00:01:04.800 On the Red Apple Podcast Network.

00:01:07.880 Welcome back.

00:01:09.140 You are back in the Stone Zone.

00:01:11.360 Joining me now is Callie Means.

00:01:13.640 He is the co-author with his sister, Dr. Casey Means,

00:01:17.560 who was announced today by President Donald Trump as the next Surgeon General of the United States of a terrific book.

00:01:25.020 It is called Good Energy, The Surprising Connection Between Metabolism and Limitless Health.

00:01:30.820 I want to be honest with you, this book literally changed my life.

00:01:34.020 Almost two years ago, Trump campaign manager, now White House chief of staff, Susie Wiles gave me this book, and I read it with enthusiasm.

00:01:43.820 It changed the way I eat and the way I live.

00:01:47.500 It's had a profound effect on me.

00:01:49.800 And then I got to know Callie Means, who I think was absolutely one of the key figures in building this grand coalition to bring voters who were previously Democrats and independents,

00:02:03.660 people for whom health freedom was a priority, into the Trump coalition to win a smashing comeback victory.

00:02:12.160 So, Callie Means, welcome into the Stone Zone.

00:02:16.360 Hey, Roger.

00:02:17.500 You've been a hero of the Maha agenda since day one, and it's great to be on.

00:02:21.820 So, I'm looking across the Internet here, and I see a lot of what I think is very suspicious criticism of Dr. Casey Means.

00:02:32.620 So, I want to take this in two parts.

00:02:34.560 First of all, let's talk about her academic credentials and her qualifications for this job, because one does not have to be a surgical resident and performing surgeries to be the surgeon general.

00:02:49.780 Yeah, Roger.

00:02:50.820 I mean, you know, just backing up, right?

00:02:52.620 Casey, you know, is my sister, but she has been just – her life's mission for the past year and a half has been to communicate these Maha ideas through a conservative lens of how we can transform institutions and help President Trump get elected.

00:03:07.720 You know, she was integral in getting Bobby connected to him and going on Joe Rogan, Tucker Carlson, actually the most listened to podcast last year, Tucker Carlson, where she talked about the really civilizational imperative of getting Trump elected to take on these special interests.

00:03:20.580 Casey's story, the book, Good Energy, which, you know, has sold over a million copies, talks about her journey.

00:03:27.660 And Casey has been successful her entire career.

00:03:30.600 She was president of her Stanford undergrad class.

00:03:35.120 She was top of her Stanford med school class, and she was top of her surgical residency program.

00:03:39.600 But Casey has incredible moral courage, and she shocked our family when she came to us, and she said after more than a decade of medical training, she's leaving the system because people aren't getting healthier.

00:03:50.720 She had no plan.

00:03:52.040 She did that over pure just insight over it's not working.

00:03:56.620 And what she did is she started a company, and she started advocating.

00:04:00.100 And the impact that she has had on American patients, and, Roger, I appreciate your testimony on that, she has impacted millions of people through empowering them to take matters into their own hands, to not listen to their doctor right away when they write that prescription pad out.

00:04:15.380 And she left the medical system.

00:04:18.060 That is the epitome of her story.

00:04:20.380 So when Bobby Kennedy announced her, he said that the fact that Casey has left the medical system – she is a doctor.

00:04:27.820 She's a graduate of Stanford med school.

00:04:29.360 But the fact that she walked away, unlike so many other doctors who stay in that system, that's why she's Surgeon General.

00:04:36.200 That's why she's the nominee. 0.54

00:04:37.800 It's not in spite of that.

00:04:39.100 It is because she left the system.

00:04:40.740 And I think what's happening, Roger, here is there's been tremendous outpouring of support, of course, from Joe Rogan and Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump Jr. and Charlie Kirk.

00:04:50.660 I mean, Casey's really mobilized an incredible MAGA, MAHA army, and there was incredible support.

00:04:56.360 But I heard today, Roger, and I'll tell you this right now, I just got a call, an insider tip.

00:05:00.500 But the pharmaceutical industry and special interests, with President Trump talking about pharma pricing and with Bobby Kennedy taking action, decisive action, they've declared Casey enemy number one.

00:05:12.940 And you're seeing a lot of interesting things pop up.

00:05:15.860 You know, she's both been called an unqualified hippie, and she's also been called a deep state plant. 1.00

00:05:22.660 So they're throwing the kitchen sink at her, which is not surprising but pretty interesting.

00:05:26.880 This shrimp and coconut sauce is divine.

00:05:29.340 What's your secret?

00:05:30.000 Goya coconut milk.

00:05:31.460 How does it taste so good?

00:05:32.840 It's all in that real coconut flavor and that rich, creamy texture.

00:05:36.940 What about thickeners and added sugars?

00:05:39.140 None.

00:05:39.800 Just smooth, coconutty goodness.

00:05:42.200 What can I make with it?

00:05:43.340 From curries to sweet treats like coconut flan, the possibilities are endless.

00:05:48.680 Goya coconut milk.

00:05:49.920 Take your cooking to the next level.

00:05:51.520 No question about it.

00:05:52.620 Find it in the Goya section of your local grocery store.

00:05:54.940 If it's Goya, it has to be good.

00:05:56.680 It's week two of Canadian Tire's early Black Friday sale.

00:05:59.280 These prices won't go lower this year.

00:06:01.160 So you're lying on the floor?

00:06:02.240 Save up to 50% November 13th to 20th.

00:06:04.440 Conditions apply.

00:06:04.940 Details online.

00:06:05.380 Yeah, I smell the exact same thing.

00:06:08.720 We saw this before, by the way.

00:06:10.200 Remember, just a few weeks ago, we interviewed you here in the Stone Zone, and you had all

00:06:15.200 of these so-called influencers who were pushing for the SNAP program.

00:06:21.300 That's basically the food stamp program, to be able to spend money on soda.

00:06:26.760 That was all paid for.

00:06:28.200 That was orchestrated by a public relations firm offering these so-called influencers up

00:06:33.580 to $1,000 per post to oppose reform in that program.

00:06:38.180 I see the exact same thing happen here.

00:06:41.300 I see paid influencers from Big Pharma and Big Ag throwing money around to certain conservative

00:06:50.220 influencers to throw dirt on Dr. Casey Means.

00:06:53.980 It is outrageous.

00:06:55.280 And for those who say, well, she wasn't for Trump in 2016, exactly, which is why she was

00:07:00.660 an important bridge, as were you, to people who worked for Trump in 2016, who supported

00:07:06.560 Robert Kennedy and his agenda early, and then helped form this grand coalition to make

00:07:13.220 both make America great again and make America healthy again.

00:07:16.940 This is the greatest single realignment in American politics since the 1960s, and I think

00:07:23.680 it will be a permanent one.

00:07:25.420 So, as you look online and you see the aspersions being tossed her way, recognize that a lot of

00:07:34.680 that is paid for.

00:07:36.580 And for those who don't understand, politics is about addition.

00:07:41.320 Politics is about expansion of your voter pool, not contraction.

00:07:46.640 Let's get into some of these issues here.

00:07:50.180 What would be the principal difference between your sister and, say, the Biden Surgeon General?

00:07:59.540 The Biden Surgeon General wrote a report for the Biden administration's priorities on health

00:08:04.340 care.

00:08:05.060 That report did not contain the word diabetes.

00:08:08.160 It did not contain the word obesity.

00:08:10.040 It did not contain the word heart disease.

00:08:11.780 It did not contain the word chronic disease.

00:08:14.260 The report mentioned the word vaccine 47 times and the word equity 41 times.

00:08:20.600 The Biden administration's Surgeon General said that the greatest threat to American health

00:08:24.380 is misinformation, not diabetes or childhood obesity.

00:08:28.000 The Biden administration was completely asleep at the wheel on the chronic disease crisis

00:08:32.200 that makes up 90 percent of health care costs and nine out of 10 American deaths.

00:08:36.980 What the industry and what the forces that want the same thing that we have today, which

00:08:43.160 is higher costs and lower life expectancy than any other developed country, they see Casey,

00:08:48.640 they see Bobby Kennedy as an existential threat because, Roger, this message is just common

00:08:55.900 sense.

00:08:56.700 The reason President Trump is going to realign American politics is because the left has given

00:09:03.000 up on protecting kids.

00:09:04.060 They've given up on common sense.

00:09:05.280 They became the party of the experts during COVID, right?

00:09:08.440 And they dropped the ball on talking about the chronic disease crisis.

00:09:11.700 The reason you had a lot of women be first-time Trump voters, a lot of young people, a lot 1.00

00:09:17.020 of independents, is because President Trump's talking about common sense and he cannot be

00:09:22.860 bought.

00:09:23.740 It is extraordinary, Roger.

00:09:25.780 I'm at the White House right now.

00:09:27.540 I'm looking at the West Wing.

00:09:29.980 And President Trump is in that building and he is telling Bobby Kennedy, he is telling

00:09:34.520 Pete Headset, he is telling Tulsi Gabbard, he is telling these people, I've got your

00:09:38.780 back, drive transformational change.

00:09:42.140 Now, Casey, along with Bobby Kennedy, is the greatest communicator for these common sense

00:09:46.680 agenda items that exist in this world.

00:09:49.860 And Casey is going to do something extraordinary for President Trump beyond just policy.

00:09:54.620 She's going to make the moral case for how we need to transition our institutions to empower

00:10:00.780 disease reversal.

00:10:02.300 That is an existential threat.

00:10:04.500 And you're absolutely right, Roger.

00:10:06.320 It's very easy to see.

00:10:08.540 They're literally using a quote that she said from a Joe Rogan interview about us not supporting

00:10:13.920 President Trump.

00:10:14.680 We went on Joe Rogan and we prayed before that episode that we want to inspire undecided voters

00:10:20.700 to support President Trump.

00:10:21.840 So we strategically went in there and said that we were brought along from a process in

00:10:28.060 2016, from not supporting Trump to believing his election was the most important in our

00:10:32.320 lifetime.

00:10:33.140 We strategically said that because we wanted to give license and talk to Maha moms to get 1.00

00:10:39.300 them to vote for President Trump.

00:10:40.700 I think Casey led a great effort with Bobby Kennedy to talk to millions and millions of moms who

00:10:47.020 eventually became first-time Trump voters.

00:10:49.060 They're trying to use that as an attack against her. 0.98

00:10:51.360 Now, they're throwing the kitchen sink.

00:10:52.680 It's unbelievable.

00:10:53.220 But I do believe, Roger, that as power is being executed, as President Trump is giving

00:10:59.540 green light to reform our institutions, you have forces that are going to be paying social

00:11:05.260 media influencers, paying the media, doing every dirty trick in the book to not just malign

00:11:10.880 Casey.

00:11:11.200 They're going to come after Bobby much harder.

00:11:13.360 They're going to be coming after the president.

00:11:15.260 They're going to be coming after everyone because we are trying to reform institutions here

00:11:19.460 to create better outcomes for the American people.

00:11:22.820 Right now, the HHS is the largest department in government.

00:11:25.500 It's the biggest line item on the federal budget.

00:11:27.700 And we're getting sicker of the results.

00:11:29.320 We have to change this.

00:11:31.280 Yeah, I was very encouraged.

00:11:32.460 I think it was the day before yesterday when I saw that Robert Kennedy was leading a policy

00:11:38.440 to do away with a number of dyes and additives that are already illegal to be added to foods

00:11:44.900 in Europe, but still very prevalent in our food system, particularly in breakfast foods,

00:11:49.220 for example, cereals.

00:11:50.520 You would think that we would be more enlightened than Europeans, but no, big ag, big food, big pharma

00:11:59.440 has gotten away with murder, and now they're going to be held accountable.

00:12:04.720 Just the fact that you have a team here ready to deal with the question of chronic childhood

00:12:09.660 disease, I think is one of the most important goals of the Trump administration.

00:12:15.480 And Robert Kennedy and Dr. Casey Means are exactly the right people.

00:12:21.320 As far as the politics of this, I studied the polling, because this is what I do for

00:12:26.300 50 years in American politics in the vineyard.

00:12:28.500 I studied the polling in these swing states, and it was the late-breaking votes who had previously

00:12:35.100 been inclined to vote for Robert Kennedy, particularly women, going for the Trump ticket that allowed

00:12:42.740 us to win this smashing victory.

00:12:44.660 So for those who are looking for purity, oh, you weren't with us in 2016, politics is

00:12:50.020 about addition, as I said earlier.

00:12:53.400 What would you say is the single biggest problem with the pharmaceutical industry today, and

00:12:58.420 how will your sister help tackle that?

00:13:02.540 So what Casey talks about and I talk about, and this is how I think the administration is

00:13:07.880 seeing it from what I'm seeing, Roger, is that the problem isn't with the drug itself.

00:13:13.860 Like, the problem that Ozempic, this new weight loss drug, exists, that's not a problem.

00:13:19.060 We support American innovation.

00:13:21.120 The problem is that the drug is then recommended by the government, by our medical authorities,

00:13:26.440 which are captured as the first-line defense.

00:13:29.280 So, Roger, I'm shocked, putting together this report for President Trump on the chronic disease

00:13:33.420 crisis, do you know that SSRI prescriptions, antidepressants, they've gone up 600% since

00:13:40.180 2020 among teenage girls.

00:13:42.780 Adderall prescriptions, which are stimulants, which are one molecule away from crystal meth,

00:13:47.240 have gone up 300% among high schoolers in the past seven years.

00:13:51.560 We are over-medicating our children because that's what our medical authorities recommend.

00:13:57.260 They're now recommending Ozempic, a weight loss shot that you have to take for your entire

00:14:01.040 life to 12-year-olds who are obese.

00:14:04.600 So, Ozempic is great.

00:14:06.180 We should have American innovation, but we shouldn't be recommending those things as a

00:14:10.080 first-line defense based on our corporate-captured HHS.

00:14:12.960 And we shouldn't be paying 10 times more for these drugs than they do in Germany and Europe.

00:14:19.840 Roger, Eli Lilly, an American company who makes these GOP-1 weight loss drugs, an American

00:14:25.160 company, charges patients in Germany and Sweden five to ten times less for the same drug.

00:14:33.060 That's un-American. 0.81

00:14:34.320 It's unpatriotic.

00:14:35.140 President Trump, you know, has talked about this.

00:14:37.560 He's not happy about it.

00:14:39.120 But, you know, we want mass deregulation at the FDA.

00:14:42.180 We want therapeutic innovation.

00:14:44.820 But these companies need to be incentivized to create products that promote life, that

00:14:49.920 extend life, that reverse disease, not just get on this treadmill where we're giving kids

00:14:54.480 antidepressants, Adderall, Ozempic, and a bunch of other drugs their entire life.

00:14:58.800 This system we have right now is corporate capture.

00:15:01.820 And it's going to be, you know, years to change.

00:15:04.600 But what Bobby Kennedy and President Trump are going to do, and Casey, you know, when she's

00:15:09.440 confirmed, is going to communicate better than anyone in the country.

00:15:12.180 is we need to get common sense quick wins, one after the next, to start bending the system

00:15:18.580 in a different direction.

00:15:20.460 Yeah, we've already seen that.

00:15:22.480 Robert Kennedy has hit the ground running.

00:15:24.780 His announcement yesterday that he was going to get back, going to get to the bottom of

00:15:30.160 this geoengineering, what some people call chemtrails.

00:15:34.560 Used to call us nuts, crazy, when we talked about this.

00:15:37.840 But I'm sorry, there are toxins that are being sprayed into the air.

00:15:41.500 We need to get to the bottom of who is doing it and why.

00:15:44.760 I admire his courage.

00:15:47.440 And I think that Dr. Casey Means is going to be a great addition.

00:15:52.660 I want to talk about your book for one second, because it really did change my life.

00:15:56.780 Your book, Good Energy, The Surprising Connection Between Metabolism and Limitless Health.

00:16:01.620 Folks, if you haven't read this book, I strongly recommend it to you.

00:16:05.520 As I say, it was given to me before I had ever heard of Callie or Casey Means.

00:16:09.600 It was given to me by Susie Wiles, who told me she swore by it.

00:16:13.100 It really has changed the way that I eat and the way I live.

00:16:16.240 Tell us what the most important thing in the book is.

00:16:18.480 Something Casey is going to talk about, and I think even more than any policy Bobby Kennedy and Casey and the team at the HHS is going to talk to Americans about, is that it's simple, Roger.

00:16:31.040 Right now, there are billions of dollars spent on nutrition research, huge bureaucracies on nutrition.

00:16:37.340 We just need to eat more whole food made by American farmers.

00:16:41.140 Right now, a child eats 70 percent of their diet, ultra-processed food.

00:16:44.260 If they can just put 80 percent whole food on their plate, whether they're a vegan or a carnivore, just stick to whole food.

00:16:51.820 If schools, you know, the school lunches the federal government pays for gets more to whole food made by American farmers, that's a huge win.

00:16:59.060 We're more sedentary, Roger, than every other country.

00:17:01.640 You're going to see President Trump and Bobby Kennedy reinvigorate the Presidential Fitness Commission.

00:17:05.900 We're going to get kids moving again.

00:17:08.020 Kids spend less than an hour outside.

00:17:11.040 I mean, these are basic things that our institutions are letting people down, and, you know, we're going to have common sense.

00:17:19.000 The greatest threat to pharma right now and the greatest way to compel that institution to create products that actually promote life is to get kids healthy, is to have them eating whole food made by American farmers.

00:17:31.640 So Casey's not going to be putting out all these press releases, you know, with complications.

00:17:36.960 She's going to be steering Americans to the fact that health is simple, and it's our patriotic duty to have healthy kids, to serve them good food.

00:17:45.740 And that's going to transform the country.

00:17:47.620 Right now, 77 percent of military-aged youth aren't eligible to join the military because of mental health issues or chronic disease issues.

00:17:54.640 She's going to drive that number down. 1.00

00:17:56.440 And a lot of this is communication and just rallying the country to this cause, which is happening.

00:18:02.900 You see this right now with Bobby Kennedy.

00:18:04.760 So that's what history is going to look back on the Trump administration on.

00:18:08.640 In 50 years, we're going to look at chronic disease rates.

00:18:11.220 They're going to be at an all-time high this year.

00:18:13.340 I mean this, Roger, because I think they're already, you know, you're seeing them start to come down.

00:18:17.580 This will be the highest year we've ever had in history of chronic disease.

00:18:21.180 It's going to start going down, and that's going to be because of President Trump.

00:18:24.040 All right, we have to leave it there.

00:18:26.040 I want to thank my guest, Callie Means, for joining us today in the Stone Zone.
