As an outspoken libertarian, Stone has appeared on thousands of broadcasts, spoken at countless venues, and lectured before the prestigious Oxford Political Union and the Cambridge Union Society. Stone has become a pop culture icon, and now hosts a popular podcast, Conversations That Matter, with legendary Republican strategist and political icon and pundit Roger Stone. In this episode, Stone discusses the circumstances surrounding the attempted assassination of President Trump at a pro-Trump rally in Pennsylvania on July 20th, 2017, and why he believes that the Secret Service knew that there was an armed man at the location of Trump's rally at least 62 minutes prior to the shooting. He also points out that the alleged shooter, Thomas Matthew Brooks, used a drone to surveil the location at least three times in order to learn the layout of the event, and that he was allowed to case the location in the hours just before the shooting even though a camera crew was sent to cover the event by a local law enforcement agency to get a better angle of the scene. And yet, still, no one has been charged in connection with the shooting, and no charges have been brought against the shooter. Why did this happen? And why did a man with a gun even exist in the first place that could be identified? and why did it even matter? And who was the shooter even have a permit to attend the Trump rally? And why was he allowed to attend it at all? anyway? All of these things? What was the point of view that matters? and did he have a gun or did he even have one at all of those things ? and to shoot at President Trump ? What is the truth about this man in the event? in this episode we ll find out! by Alex Newman, Senior Editor at The New American Magazine, Alex Newman Subscribe to Conversations that Matter? 00:00:00.320The Stone Zone, with legendary Republican strategist and political icon and pundit Roger Stone.
00:00:07.880Stone has served as a senior campaign aide to three Republican presidents.
00:00:11.900He is a New York Times best-selling author and a longtime friend and advisor of President Donald Trump.
00:00:17.520As an outspoken libertarian, Stone has appeared on thousands of broadcasts, spoken at countless venues,
00:00:23.160and lectured before the prestigious Oxford Political Union and the Cambridge Union Society.
00:00:27.940Due to his four-plus decades in the political and cultural arena, Stone has become a pop culture icon.
00:00:33.900And now, here's your host, Roger Stone.
00:00:41.140Welcome, I'm Roger Stone, and yes, you are back in the Stone Zone.
00:00:47.080The mainstream media and those who largely control social discourse on the internet
00:00:54.640are trying to bury any discussion of the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump.
00:01:03.180If you go to Google right now and you attempt to search assassination attempt Trump, nothing will come up.
00:01:13.460You will find assassination attempt Truman, and indeed, Puerto Rican radical nationalists did attempt to assassinate President Harry S. Truman.
00:03:56.680But what we've seen out of Butler is really increasingly stunning.
00:04:05.260The Secret Service and law enforcement clearly knew that there was an armed man at the location of President Trump's rally at least 62 minutes prior to the shooting.
00:04:18.400Why Trump was not evacuated, which is what the Secret Service manual of regulations and protocol requires, is the most disturbing question of all.
00:04:31.120We also know that the alleged shooter, a man that the Secret Service tells us is Thomas Matthew Brooks, used a drone to surveil the location at least three times in order to learn the layout.
00:04:51.620At the same time, we now know that the Secret Service declined three separate offers from local Pennsylvania law enforcement to do a drone surveillance of the layout for the Secret Service.
00:05:08.060The alleged shooter, who they again claim is Thomas Matthew Brooks, was allowed to case the location menacingly, pacing around the compound ominously in the hours just before the shooting took place.
00:05:27.620The alleged shooter was walking near the magnometer machines.
00:05:32.140Those are the machines you have to walk through to get access to the Trump rally that detect whether you have a firearm on you, so much so that there were complaints from people who were attendees.
00:05:48.920Then, of course, we've all seen the videos of people pointing out very loudly, look there on the roof, a man, a man with a gun.
00:06:03.220Then, late last week, FBI Director Christopher Wray stated incredibly that he wasn't certain that Donald Trump had even been shot, even though a bullet can be seen whizzing past his head because of the high-speed photography used by a mainstream media photographer
00:06:27.960who was specially sent for this shooting assignment.
00:06:33.180In fact, why CNN, which never covers any of the Trump rallies, had a camera crew there to cover this rally, remains yet another one of the anomalies that we have no answer to.
00:06:48.020We also know that the alleged shooter, again, they tell us that it is Thomas Matthew Brooks, was confronted by a police officer who knew that the shooter was armed, backed away, and left the roof.
00:07:07.020And we have no idea whether or not he radioed and informed his superiors.
00:07:15.760If he did, well, then again, nothing whatsoever was done.
00:07:21.900Now, the state police alerted the Secret Service that the alleged shooter was on the rooftop.
00:07:27.560They actually saw him using a rangefinder, and they text a picture of the man to a number provided by someone we believe to be a federal agent.
00:07:39.720Police also had their eyes, and this is interesting, on four other suspicious-looking individuals, any of one of whom, of course, could have been involved in a conspiracy to pull off this murder.
00:07:53.540However, Senator Josh Hawley reviewed yesterday that detection canines, in other words, firearms and ammunition-sniffing dogs, were inexorably not used to prevent threats at the entry points of the rally.
00:08:13.540We also learned that the members of the Butler County Sheriff's Office were not wearing or utilizing their body cams on this particular day.
00:08:28.220The Department of Homeland Security vehemently denied, at first, when I raised the question of whether they had approved many requests going back two years for additional manpower, personnel, and resources for Donald Trump's security detail.
00:08:52.920They vehemently denied that, only to change their story days later and confirm, in fact, that not only had they denied those requests, but that resources and personnel were diverted from the Butler, Pennsylvania event to provide security for First Lady Jill Biden,
00:09:17.780who was only about 45 minutes away, who was only about 45 minutes away in a different event.
00:09:24.120Then, of course, there is the lack of any social media footprint for Thomas Matthew Brooks.
00:09:33.160Interestingly enough, they very quickly identified him as the killer, and he killed, of course, Corey Comparatori, a 50-year-old firefighter.
00:09:46.780From that community, President Donald Trump has announced his intention to return to Butler for a visit.
00:09:57.480I think this is very smart because the media is desperate to get this story out of the news.
00:10:05.200That way, they will be unencumbered in their incredible buildup of Kamala Harris, trying to give people the impression that she's something, well, that she is not.
00:10:17.620I did find, however, that Thomas Matthew Brooks does have a profile on Gab.
00:10:25.040Gab is a social media platform where I have a page where I have a profile that really specializes in free speech for those who are banned on virtually every other platform.
00:10:43.220I first went to Gab myself because I was banned on X, now known as Twitter, banned on Facebook, banned on Instagram.
00:10:59.520I'm grateful to Elon Musk for being back on X.
00:11:03.420You can find me there as Roger J. Stone Jr.
00:11:07.860Here, I do want to caution folks that I do not have a profile on Facebook.
00:11:14.540There are many Roger Stones on Facebook, but I assure you, none of them is me.
00:11:20.980The Roger Stones on Facebook who are selling cryptocurrency or offering people jobs or seeking your financial information should be reported immediately because they are not this Roger Stone.
00:11:38.860Even on X, there are multiple Roger Stones.
00:11:45.900Now, they're very clever in that they completely copy my profile-specific bio, the graphics that I put up.
00:11:56.240They very quickly repost anything I post at my real age, my real profile, to make it look like they are me.
00:12:08.640But once again, they turn around and try to sell goods and services that I have nothing whatsoever to do with.
00:12:17.300In any event, going back to Gab, when you go to the Gab profile for Thomas Matthew Crooks, you will find that all of his posts are either pro-Joe Biden or they are pro-COVID-19 lockdown.
00:12:35.120So when they tell us that he has no social media profile, that's not entirely true.
00:12:42.980Then the other shocking thing that FBI Director Christopher Wray said prior, probably during his testimony before the House committee,
00:12:53.920is that Thomas Matthew Crooks actually did an online search to try to determine how many feet away Lee Harvey Oswald,
00:13:07.320the alleged killer of President John F. Kennedy, was at the time of Kennedy's murder.
00:13:14.580If all of the records for Mr. Crooks have been scrubbed from the Internet, well, how could FBI Director Wray know that?
00:13:28.420The Secret Service is, I'm sure, as most of you have seen, now urging President Donald Trump not to do any more of his large, large, enormous outdoor rallies.
00:13:47.620That is an attempt to make his campaign less effective.
00:13:53.320But what I did find shocking is the fact that while I was watching his great rally in Minnesota,
00:14:01.920that the same woman agent who seemed on video to be having trouble reholstering her firearm was once again in his security detail.
00:14:15.600Now, of course, House Speaker Mike Johnson says that he's going to appoint a special committee to investigate the attempted assassination of Trump.
00:14:29.240What's troubling about that is it is rumored that Dan Goldman, the congressman from Manhattan, New York,
00:14:38.200who said only days before the attempted assassination of Trump that Trump should be, quote,
00:14:45.180eliminated, is rumored to be the minority leader's nominee for that committee.
00:14:52.460Also hearing that Congressman Benny Thompson from Mississippi, you know, the guy who filed a civil suit against Donald Trump,
00:15:03.220accusing him of insurrection before he was appointed to chair the January 6th Committee,
00:15:10.780which was, of course, a kabuki theater produced for television fraud on the American people.
00:15:19.640Now, the speaker then, Nancy Pelosi, refused to appoint the Republicans to the committee that Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy recommended.
00:15:34.380I think there should be Democrats on this committee, but not Mr. Goldman and most certainly not Benny Thompson.
00:15:43.240While he's at it, Speaker Johnson should appoint a committee to investigate the January 6th Committee because their hearings were a fraud.
00:15:55.340The video that they used of me was very specifically edited, selectively edited.
00:16:03.140There's AI in the voice track that's easily determined with a simple AI software detection program.
00:16:11.480In fact, I used three different programs to be absolutely sure.
00:16:17.280And then, of course, there is Cassidy Hutchison.
00:16:20.740She was the witness in the January 6th Committee who insisted that President Trump directed his chief of staff, Mark Meadows,
00:16:31.220to call Roger Stone and General Mike Flynn on the afternoon of January 5th.
00:16:38.480And then, of course, Liz Cheney hopefully added to find out what was going to happen on the 6th.
00:28:34.280We have now seen the post and the comments where she did exactly that.
00:28:39.860It is amazing that the party, once again, that has been moaning and bitching about democracy for so long,
00:28:49.860has a closed process in which the bosses of the Democrat Party have lined up the vice presidential,
00:28:58.820pardon me, the presidential nomination for Kamala Harris.
00:29:02.560Now, the same sources, the source that told me on a Friday that Joe Biden would resign by letter on Sunday afternoon,
00:29:15.680tells me that the vice presidential contest is down to two candidates, not three.
00:29:23.400You see, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly seems to have been eliminated.
00:29:32.860That's because he is actually partners in a communist Chinese company that manufactures the kind of surveillance balloons
00:29:43.340that were used to illegally spy on this country during the Biden administration.
00:29:49.040You remember that? A balloon went all the way across the country.
00:29:54.360Evidently, Mark Kelly has a job as a U.S. senator on the side.
00:29:59.620I think the Democrats have figured out that that is an enormous vulnerability.
00:30:05.480The other candidate who seems to be under serious contention is Josh Shapiro, the governor of Pennsylvania.
00:30:14.440Now, Josh Shapiro would have to answer questions ultimately about the conduct of the Pennsylvania State Police during the Trump assassination attempt.
00:30:28.260The appearance by the Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner before the House Committee did not go terribly well.
00:30:37.220I believe that a more thorough investigation will find that the Pennsylvania State Police are as complicit or as incompetent or both as the Secret Service.
00:30:50.120But I've also heard that President Obama, who's very deeply involved in this process, in other words, the guy who would not endorse Kamala Harris until a couple of days ago,
00:31:03.860and even then doing it in what I think was an AI-generated voice app.
00:31:11.760Because if you see the video, why is Kamala Harris talking on the phone while the phone is on speaker?
00:31:20.160By the way, who answers the phone from the former president of the United States by saying, hey there, as opposed to hello, Mr. President?
00:31:28.580In any event, he's made it pretty clear that the selection of Shapiro will virtually guarantee the loss of Michigan.
00:31:40.620That's because Mr. Shapiro is quite obviously Jewish and therefore probably offensive to the heavily Muslim populations in Michigan and Minnesota,
00:31:57.100both of whom constitute a very large piece of the Democrat base in those states.
00:32:08.380Isn't it interesting that Barack Obama is going to dictate this choice?
00:32:14.740I predict that in order to avoid Kelly, whose candidacy is flawed for the reasons I've stated,
00:32:22.940as well as Shapiro, who I don't think can stand additional scrutiny regarding not only his activities in past elections,
00:32:33.420but also scrutiny of the actions of the Pennsylvania State Police surrounding the assassination attempt on Donald Trump,
00:32:45.300would necessarily lose the Democrats to other states.
00:33:09.500If Donald Trump was in Minnesota on Saturday, and he was, well, that tells me that the polling for the Trump campaign must show that Minnesota is in play.
00:33:23.040In fact, prior to Joe Biden's withdrawal, you saw a number of states that were heretofore thought to be unwinnable by Donald Trump within his grasp,
00:33:36.940those being Virginia, and New Mexico, and New Jersey, and Maine.
00:33:43.880So we should not get locked into this idea that the entire election will necessarily be decided in the swing states,
00:33:53.680because there may be swing states that we're not yet aware of.
00:33:58.840And this game of change the maps by Kamala Harris is relatively obvious.
00:34:10.160The other big initiative here is to erase the fact that Joe Biden did, in fact, appoint Kamala Harris as the so-called border czar.
00:34:21.080Now, just because the administration never used that word czar, it is absolutely clear there's many, many mainstream media reports, including NBC,
00:34:33.040in which it's obvious that Joe Biden appointed Kamala Harris with responsibility for our southern border.
00:34:41.200She never even visited the southern border when Lester Holt on NBC asked her about her responsibilities and why she hadn't visited the border.
00:34:53.700Her answer was, well, I haven't visited Europe either.
00:34:58.240To me, that seems like a non sequitur.
00:35:01.720At the same time, I think it is vitally important that the Trump campaign and Republicans stay focused on Kamala Harris and her record.
00:35:15.600This is, after all, the Biden-Harris administration.
00:35:20.360And therefore, she must answer for the record inflation that is destroying the buying power of the dollar.
00:35:27.960She must answer for the cost that is skyrocketing of a gallon of gasoline.
00:35:37.960She's responsible for the international policy that has us on the brink of war, both in Russia and Ukraine in that conflict.
00:35:49.560She must answer for the decision to unfreeze $190 billion in assets, which funded Iran's financing of Hamas and Hezbollah,
00:36:03.540who in turn attacked Israel on October 7th.
00:36:07.560She is responsible for the restart of the Iranian nuclear weapons development program.
00:36:20.000No, I think it is vitally important to recognize that the way to defeat Kamala Harris is not by pointing out that she's dumb or not pointing out questions about her sexual history.
00:36:34.220In fact, as amusing and entertaining as those things may be, that will actually have the effect of driving other women voters to vote for her on the basis that she's being unfairly attacked as a woman.
00:36:51.220So I urge those who want to win this election, who are deeply concerned with Kamala Harris's record, to avoid those ad hominem attacks on Vice President Kamala Harris.
00:37:11.580There are a couple of rumors here that really do need to be addressed.
00:37:16.440The first one, we've got a headline on this.
00:37:20.260Chuck Schumer says that Donald Trump is going to replace J.D. Vance as his running mate.
00:37:29.460This is, of course, completely and totally false.
00:37:34.140The entire media narrative that the president is unhappy with J.D. Vance is completely false.
00:37:42.500The claim that Trump's advisors and staff are unhappy with J.D. Vance is completely false.
00:37:52.860You see, you really can't believe virtually anything, but who, like Chuck Schumer, why would he know?
00:38:04.720But you're going to hear it again and again in the days ahead.
00:38:08.480Folks, I want to talk to you about the satellite phone that I have found so extraordinarily useful.
00:38:18.760You may remember several months ago when AT&T Cellular had a complete and total shutdown.
00:38:26.940When that happened, I couldn't reach my wife or any member of my family.
00:38:34.900I couldn't reach any of my business associates.
00:38:38.660And it occurs to me now that if I needed to phone for emergency services, I would not be able to do so.
00:38:46.160Then I began to think about what it would be like if we had an entire power grid shutdown.
00:38:52.140I happen to believe, because of a number of the qualified guests that we've had on this show, that that is completely and totally possible.
00:39:03.700I think that we have a real vulnerability.
00:39:07.820But cellular towers are completely and totally vulnerable.
00:44:20.740Both Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy attended a Bitcoin conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
00:44:29.240I don't know where Donald Trump gets his energy, because on Friday, he was with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
00:44:40.160On Saturday, he spoke to a standing room-only rally in Minnesota, and by Sunday, he was on his way to Nashville for the Bitcoin conference.
00:44:52.780Now, Robert F. Kennedy criticized Donald Trump in his remarks because there was a time when Trump was skeptical of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin, but he's changed his view.
00:45:09.560I would remind Mr. Kennedy that he used to be for gun control and he opposed the Second Amendment and our Second Amendment rights.
00:45:16.980But he now tells us that he's changed his position.
00:45:21.300So if Kennedy can change his position on our Second Amendment rights to own a firearm,
00:45:28.320well, then Donald Trump is entitled to change his view on cryptocurrency and Bitcoin.
00:45:34.360I think the president now understands that it takes energy, cheap energy, for America to emerge as the Bitcoin mining center of the world.
00:45:48.920I think he understands that this is a creation of a currency, a monetary system, if you will, that is not controlled by the government,
00:46:01.040in which the government cannot look at your personal transactions.
00:46:05.500That's why the Biden administration is extraordinarily hostile to cryptocurrency and Bitcoin,
00:46:13.700which is why Donald Trump got an incredible ovation when he said that his first act, among his first acts,
00:46:23.400would be to fire Gary Gensler, the current head of the SEC, who is hostile to Bitcoin.
