On August 9th, 1974, President Richard Nixon resigned from the presidency, becoming the first sitting president to do so. Fifty years later, a very different narrative has emerged regarding how and why Nixon was removed from office. And that narrative involves a much different set of facts about the Watergate break-in and cover-up, and a much more detailed account of the events that led to Nixon s ouster from the White House. 00:42:42.760I don't think there's any president in history who has been so showed such humanity as Richard Nixon did.
00:42:48.820And the day that he had to give up and walk out in front of the world, what what he had worked a lifetime to and frankly had earned through blood, sweat and tears over over a lifetime of toil and righteously had won a huge victory and had the had the support of the American people.
00:43:08.360And what still is the greatest electoral victory for any president. And, you know, he stood there and said, others may hate you, but if you they don't win unless you hate them and then you've destroyed yourself.
00:43:22.240And that was he really in that speech, I think that that alone and these those these were contemporaneous remarks from the heart for the most part in his farewell to the White House staff.
00:43:33.600And I I never get tired of watching that because, as you quoted from it, Roger, it is so full of nuggets of wisdom.
00:43:40.220But such humanity, no president has ever bared their bared themselves that way.
00:43:45.840The emotion, the humility, and in such a such a harsh moment, I mean, knowing not only that he had to leave the presidency, but but also that these scum who had been pursuing him, this this media lynch mob had had prevailed.
00:44:02.880And that the, you know, the manipulative Democrat partisans who, you know, ran the special prosecutor and in Congress had had won.
00:44:11.760And, you know, very much he was a gentleman and he went on to become probably the greatest former president, ex president in our history.
00:44:21.400No question about that. He contributed more probably, I would say, to the to the to this nation and to to the political discourse and to raising the level of of debate and discussion about foreign policy.
00:44:37.180Then probably every predecessor or excuse me, every successor of his combined.
00:44:43.100When you look at Obama, what is Obama done except, you know, run run a puppet show with Joe Biden and see the about Donald Trump's election?
00:44:52.400You know, what is, frankly, George W. Bush on these guys just go off in the into oblivion and either do an Obama or pull Bush.
00:45:00.580But either way, Nixon contributed so much. I mean, his his post presidency was probably one of the greatest periods.
00:45:07.640I mean, easily as great in terms of his output as any other period of his life.
00:45:12.120And, Roger, you know this, you worked with him at that time, and I'm sure you could speak to that.
00:45:16.420But Nixon will I believe he will only grow in stature and greatness in the eyes of anybody who studies his life and listens to his speeches and reads his his works.
00:45:26.480And it's deservedly so. And the scum of the earth, like these these pishers, these yapping gutter snipes like Nick Ackerman, frankly, Woodward and all they'll be in the dustbin of history that they thought they put Nixon in and Nixon will endure through the ages.
00:45:43.280Excellent. I agree with that. All right, folks, I do want to remind you that our show is sponsored by the great folks over there at MyPillow.com, Mike Lindell, America's leading advocate for free speech and election integrity.

00:48:07.700My co-host, Troy Smith, and I try to deal with both the daily news on an ongoing basis, but also bring you some historical matters like today.
00:48:22.320The momentous leaving of Richard Nixon 50 years ago still reverberates in our politics.
00:48:31.020For me, of course, it has very deep meaning.
00:48:34.440It's why we wanted to dedicate today's show to it, but we'll be back to the calamity that is Governor Tim Walz.
00:48:44.900And we may even do a special edition, Saturday edition of the Stone Zone, because Joe Biden very clearly said that he was not confident of a peaceful transfer of power if Donald Trump won.
00:49:06.060I believe he blurted out the truth, as Alzheimer's patients are known to do.
00:49:11.560And then, frankly, Congressman Jamie Raskin preaches open insurrection, says that if Trump wins, we in the House will not certify him under the 14th Amendment, even though there is no judgment where he's been convicted of the 14th Amendment.
00:49:28.600That would also require both houses and a president to sign it into law.
00:49:32.900And that's not going to happen, but he's very open in his advocacy for violation of the law and insurrection.
00:49:42.220So we're going to get into those in we may actually try to do a special weekend update.
00:49:53.540I love breaking news here on the Stone Zone.
00:49:56.400And in particular, you know, the clip that you mentioned about Biden, you know, we have to be prepared for this.
00:50:02.400And, you know, we broke a story here in the Stone Zone that people have kind of just taken into the the old memory there.
00:50:08.240And I think people maybe don't remember that it was us that broke this story.
00:50:11.800But, you know, going back into the early parts of this year, we've been revealing that the Democrats and certain elements of the House Republicans have been working together in order to, you know, prepare for if Trump wins, they can block him from actually they tried blocking him to be on the ballot.
00:50:28.720They actually have bills that are floating around the House right now that will prevent him from becoming president, even if he wins the election.
00:50:35.720So the idea that Biden's out there saying, oh, you know, if Trump wins, there's not going to be a peaceful transfer of power.
00:50:42.620It's an amazing thing that this hasn't been picked up by the mainstream media or even by conservative outlets.
00:50:50.640And I think it shows, you know, the the.
00:50:55.280Never, never, ever underestimate the fact that Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama and all these people sat up there and said Trump will never be president.
00:51:03.000We will do everything within our power, even, you know, extra constitutionally.
00:51:08.880They don't care about the Constitution.
00:51:10.540They don't care about the rule of law.
00:51:12.220They will do anything, including a stage an event or possibly even start, as Biden kind of alluded to there, Roger, a violent uprising if Trump were to win this election.
00:51:23.080I'm happy to come in on the weekend and do a show about that because it's so important that we get the news out there because people are not picking up on this.
00:51:56.140This Sunday I have Dr. Robert Epstein, who is probably the world's foremost expert on Google and Google's manipulation of data, specifically Google's manipulation of data to affect the 2020 and 22 elections.
00:52:14.740He joins me on the Stone Zone, pardon me, on the Roger Stone show at 77 W.
00:52:22.120Also joining me, David Schoen, one of the country's leading criminal defense lawyers, going to talk to us about Joe Biden's Supreme Court reforms and why he is opposed to thinks they threaten the separation of powers principle.
00:52:38.760That's also coming up this weekend, this Sunday.
00:53:39.560Hawkins this week, which I thought, you know, I'm picking up those books as soon as possible.
00:53:43.480I can't wait to get those where he talks about Bethesda and he talks about the string, basically, of of international communism that has taken its toll on people like William McKinley, people like John F. Kennedy.
00:53:57.220And I think people like Richard Nixon.
00:53:59.400I think you're exactly right when you point out that it's the same people that shot McKinley, that shot Kennedy, that that shot at Reagan, that shot at Trump, that eventually take down Nixon.
00:54:12.040And you look at what you were talking about in Nixon's foreign policy, his main contribution in his post-presidency years.
00:54:18.120I think Nixon's plan would have taken an incredible amount of power away from international communism.
00:54:26.080And if you look at what he did, especially with China, it was very crucial that they use the expertise of Nixon to open up China to the United States.
00:54:36.160But once it was open, it's almost like the details said, well, we're done with you, Richard Nixon, and we don't need you anymore.
00:54:43.980And you can't tell me, Roger, that if we had eight years of Richard Nixon, that China would be the same country that it is today.
00:54:50.840I think it would have been pushed more towards capitalism, away from communism.
00:54:55.080And it was crucial to the elements of international communism that have killed presidents and shot at others that Richard Nixon be disposed of.
