00:01:47.280 This is The Stone Zone with Roger Stone.

00:01:51.060 People love him and respect him.

00:01:52.700 Roger Stone.

00:01:54.020 And now, get in the zone. It's the Stone Zone. Here's Roger Stone.

00:02:01.940 It all started when Vice President J.D. Vance, speaking at the Nixon Presidential Library, said,

00:02:11.480 and by the way, if you look at the story of how the deep state took down Richard Nixon,

00:02:16.700 it's not at all different from the same group of people, the same institutions,

00:02:20.900 that tried to do Donald Trump in the first Trump administration.

00:02:25.660 There is a parallel.

00:02:27.180 Then when you combine that with an extraordinarily creative online campaign

00:02:33.100 by two young men at the Nixon Foundation,

00:02:36.580 James Byron, the president and CEO of the foundation,

00:02:40.420 and Chris Barber, their young marketing director,

00:02:44.480 they have started a phenomena online known as Nixon Maxing.

00:02:50.260 in which they have used memes, short videos, and platforms like Instagram, X, and YouTube

00:02:59.360 to introduce an entire new generation of young people to Richard Milhouse Nixon.

00:03:05.140 Now, I myself have worked on this particular project for more than a decade,

00:03:11.340 having written two books on the 37th president.

00:03:14.800 And now what I see are liberals flipping out because, you see, they can no longer recast the tale of Watergate as a morality play in which the liberals saved America.

00:03:27.100 Those were the happiest day of their lives.

00:03:30.120 They were on a permanent high for they were at long last wreaking a delicious revenge on the man.

00:03:38.760 Well, tail gunner Joe McCarthy accepted.

00:03:41.500 They hated more than any other.

00:03:44.260 When Richard Nixon went down, one liberal triumphantly titled a book of the era entitled When the Good Guys Finally Won.

00:03:52.080 Personally, I find that to be a howler.

00:03:54.880 But why did they hate Nixon so?

00:03:57.640 Why do they hate him still?

00:03:59.000 Why are John Dean and Jill Wine-Volner, the former Watergate prosecutor, or Nick Ackerman, the biggest phony of them all, former Watergate prosecutor who pretends to be an unbiased law enforcement official, but is in fact a partisan hater.

00:04:18.180 Why do they so revile him?

00:04:20.900 Born poor, with an older and younger brother, dying before they were 18.

00:04:26.380 Nixon's story is a classic Horatio Alger.

00:04:30.060 He excelled at school, worked in his dad's grocery store, served his country honorably in World War II,

00:04:37.200 came home to run for Congress, and was elected along with fellow veteran John F. Kennedy.

00:04:42.600 But unlike his playboy friend, Nixon took Congress seriously.

00:04:47.940 In his first term, he vaulted to national fame by exposing a communist spy, a traitor, an agent of Joe Stalin, inside the Truman FDR inner circle.

00:05:00.940 That was the golden boy of liberalism, Alger Hiss.

00:05:05.100 In the Truman administration, Americans were angrily demanding answers. 0.58

00:05:09.960 Twelve million Americans had fought World War II to victory, but Stalin seemed to be the big winner.

00:05:16.360 Ten Christian countries in Eastern Europe had been ceded to the great terrorists by Churchill and FDR at Yalta. 0.71

00:05:24.320 The most populous nation on earth, China, for which we had gone to war, had fallen to the murderous madman Mao Zedong.

00:05:33.160 From Indochina to Korea to Czechoslovakia, communism was ascended.

00:05:39.920 See, what Nixon provided was hard evidence that the suspicions of American patriots were justified. 0.96

00:05:45.560 FDR's regime had indeed been honeycombed with Stalin spies and homegrown red traders. 0.92

00:05:53.360 Nixon had exposed the best and the brightest of the New Dealers, the erudite and urbane Harvard graduate Alger Hiss, as a Soviet duke. 0.96

00:06:04.780 They would never forgive him.

00:06:06.940 In 1948, both parties nominated Nixon for a second term in the House.

00:06:11.200 Not only did Jack Kennedy agree with Nixon, castigating FDR and Secretary of State George Marshall for the loss of China, but Jack Kennedy's father, Joe Kennedy, sent a check to Nixon's 1950 Senate campaign when he won a massive landslide over Helen Gagin Douglas after Mrs. Douglas had been carved up by a naive fellow traveler in her Democrat primary.

00:06:38.840 The Pink Lady, they called her, and Nixon's savvy campaign advisor, Murray Schotner, took the voting record of Harlem congressman and Communist Party member Vito Marcantonio, compared it to that of Helen Hagan Douglas, and found a huge commonality.

00:06:58.880 He printed it in a pink colored paper leaflet and Nixon said she was pink right down to her underwear.

00:07:08.740 The left seethed with resentment.

00:07:11.280 For now, Nixon was the most effective anti-communist of his era.

00:07:15.840 The bayonet of the Republican Party in the triumphant 1952 campaign against feckless liberal egghead Adlai Stevenson.

00:07:24.480 And he had captured the vice presidency at 39 years of age.

00:07:28.300 In fact, the rise of Richard Nixon is miraculous. He was released from the Navy in 1945. He was out of work in 1946, but agreed to run for Congress. And just six years later, he was the vice presidential candidate on the Republican ticket.

00:07:48.240 That's four years in the House, victory in the 1950 Senate race, and then adopted for the ticket.

00:07:55.400 In 1952, when Dwight Eisenhower defeated Senator Robert Taft, and party leaders felt that Ike needed a hardline anti-communist and a conservative on the ticket with him.

00:08:10.200 When the liberal New York Post launched a smear to try to drive Nixon off the Eisenhower ticket, accusing him of having a secret slush fund, Nixon's televised counterattack, the famous Checkers speech, not only solidified his position, but he made him the first Republican politician in decades with broad appeal across middle America.

00:08:34.240 In the 1960 campaign, the National Press Corps went into the tank for Kennedy, covering up a lifestyle that would make Bill Clinton look like a Trappist monk.

00:08:45.060 And although there is hard evidence that the 1960 election was stolen in Chicago and Texas, the press was nonetheless delighted by Nixon's defeat.

00:08:55.480 President Dwight Eisenhower and New York Governor Tom Dewey, who had been the 1944 and 1948 Republican candidate for president,

00:09:04.220 both urged Nixon to challenge the 1960 election.

00:09:07.380 But Nixon knew if he did so, he would go down in history as a sore loser and that he would create a constitutional crisis that the country could not bear and that would show weakness to our international enemies.

00:09:21.160 He chose to suffer his defeat with dignity.

00:09:25.760 In 1962, when he made an ill-fated race for governor of California,

00:09:31.380 the Cuban Missile Crisis blacked out Nixon's surging campaign for governor in the closing days,

00:09:37.660 and he lost, denouncing the media in an angry last press conference.

00:09:44.180 The political establishment exultantly declared him dead.

00:09:47.480 But after the Goldwater Round of 1964, something miraculous happened between the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the assassination of Robert Kennedy, the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, the deep divisions in the country over the Vietnam War and with New York's and probably America's cities on fire.

00:10:10.620 The seas parted in such a way that Richard Nixon was able to make the greatest comeback in American political history

00:10:19.540 Save the comeback of Donald Trump in 2024

00:10:23.600 He first led the Republican Party to a 40-seat gate in the 1966 election two years later

00:10:30.560 In a three-way race in which he had George Wallace running to his right and Vice President Hubert Humphrey running to his left

00:10:38.920 he eked out a victory to become President of the United States.

00:10:43.000 Then, with both houses of Congress, the federal bureaucracy, big media,

00:10:48.380 and the cultural and academic elites viscerally opposed,

00:10:52.340 Nixon, by 1972, seemed to achieve his greatest coup.

00:10:58.080 It was a U.S. victory in Vietnam.

00:11:01.180 He and Spiro Agnew were rewarded with the greatest popular landslide in history,

00:11:05.060 carrying 49 states against another champion of liberalism, George McGovern.

00:13:41.480 But by now, sadly, Richard Nixon had stumbled.

00:13:45.680 Instead of throwing his old friend, John Mitchell, who was my boss and Nixon's law partner,

00:13:50.840 ladies and attorney general, to the wolves when Mitchell's aides got caught filching

00:13:55.620 papers from the Democrat National Committee. Nixon let Watergate aides, White House aides, 1.00

00:14:01.380 attempt to contain the scandal. Like FDR, JFK, and LBJ, he crossed the line. But where they had

00:14:09.420 been protected by Democrat Congresses and their media allies, Congress and the media seized on

00:14:15.100 Watergate and colluded to destroy a president who had defeated them and take the country

00:14:19.840 completely away from them.

00:14:22.260 After 18 months of relentless attack,

00:14:25.000 with his great silent majority shrunk to about 25% of the country,

00:14:29.020 Nixon was forced to resign. 0.93

00:14:31.060 To crown the left's victory, Vietnam,

00:14:33.500 they cut off the funds,

00:14:35.180 the same drifted Congress from the means to defend itself, 0.76

00:14:38.460 and it fell to the communists, as did the poor Cambodians. 0.83

00:14:43.140 Congress then proceeded to gut the FBI and the CIA,

00:14:46.880 and for that, children, that is the story of Watergate.

00:14:49.840 But now, an entire generation of young people are getting a second look at Richard Milhouse Nixon.

00:14:57.220 It's thanks, I think, largely not only to those opening comments by J.D. Vance, but also because of two extraordinary young men,

00:15:06.340 James Byron, the president and chief executive order of the Nixon Foundation,

00:15:11.180 and Chris Barber, the young marketing directors who have launched an extraordinary online campaign they call Nixon Maxing.

00:15:18.940 Nixon maxing is the order of the day and has caused an extraordinary review of Richard Nixon, Watergate and his presidency.

00:15:29.860 Check it out online.

00:15:31.800 Meanwhile, the federal appeals court has cleared the way for the release of recordings between former President Joe Biden and his ghostwriter Mark Zwanitzer.

00:15:41.420 Tapes that could provide new insight into Biden's memory and his handling of classified information.

00:15:47.440 Now, when Richard Nixon went to court to try to block the release of his tapes, he lost nine to zero in the U.S. Supreme Court.

00:15:57.440 I'm not sure why Joe Biden's lawyers thought that he should be treated differently.

00:16:01.260 The Heritage Foundation and the Oversight Project sought the recordings in federal court after Special Counsel Robert Herr's 2024 report revealed troubling details about his interview with Joe Biden during his investigation into Biden's handling of classified documents.

00:16:21.360 Herr wrote that Joe Biden showed significant memory limitations and appeared unable to recall major dates, including when he served as vice president and when his son, Beau Biden, died.

00:16:33.080 Biden attempted to block the Justice Department from releasing the material, but a divided appeals court rejected that request, ruling that he had not shown the recordings were legally required to remain secret.

00:16:45.080 The court temporarily extended an injunction until August 3rd, allowing time for another appeal.

00:16:52.200 These recordings matter because Hurr declined to prosecute Biden over the classified documents found in his home, his garage, and his offices.

00:17:02.240 Hurr concluded that a jury might view Biden as a sympathetic elderly man with a poor memory who could struggle to find that he acted willfully.

00:17:12.400 How, then, you might ask, was he fit to be president of the United States?

00:17:16.780 While the Biden Justice Department aggressively prosecuted Donald Trump over classified documents

00:17:21.380 and his retention of them, which I can see under the Presidential Records Act was perfectly legal,

00:17:27.280 Biden escaped charges partly because the prosecutors believed his mental condition made conviction unlikely.

00:17:34.080 Of course, at this time, the public was assuredly repeated over and over again that Joe Biden's mental fitness was fine

00:17:40.480 and they were told that if we did not ignore the true starings in the face, we were conspiracy

00:17:45.620 theorists. Vice President Kamala Harris said Joe Biden was sharp as a tack. Americans should not be

00:17:53.220 left in the dark any longer. I think we deserve to hear the evidence for ourselves. Written

00:17:58.400 transcripts, of course, cannot capture hesitation, confusion, tone, or cognitive decline. The

00:18:05.220 government should not protect the political class from embarrassment. Transparency here is essential,

00:18:10.480 especially when questions involve presidential fitness, classified information, and unequal justice.

00:18:17.840 This information could prove crucial in proving the invalidity of Joe Biden's auto-pen pardons as well.

00:18:24.560 It's time to release the tapes and let the public decide.

00:18:28.740 I'm Roger Stone. You're listening to The Stone Zone.

00:19:15.000 Roger Stone. Where's Roger Stone?

00:19:17.280 Here's Roger Stone.

00:19:20.440 You're back in the Stone Zone.

00:19:22.060 Well, New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdami apparently believes that governing America's largest city is insufficient for his ambitions.

00:19:30.700 So while New Yorkers contend with crime, disorder, homelessness, deteriorating public services, crushing taxes, failing schools, and an exodus of business and productive citizens,

00:19:42.380 Mamdami has decided to audition for the role of international prosecutor.

00:19:46.500 Mamdami has announced that his administration is examining whether Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu can be arrested if he travels to New York for the United States General Assembly in September.

00:19:58.660 He is called Netanyahu a war criminal who belongs before the International Criminal Court in The Hague

00:20:04.840 And has consulted the city's legal advisors about what authority, if any, New York possesses to detain him

00:20:11.520 My good friend Sid Rosenberg was great on this

00:20:14.580 This is not serious governance

00:20:17.320 This is ideological theater performed at the expense of New York City's reputation, constitutional order, and a relationship with one of America's most important allies

00:20:27.220 New York City is not an independent nation. City Hall does not conduct American foreign policy.

00:20:34.720 The New York City Police Department is not Mandami's personal international law enforcement agency.

00:20:40.520 The mayor does not possess the authority to transform municipal law enforcement officers into agents of a foreign tribunal that the United States doesn't even recognize.

00:20:50.120 The United States is not party to the International Criminal Court.

00:20:54.260 American officials have repeatedly rejected its claimed jurisdictions over American citizens and leaders of country outside its treaty system. 0.95

00:21:02.640 Federal law, diplomatic protections, head of state immunity, and America's obligations as hosts of the United Nations all stand between Mamdami's rhetoric and the dangerous spectacle he appears eager to create.

00:21:16.960 New York Governor Kathy Hochul has previously said the mayor does not have the power to arrest Netanyahu.

00:21:22.840 United States Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz, a good friend of mine, correctly dismissed Mamdami's proposal as political theater.

00:21:30.980 Israeli Ambassador Danny Danone has also condemned the mayor's fixation on Netanyahu while New York faces domestic problems.

00:21:39.180 They recognize that Mamdami either does not understand or doesn't care to admit. 0.67

00:21:43.460 And that is the mayor cannot seize control of America's foreign relations merely because he discovered that an anti-Israel grandstanding attracts applause from the radical left.

00:21:55.620 The Stone Zone, entertaining and informative on the Red Apple Podcast Network.

00:22:01.960 this is the stone zone now get him his own it's the stone zone a man who's gone through hell

00:22:21.140 but he's kept going and he's smart and he's strong and people love him not everybody but

00:22:27.500 People love him and respect him.

00:22:28.980 Roger Stone.

00:22:30.020 Where's Roger Stone?

00:22:31.260 Here's Roger Stone.

00:22:34.580 Welcome back into the Stone Zone.

00:22:36.640 When I emerged from my Washington, D.C. hotel last Thursday,

00:22:41.160 I thought I was going to choke on the smoke, thick as pea soup,

00:22:45.780 and learned only then that the smoke came from fires in Canada.

00:22:50.580 Now President Donald Trump is putting America first again,

00:22:53.240 This time, by confronting Canada over trade policies that unfairly target American workers and manufacturers,

00:23:00.860 Trump has ordered a 50% tariff on a wide range of Canadian imports, including wine, dairy products, cement, and even hockey sticks.

00:23:11.380 These duties will take effect 30 days after the proclamation was signed.

00:23:14.840 The administration says Canada has also discriminated against American motor vehicles and auto parts by imposing special tariffs on U.S. products while treating goods from other countries more favorably.

00:23:28.040 President Trump is also authorized under the Tariff Act of 1930 to the level, the playing field.

00:23:34.840 These tariffs will apply even to covered goods that would normally qualify under the United States-Mexico-Canada agreement.

00:23:42.900 However, important imports such as energy, potash, certain fish, critical minerals,

00:23:48.580 and products already subject to separate national security tariffs will be exempted.

00:23:54.320 Under the Trump administration, America has rediscovered that foreign governments

00:23:57.780 cannot be allowed to penalize American companies while enjoying unrestricted access to U.S. markets.

00:24:05.220 The so-called free trade and free market consensus allowed our country to get hollowed out for decades.

00:24:11.460 It sounded great on paper, but we never really had free trade.

00:24:15.760 Under these heretical doctrines, Washington politicians accepted one-sided trade arrangements.

00:24:22.480 They destroyed the manufacturing base that created the middle class.

00:24:26.080 And we lost millions of jobs in the name of global cooperation.

00:24:31.340 We got poorer and our enemies got richer.

00:24:34.760 President Trump is sending a different message these days.

00:24:37.540 He understands that access to America's consumers is a privilege.

00:24:41.460 Not right.

00:24:42.960 Canada remains an important neighbor and ally,

00:24:45.020 but friendship does not require surrendering America's economic interests to our neighbors.

00:24:51.400 When another country discriminates against U.S. products,

00:24:54.420 the answer should be firm, immediate, and proportional.

00:24:58.540 These tariffs are designed to defend American manufacturing,

00:25:02.080 demand fair treatment, 0.58

00:25:03.620 and remind our trading partners that the era of America being taken as a sucker is over.

00:25:07.800 And now the president is threatening additional tariffs because they cannot manage their forests.

00:25:14.640 And because America is in cities as far flung as Detroit, Washington, D.C., not to mention New York City, are choking on thick smoke from Canadian wildfires.

00:25:26.220 Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has made a wise decision, announced that he's going to extend the National Guard mission in Washington, D.C. through January 20th of 2029.

00:25:37.040 For Americans who believe that public safety is the government's primary responsibility, this is basic common sense.

00:25:43.600 I was just in Washington, D.C.

00:25:45.700 I must say it has never seen it cleaner or safer than it is today.

00:25:50.180 The Guard was deployed after years of rising disorder, car theft, robberies, and violence in our nation's capital.

00:25:57.500 Since then, police statistics covering January through mid-July show that homicides are down 38%, robberies are down 18%, motor vehicle thefts are down 53%, property crimes are down 23%, and total crime overall is down 20%, compared with the exact same period last year.

00:26:20.800 National Guard leaders also report that troops have helped save more than 235 lives, provided over 530 medical assists, and reunited children with their families 27 times.

00:26:33.780 These are measurable results which show that out-of-control crime in Democrat-run cities is a policy choice, not a consequence of inequity or institutional racism or whatever other nonsense liberals may dream up.

00:26:49.860 Using the National Guard to fight crime in our nation's capital is money well spent, in my opinion.

00:26:55.780 Violent crime, stolen property, collapsing tourism, and unsafe streets carry enormous costs.

00:27:02.020 And when crime has stopped, ordinary people are able to prosper and thrive.

00:27:06.100 More people are willing to go out and patronize local businesses.

00:27:09.000 After all, Washington, D.C. is just not another city.

00:27:12.120 It is the seat of the federal government and a destination for millions of American families who want to celebrate our nation's history.

00:27:19.860 Some local Democrat politicians are complaining that uniformed officers are a bad look or bad

00:27:26.820 optics. I'll tell you what's a truly bad look, allowing the nation's capital to become a

00:27:32.000 dangerous hellscape while corrupt officials make excuses and line their pockets. Safety is not

00:27:38.160 authoritarianism. Abandoning citizens to preventable violence is a failure of leadership.

00:27:44.580 The National Guard is supporting law enforcement, protecting residents, and helping restore order.

00:27:50.620 Until local leaders can guarantee the same results on their own,

00:27:54.240 continuing the National Guard deployment is a no-brainer for the rule of law.

00:27:59.940 Meanwhile, Senator Rand Paul says that newly released federal documents are raising

00:28:04.340 disturbing questions about whether the FBI blocked border officials from questioning a

00:28:10.480 key figure connected to controversial coronavirus research in China.

00:28:15.560 Senator Rand Paul, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee,

00:28:18.360 says that the Customs and Border Protection flagged EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak

00:28:25.820 as an extremely high person of interest before he returned from China through New York's JFK

00:28:32.140 airport in February 2021. According to the documents, the Border Patrol officials were

00:28:38.760 prepared to question Daszak and search his electronic devices. Their concerns reportedly

00:28:44.880 included his long-standing relationship with the Wuhan Institute of Virology and his role in

00:28:53.160 overseeing federal grants for coronavirus research and the agency's belief that substantial funding

00:29:00.200 supported gain-of-fund research. But an internal email dated February 4, 2021, reportedly instructed

00:29:09.460 the Border Patrol not to stop him because the New York FBI office had requested that he be

00:29:15.320 allowed to pass on question. As a result, Senator Paul says, the planned questioning and search of

00:29:21.860 Dr. Zalek never happened. Now, I think this should concern every American. Think about it.

00:29:28.060 At the height of the global pandemic, federal officials had an opportunity to examine a man

00:29:32.780 deeply connected to research at the center of the COVID origin debate, and another federal

00:29:39.060 legislature allegedly shut that opportunity down. This was a cover-up. The deep state wanted the

00:29:47.260 official story to persist so that they could blame it on President Donald Trump in an attempt to

00:29:52.340 railroad him, which eventually led to the election steal of 2020. The public deserves to know who

00:29:58.680 made that decision, why it was made, whether evidence was lost. For years, so-called experts

00:30:04.820 in Washington, D.C., simply dismissed questions about possible laboratory origin as misinformation

00:30:11.520 or a conspiracy theory. The real scandal is how aggressively federal agencies protected

00:30:17.420 well-connected institutions and individuals from scrutiny. Congress, in my opinion,

00:30:23.060 subpoena all the officials involved, demands sworn testimony, and uncover who was responsible.

00:30:29.280 Those individuals should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. 0.80

00:30:33.180 Until the COVID-era criminals are put behind bars, there'll be nothing stopping them from unleashing another virus to cripple society, shut down our economy, and consolidate power for the globalist elites.

00:30:47.540 Now, a Republican congressman is demanding accountability after three major broadcast networks limited live coverage of President Donald Trump's historic July 16th address on election security. 0.78

00:31:00.680 Representative Buddy Carter of Georgia has asked the Federal Communications Commission to review whether ABC, NBC, and CBS fulfilled their obligation to serve the public interest.

00:31:12.640 ABC and NBC declined to carry the speech live on their primary television network while CBS joined late and cut away before the president finished.

00:31:21.820 All three of these networks, of course, carried the live address by President Joe Biden,

00:31:27.080 in which he questioned whether anyone in the country who disagreed with him politically was a dangerous extremist.

00:31:34.820 That they had no problem covered.

00:31:37.980 Congressman Carter says network executives had every right to criticize, analyze, or fact-check,

00:31:42.860 but not to decide that millions of Americans should prevent from hearing the president directly.

00:31:49.500 See, I think this distinction matters.

00:31:52.020 Public airways belong to the American people,

00:31:54.020 not corporate newsrooms dominated by liberal executives

00:31:57.940 who want to undermine President Trump at every turn.

00:32:02.000 Streaming the address online was no substitute for free, over-the-air television,

00:32:07.300 particularly for older, rural, and lower-income Americans

00:32:10.740 without dependable broadband access.

00:32:14.120 During the speech, President Trump announced the release of intelligence documents

00:32:18.040 that exposed real vulnerabilities involving our voting systems

00:32:22.120 and communist Chinese access to more than 220 million records of American voters,

00:32:29.600 foreign access to non-citizens on the voting rolls and election-rated investigations.

00:32:36.160 Americans should have been allowed to hear the evidence and decide for themselves,

00:32:38.960 but the fake nude decided it would be better for their agenda

00:32:42.280 if the American people were not able to hear President Trump speak.

00:32:46.080 This is obviously bigger than any one speech. When broadcasters suppress a presidential address because they dislike his subject or the messenger, they stop reporting the news and they assume the rule of propagandists and thought controllers.

00:33:01.220 The FCC should punish these networks for their shameful partisan gatekeeping and for shirking their public responsibilities.

00:33:10.780 Free speech means allowing citizens to hear compelling arguments, not allowing powerful media corporations to decide which facts the public is permitted to consider.

00:33:22.580 I hope that the FCC will take this matter seriously.

00:33:25.780 Meanwhile, the Trump administration is putting taxpayers first by freezing more than $1 billion in Medicaid payments to California and Minnesota, while federal officials investigate widespread fraud.

00:33:38.940 Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says the money will remain frozen until Governor and would-be President Gavin Newsom and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz provide basic documentation proving claims made in states were in fact legitimate.

00:33:56.100 This is not partisan politics. This is common sense. This is taxpayer money, your money.

00:34:05.060 Federal officials are withholding roughly $867 million from California and more than $200 million from Minnesota

00:34:13.280 after identifying suspicious claims, missing documentation, questionable providers, and payments allegedly connected to people who are already dead.

00:34:22.680 The CMS Administrator, Dr. Mehmet Oz, said investigators also found providers who failed background checks, failed site visits, or had previously been flagged by fraud detection systems.

00:34:36.660 In California, hundreds of millions of dollars were tied to rapidly growing in-home support programs and claims involving individuals whose immigration status already didn't satisfy federal requirements for the receipt of the funds.

00:34:51.780 Minnesota recently removed roughly 3,000 providers from its Medicaid system, raising further questions about nearly $200 million in related claims.

00:35:06.380 I guess for too long, Washington looked the other way at this fraud, afraid that cracking down on it would look inhumane or that they would be called racist.

00:35:16.140 Checks went out first, investigations were halted by cowardly bureaucrats, and taxpayers were left holding the bag.

00:35:25.640 Democrats are happy to keep the fraud spigot going to paper over their migrant constituencies and other dregs they rely on for votes.

00:35:33.460 Trump administration is reversing that failed approach by using data analysis, artificial intelligence, and financial reviews before releasing any more money.

00:35:44.460 Medicaid exists to help vulnerable Americans, not to enrich scammers and illegals.

00:35:50.240 California and Minnesota can receive the funding by proving the claims were lawful.

00:35:54.660 Until then, withholding taxpayer dollars is irresponsible and long overdue.

00:36:01.740 I'm Roger Stone. You're listening to The Stone Zone.

00:36:04.180 Don't go away, because we'll be back with more on the other side.

00:36:08.680 The Stone Zone. Entertaining and informative.

00:36:11.980 On the Red Apple Podcast Network.

00:36:25.660 This is the Stone Zone.

00:36:28.160 Now, get in the zone.

00:36:30.100 It's the Stone Zone.

00:36:32.060 A man who's gone through hell, but he's kept going, and he's smart, and he's strong, and people love him.

00:36:39.080 Not everybody, but people love him and respect him.

00:36:41.620 Roger Stone. Where's Roger Stone?

00:36:44.020 Here's Roger Stone.

00:36:47.000 You're back in the Stone Zone.

00:36:49.140 While it appears that Big Brother is here,

00:36:52.340 a vast network of automated license plate reading cameras

00:36:55.940 is quietly recording for America's drive,

00:36:58.720 and outrage is growing as a result.

00:37:01.800 A crowdsourced map identified more than 117,000

00:37:05.720 so-called flock cameras nationwide,

00:37:08.960 most of which were instilled with little or no public awareness or announcement.

00:37:13.260 These devices photograph vehicles, capture license plates, and record the exact time and location of travel.

00:37:19.840 When combined, those records can reveal where someone works, worships, shops, or visits, or who they associate with.

00:37:27.640 Advanced versions of the cameras can capture additional information.

00:37:30.980 Police departments say the cameras help recover stolen vehicles, locate missing people, and capture violent suspects.

00:37:38.320 In Denver, officials credit the technology with arresting hundreds and recover more than 250 stolen vehicles.

00:37:46.380 We're being sold that an open-air panoptical under our own noses keeps us safe, but our safety is coming at the expense of forfeiting our core rights.

00:37:57.340 We should always be wary whenever the government gains the power to track innocent citizens without probable cause.

00:38:04.920 Unlike speed cameras, these systems record every passing vehicle, even when the driver is not suspected of any crime.

00:38:12.880 Reports have documented improper searches, inaccurate alerts that led to innocent motorists being detained,

00:38:18.820 and outside agencies accessing locally collected data without authorization.

00:38:25.920 Flock Safety, which operates most of the documented cameras, denies that this technology continues mass surveillance.

00:38:34.100 and the group has painted critics as potential extremist threats or conspiracy theorists.

00:38:40.480 It's not out of the realm of possibility that these cameras could be used to profile

00:38:44.420 block critics before long. The company says that records are usually deleted after 30 days

00:38:50.340 and searches can be audited. Still, communities across the country are canceling contracts or

00:38:56.320 imposing restrictions over privacy, data sharing, and security concerns.

00:39:02.620 Law enforcement needs effective tools, but public safety cannot become an excuse for building a nationwide database tracking all of America's movements.

00:39:13.260 We don't need more police that receive more resources and better training.

00:39:21.680 We don't need law enforcement replaced with surveillance tools.

00:39:25.240 People are right for opposing these flock cameras because the last thing our country needs to be is more like China.

00:39:32.160 Meanwhile, the main Democrats appear ready to nominate former state Senate President Troy Jackson for the U.S. Senate as their replacement for the disgraced Graham Plattner.

00:39:42.500 Jackson's record is far from spotless.

00:39:44.680 His history raises serious questions about his temperament, judgment and political opportunism.

00:39:49.420 opportunism. More than two dozen people described Jackson as a volatile leader who shouted at

00:39:55.220 colleagues, cursed during meetings, threw a water battle, and anger and intimidated lawmakers who

00:40:01.360 refused to support his agenda. One confrontation reportedly became so heated that the Speaker of

00:40:07.380 the Maine House ordered him out of her office. Troy Jackson's campaign admits there were moments

00:40:12.800 when his frustration got the better of him, but dismisses the evidence as evidence of passion.

00:40:19.140 That excuse would never satisfy the media if this man was a Republican and he berated female colleagues.

00:40:26.740 Jackson's policy record is just as revealing.

00:40:29.880 He began his career opposing abortion and same-sex marriage.

00:40:33.400 As his ambition grew inside the Democrat Party, he abandoned those positions and moved sharply left.

00:40:39.400 He now supports Medicaid for all, abolishing ICE, and a federal right to abortion.

00:40:46.460 After once receiving perfect rating from the Maine Right to Life,

00:40:50.680 he later earned perfect scores from Planned Parenthood

00:40:53.100 and helped pass a law allowing abortion at any stage of pregnancy,

00:40:57.800 including late-term abortion.

00:41:00.520 Jackson calls this his personal growth,

00:41:02.600 but voters are more likely to see what it is, rank opportunism.

00:41:06.580 This is a politician changing convictions to match the demands

00:41:10.100 of a far-left political establishment.

00:41:13.280 Main Senate race will help determine control of the Congress.

00:41:16.940 Senator Susan Collins is the only Republican senator representing a blue state up in 2026.

00:41:25.480 Main Senate race will help determine whether Republicans continue to hold the majority.

00:41:31.300 Democrats are already in a large hole after Plattner's embarrassing implosion.

00:41:36.120 Troy Jackson is not likely to be the answer to their woes.

00:41:38.720 I think Susan Collins' chances to win re-election are looking better than ever.

00:41:44.800 Meanwhile, new national polling shows that there is an uptick in the approval of President Donald Trump

00:41:50.480 and that both parties continue to be held in low regard by the American voters.

00:41:56.200 Those who believe that the 2026 elections are over and the Democrats can declare victory

00:42:00.800 are what we call panicans, far too early to make that decision.

00:42:05.400 Democrats have nothing to run on other than their hatred for Donald J. Trump.

00:42:09.320 Donald Trump has a solid record of performance, closing our borders, ending wars, and bringing down the cost of everyday living.

00:42:18.480 Now, I'm not telling you that food prices or gas prices are as low as they will be before October,

00:42:23.940 but they are on their way down, and they will come down further.

00:42:27.060 Anyone throwing in the towel is an amateur or a panicking.

00:42:31.260 I'm Roger Stone. Thanks for joining us today in the Stone Zone.
