00:06:30.000 hey how you doing everybody and welcome to shadow at night this is friday march 15th
00:06:56.580 2024. On the show tonight, the story of Kayla Pollack, the young woman who, 37 years old,
00:07:03.100 two years ago in February, she was trying to get out of bed, start her day.
00:07:08.980 This was fairly recently after taking her third vaccine. She'll explain all of this tonight.
00:07:18.420 She lost the use of her legs. Her legs just did not work. Now, I've experienced this once in my 0.97
00:07:25.760 life before for about 30 seconds. I remember one morning, this is 10, 12 years ago, waking up one
00:07:33.180 morning, trying to get out of bed and not being able to move my legs. And I went, what the hell
00:07:40.200 is this? And it was just the way I was sleeping. I pinched a nerve or something and everything took
00:07:45.860 care of itself. And I've never had that problem again. Well, Kayla has not recovered and she's
00:07:55.040 going to tell us in the show tonight that she never will. This is a young, active, single
00:08:00.780 mother, 37 years old, animal trainer, teacher's aide, who will never walk again. Not just
00:08:10.380 that, but she has very, very limited use of her arms, which classifies her as quadriplegic.
00:08:16.860 and yet she is remarkably strong you're going to see all of this in just a few minutes we recorded
00:08:27.580 the interview this afternoon it's 90 minutes long so what i've decided to do tonight is to
00:08:34.020 give everybody access for the entire run of the interview on the website we're going to keep it
00:08:40.420 live on social media until it's over 90 minutes we may repeat ourselves a few times
00:08:48.460 um in spots you're you're gonna laugh in spots you may feel like crying
00:08:57.500 we run the gamut tonight with kayla pollack and that's coming up in just a couple of minutes i've
00:09:05.400 put her give, send, go information into the comments on Facebook and on Rumble,
00:09:13.740 and I'll do the same thing on X in just a second.
00:09:16.580 And the reason I say that is because, and I know it seems like you guys watching right now,
00:09:21.280 everybody wants money, everybody needs money, everybody wants a donation.
00:09:24.620 I'm donating to this, I'm donating to that, and I get it, I get it.
00:09:27.620 Shadow wants $9.99 a month for his website, I get it, I get it.
00:09:31.320 I mean, you can only deal with so much, I totally understand that.
00:09:34.480 you've got all kinds of other things monetarily we need to worry about so
00:09:38.440 you got to pick your spots I completely understand but some of the things that I
00:09:43.600 found out about Kayla's situation for example a dog she needs a dog not just
00:09:55.660 as a pet this is a you know one of those comfort animals but it's not just a
00:10:02.620 comfort animal. It's so much more than that. I mean, if Kayla falls, if something happens while
00:10:08.760 she's alone and by herself on the floor, unable to get up, unable to call 911, unable to call
00:10:16.760 anybody, the dog will actually, the dog is trained for emergencies like that. And a dog like that
00:10:24.340 costs, I was mind blown when I found out today, $70,000 on top of all of the alterations. She 0.96
00:10:32.540 needs to her apartment you know door widenings um the chair she's in is thousands tens of thousands 0.99
00:10:43.220 of dollars so yeah i mean whatever she's getting right now a disability certainly doesn't cover
00:10:50.020 at all she's got a lawsuit active we're going to find out all about this and if you guys want to
00:10:55.080 make a donation again the give send go link is in the comments on facebook and on rumble right now
00:11:00.900 I'm going to put it on X in just a moment so you guys there can access it.
00:11:05.660 I want to thank you all for being here tonight.
00:11:07.400 If you're watching on Facebook, like Chuck from Kamloops and Linda from Trenton,

00:11:45.740 This is this is important. You know, I and I realize I'm starting to say that every night,
00:11:52.000 but it seems as though every night show becomes more and more and more important for people to
00:11:57.020 hear this information you may have heard about it but you haven't heard it directly from the
00:12:02.840 horse's mouth like last night with tony olenek and the night before with chris carbert those
00:12:07.220 two guys are still stuck in lockup in lethbridge awaiting pre-trial starting next week this is
00:12:12.460 the coots four situation and if you haven't heard those shows from last night and the night before
00:12:18.700 i suggest you go ahead and watch them they are very important it's coming right from the horse's
00:12:23.180 mouths. Those guys telling us stories directly from lockup. They're still there. I spoke to them
00:12:28.940 on the phone and they're telling me as they're sitting in jail what life is like for them. Go
00:12:35.760 watch those shows. Tonight is another important one. This woman was injured for the rest of her
00:12:44.500 life from taking this shot even as the government still says it's a miracle of modern science and 0.97
00:12:54.020 it's completely safe and effective that is absolute crap we know this and we've seen it time
00:12:59.660 and time and time again so like and share get this out get this out if you're watching on x it's a
00:13:05.760 repost in a heart and if you're watching on rumble hello rumble tonight i i haven't forgotten about
00:13:10.160 you guys braveheart and lumium five is watching tonight from throw shoe alberta hello rosemary
00:13:16.240 and chilliwack and sass 208s here again hello little brown jug and notable and tutor 53 and
00:13:23.600 all you great rumble shadow watchers uh thank you for being here tonight don't forget to share this

00:13:32.760 highlights the url above the screen from there you can copy and paste to your favorite social media
00:13:37.660 email groups and you know what guys another big thing you know and last night we also talked about
00:13:44.480 the big protest the big carbon tax nationwide carbon tax protest that's coming up on april the
00:13:50.500 first all across the country at provincial border locations find that group and join it on facebook
00:13:56.160 it's called nationwide carbon tax protest since last night show they've gained another five or
00:14:04.200 six thousand followers in that group i think they're up to 37 000 so find join find out the
00:14:09.740 location nearest you and plan to be there on april 1st there's strength in numbers the more the
00:14:14.360 merrier obviously and don't be scared about csis or the rcmp we're going to be peaceful we're going
00:14:21.060 to be calm we're going to be peaceful we're going to make a point obviously the media is going to 0.96
00:14:25.960 call you all kinds of names right-wing extremist white nationalist racist bigot the whole thing 0.64
00:14:33.000 of course they'll do it in their left-wing corporate media way don't worry about them 0.96
00:14:37.220 they are a non-factor in all of this the bottom line is we have to send the world economic forum
00:14:43.480 a message and that message is to send it through justin trudeau get him out is pierre poly have
00:14:49.020 any better maybe maybe not but the bottom line is we're going to keep an eye on him anyway and
00:14:53.980 in the next four years we're going to develop our own thing i believe things are looking up
00:14:58.720 for us for our country for the world for that matter but we need to get more and more people
00:15:04.360 involved you guys know this you've heard me say this before you say it to each other you try to
00:15:08.660 bring more people in i commend you for that thank you for not being just a passenger but being an
00:15:13.760 active participant in waking up the world because we need everybody right now we need everybody
00:15:21.440 the shadow at night live stream is brought to you by candidate nanosilver canada nanosilver.ca

00:15:58.140 and yeast. It also works with those types of infections as well, from what we understand.
00:16:04.580 Dry and damaged skin without any harsh chemicals or anything artificial. The silver biotics formula
00:16:09.920 is a winner. Hang on just one second here.

00:16:43.460 better in just a short while so we are streaming to all locations tonight and again for those of

00:17:18.380 page of kayla pollock she needs a service dog in a wheelchair van now again these things are not
00:17:24.520 inexpensive kayla and i discussed this in the interview that you're about to see shortly she's
00:17:30.600 almost ten thousand dollars short of her goal and that's only for those two things
00:17:34.480 you know what the government's offering a maximum for people who have been proven to be
00:17:40.320 vaccine injured and they have to jump through all kinds of flaming hoops to prove that a maximum of
00:17:46.600 $250,000 you're injured for life you're never going to walk again you're never going to work
00:17:52.420 again here's $250,000 see ya really really that's what you're offering yeah so that's obviously not
00:18:02.360 going to stand she does have a lawsuit right now against the pharmaceutical company that did this
00:18:09.180 to her i'm going to flash up at the bottom of the screen um all night long the website address
00:18:16.600 for her give send go and again i've left the links i've left the links guys in the comments
00:18:22.720 on rumble and on facebook and so here is the interview my audio is crap for whatever reason
00:18:33.180 in this interview but i don't do a lot of talking kayla does most of the talking in the interview
00:18:38.640 this evening so we started off by discussing what all of this new attention in the last month and a
00:18:47.400 half or two months has done for her here we go breaking his dad had him for the rest and uh you
00:18:55.400 know what it's um it was just you know a mental health break from because this is very political
00:19:01.560 and you know i never ever wanted to become a political advocate or that was not my goal in
00:19:08.480 life if i i didn't want to become a politician or or have to do these things in life but i've been
00:19:14.700 in this position before um where i kind of had to advocate for my rights i've been to the human
00:19:21.300 rights tribunal over having a service dog i you know i've you know i've i've been in foster care
00:19:30.020 so I've been part of that bureaucracy um I've sort of had to you know fight for my rights my
00:19:39.460 whole life and so you know when this happened to me um I don't know if if Drew ever told you the
00:19:48.140 story but I was laying in bed one day and I was mad and I'm like why did this happen to me and
00:19:53.600 you know and I'm thinking like there has to be a reason for this like this just doesn't happen to
00:19:59.100 someone for no reason that's my belief and I'm here I was this is a year ago and I thought I
00:20:06.880 already know what I'm supposed to do I knew a year ago that I was supposed to do this and that I was
00:20:14.700 supposed to speak out and I I shoved it in and so I thought okay well maybe you can write a book
00:20:19.900 well you can't type because of your you know your your injury you cannot sit on a keyboard and just
00:20:26.200 sit there and type like that is not physically possible and I'm like and your phone if you were
00:20:31.200 talking to your phone you'd be writing a book and it would have you'd have no idea what it says
00:20:36.900 because your autocorrect would be so messed up that you'd spend more time editing the book and
00:20:44.340 trying to figure out what you wrote and you know I'm a good writer but I'm like I don't have that
00:20:49.900 And I don't have the money to pay someone to help me. So I just was waiting for basically waiting for it to land on my lap, which it wasn't going to happen. And I knew that. And so I'm like, suffering in my own little bubble where I'm inside of my house all the time, and doing nothing, literally.
00:21:13.080 and you know depression will hit you like you know out of nowhere no matter who you are no
00:21:19.280 matter how strong you are whether you have a history of it or not um and it started to really
00:21:26.380 sink in and it was you know like when when the like you know as you know they offered me me
00:21:32.200 and uh medical three times isn't it like didn't they and you know it's medical assistance and
00:21:39.220 dying and I won't lie I highly considered it the reason I didn't take it is because I only had 90
00:21:45.420 days to to and I was like well I'm not ready to say goodbye to my son in 90 days so I'll just put
00:21:52.000 it off I'll just put it off it's there I'll just put it off because there are definite times where
00:21:59.000 you're you're in this position where you're like I just can't do this anymore I can't take the pain
00:22:03.220 I can't take the suffering I can't take the fact that I wake up traumatized every morning
00:22:11.620 um I wake up and I open my eyes and I'm like oh my god you're alone in your apartment you're
00:22:18.840 paralyzed and if someone doesn't come which has happened to me many times then you are completely
00:22:26.080 helpless like you are even an infant at most stages can roll over at a certain stage you can't
00:22:34.120 even do that you can't move to get off painful limbs and then you can end up with pressure sores
00:22:41.180 and you can die from that and you're diabetic so I think that it's just super it's scarier now than
00:22:49.740 it was the day I woke up on that February 22nd when I woke up completely paralyzed from the
00:22:55.780 down. It's actually scarier now. Can you take us back to that day? I read the newspaper article
00:23:02.680 that went back, I think, to July of 2022, and I was surprised that we're only hearing your story
00:23:10.940 maybe in the last month, month and a half, and I think that has everything to do with Drew over at
00:23:16.040 Veterans for Freedom, so I want to thank him for doing this and for helping you and for helping you
00:23:22.680 to get the word out this is very important stuff we're dealing with here kayla um i know yeah the
00:23:28.420 article that i read uh said that you were out for a walk and your legs just gave up that was the
00:23:35.340 first time um well actually it was it was just days after my my vaccine that um no i got out of bed
00:23:45.120 and I just fell to the floor and I had it I've had a cesarean section so when you have a c-section
00:23:52.820 um they they essentially are paralyzing you and so when you after you have the baby you're still
00:23:59.440 paralyzed so I actually do know what it feels like to be paralyzed based on that and it felt
00:24:05.760 like my legs were paralyzed and I remember saying that out loud because my boyfriend ended up having
00:24:14.220 to drive home and I'm like I can't get up from where you came from work and I'm like I can't
00:24:20.640 get up and then all of a sudden I was like okay and I could just get up and there was no pain
00:24:27.800 there was no other symptoms it was like I thought maybe you know when you get out of bed and you
00:24:34.100 pinch a nerve or something or you know I just thought okay at first I thought that and then
00:24:40.300 when it happened the second time i was with my son and or he he was he was he came in and he
00:24:47.860 thought oh mom's on the floor so he ran and got me juice thinking oh maybe she is having a low
00:24:54.360 blood sugar and i'm like no honey good thinking that kid like came up with that that's actually
00:24:59.540 really good for well he was seven at the time right he was seven yeah but he he's very medically
00:25:04.220 in tune um i remember he thought i'd put him in a dumb class in kindergarten because they didn't
00:25:10.600 know what a pancreas was the rest of his class and i'm like honey they don't know because not 0.97
00:25:16.240 all their parents are medical like knowledge and they don't tell them so they're not dumb honey
00:25:22.660 like you can't use that word so you know it was sort of funny but um he's like well the teacher
00:25:29.660 knew and I'm like okay well she's a teacher so um anyway yeah he thought it was that I said no
00:25:36.300 honey I said it's not my blood sugar I'm okay um and that's when I started thinking okay you need
00:25:42.620 to call like your doctor and get a neurologist I knew as soon as I got up that if I went to the
00:25:48.800 hospital they were gonna say because this hospital is notorious for this come back when it happens
00:25:57.320 again. They will not give you an MRI. They will not give you a neurologist. They will see you in
00:26:02.840 the ER and tell you, well, you know, you probably have some sort of pinched nerve or some kind of
00:26:07.760 issue and they're going to tell you it's in your head. And I knew that. And then it was February
00:26:14.580 22nd. I had woken up and I was ready. I worked at a school and I was doing like substitute EA work
00:26:24.980 at the time um there were a lot of people off during the pan this is during the pandemic
00:26:33.540 okay so some of you are saying that you can't hear me and i told you at the beginning of the show
00:26:39.620 that in this recorded interview my audio is absolute crap it doesn't matter what i'm saying
00:26:47.460 it matters what kayla is saying all right so if you can't hear me 0.80
00:26:54.520 that whatever i mean turn it up but it doesn't matter what i'm saying please listen to kayla
00:27:01.600 and not to me i apologize for the bad audio but there's nothing i can do about it now
00:27:08.460 so let's get back to it and there were a lot of people just off from uh
00:27:15.060 um I guess they were basically on um medical leave and uh my co-worker was so I would be able
00:27:24.340 to take her full shifts so to give up my shift somebody else would take my shift I'd take her
00:27:30.580 full shift um which I I enjoyed better so um I was waking up early to uh to make sure I get that
00:27:39.840 phone call so I could take the shift and kind of first come first serve. So I knew they called me
00:27:47.660 first, but you have to answer the phone. And I remember waking up thinking, oh, you need to get
00:27:51.240 up, get your coffee. And I went to move and I'm like, you are quadriplegic right now. Like you
00:27:58.180 cannot move from the neck down. So I thought, okay, I'll yell for help. And I tried to yell
00:28:04.500 for help. And there was not anything coming out. And I had no idea that when you become paralyzed,
00:28:15.020 your lung function is also affected because you don't have the breathing muscles to breathe
00:28:22.180 properly. So your breath is not there. And it's very paralyzed, especially on one side. So it
00:28:30.580 still is um but uh um like god forbid i ever get a bad cold or something i mean those are the things
00:28:40.520 that kill quadriplegics i mean that's how christopher reeves died that's the things that
00:28:46.460 you don't want to you don't want to get you know pneumonia or you know things like that that turn
00:28:52.500 into that because you can't cough properly so at the time i did not know this but i did know
00:28:57.840 what quadriplegic was and I was able to get I trained service dogs I was able to get our dog
00:29:05.640 I was able to whisper to the dog to go get my boyfriend and he had no idea what was going on
00:29:12.620 the dog so the dog was going up the stairs down the stairs up the stairs down the stairs so he
00:29:18.580 my boyfriend came upstairs to say what is wrong with the dog like dog's acting weird I don't know
00:29:23.620 what's wrong with him because he has a routine normally he stays with him or he comes like
00:29:28.300 there's a routine and the dog was not following the routine so he was smart enough to know
00:29:33.220 something was not right with the dog and he thought it was something to do with the dog and I
00:29:37.640 he came into the room and I said in a quiet voice I said you need to call 9-1-1 and you need to tell
00:29:44.380 them that I'm quadriplegic and I knew that he didn't know what that word meant and I knew he
00:29:49.320 didn't know how to spell it so I knew he wasn't going to panic and I didn't panic because I
00:29:55.400 actually believed that this was something that could be fixed I don't because I didn't break
00:30:02.000 anything I didn't fall out of bed I didn't have any pain I didn't I did not think about the vaccine
00:30:10.300 at the time. I did, however, start in the, they called, so he called 911 and the paramedics were
00:30:19.440 great. They came and they put me on a stretcher the right way with a backboard and the brace and
00:30:24.400 all of that. And I get to the hospital and a doctor comes and sees me. And as soon as he
00:30:31.180 evaluates me he takes the backboard off and the brace off and he says well you're not paralyzed
00:30:41.140 this is in your head and this is a psychiatric condition that sometimes happen to people when
00:30:51.340 they're under a lot of stress and I'm like I'm not under a lot of stress at all and he's like well
00:30:56.860 I'm like is this like kind of like when people have a false pregnancy he's like yes exactly like
00:31:08.500 that they believe their body they can develop symptoms of pregnancy and I'm like well what do
00:31:13.740 I do to stop it he's like only you can fix it only you can decide that I'm like well how long
00:31:18.660 will it take he's like that's really up to you and I'm thinking this would be wonderful but 0.99
00:31:26.500 you're an idiot and i'm thinking this is not adding up in my head and so i'm there 0.99
00:31:38.200 i'm sorry to interrupt you kayla how could he even say such a thing if he had only just taken 1.00
00:31:43.320 off the brace in the backboard did he examine you examine me yeah oh yeah but the thing is
00:31:48.640 I had two reflexes. And the thing is, if you're an incomplete quadriplegic, meaning your spinal
00:31:57.180 cord is damaged, not broken in half, but it's damaged in certain places, you can have certain
00:32:05.680 movements and certain reflexes and not others. Even if you break your back, that is possible.
00:32:11.200 That is very common. So any doctor should have known this, like this is very common.
00:32:18.640 but all of a sudden I had just all of a sudden out of nowhere this pain in my neck and I remember
00:32:27.180 the pain being so bad that even though I had like no lung capacity it was like involuntary but it
00:32:35.920 was like my body was trying to scream over the pain because the pain was so bad and I remember
00:32:42.800 them trying to shut me up I was in the hallway and the nurses were pissed off at me because
00:32:49.700 I'm screaming and remember I'm the psych they're waiting for a psych consult so I'm the crazy
00:32:56.960 person on the stretcher that's now screaming and I'm like I'm in pain so the doctor's like you know
00:33:03.820 what she's screaming give her a bunch of morphine and so they gave me a bunch of morphine and it
00:33:08.960 worked so I stopped screaming and as soon as it would wear off I'd start screaming again and it
00:33:17.620 was like clockwork and I and I realized even in the drug I mean I was very drugged I started to
00:33:25.480 put some of it together and I started to think I there's something this is not in my head this is
00:33:33.520 this is serious and this has something to do with those other two incidents which I did mention to
00:33:38.660 the doctor kayla how long did this go on in the hospital with this this cycle of morphine
00:33:43.700 stop screaming where his off start screaming was that like days i don't know i i don't know
00:33:50.260 um according to the records it was hours i i'm not i don't i don't recall all i do remember
00:34:00.120 is that there's this doctor and he came over to me and he and he whispered i remember very clearly
00:34:06.380 that he whispered and he said I have a friend at home who's a radiologist and he is willing to look
00:34:12.740 at your scans right now I do not think you're crazy I think there's something seriously wrong
00:34:17.620 with you but I want to find out what it is will you go in the MRI scanner and I'm like absolutely
00:34:22.280 let's go now and so he took me right away like we went in the MRI scanner and I was in there for a
00:34:27.640 long time. And they did, you know, with contrast, without contrast. And lo and behold, the next
00:34:36.440 thing you know, the doctors finally started paying attention. I had a lesion that was so close to
00:34:44.500 cutting off my breathing, that I would have been on a ventilator for the rest of my life.
00:34:52.360 and of course this is they they diagnosed it as um as they didn't know what it was so they didn't
00:35:02.640 diagnose it i guess this is not correct at first so they had to rule out a bunch of things so they
00:35:09.060 had to rule out cancer they had to rule out ms they had to rule out infection so unfortunately
00:35:17.360 I still had feeling even though I didn't have movement so I had to have spinal tap they missed
00:35:23.440 so I did another one they missed so I did another one I could feel all of this and
00:35:29.240 you know I mean I had it when I was pregnant and with the c-section but they didn't miss
00:35:37.640 um so it wasn't as bad it was like a one-time thing they just kept missing
00:35:43.520 I don't know. Anyway. So it turns out, you know, I'm being told the next day, there's no infection. There's, there's no MS. There's no cancer, because I had a whole cancer workup. So they did, they looked at everything in my body. And there's no, you know, this, that or the other.
00:36:10.600 And then I started to say to my boyfriend, start recording.
00:36:16.800 I know what this is.
00:36:19.640 And I said, you know what?
00:36:25.660 This started happening to me within days of taking my vaccine.
00:36:32.000 And this is a very common vaccine reaction.
00:36:36.980 In fact, I remember the AstraZeneca trials being shut down because of this vaccine reaction.
00:36:45.560 And then they just started them up again, saying, OK, it's a really rare side effect.
00:36:50.260 And although I didn't get the AstraZeneca vaccine, this is a side effect of these vaccines.
00:36:58.980 And this was the Moderna that we're talking about, right?
00:37:04.920 this was your third shot you had had two visors and then this one yeah i had the and again like
00:37:11.380 a lot of people say to me well you chose to do it so you know what you can live with the consequences
00:37:16.440 well i didn't feel like i had a choice i had a father in long-term care that was dying
00:37:21.160 he did die um i also had a job and my mental health wasn't well during the pandemic like a
00:37:32.760 lot of ours I didn't do well being in my house not helping not doing anything um you know uh
00:37:40.960 thankfully one thing the government or I'm not sure if the government but the law society I guess
00:37:46.780 came out with is that if you had a custody arrangement or whatever then um they were to
00:37:53.120 like you were to to honor that so your child did not have to be kept from one parent like to to
00:37:59.800 like um like a cohort basically meant um in that circumstances that his father and i were
00:38:10.540 basically in the same cohort because we were going to be giving our son back and forth um
00:38:19.080 and i was not about to stay away from my son it was just not an option um but when the schools did
00:38:25.620 reopen, I needed to return to work for my mental health. And I also wanted to help these kids were
00:38:35.720 like, dealing with these are kindergarten kids I work with, and some of them are coming into
00:38:41.500 kindergarten, and all of a sudden, we're just dressed like we were wearing masks and shields
00:38:49.860 and goggles and I mean I remember I'm so sorry to the parents but I remember and the children
00:38:57.220 apologies I remember how many kids I accidentally squirted in the eye with hand sanitizer and like
00:39:03.060 oh my eye and I'm like I'm so sorry because I mean we were just like like pouring alcohol on
00:39:11.840 these children and some of them had cuts and they're like I don't want to use it because
00:39:15.880 I have cuts and I'm like go just go wash your hands really well with soap and water because
00:39:22.840 I'm like I'm not gonna like I see the cut on the kid's hand I'm not gonna rub alcohol into their
00:39:30.180 wound I'm like no one's gonna fire me for that so I told the kid to wash their hands and I watched
00:39:35.700 them do it so no one's gonna I'm not gonna get fired for that so and I had a really good boss
00:39:41.460 And I, I knew, you know, I knew the boundaries and where they were and, you know, I, I followed
00:39:47.940 the rules and, and, you know, the third shot was because before the truckers, right before
00:39:53.780 the truckers, um, got involved, um, they were talking a lot about, um, you know, we had
00:40:05.100 these vaccine passports as, you know, they were talking about making the third shot mandatory.
00:40:09.320 and i also was being told by the who which is the world health organization we're supposed to trust
00:40:18.420 them i mean it's like um getting information out of the encyclopedia versus getting information
00:40:26.180 off your friend that's in grade two at school you're supposed to believe what it says they
00:40:32.340 they are like the people that you are supposed to trust and they were saying that um if you have
00:40:40.600 any sort of uh medical condition autoimmune disease anything that you need to be getting
00:40:47.760 the shot because covid could kill you like covid will kill you is basically what they said
00:40:54.480 you know and i didn't have any other risk factors but covid was going to kill me apparently
00:40:59.420 and to my knowledge i never did get covid and if i did i didn't i still haven't um
00:41:07.140 ever tested positive but i well you do know that having no symptoms is one of the symptoms
00:41:12.660 yeah and so i might not have tested so i mean to my knowledge but i'm like like well i'm so
00:41:21.500 vaccinated already that you know i should be good forever um you know and now we're on our ninth
00:41:28.160 vaccine well no I didn't continue to get them and I am definitely I mean people think I I'm
00:41:33.540 anti-vaccine if I was an anti-vaxxer I wouldn't have got the shots I go I mean I do believe in
00:41:40.180 like things like I mean look what happened with polio we gave the vaccine and these awful cases
00:41:47.660 of these children that are so disabled or people having to live in iron lungs for the rest of their 0.56
00:41:53.820 lives. I read those books. And I mean, that is part of how I coped with becoming quadriplegic. 0.97
00:42:00.140 I'm like, how did they cope with living in an iron lung for their whole life? And a lot of it
00:42:05.720 was education. They continue to get their education. I mean, some of them became lawyers,
00:42:12.760 some of them, I mean, they did stuff with their life, even when they were stuck in an iron lung.
00:42:17.340 But that polio vaccine saved other children from getting it and a basically eradicated polio.
00:42:23.820 So it's not that I'm anti-vaccine.
00:42:26.460 I'm anti-being forced to get a vaccine.
00:42:29.520 And people say we were not forced.
00:42:32.700 But if you couldn't afford not to work or you were in a situation where you had to choose
00:42:42.340 between seeing a dying parent or just deciding, like, I'm not getting vaccinated, so I'm
00:42:47.880 just going to not see them.
00:42:49.060 um so I do not regret the two first vaccines because I wouldn't have seen my dad I wouldn't
00:42:56.500 have been able to support my mom at all and even though I couldn't see my dad as often as I wanted
00:43:03.940 because I I didn't drive um I would go with my mom and and at least I could you know be there
00:43:13.000 sometimes that i got to you know be with him and and you know make my any amends that i needed to
00:43:22.360 even though he wasn't aware that he died of early onset dementia um and uh you you'd mentioned
00:43:29.860 earlier in our discussion here that you went through um
00:43:33.760 foster programs when you were younger right so these are your foster parents or
00:43:41.020 They're my dog. They adopted me. But yeah, I was in foster care for the beginning of my life. And then again, later in life. And yeah, I guess I've been, I mean, a part of, I guess the word is bureaucracy since I was born. I mean, I was born into a world like that.
00:44:03.840 I had a mother who, I mean, I was 10 months old when my parents adopted or sorry, started to
00:44:09.500 foster me. And immediately when I came in, they're like, what's wrong with her arm? And Children's
00:44:15.700 Aid Society didn't even notice. And they took me to the doctor and it was broken. And the doctor
00:44:20.640 did a bone scan and I had twist breaks and fractures and dislocations that had never healed
00:44:27.280 properly and cigarette burns and diaper rash that was raw and bleeding. And he's like, this was not
00:44:33.420 one accident this is like many accidents and he said it was the worst case of child abuse he'd
00:44:39.660 ever seen in york region and i went back years later to the doctor when i was an adult well 22
00:44:47.960 and i wanted to see this doctor to see like i'm like i know you're not going to remember he said
00:44:54.620 i remember you and um you know my name was different they had to change my name because
00:45:00.580 they were worried about my mother, what she would do to me. Um, and, uh, you know, I, I, you know,
00:45:09.960 she had six kids with six different dads. And, um, then I ended up having a brother that was
00:45:16.300 murdered, um, in her care. Like she, she was able to keep one kid because the system was so messed
00:45:23.560 up. And he died. He was murdered at the Tim Hortons in Newmarket on Davis Drive. And the
00:45:31.760 hospital was like, literally not even a minute away. And, you know, so I mean, there was a lot
00:45:39.340 of trauma that I already had to go through. And then when this happened, you know, I'm thinking
00:45:46.120 what on earth is the purpose of this? And like I said, I knew. And then all of a sudden, my son
00:45:52.900 says to me and this is when he's nine this is like a month ago he says mom you really need to
00:45:59.340 tell your story because you know there could be other people like you that can't talk and can't
00:46:04.660 speak out and you could and you could help them you know and if you don't speak then how are you
00:46:10.160 going to help them and I'm like he has no idea what I'm thinking in my head and when it comes
00:46:17.340 out of a nine-year-old's mouth and it's your son and i'm like wow um and then i said well honey
00:46:29.120 you know telling a story like that has consequences too people might say really bad things and he's
00:46:34.560 like so he's like you don't have to you always tell me that you're not supposed to listen to
00:46:39.960 the bullies and i'm like okay now like what are you supposed to say when your kids are parenting
00:46:45.360 you basically he's got you he's got me he's got me cornered let me ask you this kayla how is
00:46:51.660 how has his adjustment been through all of this is it tough on him i can't believe his adjustment
00:47:00.720 he i remember having to sit him down when he was seven and say i thought it was a very serious
00:47:07.780 conversation and this was going to really affect him and i said you know honey mommy will never be
00:47:13.700 able to to pee on her own again so I have to use this bag for the rest of my life and mommy doesn't
00:47:20.420 have control over her bowel anymore so you know there's gonna be times where mommy might have to
00:47:27.880 wear diapers or she could have accidents or like I don't know and I think you should hear it from me
00:47:36.280 in case someone ever you know tells you this um and he's like mom I used to pee my pants and poop
00:47:45.480 my pants and my brother still pooped his pants and you loved us and I'm like he's like it doesn't
00:47:51.940 matter you're still my mom and I'm like okay that wasn't a very serious conversation so his
00:47:59.000 adjustment is now like for instance we went out for we went out for the first time I've never been
00:48:05.380 out in this electric wheelchair and I'm like honey I'm I don't really know if I want to go
00:48:10.220 because I'm actually scared because I don't know if it's going to tip because my other wheelchair
00:48:14.340 I flipped out of it all the time and it would hurt me and I didn't want him to be traumatized
00:48:20.500 with a 400 pound wheelchair falling on me because the roads are bad the sidewalks are awful he's 0.97
00:48:26.280 like mom it's okay I'll even hold your hand if you want and I'm like okay let's let's try it 0.98
00:48:33.240 and he's like let's try to make it to Tim Hortons and I'm like but I don't know if I can go that far
00:48:40.860 and you know what we went and then we got there and we're in line and I jokingly said to him are
00:48:46.560 you gonna buy me a coffee and he goes yeah and a guy turned around and said I'll buy you a coffee
00:48:51.740 another person in line said I'll buy you a coffee and someone says you're the girl that's um that's
00:48:57.720 all over the the the media right now he's like I'll buy you a coffee and I'm like and Mason and
00:49:04.160 I are standing and I'm like it's okay no one has to buy me a coffee I was kidding with him and I
00:49:10.800 get up to the counter and people are like thanking me for telling my story and Mason's like Timo I
00:49:18.800 told you and I'm proud of you and I'm thinking oh my god like having your child at nine say
00:49:23.420 keep saying I'm proud of you I'm proud of you that's that's one thing um and then we go sit
00:49:29.160 and he finds a wheelchair accessible table so we go to sit at it and he he goes mom I found a
00:49:36.480 wheelchair accessible table look there's a picture of a wheelchair I'm like good that's awesome buddy
00:49:40.640 so I go to get under the table I don't fit under the table and he is like that is not right it says
00:49:48.740 wheelchair accessible mom and I'm like honey it's it's for manual wheelchairs and he's like
00:49:54.460 people have both kinds why don't they make the table adjustable I'm like that's a great question
00:50:00.940 and I'm like that is something that if you were in high school I'd say you know what make an
00:50:06.480 assignment out of it right the CEO of Tim Hortons and tell them that you could also design that one
00:50:12.360 day, buddy, and make a lot of money. He is very, very aware of curb cuts, of people putting their
00:50:20.160 bikes on the sidewalk, of people parking their vehicles on the sidewalks. He's just very aware
00:50:27.680 of it. And, you know, he's been fortunate or unfortunate enough to have me work at one school
00:50:36.080 and his stepmom work at his other school. So we've always had eyes on him. And it's a small
00:50:42.060 town where he lives and I hear stories all the time and he'll tell me you know he's in a really
00:50:47.220 popular group of kids he's a good looking kid and I worry about that I don't love that and but I hear
00:50:54.040 oh mom I just went and played with the kids that are in the special needs class I'm like really
00:50:58.960 what did you do he's like well one of them can't really talk and he just drools so I feel really
00:51:02.860 bad so I just like play the ball with him and I just talk to him and then like there's another
00:51:08.920 one and I'm like wow and then what do you do and he's like oh I just went back and played with my
00:51:14.040 friends and I'm like do they say anything he's like no and I'm like what would you do if they
00:51:18.680 did say anything or made fun of you he'd be like I would tell them that that's not cool and that
00:51:24.280 it's not any of their fault that that that happened to them and how would you feel if that
00:51:28.660 was you and i'm like wow so honestly i hate to say that it's a blessing for him but he's
00:51:39.160 he's adjusted much better than i have i think it's like he's mature beyond his years you know
00:51:46.780 oh yeah yeah um he's been able to somehow grasp this as though it hasn't really affected him
00:51:53.900 that much there are times when he's like angry and he he'll say i hate that you're not that you're
00:52:00.680 not with me anymore i hate where you live and i i hate that you that you can't go out when you want 0.66
00:52:09.660 to and i'm i just validate that i'm like i hate it too and you're absolutely right and it's wrong 0.66
00:52:16.360 and it is not fair you're not wrong about that and i just well i'm not going to get him in trouble
00:52:22.720 for his feelings those are I have the same feelings and so I just tell him you're right
00:52:28.760 that is that is how I feel too and I am really sorry that this happened and that this has affected
00:52:35.500 you because that is what kills mommy is that it's not just me that is being affected it's you
00:52:43.040 and although there's some good that comes from it I never ever want to hurt you in any way
00:52:49.100 and he's like well it's not your fault and I'm like it doesn't matter if it's my fault
00:52:53.700 it matters that someone directly or indirectly hurt you and that makes me angry but when I'm
00:53:01.560 angry I direct my anger at making sure there's justice for other people and that's why mommy
00:53:09.260 did do this so I guess I one day I just went to bed and I'm like you know what I just I need
00:53:15.760 someone to help me I just prayed I'm like I need someone to help me and I I don't know who it is I
00:53:21.240 just need someone to help me and then I get this this this letter on Facebook it's really short
00:53:27.180 it's from this really weird profile that has no pictures it's got says someone's in the military
00:53:32.820 but it's got like one picture and there's like no friends and I'm like this is a little sketchy
00:53:37.720 and uh it's a message saying um that our his niece is in my son's class and I'm like okay
00:53:46.360 that's interesting so when he said the name of his niece I'm like I taught or I didn't teach I
00:53:52.700 don't teach but she was in my class for two years and now she's been in my son's class for two years
00:53:57.940 and she sits beside my son and they annoy each other so I mean they're a girl and a boy they
00:54:03.780 just annoy each other so I'm thinking but but Mason's very open with what happened to his mom
00:54:10.760 and doesn't care what people think so he told her you know my mom's in a wheelchair this is what
00:54:17.720 happened so she told her mom and her mom told Drew can you help this girl and it was Drew that had
00:54:25.760 sent me that message and the next this is Drew McGillery by the way you guys so for those of
00:54:31.660 you watching drew mcgillory one of the founders of veterans for freedom and drew actually told
00:54:36.860 a little bit about this story okay week on the show so i was hoping that you could flush this
00:54:42.560 one out so thank you yeah and so i mean i i think there's a quote on on that's been passed around
00:54:49.760 the internet i literally prayed for help but i didn't expect an army like i did not realize i
00:54:58.400 mean I sat down with my boyfriend and my son and I I don't remember doing this because it's just
00:55:07.220 it's been a world when I do remember sitting down with them but I don't remember saying this
00:55:12.860 but apparently I was very clear that the moment I opened my mouth publicly that this was going to
00:55:20.600 go around the world and this was going to change our lives and I didn't know whether it was going
00:55:25.740 to be for the better or the worst, that there was going to be some people that were going to be very
00:55:32.120 upset with me and that are going to say mean things. And I didn't know how I would handle that
00:55:37.660 because I always looked at celebrities and felt really bad for them because, you know, God forbid
00:55:43.940 you're like Justin Bieber and everyone hates you one minute and then loves you the next minute.
00:55:47.820 That's got to be really hard on your mental health, no matter who you are. Your album flops and
00:55:52.820 everyone hates you and then you get a you get a big one and everyone loves you i can't imagine
00:55:57.180 so i would never want that kind of life i always said and and i i i don't want that kind of life
00:56:03.920 thank god there's no paparazzi involved in this story but early well i i don't know about that
00:56:12.420 um i'm hearing that you're going to be on some pretty big name shows in the united states
00:56:17.480 upcoming or you already have been yeah gonna get the word out pretty quickly well i i did sit down
00:56:25.160 and tell them that this was going to go around the world and i could see myself speaking publicly
00:56:30.960 about this and that this was political and and that i didn't want to be a politician but this
00:56:36.200 is what it is and that i was just going to tell my story tell the truth and um unfortunately
00:56:43.300 unfortunately as things go from one news media outlet to another I mean they it bothers me when
00:56:50.360 another news media outlet will pick it up and they'll change something in the story so you know
00:56:56.080 one minute I'm quadriplegic the next minute I'm pair or paraplegic which those are totally
00:57:01.060 different things um and then the next minute um you know I have a spinal tumor and then I'm like
00:57:08.860 i have no idea what these people are where they're getting this information um they'll spell my name
00:57:15.460 wrong and i'm like okay but then i get people sending me screenshots and it's like all these
00:57:24.560 different languages and i'm like i don't know what language this is in but that is me that's my name
00:57:30.840 and then i'm getting emails from the people saying i'm really sorry i don't speak english i'm using
00:57:38.080 translator so please forgive me but I'm from Germany or I'm from Russia or I'm from Australia
00:57:44.280 or I'm from UK or I'm from like you name it I've I've heard from that country I don't even know
00:57:52.260 half the country sometimes I'm like what like how do you hear my story over there and sometimes
00:57:58.700 i'll ask them like how did you and then someone will say uh and some platform that i've never
00:58:08.060 heard of in my life so this amazingly uh you know i i was just reading this story from east
00:58:13.900 willembury's bullet bulletin magazine yeah and i i think i read that for the first time about a
00:58:21.380 month ago because i i'd heard of you drew it mentioned you and i had heard you popping up on
00:58:27.400 these different platforms and i thought well i want to obviously get kayla on and help her
00:58:33.700 stretch the word now that she's chosen to talk but that story from that little magazine was two
00:58:40.280 years ago almost yeah and it took a while between that story and this whole big worldwide thing
00:58:49.820 that's happened in the in the last couple of months were you at that time during that time
00:58:54.680 frame were you going I don't want to talk about it did it take you a while to do oh absolutely
00:58:59.000 like I said I knew a year ago that this is what I was supposed to do I knew as soon as I was like
00:59:04.160 why did this happen I'm like well you know like what is your purpose in life now you have no
00:59:09.140 purpose you can't work you can't you can't even like use the bathroom properly you can't walk
00:59:14.940 you can't use your arms properly like what is your purpose in life like there you're not even
00:59:20.120 you know, a good mother because you can't, you know, spend the time one-on-one with your son
00:59:25.540 playing on the floor with him. You can't cuddle anyone properly. You know, there's always a 0.95
00:59:30.640 barrier. I sleep in a hospital bed with bars. I'm in a wheelchair with, you know, with arms around.
00:59:38.580 There's always a barrier. And, you know, right now my son's nine and he will still climb on my lap
00:59:44.080 and he still insists that he's going to sleep in that hospital bed with me. And you know what?
00:59:50.120 Uh, I'm not sure how I sleep those nights, but he, um, ever since that time when he,
01:00:00.580 I think he realized that he, I think he very much knows that he could have lost his mother.
01:00:06.880 And, um, I think that ever since then, he really appreciates that, uh, that closeness,
01:00:18.260 like much more we are very close um have you become closer since all of it oh yeah
01:00:25.200 yeah I mean we were very open um and very close and you know he asked me what purpose meant
01:00:36.920 and I'm thinking oh my gosh I don't I'm not a teacher I don't know how do I get a dictionary
01:00:42.840 like what do I do and I'm like I think purpose means like what you feel in your heart that
01:00:49.220 you're supposed to offer the world and he goes well I think my purpose in life is to help you
01:00:55.100 and I'm like well that's really sweet honey and like I don't know what you want from you saying
01:00:59.760 that do you want a candy or something he's like no mom you know I was kidding with him I tease
01:01:04.120 him a lot we're very sarcastic he's like yeah mom you know I wanted a bucket of ice cream um
01:01:10.060 And I know that's really sweet. But I think purpose means more than just one person. Like,
01:01:16.700 what are you supposed to offer the world? And he sat there and we were just laying in bed and he
01:01:22.920 sat there and I thought he was just done with the conversation. Then he goes, we didn't find
01:01:27.540 purposes to help other people. And I said, honestly, Mason, I really believe that's everyone's
01:01:32.980 purpose and that as we grow up we forget that and we get entangled in our phones our ipads and i
01:01:42.180 looked at him like you your ipad why mommy's always taking away your ipad um you know just
01:01:50.900 just the world having nice shoes having nice hair having you know nice clothes just we get
01:01:58.080 we get older and we forget that that is our purpose i think that's everyone's purpose but
01:02:04.060 if you can remember that then you will succeed in life no matter what you do and you you uh
01:02:11.100 you went through some dark times we discovered or sorry uh talked about you being offered an
01:02:16.660 aid three times and yeah i don't know if you want to talk about that or not no that's okay i've
01:02:21.380 spoken publicly about it dr drew really drilled me on that one dr drew yeah i i you see that's
01:02:27.920 one of the big names i was just talking about but what about the support factor i mean uh i read in
01:02:33.920 the article here that aside from the maid being offered they wanted to put you in a long-term
01:02:40.240 care facility which is designed for senior citizens which would take you and and not
01:02:46.040 knowing exactly where that would be you'd have to wait for the first opening to come up it could
01:02:49.920 have been in kenora it could have been in thunder bay exactly yep taking you away from your son so
01:02:55.080 when you talk about losing your son it's not just possible death no it's actually being
01:03:02.220 physically dragged away from him and put into one of these places where you won't ever have a night
01:03:09.320 with your kid again and you won't ever have um how is he supposed to visit me am i supposed to
01:03:16.880 put it on his dad to drive to thunder bay i mean that's not realistic how often am i going to even
01:03:22.720 see him. Am I supposed to, I'm, I'm not, that's when you, you really start to really start to
01:03:32.500 think about, um, that gets dark. That gets really dark. I'd be lying if I said that that's when I
01:03:42.960 would, would maybe would consider made. Um, I just want to take the opportunity for those of
01:03:51.220 you who are just getting here right now to apologize for the audio in this interview
01:03:58.240 tonight. First, I want to apologize to Kayla. We recorded this interview this afternoon and
01:04:06.640 all indications to me were everything was working fine. The audio is there, at least
01:04:11.060 from my part. It's just a matter of being able to get it out there. I spent hours trying
01:04:17.220 to salvage it this afternoon so that you guys could enjoy this interview.
01:04:24.940 I couldn't do it.
01:04:28.740 I tried.
01:04:29.740 I couldn't do it.
01:04:30.580 So I'm giving you the interview tonight as it is right now.
01:04:33.860 I will be able to at some point, maybe in the next 24 hours, restore my audio portion
01:04:38.960 of it so it goes smoother for you guys.
01:04:40.760 But I wanted to get this on tonight so that you could hear what Kayla had to say about
01:04:45.340 her situation.
01:04:46.220 So, again, I apologize to everybody involved.
01:04:50.340 And the second thing is for website members, there is something going on with the website tonight that is not happening from my end.
01:05:01.000 It's happening on the website providers, and I don't know exactly what the issue is.
01:05:06.060 I've been looking into it for the past half hour, and I'm going to continue to do that as well.
01:05:11.200 So it's not been shut down by the government, at least not that I know of.
01:05:16.220 the website just malfunctioned tonight as websites tend to do occasionally and hopefully
01:05:24.600 it's back up now we are streaming live on it right now and hopefully you can see it if you're
01:05:29.880 an all-access member okay back to the discussion with kayla pollack um and
01:05:38.100 these care facilities they're not staffed properly and that is not because the staff are bad people
01:05:48.320 it's because of our health care system and if you're not sick you might not realize you know
01:05:57.340 we're supposed to be Canada everyone thinks we have free health care and a lot of our tax dollars
01:06:02.900 go to health care and i know we hear even on the news um that um alexa stop sorry um i know we hear
01:06:13.920 even on the news that um you know that uh our health care system is in crisis it's it's not
01:06:24.560 just in crisis it is it is dilapidated like we are we are not okay and anybody could sit in my
01:06:34.760 chair you could have an accident and be in the same chair as me i mean you could be i knew somebody
01:06:41.100 who was sledding down a very small hill with a two-year-old and she hit a tree the wrong way
01:06:46.500 and she's in a chair like this you know this could happen to anybody anybody could get sick
01:06:52.020 you could be stripped of everything. Kayla when you first when this first happened to you I mean
01:06:56.400 you had to go through I don't even know what government agencies to get equipped for this
01:07:03.440 new life that you have right now and I don't think you're still fully outfitted yet are you you've got
01:07:08.220 this no this new chair but I mean there's all kinds that you're going to need right and
01:07:12.500 it's been absolutely not at all um I can't go anywhere um
01:07:18.440 i mean you got to remember you know it's a 400 pound chair you can't just load it into your jeep
01:07:26.000 and and drive away um it has you have to have a special vehicle that's like 103 000 if you're
01:07:33.500 getting dealer price um there's um especially if you live in canada and you don't want to have a
01:07:43.040 van because you're um like if your boyfriend's let's say driving it and he's driving long
01:07:48.980 distances to work and there's massive snowstorms like we used to get um you don't necessarily want
01:07:57.600 to be driving a van um uh and also if you want to be able to to do anything in life like when i go
01:08:09.640 somewhere i have to bring so much stuff we'd have to tow a trailer like i have to bring a special
01:08:14.840 mattress i have to bring a special toilet i have to bring a special chair i have to bring you know
01:08:22.420 like things people have no idea but i wouldn't even know if i started listing them people it'd
01:08:27.900 be like a different language how do you feel right now i mean like this reality i mean that you're
01:08:33.840 know and you used to be you were an active person i mean you yes training animals yeah i was training
01:08:39.900 exotic animals lions and and servals and uh parrots and um i had been really successful like i you
01:08:49.320 know i had spoken on stage with about service dog etiquette with caesar milan at the air canada
01:08:54.640 center in front of 19 000 people he's the dog whisperer right correct yep and um you know there
01:09:02.320 was always these pictures of me floating around and you know i i was doing quite well with that
01:09:08.560 and i you know and then working with lions and some people started saying you know that might
01:09:13.500 not be a good idea because you have a kid and i'm like you know what that's a very good point i mean
01:09:18.620 so i i switched from lions roy i mean no that was a tiger not a lion yeah i i i switched from lions
01:09:26.340 to kindergarten children and i've never been bit by a lion but i have been bit by a kindergarten
01:09:33.860 so i'm not sure which was more dangerous but um human bites are always the worst for
01:09:39.940 infections but i would imagine a lion bite would be more severe i've been bit by servals which are
01:09:45.380 they look like cheetahs and they're they're they're big big teeth um there's a video of
01:09:50.900 of me being bit by a serval um but um but um i uh yeah i i i kindergarten bites were good but yeah
01:10:05.400 i've been bit by a lot of animals a lot of parrots especially parrots love to bite um did you say
01:10:11.080 parents or not parents well parents were you know parents were kind of bad too no parrots yes um but
01:10:19.000 i found them i mean i was i was there to help them and and you know i i like to work with
01:10:24.620 parrots that plucked out their feathers so they had um some sort of psychological damage because
01:10:31.200 they were caged and they would actually pluck out their feathers to the point where they could
01:10:35.760 die they would self-mutilate and i'm thinking you know i understand what it feels like to be caged
01:10:42.240 and I can help them they just need freedom and love and care and there was there was like almost
01:10:49.300 nobody that could cure plucking parrots at the time they were trying sprays they were trying
01:10:54.420 everything and I had a really high success rate with that so I did really really well in my career
01:11:01.920 by being able to help parrots that self-mutilated so then I you know it really transferred
01:11:12.220 into working with children with special needs and then you know something like this happens to you
01:11:17.660 and you're like I have no purpose left I am caged and I am broken and I am not getting any help so
01:11:26.120 I'm like you know what I don't have any other choice if I don't scream help at the top of my
01:11:32.260 lungs i i'm gonna die like this and that is not okay for my son and it's not okay so part of this
01:11:42.680 is me also saying like i need help um and it takes a long time for someone like me who's
01:11:52.780 struggled all their life and done it alone to say you know what i need to help like i'm at a stage
01:11:58.260 now where my government and this healthcare system, it is failing me. And if I don't crowd
01:12:05.740 fund, I am absolutely not going to make it. And that's not right. And I want to help change
01:12:16.940 it. But at the same time, I also need help. So there's, there's both things going on here.
01:12:24.780 I've tried and I failed miserably these last couple of days.
01:12:31.460 We were supposed to, by the way, for you guys watching, we were supposed to,
01:12:35.480 Kayla and I have an interview last week.
01:12:37.140 You had doctor's appointment, so obviously you had to go.
01:12:41.000 And here we are, and I've been trying somehow to at least mentally try and put myself in the space that you're in right now
01:12:48.060 in terms of, all right, so you don't have the use of your legs anymore.
01:12:51.560 you may have limited use of your arms but not really anything like it used to be
01:12:58.600 and and i'm thinking how would i feel if that happened to me and i would be angry
01:13:05.400 well if you want to know how it feels what i recommend is that you have someone duct tape
01:13:12.120 you to your bed and um literally just duct tape you down and see how long you last without being
01:13:19.580 able to roll without being you know what it's like because you know that you're going to come
01:13:25.240 out of that like somebody's going to cut those the tape you're right you're right about yeah
01:13:30.540 you're right i mean for you this is different like this is a permanent situation that you're
01:13:36.340 in correct there's oh yeah it's a slow and painful death is there any possibility that
01:13:43.820 anybody can do anything i mean this lesion on your spine is can that be operate there's nothing
01:13:48.600 no it's permanent um you know it's it's permanent
01:14:00.320 um and that's something that i've i've had to tell my son too and that's he won't accept that
01:14:11.280 um he tells me that doctors don't know what they're talking about and only god knows what's
01:14:17.040 what's gonna happen and that i should not be listening to doctors um i don't know where he
01:14:23.900 got that idea but well after everything that's happened these past years he doesn't even know
01:14:29.460 that part he doesn't know that there was a doctor that thought i was just you know mentally having
01:14:34.980 a break he doesn't know that you know your new life now is is talking to people and and telling
01:14:45.020 your story yeah in hopes that it's going to help them tell their I mean that's that's an amazing
01:14:51.900 many people would have given up you know this right oh and I was there I mean don't don't get
01:15:00.160 me wrong I've been there it comes up all the time so your meeting with Drew then was just a fluke
01:15:09.420 or you just kind of looked at it and went all right so this is weird I don't know what to do
01:15:12.980 with this could you please continue that story um how you first got together with drew and and how
01:15:19.560 all of this this happened this is pretty recent stuff right it's kind of a blur in some ways i
01:15:25.720 just like i said he mentioned the name of his niece and i'm like oh okay and so i'm like okay
01:15:31.640 well he is real um and then he started explaining a bit and then we started talking
01:15:40.900 and then I went on I guess that he hooked me up with John from independent media
01:15:48.740 and John put out that video and it started doing well and um Andrew and I have very similar vision
01:16:00.000 um so sorry about that beeping I could turn it off if you want to turn it off you can do you mind
01:16:10.900 sorry it's my oven and i'm not really sure we want the fire alarms going off or anything
01:16:18.180 i can't take anything out of the oven or i'll burn myself i'll be two seconds i'm so sorry
01:16:22.260 that's all right you should play a musical interview i just do how about if i didn't help
01:16:32.020 that's perfect what are you making um i actually had a psw put in lasagna
01:16:38.900 and then I'm supposed to, uh, turn off the oven and then I have to wait for someone else to take
01:16:44.560 it out because, um, I don't have feeling in my arms. So I tried to use the oven and my boyfriend
01:16:54.180 said, Oh my God, what happened to your arm? I'm like, nothing. And I looked and it was a very
01:16:58.400 severe burn. So that is not okay at all for someone like me. And, uh, yeah, so thank God
01:17:07.460 it didn't get infected, but you know, my life is, I have a nurse come like almost every couple of
01:17:13.760 days. I have catheters inserted all the time. That is not fun. I mean, it's the pain. I can't
01:17:20.180 describe the pain. Um, I can't describe the mental, um, the mental hardship. Um, and I,
01:17:32.660 I can't describe yeah I am angry but like I said when I'm angry I get to a point where
01:17:40.640 there's two things I can do with that I can lash out at everyone and everything which isn't going
01:17:45.980 to help me or I can say you know what this has to stop because if I don't stop it it's going to be
01:17:54.080 someone else so you know I've done this in the past I mean I had a service dog I went to the
01:17:59.920 human rights tribunal, because the neighbor was like, Oh, you know, complaining about the service
01:18:04.380 dog. I'm like, No, these are my rights, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I won the case,
01:18:09.320 I will stand up for my rights, and I will stand up for other people's rights. I once went to
01:18:14.700 the I went to a massive pet show that is internationally known pet show. And I was with
01:18:24.060 somebody with a service dog, and she was blind, she had cancer, and you could tell she had,
01:18:28.140 um she was blind because she was missing her eyes and um they told us that you were not allowed to
01:18:36.500 have dogs in the cat section of the show and i said these are service dogs they're not going to
01:18:42.940 touch the cats and guide dogs of canada is right over there if you if you um if you want to talk
01:18:49.580 to them about like there's a booth over there you can talk to them about it just just to make sure
01:18:54.240 and they said well she's blind she can't see anyway so you don't need to be here and that
01:18:59.760 got me going so I they wanted to kick me out I'm like then you're gonna have to get your manager
01:19:05.080 they wanted to kick us out because we had service dogs in the cat section and so I said you're gonna
01:19:11.460 have to get your manager so they got security and someone got it on film because there was a lot of
01:19:16.320 cameras there there was a lot of media there someone got it on film and I said you're gonna
01:19:23.900 to call the police if you want i'm not doing anything illegal and so they they had secure
01:19:30.140 i mean i didn't resist or anything they had security escort me out so i turned around and
01:19:34.580 sued them and i won that too i and i didn't do it for me i did it for her because that was that
01:19:43.660 comment was so unacceptable and they i said i want service dogs allowed signs everywhere
01:19:50.220 like these are my terms of settlement and you're going to pay you're going to pay this money to a
01:19:57.220 service dog organization because it wasn't for me it wasn't for her even and you're going to make
01:20:03.340 sure that this never happens to anyone again and they do have they do have um service dog signs
01:20:10.180 everywhere now they by law had to do that what's interesting about service dogs is uh of all the
01:20:17.340 progressive and i think that was like an actual progressive thing that society has done these past
01:20:22.620 few years allowing service dogs into grocery stores restaurants that kind of thing because
01:20:28.700 they actually do really help people except for there's mostly fake service dogs people just slap
01:20:35.160 a vest on their pet um and then they walk into you know a store and it puts everyone at risk
01:20:42.280 um that's the problem ontario really needs to change those laws as well because that's just
01:20:47.940 not okay bc and alberta have laws where you have to have um you know there's there's something that
01:20:54.940 people are just training their own service dogs so they say and they're just putting vests on
01:20:59.560 saying oh no it's trained it does this all you have to do is get a doctor's letter slap a saying
01:21:05.080 you need it the doctor never has to meet the dog you could slap a vest on your dog and take it
01:21:09.360 anywhere you want and people do it let me ask you you said thank god uh during this incident 0.66
01:21:15.520 with the blind woman and the service dog at the at the show so you said thank god we got it on tape
01:21:21.460 what that person says now you had you have a doctor telling you that you have a vaccine injury
01:21:28.460 and that was on the canadian independent story that was done on you yep is there anything that
01:21:32.840 you can do with that legally oh yeah I mean as long as you are um recording someone and you are
01:21:40.640 the the party of the conversation so if you're a third party is recording it that's different
01:21:45.380 but I told my boyfriend put my hand on the record button and so I'm pressing the button
01:21:52.860 I did and I recorded the procedure that's great I knew my law I knew the law and you can record
01:22:01.140 i can record you as long as we are having a conversation if there's three other people in
01:22:07.520 the room that's a different story but is if you and i are having a conversation i can record you
01:22:13.140 yeah now what i meant by that was like are you going to be able to do a lawsuit or i have a
01:22:19.160 lawsuit against moderna okay i'm the first canadian yeah i'm the first canadian that um
01:22:24.460 Yeah, Umar, he took my case, he also does the Dan Hartman case, where he sued Pfizer for the death of his son, who just wanted to play hockey, I believe he was 17. And he died. And it was it was proven to be from the vaccine. And same lawyer and people like you can't sue the drug companies, they have immunity.
01:22:49.100 They do not have legislative immunity. There's a whole video that Viva did on that, actually, so that I don't have to explain it. He does a really good job. I mean, he's a lawyer. He does a really good job explaining it.
01:23:06.180 he asked permission to speak to my lawyer so he could get all the details uh the lawsuits all
01:23:11.320 online um if it wasn't legal you can't just have a lawsuit and they would they would you know they
01:23:18.640 would um discard it so um it's trying to set precedent for people saying look people wake up
01:23:26.760 don't believe everything you see on the news yeah you can't if you have a vaccine injury
01:23:31.120 sue the drug company you're you got new friends too uh with this community that you've recently
01:23:39.380 joined or become a louder member of i think you and tamara tamara leach uh have met yeah she came
01:23:46.020 and and um she came and surprised me at my house um i just wanted to read the book but uh she brought
01:23:53.280 me a signed copy and i was like okay this is a little bit odd um yeah and you know back at the
01:24:00.680 time, I really didn't know what I thought about all of this going on. I wasn't sure whether I
01:24:09.860 thought that it was lawful or unlawful, or I was really sitting back and watching. And then I
01:24:18.000 watched her trial unfold. And I really started to realize that once they found the Emergency Act
01:24:26.660 unconstitutional and once they they were allowing her conditions to lighten up that I'm thinking
01:24:34.600 okay they screwed up if they put her in jail there's going to be major like backlash
01:24:44.040 either way there's going to be major backlash I mean that's just society but um yeah it was
01:24:51.440 it was a surprise because obviously she does not live in my area so they were all coming through
01:24:57.640 and you know that happened um and uh she's been um sharing a lot of my posts she'll just
01:25:08.340 retweet them on social media and that helps because of her um her following as well um
01:25:17.060 And so there's a lot of people, I think, especially, you know, when I dated someone in the military for quite a while and lived on a military base.
01:25:33.260 So I know that when you're in the military, your fellow soldiers become family and, you know, we're always hearing on TV, leave no man behind.
01:25:49.080 Well, you know, these are veterans who have now either because of injuries or because they've been working 30 years or whatever, they now come out of the military and they're not done helping people.
01:26:06.320 They just don't have it in them to just sit on their couches and, you know, take their pension or whatever they get in and just sit back and do nothing.
01:26:17.060 it's just not in their blood and so their community is very tight and strong and
01:26:26.940 you know it's very inclusive I found like I'm not a veteran but I feel like a part of their family
01:26:39.640 because they've really taken me in and I can relate to a lot of the PTSD and the
01:26:48.420 seeing things you should never see. And a lot of the stories are very different,
01:26:56.700 but I can very much relate to the feelings. And so I didn't think, you know, this was going to
01:27:03.760 get this big this fast um but um I started to get overwhelmed with the amount of emails and I'm
01:27:13.040 I said oh my gosh Drew I'm just the scheduling and the emails are really overwhelming me
01:27:18.220 no problem I'll get someone to fix that and then like the next day he's got you know Tracy from
01:27:25.080 the military also she's you know she's like okay and she's on my on my emails making sure that you
01:27:32.160 know i get the the appointment she'll remind me things um about scheduling because there's a lot
01:27:38.140 of um scheduling involved in all these podcasts and things like that and i have to schedule them
01:27:44.360 around psws i have to schedule them around my son i have to schedule them around um you know a lot of
01:27:51.920 different things cooking yes that's right well that that i didn't even think of um that's never
01:27:59.400 happened i've never left a podcast so you can be you can be the first um but um yeah there's a lot
01:28:08.360 like you're supposed to be living your life as well um yeah so it's it's definitely who wants
01:28:18.200 me to text him when we're done here and i'm not sure if he's checking out like because he told me
01:28:24.680 He said, don't keep her too long.
01:28:27.540 I'm okay.
01:28:28.780 Are you all right?
01:28:29.920 Yeah.
01:28:30.720 Okay.
01:28:31.500 You were talking about the military and you were talking about feeling like a part of their family.
01:28:38.580 Yeah.
01:28:39.140 And the crazy hecticness of what's happened in the last couple of months.
01:28:44.100 Where do you hope that this goes?
01:28:45.740 Did you want to actually go out and do public speaking and maybe even develop your own podcast, write a book?
01:28:52.840 well I always thought I was supposed to write a book I still think that the book needs to be 0.99
01:28:59.460 not just for people that are vaccine injured but also other quadriplegics who live like this every
01:29:04.220 day and also people who live in other countries that have failing health care systems
01:29:09.160 we're not the only country um I think the book is also I think it would would attract attention
01:29:18.920 because people are like oh my gosh vaccine injured she became paralyzed i want to read that
01:29:23.700 but then they they would be getting i think they would be getting a lesson in what it's like to be
01:29:30.340 someone who's disabled as opposed to like all the politics that they're expecting well you know
01:29:35.780 what it's interesting because you know i've spoken to vaccine injured people before it never
01:29:39.880 through the severity that you're dealing with here people who have had horrible skin rashes
01:29:44.920 break out where they wind up actually looking like lizard-like almost people who have facial
01:29:50.280 paralysis people who've lost the use of the you know an ear they can't hear anymore out of one ear
01:29:56.640 or or the other and they feel as though they've been um ignored to a great deal of chastised by a
01:30:04.460 certain percentage of the community of society uh and and they fall through the cracks and this is
01:30:12.500 something that the government and media, let's be honest, and corporate Canada or corporate
01:30:18.080 anywhere hasn't acknowledged. They'll say, yes, of course, there's absolutely rare occurrences
01:30:23.580 where somebody is going to have a vaccine side effect, but they never go into any details.
01:30:28.140 And I find that frustrating. And I can imagine for somebody like yourself, who's living it,
01:30:32.520 that you would want somebody to say, yes, we know that these vaccines, because they're still
01:30:39.240 pushing it, Kayla, is, I guess, what I'm saying. I think that, yeah, these things are safe and
01:30:44.360 effective still, and they're not. Well, I think that the reality is, if you really want to make
01:30:52.680 it simple, you just look at, you know, let's pretend you're watching global or CTV news in
01:30:59.100 Canada, and you just watch it, and they'll talk about COVID cases and getting your vaccines or
01:31:06.900 whatever and they might have a story about a vaccine injured canadian that received compensation
01:31:13.840 so look at how wonder like this person had a very rare side effect and our government's so wonderful
01:31:20.260 because they're giving them a maximum of 250 000 which won't put a dent in their medical bills but
01:31:26.020 look at how wonderful our government is so you'll hear stories about that but what they cannot show
01:31:33.640 a story like mine, because then the drug companies that are, if you watch long enough, you'll see a
01:31:40.640 commercial that comes on and tells you, you know, Health Canada comes on and tells you to go get
01:31:45.640 your vaccine. You just have to watch long enough. And so if they share a story like mine, they're
01:31:54.600 going to lose a lot of funding. And that's not happening for them. So my story won't be told
01:32:01.320 on mainstream media so a lot of people think well if it was real it wouldn't be you know behind the
01:32:07.340 scenes and people would know about it people would know if that really happened to you
01:32:11.800 people would know and when people ask me I mean a lot of people would say what happened to you
01:32:17.000 and I'll tell them and they're like oh I guess the government is taking care of you and I'm thinking
01:32:21.680 that's what everybody says and I'm like no they're not people assume that our government
01:32:29.340 takes care of people like me. And I don't blame them for assuming that because that's what we're
01:32:34.580 told. We live in Canada. People come here because we have great healthcare. Apparently
01:32:40.840 this is the frustrating part. Like I think it's, it just needs to be education. And if I just shut
01:32:49.420 up and, and put up, then no one's being educated and no one's hearing truth and no one's getting 0.81
01:32:56.360 better and we're all going to fall through the cracks. And I've fallen through the cracks my
01:33:00.660 whole life. I can't keep doing it. And, you know, I, like I said, I, you know, it's, when it's,
01:33:10.860 it's so bad that you have to literally go on the internet and tell your, your, the fact that you
01:33:16.720 might have to wear diapers for the rest of your life on, on public media so that you can tell
01:33:21.800 people like this is what happened to me and I can't live unless I apparently have hundreds of
01:33:29.220 thousands of dollars which I don't and that's not my fault that's not because I sit at home
01:33:37.240 all day and play video games that is not the reality of my life this could have happened
01:33:44.440 to anybody and I think everybody who is watching this knows that right now you're you were I hate
01:33:51.000 to say this because it might sound a little bit callous but you're unlucky with this right i mean
01:33:55.320 yeah what happened to you it didn't happen to hundreds thousands of other people and so they
01:34:00.200 can easily go well you know you know but it's totally like russian roulette but now that you've
01:34:06.200 got this new mission you know this is something i ask a lot of people because i find their their
01:34:10.760 answers interesting and the facial expression before they answer first if i were to come to
01:34:16.120 to you, Kayla, and say, like, let's say I'm Joe from Pfizer or Moderna in this case, and
01:34:22.820 I were to come to you and say, you know, we quietly, quietly, and say, you know, we made
01:34:28.120 a horrible mistake, and we're willing to give you $3 million if you'll please just shut 0.54
01:34:35.680 your mouth about this. Everything for the rest of your life will be taken care of. What
01:34:41.600 would you tell joe from madonna i would tell him that three million dollars is not how could you
01:34:53.480 put a price on what happened to me first of all would you sit in my chair for three million dollars
01:34:59.440 for the rest of your life
01:35:04.220 nope i would not that's what i would ask him but joe moderna let's call him joe moderna because i
01:35:12.660 like that he's joe moderna joe moderna says yeah but it's going to take care of you it's going to
01:35:18.020 give you everything you need and you're never going to have to worry about money for the rest
01:35:22.080 of your life well that wouldn't be true first of all um if you hire a psw at my age i'm now 37
01:35:37.980 and you were to add that up um yeah i guess three million dollars might cover that let's make it
01:35:45.080 five let's make it five million whatever it takes kayla we want you to shut up that's joe
01:35:50.460 during his point he doesn't care how much money it is for them it's like you know what there's
01:35:54.900 i don't know i could always i there's always a there's always like um
01:35:59.740 there's always a little bit of a there's a road and then there's that little path on the side of
01:36:06.080 the road where you know some people walk and they're not it's a little more dangerous but
01:36:10.660 people sometimes walk there and you know you risk getting hit by a car but sometimes you get there
01:36:17.380 faster or you get there more efficiently or maybe you're running to save someone's life
01:36:22.800 I would rather have it both ways I could always take the money and never say the word Moderna
01:36:33.640 and talk about my vaccine injuries and all you have to do is look it up and Moderna is everywhere
01:36:39.500 they can't shut up what's already happened it's out there it is everywhere and
01:36:49.020 i i i would absolutely assume
01:36:53.340 that if there were to settle absolutely there'd be a non-disclosure agreement people don't react
01:37:01.880 the vaccine injury compensation board they had a non-disclosure agreement until people like me
01:37:07.380 started telling everybody they had a non-disclosure agreement and recently within days ago they
01:37:12.360 dropped it yeah because people like me were telling everybody did you know you get 250 000
01:37:20.580 that is not enough money to take care of someone like me at all like people have no idea i'm in a
01:37:26.560 30 000 wheelchair people and no it's not a rose royce it says i identify as lamborghini and my
01:37:32.580 son put a lamborghini logo on the back but it's no lamborghini all right and it's like an actual
01:37:39.200 like lamborghini logo it looks real it's it's great i love it it was funny um you know he wanted
01:37:45.000 mommy to drive a lamborghini so you know what i tell him i drive a lamborghini but it's no
01:37:49.200 lamborghini and you know he even said to me he said mom if you got all that money would you buy
01:37:54.960 me a lamborghini and i'm like no he's like why i'm like first of all it's a fast car and it's
01:38:00.300 dangerous and second of all you need to earn your own money and work hard for things he's like that's
01:38:04.760 a good point and you're nine that's another good point so you're nine yep he's got lots of toy
01:38:13.660 lamborghinis so i guess i could have bought him i guess i could have said yes bought a toy he
01:38:19.140 no what not one day he's doing a lamborghini he's my son you don't if he earns his own way
01:38:26.120 i would say go ahead you earn your own way that's one thing and this is not a way to earn my own
01:38:31.820 way but i would take that money and i would absolutely 100 make sure that this money would
01:38:40.380 go back to um not just i don't want to say paying my debts but but paying
01:38:50.280 supporting anybody who supported me so you know you know drew's got like the accountability
01:38:59.180 project and stuff going on where he tries to raise money for people that are that are you know
01:39:04.900 going through legal cases and and need money for funding like for instance like dan hartman's dad
01:39:11.260 is an example like that's going to cost a lot of money for expert witnesses i mean they they
01:39:16.820 quoted me $20,000 for an expert doctor right so this is not free um but um that being said I would
01:39:28.340 I would give back to not just things like that and not just vaccine injured Canadians but people
01:39:35.220 who are disabled like we have so many of us that aren't offered coffees that are not looked at I
01:39:43.580 just happen to be social and have a good looking son with me you know at the time but I said to
01:39:50.500 Mason this is not how everybody with disabilities are treated and you know that from school
01:39:55.500 and he's like yeah and I'm like this is the problem with the world and that is a big problem
01:40:03.360 and things are not accessible I do not have access I can't get in my shower unless someone
01:40:10.140 lifts me in and waits there um like my boy if my boyfriend doesn't lift me in the shower
01:40:17.360 like if something happens to him i'm in long-term care
01:40:20.120 i mean he stayed with me through all this people get divorced
01:40:26.740 people that have been i was about to ask you that like the divorce rate is
01:40:32.780 oh my goodness it is massive for spinal cord injuries in general that people just can't put
01:40:40.900 up with it it is awful every single thing that should be taken care of by a nurse
01:40:45.740 or a specialist he's doing it he's doing it all by himself and he's tired he wakes up at 3 40 in the
01:40:55.380 morning and if he's not there to turn me at night do you know what happens to people like me we get
01:41:04.760 sores and I wake up sometimes and I am screaming because when you know when you're sleeping your
01:41:12.960 automatic nervous system it moves you if you ever notice someone sleep they move around they don't
01:41:18.400 know it they roll they get off that's your brain saying okay my body's uncomfortable I need to move
01:41:23.340 so that you don't get a pressure wound. My body has those signals. So my brain goes, you got to
01:41:30.160 move. And all of a sudden, there's this massive pain signal. And it's bad. And it's like, it's
01:41:40.320 not just I've got to move. It's like, I've got to move now. And it's like being pinned under
01:41:46.320 a truck it feels like your leg is like pinned under something so heavy and so well it is heavy
01:41:56.080 because it doesn't move and it's stiff like there's a lot of things people don't realize
01:42:00.780 like I have spasms where my legs uncontrollably shake like I'm having a seizure I'm not having
01:42:06.600 a seizure that's my body's way of of saying something's wrong or that's it's saying that
01:42:12.340 your legs are tired or it's saying your legs haven't moved and they need to move anytime i
01:42:17.500 switch positions my legs will go crazy you know if you put me into a laying position i'll just
01:42:24.480 start having them you know and and this is this is life every day and it's not just me that has
01:42:30.520 to put up with it it's him and everything is put on him and that's the problem if you don't have
01:42:36.980 someone to care for you you're screwed and you're gonna go to long-term care what about family and
01:42:46.180 friends is there any support like that that's not like i'm not talking about the nurses that come 0.92
01:42:51.620 to your home daily well i had met my biological father and we had a great relationship for three
01:42:58.780 years i i never heard that anything was wrong with it he never said anything was wrong with it
01:43:03.500 he came to visit me I I loved him and when I became paralyzed um he disappeared and I've
01:43:12.320 and he said I don't want to really his what he got his wife to tell me he didn't want a
01:43:15.820 relationship with me anymore I never found out why yep I never found out why I you know I that
01:43:28.280 was it um friends they disappear um my mom has been a support but she looked after my dad
01:43:36.180 remember she was a caregiver to my dad before he went into long-term care she's also 70 years old
01:43:42.000 and she can't take care of me like you have to be able to physically um I'm not heavy but
01:43:51.480 My legs are so stiff from not moving that it's like, think about this.
01:43:58.820 My boyfriend is 5'2", and I am 5'7", and I weigh about the same as him, and he can lift me.
01:44:05.340 So he is strong, but there are times where he cannot, for the life of him, bend my leg.
01:44:11.540 It just won't go.
01:44:13.460 It's just like that stiff.
01:44:17.100 And, you know, you get a lot of urinary tract infections.
01:44:20.240 and when you get those you're you'll go through the spasms and the um it's about once a month
01:44:27.240 and you'll go through the um you'll go through the uh the the very the stiffness so it's like
01:44:35.740 having snakes wrapped around your leg and when I wake up in the morning and I have that pain
01:44:40.400 and I go to say please help me like please move me and I realize that he's at work uh that's
01:44:47.720 post-traumatic stress disorder every morning that is a i panic i mean i don't do anything
01:44:54.020 i i can't move i don't scream there's no one to hear me but i panic because if somebody doesn't
01:45:02.000 come or sometimes i look at the clock and i'm like i have three hours to go how am i going to
01:45:06.560 make it you know and you can't just take a bunch of pain meds they don't work and they cause side
01:45:13.380 effects you can't just you can't just do that and they're major side effects and you just
01:45:20.500 it's just not as simple as people think they don't have medications for the type of pain
01:45:28.040 that people then this is very common pain for anybody with a spinal cord injury
01:45:34.080 you know and this is the result of something the government
01:45:39.440 told me
01:45:43.040 they made me do the first two
01:45:45.640 and then they made it
01:45:46.880 they had trusted sources
01:45:51.440 like the
01:45:53.160 World Health Organization tell me
01:45:55.700 that I was going to
01:45:57.700 die from COVID
01:45:58.800 if I didn't get this vaccine because
01:46:01.760 it was just rampant
01:46:03.700 and killing people with autoimmune disorders
01:46:05.900 well it was the societal 0.84
01:46:07.800 pressures
01:46:08.340 too right i mean like anybody that you spoke to on the street what vaccine are you on i mean it
01:46:14.800 was always like you know if you said to them no i'm not doing that they looked at you like you
01:46:18.960 had i wouldn't know but i remember i i remember not knowing like i didn't think it was right
01:46:27.740 but i also remember a cop being there and i was like why is your
01:46:31.860 cop here when I'm going into a an autism a place where only people that worked with children with
01:46:39.780 autism could go to get vaccinated it was like a for teachers or or for people that were EAs or
01:46:45.480 just people that work with kids with autism and there are cops there and I'm thinking these are
01:46:51.260 like all professional people why are there cops here and I asked someone and they're like oh we've
01:46:55.840 been having a lot of problems with people having like crazy outbursts because we're giving Moderna
01:47:00.700 not Pfizer. And I thought, Oh, my God, you need to leave. And then I did it anyway. I had a gut
01:47:08.560 feeling. And I didn't listen to my gut. And how many times do we say that in our lives,
01:47:12.900 our gut feelings are there, because that's our animal instinct. You know, all mammals have that
01:47:19.460 it actually does come from your gut, your gut is connected to your brain, your brain and your gut
01:47:25.460 talk more than almost any other organ in your body you know those gut feelings are real they
01:47:33.440 actually are like part of your flight or fights response and when we don't listen to them we all
01:47:41.120 know that things can happen and we lose when we lose the the sensation of trusting our gut
01:47:48.680 then we're losing our animal instincts and we are mammals we are animals and you know i worked
01:47:57.060 with animals my whole life so when i have a gut feeling that this is what i'm supposed to be doing
01:48:02.060 and the last gut feeling ended me up in a chair
01:48:05.960 you know what ignoring the last gut feeling exactly last gut exactly sorry yeah i just
01:48:15.100 i knew for a year that this is what i was supposed to be doing and when it all lined up i'm like well
01:48:20.540 now you're you're screwed you have to i didn't it wasn't because anyone made me do it it was just
01:48:26.080 you know like i said i sat my family down and told them 0.99
01:48:31.300 like this is going to change our lives and it might not all be good
01:48:35.360 i think i'm like i don't know what the government's going to do to me if they're going to come after
01:48:40.240 me like how do I know they're not going to freeze my accounts how do I know like I don't know how
01:48:47.140 do I know like how did they know how did the the you know the the convoy people know that that was
01:48:54.640 going to happen to them I'm speaking out I'm protesting what happened basically I mean this
01:49:01.180 is sort of a form of protest I might not be picketing in Ottawa or honking a horn but I'm
01:49:08.220 screaming and I don't know what the government's going to do to me I don't know if they think I'm
01:49:15.300 I'm rich all of a sudden and they're gonna cut me off disability I don't have access to any of that
01:49:20.460 money as far as it's going to work like any money that's raised there's lawyers involved there's
01:49:28.040 accountants involved it's not like I get you know whatever's raised and it gets handed to me and I
01:49:33.640 get to go spend it on a lamborghini that's not that's not how this is working that money if it
01:49:40.080 says it's going towards this there's going to be receipts that show this is what it went towards
01:49:45.420 like it's all going to be very accountable because i'm not going to be accused of
01:49:49.980 anything and i i can't afford to lose disability because they're the ones that
01:49:55.140 pay for my insulin now and they're the ones that pay for things that i'd be dead
01:50:01.940 if that because they work you know that's pretty much where the uh where the discussion ends
01:50:11.580 and i would like to thank kayla for coming on tonight i'm certainly hoping you guys can hear
01:50:16.160 me at this point now i know it's been a struggle for the past hour or so watching that and only
01:50:23.860 hearing kayla's part of the conversation and then if you had headphones on you could hear me i really
01:50:29.800 don't know what the heck happened there. I've got to be honest. I don't know what it was.
01:50:35.160 But I think Kayla is at the point right now where if we were to say, Kayla,
01:50:43.540 we want you, and we're going to come with you, obviously, we want you to get a special audience
01:50:52.760 with the government, with all MPs and give a speech in the House of Commons about what
01:50:59.940 happened to you. And then we bring in another hundred, two hundred, three hundred people who
01:51:09.880 have been injured by this formula. And we make them in front of the entire nation understand
01:51:17.360 that this is not safe and effective.
01:51:20.360 It never was safe and effective.
01:51:22.700 And everything that you've been saying
01:51:24.600 from the beginning of this nonsense
01:51:26.060 has been nothing but political.
01:51:31.420 I so admire people like Kayla Pollack.
01:51:35.260 And this is where
01:51:36.140 when we ask for donations,
01:51:43.040 you know, when I come out,
01:51:44.120 and I said this at the beginning of the show tonight, you guys,
01:51:46.600 When I come out and I say, hey, you know what, you want to donate to help me keep this thing going?
01:51:50.800 I mean, I'm not kidding around here.
01:51:54.420 This is how we're going to do it.
01:51:55.940 This is how we are going to save our country, to save our kids.
01:52:02.180 I mean, shows like this, people like Kayla, lawyers, not that they need to be paid, the courts need to be paid, the government needs to get their cut of all of this stuff.
01:52:12.440 I mean, it's a diabolical system that we're in, but we're in it.
01:52:16.220 and so money needs to be paid out like kayla was saying you got twenty thousand dollar quote for
01:52:23.200 an expert doctor seventy thousand dollars for a service animal i mean it's insane and she can't
01:52:30.140 work so this is one of the reasons that i have her give send go flashing on the bottom of the screen
01:52:37.360 and i hope that you'll consider giving whatever you can it guys again we're not asking for
01:52:43.080 massive amounts of money here, but right now
01:52:46.800 there are 2,000 or better
01:52:51.340 people watching this show live.
01:52:54.600 So if everybody threw in $5, $10,
01:52:58.220 $5, $10, then she's going to be covered for a little bit.
01:53:06.820 And I know not everybody can.
01:53:09.140 And I appreciate that. And believe me, there are no guilt trips here.
01:53:13.080 it's whatever you can do it's whatever you can do if you can't then I would appreciate Kayla
01:53:22.880 would appreciate you sharing this getting it out to people who might be able to help out
01:53:28.520 financially because I'll tell you what she's going to do she's going to keep speaking out
01:53:34.180 she is going to continue getting her message out to people and she's going to make them understand
01:53:40.460 and as far as her attitude regarding her situation amazing i have nothing but respect
01:53:50.520 for this woman and her kid seems pretty cool too
01:53:54.920 so yeah um give send go.com slash kayla pollock i put the link down in the comments on facebook
01:54:04.380 and on X and on Rumble.
01:54:07.340 It's in the comments as well.
01:54:08.520 If you guys would like to make a donation of any amount,
01:54:13.120 it would be much appreciated.
01:54:15.100 And big thanks to Drew and his gang at Veterans for Freedom
01:54:18.920 for, first of all, finding Kayla.
01:54:22.220 And then once you saw the situation she was in,
01:54:24.840 Drew, I know you took action and you got her story out there.
01:54:31.140 So thank you for doing that.
01:54:32.380 And thank you for your continued support in setting up more interviews like this for more independent media, not just in Canada, but all across the world as well.
01:54:43.160 Kayla was talking about her story being translated into several different languages now.
01:54:50.540 We're dealing with a worldwide problem here.
01:54:53.140 This is not just a Canadian problem.
01:54:55.200 This is a worldwide problem.
01:54:56.540 And Kayla's ready for that challenge.
01:54:59.740 So I want to thank her.
01:55:01.080 I want to thank veterans for freedom. I want to thank you guys for doing what you can to help
01:55:05.360 because it's all cyclical. You know, when you put $5 towards somebody like Kayla or $10
01:55:11.400 towards somebody like Kayla or somebody like me doing this show, what you're getting in return
01:55:17.160 is the message out. You are helping. People are always asking me, shadow, what can I do to help?
01:55:22.100 What can I do to help? Well, look, if, if your role isn't going to be front and center, if you're
01:55:29.280 not on the front lines, let's just say.
01:55:32.000 That's all right.
01:55:33.460 You don't need to be.
01:55:34.380 In every war that's ever been fought,
01:55:37.260 there are different functions.
01:55:38.740 People have different functions all the time.
01:55:41.420 You can be behind the scenes.
01:55:43.020 You can be support people.
01:55:44.800 We're all in this together.
01:55:47.020 And when I say that, I mean it genuinely.
01:55:50.000 We are.
01:55:52.680 And nobody should get any more credit than anybody else.
01:55:55.960 We're all soldiers in this.
01:55:59.280 And I think maybe that's what some people don't quite understand.
01:56:03.900 They maybe feel like, unless they're sitting in front of a camera
01:56:07.060 or they're holding court someplace,
01:56:09.300 that they're not really doing what they can.
01:56:11.880 That's not true.
01:56:13.640 By supporting people like Kayla, by supporting this show,
01:56:18.000 by supporting other shows like it, you are doing something.
01:56:22.100 And I want you to think of it like that.
01:56:25.880 It's very important, and I want to thank you again.
01:56:29.280 now um april 1st here's what you can do go to your closest provincial border first go to
01:56:39.580 um national protest national nationwide sorry nationwide protest against the carbon tax it's
01:56:49.100 a group on facebook it's been growing and growing and growing like crazy especially for the past
01:56:53.780 few days i think there's 36 or 37 000 people in it now there's two more weeks to go two weeks
01:56:59.060 um this coming monday april the 1st thousands of people are going to be gathering at provincial
01:57:04.800 borders across the country and we're going to be gathering doing slow rolls to protest the carbon
01:57:10.980 tax hike another one that trudeau has got lined up for us which could mean anywhere between 17
01:57:17.360 and 20 cents extra per liter of gasoline that you purchase and he's not going to be done there
01:57:23.780 there's going to be more and more and more and more. So we need to send a message to this guy
01:57:29.120 that we're not going to take it anymore. I know the song, but he needs to hear. Now, the other
01:57:38.900 thing is, and this is something that Sam Field, he's one of the organizers, Sam and I talked about
01:57:43.300 last night in the show, in case you missed, go back and watch. We need to maintain a certain
01:57:48.580 sense of decorum at these rallies at these protests we can't be yelling and screaming
01:57:55.100 we can't come out loaded for bear we have to be sensible about it yeah we can be enthusiastic and
01:58:02.400 yes we can have a good time but ultimately they're going to try and make us look like a bunch of 0.90
01:58:07.780 knuckle dragger white extremist racist bigot you name it right wing you know all that stuff the 0.94
01:58:15.240 left-wing corporate media throws at us. So we have to go above and beyond the other way 0.99
01:58:20.300 to not look like that. Yeah, of course, they're going to plant people. They're going to plant
01:58:24.160 Confederate flags and they're going to plant Nazi flags in there too. We know that that wasn't us. 0.84
01:58:32.660 We know that. And one thing that I'm going to tell you now, if you're going to one of these
01:58:38.060 protests and you see the left-wing corporate media roll up, whether it's global, whether it's
01:58:42.140 city TV news, whether it's CTV or CBC especially, do not speak to them. Don't talk to them. They're
01:58:51.380 going to want to talk to you. Don't talk to them because if you give them the chance, they will
01:58:55.500 take what you say. They will spin it. They'll leave the best parts, the context on the cutting
01:58:59.780 room floor, and they will make you appear as though you are some kind of weird ass extremist 0.78
01:59:06.000 who wants to take over the government. 0.98
01:59:09.380 They will.
01:59:10.580 They did it at the Freedom Convoy.
01:59:12.740 They'll do it again.
01:59:14.680 And the other thought is
01:59:16.260 that Trudeau is looking for something,
01:59:18.680 anything that he can do
01:59:20.000 to use the Emergencies Act again,
01:59:22.760 to crack down on Canadians,
01:59:24.120 to let them know that he's the boss 0.99
01:59:26.020 and you will listen
01:59:27.280 and that's all there is to it.
01:59:28.860 He's looking for something.
01:59:30.360 Don't give it to him.
01:59:33.160 All right.
01:59:34.620 That's it for the show tonight,
01:59:35.800 you guys one more thing for all of you guys uh website members all access website members
01:59:41.080 something happened on the website earlier tonight i don't know what it was it was on the providers

01:59:49.320 we did record that with kayla earlier this afternoon and again i apologize for my end
01:59:53.720 on the audio i'm glad everybody could hear kayla that's the most important thing um we seem to have
