00:02:56.880 President Donald Trump broke precedent last night, hosting the first ever Republican midterm convention in Dallas, Texas.

00:03:04.240 The convention continued for its second and final day today during his electric speech, which I thought was excellent, by the way.

00:03:13.580 The president outlined several key policy issues heading into the crucial 2026 midterms.

00:03:20.020 See, this is the beauty of Trump's brilliant idea to host a midterm conjecture.

00:03:25.020 For the first time, Trump has ensured that the opposition, that being the Democrats, in 2026, are not able to control the scope of topics considered by voters as they head to the ballot box.

00:03:36.960 Through his midterm convention, Trump has created a platform for himself to challenge the lunacy of the Democratic socialists across America, who normally, in a midterm election following a contested print election, would have sole control over the narrative.

00:03:53.440 Those in the mainstream media were quick to try to attack Trump's event, publishing false events about empty seats or a missing vibe, but I have been in touch with many friends who are there.

00:04:42.600 Small government, strong national defense, peace through strength, low taxation, and so on.

00:04:53.640 And I begged my parents to let me drive all the way across the country from Connecticut to San Francisco

00:05:12.040 William Middendorf was the Republican National Committee man for Connecticut.

00:05:23.400 and cheering my then hero, Barry Goldwater.

00:05:27.020 Since then, I have attended every Republican national convention, 1968.

00:05:30.960 The convention in Miami Beach, where I was a gopher for John Mitchell, later Attorney General, then Richard Nixon's campaign manager.

00:05:40.060 The 1972 convention, which was originally supposed to be in San Diego, but then because they figured out at the last minute San Diego really didn't have enough hotel rooms, they switched back to Miami Beach yet again.

00:05:52.320 Of course, 1976, the first contested convention in my memory, a very close-fought contest in which I was on the staff of Governor Ronald Reagan, challenging Gerald Ford for the nomination.

00:06:07.800 It was a very tight-fought and very close contest. Ford used the incumbency, of course, to get re-nominated.

00:06:15.960 But it was interesting. At the end of that convention, you may remember, Gerald Ford coaxed Governor Reagan and Nancy Reagan down from their seats to come to the stage, a sign of party unity.

00:06:30.520 Reagan initially declined, but ultimately went to the stage and gave an impassioned plea.

00:06:36.400 You could see a light bulb go over the collective heads of the delegates where they realized they had nominated the wrong man.

00:06:43.340 I actually believe Governor Ronald Reagan would have beat Jimmy Carter.

00:06:46.960 They were both outsiders.

00:06:48.820 The party was still reeling from Watergate.

00:06:51.540 In the end, it's interesting, Gerald Ford came extraordinarily close to winning that election.

00:06:57.420 If his liberal Republican advisers had put the late resources they had into Texas and Missouri instead of trying to win New York and Pennsylvania, I think Ford actually may have won.

00:07:09.440 He was only narrowly defeated, and that was based on a strategic error.

00:07:15.000 Of course, the 1980 convention, when Reagan triumphed, many people thought after 1976, Reagan was done.

00:07:22.340 I went to work for Ronald Reagan early, 1979, handling New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

00:07:31.920 The Bush forces, the established Republican forces, really thought that the delegates in those states belonged to them.

00:07:39.220 But they were wrong. We not only won the delegates in all the delegates in New York and all the delegates in New Jersey, but Connecticut, where George H.W. Bush's father, Prescott Bush, had been the U.S. senator, was fought to a veritable standstill.

00:07:56.060 We split the 35 delegates down the middle. I think they got one more delegate than we did.

00:08:00.940 We carried three congressional districts, including the Fairfield County District, where Greenwich, the hometown of the Bushes, was.

00:08:10.960 Watching the convention today, I saw an incredible ovation when President Trump recognized that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was in the House.

00:08:26.700 And I said, when you were younger, did you ever think that you would be addressing a Republican national convention?

00:08:33.080 And he responded, nope, extraordinary.

00:08:38.200 The biggest ones of all, of course, are on the food front.

00:08:40.880 Those being the new dietary guidelines, flipping the food pyramid, eggs, meat, dairy, and whole foods at the top instead of refined carbs.

00:08:53.320 He says he's on a diet now of meat and sauerkraut, fermented vegetables.

00:08:59.020 I'm going to try that because so many of my friends say they have tried it

00:09:08.700 Then, of course, he's also pushed to strip the petroleum-based dyes

00:09:22.560 He also closed the loophole so that companies, pharma, big pharma,

00:10:43.100 I think was very important. President Trump also announced, among other major policy pronouncements

00:10:49.100 last night in Dallas, that he and the Republicans in the House and the Senate planned to issue a

00:10:54.220 $5,000 dividend check to every single American if re-elected in 2026. The mainstream media,

00:11:02.940 of course, was quick to attack this plan, calling it ludicrous or even suggesting that it was a

00:11:07.440 handout designed to buy votes. But the math is really quite simple. President Donald Trump banned

00:11:12.880 his administration have implemented dozens of tariffs on nations across the world, taking since

00:11:18.980 they took office in 2016. Experts estimate that President Trump has earned the United States over

00:11:24.500 $329 billion in tariff revenue in just one year of his second term alone, with over $315 billion

00:11:33.560 being earned during his first four years in office. So if you add in the hundreds of billions

00:11:39.440 of dollars in wealth generated by Trump's Venezuela operation and other key moves during

00:11:45.000 his presidency, Donald Trump has generated trillions of dollars for the U.S. Treasury.

00:11:50.340 Within this proposal, Trump has simply vowed to return that money to the American people.

00:11:55.160 It's the same people who sent him to Washington in 2024 with victories in every swing state.

00:12:00.720 The people are the ones who make the economy work. The recoiling we're seeing in the mainstream

00:12:06.200 media over this proposal is twofold. Most are simply panicked about the issues it may cause

00:12:11.420 Democrats in the 2026 midterms. It also shows the power of incumbency. Additionally, the president

00:12:18.620 has agreed a $500 rebate to everyone who's been ripped off through Obamacare. So that's $5,500

00:12:25.560 for most taxpayers. Other elitists in the mainstream media and the establishment politics

00:12:31.800 see it as an abhorrent reward to the very people who make the economy work, the American people.

00:12:38.080 Meanwhile, President Trump also highlighted the danger of electing Democrats while speaking in

00:12:43.600 Dallas last night. He spoke about Democrats voting against his no-tax-on-tips policy,

00:12:50.140 which became one of his most popular policies in the 2024 election, so popular that about two

00:12:55.140 weeks after he proposed it in a speech in Las Vegas, after talking to some cocktail waitresses

00:13:00.420 where the idea was born, Kamala Harris came out and she proposed no tax on tips as if it was

00:13:06.280 an original idea. Trump said correctly that the Democrats want to repeal his no tax on tips

00:13:14.620 and went so far as to point out that they would probably also repeal the no taxes on overtime

00:13:21.280 and restore the taxes on Social Security. See, under Donald Trump, 88% of those who receive

00:13:28.340 Social Security benefits, we'll pay no taxes on them. This is all parts of the big, beautiful bill.

00:13:37.040 And it does, I think it is important to recognize that although voters are existential and they live

00:13:42.800 in the now, Donald Trump has delivered the greatest single tax cut in American history,

00:13:49.560 the greatest single level of regulatory cuts, including the three tax cuts that we have just

00:13:57.060 to scuff. So if we elect a Democrat majority in the House, what we'll be talking about is

00:14:04.060 impeachment, investigations and impeachment. The other day I saw Kareem Jeffries. He had a

00:14:11.300 matching hat and t-shirt with the same color green. The hat didn't fit very well, kind of

00:14:16.800 covered his ears. I guess that's the look. He's not trying to get on my international best dress

00:14:22.520 list that I publish every New Year's Day and I have for the last 16 years. But it was his message

00:14:28.420 that was more disturbing. I mean, they've actually issued a hit list of Trump appointees and Trump

00:14:33.340 family members they intend to go after. So talk about revenge and retaliation. That seems to be

00:14:39.240 the agenda of the Democrats. We'll talk about that on the other side. The president also made a very

00:14:45.820 key point we'll come back to. That is the fact that Iran is holding out to get Democrats elected 0.96

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, that's CISA and the FBI, published a joint cybersecurity advisor warning that the Iranian advanced persistent threat, APT, were likely intent on influence and interfering with the U.S. elections to show discord among voters and undermine public confidence in the U.S. electoral process.

00:18:54.620 Democrat U.S. Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania made a shocking appearance at the Republican Midterm Convention, addressing it by video to introduce his colleague, Republican Senator Dave McCormick.

00:19:08.900 Fetterman called himself a common sense Democrat, said he would stand with America and reject socialism and praise McCormick as a friend and a partner when it comes to the issue of Pennsylvania steel.

00:19:22.640 Fetterman also said he was willing to work with President Trump on projecting our U.S. steel industry.

00:19:27.640 The appearance lasted just over a minute, but immediately intensified speculation, of course, about Fetterman's relationship with his own party.

00:19:36.340 He has repeatedly said that he has no intention of becoming a Republican, citing some of his positions on labor issues and abortion as reasons he remains a Democrat.

00:19:46.600 But he refused to play ball with the radical left or the socialist wing of his party.

00:19:52.120 Fetterman has gained scorn and condemnation from many of his former supporters.

00:19:56.400 I saw last week that a number of his former staffers set up a website where they're talking at a school of their former boss, which to me is beyond the pale.

00:20:07.080 Cross-party convention appearances like this are actually not unprecedented.

00:20:11.640 Democrat Senator Zell Miller of Georgia spoke at the Republican National Convention in 2004,

00:20:17.260 Or while Joe Lieberman, who was an old friend of mine from Connecticut, endorsed John McCain and appeared at the Republican convention in 2008.

00:20:26.300 Fetterman's appearance is different in that he didn't endorse a Republican congressional slate or announce a party switch.

00:20:32.380 But he did use the platform to praise one colleague and to reject ideological extremes.

00:20:38.800 Even so, this will only fuel the fire of Democrats who are critical of Fetterman.

00:20:44.680 In their eyes, he's a traitor to their hyper-partisan cause for being willing to do what's best for America.

00:20:50.940 Fetterman could, in my opinion, just bite the bullet and become a Republican like Tulsi Gabbard had the courage to do.

00:20:58.140 And as a result, they accomplished more than they ever could have as a Democrat.

00:21:44.420 when an ABC News reporter tried to insinuate that several states would not be appearing at the Texas Midterm Convention.

00:21:54.200 And he said to her, you're the worst of all, in my opinion.

00:21:57.160 The reason that some people are not coming has nothing to do with the fact that we don't have enough room.

00:23:20.440 he's at one point insisted that there were as many as six biological sexes,

00:23:27.640 But the fact that this convention is taking place in Texas is going to be a major boost to that Senate race.

00:24:40.340 Maryland Democrat Congressman Jamie Raskin launched base attacks on President Donald Trump, falsely claiming that Trump has committed impeachable offenses.

00:24:48.900 I'm kind of used to this kind of stuff from Jamie Raskin.

00:24:51.320 Before the January 6th committee hearings, he essentially insisted that the hearings would prove that I had something to do with illegal activities on January 6th.

00:25:00.760 Raskin should have known better. The FBI, it was reported by Reuters in April of 2017, reported that the FBI found that I had no involvement in the illegal activities at the Capitol.

00:25:13.780 In fact, any claim that I knew in advance about, participated in or condoned any illegal activity on January 6th is not only categorically false, but there is no email, no video, no eyewitness, no text message, no evidence to the contrary.

00:25:31.520 And when you went to the actual January 6th hearing, all you got was the perjured testimony of a woman named Cassidy Hutchinson,

00:25:38.120 who claimed falsely that the White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, had called both me and General Michael Flynn on January 6th or January 5th to find out what was going to happen on January 6th.

00:30:57.820 That doesn't seem like an impeachable offense on Donald Trump's part or any common sense on Jamie Raskin's part.

00:31:05.240 Perhaps he should be dismissed from the House of Representatives for his commitment to handling taxpayer dollars over to fraudsters and criminals.

00:37:01.240 If you would guess that she would work to help citizens of her district to make the streets safer or make her district more prosperous, no, Connolly has promised to use her office if elected to impeach Trump officials.

00:37:13.920 While speaking to CNN, Connolly specifically says she plans to impeach the Defense Secretary or the Secretary of War, as I guess he's now called, if elected against Lawler in 2026.

They have no positive program to create jobs, no positive program to bring down food prices, no positive program to bring down the availability and the cost of housing, no positive program to make our streets and communities safer.
