00:01:30.500 We'll be right back.
00:02:00.500 We'll be right back.
00:02:30.500 We'll be right back.
00:03:00.500 We'll be right back.
00:03:30.640 In Los Angeles, this appears to be splitting to New York, Chicago, Dallas, and Atlanta.
00:03:36.920 Lee Smith, thank you so much for joining us in the Stone Zone.
00:03:40.240 Yeah, thank you so much, Roger.
00:03:41.540 Always nice to speak with you.
00:03:43.020 So lay this out for us because your book really does seem precinct.
00:03:49.220 I thought at the time this was mostly groundbreaking.
00:03:52.420 I knew parts of this, not all of it.
00:03:53.860 But you clearly foresaw all of this.
00:03:58.540 Well, one of the things that tips it off are the people who are involved, the people who've been talking about this since at least January 2024.
00:04:09.200 What was interesting was that even back then, they'd anticipated or gamed out the possibility of a Trump victory in November 2024.
00:04:18.980 And so they reasoned that since the deportation operation was going to be so big on Trump's agenda, that this was also a place where they could attack Trump.
00:04:33.180 And the way that they would attack Donald Trump is what we're seeing today.
00:04:36.740 The first part is to get people out on the street.
00:04:42.580 And there's many other people who have covered this, who have said who are the people who are involved, who are paying to put people on the street.
00:04:51.620 And that would prompt the president to call out National Guard units as well as regular military units.
00:05:02.360 And that's what we're seeing in Los Angeles.
00:05:04.060 Then the design is to have people inside the Pentagon object to Trump's moves, and that will split the Pentagon and presumably split the armed forces and destabilize the American government.
00:05:19.140 The people in there, the people who are involved or behind this are some familiar names, including a man named Mark Elias, who was then who was formerly a lawyer at Perkins Coy.
00:05:29.400 And he was the person who essentially funded the Steele dossier.
00:05:34.640 Another one of these people is a woman named Rosa Brooks, who was an Obama Pentagon official.
00:05:39.820 And she was behind the Transition Integrity Project, which basically gamed out the election irregularities and what that would lead to, including not just the election, but the aftermath where Trump supporters would be rolled up.
00:05:56.900 Then another person is someone, Roger, I suspect that your audience that will know her name, too.
00:06:02.380 That name is Mary McCord.
00:06:04.180 And she was she was a Justice Department official and she was lead on the, you know, this unlawful investigation of Donald Trump, the Russia collusion probe.
00:06:15.900 After that, McCord has worked in a variety of places, including I believe that she worked for Adam Schiff for a brief period.
00:06:23.520 And then she was on the January 6th committee attacking, impoverishing and imprisoning Trump supporters or helping to impoverish and imprison Trump supporters.
00:06:33.240 So all these names are pretty well known to people.
00:06:36.300 And these are the same people who have been writing about this, the same people who have been war gaming this.
00:06:42.220 And what I mean about war gaming, they've been war gaming these protests, how they would spread, how they would grow bigger, how the president would be compelled to invoke all sorts of different statutes to send out the to send out.
00:06:56.560 Not just not to bypass governors who would not cooperate like Gavin Newsom and also to send out regular military units.
00:07:04.380 So I'm concerned that what we're seeing unfold right here is something that these people, anti-Trump plotters, have been, again, planning since at least January 2024, probably much earlier.
00:07:17.760 Yeah, I'm very familiar with almost everyone on the list.
00:07:20.580 Mark Elias appeared at my trial on behalf of the Democrat National Committee and made a motion granted by the judge that the so-called crowd strikes memo, which allegedly proved that the Russian intelligence had hacked the DNC, not be released to my defense attorney.
00:07:38.100 He won that motion.
00:07:39.280 How?
00:07:39.880 Not surprisingly.
00:07:41.180 If you're just tuning in, folks, we're talking to Lee Smith.
00:07:44.000 Yes, President Donald Trump said, Lee Smith is a great American patriot who has understood that the threat from the beginning, the radical left, is the true threat to our democracy.
00:07:53.660 That's what he said about Lee Smith.
00:07:55.340 I urge you to get his new book, Disappearing the President.
00:07:59.200 He also writes regularly for the Tablet magazine.
00:08:02.620 He has a new piece up now that ties what we are seeing unfolding before our very eyes to this group of radicals.
00:08:11.200 I think Lee and I both agree that the Russian collusion hoax is the greatest single dirty trick in American politics.
00:08:20.840 It is an abuse of power in which the full authority of the United States government and the incredible capability of our intelligence agencies was utilized using two pieces of evidence that they knew from the beginning were fraudulent.
00:08:39.120 The so-called Steele dossier, which alleges that Donald Trump frolicked with Russian prostitutes when visiting Moscow as a private citizen, was a total fraud, paid for by Hillary Clinton, whose campaign actually paid a fine for trying to disguise the payments for that document as legal fees rather than what they really were.
00:09:01.600 And, of course, the false claim that the Russians hacked the DNC.
00:09:06.560 This is a figment of John Brennan's imagination that they built an entire federal investigation around.
00:09:15.420 Let me just ask you, you asked me this, Lee, I'm going to ask you, how do you think President Trump is doing overall fighting these pernicious influences, both inside and, sadly, inside his own government?
00:09:30.060 Well, I think he's doing a terrific job.
00:09:34.460 And I'm, you know, I think that Secretary Hegseth over at the Pentagon is doing a great job, too.
00:09:42.840 And, you know, I mean, there's been some issues over there, not due to the secretary himself, but there's, you know, there's been some people who appear to be leaking against them or trying to hurt them.
00:09:54.120 So, again, I'm just concerned looking at this particular operation since the Pentagon is part of the target, and this is how these people, they gamed it out.
00:10:04.400 Their whole point was, and this is a very important thing, Roger, because I suspect that most of your listeners will be thinking that DOD, the uniformed military, is solidly red, solidly behind Donald Trump.
00:10:18.860 And there's a lot of them, thank goodness, who are, but there's also a lot of people in there who owe their rank to the Democrats.
00:10:25.920 And these people have been curated to become good, blue Clinton, then Obama Democrats.
00:10:33.480 That's been going on for about nearly, well, for about 25 years.
00:10:37.700 There's a number of different Washington institutions that take young, that take young officers, and the job is to turn them into Democrats.
00:10:46.060 So, yeah, there are people over in that building who can cause a lot of trouble for the Trump administration and for Secretary Hegseth.
00:10:54.700 So, you know, but I think they've been very much on the ball, and they have the support of, you know, they have the support of God-fearing, patriotic Americans who think it's a terrible thing that even if they don't love Los Angeles or New York or Chicago,
00:11:11.600 I think it's a terrible thing that our beautiful American cities are being turned into dangerous, squalid, third-world cesspools, and that this violence is a terrible thing. 1.00
00:11:24.160 So, they know they have the support of Americans.
00:11:28.760 This shrimp and coconut sauce is divine.
00:11:31.220 What's your secret?
00:11:32.180 Goya coconut milk.
00:11:33.320 How does it taste so good?
00:11:34.680 It's all in that real coconut flavor and that rich, creamy texture.
00:11:38.760 What about thickeners and added sugars?
00:11:41.000 None.
00:11:41.580 Just smooth, coconutty goodness.
00:11:44.080 What can I make with it?
00:11:45.200 From curries to sweet treats like coconut flan, the possibilities are endless.
00:11:50.540 Goya coconut milk.
00:11:51.780 Take your cooking to the next level.
00:11:53.220 No question about it.
00:11:54.480 Find it in the Goya section of your local grocery store.
00:11:56.820 If it's Goya, it has to be good.
00:11:59.020 Yeah, you're absolutely right about the fact that it is entirely outdated thinking to believe that there are people inside the upper, middle, and to a great extent, even the lower levels of our military who are not leftists, not globalists.
00:12:13.480 I mean, Barack Obama, over his eight years, systematically retired.
00:12:19.040 He promoted those who were globalists.
00:12:21.000 He retired those who were just straight-head soldiers without any political beliefs or anyone who, God forbid, leaned right or maybe revered the Constitution.
00:12:31.380 So, and this is not just true, sadly, of our military, but Donald Trump is still dealing with a captive government.
00:12:39.060 I mean, he may name the U.S. Attorney General, for example.
00:12:43.780 He may even name the U.S. Attorneys in a given jurisdiction.
00:12:48.200 But everyone working below that interim U.S. Attorney is a leftist Democrat activist or a careerist who is a Democrat posing as a civil servant.
00:13:02.960 Turning around the government, it's like turning around an ocean liner.
00:13:06.940 So, let's take Kash Patel, who's both a friend of yours and a friend of mine, a very good man, I think uniquely qualified for the job of FBI director, largely because he not only served as a government prosecutor, he was the chief of staff of a major department, the Department of Defense, demonstrating he has the administrative experience.
00:13:29.780 And he was, of course, the man who led the Russian collusion investigation for Congressman Devin Nunes, who was my first choice for vice president with Donald Trump.
00:13:42.100 Not that I don't like J.D. Vance, but I was for—
00:13:44.720 That's right. I remember you saying that now. That was great.
00:13:48.440 I think speaking to former Congressman Nunes, once he started seeing that groundswell of support, he was surprised and honored, and I think he didn't want—he didn't want nothing to do with it.
00:14:01.120 But I remember that now. I'm so glad you mentioned that.
00:14:04.000 Well, I just think—look, I think he is uniquely qualified, and I'll tell you why.
00:14:07.520 There are very few people who go to Washington for as long as he was there and rise to a powerful position, as he did as the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, who don't lose their souls.
00:14:20.900 Devin Nunes is the same guy he was when he left for his first term for Congress.
00:14:25.120 He's a patriot. He's a nationalist in the sense that he loves his country.
00:14:29.380 He reveres the Constitution.
00:14:31.660 You can't buy him if you're a lobbyist, so don't even try.
00:14:34.660 He's a person of enormous integrity and common sense.
00:14:39.040 Now, that's how John McCain was when he left for Washington, as a member of the House, and look at the way he ended up.
00:14:46.460 No, I think he would have been a great vice president.
00:14:49.200 Who knows? He may yet be a great vice president someday.
00:14:52.460 He's a relatively young man.
00:14:54.620 But you make a larger point here, and that is there has been this kind of shadow operation that includes Norm Eisen and Andrew Weissman, also known as the single most corrupt prosecutor in U.S. history,
00:15:12.080 along with Mary McCord and these others, who are operating, I think, in violation of the Constitution and to abuse their power in the Biden administration, try to lock up Donald Trump, put him in jail, try to bankrupt him, try to keep him off the ballot in all 50 states.
00:15:30.340 They call it lawfare, and they're right back to it.
00:15:32.920 Norm Eisen, who has to be one of the most odious characters I've ever seen, bragging the other night on how many lawsuits that he's filed.
00:15:40.260 So what they do is they go forum shopping.
00:15:43.500 So they look for a jurisdiction that has a particularly left-wing activist judge, and then they go there with litigation, which has already been decided in other jurisdictions.
00:15:55.160 So, for example, President Trump has the authority to return a violent, illegal immigrant to their home.
00:16:02.740 He has that constitutional authority.
00:16:05.500 But in D.C., they tried to tell him, and he didn't.
00:16:07.700 He has the authority to negotiate tariff deals with other nations.
00:16:12.320 But the International Court of Trade in Manhattan, New York, that's a good one.
00:16:17.520 I never even heard of them before.
00:16:19.160 They popped up and said, no, he didn't.
00:16:21.220 Now, ultimately, the courts have, when we got to the Supreme Court, in every case so far, the courts have ruled for the president.
00:16:29.040 But all of this is designed to delay the president's success.
00:16:34.000 And when you add it to the refusal by the head of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, who is acting politically to refuse to cut interest rates,
00:16:43.720 even though the inflation rate today is almost exactly where it was when they cut them for Joe Biden,
00:16:49.600 you see what this is really about, which is to say to stop Donald Trump's agenda, to derail, defund, or dismiss the fundamental changes the American people voted for in the last election.
00:17:07.780 It's terrible because, look, I mean, of course, there are political rivalries.
00:17:15.660 There are political enemies.
00:17:17.900 And I guess that's not surprising that people would target their enemies.
00:17:22.540 But the fact is, look at how many American people are hurt by this.
00:17:25.320 I mean, you're talking about refusing to lower the interest rates.
00:17:27.780 I mean, you know, there's young families who'd like to get a house or someone needs a new car or someone wants to get a used car.
00:17:34.640 And, you know, it had just helped people out.
00:17:37.920 And what we're talking about is something even worse because of the violence involved in these protests.
00:17:43.060 And look at these animals sending dangerous, violent people into the streets to hurt the Donald Trump agenda.
00:17:49.780 How many Americans are going to get hurt by this?
00:17:52.260 I mean, actually pay a physical price.
00:17:56.120 Businesses are being destroyed.
00:17:57.860 People are being threatened.
00:17:58.900 And it's just a terrible thing they're doing.
00:18:02.920 And it's really just it's just more evidence that these people are effectively, if not in reality, communists.
00:18:09.860 Right.
00:18:10.040 They're a total disconcern for other Americans.
00:18:14.220 It's just despicable.
00:18:15.680 All right.
00:18:16.320 Just tune in, folks.
00:18:17.320 We're talking to Lee Smith, the New York Times bestselling author.
00:18:20.320 And we'll be right back with more of his political observations.
00:18:24.200 He kind of connecting the dots for us here in terms of who is funding this insurrection that's taking place in America.
00:18:31.900 We'll be right back.
00:18:33.220 And you're back in the stone zone.
00:18:40.600 We're talking to Lee Smith, the author of the New York Times bestseller, The Plot Against the President.
00:18:46.260 His latest book, even more disturbing, Disappearing the President.
00:18:50.360 Really a synopsis of the last several years of lawfare in which our constitutional system was bent,
00:18:58.980 particularly in New York State, remains to be seen whether Letitia James, the attorney general of New York,
00:19:05.600 among those trying to derail Trump's reelection by prosecuting him under law,
00:19:12.140 in which no one else has ever in the history of the state been prosecuted.
00:19:16.640 Prosecuting him specifically because she claimed that he inflated the value of his assets in order to obtain real estate loans
00:19:24.920 that he paid back in full and where those lending the money made $40 million in interest.
00:19:31.520 Every one of them said they would do it again.
00:19:34.640 The most bogus case I have ever seen.
00:19:37.920 Lee, how's this all come out?
00:19:40.320 In other words, I think that the president, I think he's got an incredible constitution, incredible energy.
00:19:48.360 But the far left is really embedded here.
00:19:51.480 I mean, they're not giving up.
00:19:54.700 And, you know, I think that understandably, understandably, Americans were so overjoyed that that Donald Trump won in November.
00:20:06.440 And we've been celebrating.
00:20:08.800 We've been enjoying our liberation from forces of darkness.
00:20:12.140 We feel that we're no longer at the edge of the abyss.
00:20:15.180 And that's right.
00:20:16.320 But we also have to keep in mind that this is a it's a very short term.
00:20:21.920 It can go by awfully quickly.
00:20:23.540 And the people who've been targeting Donald Trump since 2015, since late 2015, are not going away.
00:20:31.400 And that's what these protests are about.
00:20:33.720 And that's what everything is about.
00:20:34.860 And it's very I think it's also very important to recognize that we flatter many of our neighbors and fellow Americans to say, well, look, now that things are back to normal, people can see that this is better than living in this madness as it was under Joe Biden.
00:20:52.300 Again, we have to keep in mind that Kamala Harris got an awful lot of votes and and those people are still those people are still there.
00:21:01.540 So I think it's it's urgent.
00:21:06.420 It's important that we keep we keep our heads up and see what and see what's going on, because Donald Trump does need does need our support, our vigilance.
00:21:17.080 Our country needs our support and our vigilance, because, again, the people who have been targeting Trump for the last decade are not going to give up now for them.
00:21:24.980 It's going to get more urgent, more serious.
00:21:27.600 And and open borders is a you it's it's a crucial issue for them, just as it is for us, for normal Americans who think that, you know, if you want to come into the country, you should do it legally for them.
00:21:40.100 It's very important.
00:21:41.500 It's an electoral tool, right?
00:21:43.420 And this is an important part to try to bring these people to try to bring a potential client base to recreate the electorate.
00:21:52.660 It's very important for Democratic Party bosses.
00:21:55.920 So they're going to be out there.
00:21:57.860 This is what they're fighting for.
00:21:59.320 It's not just it's not because they're kind.
00:22:02.000 They're kind people who want to give the world a chance to share in the American dream, even if it's illegal.
00:22:08.380 They're looking at their own electoral fortune.
00:22:11.700 That's why it's vital to them.
00:22:13.420 They can't give this up.
00:22:15.280 So this is this this fight.
00:22:16.920 What we're seeing unfolding now is, again, another really is an existential battle.
00:22:23.060 Right.
00:22:24.660 The future of America depends on Donald Trump winning on America, winning this particular fight over over the people who are burning down American cities to get their way and to keep borders open.
00:22:38.900 It's very serious.
00:22:40.140 I could not have said it better myself.
00:22:42.400 Well, if I'm afraid we have to wrap it up there, I want to thank our guest, Elise Smith and all of you who joined us today in the Stone Zone.
00:22:48.400 God bless you and Godspeed.
00:22:50.040 Godspeed.
00:22:50.600 This is the Stone Zone with Roger Stone.
