00:00:30.660 The Stone Zone, entertaining and informative on the Red Apple Podcast Network.
00:00:37.500 And I'm Jake Novak filling in for Roger Stone, but Roger Stone joins us on the phone.
00:00:42.140 And Roger, last night we were talking and you talked about here on the air, here on the Stone Zone, 0.99
00:00:47.920 and you talked about how the Panikins are getting overboard here with their fears about the midterms being a disaster. 0.94
00:00:55.040 And no sooner did we talk about it. But then Harry Enten, who is as close to a an honest journalist to CNN is ever going to get, had this to say, I think, pretty much at the same moment we were talking. 0.85
00:01:07.240 Listen to this, Roger. I think the warning sign is this. Democrats have an edge.
00:01:11.680 But compared to what we see historically, it's really not that big of a lead.
00:01:16.260 I mean, just take a look here. OK, this is Congress, national June polls, Dem leads.
00:01:20.520 and this is NBC News midterm years with the GOP press look at this they're up by five points but
00:01:27.120 that's half the lead they had back in 2018 when it was 10 points and less than half the lead they
00:01:33.120 had back in 2006 with 11 points when Democrats took back the house in both of those years and
00:01:38.280 now the Democratic lead is on a single hand one two three four five so there you go Roger uh this
00:01:45.160 is a winnable midterm election for the Republicans isn't it no there's no question Jake first of all
00:01:50.200 Let me thank you for keeping my seat warm there at the Stone Zone.
00:01:53.640 I appreciate it, because I've been in Washington, D.C., Disneyland on the Potomac, taking care of some business.
00:02:00.080 But I think there's a number of things people here don't understand.
00:02:03.000 First of all, Republicans have an enormous financial advantage.
00:02:07.080 We have a war chest today sitting around $6 billion.
00:02:10.440 By election day, it'll be closer to $8 billion to spend on the midterm elections at all levels, state, federal, and local.
00:02:18.480 Democrats are in debt.
00:02:20.200 They're still in debt from the Kamala Harris fiasco.
00:02:24.280 So that is an advantage.
00:02:27.120 Redistricting, which originally, I must admit, I thought would be a watch.
00:02:32.480 Redistricting has turned out to be an advantage.
00:02:34.820 The Supreme Court decision that said you cannot use race as one of the factors in redistricting really dealt a significant blow to the Democrats, particularly in the South.
00:02:48.000 I think that's worth perhaps as many as 19 additional seats to become competitive in the South.
00:02:55.520 So there are two advantages.
00:02:57.240 And then lastly, we have the fact that the Democrats, they have a lot of gripes.
00:03:01.780 They have a lot of complaints.
00:03:03.240 They have Trump derangement syndrome.
00:03:06.060 What they don't have is a platform.
00:03:08.140 They have no plan to create jobs.
00:03:10.260 They have no plan to bring down food prices.
00:03:12.720 They have no plan to expand the availability of affordable housing.
00:03:16.560 they literally have no plans so they're pushing uh a negative agenda if you will we don't like
00:03:24.120 trump that's not enough to win a midterm election in my opinion you know they also don't have a
00:03:29.200 leader either and i don't know how important that is for midterm elections because we're not
00:03:32.880 not enough you know it's not a political it's not a presidential election but um i'm sure you of all
00:03:38.260 people have noticed there is no real front runner for the democrats right now uh even for president
00:03:43.960 I mean, you could say Gavin Newsom, you could say Kamala Harris, but I think it's a real stretch to call them a frontrunner, even among Democrats, let alone the rest of the country.
00:03:52.980 Is that a problem for them, too?
00:03:55.400 It's funny you should mention this.
00:03:56.880 I was with Doug Davenport today, one of the leading Republican strategists in our party, a guy whose real expertise has been mentioned politics and county delegates, one of the most knowledgeable guys I know.
00:04:08.620 And he says to me, you know, their real problem is, who's their frontrunner?
00:04:12.600 Or is it Rahm Emanuel, the former mayor of Chicago?
00:04:15.760 Or is it AOC? 1.00
00:04:17.360 Or maybe, God, would this be great, it's Kamala Harris coming back for another shot.
00:04:23.340 Or Gavin Newsom.
00:04:24.300 Now, if you're Gavin Newsom, I'm kind of reminded of Mike Dukakis in a way.
00:04:28.080 What's your slogan?
00:04:29.140 He'll do for America what he's done for California?
00:04:31.960 It's not much of a slogan.
00:04:32.900 If you look at California, you have a state with near-perfect weather year-round.
00:04:37.760 And one of the most, I mean, physically beautiful, naturally beautiful places on earth.
00:04:43.240 And they have turned it into the world's largest indoor-outdoor toilet.
00:04:47.460 I mean, it's gross.
00:04:49.520 I would say my wife and I used to go rent a home in Santa Monica or Venice Beach for a month every summer.
00:04:59.660 I wouldn't go to either one of those places now because you'd have to beat back the homeless people and the drug addicts
00:05:05.520 and people who were defecating in the streets
00:05:08.620 in order to get into a restaurant or a store. 0.97
00:05:13.180 So it's pathetic what they have done, 0.76
00:05:15.400 but that's what the high-tax, 0.84
00:05:17.780 soft-run crime policies of Gavin Newsom have done.
00:05:21.440 We haven't even gotten to the corruption yet.
00:05:23.900 Millions and millions and millions of dollars
00:05:26.040 in states like California,
00:05:27.820 states like Minnesota,
00:05:29.280 states like Michigan,
00:05:31.220 they're literally just missing.
00:05:33.060 it's a it is a it's a massive scandal if people think for example in minnesota the the somali
00:05:41.640 community based uh scandals where millions of dollars of our tax dollars have disappeared
00:05:47.360 if people don't think that will be an issue in the upcoming elections i think they're very wrong
00:05:52.200 yeah you know um and and and of course kamal harris is also from california i mean it's it's
00:05:59.440 it's the fruit of the poison tree really when you think about it uh the thing about Kamala Harris
00:06:04.380 is and this is something if you remember in the first two years after the 2016 elections there
00:06:09.100 was also a push to rerun Hillary Clinton as well I remember I wrote an editorial at the time
00:06:14.040 for CNBC explaining why you know you just can't do that and the last person who didn't get the
00:06:19.320 message after losing a presidential election was Adlai Stevenson do you know that after he lost in
00:06:24.000 52 and 56 he expected to be nominated again in 1960 you probably know that I mean the guy was
00:06:29.000 incredibly uh arrogant and and you know in a bubble but the point is when you lose a presidential
00:06:35.060 election in modern america that it's it's it's you can't really recover from that unless you know
00:06:42.260 you're i mean that's why somebody like richard nixon and donald trump are so incredibly unique
00:06:46.640 uh it's very very hard to recover from that especially if you don't have any kind of track
00:06:52.000 record or policy record like hamela harris doesn't have you know what i mean this is incredible that
00:06:57.220 she's even being considered yeah there's no reason to believe she would be a better candidate this
00:07:01.960 time than she was last time with her famous word salads she certainly has not gotten any smarter
00:07:07.980 that is true i will say i must have that i'm impressed jake with the fact that you know that
00:07:12.000 in 1960 eleanor roosevelt and joe rau so despised john f kennedy because he was an anti-communist
00:07:19.980 because he wasn't really a liberal um that they did try to get adelaide stevenson nominated for
00:07:25.320 a third time he already lost the presidency in 1952 in 1956 and yes they tried to get him
00:07:31.580 nominated a third time he's he's like the george mcgovern of the 50s yeah i mean he wouldn't stop
00:07:37.640 running uh incredible by the he had the best pr agent ever ever people really thought he was a
00:07:43.200 highly educated guy when he passed away they found like one book in his apartment and it was the
00:07:48.340 social register and he was just a complete fraud but anyway uh i want to get back to something you
00:07:52.520 talked about earlier which is the funding advantage that republicans have and that's for
00:07:56.720 sure true but that leads me to want to ask you about the growing scandal of solid evidence that
00:08:05.000 the democrats are getting foreign funding to their campaigns via places like act blue which admitted
00:08:10.900 act blue admitted that they did not vet a tremendous amount of the donations that they
00:08:16.020 funneled to the democrat party and there are still people out there by the way a lot of them
00:08:21.180 happen to be republicans who say that they found charges on their credit cards from act blue i mean
00:08:27.000 so last night we talked about the save america act that's a priority but we got to clean up these
00:08:32.060 these for the way i mean it didn't take long really for foreign governments to figure out
00:08:36.000 ways around whatever safeguards we have from them from from from investing in our campaigns
00:08:41.120 this is this is a massive scandal i'm glad that you that you footnoted this i spoke about it uh
00:08:47.400 I think it was Monday.
00:08:49.300 For people who aren't familiar, ActBlue is a payment processor.
00:08:53.520 And what they do is they allow people to make contributions using credit cards where they turn off the verification.
00:09:00.780 So you don't have to put in an address so that the card's authenticity is verified.
00:09:07.160 Or they allow people to give contributions with prepaid credit cards or through PayPal.
00:09:14.040 So what they're basically doing is they're flooding millions of dollars, largely foreign money, into the American political system, and they're attributing to donors who didn't really give any.
00:09:25.560 So like my friend James O'Keefe, formerly of Project Veritas, now with O'Keefe Media.
00:09:32.840 He goes to the homes of these people, knocks on the door, says, hey, Mrs. McGillicuddy, I'm James O'Keefe.
00:09:39.780 I'd like to ask you about these contributions you gave to Kamala Harris.
00:09:43.820 And Mrs. McGillicuddy says, what are you talking about?
00:09:45.700 She says, well, here's a list of the, you gave 22 times, and you gave 25 bucks each time.
00:09:52.340 And Mrs. McGillicuddy says, I don't know what you're talking about.
00:09:55.160 I don't even like Kamala Harris.
00:09:56.960 I haven't given any money.
00:09:58.440 Wait a minute, she says, you know, a long time ago, I think I gave 15 bucks to Hillary Clinton,
00:10:04.280 but that has to be decades ago.
00:10:07.260 This is very typical.
00:10:08.420 And they have, in the Senate races particularly, they have flooded money into all of these individual federal races that what we call smurfs.
00:10:20.540 That's a technical term.
00:10:22.140 These are people who don't really exist.
00:10:24.020 So sometimes the person who's the alleged donor, the address that they give is an address that doesn't exist.
00:10:31.320 The person does not exist.
00:10:32.660 Or other times, they're giving money in the name of someone else.
00:10:37.100 But when you go check with that person, if they're not scared by the glare of the cameras,
00:10:42.080 they tell you the truth, which is they didn't give the money.
00:10:44.820 This is a massive, multi-billion dollar scandal.
00:10:48.820 But here's the good news, Jake.
00:10:50.260 The woman who is the CEO of ActBlue, she made $350K last year.
00:10:57.600 So you think that that's going to lead to some revelations from her as far as I'm concerned?
00:11:04.440 Well, here's what I do know, and that is once the House Oversight Committee started investigating, all the lawyers and all the top executives at ActBlue almost immediately resigned and disappeared.
00:11:16.780 So I think this is a massive, massive campaign finance scandal, and I'm not sure what happens when they can't take this money in.
00:11:25.300 Right, and it's money laundering.
00:11:27.520 And by the way, what a great money laundering scam the people whose accounts are being used don't even know.
00:11:33.480 I mean, that's that's really helpful. You know, this reminds me of something, though, that also just really grinds my gears.
00:11:40.800 And I'm sure it does to you as well. Whenever we talk about these kinds of things, whether it's ballot box stuffing, ballot harvesting or stuff like ActBlue, you get this pat answer from the Democrats in the mainstream media.
00:11:53.220 They keep saying the same term every single time. There is no evidence of anything.
00:11:56.820 You know, there's also something called common sense. I'll share a little secret with you, although it's not really a secret with you and all the audience.
00:12:02.400 my great great grandfather Morris Eller was a Republican operative in Chicago he was also
00:12:08.840 probably and I know everyone thinks it's Meyer Lansky but remember Meyer Lansky never had his
00:12:13.100 own operation he worked for others he probably was the most successful and powerful Jewish mobster
00:12:17.860 in American history he had a tremendous operation and one of the things he did was not necessarily 0.90
00:12:22.960 vote rigging Roger but what he used to do is he would kidnap Democrat vote riggers on election
00:12:28.240 day put them up in a nice hotel at gunpoint and keep them in that hotel until the election was
00:12:33.260 over that's how he helped the republicans win elections it was kind of brilliant because there
00:12:36.640 was nothing they could get him on there was no paper fraud to look at my point is can we just
00:12:41.800 have common sense we all agree that winning elections is an item of value you're telling
00:12:45.940 me that there's no evidence that no one is trying to steal an item of value that would be the first
00:12:50.440 time in human history that there wasn't at least some attempt to steal something and there's always
00:12:54.820 a 20 percent or 10 percent um rate of theft no matter what it is no matter how well you guard it
00:12:59.940 i mean the the stretching of common sense that the mainstream media and the democrats demand of us
00:13:05.320 is no longer just a joke because this is serious i mean these are not just democrats and liberals
00:13:11.080 out there i refuse to call george soros and neville singham uh leftists they're not leftists
00:13:16.200 they're enemies of the united states they're not really political they just hate us there are
00:13:19.900 enemies it's got nothing they don't really i don't think they have a political philosophy other than
00:13:23.120 They hate the United States and they have financial interest in our in our failure.
00:13:27.140 This is not a joke. And this is a massive money laundering scheme.
00:13:31.500 I mean, every time there's an I.D. theft story about somebody's information getting out on the dark web, they break in the news about it.
00:13:37.420 But this they won't report no evidence. I mean, it stretches credulity and it's really annoying to me.
00:13:42.460 Well, first of all, Jake, now that I know your heritage, I like you even more.
00:13:45.720 But then secondarily, I'm reminded of this incredible interview that we just saw a couple weeks ago where Kristen Welker with NBC insists in her interview with Donald Trump that there's literally no evidence whatsoever of irregularities or anomalies in the 2020 election when, in fact, the president's right.
00:14:08.140 The evidence is all around us. It reminded me of when Leslie Stahl insisted with a huge amount of arrogance that Donald Trump's campaign was never spied on, which, of course, we now know, thanks to the declassified documents provided by Tulsa Gabbard, whose last day on the job, by the way, is tomorrow.
00:14:26.740 One of the reasons I'm in Washington is to see her is, you know, is absolutely untrue.
00:14:32.740 So the left, they can never admit the truth, not even not even to try to preserve their own credibility.
00:14:40.480 I think you may have been the one who said it. Instead of saying, well, it might have been some minor fraud, but it wasn't enough to actually change the results.
00:14:46.900 It's like, no, there was no fraud whatsoever. What are you talking about? You're a lunatic. You're you're a conspiracy theorist.
00:14:54.000 when the proof is all around us.
00:14:57.820 I mean, when more people vote in the city of Philadelphia
00:15:01.540 than are registered to vote,
00:15:03.000 I'd say that's proof of voter fraud.
00:15:05.280 What would you say?
00:15:06.220 Yeah, I mean, come on.
00:15:07.720 It's just, I didn't stop with the no evidence.
00:15:10.980 And it's just, you know, it's real arrogance.
00:15:13.220 Like they just, they don't understand that
00:15:14.960 this is a conversation the American people want to have
00:15:18.180 and they're just making it worse.
00:15:20.200 Roger, if you can stay with us after the break,
00:15:21.860 I'd like to get into another thing
00:15:23.180 that you talked about before,
00:15:24.480 which is the redistricting situation
00:15:26.060 and a strong belief I have
00:15:28.920 about the way that we need
00:15:30.200 to talk about it in this country
00:15:31.760 and another example
00:15:33.080 of how the mainstream media
00:15:34.060 is lying about it.
00:15:34.840 So if you stick with us,
00:15:35.700 we'll get into that here
00:15:36.760 on The Stone Zone.
00:15:53.180 have questions or concerns about your gambling or someone close to you please contact connects

00:16:04.920 operating agreement with iGaming Ontario and this is truly still the stone zone this evening because
00:16:12.740 we still have Roger Stone on the phone I'm Jake Novak sitting in the regular chair for Roger thank
00:16:17.440 you so much for the opportunity Roger if you if you will indulge me just for a minute because
00:16:21.520 you were talking about the redistricting and how you believe it went from being a wash for the
00:16:25.660 Republicans to now an advantage. I want to read you a paragraph, and I'm sorry I have to do this
00:16:29.580 because this is a paragraph from CNN.com, which I think gets to the heart of the dishonest
00:16:35.660 packaging of this whole redistricting thing. Here it is. Now, this is about actually a story that's
00:16:41.680 not so great for the Republicans. The Georgia legislature has decided not to go ahead with
00:16:45.720 redistricting, which is a mistake. But here's the headline, the lead paragraph. Georgia's
00:16:50.860 Republican legislative leaders on Wednesday rejected Governor Brian Kemp's call to redraw
00:16:56.040 congressional and legislative districts during a special session, citing concerns about moving
00:17:01.980 too quickly after. Here's the key phrase after a U.S. Supreme Court decision weakened Federal
00:17:08.500 Voting Rights Act protections for minority voters. And, you know, Roger, you know why this grinds my
00:17:13.880 gears? Because to me, this is the greatest act, the redistricting thing here and the the destruction
00:17:20.140 of and the erasing of these racially gerrymandered districts, I believe, is one of the greatest 0.82
00:17:26.700 liberating chances for black Americans since either at least the Emancipation Proclamation 0.85
00:17:31.740 or the 1964 Civil Rights Act, because this is feudalism, Roger. 0.89
00:17:37.780 These black candidates or the people who represent these black gerrymandered districts know 0.97
00:17:41.760 they don't have to do a darn thing, especially economically, for their districts. 0.98
00:17:46.300 And so guess what?
00:17:47.420 They don't.
00:17:48.020 the idea that this is somehow taking away a protection protection from what so they can
00:17:52.240 continue to be serfs i mean to me this is the big problem here america doesn't realize that 0.97
00:17:57.040 these gerrymandered districts are a huge reason for the economic backwardness of too many black
00:18:03.680 americans i'm sure you agree well jake i don't get my news from cnn for the same reason i don't 0.77
00:18:09.360 drink out of the toilet i mean uh this is you're you're absolutely right here here's the problem
00:18:15.460 for the democrats first of all the word gerrymander which is spelled g-e-r-r-y gerrymander
00:18:20.900 is named after a democrat state legislator in in massachusetts they have already gerrymandered
00:18:27.840 any place they can so they've rigged the districts in california illinois new york pennsylvania just
00:18:33.240 for examples there are no new districts for them to invent in fact they had to have these racial
00:18:39.420 divisions to come up with these weirdly shaped districts in order to preserve the rigged maps.
00:18:46.380 Now the Supreme Court won't allow that anymore. So you have in states like Florida, Texas,
00:18:52.140 Tennessee, Alabama, for example, places where you can have a fairer, more equitable congressional
00:18:59.740 redistricting. And that means Republicans are likely to pick up seats. There is no place else
00:19:04.200 for them to steal seats they've been engaged in the same activity for decades uh and now they're
00:19:09.760 vexing there's no weakening of voting rights protections that is a falsehood but you're right 0.54
00:19:16.240 now what you won't have are safe districts where where minority incumbents don't even have to show
00:19:22.460 up for work because they know that they will be re-elected now you have more competitive districts
00:19:28.200 and that in itself is a plus for the american people and the opposite is true because what you
00:19:33.880 want to be in america is a swing voter and that increases the chances of you being catered to
00:19:40.340 and listened to by tenfold so it's actually not a weakening of black voting rights in this country
00:19:46.340 it's going to strengthen them suddenly they will be in districts where they could decide an election
00:19:51.460 that's what you want to be you know billionaires in america for example they don't all vote one
00:19:56.400 way they're not all democrats are all republican and that's because they're smart that's how they
00:20:00.480 got to be billionaires they know that they're a swing vote so are some other groups catholics in
00:20:05.820 america have traditionally been swing voters uh black people becoming swing voters in this country
