00:01:07.640 And I'm Jake Novak with you again on this Thursday evening in for Roger Stone.

00:01:12.260 But Roger Stone will once again be joining us at the bottom of the hour.

00:01:15.260 So please stay tuned for that.

00:01:17.620 And it was quite the day in Chicago today, wasn't it?

00:01:22.900 Yes and no.

00:01:24.660 Not really the big dedication of, you know, actually.

00:01:28.400 of course for the overwhelming majority of americans this was nothing if i asked 10 people

00:01:36.480 if they cared about the opening of the obama presidential library would i find

00:01:42.040 nine that would i find nine who say yes eight seven i mean no i probably wouldn't find anyone

00:01:49.560 who really cared all that much and of course the proof will be in the pudding there might

00:01:53.560 be some people who say oh yes i did they watch the coverage no are they actually going to go

00:01:59.340 to this presidential library no probably not but for perspective of understanding the political

00:02:08.000 landscape in this country i do think it's important not because i think this is something

00:02:11.340 that really the opening of the library means nothing to no american really and not because

00:02:19.180 it's obama let's be honest presidential libraries and some of them are interesting by the way uh to

00:02:25.440 visit but the truth is it's not on the bucket list of any americans that i know including a lot

00:02:32.040 who are history buffs and things like that um but it's an important political

00:02:38.360 test today was an important political temperature taking of america because

00:02:43.460 people came to this event because in case you haven't noticed and i talked about this with

00:02:52.260 roger stone last night the democrats are devoid of a national leader now that isn't an emergency

00:02:58.840 as far as the midterm elections go for them it would help if they had one

00:03:03.380 but they're basically being run by a politburo at the dnc right now

00:03:09.440 and sometimes that kind of a group can work well for something like a midterm election but when

00:03:15.260 you're running for president you need a national figure that people can focus on by the way this

00:03:20.940 is true of almost anything that you discuss in public affairs the truth is when you really

00:03:27.740 think about it very often it's policies and technologies and things like that that really

00:03:34.880 changed the world not so much an individual person there are so but there are quite a few

00:03:40.540 individual people who are responsible for some of these things and it's exciting when we can draw a

00:03:44.540 direct line many of you who are listening to many of the stations that are airing the stone zone

00:03:50.400 right now know that i've been hosting and putting together a special group of one minute and 30

00:03:56.940 second snippets called freedom 250 the decisions that made america and i could do more than 250

00:04:06.060 but they've been running and of course on sunday nights on many of these stations there's a live

00:04:10.480 show where i go in more depth than more than the 30 seconds in one minute about two or three of

00:04:15.080 those decisions and we talk we have guests and we talk about all those things and and it's a lot of

00:04:19.360 fun but it's very important in news and in politics to have a personality to work with

00:04:26.540 and this isn't just a case of psychology you know you might have someone say like we it would be

00:04:32.380 best if we just had a group of experts who quietly made great decisions and everything wasn't all

00:04:38.800 about a personality and that way we wouldn't get so many narcissists running for office and

00:04:42.640 And that I understand from a psychological point of view.

00:04:47.720 But understand something, and I'm very loathe to ever go against the wisdom of the founding fathers.

00:04:55.640 I'm very loathe to go against them.

00:04:58.480 Because they understood something about leadership in this country.

00:05:03.100 They understood that we needed to have a personality.

00:05:06.480 We needed a human being that ultimately would take the biggest responsibilities.

00:05:12.640 They wanted to have something like a king, but without the king's irrevocable powers.

00:05:21.600 And that's how they came up with this idea of a president.

00:05:25.140 Not a prime minister like they had in Britain where they knew quietly a party could oust him.

00:05:31.940 They wanted a president who was directly elected, as close to directly elected as the people.

00:05:37.140 Yes, of course, there was an electoral college, but a president who was chosen by the people.

00:05:41.100 I guess that's the best way to put it.

00:05:42.640 not elected by Congress, like a parliament, like a like a prime minister.

00:05:48.460 And so you have the situation where Barack Obama is the last Democrat leader in this country who has a popular following.

00:05:57.080 Joe Biden, as I've been as I wrote the day he started running for president in 2019 officially and all the way through his presidency,

00:06:04.100 there is no such thing as a Joe Biden voter. No such thing.

00:06:08.920 It was just anti-Trump voters. There were just anti-Trump voters.

00:06:12.640 Nobody voted for Joe Biden. OK, I don't even think Jill Biden voted for Joe Biden.

00:06:17.960 She voted for herself to be first lady. But. So Barack Obama remains the last individual person who led the party. 0.99

00:06:25.480 And as I, again, talked about with Roger Stone last night, he's not as popular as he once was.

00:06:30.300 Today's big ceremony today with a lot of older celebrities showing up and a lot of politicians showing up, notwithstanding,

00:06:37.700 there's a large movement of radical leftist democrats in this party who have no allegiance

00:06:45.080 to barack obama and don't really like him all that much but for some of the older relatively

00:06:52.120 older democrats they needed to show up to this thing because there's a scramble to be the

00:06:57.840 personality leader the personal leader of this party and to be more specifically

00:07:02.140 the democrat front runner for president in 2028 and at least at this point getting barack obama

00:07:08.760 support seems to be required at least for now it may not it may not be a year from now

00:07:15.500 if this leftist movement gets even more traction but for now you had people like gavin newsom

00:07:22.360 there you had a lot of the characters there who are hoping for president obama's approval

00:07:28.960 now i could go into the speech with barack obama specifically i am going to play i am going to play

00:07:35.180 one soundbite in a second but something i want everyone to remember about his speeches and this

00:07:40.780 is really dovetails nicely into the point i'm going to make after you hear a soundbite from

00:07:44.940 the speech barack obama is just as divisive and demonizing as anybody has ever been in american

00:07:53.140 politics and for those of you who hate donald trump and think he's such a meanie that includes

00:07:57.640 donald trump i can't remember any speech that barack obama has made as president or as a

00:08:02.900 candidate for president where he isn't demonizing someone he just does it it with somewhat nicer

00:08:08.300 and fancier rhetoric somewhat but he is a demonizer in chief even more than president trump is because

00:08:16.300 president trump takes pot shots he goes on social media and uses nasty nicknames and things like

00:08:21.740 that and we can have another discussion one day i would like to have a discussion with non-politicians

00:08:25.860 about that i don't want to hear from any politician about how president trump could be nicer because

00:08:30.240 politicians are the last people who should be lecturing people about behavior and rhetoric in

00:08:34.420 this country it turned out one of the biggest republican critics of president trump's behavior 0.97

00:08:38.860 ben sass if you remember him the senator turned out to be kind of a crook

00:08:43.280 he got appointed to be the president the chancellor or the president of the head of

00:08:49.300 the university of florida and was giving his friends super high salaries to teach online

00:08:53.720 classes once a week if that but he was the paragon of virtue and morality and better behavior better

00:09:00.600 that was his that was his catchphrase but here you have another aspect of barack obama's speech

00:09:09.280 today and one that was true in a lot of his other speeches is he very often demonizes people

00:09:15.900 by mapping out things that he says they did that he is guilty of now listen to this this

00:09:26.180 is barack obama on the transfer of power here he is speaking today about that listen to this

00:09:30.660 carefully a belief in the peaceful transfer of power after the people have spoken in fair and

00:09:39.980 free elections recognizing that in a large complicated society like ours no group or

00:09:45.720 faction gets its way a hundred percent of the time and a belief that qualities of character

00:09:55.280 honesty integrity kindness compassion so says the man the peaceful transfer of power with honesty

00:10:06.820 and compassion so says the man who set up and bolstered the russia collusion hoax against

00:10:13.620 donald trump which wasn't just a crime against donald trump if it were just a crime against

00:10:19.380 donald trump that would be pretty bad that would certainly be exactly the opposite of what barack

00:10:25.100 obama is talking about with the peaceful transfer of power so no the democrats didn't encourage a

00:10:31.920 bunch of people to go storm the capitol before donald trump was inaugurated in january of 2017

00:10:38.120 but they did something much worse not just to donald trump again if it were just politician

00:10:43.540 versus politician whatever it's a dirty business and donald trump believe me he can take it

00:10:48.180 but the russia collusion hoax tore this country apart

00:10:53.920 it tore some republicans apart too because there were a lot of republicans that i know for example

00:10:59.760 who begrudgingly supported donald trump in 2016 and then when they they fell for a little bit of

00:11:05.200 the russia collusion hooks and these were people who had made their careers opposing soviet russia

00:11:10.000 and continued to make their careers i think honorably warning people about vladimir putin

00:11:15.780 and it was a little hard for them to not react emotionally to what looked like evidence for

00:11:22.560 five seconds although to me it never looked legit to me but okay i i've been duped before myself

00:11:28.920 about other things so by the way that is an important thing to do uh one of the things

00:11:34.460 that's really important really really smart and probably mentally sound people will do in their

00:11:41.620 lives is to admit that they can be duped sometimes and be fooled if you if you don't think you can

00:11:47.080 ever be fooled then you're probably being fooled right now but that said this is barack obama he

00:11:53.240 does this all the time and hypocrisy is part of politics but still this is the man who bolstered

00:11:59.700 a very dangerous russia collusion hoax which damaged our intelligence community

00:12:03.620 damaged the relationships between people and families

00:12:07.820 damaged the very body politic of this country much more than january 6th even if you believe 0.72

00:12:15.560 that was some kind of an atrocity did much more we're talking about a nuclear power enemy here

00:12:23.140 in russia and they had a significant percentage of the country believing that russia had 0.75

00:12:29.080 manipulated our election which is just ludicrous did you see some of the things that russia tried

00:12:33.280 to put on social media in 2016 is laughably bad and that's barack obama 0.95

00:12:40.980 and to me this man is much more of a demonizer and divider than donald trump ever was 0.97

00:12:49.500 and his speech was filled with other hypocrisies and again hypocrisy is endemic to politics you 0.97

00:12:57.000 can't have politics without hypocrisy it's part of the deal but it doesn't mean i have to like it 0.64

00:13:03.740 when i hear it and the hypocrisy over i mean for barack obama to say the peaceful transfer of power

00:13:10.540 i mean where does he get off we all know that he manipulated this russia collusion hoax they got

00:13:16.760 together after the election to try to figure out a way to undermine the trump presidency

00:13:20.840 and if it destroyed the intelligence community and if it ripped the country apart who cares

00:13:27.640 who cares and they try to compare that to president trump giving a speech on january 6

00:13:36.480 and uh false claims that he told people to go storm the capitol which he never did

00:13:40.800 and even the bbc had to admit they falsely edited the tape of it to make it sound like he did

00:13:45.020 really really just shameful stuff from this guy and if you think i say that about all democrats

00:13:52.500 you're wrong i i defy you to find speeches from bill clinton where he really spends a significant

00:14:00.540 amount of time trashing america he didn't do that he was an uplifter in a lot of ways

00:14:06.920 jimmy carter was a downer didn't demonize america but he tried to shame us a few times

00:14:14.000 Maybe even a lot. So there are some other Democrats who've done it. But Barack Obama takes the cake.

00:14:21.540 All right. When we come back, I want to talk about something really disturbing.

00:14:25.500 I talked about it a little bit last night, this very disturbing congressional election and congressional candidate we have here in New York and something that even a far leftist Democrat group said about her.

00:14:35.040 When we come back here on The Stone Zone, the Stone Zone, entertaining and informative on the Red Apple Podcast Network.

00:14:44.000 And I'm Jake Novak filling in for Roger Stone.

00:14:46.460 Just a few more minutes and we'll be joined by Roger Stone.

00:14:50.200 As I've been raising the red flag over for the last several weeks, we have a congressional election here in New York.

00:14:57.720 One particular one where the five term Latino congressman representing mostly a Harlem based district.

00:15:06.040 Antonio Espallot is going up against a far leftist.

00:15:10.060 And it's really calling her a leftist is really a gift to her. 0.88

00:15:13.600 She's basically a terrorist supporter. And if you think I'm stretching when I say that about Dari Elisa Chevalier, just listen to what we heard from a liberal New York political club. 0.61

00:15:24.220 This is the Broadway Democrats. The Broadway Democrats came out with a statement today about this race.

00:15:29.660 It's in the 13th district here in New York. And the Broadway Democrats are a far, far left group.

00:15:36.360 In fact, they begin their. They begin their statement by saying they're going to endorse Espaya, but they also say right away, quote, we usually support the younger, more progressive candidate, but we cannot do this in this race.

00:15:50.560 And it's not even close. That is because at their own endorsement meeting, in other words, when they had the candidates come and try to talk them into endorsing them, Chevalier refused, refused.

00:16:03.080 She didn't defer. She refused to condemn Hamas and the October 7th attacks.

00:16:09.660 She point blank refused to do it.

00:16:12.860 And instead, she decided to turn it into another attack on Israel.

00:16:16.660 Now, there was a report that came out and turned out to be true that on October 8th,

00:16:21.580 which is notably before Israel responded to the October 7th attacks.

00:16:26.040 And at October 8th, the very moment that more Israelis were being killed, raped and tortured,

00:16:31.740 there was a big rally here in new york to celebrate the hamas attack and darilisa was

00:16:38.540 there chevalier was there here's some audio from that we just got a some audio and video that had

00:16:44.940 not been uh published yesterday until until just now of what was being said at this rally and she's

00:16:51.280 right in the front row as this guy's saying this listen to this a safer ontario means more police

00:16:56.300 and prosecutors making sure my card doesn't get stolen it means building new jails to keep

00:17:01.360 criminals behind bars. And it

00:17:03.400 means there's no need to worry when I play

00:17:05.460 at the park. We're making every

00:17:07.420 corner of Ontario safer to make

00:17:23.740 Less than 24 hours

00:17:25.460 ago on the land,

00:17:27.120 from the sea and from the

00:17:29.360 air, the people of the Gaza 0.97

00:17:31.080 Yeah, they attacked a bunch of people at a music concert and defenseless civilians in a kibbutz. 0.88

00:17:43.120 And they're all cheering like it's some kind of great military victory. 0.98

00:17:46.680 The cowardly attack by monsters.

00:17:49.400 She's she's cheering so loud you can barely hear the rest of this guy's comments.

00:17:55.020 The the Broadway Democrats, I mean, this is a group that would vote for Stalin if they had the chance,

00:17:59.520 has decided that this is a bridge too far for them.

00:18:04.160 And they're going to endorse Antonio Espaya.

00:18:08.940 This is just crazy. 0.98

00:18:11.140 The Democrats are committing suicide here. 0.99

00:18:12.800 They've gone so crazy that, especially in New York, 0.99

00:18:15.400 and this is how Mom Donnie got elected, don't be fooled.

00:18:18.220 Especially in New York, Democrats have decided that anyone who hates Trump the most

00:18:21.620 and a radical Islamist terrorist must hate him more than anyone else is worth their vote.

00:18:25.780 Hopefully they'll wake up from this in this particular election.

00:18:28.760 All right, Roger Stone joins us when we come back.

00:18:30.380 I'm Jake Novak.

00:18:39.600 The Stone Zone.

00:18:41.560 Entertaining and informative.

00:18:43.520 On the Red Apple Podcast Network.

00:18:46.920 And I'm Jake Novak in for Roger Stone.

00:18:49.080 But Roger Stone joins us.

00:18:50.820 And first, Roger, I've got to give you credit.

00:18:53.160 A couple of days ago when I was filling in for you and you called in,

00:18:56.280 And you were probably one of the first people on a national platform to note that there were all these contractors, many of them minority contractors, who have been stiffed by the Obama library.

00:19:08.960 It's getting a little bit more attention now, but I guess you're not surprised that former President Obama didn't say anything about that today in his speech, are you?

00:19:19.040 Yeah, no, it's really extraordinary.

00:19:20.380 Barack Obama seems to skate all of the, not only the massive crimes in which he was involved, but now this temple to diversity that they've built in Chicago, how ironic that the people who are being hurt are minority-owned tradesmen and construction companies, the people who this was supposed to be empowering, the people who were supposed to help.

00:19:48.640 But look, we now know, I saw Tulsi Gabbard today.

00:19:51.780 I'm in Washington, as you know.

00:19:53.460 She's getting an on-the-ground report right from Washington, D.C. today on the Stone Zone.

00:19:58.860 I saw Tulsi Gabbard today, the outgoing director of national intelligence.

00:20:03.780 As you know, she has said definitively that there was a seditious conspiracy

00:20:08.780 born in a White House meeting in 2016, chaired by Barack Obama himself,

00:20:14.560 in which he and Joe Biden and Susan Rice, the National Security Advisor,

00:20:20.400 and John Brennan, the CIA Director, and the Islamic Convert,

00:20:24.420 James Comey, the FBI Director, and General James Clapper,

00:20:30.180 then the Director of National Intelligence,

00:20:32.640 cooked up the entire Russian collusion hoax.

00:20:37.160 They called it specifically in that meeting, they referred to it as the Clinton Plan.

00:20:43.100 So we now know that there was a seditious conspiracy to remove a duly elected president.

00:20:49.960 The country suffered through three years of it.

00:20:52.620 I suffered through it particularly because along with President Trump himself and his family and General Michael Flynn, I was targeted in this investigation.

00:21:02.680 Not just because I did anything wrong, but in order to try to pressure me to testify falsely against President Donald Trump.

00:21:11.400 They wanted me to say falsely that I had informed the president in advance about the WikiLeaks disclosures regarding Hillary Clinton.

00:21:21.020 It is it was fake then. It's fake now. It's false. Then it was false now.

00:21:25.540 But that was their plan. And now, despite the fact that all of this is exposed, Barack Obama continues to be unscathed.

00:21:35.740 But in fact, I think you should be prosecuted.

00:21:37.940 That was my lead this evening, Roger. And not only did I mention that, but I played a soundbite from Barack Obama where he admonished the crowd to respect the peaceful transfer of power.

00:21:50.300 I mean, listen, we both know hypocrisy is endemic to politics. I get that. But I mean, there are levels here.

00:21:56.360 I mean, this is an outrageous thing. The fact that I mean, we're such a we're such a divided country that no one can say that it is now an objective fact that this guy put together not only a plot to hurt President Trump and people like you, but, you know, the harm the country suffered because of this Russia collusion.

00:22:16.040 hoax you know there were families torn apart by this the intelligence community which didn't have

00:22:20.640 a lot of collateral left to lose roger lost more over this right i mean this was a real burning

00:22:26.580 down of the house and he had the audacity to use his favorite word he had the audacity to lecture

00:22:33.380 us today about the peaceful transfer of power that was my lead this evening yeah no very very wise on

00:22:39.900 your part look i met yesterday on capitol hill one of the reasons i'm in washington i met with

00:22:45.100 aides to Senator Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, who told me

00:22:50.420 shockingly that there are still substantially more documents that are classified that would

00:22:58.460 document that there was indeed foreign interference in the 2016 election, the foreign interference

00:23:04.900 by a foreign country, but the foreign country was not trying to help Donald Trump, the foreign

00:23:11.640 country in question, which you can guess about, starts with an R, was trying to actually help

00:23:16.880 Hillary Clinton. I mean, she had already sold them 80% of the control of American uranium, 1.00

00:23:22.720 as documented by the New York Times. So why not? The Russians, just like everyone else,

00:23:28.500 I think, in the world stage, did not think that Donald Trump could be elected. They

00:23:32.980 really didn't see the Trump phenomena coming. They didn't realize that by 2016,

00:23:40.280 The American people, they were tired of the Clintons and the Bushes.

00:23:44.420 They were tired of the Republicans and the Democrats.

00:23:47.020 They were tired of Congress and the media, and they wanted something new.

00:23:51.400 They wanted a reform president.

00:23:54.120 They wanted an outsider, somebody untied to the mistakes of the past.

00:23:59.960 And that man was Donald Trump, and they never took him seriously.

00:24:04.120 They thought he was a caricature.

00:24:05.780 They thought he was a cartoon figure.

00:24:07.700 After all, the Clintons had all this extensive presidential campaign experience.

00:24:12.820 Bill had run twice. 0.98

00:24:14.400 Hillary was running for her second time.

00:24:16.460 They both worked earlier in their career for George McGovern.

00:24:19.600 They knew all about how this works.

00:24:21.580 And Trump was, let's face it, an amateur in the sense of he'd never run for president before.

00:24:26.580 And therefore, they were shocked when he was elected.

00:24:30.300 Shocked.

00:24:30.980 And they had to come up with an excuse.

00:24:32.320 and the excuse could not be that they just got outworked and outfoxed and outmaneuvered by

00:24:37.580 Donald Trump. So they had to invent the Russian collusion hoax, and it threw the country into

00:24:43.280 three years of turmoil. And the gutless, feckless, weak-kneed Republicans kept saying,

00:24:50.220 oh, let Robert Mueller do his job. There was no job to do. There was no probable cause.

00:24:55.800 There was no predicate under which they should have opened this investigation. The whole thing

00:25:01.120 was as we say in new york a fugazi you know um roger i was an executive producer at cnbc in 2016

00:25:09.240 i was also i was running larry kudlow's show and i was also the senior editorial columnist for uh

00:25:15.520 cnbc and i wrote an editorial at the end of may they published it on the first of june where i

00:25:20.400 said listen trump's going to win this and i wrote specific reasons why one of them was and a big

00:25:25.440 part of it was he's running a better campaign yes there's not as much fancy organization to it and

00:25:30.960 they've had a couple of different managers already and the whole thing but it's a better campaign

00:25:34.840 and i realized a few months later maybe even years later that that was the massive sin that i

00:25:42.160 committed not only did i predict he was going to win and at that point they couldn't have thought

00:25:45.580 i was right so they can't because they didn't really hate me about that but the fact that i

00:25:49.820 was saying look this isn't just a fluke or a crazy thing like you just said this was actually a better

00:25:55.640 campaign for a time when america is sick of career politicians and things like that i wanted to ask

00:26:01.900 you just as someone who's run a lot of campaigns and been behind a lot of this kind of stuff

00:26:05.780 it's a rare chance to talk to someone with your expertise if you had the same response i did when

00:26:10.960 i saw the hillary campaign in 2016 i was thinking to myself she's actually married at least on paper

00:26:16.480 to a guy who ran good campaigns i mean bill clinton liked campaigning and seemed to enjoy

00:26:21.740 being among the people he clearly enjoyed being among some people a little too much that's another

00:26:25.480 story but and here he had his wife not only clearly not comfortable doing that but remember

00:26:31.660 that famous picture of her at the chipotle when they were taking a break across the country

00:26:35.360 and she didn't want to be recognized and she's behind the dark glasses i mean if that had been

00:26:39.180 bill he would have been behind the counter taking selfies with all the workers loving every minute

00:26:43.460 of it i mean were you as shocked as i was by the fact that she clearly didn't take any lessons from

00:26:48.720 a guy who was pretty good at it who was actually who was at least in name her husband well first

00:26:54.820 Well, let's point out that Bill Clinton never got 50% plus percent of the vote in any of his presidential campaigns. 1.00

00:27:01.460 But he got a lot of pussy. 0.97

00:27:02.660 And he was able to cobble together a plurality of the vote only because Ross Perot ran two times siphoning votes from Republicans. 0.99

00:27:16.360 So, you know, so much for his brilliant political prowess.

00:27:21.200 Richard Nixon, who was an introvert and in some ways not the greatest candidate of all time,

00:27:26.620 he still won the greatest landslide in American political history.

00:27:31.360 So the difference, though, is that Bill, let's face it, he was a lovable rogue.

00:27:36.600 He was a charming rogue.

00:27:38.600 Even though I didn't like his politics, I have to admit there was something about him I found entertaining and endearing.

00:27:45.460 Whereas it's very clear that Hillary Clinton did not like people.

00:27:51.160 If you read my book, The Clinton's War on Women, it's a famous White House memo that goes out when she's first lady, goes out to the entire White House staff.

00:27:59.540 It says, if you encounter the first lady in the hallways or within the old executive office building, you are not to ever look her in the eye, nor are you to address her unless she addresses you.

00:28:15.080 This is someone who doesn't like people, and that is a crucial element of being a decent candidate.

00:28:24.440 You have to have some personal appeal.

00:28:28.500 And it's apparently contagious.

00:28:30.200 There was a similar memo for Kamala Harris when she was attorney general.

00:28:33.180 Remember when she walked into the office? 0.97

00:28:34.960 You weren't supposed to look her in the eye.

00:28:36.720 Same deal. Incredible.

00:28:40.200 No, they have no people skills.

00:28:43.880 Bill had them.

00:28:45.080 She had none of them. She was the ice queen. And you remember the very famous quote where she's yelling at her own people and says, you guys need to straighten this campaign out or we're all going to hang. 1.00

00:28:56.620 Well, she lost, but nobody's hung yet, even though that is the penalty for seditious treason.

00:29:03.240 you know we talked yesterday about how there is no real leader yet for the democratic party and

00:29:10.240 you know it always grinds my gears to call it democratic party because they ought to try

00:29:15.580 democracy once in a while they haven't in quite some time there's such an anti-democratic

00:29:19.540 institution i mean they just don't seem to believe in the vote not not just for the national

00:29:23.400 elections but for their own primaries but that aside getting back to this obama library dedication

00:29:28.800 today um a lot of people were there hoping to get uh his approval to to be the heir apparent

00:29:36.160 gavin newsom was there a bunch of other people who would love to have his endorsement now we

00:29:40.060 also talked last night about how the obama endorsement in the democrat party is not as

00:29:44.580 valuable it was a couple years ago because the far leftists who don't really like him are getting

00:29:48.880 more power every day that said though they were there to kiss the ring they weren't there for the

00:29:53.980 to you know to go see the cubs game after the dedication they certainly weren't there to do

00:29:58.460 anything at the library um do you think obama is going to at least try to play kingmaker for 2028

00:30:05.180 well he certainly played kingmaker uh in in 2024 look joe biden was forced out of the race he did

00:30:13.440 not want to go i actually believe based on some of my democrat sources that on the sunday that he

00:30:19.520 that he quote unquote withdrew he was he was heavily sedated look at that letter they

00:30:24.940 relaced at about four o'clock. It's not on White House stationery. That doesn't even look like his

00:30:29.540 signature. So I don't think he had any intention of withdrawing from the race. I think the Obamas,

00:30:35.680 combined with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Piglosi, they forced him out of the race against his will.

00:30:41.440 Now, he wasn't up to running for re-election. That's a separate question. But it's just strange

00:30:47.200 that the party that now is parading the streets screaming, no kings, no kings, nominated a

00:30:52.700 candidate for president that no democrat primary voter no democrat caucus voter no democrat voter

00:30:59.240 anywhere ever actually voted for she was anointed as a queen and as the nominee of their party so

00:31:06.740 don't lecture us about democracy small d there is no democracy in your party i'll go even further

00:31:13.680 the democrats haven't had a truly open presidential primary since 2008 now i'll give them a pass on

00:31:20.760 2012 they had an incumbent president but in 2016 they rigged it for hillary against bernie in 2020

00:31:26.940 joe biden fails miserably in the first two contests and then they get jim clyburn to come

00:31:32.360 out and say basically blacks won't vote for anybody else but joe biden and they cleared the

00:31:36.380 field for him 2024 they they replace him with i mean it's been a really long time since they've

00:31:41.800 had an open primary let me play a little bit of a hypothetical with you but i don't think it's

00:31:46.280 much of a stretch if the democrats don't take the house and don't take the senate in other words

00:31:51.800 they completely lose these midterms um will they be forced into an actual real open primary by an

00:31:58.360 insurgent group that will point to the existing dnc politburo and say you guys got to go

00:32:02.940 they might but the problem is that the rank and file constituency of the party

00:32:08.280 uh is no longer in any way centrist the words moderate democrat that's an oxymoron that

00:32:15.880 literally no longer exists so their party is dominated by marxists socialists so-called

00:32:23.080 progressives mcgovern 72 mcgovern 72 is one of my colleagues here doug davenport the well-known

00:32:30.260 political analyst who i was talking about only last night uh points out uh points out so i don't

00:32:36.520 think their party can be saved i don't think they're capable of of producing a moderate centrist

00:32:44.520 nominee and uh look look at the field i mean you got jb pritzker i mean please i met this guy on

00:32:52.360 the corner of 32nd 33rd and 33rd fourth street i mean when he sits around the house he sits around

00:32:59.900 the house if you know what i mean quote the great al yankovic the weird al yankovic yes uh i mean

00:33:04.640 the guy's got he's so fat he's got his own zip code yeah but you know he's never going to get

00:33:08.380 nominated he's and neither will josh shapiro i mean any of the and i'll call them ethnically

00:33:13.720 jewish because i don't know how actively jewish and by the way jb pritzker's older sister was a

00:33:18.040 classmate of my mother's in chicago she knows the family well i don't know how actively jewish these

00:33:23.220 people are but um the fact is if they think that the democratic party is going to and the rank and

00:33:29.460 file democrat primary voter is going to vote for any jewish candidate for president i mean i i there's 0.69

00:33:35.740 a fool and their money are soon parted where can we get in on getting jb's money just like 0.91

00:33:40.700 bloomberg's money back in 2020 remember i mean that's that's easy money for anyone who wants to 0.97

00:33:44.960 take it because there's no no results possible i don't think this is precisely how they got tim

00:33:49.860 waltz for vice president i think uh kamala harris's original intention was to take little 0.93

00:33:55.100 josh shapiro and then barack obama told her no that was unacceptable that if he did that 0.97

00:34:01.000 given the muslim american dominance in the democrat party in minnesota and michigan uh

00:34:08.400 They had to take Tim Walz or somebody other than Josh Shapiro, that a Jewish candidate would would be a turnoff to voters in that state. 0.66

00:34:17.940 So I don't think they appropriately vetted Walz, because if they had, they would have known that he was lying about his military service. 0.86

00:34:25.740 He was lying about being a football coach. He lied about quite a bit.

00:34:29.880 But I do know for a fact they tried to get the the the senator from probably the governor of Tennessee, the governor of North Carolina.

00:34:37.980 Both of them turned it down because they correctly saw it as a one way ticket to defeat.

00:34:44.040 And that's how they got stuck with with Tim Walsh providing the most radical ticket they've ever had.

00:34:50.300 We had to take a quick break. But when we come back, Roger, just like we have like a couple of minutes left.

00:34:54.000 I'd love to ask you a specific question about something you're an expert on, and that's the 1972 election because you alluded to it before.

00:35:00.320 But I have a specific question for you about that when we come back on The Stone Zone.

00:35:03.300 I'm Jake Novak, in for Roger Stone, but Roger's here, and we'll be right back with him after this break.

00:35:08.240 The Stone Zone, entertaining and informative on the Red Apple Podcast Network.

00:35:15.340 And Roger Stone is with us.

00:35:16.620 I'm Jake Novak filling in in the chair for Roger.

00:35:18.920 Roger's on the phone with us.

00:35:19.940 And, Roger, I wanted to spend the last couple of minutes asking you something specifically about 1972 and that presidential election.

00:35:26.400 You know, as you noted earlier, it was the biggest landslide in history.

00:35:31.080 Richard Nixon winning 49 out of 50 states, even by larger margins than Ronald Reagan did in 84.

00:35:37.680 But the thing is, a lot of people point to the moment of the Democrat National Convention that year.

00:35:44.120 It was in Miami.

00:35:45.560 It ran crazy over time.

00:35:47.240 I think McGovern gave his acceptance speech at like 2 a.m.

00:35:49.860 eastern time or something like that and more than as bad as that was what was even worse is that

00:35:55.220 people in america watched it and it just looked like a conga line of freaks all of the things

00:35:59.540 that we see now in the democrat party they tried him out for size they gave him a little bit of an

00:36:05.240 airing at that 72 convention and the democrats saw that and learned from it why don't they learn

00:36:12.320 from it now it can't just be roger because the elections are ostensibly closer and there's a

00:36:17.340 different paradigm as far as that's concerned why don't they learn today like they learn from 72

00:36:23.300 in your opinion well you remember 1972 we successfully labeled the democrat party as a

00:36:29.680 party of acid amnesty and abortion yep uh and so it is true it has been a radical left party since

00:36:36.900 them governed takeover that's kind of the beginning of the downfall of the old democrat party because

00:36:42.220 In 1968, I had dinner tonight with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s daughter-in-law, who's a brilliant woman and a good friend.

00:36:51.980 But this idea that Bobby Kennedy would have been nominated in 1968 had he not been assassinated is unfortunately untrue, or that he would have been elected in a general election.

00:37:03.020 Here's my point. John F. Kennedy carried every deep state south, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, and so on. Robert Kennedy could carry none of those. And the 68 convention is the last convention controlled by sane people, Mayor Richard Daley, Lyndon Johnson, and so on.

00:37:23.660 After that, the McGovern wing of the party takes over that party, and it's really never come back.

00:37:32.280 Clinton briefly kind of bridged that gap, but only briefly.

00:37:37.480 And today they're not capable of producing a moderate nominee.

00:37:42.060 Who are their candidates?

00:37:43.840 Gavin Newsom, this guy is three steps ahead of the posse when it comes to massive corruption going on, even as we speak.

00:37:51.560 So I'm still very optimistic, not only about the midterms, but also about the next presidential election.

00:37:57.680 Yeah, I mean, even MS Now asked Newsom at the Obama thing today about that corruption stuff.

00:38:02.220 That tells you how bad trouble he's in.

00:38:04.080 Roger, thank you so much for joining us.
