00:19:50.820There's a lot of transcription involved.
00:19:52.680There's a lot of paying attention to details and a lot of them are dry and repetitive.
00:19:56.440We hear some of the same things over and over and over again.
00:20:00.600And sometimes it seems like we can't get to the point of what's trying to be said.
00:20:03.960And so you'll see that carried out into some of my work outside as I'm going in circles
00:20:08.960trying to figure out what actually happened that was important and trying to communicate
00:20:12.580that back with everyone else and uh yeah no sitting in that courtroom i'm trying to remain
00:20:18.280neutral about it i'm trying to watch this as neutrally as possible from the perspective that
00:20:23.240yes i supported the convoy i exercised my fundamental freedoms and i went and protested
00:20:28.460lawfully and i was down there doing what i believed was right and i know the vast majority
00:20:34.340of people share my circumstances in that way and so when i'm sitting in that courtroom and i'm
00:20:39.020hearing this, what appears so far to be a trial of the Freedom Convoy, rather than the specific
00:20:46.300points of the accused, it's a little frustrating. But I have to always take a step back in my mind
00:20:53.320and remind myself that there's a process to everything. And that, you know, this could be
00:20:58.900the big introduction. They have to get all the background facts out and established before they
00:21:03.780can get to the actual crux of the issue but yeah no it's frustrating it's it's difficult i've never
00:21:09.440really done anything like this before where you have to pay an extreme amount of details and
00:21:14.120there's a lot of uh there's a lot on the line frankly when you're trying to get some very
00:21:18.080important things very right so so it is a uh a high pressure environment and it can be frustrating
00:21:23.780and stressful and aggravating um especially you know when you have a personal perspective on
00:21:28.620things that you think occurred very differently than the things you were hearing but at the end
00:21:32.900of the day I see how people have come to this coverage and like you said yourself even and have
00:21:38.740really appreciated it so at this point I just think I'm in it for the ride you know I have to
00:21:42.640see this through I have to have to keep doing this because if if not me then who's doing this I the
00:21:47.720CBC and all them will focus on the one thing that comes out during the day that they can turn into
00:21:52.600the soundbite well that's not giving you the idea of what actually happened that's not very that
00:21:57.140that's not a public service that's just trying to you know someone said that they were afraid for
00:22:01.860their officers and then they of course don't even mention that Greenspun stood up right after that
00:22:05.720and said no no no no I you know explain it he felt that was trying to lure a comment out more
00:22:10.340or less because it would be disseminated to the public and it's it's a frustrating process for
00:22:15.780sure so let's get back to the convoy and I know there's certain things that you can't really talk
00:22:22.420about while you were there so if if I bring something up uh and you can't talk about it
00:22:27.240the audience will fully understand that for sure or you don't feel like you should talk about that
00:22:31.520but what i want to ask you is you were there you were in the go ahead sorry i have i maintain that
00:22:37.580i protested uh within my fundamental freedoms that i did everything as i should have done
00:22:41.800i don't think at any point i would have crossed any kind of a line um but uh you know it's it's
00:22:47.400like you never know in these days in this day and age you see the things that are happening around
00:22:51.480us uh harold yonker is yonker being uh charged just a few months ago a year and some after the
00:22:57.060fact so we just don't really have a clear idea of what the end game is here and uh so in that way i
00:23:03.240you know i'm i'm a little bit um considerate we have heard disparities between the coverage of
00:23:11.100left-wing corporate media and what really happened down there and i want to get your perspective on
00:23:15.800this because we have heard a lot of different perspectives from some independent media but
00:23:20.940we have yet to talk to you uh jonathan so what were the biggest talking points that the uh corporate
00:23:28.680media put out there as opposed to what you really saw go down sure so a lot of the talking points
00:23:35.300revolved around the constant horns um that's a big one that's the one we're hearing in court
00:23:39.900in fact you know we we had testimony just a few days ago admitting where uh kim ayat admitted you
00:23:45.160know he had no reason to disagree with a statement from somebody else sorry it's a bit distant in my
00:23:49.760mind at this point but he had no reason to disagree that by the time the private injunction
00:23:53.300happened the horns were no longer constant but at another time he said they were constant throughout
00:23:57.060so that's just something we've heard that there was 24 7 around the clock horns no matter what
00:24:02.240and i can tell you from being there mostly at night that there was a lot of times where you
00:24:06.540couldn't hear a horn and that was both before and after the private injunction both before and after
00:24:12.080the city injunction especially afterwards there's next to none um so that's the biggest one is that
00:24:18.580It was quieter than some people would think, like I would walk down the streets, walk down Wellington, walk down the cross streets, and I would not hear constant, constant horns.
00:24:30.860Another one would be the that it was like an aggressive that it was this occupation.
00:24:35.940When you think of occupation, historically, you know, talking about a military use of force to secure an area and put yourself in as the author, as the authority, basically.
00:24:46.660So you usurp the authority, and you come in with military force, and you hold the land. And that's certainly not what happened. We had police officers walking about, people cordial with police officers. As you even heard me talk about earlier in court, we see the videos from Big Red from him himself, where he's saying, you know, go up to the officer on the side of the street and give him a handshake, tell him he's doing a good job.
00:25:09.860I didn't experience any kind of hostility in the air I didn't experience anything like that at all
00:25:15.640when I was at the convoy so those are two really big ones the constant horns and that it was this
00:25:19.200occupation with this this atmosphere of hostility or aggression or whatever I did not experience
00:25:24.960that it was the most jovial thing I've ever seen in Canada and I've been to Canada Day
00:25:29.080being an Ottawa native many many times and I've never seen such a happy or more united spirit
00:25:35.800among people on our canadian streets than i did during that freedom convoy stealing food from the
00:25:41.720homeless was one of the narratives they tried to put out there and filthy dirty streets comment
00:25:47.640i can personally tell you that there were um several uh individuals i talked to who identified
00:25:55.520as as um from the streets that they had been living uh unhoused individuals and they said
00:26:01.420they'd never been treated better you hear that a lot on the alt media but it is really
00:26:04.640the actual truth. You hear it constantly because that's the reality of what it was. People were
00:26:09.260taking care of each other. It didn't matter if you were there to protest or not. If you were hungry,
00:26:13.760they would give you a plate of food, give apples, give hand warmers, everything. And some of these
00:26:19.500people on our streets are very, very neglected by the systems in place. And they're in bad shape.
00:26:25.600I remember there was this one individual who came up to me and my friend as we were walking
00:26:29.540at night down the street and his hands were blistered from frostbite I'm you know it was
00:26:35.660it was not a good scene and you know I asked him if he wanted help no but uh he wanted some apples
00:26:41.420so I gave him an apple and I gave him some bananas I think and I also gave him some hand warmers
00:26:45.700and I saw that individual a couple times later going back to Terry Fox Square to the to the
00:26:51.040square across from Wellington and Metcalf getting whatever so there was lots of these people coming
00:26:56.020who were residents of the city the unhoused population coming down and being treated very
00:27:00.960well and i personally experienced that so i can speak from personal experience on that issue
00:27:05.540and i've seen it as well with other people and how they were treated down there so this this
00:27:10.100motion that the truckers had no food and and needed to go down and raid the the local uh the
00:27:15.780local shelter and steal supplies is just ridiculous insulting and patently untrue
00:27:21.180what about you know there was a video sent to me by uh kev from canada nano silver my sponsor here
00:27:29.900on the show and it was about people actually he was following somebody who was cleaning up
00:27:35.640shoveling the snow to make sure that people didn't slip and fall didn't get caught in the snow the
00:27:40.040older people uh were there crews of cleanup personnel that were going out and making sure
00:27:45.620that the streets were spotless absolutely absolutely let me speak to that personally
00:27:50.420again one of my friends um who is not a big protester type he wasn't even heavily involved
00:27:55.660in the freedom convoy he was there with me a lot he would spend his off days as a tradesman come
00:28:01.640finish a hard day of work and go down there and pick up a shovel and shovel the sidewalks and and
00:28:07.780with his hands sweep off the signs because all of parliament the wall there was full end to end
00:28:13.560with posters and cards and letters of thank you to the truckers and the people saying they're
00:28:18.860suffering please government listen to us hear us we are the people of your country please
00:28:24.340please reconsider what you're doing you are hurting us and he would go and he would spend his his off
00:28:30.040time and clean those signs from end to end and him and other people would go and and shovel
00:28:35.740wellington on the sidewalks because of course the city was not providing those services so the entire
00:28:40.600footprint it was up to them uh you know with a few exceptions on different days and the emergency
00:28:45.640lanes where I assumed they would run a plow through. But the vast majority of that was
00:28:50.140maintained by the people there. And it was maintained very well. Salted, plowed, and the
00:28:55.040garbage too. The garbage system was amazing. There were side-by-sides going up and down and
00:29:00.000collecting. I noticed this as I was walking throughout on the different days, that there
00:29:04.140was these points where people would pool this garbage. It would be different areas. And then
00:29:08.120I would observe that these side-by-sides, these Kubotas, these things would come by and they
00:29:13.320would load them up with the garbage and bring them to wherever they were bringing them to so it was
00:29:17.100very well organized and uh it was a finally it was in the in the sense that everyone seemed to
00:29:22.340participate and take care of it take care of the the property take care of the city take care of
00:29:27.540each other did you see any terrible behavior on behalf of any of the attendees of the convoy
00:29:35.880i saw a situation or two where things were getting um where people were frustrated i didn't see any
00:29:45.000anything ridiculous i saw people who were frustrated um i saw a situation where people
00:29:51.100were frustrated where there was some chanting but i never saw any kind of um of mob mentality i never
00:29:57.160saw any kind of aggression i never saw any kind of violence certainly no violence um and and and
00:30:03.520the chanting would have been, you know, at a, at an area where, um, something was happening and
00:30:10.340they were expressing disapproval of it. It was a democratic process really. And I, and I don't
00:30:15.580think that that's, uh, that crosses any kind of lines, but certainly I didn't see anything that
00:30:19.540was crazy. I didn't see any violence. I didn't see anything like that at all. Aside from Chris
00:30:26.540and Tamara at Harold, who has been on the show by the way, and I thought he was such a nice guy.
00:30:32.720uh people like uh pat king who were some of the other notable road captains out there that didn't
00:30:42.080really get a lot of attention from any media so this is actually a good question because it's
00:30:47.640going to paint a clear picture for you on something when i was down at the freedom convoy i had no
00:30:53.220idea who anyone was i had uh heard of pat king in fact i think i saw him once on a street corner
00:30:59.400didn't really say anything to him, but I saw him and I recognized him. I didn't know very much
00:31:06.000about Chris or Tamara. In fact, I struggled to remember if I knew exactly who they were at the
00:31:11.740time. I wasn't paying particular attention to the press conferences, to the media articles. I was
00:31:16.640just out there exercising my rights and freedoms. And I think that's the case for a tremendous
00:31:21.260amount of people who just went down and participated without any kind of clear
00:31:26.040indications of who's doing what. So as to road captains and things, I can't really speak to that
00:31:31.220because I didn't even know there was road captains. I didn't know what the situation was. I didn't know
00:31:35.520how the logistics were organized. I wasn't certainly, I wasn't a part of them. I actually
00:31:40.580remember me and my friend went down to Coventry one day just to see it because we'd heard about
00:31:44.960it. You know, there was, you know, on the local channels and stuff, people are talking about it
00:31:48.460on social media. Oh, Coventry is this thing. That's about my area of town. So I went down
00:31:52.960and me and my buddy go in and they wouldn't let us in they wouldn't let us in i wasn't able to go
00:31:58.720in they said you know sorry we're not letting anyone in right now so i wasn't able to get in
00:32:02.560at that particular point our buddy chris daisy is uh is here tonight watching the show he's been
00:32:09.720doing a lot of work with you yes tell us all about him okay chris chris daisy and i um i i can't i'm
00:32:17.180not going to speak to his personal experiences but what i will say is that we met shortly after
00:32:20.780the convoy like i talked about earlier when everything was in pieces it's like well the
00:32:26.120government has come in we had this protest it's ended we made some progress there's a lot of
00:32:30.800provinces who have reconsidered their positions but we still have the federal mandates we still
00:32:35.200have all this stuff we're still pretty we're pretty down here we we need we need something
00:32:39.960some momentum we need also hope people have lost hope people look at this and this this some people
00:32:45.960were struggling you know very well the mental health situation in our country was abysmal
00:32:50.180people had given up and people gave up even more after the end of the convoy so we just needed to
00:32:56.620keep going there was this thing in the air we needed to figure it out so we all kind of scraggled
00:33:00.520together and i guess one day at near the war museum uh people found each other i found some
00:33:05.720people there pretty early uh people like manny i don't know if you've ever heard of him he's just a
00:33:10.100very happy-go-lucky kind of guy i have a video of him debating a counter-protester at the canada day
00:33:44.260especially with the the commander of the government the the child in chief justin trudeau
00:33:48.740but uh as far as daisy he he came together as i did with all the people going to parliament hill
00:33:54.480uh having the fringy friday and the unacceptable views saturday with freedom fighters canada
00:33:59.620led by jerome o'sullivan give him give him a follow on facebook by the way freedom train
00:34:03.780excellent excellent guy very funny his account was recently lost it was hacked thank you facebook
00:34:09.640freedom train and so we all met there and then we just started recording the things that we were
00:34:14.920seeing chris has got a natural ability as a videographer to to find the story he's he's not
00:34:20.920afraid and he's very he knows what he's doing he's very calculated and very good at getting
00:34:26.360the story you've seen it himself some of the most viral footage in the last year of our politics
00:34:31.820here in canada has been shot by this guy he's getting in there and he knows what he's doing
00:34:35.440he's really good at it so absolutely Chris Stacey what are your thoughts on the divisions
00:34:42.020within the freedom movement across our country um I'll ask you more specifics on that but in
00:34:50.620general I think that what has happened over time is that people you know they want results
00:34:58.260instantaneously they think that if they get out they do a march or two then all of a sudden
00:35:02.300everything's going to be better. And when that doesn't happen, they get frustrated. There's
00:35:06.340other people with ulterior motives who are personally motivated, who aren't, who want to
00:35:11.560be personally rewarded. There's all kinds of conflicting interests and ideas of how things
00:35:17.300should go. And what happens over time, naturally, there's schisms in everything, right? The longer
00:35:22.480that something exists, you get people who think something should go one way and something should
00:35:26.560go other way. But what I believe is that we all more or less share the same goal, which is to
00:35:33.060have this country run in a responsible way and to be heard. And the best ways to do that is up
00:35:39.640for debate, for sure. And there's a way to debate. There's a way to debate and there's a way to cause
00:35:44.300chaos. In my personal opinion, I think that we've done as a collective movement very well in getting
00:35:51.640the things accomplished that we needed to get accomplished. The mandates are gone. The Freedom
00:35:55.840convoy was enormously successful we had some successful protests after that especially out
00:36:00.700here in the east at niagara falls we had a big thing there last year after the convoy we've had
00:36:07.140several events here in ottawa rolling thunder and people have generally behaved people have
00:36:12.300generally understood what the what the the mission is to to stand up to express ourselves to be heard
00:36:18.800and to get the point across and we're doing a good job of that but the divisions are unfortunate
00:36:23.920because they take away from that objective they they distract and they give ammunition to the
00:36:29.080people who have criticisms uh and who want to see this thing fall apart and who want to continue the
00:36:34.060status quo uh quo mainly the government so um it's not a good thing it's not a good thing but i think
00:36:40.100it's a little overblown too it can be but there are and it's difficult to tell who the ones who
00:36:46.020are in it for their own personal gain are as opposed to the ones who were doing it for the
00:36:49.920right reasons. We see a convoy now moving across the country, another one, although the leaders
00:36:56.420of this convoy don't want to call it that. They're moving from west to east and east to west. I think
00:37:02.640they're going to be meeting in Toronto, if I'm not mistaken. This is the Save the Children convoy.
00:37:08.200Chris Barber has spoken out against this and a couple of other people as well have spoken out
00:37:12.600against this saying, guys, there's something that you just can't recreate. What exactly is your
00:37:18.680objective because a lot of the marches as you know were very successful in different cities
00:37:24.360and towns across the country what are your thoughts on that are you speaking of the one
00:37:28.540million march for kids uh yeah the one million march that happened that was the that was a very
00:37:32.880successful event with enormous uh showings across the country in every city and town
00:37:37.960small towns to big cities all had hundreds to thousands of people in ottawa we had tens of
00:37:44.140thousands it was massive you couldn't see the end of it it spanned seven it's it spanned city blocks
00:37:49.660from end to end it was enormous and it's great that people came out and expressed themselves in
00:37:54.340such a peaceful way with a very clear objective hands off our kids leave the kids alone uh don't
00:38:01.060be teaching this in the schools please let me teach my child these things how i see fit to do so
00:38:06.380and that's that was a clear objective now with some of these other movements it the the waters
00:38:11.540can be a little unclear we've i've saw something posted the other day being circulated by both
00:38:16.980sides uh with one with derision one with you know celebration the mou as it's being called again
00:38:22.640i really thought we kind of learned with mous that i i as far as that says it you know there's
00:38:30.520some things on there what i want to say is i'm not going to be one to speak out against any movement
00:38:37.520people who believe that they're doing the right thing who feel passionately about the things they
00:38:41.980believe in who feel that they have that they need to go somewhere and and and stand up and
00:38:46.760and let it let them be heard then all the power to them um i know that you said chris barbers come
00:38:52.740out and and has a strong opinion against this i've heard that from other people as well people
00:38:56.940who have experience in planning these things and people who have experience in the aftermath of
00:39:03.000these things and i think those people should probably probably be listened to if i was an
00:39:07.640organizer of an event i would care about what those people had to say because they know what
00:39:12.040they're talking about they know how it's going to go so maybe that's worth your time to listen to
00:39:16.700them but as for the objectives of this thing not entirely too clear i have to be honest i'm not
00:39:23.240following it too closely i do know there's some some genuinely good people involved freedom george
00:39:27.780for example a phenomenal individual who's who's got his heart 100 in the right place so i know
00:39:33.300that there are uh definitely some some really genuinely good people involved in that uh that
00:39:38.020event and uh you know people got to do what they feel like they need to do really a lot of uh
00:39:45.140consternation simply because they thought you know this could give trudeau a way out of the
00:39:49.800situation that he's in right now the guy is screwed up relations with the largest democracy in the
00:39:55.120world i mean you know there's other countries clamoring to get involved in this emerging economy
00:39:59.900it's going to be worth hundreds of billions of dollars and we should probably be in on it too
00:40:03.840but trudeau has screwed that up and then of course with the nazi in parliament last week and the
00:40:08.440rumors of cocaine on a plane and and all of that this could possibly because of the left element
00:40:16.380in this country this could possibly give trudeau an out if some of the people involved in this
00:40:23.020convoy. And like you said, I mean, I know that there are some genuinely good-hearted people with
00:40:28.160the right intentions involved in this, but there could be some infiltration, let's just say from
00:40:33.060the other side, that makes them look like they're out for whatever, blood, or they're out to just
00:40:39.680cause problems, and Trudeau could step up again and be the hero to these people. And that was one
00:40:45.240of the concerns that was going around social media. Oh, for sure. And let me preface some
00:40:52.320of the things i just said by saying i only exclusively support peaceful actions and i think
00:40:58.020that that's that's a given i think that's something that we as canadians fundamentally understand that
00:41:03.160when you're protesting you're doing so peacefully like we saw during the million march like we saw
00:41:07.920well the attempt at least at the the billboard chris josh alexander rally on friday there was
00:41:13.680unfortunately some uh some aggression uh not from the people organizing but the people who showed
00:41:18.600up to stop them and take their voice away but i think they still handled that pretty well despite
00:41:22.760nick alexander getting uh suffering some wound there which is not clear there's some people
00:41:27.720talking about that being fake blood i know it wasn't but that that was the rumor that was going
00:41:32.300around he was attacked by an edged weapon uh by a maniac uh who thought that uh having a political
00:41:37.980disagreement justified violence and let let us say that that's absolutely not how canada works
00:41:43.500that's not how canadians are that's not what we are that's not what we're about that's certainly
00:41:47.760not we never saw such thing at the freedom convoy there were counter protesters at the freedom
00:41:52.100convoy none of them were attacked let alone with an edged weapon none of them needed stitches
00:41:57.240from a cut this is the level that the the divisions in this country have risen to this
00:42:02.100level where some people on some political strides feel justified in using an edged weapon against
00:42:07.460people they disagree with that's a dangerous place to be at and our leaders ought to pay
00:42:11.960better attention to the things they're saying and the consequences their words happen happen to have
00:42:16.800I'm speaking of the unions, I'm speaking of the liberal government, I'm speaking of the NDP enabling and empowering these psychos to go out into crowds and attack people. But with that all being said, you know, with this convoy on the way or whatever it is, whatever it may be called, again, I fully support people standing up for the things they believe in.
00:42:35.480And I know a lot of the people in that, at least loosely, and I know they're good people
00:42:40.380and I know they're certainly not intending to do any kind of craziness.
00:42:44.640So what happens, we'll have to wait and see, I guess.
00:42:48.340Have we made progress in the last 18 months?
00:42:50.940Have we, and when I say progress, what I'm talking about is getting people in that soft
00:42:56.360middle to understand that there's something seriously wrong going on right now.
00:55:51.800and she she does not answer the question again like you also pointed out something we see a lot
00:55:56.500from her government and from her herself um important to keep in mind also that uh during
00:56:01.280the convoy during those emergency conferences where they're announcing the emergencies act
00:56:05.240the freezing of the bank accounts she had some very strange um behaviors uh you know she had some
00:56:11.900uh ticks would you call them i don't know but this is something that we've seen from from the
00:56:17.500deputy prime minister before uh this uncomfortable body language and this um so so so but i actually
00:56:23.920am also getting the vibe from that clip that yes there there's there's probably quite a few that
00:56:27.860they're not saying i mean i mean how big is the number considering that veteran was 98 and um
00:56:33.420he would have been rather young during the war um i can't imagine the number is astronomical but
00:56:39.640i'm sure there is at least a couple dozen for sure um of these veterans and it's interesting a lot of
00:56:45.220people bring up that this that individual was cleared by different commissions that he was you
00:56:49.480know three commissions i'm hearing three different investigations found he did not commit war crimes
00:56:53.460or his unit didn't how true that is 80 years is a long time to get to the facts of things as you
00:56:59.280might know um are we infiltrated in canada i think that christia freeland believes that you know her
00:57:06.180family interests in many cases come before the interest of her her role i think so for sure um
00:57:12.500And in those cases, some of those may have ties to different groups like the Azov Battalion, where you may have that kind of ideology permeating.
00:57:39.260To hear someone speak about that, like that, about our government, about Canada, and to, you're listening to that interview, you almost feel violated.
00:57:49.600The way he's talking, he's like penetrating the cabinet.
00:57:53.380It's ridiculous that we can have these extra national organizations trying to exercise unelected power over our institutions, over our governments.
01:01:57.140He is a political scientist, University of Ottawa, research, politics, conflicts, policy, political communication in Ukraine, U.S., Canada, ex-Harvard, U of Toronto.
01:02:07.220And so this is what he wrote on X just a couple of days ago.
01:02:15.660Would our left-wing corporate media in Canada have discovered that we had an actual Nazi in the House of Commons if not for this?
01:02:23.320i'm pleasantly surprised that my academic research-based tweets and interviews about
01:02:30.260the standing ovation by the parliament and prime minister of canada and the ukrainian president to
01:02:34.800the veteran of the ss galicia division skyrocketed to such an impact this was not possible without
01:02:41.360contributions of many others on saturday i quote tweeted as orwellian a tweet to confirm that the
01:02:47.660associated press photo caption referring to the standing ovation for this veteran who fought for
01:02:52.840the 1st Ukrainian Division during World War II, in fact, referred to the SS Galicia Division.
01:02:59.860My other research-based Twitter thread, which contained his photos in this division and his
01:03:05.160memoirs of joining the Vafin SS Division voluntarily, and my peer-reviewed article
01:03:11.000on involvement of this division members in mass killings of Jews, Poles, and Ukrainians,
01:03:15.840became viral with over 6 million views these photos in the ss galicia division were then
01:03:24.000reported by lev galinken in forward which was the first western media publication to report the
01:03:29.920story my interviews and tweets and the photos and the memoirs that i found were then reported by at
01:03:35.680least a few hundred tv radio print and online media in canada and dozens of other countries
01:03:40.880including the Globe and Mail, which was the first Canadian media to report the story Sunday.
01:03:47.060This became the top story in the Canadian politics and the media, and a major story in the media in Poland,
01:03:53.000where they want to extradite this 98-year-old man now, the U.S., the U.K., and many other countries.
01:03:59.120The Speaker of the Canadian Parliament apologized and resigned, even though it wasn't solely his fault.
01:04:03.820Let's be honest. We showed you a picture of him, the 98-year-old Nazi, waiting to meet Zelensky and Trudeau pre-standing ovation at the House of Commons on Friday.
01:04:15.960We showed you that picture last night. Leaders of the opposition, Canadian parties, condemned the debacle.
01:04:20.820Prime Minister of Canada issued an apology. Not really. He apologized on behalf of the House, which means all of Canada.
01:04:26.980This is how democracy works. I hope and still hope that Ukraine would become like Canada in this regard.
01:04:33.820And here are the photos of the Nazi we gave a standing ovation to when he was a young man in the SS Waffen division, first Ukrainian division of the Nazi troops.
01:07:06.960And that's premiers, not a prime minister.
01:07:09.920A prime minister, at least to my knowledge, has never used the notwithstanding clause.
01:07:15.800Scott Moe will use the notwithstanding clause and pass legislation this fall to ensure the province's school pronoun policy remains in place.
01:07:25.240He made this comment shortly after a judge granted an injunction to pause the policy,
01:07:30.260which requires parental consent when children under 16 want to go by different names or pronouns at school.
01:07:35.080lawyers for you are pride sought the injunction arguing the policy could cause teachers to
01:07:40.340out or misgender children violating the charter of rights and freedoms i don't see how that
01:07:48.460violates the charter of rights and freedoms and as it has yet to be explained to me how it does
01:07:56.680an outstanding canadian in my opinion and i probably should get him on the show at some
01:08:03.440point very soon talk about his book and what he put out on twitter which is the canadian citizens
01:08:10.440declaration of non-confidence here it is we the citizens of canada united under the banner of
01:08:18.300democracy justice and the true north strong and free call for urgent and meaningful reform from
01:08:24.420the existing government we decry the government's failures and demand immediate redress in the form
01:08:30.980of a petition to be read aloud in the House of Commons. Let me just scroll down here. Preamble.
01:08:37.180In acknowledgement of the undeniable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for
01:08:41.640all individuals, and recognizing that governments exist to protect these rights, we come to this
01:08:47.400reluctant but essential call for reform. Causes for declaration. We present these grievances
01:08:53.760against the existing government as evidence of their negligence, corruption, and betrayal of
01:08:59.100the democratic principles that have long been the cornerstone of our great nation. Number one,
01:09:05.100ethical missteps. A history of scandals, ethical violations, and lack of transparency, including,
01:09:11.120but not limited to, the Aga Khan scandal. The SNC-Lavalin affair and the WE Charity scandal
01:09:16.940demonstrate a disregard for the rule of law and the ethical standards to which all public servants
01:09:22.120must adhere. Number two, abuse of power. Accusations of political interference in critical national
01:09:28.940institutions like the RCMP erode the essential separation of powers and put at risk the
01:09:34.980independent functioning of our democratic system. Number three, foreign policy failures.
01:09:41.000Diplomatic shortcomings, notably in relations with countries like India, Russia, and China,
01:09:45.640have caused embarrassment and risk to national interests, making us question the competence and
01:09:51.040judgment of the current leadership. Number four, misallocation of resources, financial and military
01:09:57.640assistance provided in international conflicts while failing to address pressing domestic concerns
01:10:03.360raises questions on the government's priorities. Number five, erosion of trust. The loss of key
01:10:09.700members of the cabinet signifies a lack of unity, focus, and shared vision within the government,
01:10:14.960eroding public trust in its ability to govern. Number six, threat to national security. Ignoring
01:10:21.540warnings from our own security agencies about foreign interference threatens the very core
01:10:26.560of our national sovereignty. Number seven, suppression of the Charter Rights and Freedoms.
01:10:33.220The current government has taken alarming steps to infringe upon the Charter of Rights and Freedoms
01:10:38.800of Canadian citizens. Specifically, we highlight the deliberate vilification of citizens who are
01:10:44.520exercising their right to freely assemble and express their dissent. Despite the fundamental
01:10:50.260role of peaceful protest in a democratic society, citizens have faced arrests, legal sanctions,
01:10:56.560and even the unprecedented freezing of financial assets by the federal government.
01:11:02.320These actions have a chilling effect on free speech and the right to protest,
01:11:06.520representing an overreach of government power that threatens the very foundations of our democracy.
01:11:12.280And I do not believe he overstated that.
01:11:15.220Number eight, egregious assault on bodily autonomy and the trampling of informed consent.
01:11:20.160The current government has inflicted an unconscionable violation upon the sanctity of individual bodily autonomy, acting with brazen contempt for the universal medical ethic of informed consent.
01:11:33.740Through heavy-handed and oppressive measures, they have stripped Canadian citizens of the right to make personal health decisions.
01:11:40.300The coercion to take the COVID-19 vaccine is not simply undue pressure.
01:11:45.040It is a tyrannical act that borders on medical fascism.
01:11:50.160This coercive regime uses employment termination, social ostracization, and exclusion from fundamental societal services as tools of compulsion amounting to nothing less than a flagrant infringement upon our most basic human rights.
01:12:11.940this despotic conduct sets an appalling precedent and displays an abject failure in governance
01:12:18.760demanding immediate rectification our resolution in light of the grave transgressions and ethical
01:12:25.780shortcomings exhibited by the current government we the sovereign citizens of canada formerly issue
01:12:32.120a censure against the prime minister his cabinet and the entire liberal government of canada we
01:12:38.900declare this as an unequivocal expression of our deep-rooted commitment to the fundamental
01:12:44.940principles of democracy, justice, and liberty that constitute the very foundation of our
01:12:50.860beloved nation. To this end, we articulate the following minimum imperatives as terms for
01:12:56.600restoring integrity, transparency, and competence in governments. Number one, trigger for elections.
01:13:03.840Should the ruling minority government form a coalition that effectively grants it the
01:13:08.060unchecked powers of a majority government, this act will compel the initiation of an election
01:13:13.580within 60 days. Such circumvention of the electorate's intent to elect a minority
01:13:18.740government must not be tolerated. Number two, empowering the electorate. In cases where the
01:13:24.780official opposition lacks the authority to initiate a vote of no confidence, the power to do so must
01:13:31.880rest unequivocally with the electorate through a national referendum. Number three, accountability
01:13:38.560of members of parliament. Immediate enactment of recall legislation shall be instituted,
01:13:44.400allowing the constituency associations to hold their representatives accountable for any failure
01:13:49.900to meet the standards of conduct and performance. Number four, preservation of individual mandate.
01:13:56.060abolish the practice of whipping votes and restore the primacy of individual members of parliament
01:14:02.240to represent their constituents above party lines party leaders must earn not command the loyalty
01:14:10.260of their members number five transparency in foreign aid and military spending any proposal
01:14:17.980involving foreign aid expenditures over five million dollars must be subject to open debate
01:14:23.920within both the House of Commons and the Senate for decisions involving funding a foreign war,
01:14:29.560the electorate shall have the final say through a national referendum.
01:14:34.520Number six, multi-provincial representation. Limit the voting rights of federal parties
01:14:42.740that fail to secure representation in the House of Commons in at least three provinces,
01:14:48.260thereby ensuring a more comprehensive reflection of national sentiment in federal decision-making.
01:14:53.320I really like that one. In reasserting these principles, we resolve to tirelessly exercise
01:14:58.860our democratic rights, be it through voting, peaceful assembly or free expression until a
01:15:04.400government that is truly of the people, by the people and for the people is reestablished in
01:15:09.440Canada. Consequently, we appeal to the conscience of our fellow Canadians and the international
01:15:15.240community at large to acknowledge the gravity and legitimacy of our cause. We extend an open
01:15:21.700invitation for scrutiny endorsement and support as we reclaim our government and our future thus
01:15:27.960we stand united invoking the indomitable spirit of the true north strong and free and hereby
01:15:34.460solemnize this declaration through our collective voice this day for ourselves and for posterity
01:15:40.460do you want to see this sent as a petition to the house of commons
