00:04:32.920 before I begin the show tonight, the show is brought to you by CanadaNanoSilver.ca. Kev
00:04:39.260 dropped off a special shipment for me today. This is the silver biotic stuff. This is the
00:04:44.040 this is the immune formula that i take once a day regularly one teaspoon and it enhances your immune
00:04:50.460 so there it is right there and i was also just sucking on a vitamin c lozenge but i'll explain
00:04:56.140 all this stuff to you later on and all the retail locations you can get it at and online at
00:05:00.960 canadananosilver.ca the show is also brought to you by jeff stone and the gang at tacit
00:05:06.580 investigations and security all right let's bring this up here
00:05:10.100 well not the canada nano silver that's for later this ridiculous this is this is supposed to be a
00:05:18.580 reporter oh my god this is supposed to be a reporter in 2022 they have a tiktok reporter
00:05:24.600 with global news and here's what she reported regarding pierre polyev
00:05:31.260 earlier this morning conservative leader pierre polyev's official youtube videos included a hidden
00:05:37.080 tag appealing to online misogynistic movements ones that canada's intelligence agencies view
00:05:42.680 as a danger here's what you need to know a global news analysis of 50 of polyev's most recent youtube
00:05:48.040 videos showed that they included a hidden tag used by misogynistic online movements the tag is the
00:05:53.880 acronym for quote men going their own way it's a mostly online movement comprised of anti-feminists 0.64
00:05:59.560 that try to completely cut women out of their lives according to the southern poverty law center the 0.99
00:06:04.360 the movement overlaps with more aggressive forms of, quote, male super...
00:06:07.740 All right, hold on. Before we continue, I want everybody to know
00:06:10.780 that the Southern Poverty Law Center is a Marxist organization.
00:06:15.980 Just so you're aware of that.
00:06:18.240 Within hours of global news sending a detailed list of questions to Poliev's office,
00:06:22.040 the tag disappeared.
00:06:23.320 Poliev's office said the conservative leader was unaware embedded tags existed,
00:06:27.120 so he didn't know they were used for uploads to his YouTube channel
00:06:29.580 over the last four and a half years.
00:06:31.440 And they said Polyev condemns, quote, misogyny and all forms of online hate.
00:06:36.140 You can read the full story at globalnews.ca.
00:06:39.220 Oh, my God.
00:06:39.580 Oh, wait, I can't take it.
00:06:41.540 I don't want to.
00:06:42.060 No, no, no, not again.
00:06:44.240 It's not even an auto-repeat.
00:06:45.700 It just decided to do that itself.
00:06:48.040 Okay, so because of that story from, oh, my God, Rachel Gilmore from Global,
00:06:52.840 this happened in the House of Commons today.
00:06:55.740 And there's all, you know, I love when Trudeau decides, I'm going to go and take on Polly M. 0.98
00:07:03.320 This is what happens every time he does that. 0.98
00:07:05.780 Check this out.
00:07:06.540 But there is another important issue that is on Canadians' minds, particularly Canadians' women's minds as we meet here.
00:07:14.860 If it were not for global news, we would not have learned that the conservative leader has been purposefully using his videos to appeal to far-right misogynistic online movements.
00:07:25.740 Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold on just a second. Even the report that we just watched, the report that Trudeau is getting this from, said that Polyev didn't know that these embedded hashtags even existed. And yet Trudeau goes ahead and says purposefully. So he lied in the House of Commons again. Let's continue.
00:07:46.960 and they have had devastating real-life consequences.
00:07:51.360 Mr. Speaker, I call on the Conservative leader to stand in this House, take responsibility, and apologize.
00:07:56.960 The Honourable Leader of the Opposition.
00:08:16.960 The Honourable Leader of the Opposition.
00:08:26.080 I condemn this organization, and I corrected the problem as soon as it became known to
00:08:30.500 me.
00:08:31.500 I condemn all forms of misogyny, including when the Prime Minister fired the very first
00:08:39.240 a female and Indigenous attorney general.
00:08:44.360 I condemn him when he mistreated minority young women in his own caucus who had to leave politics.
00:08:54.660 And I condemn him for when he dressed up in racist costumes so many times he forgot them all.
00:09:00.240 We condemn it all, Mr. Speaker.
00:09:09.240 Mr. Speaker, the choice made by the Conservative leader in reaching out to extremist online groups into, you know, pulling in anti-women, misogynistic groups for his own political gain is one that he will have to answer for.
00:09:29.060 I think women across this country want to know why he allowed this to happen and want to see him take responsibility for it.
00:09:36.840 The Honourable Leader of the Opposition.
00:09:40.300 I took responsibility and corrected it as soon as it became known to me.
00:09:43.700 But the Prime Minister does not take responsibility for the extremism that he has funded.
00:09:48.880 He funded a vicious anti-Semite to spread hatred online with taxpayers' dollars.
00:09:55.380 He repeatedly, in fact so many times he can't even keep track,
00:09:58.940 dressed up in racist costumes for which he has not ever come fully to account.
00:10:03.940 And he drove many women of his own caucus out of the party and out of Parliament all together with his mistreatment of them.
00:10:09.600 We condemn all that behaviour. We condemn misogyny always and everywhere.
00:10:14.340 And we ask the Prime Minister to finally do the same.
00:10:18.220 The Right Honourable Prime Minister.
00:10:29.280 Mr. Speaker, we have all seen the effective campaign that the leader of the opposition ran to become leader, using online videos, using ways of reaching out through social media.
00:10:43.180 We all marveled at his admiration of old wood.
00:10:46.740 What we didn't see was that every time he put out the.
00:10:52.160 All right. All right. You know what? That's enough.
00:10:54.080 that's enough because the train seals are going to keep barking and and i guys i just can't take 0.94
00:10:59.340 it anymore it's just trudeau making an ass of himself yet again and not accepting responsibility
00:11:07.000 for anything he does yet again marty up north martin belanger is our guest tonight marty thank
00:11:13.600 you for joining the show and congratulations on the hashtag that you got going a few weeks ago
00:11:19.060 we'll get to that what are your thoughts on what happened today did you see any of that
00:11:22.960 oh well actually first off you know thanks for having me on the show and uh hi to everybody
00:11:30.200 who's listening from across the country it was it was interesting to hear you announce all those
00:11:34.700 places i mean i i'm lucky i've traveled this great country uh extensively in my 30 years so
00:11:40.260 you know uh hi to everybody you know i i used to watch question period i can't watch question
00:11:46.240 period anymore i mean it's it's just it's a it's a joke it's a comedy and and you know i i like the
00:11:53.240 clever bits once in a while you know last week when uh that young mp from uh i think it was from
00:11:59.020 sherwood park who answered uh freelance question and he rhymed off with uh bohemian rhapsody that
00:12:05.100 was brilliant so yeah but uh no i you know i i only heard briefly about the hashtag thing today
00:12:11.640 And my only comment on that is that, you know, the embedded hashtags in YouTube, because I've been on YouTube for about a decade now.
00:12:19.640 And in the good old days, when we wanted a hashtag at the bottom of a video, the only way we could do it was by putting a location for the video.
00:12:28.220 And it's only very recently in the last maybe year and a half, two years that hashtags have been able to, we're allowed three hashtags at the bottom of a video.
00:12:36.980 And you can just put them anywhere in your description.
00:12:39.160 so if if uh poliev has hashtags that go back to three four years like people are saying
00:12:45.220 that means that somebody in his organization went ahead and and put him in there or somebody else
00:12:50.420 you know and so i don't put a lot of um credibility in this whole thing whatsoever i mean
00:12:55.940 go ahead no you you first no no i and he and he acknowledged what happened right away so that's
00:13:03.580 that's the best part now i'm just looking on my screen am i cut in half or or do i need to
00:13:08.500 reposition the camera a bit or it's all good a little bit over i'm seeing your books more than
00:13:12.180 you really just yeah no i'm just uh let me let me get me like how's that that's better there you go
00:13:18.540 yeah so anyway uh yeah i mean these things happen somebody on his team obviously put a hashtag in
00:13:25.840 and and even still we don't know what organizations they were talking about doesn't even have to be
00:13:31.060 his team i mean he could be hacked right you your account could be hacked i hope he has more security
00:13:35.780 than than me but he could he could easily be hacked but they just don't even mention which
00:13:40.540 organizations they're specifically referring to and you know this anti-woman thing i mean what
00:13:45.700 what what groups i looked around today to see if i could find anti-women groups in canada men only
00:13:52.480 men hating women i couldn't find anything now it's not like they'll advertise on social media
00:13:57.660 or maybe they will i don't know but i couldn't find anything like that no it's like when i put
00:14:02.760 on a hashtag that says e-r-t-w and very few people know what that means and you know and if anybody's
00:14:08.420 wondering e-r-t-w is an old joke it says engineers rule the world so um and i'm an engineer so we
00:14:14.600 have our own so organizations do have you know whether it's the masons with their secret
00:14:18.840 handshakes and stuff like that and and you know that's all it is but i i mean personally the uh
00:14:25.300 the the more fascinating aspect of the story today is rachel gilmore like somebody like that you
00:14:32.540 know and and the fact that that i mean she she her her hate on for for poiliev is is over the top
00:14:40.620 you know i i suspect that she applied for a job on his pr team and got rejected and so she has a
00:14:45.940 vendetta against him and then and then to hear the prime minister literally say the prime minister
00:14:50.500 says i get my information from from from from global hot off the press so you know and and
00:14:57.040 When we do talk about the hashtag from two weeks ago, the Marty up North, or the Trudeau must go hashtag, that was like the, for me, the disappointing, the biggest learning, well, there was several learnings from that, but how the collusion between the mainstream media and our government is sad.
00:15:20.120 I don't know what else to say.
00:15:21.440 I was about to ask you what your thoughts on the and we call them left wing corporate media in this community here in the shadow Davis community, their left wing corporate media or they're called the left wing Marxist media. We don't go with mainstream because that would be a compliment to them. But, you know, we know that they're funded, at least in part. And this is, you know, I worked in media for 37 years.
00:15:41.920 So I can tell you when that funding thing started with Trudeau, it was only for the papers and the magazines.
00:15:48.700 It wasn't for the electronic media.
00:15:50.820 It wasn't for the networks.
00:15:52.540 But they get padded in other ways from the federal government through the CRTC, through backdoor sweetheart deals.
00:15:59.620 If they want to buy a radio station here or they want to dump a radio station there, they'll get quicker approval if they just go with what the government says for them to do, which actually puts millions of dollars in their pocket.
00:16:11.920 So yeah, they definitely are taken care of by the federal government through the CRTC or directly. So they are definitely in the pocket of the liberal government, not to mention that. But also in Toronto, and I know you mentioned earlier in the show that you've been all across this country. I think you're originally from Quebec, right?
00:16:31.240 No, I'm actually from Northern Ontario.
00:16:33.700 So when you were introducing people from places like Hearst and Lolac,
00:16:37.880 and, you know, that's my neck of the, my family's neck of the woods.
00:16:41.340 I'm originally from Timmins, but I've been here now for, you know, all my adult life.
00:16:47.240 Oh, well, anyway, Toronto is the heartland of the media, right?
00:16:51.480 It is also a bastion for the Liberal Party of Canada and for liberal thinking.
00:16:57.240 You know, I don't even like to say liberal.
00:16:58.620 I want to say left-wing thinking.
00:17:00.540 And because they're immersed in this radical left-wing melting pot, they all think the same way with very few exceptions.
00:17:10.200 And that's why we get what we get when we read our national newspapers and websites every day.
00:17:15.900 It's because they think they're actually reporting down the middle.
00:17:18.840 They do think that, but they're not.
00:17:21.220 They've got a far-left-leaning skew with everything they report, and that's the tragedy of it.
00:17:27.180 that combined with the actual funding from the federal government makes the media just
00:17:31.120 worthless in this country in my yeah no no i agree i agree um so let's talk about the hashtag
00:17:38.520 that you put out there and and i know the hashtag had been around for a while but you brought it to
00:17:44.160 life with with a rather colorful post and that was what three weeks ago now september 13th so yeah
00:17:50.560 almost three weeks ago um and the tag almost never happened you know i've told this story to a few
00:17:56.280 other people but i you know i i'm happy to read recount the story here there might be people who
00:18:00.780 haven't heard it but yeah um i wasn't supposed to post anything like that that week uh because
00:18:07.380 you know well let me step back just a wee bit you know i've been on twitter for about um you know
00:18:12.680 three four years right now it's it's an interesting platform it gives people a voice i mean my my
00:18:17.260 my i'm known for my youtube channel where i've been on for a decade doing hiking videos but then
00:18:23.360 Twitter gave me a sort of a political voice and for the last two three years my my I was known
00:18:30.880 on Twitter as a guy who was sort of busting down that COVID narrative especially here in Alberta
00:18:35.820 and and like many people have been trying to get COVID behind us and get past it and so if you
00:18:41.720 look at Marty's Twitter feed for the last say two months it's pretty boring it's actually pretty
00:18:47.040 boring I kind of ran out you know I followed a little bit of Poilier and stuff like that but
00:18:50.740 somewhere around the 9th I said hey see you folks I'm off to to do a four-day hike and forest fires
00:18:57.560 in BC and in the mountains so I ended up back at home and I had time off anyway so I'm sitting at
00:19:02.280 my computer on the on the 13th or on Tuesday two weeks ago and I was actually engaged with somebody
00:19:09.120 and we were talking politics and in in the in the course of that engagement the this old video of
00:19:18.180 Trudeau came up in the discussion and you know and that's the old I don't know if you can find
00:19:23.200 it quickly or maybe we should have prepped it but it's the video where Trudeau was on a French
00:19:28.680 Canadian television show and he was and he was talking and I'll paraphrase what he said because
00:19:35.120 he said it in French but what he said is you know our the way out of this pandemic is through
00:19:40.280 vaccination and then he said some people are still fiercely opposed to vaccination then the
00:19:46.920 host interjected she said they're radicals and he didn't correct her he just went on to say
00:19:52.080 and they're generally anti-science often misogynistic often racist and then he went
00:19:59.360 on further to say which leads me to ask the question as a prime minister do we tolerate
00:20:04.140 these people and then he went on even further to say but you folks here in Quebec did the right
00:20:09.080 thing because you chose to get vaccinated. And, and the engagement ended, but I, I, I thought
00:20:16.180 about that video so much during that engagement. And I actually, I did something else during the
00:20:21.300 engagement with the other person is that I actually translated the video from French to
00:20:25.980 English to paraphrase it. And when you, when you, so anyways, I, I, it was such an in my mind and
00:20:31.600 suddenly it ticked on me. Like I, you know, when you digest what the prime minister had said at
00:20:36.100 the time I'm like wow he's he's he's he's stereotyping people he's literally attacking
00:20:42.640 people trying to dehumanize them um demonize them and and and I just was unhappy so um I I I felt
00:20:52.640 like just literally sending out a note to the prime minister and that's the post that I sent out
00:20:57.060 and if you maybe if you have that post quickly it's the one that's pinned to my um if you go
00:21:02.740 marty up north on on twitter is the one that's pinned at the top of my uh of my timeline but um
00:21:09.220 what i did is i i basically found a picture of myself because i wanted to put a face to the
00:21:17.220 post and i and i and i was basically tweeting out to the prime minister that hey you know i'm i'm
00:21:22.480 marty i'm 55 i'm a father i'm bilingual i've i'm an engineer i solve problems and i'm a hockey coach
00:21:28.760 But according to you, I'm somebody who's, you know, undesirable and needs to be dealt with.
00:21:36.220 And I hit and then here's the bit of the interesting thing is that if people look at my history of my Twitter feeds, I rarely use hashtags.
00:21:46.160 I almost never use hashtags because I need usually every little bit of characters to make my point.
00:21:51.740 And I usually have to put a reference at the bottom, especially when I'm talking about COVID data, because the moment you don't have a proper reference, you get canceled by Twitter or whatever.
00:22:01.600 So so then I'm trying to think of a post.
00:22:04.940 And and and so, you know, you type in Trudeau must and I was kind of in bilingual mode.
00:22:11.160 You know, I won't say in French what I was thinking in my head, but Trudeau must go sort of came to the closest to what I wanted to say.
00:22:18.480 And and then it showed up.
00:22:20.620 So I don't claim originality for the hashtag because, you know, that existed before.
00:22:27.660 And then I don't claim originality for the shape or the style of the post because I've been on social media and these kinds of posts are common.
00:22:37.320 It's right there.
00:22:38.320 I'm a 55-year-old Canadian.
00:22:40.120 I'm married, father to four, university educated.
00:22:42.980 Yeah.
00:22:43.680 And so how this took off was amazing.
00:22:45.500 I even did one myself, Marty.
00:22:48.240 uh i saw so many people doing them and they were you know i guess what's it 240 characters on
00:22:54.520 twitter so you've got to you know tell the your life story in uh 220 characters and leave enough
00:23:01.560 space so that you can put the trudeau must go hashtag in there but amazing you know i'm a mother
00:23:07.000 of four i teach gymnastics i raise money for charity i i crochet on weekends i you know i
00:23:14.520 church go there was so many different stories that i saw i mean if you hit that hashtag on twitter
00:23:20.260 you could spend half a day going through all those stories and still not get easily
00:23:25.880 and and and you know i know i made that post and i left then i came back inside and um i could see
00:23:36.780 that i had a bunch of likes you know i have 8 000 followers at that time and i had a thousand
00:23:42.960 likes which is the first thing first thing and then i start seeing the retweets and then i start
00:23:49.520 seeing that it's busting out of my echo chamber because no matter what on social media we're on
00:23:54.180 an echo chamber and now i'm now i'm seeing posts like you described from people that normally
00:23:59.160 normally respond to marty up north you know i know the people who respond to me are generally
00:24:04.580 right wing and outdoorsy and you know marty apparently we have an echo here the people
00:24:10.160 are telling me that we have an echo even though you can't hear it and i can't hear it apparently
00:24:14.060 we we do have it somehow i don't let me leave and come back then yes please
00:24:18.740 so neither one of us neither marty nor i could hear this echo and yet you guys could hear this
00:24:30.780 echo this is mind-blowing to me because i've spent eight hours a grand total of eight hours
00:24:34.740 the last two days trying to get rid of this thing usually when um when the guest punches out and
00:24:42.700 then punches back in the echo goes away so let's see what happens here uh all right all right there
00:24:49.020 he is all right so anyway you were saying marty and the people will tell us i think i think i'm
00:24:54.460 sorry the the echo started when you put something on the screen that could be all right yeah okay
00:24:59.760 anyway so so yeah when i came back and i seen that it it not only was it being retweeted but
00:25:08.380 people were putting their own um spin on it which was absolutely fabulous i mean i spent a lot of
00:25:13.660 time reading those in fact i i found myself at sort of the heart of uh of uh you know people
00:25:20.780 called it a movement i i call it a storm i was at the middle of this storm but something really
00:25:25.720 interesting happened uh which was a bit draining is that people started reaching out to me so not
00:25:31.360 only were they sharing their stories but suddenly my my email account my dms on twitter all sorts
00:25:37.300 of places i mean i just i just had people calling sending notes and and then and then now i'm getting
00:25:44.180 goosebumps thinking about it because what what was really revealing about that is i learned that
00:25:49.140 there had been that there are there are hundreds of thousands of canadians who have been hurt by
00:25:55.180 the policies of this government and have been ignored and some of those canadians were on the
00:26:00.160 verge of call it a despair and the trucker convoy gave a lot of those canadians a lot of hope but
00:26:08.320 but the trucker convoy was something we most of us watched from a distance and then this suddenly
00:26:13.860 was sort of a phase two to that trucker convoy and then people were reaching out saying you know
00:26:19.480 um they were just happy to hear to read other comments from other people to realize that there
00:26:25.840 were there were a lot of people in the same boat so um you know that was that was the most revealing
00:26:30.800 moment of that that whole week for me did you have any pushback from the other side from people
00:26:36.100 saying well i mean you're still deplorable you're still a knuckle dragger because you decided not to
00:26:40.740 get this vaccine no that that didn't happen you know i mean how how could no that didn't happen
00:26:47.700 that was interesting because it's it's hard to i i think that that's why the post resonated and
00:26:53.500 and that's why trudeau and others had a hard time countering it because you can't you can't attack
00:26:59.240 us i mean there was people saying you hurt us and and what are you going to say to somebody
00:27:03.940 you know when when they say you hurt me when you go say well it's all your fault whatever it didn't
00:27:09.380 go there the attack that was deplorable was the attack from the gerald butts of the world and the
00:27:15.960 dean blundell's and others like that who who who attacked and naively for me i mean that was that
00:27:22.600 was that was funny because what did they say to you i i know uh butts responded to your hashtag
00:27:28.180 i didn't know that dean blundell and by the way for you guys who don't know dean blundell was a
00:27:32.760 pretty big name in toronto radio for a few years and i think now he's doing something else he might
00:27:37.340 be doing a live stream like this one but yeah they both responded kind of the same way dean
00:27:43.960 or um uh gerald butts responded by saying uh we're aware of this hashtag and obviously the
00:27:50.900 hashtag is is a you know is is a is a concerted effort by whatever by bots he called it and that's
00:27:58.880 where me naively i i actually went where dean where uh when where gerald made that comment i
00:28:05.780 I went underneath him and I said, hey, looks like I'm the guy who might have started this by
00:28:09.980 accident. Happy to chat if you want to chat. And then he blew that off, which, which made me as
00:28:16.000 the now now I'm the stubborn little bugger. So then I grabbed my phone, I went in my backyard, 0.97
00:28:20.280 and I videotaped myself talking. And then I posted that back to, to Gerald. And then Gerald
00:28:27.860 came back saying, well, I have no doubt that Marty is real. But the question now is who's
00:28:32.180 funding marty so and and and dean was almost in the same way and and it was hilarious but i i
00:28:39.920 to be honest it wasn't i didn't even care about it because i at this point i was more i was just
00:28:47.260 immersed in all the stories and all the other stuff and i couldn't care less about joe butts
00:28:52.220 and and others it just wasn't in my interest and you know interestingly they probably gave
00:28:58.220 that hashtag even more mileage just by responding because those two have large followings well i
00:29:05.400 mean the hashtag got into the millions at some point and which is the other interesting thing
00:29:09.440 because it's it's 100 obvious that twitter tried to suppress the hashtag i experienced it we all
00:29:15.940 experienced it you know if you retweeted and you typed in trudeau must go and then it would fill
00:29:21.760 it out on so it would auto finish the hashtag so you'd have to backtrack so people went you know
00:29:29.020 so then i come back i mean i was gone for 10 days and i come back and now it's like trudeau must go
00:29:33.440 to jail so forth they've been there's been some hilarious uh it's it was an interesting thing but
00:29:40.160 you know and like i said learning about canadians was the most important thing learning about the
00:29:45.920 the the the relationship between the media and and the government was another interesting thing
00:29:53.660 i mean we several people that i know tried to get other journalists rachel gilmore in court
00:29:59.360 included like you know tried to get her to pick up on the story and nobody would pick up on the
00:30:03.800 story which now i kind of have a theory on that because i think i think the media so that the
00:30:10.260 mainstream or what did you call it the left-wing corporate or marxist either one sure they're
00:30:15.400 They can't pick up on this. They can't do a story about, you know, I could hand them a binder. I could literally hand them a binder with 50,000 posts of people saying I got hurt. And they can't do a story about that because they would be investigating themselves because they were complicit. I absolutely stand by that.
00:30:34.180 some of the media were irresponsible in the last two years pushing the government narrative and
00:30:40.420 and being part of the coercion to get people vaccinated and all these mandates so the media
00:30:45.500 is complicit they can't investigate themselves they can't that's my opinion that's my theory
00:30:50.680 the government can't do it either because if they backtrack on this now and you know as the
00:30:55.520 information continues to come out about how many people were actually injured by this uh this
00:31:00.520 genetic formula uh they can never come out and say well we didn't know because we knew you know
00:31:07.120 if we knew how could you not know that this was dangerous or at the very least questionable
00:31:12.740 because it couldn't possibly have gone through enough testing before they released it uh on such
00:31:18.440 a wide uh scale basis but let me ask you this what do you think about the hashtag the trudeau
00:31:26.120 must go hashtag resonated the most with Canadians was it just the informal way that it was presented
00:31:32.780 or was it the fact that people actually sat down and took the time to tell stories about their lives
00:31:37.280 uh and then the bottom part no it it was personal it was a way for Canadians
00:31:44.320 to to to actively get involved and say you hurt me you know like I said it was it and it was simple
00:31:52.160 it was easy it was easy it and um people just picked a picture and put their own little um
00:31:58.980 their own little story and i mean look at and look at some of the people who responded right
00:32:03.860 i mean i don't know if you're aware but uh justin trudeau's half brother uh kyle kemper did his own
00:32:09.560 post um we had we had politicians that did it we had athletes we had uh then we had americans that
00:32:17.000 started doing it and then and then and then there was these two three little subgroups there was a
00:32:22.760 movement in in holland a movement in the uk or in new zealand and the movement in australia but
00:32:28.240 no it was easy to do and and simple actually um you remind me of a couple of things somebody
00:32:35.940 some somebody smarter than me did a little bit of research behind the scene and they said
00:32:39.880 that people did reactivate old accounts just to be able to do this which I believe and then another
00:32:47.660 interesting group was there were lots of people who said that they'd been on Twitter many times
00:32:52.440 and were always afraid to put a picture of themselves and get out there and and now you
00:32:56.820 know those people's like when a single mom or somebody says I'm actually going to put my picture
00:33:01.160 that's that's you know that's telling so yeah I wish somebody had figured out a way to make a
00:33:07.640 coffee book out of all of those because that would have been a fantastic you know thing to have
00:33:12.000 20 000 pictures of with little bios of canadians i mean it's kind of like the i am canadian um
00:33:19.280 campaign mostly canadian why don't you take some of the people from that from that hashtag i mean
00:33:26.740 i'm sure it's still there you can still get it all all of the different stories together why
00:33:31.240 don't you do that i mean not that you have the spare time to do it but i mean imagine how that
00:33:36.740 Yeah, but I think a politician, somebody probably will, you know, it's actually a nice logo, I'd say, for the PPC or somebody like that.
00:33:46.060 But let's go. Yeah, right. Yeah. Yeah. You know, he's just not ready.
00:33:50.140 Where do you see this going, Marty? Where do you see us going now as a country?
00:33:53.180 I know people have got different ideas about what's happening next and involvement with the World Economic Forum.
00:33:59.940 And it was just exposed yesterday. There is a deal in place with the federal government and the World Economic Forum
00:34:05.480 for the Known Traveller Digital Identity Program,
00:34:09.120 which is worth $105.3 million.
00:34:12.240 What do you see happening next?
00:34:16.520 Well, I mean, look at the stunts that Trudeau's done
00:34:19.900 in the last few weeks.
00:34:21.380 I see a guy like Trudeau who's completely disconnected
00:34:24.960 and is just going to...
00:34:27.460 Either he's already been punted from the party
00:34:30.080 and we don't know it yet, or...
00:34:32.540 I think he is.
00:34:33.180 So I think there's a change coming.
00:34:34.760 I mean, Trudeau's disconnected, Poiliev's in place, other pieces are coming together.
00:34:40.720 And for all intents and purposes, Canadians rarely vote for the same party for more than two, three terms.
00:34:48.900 I mean, the country's due for a change.
00:34:51.180 The trucker movement started that.
00:34:53.000 You know, the election during COVID in the middle was a bad call on Trudeau's part.
00:34:57.240 The way Canadians responded showed that it was just status quo.
00:35:00.600 We didn't want a change.
00:35:02.220 We are 100% ready for a change.
00:35:03.820 There'll be a change.
00:35:04.760 But the change right now is entirely in Trudeau and the Liberal Party's hands.
00:35:08.700 It's up to when they call the next election.
00:35:11.780 I think Trudeau himself is too narcissistic to step down.
00:35:16.020 He's being bombarded by, I mean, you know, this is a bad week.
00:35:19.180 He's got bad week after bad week after bad week after bad week.
00:35:22.800 I mean, he's got the Mass Casualty Commission going on.
00:35:26.840 He's got the commission into the Emergencies Act that's about to start.
00:35:32.060 He's got the fiasco in Iran that still there's a back door to that, too.
00:35:36.240 I mean, he can't condemn Iran. 0.70
00:35:37.960 You know, let's all remember, folks, Iran are the people who shut down a Ukrainian airline and then killed 63 Canadians. 0.82
00:35:45.580 And what did we do to Iran after that? 0.95
00:35:47.640 I have a feeling we swung a deal.
00:35:49.060 So he can't do anything now.
00:35:51.480 What else has he got?
00:35:52.760 He's got Bill Morneau coming out with a book probably in January.
00:35:56.780 He's got Mendocino going out lying, lying, lying, lying.
00:36:01.240 he's got like come on i mean you know he's just he and he's not interested in in running the
00:36:08.100 country so he's just on the sidelines right now so it's so the liberal strategists are trying to
00:36:13.140 decide what to do but i don't think there's anything they can do the worst thing the best
00:36:16.920 they can do is drag this out but if they drag this out too long they might destroy the liberal brand
00:36:22.740 does paulieff do any better though when he when he comes in i mean i've been saying for a while
00:36:27.320 Well, I don't know if we can vote our way out of this just based upon policies that are already in place that are irreversible, like maybe the U.N. migration compact and and other things that have been in place for many, many years.
00:36:38.720 I'm not sure if we can go back on any of those things.
00:36:41.180 Well, I mean, for me, that's personally, that's an interesting question.
00:36:44.520 I mean, I'm not going to you know, I don't lie.
00:36:47.080 I'm no secrets here.
00:36:48.000 Marty's a bit of a separatist.
00:36:49.440 I mean, Marty's been traveling the country for, you know, he's 55 years old and used to firmly believe in confederation.
00:36:55.580 But after 35 years, I see Confederation as a bit of a broken experiment.
00:37:01.360 But but so when I list my priorities, just getting rid of Trudeau for now is is number one.
00:37:06.360 I mean, I got to stop the hemorrhaging. He's hurting me. He's hurting my province.
00:37:09.600 He's hurting my family. He's hurting thousands of Canadians. So I've just got to stop him.
00:37:13.780 If it's Poilievre, then so be it. If it's, you know, if it's a combination of Poilievre and Bernier, so be it.
00:37:19.800 you know I for me personally I just want Trudeau out then we'll deal with the next problem after
00:37:26.560 that then for me the next problem after that is not gonna lie I'm an Alberta separatist at this
00:37:32.440 point unless unless somebody like I mean the the way to make confederation work is we need somebody
00:37:38.480 who would be really really really good at bringing the country together but but I still think that
00:37:44.520 the basics underneath are so broken you know that that individual who can have all the right
00:37:48.700 intention still needs to get elected and in order to get elected that individual needs to make
00:37:53.520 certain promises to the east so um every single time that's just the way our political system
00:38:00.200 operates yeah the trucker convoy i want your opinion on that and i want everything i mean
00:38:04.960 everybody talks very very glowingly about it i do as well but i think it left us with some
00:38:11.100 problems that we still have ongoing today what are your thoughts yeah i think the the trucker
00:38:18.460 convoy did really good but made a couple of mistakes um one of the mistakes was um well
00:38:24.780 before i talk about the mistakes i mean the trucker convoy still had one thing which was
00:38:28.880 that the government could still demonize the trucker convoy so the trucker convoy while they
00:38:33.420 were on their way there and passing under the bridges and everybody's waving flags it's fantastic
00:38:37.520 they didn't think we weren't thinking about the next step you know and we weren't a we i wasn't
00:38:45.140 even i'm not an organizer of the convoy but um once they arrived in ottawa yeah even as a bystander
00:38:51.560 i could see that you know you're going to be easy to to demonize um but then the trucker convoy had
00:38:59.260 some unsavory characters associated with it and then they made demands and making demands from
00:39:03.920 the government seems to not go well which is why this little movement is different and this
00:39:10.160 movement's already fading but um no but but but i want to do say about the trucker convoy i mean
00:39:15.660 that i i in my conversations in the last few weeks um i met one lady in particular
00:39:22.120 and she represents a very interesting group of people uh new immigrants to canada who came from
00:39:28.860 behind the iron curtain have a whole different view on what's happening and and i met this very
00:39:34.340 intelligent uh lady and we had a great chat and she you know being from east germany and having
00:39:40.500 lived almost two generations of of that control she strongly believes that if we hadn't had that
00:39:47.900 trucker convoy you know six seven months ago we would be in the worst position now and and she
00:39:53.900 thinks that when we look back on history the trucker convoy will be seen as a pretty important
00:39:58.240 moment in canadian history so um but but what was your question on the trucker convoy the question
00:40:05.600 was i mean i was talking to a woman last night from unified grassroots in saskatoon nadine ness
00:40:12.020 is her name she's very very smart wonderful lady yeah she is and she uh she said we need to be
00:40:17.400 reasonable so when we in order to get the government's attention and she has managed
00:40:22.540 her and her organization have managed to get the attention of the saskatchewan government and
00:40:27.180 actually work with the Saskatchewan government to get them, the government, to recognize some of the
00:40:32.800 things that they've done wrong and to stop using hurtful language and expressions like the
00:40:38.500 unvaccinated. And I asked her, Nadine, how did you manage to do that? And her answer was, 0.99
00:40:44.760 we've been reasonable. And reasonable meaning we've been nice to them, right? We haven't yelled,
00:40:51.520 we haven't screamed, we haven't hung them in effigy, we haven't mobbed their homes or anything
00:40:56.480 like that when we look at the trucker convoy and i believe you're right and and the the east german
00:41:02.720 lady or the former east german lady you were speaking with is absolutely right too that is
00:41:07.180 chapter one in a very long book that we're writing right now we needed to see people stand up in this
00:41:13.880 country finally uh they were easy to demonize but now that we've done that we need to maybe pull the
00:41:20.440 throttle back a little bit with your hashtag i mean you humanized people that's what that did
00:41:26.380 you know and that's it absolutely did and like i said it there is no demands it's actually
00:41:32.760 passive there's no demand it's literally an individual looking at its government saying
00:41:37.820 you're hurting me yeah so you know it's very passive it's very uh friendly for lack of a
00:41:45.380 different word and and yeah i i've said that to people i mean you can't use words like overthrow
00:41:51.980 or demand or whatever in fact i i still want to believe in democracy but you know the democracy
00:41:59.960 in our country is um is fragile it's predicated on on make on on an intelligent population so we
00:42:10.000 had you know systems in place i mean we had a government an opposition a fifth estate that
00:42:15.260 helped to hold them accountable and help educate and then we had professionals engineers like
00:42:20.560 myself who who who provided you know input into policies and but as a country we're we're not as
00:42:30.340 educated as we were and the pieces that are supposed to help the democracy are broken so
00:42:35.180 yeah i'm still a believer in democracy and the cornerstone of that democracy is an educated
00:42:39.680 voter and it's the vote it's the individual vote and so with the the people like nadine myself i
00:42:46.340 guess that's what we're going to do now is keep doing this is is just educate people show them
00:42:51.660 the the the evil that's going on show them the good challenge i mean i and you know i i i like
00:42:58.540 to think that i'll challenge uh a conservative as much as in fact i will because hell i was 0.98
00:43:04.440 instrumental in helping in trying to get kenny overthrown because i again i don't give a shit 0.98
00:43:10.380 who you are what party you're at if you're doing wrong you're doing wrong yeah now speaking of 0.94
00:43:15.260 along those lines um of of what nadine said and engaging um for your information i'm i'm lucky i
00:43:23.580 do talk to danielle smith and danielle has reached out to me so um we were talking before the hashtag
00:43:30.740 frequently mostly on energy policy i mean i've had a pretty interesting career on energy but
00:43:37.680 she's reached out to me with those kinds of questions uh which gives me the thing yet or
00:43:41.880 or no i spoil it for me if she has i i think the vote is the the first results are right about now
00:43:48.320 okay i'll look it up meantime continue with your thought please yeah no no so so um well and
00:43:53.260 actually danielle asked me an interesting question because she's she's um she's running against
00:44:00.120 a former conservative in essence you know she she her campaign to is is that she won't be like
00:44:08.560 kenny but she also won't be like notley which puts her in a hard spot because um
00:44:15.060 well it doesn't it doesn't i told her it shouldn't you know what if you if you do the
00:44:20.080 right thing it shouldn't matter um because her concern is that she might uncover some really
00:44:25.020 bad stuff under the kenny administration and then what do you do then do you i mean she she wasn't
00:44:31.200 involved in that administration she could let that information out totally i hope she does yeah yeah
00:44:36.960 so you know the NDP won't let it out because they've been on the same side that's the problem
00:44:42.120 we've been facing in this country for the last two and a half years is that uh this virus or 1.00
00:44:47.240 the response to the the virus the lockdowns the social distancing the stupid mask wearing the 1.00
00:44:52.700 vaccines that's the one thing that's managed to unify all of the political parties in this country 1.00
00:44:57.480 when it comes to voting at least well we have to continue these measures or people are going to die
00:45:01.840 and none of it was ever actually proven scientifically so notley would never release 0.53
00:45:07.700 that information but danielle smith as a newcomer i mean remember she's been out of politics for a 1.00
00:45:12.980 while right yeah she's been out and she's a newcomer and then if she has to uh reign on 0.94
00:45:17.740 her previous predecessors parade so be it right she can she can still distance herself from him 1.00
00:45:22.880 but yeah and that's going to make all of those cabinet ministers that kenny appointed and kick
00:45:27.400 them out to the back benches and put some new people in i i told her something that she she
00:45:31.960 probably knew anyways i'm like you do because she asked you know should there be an inquiry
00:45:36.160 into the last two years i'm like absolutely there needs to be an inquiry there needs to be an
00:45:40.400 inquiry and i'm like if if you're having a hard time selling that concept you sell it as uh you
00:45:45.880 know it's just good due diligence after a major catastrophe or any event you know in engineering
00:45:52.280 we always do a post event debrief so she needs to do that to see what lessons can be learned from
00:45:58.120 COVID but she also has a I think a legal obligation to do it because Alberta like all other provinces
00:46:04.160 enacted a form of an emergency measures act so there has to be an inquiry and if and if in the
00:46:11.000 inquiry something comes out that was sketchy well then that has to be exposed but as a favor to her
00:46:16.820 I kind of asked that question on Twitter and, and people don't have faith in an independent
00:46:23.480 inquiry. And I'm not surprised by that. Not at all. I mean, it needs to be a public inquiry,
00:46:28.220 but even a public inquiry, people don't have a, you know, look at what's going on.
00:46:32.800 I mean, the only, the only place of inquiry that people that we have faith that I have faith in
00:46:37.680 is the courts. And I love what's going on in the courts right now. Like finally, the fact that some
00:46:42.320 of these cases took so long to to to get before a judge but it's a beautiful thing about a court
00:46:48.600 is i can during the evidence disclosure i can ask for evidence that you might wonder what is it
00:46:54.480 related to it's like none of your business i need to know so if i want to know if i want to see every
00:46:58.900 cabinet minute for the last three years they they're coming out that's disclosure well the
00:47:03.600 problem with the courts though marty and like this is you know i personally have lost a lot of faith
00:47:08.100 in pretty much all of the institutions, federally and provincially, in this country, because they've
00:47:12.900 all been acting like barbarians for the past two and a half years. But in the court system,
00:47:16.840 they're using the judicial notice for all of the COVID measures, which means that,
00:47:22.300 you know, according to a judge, the COVID measures implemented by the government are the same as the
00:47:27.900 grass being green and the sky being blue. It's just the way it is. How do you argue your case
00:47:33.600 when a judge has already weighed so much in the other side's favor because that's the crux of all
00:47:40.100 of our arguments is these things were never proven right it is but i i i guess i maybe i
00:47:47.940 maybe to paraphrase maybe you've lost a bit of confidence in the courts and the judges but the
00:47:54.200 lawyers the good lawyers still know how to play the system and at the end of the day what i was
00:47:58.660 saying is some of it is irrelevant like i don't care i don't care what the outcome of of you know
00:48:04.640 if there's an inquiry if there's a court case into the validity of the vaccine mandate i don't care
00:48:11.160 what the outcome whether we lose or win what's important is that it's a tool that we can therefore
00:48:16.840 go and get evidence that we wouldn't get otherwise so that's that's i think that's i put a lot of
00:48:23.120 value in just the courts and as a way to get evidence well that is true i mean what happened
00:48:27.820 in Ontario last month regarding all of the travel mandates that were in place by the federal
00:48:33.260 government were apparently not based on any science at all because of the court documents
00:48:37.840 that came out. So you're right. In that regard, a lot of information comes out and it becomes public.
00:48:43.300 We get to know about it, but it's still frustrating that the governments or the courts don't seem to
00:48:47.840 acknowledge it. Totally. Absolutely. So what happens next? Where do we go next now? What
00:48:53.860 would be the next movement we had the freedom convoy we had your hashtag what what next if
00:49:00.120 anything or is it just the one thing at a time get rid of trudeau and move on from there
00:49:04.380 for me it's one thing at a time i mean you know and then i want to repeat this i'm not the founder
00:49:09.960 of a movement i have no you know like hey dude you want to know what you put a hashtag out there
00:49:14.400 people look to you now is that and you know that because yeah and i was asked that same question
00:49:18.300 would i try and promote another hashtag and the answer is no that which is a actually back to
00:49:23.900 lessons learned from the trucker movement um if if there is a leader a group of leaders that's
00:49:30.480 that's a problem in and of itself so a leaderless movement is a much more powerful movement so i so
00:49:37.020 if i can figure out strategically how to make this movement keep going without a leader then
00:49:42.660 And I'll focus on that.
00:49:45.460 But to be honest, you know, you and I, I think you had reached out and I, you know, the busy week for me was the week of the 13th to the 17th.
00:49:54.580 Well, you went hunting.
00:49:55.640 Then I went hunting.
00:49:56.420 Yeah.
00:49:56.680 So I literally went incommunicado for 10 days.
00:50:01.160 And I told people like, wow, if I'm the de facto leader of a movement, wow, interesting that I would choose to start a movement four days before I disappear from the face of the earth.
00:50:11.120 So Marty, Marty right now is, you know, like my like the tag said, I'm a father for recently empty nester.
00:50:19.840 I mean, my youngest just started university and my wife and I are trying to settle into an empty house.
00:50:27.020 I still work. You know, the state of the economy is such that I have to keep working.
00:50:32.620 So Marty wants to work. Marty wants to go back to how he was in 2013.
00:50:36.160 he wants i think that what's going to happen probably it's going to be a grassroots thing
00:50:40.600 just like the freedom convoy was it just happens right no one person or one group of people is
00:50:45.700 going to stand up and and make it happen it's just going to happen and the same thing with
00:50:49.620 the hashtag too but that's why i'm here tonight that's why i'm here tonight because guys like you
00:50:54.880 you know the the audience is is it's one group at a time and and if we if we get a message across to
00:51:01.500 400 listeners tonight perfect i've been on uh uh chats with nadine where she hosted one i i'm doing
00:51:09.440 a twitter what what are they called on twitter the twitter box or something the rooms or whatever
00:51:14.740 no anyways i'm doing one of those tomorrow night and you know and i'm i'm gonna definitely keep
00:51:20.360 being part of the movement i love that term actually a movement i mean that's that's that's
00:51:26.260 that's okay that's a good term that's a good i agree marty thank you uh for coming on tonight
00:51:31.120 where can we find you on twitter it's it's marty up north's uh underscore two okay and but it's not
00:51:37.800 the twin brother fact checking oh you know let's just go with that real quick i mean anybody who's
00:51:45.100 on social media especially on twitter and let's hope that elon buying it changes a few things but
00:51:49.880 it's very easy to get an account blasted on twitter so i'm marty up north then i had to i
00:51:55.180 got blasted because like i said i was i was i was pushing hard against that covid narrative in
00:52:01.660 alberta and then i went a little too far and i challenged omar alhabra whatever on the um
00:52:08.060 on the uh arrive can app and i literally forgot to put one reference to my data and man oh man
00:52:16.340 it happened instantly so so then i'm marty up north underscore two but google marty up north
00:52:23.160 And to any viewers who are from Ontario or other parts who are ever interested in coming to Alberta and want to see the beautiful Rockies, Marty's passion is the beautiful Rockies.
00:52:33.120 Marty up north on YouTube is the guy.
00:52:36.040 If you're thinking of hiking anywhere, reach out to me.
00:52:38.920 I've answered.
00:52:39.900 I love interacting with people and helping them get into backpacking, especially in the Rockies.
00:52:44.580 So absolutely.
00:52:46.020 Thanks, Marty.
00:52:46.340 Shadow is a pleasure, man.
00:52:47.380 Bring me back anytime.
00:52:48.620 I'd love to have you.
00:52:49.660 Thank you, buddy.
00:52:50.100 All right.
00:52:50.680 Cheers.
00:52:51.040 Bye-bye.
00:52:51.780 Yeah.
00:52:52.080 Marty up north, everybody.
00:52:53.800 He's the one that started the hashtag.
00:52:56.740 Hashtag Trudeau must go.
00:52:59.380 We still have some show left.
00:53:01.060 We still have some things to cover.
00:53:02.440 We still have some things to talk about, guys.
00:53:04.400 So don't go anywhere.
00:53:05.380 I see people leaving the stream.
00:53:07.840 Come back.
00:53:09.100 Where are you going?
00:53:10.360 The night is young.
00:53:11.940 You know what?
00:53:12.480 I'm going to go a little bit long tonight.
00:53:14.880 And the reason I was asking Marty what he sees as the next thing
00:53:19.060 is because i'm interested in so many different perspectives right we've heard from so many
00:53:25.640 people who have been a touch impatient we need to storm the castle the castle being the rcmp
00:53:31.760 headquarters in regina and they're talking violence maybe they're you know and it's funny
00:53:38.900 you know so many words have changed their definitions in the past two and a half years
00:53:44.060 on both sides of the spectrum the word vaccine means something completely different now and the
00:53:48.780 word violence means something completely different now some people would be alarmed if they saw the
00:53:55.120 video of uh of uh elliot mcdavid uh attacking and i want i don't want to use the word attacking
00:54:02.700 because he didn't actually attack her but looming over christia freeland that would be an alarming
00:54:07.420 video for some people and for other people it is freedom and so when we talk about what's reasonable
00:54:15.900 we have to start thinking about what they're thinking about and by them i mean the people
00:54:23.600 in the bubble in the middle and the left-wing people and the government people the best way
00:54:31.580 to defeat your enemy is to think like them without letting it take you over obviously
00:54:37.400 so we have to approach them on their level yeah we'll still maintain you know the ferocity that
00:54:46.760 we've got to fight against all of this overreach but we have to handle it in a different way and
00:54:52.320 like nadine says man this is going to be ringing through my brain for the rest of my life i think
00:54:56.920 we need to be reasonable
00:55:00.240 after it's over and we win this thing and guys this is a big thing i've got a story coming up
00:55:07.620 about a state one of the states down south that just took back their money from blackrock 0.93
00:55:14.800 because of the woke shit as michelle remple garner put it in the house of commons the other day 0.97
00:55:23.140 and look at this even google is taking a stand against bill c11 so the government's got it 0.99
00:55:29.060 coming from both sides they've got it coming from us a lot of people have been writing their senators
00:55:34.200 and writing their mps i guess it's out of the mps hands now but when it was in their hands they were
00:55:39.560 writing they were saying this bill cannot pass it is a censorship bill so look at left-wing google
00:55:47.100 here the censorship kings and queens they are taking a stand against bill c11 so what does
00:55:53.140 Trudeau do now? That he's got people on the left and people on the right who are fighting against
00:55:59.760 the passage of this bill in the Senate, which is where it is right now. Google encouraging
00:56:05.500 Canadians to learn about and oppose the Trudeau government's online streaming act, better known
00:56:10.100 as Bill C-11. Google Canada is warning Canadians that Bill C-11 will change the YouTube user
00:56:17.000 experience. Google published a Twitter thread linking to a blog post as well as a petition
00:56:22.600 made in collaboration with open media pressuring the senate to amend the bill before it's passed
00:56:27.400 even if the senate does amend it the house of commons does not have to take those recommendations
00:56:32.380 uh in to mind they can go ahead and pass it as is but the senate can stop it before it goes through
00:56:42.460 and demand that unless the house of commons make the changes they want that they will stop it
00:56:47.300 before it continues on to receive royal assent so we don't know what's going to happen yet but
00:56:53.560 the trudeau government is facing opposition from this for this on both sides now which is good 0.98
00:57:00.360 news we may not have this stupid bill passed because that could just throttle all of the 0.98
00:57:05.400 independent media in this country you would never be able to find this show or ron clark or for that 0.99
00:57:11.620 matter the western standard or true north or rebel news we would be gone so far down the list
00:57:17.120 we'd still we'd still have to show up in their in their search pages but we could be on page 283
00:57:23.780 you would never find us a story from the globe and mail it was also reported in other media
00:57:29.080 which i found surprising spending on arrive can projected to top 54 million dollars double the
00:57:38.020 amount the trudeau government first divulged and now it's going to be voluntary
00:57:45.680 you know aside from all the scandal and all the embarrassment that trudeau has caused us over
00:57:54.160 these past seven years nobody talks about the the sheer billions of dollars that his government has
00:58:02.980 wasted just completely thrown down the pisser for years now and i was screaming i remember
00:58:11.820 when he first got elected or even before that during the the election campaign i was screaming
00:58:17.200 at people the budget will balance itself if that is what a candidate for prime minister the highest
00:58:24.640 office in the land is going to say you know that it's going to be a disaster and it's been a
00:58:30.140 disaster he promised a deficit in the first year of 30 billion dollars and then it would get smaller
00:58:34.960 and smaller and smaller in his first term it's only gotten bigger and bigger and bigger and don't
00:58:39.160 think for one second that covid had anything to do with that of all the money that was wasted
00:58:45.160 in the last couple of years only about a third of it can be actually attached to the pandemic
00:58:51.340 where did the rest of it go they can't keep track of it it's that bad with this government and it
00:58:58.620 seems like every time a story comes out about government spending it is always something like
00:59:03.780 this total federal spending again with this with this phrase federal spending no this is
00:59:12.580 public spending this is our money they're doing this when public spending on the arrive can app
00:59:20.040 is on pace to reach in excess of 54 million this year more than double what the government
00:59:26.040 recently said has been spent to date and ottawa's approach to related outsourcing is raising
00:59:31.960 transparency concerns. So now they're not even being honest about it. But then again, that's no
00:59:36.360 surprise. They've lowered the bar so much. I was reading about the sponsorship scandal the other
00:59:43.160 day. Remember the sponsorship scandal? That was the whole billion-dollar boondoggle with
00:59:47.820 Chrétien back in the 90s and early 2000s. It's what got Chrétien pretty much drummed out of
00:59:52.660 office or replaced by Paul Martin. And then the liberals fell to the conservatives in 2005 or
00:59:58.340 2006 whenever that was a billion dollar boondoggle where they were taking money and giving it to
01:00:05.400 friends and relatives and not doing what they were supposed to do with it it was a billion dollar
01:00:10.440 boondoggle and that back then that was one of the biggest scandals I could remember at that time in
01:00:16.280 Canadian political history and now what we're seeing makes that look like jaywalking it's
01:00:24.980 astounding you look back to the harper years and you see stephen harper had a couple of scandals
01:00:31.840 but nothing like trudeau has had and yet people keep accepting this guy and it's a shame like
01:00:38.420 marty's saying separation is is going to be on the table i think if trudeau gets elected again
01:00:44.740 in the next election whenever that happens to be it could be 2025 it could be early next year
01:00:51.140 one ever. If Trudeau gets elected again, this country will absolutely fall apart. And I mean
01:00:58.840 that in the literal sense. And it's a shame. And speaking of billions of dollars, look at this one
01:01:06.620 now. Billions of dollars lost in tourism because of the Arrive Can app. So not only has it cost
01:01:13.280 way more than they said it was going to cost, but we've also lost billions because of this stupid 0.96
01:01:19.940 thing the controversy plagued arrive can app caused billions worth of lost revenue this is 0.54
01:01:26.760 from tnc.news for the canadian tourism industry parliamentarians heard yesterday as for sorry
01:01:32.800 tuesday as first reported by the epic times or the epoch whichever you like the mayor of niagara
01:01:38.440 falls jim diodati gave a scathing testimony on the impact that arrive can had on the tourism
01:01:44.360 industry in the house of common standing committee on international trade it's been hugely impactful
01:01:49.200 and devastating, he said. According to Diodati, 20 million visitors come to the Niagara region
01:01:55.060 every year, but due in part to arrive, Kent, tourism has fallen to half, half of pre-pandemic
01:02:01.620 levels, causing billions of dollars in losses. Never mind how the response has devastated
01:02:09.260 small business, medium-sized business. Typically, 50% of the revenue that comes into Niagara Falls
01:02:16.200 comes from U.S. visitors. He said Americans typically stay longer, spend more, so the
01:02:20.380 long-term effect of this requirement at the border has been devastating. Diodati said that
01:02:27.080 most complaints he received about a RiveCant came from seniors who felt they were being
01:02:31.060 discriminated against. And there is the video, that legendary video down here. I think it's down
01:02:37.080 here. Well, I did have it earlier where the woman who was fully vaccinated, which is no longer a
01:02:42.960 thing now it's up to date was not allowed in even though she was fully vaccinated because she didn't
01:02:48.820 have a rive can on her phone and she didn't have her proof of vaccination with her
01:02:53.600 what's the next big thing from rebel news the next big thing people are talking about how are
01:03:01.640 they going to stop us from being free citizens in the future what's the next big thing we talked
01:03:07.300 about this last night a little bit. It was a new strain. It was a new disease altogether,
01:03:13.740 or it was climate change. I know it sounds ridiculous. I know it sounds preposterous, 0.98
01:03:24.280 but remember when just two short years ago, we talked about vaccine passports and we thought, 0.90
01:03:31.640 No, that's ridiculous.
01:03:32.760 It's never going to come on. 0.90
01:03:34.660 We laughed.
01:03:35.880 I remember having the owner of a restaurant in Winnipeg on the show.
01:03:39.240 His name is Silver Heights.
01:03:41.900 Tony Sawicki.
01:03:43.060 He's also the president of the Manitoba Restaurant Association.
01:03:46.460 I said, Tony, because I didn't know exactly how it was going to roll out.
01:03:49.620 And the vaccines had just started coming out.
01:03:51.400 And I said, Tony, would you be interested in having a non-vaccinated section in your restaurant?
01:03:55.520 And he laughed. 0.93
01:03:58.080 And I said, that's not funny, man.
01:03:59.620 I mean, that's that's probably the way it's going to be going. No, I can't see that happening. But you know, if it does, we'll deal with it when it comes. It didn't turn out to be a vaccinated versus non vaccinated section. It turned out to be if you're not vaccinated, you can't come in here. You can't come in, you scum.
01:04:18.760 and you know what he headed up the call to all well not all but several different manitoba 1.00
01:04:27.260 restaurants telling them to go along with the government program to get us out of this faster
01:04:32.440 i wonder what he'd say if you came on the show today 0.73
01:04:36.000 so getting back to the ridiculousness factor that sounded ridiculous a year and a half ago
01:04:44.140 vaccine passports.
01:04:46.980 What about this?
01:04:48.740 A study by Health Canada describes heat stroke
01:04:51.100 as a climate change injury.
01:04:56.320 The federal government receives modest ratings
01:04:58.900 for protecting Canadians' health from climate change,
01:05:01.220 says study by Health Canada.
01:05:02.440 One in ten feel the government's doing a good job,
01:05:05.060 while six in ten give moderate ratings,
01:05:06.920 one quarter gives negative one.
01:05:09.400 So a Health Canada study on Canadians' views
01:05:12.600 of climate change described heat stroke as a climate change industry, sorry, injury, not
01:05:19.320 industry. The polling completed on behalf of the government by Envirix queried 1,520 people,
01:05:27.500 Canadians, at a cost of $119,776.84 over three months earlier this year. More Canadians felt
01:05:37.520 negative about the government's climate change agenda when it came to public health and those
01:05:41.580 who applauded the feds for their efforts.
01:05:45.480 I just want to get to the heat stroke
01:05:47.440 as a climate change injury thing 0.96
01:05:49.080 because that's ridiculous.
01:05:54.600 But this is kind of a sad thing too. 0.83
01:05:56.840 Canadians are increasingly convinced
01:05:58.400 about the phenomenon of climate change,
01:06:00.700 says the study.
01:06:01.440 More than 8 in 10, 85% actually,
01:06:05.880 say climate change is definitely happening
01:06:08.080 and this belief has increased steadily over time
01:06:10.360 from 69% in 2008 and 79% just five years ago.
01:06:15.840 The study also added that 7% of Canadians
01:06:18.500 have sought medical attention
01:06:19.640 because of a climate change event.
01:06:24.660 But the study calls heat illness,
01:06:26.960 a climate change illness,
01:06:28.160 and consulting WebMD for psychosomatic symptoms
01:06:30.880 as climate change preventative efforts.
01:06:34.140 I'm going to have to get Michael Schellenberger on the show.
01:06:37.020 Michael Schellenberger is a guy who was a radical climate activist up until about two or three years ago
01:06:44.740 and then he wrote a book because he was feeling bad about everything he had done he has a young
01:06:49.360 daughter at this time about two or three years ago nine or ten years old and she was petrified
01:06:53.480 one night he saw her hiding under her bed I think it was shivering honey what's the matter what's
01:06:59.980 wrong we're all going to die because the world is going to end and the oceans are rising and
01:07:05.160 and she was petrified and who he knew that he was one of the people who had caused
01:07:10.480 this anxiety this fear in his daughter so he said that's enough
01:07:15.660 and he wrote a book i thought what was it called climate never climate
01:07:20.360 climate catastrophe never i think now he's going to try running for governor of california
01:07:26.120 but ever since the book came out and i thought wow finally like a big name in the climate activism
01:07:32.580 sham is coming out on the other side of things and he's going to be all over the press none of
01:07:38.380 the press interviewed him except on Fox News and I was shocked and that's of course before I
01:07:45.220 understood about the censorship that was going on fully I couldn't believe it wasn't touched by ABC
01:07:52.040 News or CNN none of those outlets I went wow this guy's revealed this is a big story and they didn't
01:07:58.360 want it. So I'm going to see if I can get him on. That might be a big ask, but I'm going to try
01:08:04.240 because I think the climate is the next big thing. Although I don't know how they're going to sell
01:08:08.740 it in Canada. That'll be a tough sell in Canada. Even though, I mean, if you look at that poll,
01:08:14.300 85% of people in this country feel as though climate change is definitely man-made and is
01:08:19.860 definitely happening and is hurting. We might have an uphill battle here. All right, this is an
01:08:28.360 from Fox News regarding how many people have actually been injured by this genetic experiment
01:08:39.300 that they've been pushing on us for the past two years. Watch this.
01:08:42.180 That it was 463 days, you tell us, from the time that you requested this V-safe data. V-safe is a
01:08:49.100 CDC program where you just kind of report how you're doing after you got the vaccine. 463 days
01:08:55.580 TO GET IT, WHY DID IT TAKE SO
01:08:57.820 LONG IN YOUR ESTIMATION, SIR?
01:09:01.860 IT'S A VERY GOOD QUESTION.
01:09:03.700 WHY DID IT TAKE NUMEROUS LEGAL
01:09:05.540 DEMANDS, MULTIPLE APPEALS, TWO
01:09:07.780 LAWSUITS, IN FACT, BEFORE THE CDC
01:09:10.320 FINALLY HANDED OVER THE V-SAFE
01:09:12.220 DATA, WHICH IS ALREADY DEIDENTIFIED
01:09:14.560 DATA FOR THE MOST PART THAT THEY
01:09:15.800 PROVIDED JUST TWO DAYS AGO, 144
01:09:19.660 MILLION LINES OF CODE THAT THEY
01:09:21.380 COULD HAVE PROVIDED IN A MATTER
01:09:22.700 OF MINUTES AT ANY POINT.
01:09:24.180 It's a great question. Maybe the answer is, is that now that we have that data and we've looked at that data of the 10 million users within V-safe, 7.7 percent of them had to seek medical care after vaccination.
01:09:40.780 That is an incredibly high percentage, it appears to me.
01:09:44.100 Yeah, and if I can, sir, I just want to put this graphic up to kind of follow along with you.
01:09:48.580 You're right. 7.7 required medical care.
01:09:51.860 We're talking about emergency rooms, hospitalizations.
01:09:54.160 There it is right there.
01:09:55.340 And on top of that, not to go you one better, but this is your information,
01:09:59.420 another 2.5 million, we're talking 25%, missed work or school or had bad reactions to the vaccine.
01:10:07.140 What's the takeaway for you from this? Is it significant?
01:10:10.120 it is it seems incredibly significant a big reason that they pushed the covid vaccine is
01:10:17.080 they said look not everybody's going to get you know seriously injured by covid but for many it'll
01:10:23.180 prevent them from having symptoms being hospitalized right uh missing work well now that we have the
01:10:30.100 data we could see that getting the vaccine caused 25 percent of people who got the shot within this
01:10:37.120 data set of 10 million people to miss work to have some serious event affecting their normal
01:10:43.340 life functions yeah wow wow that information is out there and yet where is the left-wing
01:10:52.100 corporate media outside of fox news nowhere to be found they are not reporting it and like
01:10:58.820 marty said earlier in the show they would be calling themselves out wouldn't they
01:11:04.540 how could they possibly come on now and say well this is the case
01:11:10.060 when they were the ones who were actively cheerleading for it a year and a half ago
01:11:15.460 whatever credibility they have left which is very very little would be gone
01:11:22.060 but they've done it to themselves they have nobody to blame but themselves now here's a
01:11:30.500 great story and i'm hoping that more states follow suit and then maybe provinces and the
01:11:35.960 only province i can think of that might do this in canada if they have any money invested with
01:11:41.400 black rock or state street at all would be alberta state treasurer withdraws nearly 800
01:11:49.560 million dollars in funds from black rock over leftist esg efforts we know what that is we've
01:11:54.920 covered that on the show before louisiana treasurer john schroeder sent a letter to black
01:11:59.380 rock ceo larry funk explaining that louisiana is withdrawing its funds from black rock the reasoning
01:12:05.360 was black rock support for blatantly anti-fossil fuel policies that would destroy louisiana's
01:12:11.620 economy according to the letter black rock maybe saskatchewan as well now that i think of it black
01:12:18.440 rock has promoted esg standards which includes using publicly traded funds to incentivize the
01:12:23.320 transition from fossil fuels to clean energy alternatives um louisiana informed megabank
01:12:31.240 blackrock wednesday that it will divest from the firm's investment portfolio over its anti-fossil
01:12:36.300 fuel policies your blatantly anti-fossil fuel policies would destroy louisiana's economy this
01:12:42.200 divestment is necessary to protect louisiana from actions and policies that would actively seek to
01:12:47.940 hamstring our fossil fuel sector. In my opinion, your support of ESG investing is inconsistent
01:12:53.960 with the best economic interests and values of Louisiana. He continued, I cannot support an
01:12:59.440 institution that would deny our state the benefit of one of its most robust assets. Louisiana is
01:13:06.300 pulling out $794 million from BlackRock funds. The state's already withdrawn $560 million and the
01:13:13.980 rest to follow shortly so yeah that's good news very good news but on the other hand now this is
01:13:23.800 something i haven't really discussed a lot on the show you guys and the reason for that is i truly
01:13:29.520 much like everybody else i truly don't know what is going on over there i can guess i can speculate
01:13:37.040 but i just i don't know i know there's a conflict between ukraine and russia i know that canada
01:13:45.380 and nato should have kept their noses out of it we had no business in there i know that billions
01:13:50.680 and billions and billions of our dollars have gone into ukraine over the past six months and
01:13:55.740 many millions if not billions of dollars of weaponry we've sent over there as well
01:14:00.800 but other than that
01:14:04.380 I don't know
01:14:07.120 then again
01:14:09.180 Vladimir Putin gave a speech over the weekend
01:14:12.520 that was translated to English
01:14:14.120 I think I put it up on the Facebook page
01:14:17.100 if not I still have it in my inbox
01:14:20.980 and I'll put it up
01:14:21.860 you know pretty much everything he said
01:14:25.020 I agreed with
01:14:26.240 which shocked me
01:14:27.500 because I don't agree with any of what's going on
01:14:30.480 over there right now. Just forget about it. But this is alarming. From zerohedge.com,
01:14:38.920 at a moment, some U.S. officials and pundits are cavalierly talking about already fighting
01:14:45.540 World War III. Polish officials have announced that talks with the Biden administration are
01:14:51.180 underway about the possibility of hosting U.S. nuclear weapons in Poland. President Andrzej
01:14:59.300 Duda indicated that such nuclear sharing as NATO's largest Eastern European member and which is just off Russia's doorstep is now an open topic for discussion.
01:15:09.960 Crucially for the question of continued nuclear saber rattling and confrontation with Russia, if Poland ever did host U.S.-NATO nukes, it would mark a huge first for a NATO member that was once behind the Iron Curtain.
01:15:22.340 yeah sure but that is exactly what putin doesn't want and i believe the whole thing
01:15:29.160 there could there's so many different things i mean like like i said guys it's speculation right
01:15:34.260 there's 23 bioweapon labs in ukraine that are funded by the united states apparently i can't
01:15:40.480 say that for sure i can't say that uh the nato is trying to provoke a war by adding ukraine
01:15:52.040 into the fold because that's something that
01:15:54.340 Putin doesn't want. What Putin
01:15:56.240 doesn't want is any more western aggression
01:15:58.360 coming closer to his borders
01:16:00.060 if the United States decides
01:16:01.980 to share nuclear weapons 0.85
01:16:04.080 with Poland and put them in Poland 0.94
01:16:06.260 you can bet how Putin is going to 1.00
01:16:08.320 respond
01:16:08.780 it will not be positively
01:16:12.000 so that
01:16:15.500 is what could be going on right now
01:16:18.240 and when they talk about World War 3
01:16:20.200 it's interesting that none of us really seem to be standing up and taking it seriously
01:16:26.560 because we're seeing everything these days as such a big sham
01:16:29.820 and people taking sides in this war it's astounding to me
01:16:35.520 it has nothing to do with us we shouldn't be there in the first place we shouldn't be giving
01:16:42.320 billions of dollars we have no stake in this
01:16:47.140 anyway that's it for the show tonight you guys um thank you to martin belanger marty up north
