The StoneZONE with Roger Stone - Rep. Tim Burchett ｜ 07-03-25

00:00:00.000 this is the stone zone now get in the zone it's the stone zone here's roger stone

00:00:16.560 and we're back in the stone zone i admit it we're a little punchy because

00:00:22.340 we were up all night and into the early hours of the morning watching the progress of the

00:00:28.360 president's big beautiful bill which has now passed the u.s house of representatives joining

00:00:34.840 me now is one of my favorite members of congress tim burchett from tennessee's second district that's

00:00:41.820 east tennessee tim is a rock rib ronald reagan conservative a bulldog champion of the taxpayers

00:00:48.600 of both tennessee and america and a donald trump america first loyalist don't ever confuse tim

00:00:56.440 burchett with the politician uh he is a true patriot and uh joins us now to talk about this

00:01:02.580 historic experience tim welcome back into the stone zone thank you mr stone it is always a pleasure

00:01:09.480 and i say this with all sincerity i wish my mom and daddy were alive to hear me on your show they

00:01:16.100 would just be floored that i know somebody of your stature and i mean that with all sincerity you

00:01:21.560 carried the water for this country behind the scenes for a lot of years and you continue to do

00:01:26.860 it and i just and i'm very grateful for you brother i really am well that that's very kind our listeners

00:01:33.060 out there in stone zone land love your country wisdom we get a lot of great comments whenever

00:01:38.120 you're on because you have a an amazing tendency to just tell it like it is uh but last night had to be

00:01:44.840 both nerve-wracking and exciting you were a part of history uh i'm very familiar with the big beautiful

00:01:52.280 bill for weeks now i have been beating back the disinformation regarding uh how the bill treats

00:01:59.200 social security how it treats medicaid what it does and does not do this is the blueprint for

00:02:06.360 donald trump's plan to take america into the golden age i think we would all recognize that the bill was

00:02:12.340 not perfect from the get-go no piece of legislation ever is but it got increasingly better uh and those

00:02:20.260 critics who say well it doesn't do enough to reduce spending they're right but this isn't the vehicle

00:02:26.680 for that is the way i look no no you're correct i mean i guess it's like a a nice car um it depends

00:02:35.200 on who's driving it and it just so happens that donald j trump is driving this this this car or this train

00:02:41.000 and and you know i had a lot of questions and i'll be honest with you i was not in favor of the bill i

00:02:46.840 um because i didn't have the answers that i needed and president trump took two hours yesterday if you

00:02:54.320 can believe that and him and jd vance who i'm continue to be i wasn't a jd vance fan really but um

00:03:01.340 after closed doors meetings with both of them and it's two two dadgum hours mr stone and he um

00:03:08.920 and you've been in a room with trump but the thing that that always that got me and i left as i left

00:03:14.620 i was telling some people some staffers this they were what do you think and i said well

00:03:18.220 14 people in a room just fastballing questions to the president and you know he answered every

00:03:25.860 dadgum one of them but the thing i like about him is mr stone more and more is when he doesn't have

00:03:31.680 the answer you know you always hear about this bravado trump bravado or whatever i don't know

00:03:37.100 um uh you know i guess it's okay to be cocky when you're when you're right and you know what

00:03:42.500 you're talking about and he knew what the heck he was talking about on every issue and the thing i

00:03:46.900 like the most though when he didn't know he would turn to one of his experts call him my name and say

00:03:53.220 what's the answer to this and you know i've you've been in meetings with executives before and many times

00:03:58.760 a lot more than i have and world leaders but a lot of them will just either lie to you or try to

00:04:03.420 buffalo you to get you the you know to to think they know the answer and their arrogance won't

00:04:09.120 allow them to say i don't know but that's not the way it was with trump and he and jd would fill in

00:04:15.120 um in certain areas and provide support when needed and uh you know he had people from the treasury he had

00:04:23.460 his all his people that you see on television in there and um and and i'll just be honest with you

00:04:30.040 i left after i left there i was i was in his camp on the bill because it he convinced me that

00:04:35.720 economically it's the right thing to do and and many other reasons why as well well i i think it's

00:04:43.560 because he comes not from the world of politics but from the world of business and in business you

00:04:48.880 can't buffalo people trying to make a deal with they want real answers trump operates uh like a

00:04:54.340 businessman he likes facts hard facts and hard realities and i agree with you on your assessment

00:05:00.920 of jd vance i was not always a jd fans fan but i am today he's been remarkably effective behind the

00:05:08.900 scenes particularly uh in the confirmation of some of the president's better but more controversial

00:05:14.640 cabinet picks uh he doesn't get much credit for that but he was really the guy up on capitol hill

00:05:20.680 rounding up the necessary votes jawboning certain republicans i think jd vance is doing a terrific job

00:05:27.260 and uh i think the american people are going to learn more and more about that over time i do have to

00:05:32.960 ask you uh last time we spoke uh we were talking about your bill uh it came as a shock to me but i

00:05:40.100 checked it out it's absolutely true millions of dollars from the american taxpayers flowing to the

00:05:46.940 taliban uh and you you brought this up you've had legislation you introduced a no tax dollars for

00:05:54.540 the terrorist act what is the status of that oh thank you so much for asking about that and you're

00:06:00.080 correct it's 40 million a week and the state department who i have no love for i never have

00:06:05.120 is as even i have a document a five-page document says we've sent close to five billion now it's probably

00:06:10.800 more than that because it's a several weeks old it is past the house it is in the senate and i'm hoping

00:06:17.820 that um senator foone will allow it to move through because um uh senator sheehy former navy seal and

00:06:27.500 tommy tuberville another straight talker are both working on the bill and i'm gonna i'm gonna try to get

00:06:34.440 with them the first of the week and just and and and urge them along because i think the country

00:06:40.100 supports things like that it's time to stop that nonsense that corruption that has come out of the

00:06:45.800 biden administration it's just it's it's it's almost overwhelming mr stone to be honest with you

00:06:51.760 because of the amount of out and right just stealing and i think that it i think what really

00:06:59.600 what really is is become of it i think the money's flowing back to washington dc and i think it's

00:07:04.500 flowing into the pockets of members of congress and i hope they get caught and i don't care what

00:07:09.760 party they're in i hope they put them in handcuffs and drag them out of this building kicking and

00:07:14.720 screaming i think you're exactly right as you know elon musk alluded to this back when he was running the

00:07:21.460 doge operation i mean usaid which by the way was never enacted by congress it was created through

00:07:28.500 executive order by president john f kennedy and it had a legitimate purpose at the time it was supposed

00:07:33.700 to fund governments in our hemisphere in in central and south america who were fighting communism a lot

00:07:41.140 easier to talk to people with a full belly than when they're hungry uh it had a very good and i think

00:07:45.960 legitimate purpose when it started but it morphed into a slush fund for the radical left and we were

00:07:52.660 funding terrorism we were funding color revolutions we were funding impeachments uh we were funding 0.71

00:07:59.920 all kinds of crazy dei programs uh the numbers boggle the mind uh and the folks at aid usa id they seem

00:08:09.420 to believe they answered to no one that they were they were a government unto themselves i give big

00:08:14.360 credit for to secretary of state marco rubio and to the president of course for now defunding this

00:08:20.700 massive leftist uh uh slush fund i mean if you're a democrat you haven't had a very good couple weeks

00:08:28.320 usa id is defunded the dow industrial average is skyrocketing the u.s supreme court has finally

00:08:37.180 limited the power of rogue leftist district judges iran's nuclear weapons development program

00:08:45.700 has been smashed zoran mamdami is the new face of the democrat party a man who talks about seizing

00:08:54.440 the means of productions i think he gets that right out of marks and angles uh a man who talks about

00:09:00.860 defunding the police and opening the jails i kid you not the republican national committee has five times

00:09:07.400 more cash on hand than the democrat national committee which has to evidently go borrow to stay afloat

00:09:13.680 criminal illegal aliens are being deported uh with greater efficiency by that great patriot tom homan

00:09:21.740 president trump is brokering peace all over whether it's between uh the congo and rwanda uh whether

00:09:28.840 whether it is uh whether it is uh any of these world crises that he is bringing peace to states are

00:09:38.080 beginning to defund planned parenthood 128 of your democrat colleagues actually voted against

00:09:43.920 impeaching donald trump and white males like david hogg are being kicked out of the democrat party like

00:09:49.920 dogs uh if you're a democrat there's not much to smile about these days no sir and it goes down to 0.50

00:09:56.360 one person donald j trump if if could you imagine if joe biden was in the white house right now

00:10:02.620 i guarantee you american boots would be on the ground and young boys and girls would be losing

00:10:08.240 their life in another endless war i just can't stress that enough of his ability to to um to fix a

00:10:17.240 problem i i was asked by a reporter i said early on about his negotiating skills i said the guy deals

00:10:24.340 with teamsters in new york city i said i think he can handle the middle east i mean seriously there's no

00:10:30.160 question no there's no question he's handled that deal and he handles it with with honestly a little

00:10:36.880 a lot of grace really considering and when he dropped his f-bomb last week about uh about the

00:10:43.660 middle east i was in the um i talked to a lot of democrats and especially in the gym you know there's

00:10:50.360 no cameras nobody's staff nobody around and they they thought that was a very a very accurate statement

00:10:57.600 and it needed to be said and uh you know and i think it summed it up i know franklin graham doesn't

00:11:03.460 like all his cursing and i'm frankly i'm not a fan of it but it it was it was accurate you can't say

00:11:09.520 anything other than it was accurate and he uh he called it and if it wasn't for him we would be in a

00:11:15.020 heart we would be in another endless war and you know peace is breaking out everywhere and the only

00:11:21.220 people that are winning in the so-called democrat party are marxist because and my theory on that is is

00:11:26.740 that they you can say what you want to about it but this is my theory i think that the um the

00:11:33.540 democrats that are in power realize that they're going to lose everything and they they they fear

00:11:41.380 more losing their job than losing the country so they'll go with that far left that is just a very

00:11:47.140 slim uh very slim portion of of their numbers and they'll sacrifice their moderate their moderate um

00:11:56.100 members on the altar of of of liberalism marxist woke wokeism really and um and that's exactly what

00:12:04.020 they're doing you're going to see a lot of those people are going to get beat and and republicans

00:12:08.540 and i hope what i hope is i hope that we have mega republicans that we start electing and quit with

00:12:14.440 this shenanigans that some of our former leadership did by undercutting um those type of of leaders

00:12:21.120 because that's exactly what happened in the past you know i'd go to these recruiting things that

00:12:25.980 look like we were recruiting for hooters waitresses and not members of congress and and and that america 0.78

00:12:33.400 did not respond very well to that and um and that's why we have such a and one other thing and i'll and

00:12:38.540 i'll shut up because it's your show but the um you know i keep saying this our approval rating is in 0.58

00:12:44.600 the dumps or congress is for good reason but donald trump's is soaring and the reason is he listened

00:12:52.400 to america and he's doing what they said strong border strong economy strong military america bows

00:12:59.780 to no one in this world right now we are the envy of the world once again and it's because of trump

00:13:05.900 and if we do not acknowledge those issues we will continue to be in a three or four person majority

00:13:11.860 or possibly even lose the majority to the marxist yeah i i think we're going to defy history as you

00:13:18.140 know traditionally the party in power loses seats in the off-year elections but traditionally

00:13:24.240 businessmen don't get elected president of the united states uh all of our presidents have been

00:13:28.980 governors or senators or congressmen or generals so i think trump all of the of the of the uh the the

00:13:37.420 standard rules of american politics the conventional wisdom if you will i think all of that is does not

00:13:43.300 apply to donald j trump presidents aren't defeated uh and then lose a disputed election and return to

00:13:50.320 the white house with one exception grover cleveland a democrat who happened to be like donald trump from

00:13:56.020 new york actually last of the great conservative democrats a truly great president uh it is uh it is uh

00:14:02.680 amazing how trump defies all the rules and changes the the the whole game side of american politics

00:14:10.840 i honestly think that when he survived an assassin's bullet in butler pennsylvania that that it gave him

00:14:20.260 a new urgency not just a new serenity because i found him much calmer and much more determined after

00:14:26.360 that but it also gave him a much greater sense of urgency i think he fully understands

00:14:32.500 that he has four years to save this country and he is not wasting not a single minute of it

00:14:40.360 having spoken to him a couple times extraordinarily late at night or i should say early in the morning

00:14:45.520 he is not wasting a single minute of his time uh in this herculean effort to like turn around an ocean liner

00:14:53.580 to change the entire direction of the country to return us to our fundamental constitutional roots

00:14:59.380 uh and to secure that golden age that you and i have talked so much about folks if you're just tuning in

00:15:05.360 we're talking to congressman tim birchett from east tennessee uh he is a former mayor of knox county

00:15:12.900 he is a bulldog defender of the american taxpayers as well as the taxpayers of tennessee

00:15:18.460 he also is a guy who tells it exactly like it is you're in the stone zone with tim and i whatever you do

00:15:24.440 please don't touch that dial because we'll be right back for a bit more this is the stone zone with roger stone

00:15:32.440 this is the stone zone now get in the zone it's the stone zone

00:15:53.940 here's roger stone and we're back in the stone zone uh congressman tim birchett and i are celebrating

00:16:01.220 the passage by the u.s house of the big beautiful bill uh and tim i saw on x that you received a

00:16:08.920 copy of my book the man who killed kennedy the case against lbj i hope you're enjoying the book it

00:16:14.120 certainly is an outline of the uh shenanigans of the deep state i i spoke earlier in the show

00:16:20.260 about the revelations from cia director john radcliffe yesterday implicating former cia director

00:16:26.300 john brennan uh former national security advisor james clapper uh and uh fbi director james comey

00:16:33.800 in orchestrating the greatest single dirty trick in american political history the russian collusion

00:16:41.520 hoax which was nothing less than an abuse of power in which they used the full authority of the united 0.67

00:16:46.980 states government and the extraordinary capability of our intelligence agencies to try to undo an

00:16:52.920 american election uh and remove a duly elected president so i guess my question to you is are we

00:16:59.060 ever going to see justice are any of these people who have engaged in a treasonous crime crime for which

00:17:05.920 there is no statute of limitations do you think we will ever see anybody held accountable i doubt it

00:17:12.020 i doubt it i just um because this town is so crooked mr stone and they protect their own

00:17:18.780 and um i just uh it it infuriates me that's why that's why i know there's a god in heaven

00:17:26.040 because there will be justice one day i just don't think it's going to be on this side of the grave for

00:17:30.400 most of them i think they're going to lawyer up and yeah they'll get some small potatoes like you saw

00:17:35.020 at the um the the auto pen debacle at the white house but um you know some small potatoes get

00:17:42.860 get smashed but the reality is i just don't see it but what i i would hope that would drive americans to

00:17:51.540 the polls and say we've got to fix this and you all would hold us accountable i mean i'll vote for it

00:17:57.760 i'll push it but i'm not you know i'm not on the judiciary committee and i'm not one of those that's

00:18:03.680 and you know that that's a little out of my realm but i would hope that we would all i can do is

00:18:09.260 raise hell about it and hopefully um jamie comer will bring it up in our committee and then we will

00:18:14.620 have it as a um and then we will push the justice department to do something about it so i would hope

00:18:20.720 that that we could do that because once you do one the rest will you know they'll lawyer up and

00:18:25.300 they'll start squealing they'll squeal like stuck pigs and dadgummit that's that's that's that would 1.00

00:18:31.160 be a good start i would think i i completely and totally agree so you have a new podcast uh

00:18:37.620 entitled uh unscripted where you'll be peering behind the veil in washington dc how will those

00:18:43.240 listening be able to access your show and uh what have you planned for the the initial episode

00:18:48.360 yes sir it's on youtube and rumble and um i would honestly love to get you on there i are you in new

00:18:55.820 york is that where you are i am actually in south florida at this moment but i'd be honored to be on

00:19:00.640 we can arrange that i would i would love to oh i'd go to south florida see uh honestly i could i

00:19:06.360 could see myself my wife and daughter love the love the sun and they love the surf so that would

00:19:11.980 be a great thing and i would um but i but yeah it's on um youtube and rumble and we are um you know i'm

00:19:18.860 not i'm not real polished and i'm not a i guess i'm not a wordsmith like you and so it's um it's it's

00:19:25.400 uh i stumble through it a little bit but people seem to enjoy it and they get a lot from it and

00:19:30.760 we're going to start getting some people and making some people uncomfortable and that's that's my goal

00:19:36.320 i you know and i they'll give me a little script but i never follow it i don't know why i pay those

00:19:41.340 people to do any of that stuff because i just i get in there and get ticked off about something and

00:19:45.800 i'll start railing on it and we'll start digging and that's that's what i intend to do with this thing

00:19:51.180 i you know i it's it's sometimes kind of difficult to get people that are interesting

00:19:56.220 because it seems like everybody's got a podcast but it's a great way to meet to um reach out to

00:20:00.900 the younger folks and i think as older politicians like yourself and myself you know it's not all

00:20:06.960 bluegrass and barbecue anymore it is a um it's a um it's it's it's the social media it's it's these

00:20:15.480 radio shows it's um it's you know it's all the all the all of the above and to leave any of that

00:20:21.080 on the table i think is where republicans miss out because the democrats are a little bit ahead

00:20:25.580 of us on that kind of stuff all right we have to we have to end it there i want to thank our guest

00:20:30.040 uh tim birchett a man who tells it like it is and also thank all of you for joining us today

00:20:34.640 in the stone zone we'll see you tomorrow on the fourth of july god bless you and godspeed
