00:01:07.340 Welcome back into the Stone Zone.
00:01:10.160 My next guest is someone who understands firsthand what it means to love a dog like a family.
00:01:15.840 Now, in the 30 plus years I've been married to my wife, we have had nine Yorkshire Terriers and one rescue dog who was a Wheaton Terrier,
00:01:25.820 who unfortunately had a mangled leg and survived on three legs for a long time until he too went
00:01:32.320 to that great pet graveyard in the in the sky so we are dog lovers i do not endorse products that
00:01:39.680 i don't believe in and i'm an extraordinarily strong believer firsthand in rough greens you
00:01:45.660 see my dogs peewee 2.0 and mimi brother and sister well they kind of lost their spark they're they're
00:01:52.720 a little long in the tooth. These are older dogs. And I don't know, they seem less active.
00:01:57.720 They seem to have lost that zip, that energy. After using these Rough Green products, I have
00:02:03.340 to tell you, they're like younger pups. Their coats are shinier and smoothier. They're happier.
00:02:10.360 They're healthier. This has been a godsend. Now, Sarah Black, my next guest, is the daughter
00:02:15.440 of naturopathic doctor and Rough Green's founder, Dr. Dennis Black. And she's a proud dog mom. Two
00:02:21.880 incredible pups herself. She has a rescued Portuguese water dog who needed a forever home
00:02:27.800 and I'm told the latest edition an irresistible half doodle half Portuguese water dog who's
00:02:34.640 completely stolen her heart. So she knows how I feel and my wife and I feel about our pups. You
00:02:40.860 may have already seen Sarah's face across Facebook and social media as one of the biggest and most
00:02:45.380 passionate fans of Rough Greens because she doesn't just represent the brand she lives it
00:02:50.580 every single day. She's here today to talk about what every dog owner needs to hear.
00:02:55.300 I know firsthand that everything she's saying is true because the Rough Greens folks have sent me 0.66
00:02:59.920 their product and I was shocked at how successful and happy my dogs were once we used it. So Sarah 0.98
00:03:06.540 Black, welcome back. Hi Roger, thank you. It's so nice to be here today. I'm so glad to hear that
00:03:13.580 Kiwi and Mimi are doing great with Rough Greens. It's like day and night in all honesty. Their
00:03:18.800 energy is better their spark is better look they sleep with us i i admit it you know we are we are
00:03:25.100 dog lovers they become like your children as you know uh and i've used many of these other products
00:03:30.760 i've gone to the pet shops and i bought them rough greens is amazing because it's live food
00:03:36.000 it's live nutrition it's not dead food because as you and i both know processed dog food is dead
00:03:42.240 food uh and uh i don't think it's healthy for the dogs what you and your dad have done here
00:03:48.180 is really extraordinary well thank you so much yeah you know me rough greens for me isn't just
00:03:54.120 a business um it's a mission that my dad built from the heart he spent his entire career as a
00:04:00.680 naturopathic doctor and when he turned the focus towards dogs it made complete sense
00:04:06.280 um i grew up watching him believe that the body human or animal has an incredible ability to heal
00:04:12.880 and when you give your dog the right nutrition that's just you know the key to having them thrive
00:04:22.000 so that's what rough greens is built on and being a part of that with him is something that i'm just
00:04:27.260 incredibly proud of uh for listeners who haven't heard of rough greens i'm going to spell it for
00:04:32.220 you by the way so you can find it online if you look for it it's r-u-f-f greens uh and it really
00:04:38.380 is an extraordinary range of products and it's made a huge difference for our dogs and it will
00:04:44.640 for your pets as well now your dad talks a lot about nutrition that's not a phase that most pet
00:04:50.180 owners have ever focused on or even heard but what does it actually mean and why does it matter so
00:04:55.400 much well live nutrition and life nutrients are still built biologically active enzymes that
00:05:04.300 still work probiotics that are still alive and vitamins that haven't been cooked away that's
00:05:09.200 what the dog food is missing it doesn't matter if it's the cheapest or the most expensive kind
00:05:15.440 it's all cooked so think about the difference between a fresh salad and a can of vegetables
00:05:20.960 like you can feel the difference between those two so both have nutritional value on paper
00:05:27.460 but one has live things in it and then the other one doesn't because it needs to be conserved for
00:05:33.600 a long period of time. So essentially, that's what we mean by dead nutrition. And that's why
00:05:39.560 Rough Greens brings the life back to the food. Got PC Optimum points? Visit Shoppers Drug Mart

00:05:52.240 June 3rd. Valid in-store and online. I think your dad, Dr. Dennis Black,
00:06:01.960 who's a great man in my opinion, says that pet owners really need to focus on three things,
00:06:07.620 joint issues, digestive issues, and skin issues.
00:06:11.180 In my experience, Rough Greens has helped my dogs in all three areas.
00:06:15.420 Why do these three things matter so much?
00:06:18.640 Well, those are the three main things that we see that older dog parents complain about, right?
00:06:25.660 so think of this as the damage hasn't been done in one day or in 15 days so it can't be solved
00:06:33.380 in 15 days so let's start with joints for example most owners don't realize that joint
00:06:39.300 inflammation starts silently years before the dog actually shows any symptoms by the time your dog
00:06:46.920 struggles to get up the damage is made and unmaking that takes time um so yeah owners
00:06:54.420 blast it off and they're like oh my dog is fine you know he can still jump on the couch or
00:06:59.160 he can still go for the ball but then when they start seeing the symptoms long term they're like
00:07:05.360 oh i wish i would have done something sooner to prevent this and that's what dog owners don't
00:07:10.500 understand that with rough greens that's what we're trying to do we're trying to prevent
00:07:14.440 your dog from having all these child issues in the future no i think you're absolutely right
00:07:20.600 Most dog owners think that they're taking care of their dogs by spending a lot of money
00:07:26.760 on what they think is good food, when in fact what they're buying is processed food and
00:07:30.860 really dead food.
00:07:31.840 It really isn't enough.
00:07:33.520 I found when we began using the rough cream products, within a week, instead of laying
00:07:40.280 bed in the morning, by the time I got up to make that first pot of espresso, my dogs were
00:07:44.520 ready to play catch.
00:07:45.460 They wanted to play ball immediately.
00:07:47.440 Their spark was back.
00:07:48.860 Their energy was back.
00:07:49.920 That sparkle in their eye was back.
00:07:52.400 And their coats improved almost immediately.
00:07:55.320 Mimi, who is probably a little heavier than Peewee 2.0, was having a joint problem.
00:08:03.140 Those joint problems disappeared.
00:08:05.380 The vet even mentioned it when she went in for a checkup.
00:08:08.440 So I can tell people firsthand, this is not conjecture.
00:08:12.300 This is not hype.
00:08:13.900 Rough Greens really works.
00:08:15.120 It's an extraordinary range of products.
00:08:18.040 No, absolutely.
00:08:18.760 and it really works but all i want consumers to understand is that it takes time you need to give
00:08:26.760 it at least 90 days to see the actual benefits of it so it's like humans you know you don't take a
00:08:33.680 supplement for two weeks and expect to be cured from whatever it is that you feel unfortunately
00:08:39.740 our dogs can't talk to us so they can't tell us that they're feeling better but if you know your
00:08:45.140 dog enough you can start seeing it like you said right away with little things we certainly
00:08:51.460 experienced the improvement almost immediately and it just kept getting better and better
00:08:55.740 now it is part of the regular routine for for our dogs i've recommended it to my son my grandson
00:09:02.220 just got a new dog recommended it to him he's already begun his new dog uh on rough greens
00:09:09.580 I recommend this without reservation.
00:09:12.500 These are great products.
00:09:14.800 Where can people find Rough Greens?
00:09:16.780 And is there a way for people out there listening to try it without a big commitment up front?
00:09:22.220 Yes.
00:09:23.080 So anybody who's listening can go to roughgreens.com, and that's R-U-F-F-Greens.com.
00:09:31.620 They can use your promo code, which is STONE.
00:09:34.500 and they can get a free Jump Start trial bag,
00:09:38.440 which is a 15-day supply.
00:09:40.880 The intention of this bag is for you to try it
00:09:43.720 to see if your dog eats it.
00:09:46.580 And you will be getting a subscription
00:09:49.600 that you can cancel anytime online
00:09:51.440 with us as well.
00:09:53.700 There you have it.
00:09:54.900 I'm a great admirer of Dr. Dennis Black
00:09:57.040 and now we'll just talk to his daughter, Sarah,
00:09:59.540 who's deeply involved with this company.
00:10:01.360 He really is a visionary.
00:10:03.180 What he's done for our pets is really extraordinary.
00:10:06.340 I think he's actually probably saved us a lot of money in veterinary bills.
00:10:09.940 And I have happier, healthier dogs.
00:10:12.340 And that means I have a happier, healthier wife.
