these kids right now and if you don't conform you can't come back yeah what are your
01:02:14.280 thoughts on that first of all i think he's an incredibly brave kid i mean she raised him right
01:02:19.760 what a good mom and uh and what a smart critical thinker that he's he's proving himself to be so i
01:02:26.560 i just really applaud um his bravery and i'm glad that he didn't back down and you know what i really
01:02:31.340 really love i really love that his mom supported him because a lot of parents would see any kind
01:02:35.320 of suspension any kind of pushback from the from the school and they would tell their kid to back
01:02:39.740 down and not only did she not tell him to back down but she full-on supported him as if um so
01:02:46.020 so basically if you think of it like he got a grade he got a failing grade by his principal
01:02:50.500 that he did something bad and his mom celebrated that failing grade like it was an a because he
01:02:55.040 got that standing at first principles and that's how you support your kid that's how you get people
01:03:01.240 to be brave is when you when you reward it right and so that's how you reinforce behavior um and
01:03:07.480 and so really, really good kid. I'm, I'm not at all surprised that he got suspended at that level.
01:03:14.000 Because it's just exactly what you said, it's critical theory, and it's violence,
01:03:17.280 words of violence. And it made people feel unsafe. And all of the trigger words you want to use out
01:03:22.540 there, that they're gonna that they're gonna consider this to be a heinous crime. But I don't
01:03:28.960 think it's unusual. Yeah, unfortunately, I think we're going to see a lot more of it before
01:03:35.420 people start to stand up i hope that's soon because this person is still teaching school
01:03:43.800 this uh carrie lemieux and i'm going to show you guys in case you know the name is not
01:03:51.140 familiar to you this is carrie lemieux the teacher here that i think he's a shop teacher
01:03:56.780 teaches in hamilton still this is him on the left and this is you remember this guy obviously
01:04:03.360 i've done many posts about him yeah yeah this is the he's still teaching yeah so what that is
01:04:09.560 in my opinion and i i'm very confident in my opinion of this is he's displaying something
01:04:16.020 called autogynephilia and i don't know if you know what that is but autogynephilia is a is a sexual
01:04:20.040 um fetish i guess you could call it and that's where men get off with people seeing them
01:04:28.680 play out being being a woman so men get off pretending to be a woman and seeing people's 0.89
01:04:35.160 reactions to it and so he is enacting his sexual fetish using children as his audience and some
01:04:45.400 parents are allowing it i know that there have been some parents who've complained and maybe
01:04:48.320 even pulled their kids i'm not aware of any but they may have um and the and the school's backing
01:04:53.960 him so the school's allowing him to play out his sexual fetish in front of children and calling it
01:04:59.200 normal and then a lot of people want to say we're not hurting children right have you now i know
01:05:06.740 you're in a high school um but have you got any colleagues who have been forced to put their
01:05:13.220 students through these drag queen story hours not that i know we've had we've had um drag queen
01:05:20.080 professional development activities for teachers we I've never seen any so actually but this is
01:05:26.760 interesting so now this is not affiliated with my school board or with my school in any way but my
01:05:30.380 school is right next to a library and the library was in the news in Calgary I think in 2022 or 2023
01:05:37.300 because they were having a dry queen story hour and a bunch of families were there with a lot of
01:05:42.980 children and a father went and he was also a pastor but a father and pastor went and and
01:05:47.540 shouted something from the back of the room in protest of this drag queen story hour two men
01:05:53.500 now this is what made me really angry two men who were fathers of the children who were there
01:05:57.340 to watch picked him up violently carried him out the door and threw him onto the concrete violently
01:06:03.520 to kick him i forget who that was who was that that was that was the pastor i don't remember
01:06:07.820 his name pastor hildebrand maybe maybe maybe i'd have to look it up that might be that sounds
01:06:12.680 familiar and and you guys know write it down in comments please yeah and the the two gentlemen
01:06:19.160 who threw him out physically picked him up and threw him out onto the concrete and it's on video
01:06:22.960 they were fine he was charged the the pastor was charged and that happened right next to my school
01:06:30.380 now we haven't had any drag queen story hour drag queen activities in the school or to do with any
01:06:35.840 of our students at my school but we have had drag queen professional development that my dues pay
01:06:42.120 for and i've complained about and i've done posts on it and i was i was actually asked by one of my
01:06:46.480 by the president of my ata to take it down and i said no um but yeah we paid for drag queen bingo
01:06:52.700 uh we pay for it like every six months what yeah so teachers can go play drag queen bingo
01:06:59.240 and that's their professional development how is that professionally developing because they're
01:07:04.300 getting together and and talking about their struggles being a teacher they're relating to
01:07:11.080 each other we're we're hearing these the problems you know amy davidson and and jim mcmurtry and
01:07:17.280 and all of these great teachers i mean mcmurtry for 40 years like i said earlier he's one of the
01:07:22.880 most respected teachers in all of british columbia yeah and and we're seeing people like that um
01:07:30.500 carrie lemieux who were still able to teach there's i think this story came out of winnipeg
01:07:35.920 i haven't got it handy here but there was a teacher whose students found photos of him
01:07:43.220 naked and engaging in sexual activities on reddit right and what happened to this teacher was he got
01:07:52.380 a two-week suspension and now he's back at work yeah right for for sexually exposing himself
01:07:58.620 and in the middle of the act i'm not sure if it was video or just still photos
01:08:05.240 uh two weeks suspension back at work and able to teach children like where are we going here
01:08:12.220 it's it's ass backwards you know like i mean we can look at the people who were down um in ottawa
01:08:17.100 during the the freedom convoy and how long it took them to sort out all their legal troubles 0.99
01:08:22.300 and then you look at people same thing you'll see people who have you know murdered raped
01:08:25.900 molested and and they're getting off on parole or with a fine or like a year you know so i mean it's
01:08:32.240 it's, it's, yeah, the world's upside down.
01:08:36.840 Carrie, um, besides Instagram, where else are you?
01:08:40.440 Facebook as well under the same name?
01:08:42.080 Yeah, I'm on Facebook.
01:08:42.740 Yeah.
01:08:42.920 Same, same name.
01:08:43.760 Yep.
01:08:44.320 Okay.
01:08:44.640 So it's act guys.
01:08:45.940 You follow her because she like, how often do you make videos anyway?
01:08:49.440 Once a day, twice a day sometimes.
01:08:51.140 Oh, really?
01:08:51.960 Yeah.
01:08:52.280 Very prolific.
01:08:53.180 That's excellent.
01:08:54.060 Act underscore Alberta teachers, find her on Instagram and go ahead and find her on Facebook.
01:09:00.040 I'm sure you dropped the videos on both of them.
01:09:02.240 Yeah. Yeah. Um, I want to thank you for coming on and joining the show tonight and let's stay in
01:09:07.280 touch. And, you know, when something like this comes up again, and undoubtedly it will, we,
01:09:11.460 I'd love to have you on to discuss it. Thank you. Oh, I appreciate you inviting me. Thank you so
01:09:15.240 much for the opportunity. Okay, Carrie, have a great night and we'll talk to you again soon.
01:09:18.940 There's Carrie Janakos. You guys have ACT underscore Alberta teachers. I've got a little 0.92
01:09:24.280 bit more for you. I'm coming right back in 60 seconds.
01:09:32.240 We'll be right back.
01:10:02.240 We'll be right back.
01:10:32.240 okay welcome back so we're in what day two now of the the post-referendum era
01:10:39.480 in alberta and danielle smith is now trying to solidify her party and this is what happened
01:10:46.500 today uh you know i'm i'm of the mind you guys that right now all conservatives in alberta
01:10:54.920 the first priority before anything else happens before any more talk of separation
01:11:00.120 moves to the front burner is and i know how this is going to sound but i certainly hope you
01:11:05.720 understand what i'm trying to say here is you got to keep naheed nenshi out of power i mean the ndp
01:11:12.500 just a couple of months ago won a by-election in a very strong upc stronghold sorry ucp stronghold
01:11:22.440 they won i mean in past years you you could throw a cat wearing a blue shirt into that writing and
01:11:31.220 the cat would win the ndp won that writing i'm not sure exactly how the latest polls look but
01:11:38.940 it's been something like 48 to 42 in favor of the united conservative party of alberta
01:11:45.540 and there's an election next year and you cannot allow the NDP to ever get back in power
01:11:53.840 ever you think that teacher situation is going to get any better under them look what's going
01:11:59.860 on in BC right now with the NDP and power there for the last eight years it's outrageous so what
01:12:06.300 Smith did today is said if there's any separatists here in the party you got to tow the pro-Canada
01:12:14.200 line or find a new party. And I think, you know, she was trying to send the message that I just
01:12:19.960 sent, which is we now have to focus on keeping the NDP out. She said this in a video address.
01:12:30.020 She says they can't risk a split in the ranks that would open the door to an opposition NDP win
01:12:35.960 in next fall's general election. Smith also says anyone running for the party or serving it in an
01:12:41.380 official capacity, must tow the pro-Canada line. But one constituency president says he plans to
01:12:47.740 defy that. And that's Mitch Silvestri, the president of the UCP's Bonneville Cold Lake
01:12:52.140 St. Paul constituency and a high-profile separation activist. You guys know Mitch,
01:12:57.520 says he's going to continue taking or talking up the concept of leaving Canada. He also says
01:13:02.280 he's not going anywhere and that, well, Smith may be the head of government. She does not control 0.95
01:13:07.120 the party. That happens at the AGMs at the grassroots level. Smith's comments come after 0.97
01:13:12.920 about 75% of Albertans voted to stay in Canada in Monday's referendum. Okay, so look at, I don't
01:13:19.900 think that anybody should drop the ball on sovereignty. I think that that must continue,
01:13:28.140 but it's got to be put on the back burner in the immediate future. You cannot let Nahid Nenshi.
01:13:34.180 Can you imagine Nahid Nenshi being the premier of Alberta?
01:13:41.920 These Marxists, and also remember these neo-Marxist guys, they're on a timeline.
01:13:46.260 2030 is not that long off.
01:13:48.580 Anybody who's elected now is going to be in power in 2030 going forward.
01:13:55.600 Our friend Jason James from the Brave New Normal podcast wrote this on X.
01:14:01.380 you know it's funny i i like reading and listening to his stuff because he's so eloquent
01:14:08.300 in such a guttural way jason james he says alberta made its decision and now we'll have
01:14:17.400 to accept its place as the anchor on a sinking ship i don't want to hear anything from albertans
01:14:24.220 about equalization payments or climate change or immigration or any of the other liberal policies
01:14:30.520 that are destroying this province ever again.
01:14:34.600 You want to be Canadian? 0.99
01:14:36.340 And now you'll be Canadian,
01:14:37.900 all the way to the bottom of Mark Carney's globalist abyss.
01:14:42.660 80% of Alberta is so naively married to a national identity
01:14:46.700 that doesn't exist,
01:14:48.500 they sunk the only opportunity they had to break away
01:14:51.680 from a federal project that has consistently ripped them off
01:14:54.800 and ignored them.
01:14:56.380 Now you're here for good.
01:14:58.060 Pay your taxes to Ottawa. 1.00
01:14:59.840 accept the constant stream of immigrants and shut the f up you have no voice your votes don't matter 1.00
01:15:09.180 but your dollars do you'll keep paying to keep canada solvent like you always have and for the 1.00
01:15:16.160 other 20 of us we're now just passengers in this descent to nowhere elbows up retards
01:15:23.440 and as far as Mark Carney is concerned well he's not ruling out giving Alberta more authority over 0.95
01:15:31.920 immigration along the lines of a deal Ottawa signed with Quebec in the early 1990s not ruling
01:15:37.080 it out that doesn't mean he's absolutely going to grant it I just not let's not talk about it
01:15:42.500 right now we've got other things to do reporters on Parliament Hill asked Carney today if Ottawa
01:15:48.920 could reach an agreement on immigration powers with Alberta similar to the one with Quebec
01:15:52.980 he said we'll see he added that quebec is distinct because of its culture and language
01:15:59.760 and said ottawa will also talk with the other provinces about immigration level so once again
01:16:04.680 we're letting politicians define provinces define what culture and language is defined the word
01:16:14.440 distinct you think alberta's not a distinct culture i do i'm two provinces over
01:16:23.560 and yeah there's a lot of similarities there's a lot of similarities in human beings in general
01:16:29.120 but when you're from the same country especially in the western part of the country there's a lot
01:16:34.620 of people who think along the same lines you know alberta saskatchewan uh manitobans northwestern
01:16:41.300 Ontario, people like us, BC interior. But Alberta stands apart from that particular base.
01:16:55.020 So does Saskatchewan, for that matter. Pilsner, anybody? So does Manitoba, for that matter.
01:17:01.420 So we're the same but different. Emmanuel Macron, the president of France,
01:17:07.720 France today said now I'm sure that you guys have seen the videos from the past month
01:17:16.420 all over France cities are burning to the ground buses ambulances police cars you know businesses
01:17:24.060 are being broken into looted streets are left filthy burned disgusting all because of a student
01:17:32.280 protest because because these kids just demanded less workload and more space in their classrooms
01:17:40.240 they got so mad they decided to burn an entire country down sure we know who's responsible for
01:17:48.120 it macron says it's not really happening well not all of it he said a lot of it is an illusion
01:17:56.160 created by AI. Here, the subtitles are at the bottom of this video. See for yourself.
01:18:26.160 who showed scenes that never happened in France.
01:18:29.280 We have people who explained that we had been invaded by migrants and Islamists,
01:18:32.840 which is totally false. 0.92
01:18:56.160 fools unbelievable that any world leader would come out and say something like that his first 0.96
01:19:02.560 address to his own people was only two days ago this after what a celine dion concert over the 0.99
01:19:07.860 weekend so he and his what 30 year older wife who may or may not be a woman they went to go
01:19:15.940 see a concert while france was burning the ground does that remind you of anybody that
01:19:21.620 used to be in power in canada somebody like say oh i don't know
