00:19:31.740No, this is on the individual. I mean, if they choose to come out and represent, they will be asked to represent under our code of conduct and anybody that chooses to show up and be a part of this.

00:19:54.260And, you know, if people can't get behind that and mind their P's and Q's and carry on with professionalism and, you know, pride for their country and their country mates.

00:20:18.540So we're talking about absolutely no violence. If you plan on coming out with any kind of weapons, I mean, like, because we know what's happened, you know, the last couple of years, even when people don't do anything, there's still going to be some kind of a plant.
00:20:36.040So I guess my next question is, are you prepared for undercover, kind of like, you know, in Ottawa with that guy that we know was pretty much a CSIS agent carrying the Nazi flag or the Confederate flags around or planting weapons like at Coutts?
00:20:50.420Are we prepared for that kind of a thing?
00:20:54.660I don't think anybody's ever prepared for it.
00:20:57.320I think that's for the people that are watching the slander come across to filter out themselves.
00:21:03.860I absolutely agree with you. They will try to to peg us as everything they can to try and maintain traction, maintain an agenda for themselves.

00:30:31.660I mean, the stories we tell and the prop that it gives you to succeed in fine form, it's real to know that, you know, when before before that ever happened, a lot of us were locked up and and we were thinking that, you know, we're sound of mind and we're trying to calculate why this is happening to our country.
00:30:51.720And then all of a sudden Ottawa happened and you realized you weren't so you weren't so crazy and that that this didn't make sense to a lot of other good people.
00:31:00.460And holy moly, you know, it went from 100 to 1000 to 10,000.
00:31:04.340And then it's like, this is this is Canada.

00:44:50.140You've read the Bible, and you have become Christian, I'm going to say.
00:44:55.960How often do they test that while you're in lockup?
00:45:00.220What kinds of things have they done to test your faith?
00:45:07.000They would uproot my living conditions.
00:45:10.200So you get, you do that constancy to your living conditions.
00:45:13.620And you get, you get kind of relaxed and you get into a groove.
00:45:19.220And then they would uproot that, transfer me around to, you know, like for example, I was spending most of my time in Medicine Hat, and then they transferred me to Calgary, and then back to Westbridge during court hearings and all that stuff.
00:45:41.920So it was like during those times, they would have to put me in a segregation unit
00:45:50.000because I had all of a sudden this no-contact order with Chris Lyfe, I think Chris Carver.
00:45:57.640So in the jail here in Lethbridge where Chris and Chris were, there's only two units.
00:46:06.500And so the other units that are available are not a general, well, they are a general population unit, but they're like an ALU, they call it.
00:46:22.200There's no free time like the other guys had on the GP units.
00:46:25.660It was just pretty much because they put me in an intake unit where you have new inmates coming off the street suffering from drug withdrawals and stuff.
00:46:36.740So there's a lot of screaming and banging on walls and all day, all night, and you're locked up 22 hours a day.
00:46:44.400I mean, so that's one of the things both Jerry and I had to experience and was being in segregation and being in segregation during our trials, like during our, not our trial trial, but pre-trials that we were attending over last year and for weeks on end and stuff like that.
00:47:06.520And we would be, he would be in one intake unit and I would be in a healthcare unit and they would switch us around a little bit.
00:47:15.640So, you know, you're sitting there trying to concentrate on your faith, trying to concentrate on your thoughts.
00:47:23.120And, you know, you're screaming and yelling and swearing and pounding and banging and just being locked up 22 hours a day in your 8x12 cell.
00:47:34.160You've got to have a strong mind for that.
00:47:37.440So I was very fortunate to just go into a meditation state and just pray and think.
00:47:46.640Think about positive things and think about reasoning and why I'm here, how everything has happened throughout my life.
00:48:01.580So it was a lot of time to reflect on a lot of things.
00:48:05.360So I took a lot of time that way to do that, and it worked on my own inner strength.
00:56:20.260So I thought, oh, we're just going to go in here, and just like we've heard numerous times again, oh, if it gets bail and you'll be out in a few days.
00:56:30.280So it's like, okay, well, I did think I'm going to just have to stick it through for a day or two until everything got sorted out and organized properly.
00:56:40.480And then I was not expecting to be staying in quarantine for 14 days, not alone, you know, still here two years later.
01:06:31.100There was an incident that happened on that unit where my cellmate and some of them guys had some kind of an issue.
01:06:42.080I don't know what that involved in the politics, but one of the guys came up to me and said,
01:06:49.360look, we respect you, we know who you are, so we want you to, tonight, to stay extra longer,
01:06:57.500take some extra time and fill your coffee cup over at the sink, and don't go to your
01:07:03.180cell right away at lock-up, because we're going to go and we have to have a chat with
01:07:06.700your cellmate that I met and I knew that was pretty much code for six guys are going to rush
01:07:12.440into my cell and beat up this guy and they didn't want me around otherwise as a witness or anything
01:07:19.780see what was going to happen so it was a courtesy thing telling me to stay away and so that was
01:07:26.660overwhelming at a point too going wow thanks thankfully they did that because when I was
01:07:31.740talking to other guys about it they're like normally they wouldn't do that they would just
01:07:34.780rushed into the cell and whoever's in there if they have beef with one guy they're going to
01:07:39.100pretty much knock out whoever else is in there so no one sees what's going on or the intimidation
01:07:43.840factor of don't go and tell the guards what's going on or anything like that so they wouldn't
01:07:48.160even ask questions so that was a kind of a dodged uh i dodged a bullet there so to say uh but
01:07:56.880thankfully again i i was grateful for talking to them and and and uh telling them my story
01:08:03.780And it was grateful for them to, you know, take me out of that equation and give me the sense of stay out of there for a while and you'll be fine.

01:10:57.800I know you mentioned earlier that this is maybe your new calling, you know, like maybe you're, you're going to be spreading the word.

01:11:09.680I'd definitely like to be involved in Stapleton's service and maybe go to different sales and speak with Stapleton, with inmates and tell my story.
01:11:23.800and as well as I want to be able to be, like I said, a footstool for other inmates that have met me

01:11:42.520As I said, I do believe their stories need to be told so we can, as a society,
01:11:48.260make change that's going to benefit us all and not be a detriment to society.
01:11:53.800So, yes, as much as I love the smell and sound of diesel fumes and I miss moving dirt, like I love the smell of fresh topsoil in the morning sitting in an excavator with the windows open and stripping topsoil, something about that smell is amazing.
01:12:11.480And the smell of a C-15 cat engine being cranked over and sitting in a truck and idling and working.
01:12:20.440I just miss all the smells and I miss all the activities and the work because I'm a workaholic.
01:12:26.340I love to work, do things like that, construct and build.
01:12:30.420And I do feel that my new calling is just to, you know, what's the sense of having, going back to really normal, if you want to say.
