00:00:37.180 And welcome to The Stone Zone again.

00:00:39.020 I am Jake Novak filling in again for Roger Stone.

00:00:41.640 Thank you so much for joining us.

00:00:43.760 Hey, at about 30 minutes or so, a little bit more than that after the hour,

00:00:47.460 I'm going to tell you about the double standards that Zoran Mamdani gets to enjoy.

00:00:52.060 Not compared to Republicans.

00:00:53.300 Oh, heaven forbid.

00:00:53.980 Of course he gets a double standard compared to them.

00:00:56.120 But compared to even other Democrats, they give him an easier time.

00:00:59.220 So I want to get to that.

00:01:00.160 But first, let me get you some of the latest, real latest news in Operation Epic Fury.

00:01:05.700 I got to tell you, if you're watching the mainstream news media, you are seeing all doom and gloom.

00:01:11.060 And they're pulling out some of the doom stories out of their you-know-whats.

00:01:14.300 I just saw in the corner of my eye CNN at the top of the hour leading with the fact that some building in southern Iraq was damaged

00:01:21.060 and it was owned partially by Halliburton.

00:01:23.740 That's your lead story.

00:01:25.180 It's not the lead story.

00:01:27.800 I mean, I know some of the producers of Anderson Cooper's show, okay?

00:01:31.100 I'm not going to say their names.

00:01:32.060 But come on, guys.

00:01:32.700 You know better than that.

00:01:33.720 You go with what's the biggest thing going on right now and hopefully the closest thing to actually happening at the moment.

00:01:39.500 I'm going to give you that right now.

00:01:40.640 Right now, Maribod Airport in Iran looks like the apocalypse.

00:01:46.040 It's getting bombed to, like, nothing.

00:01:48.320 It is absolutely being hit really hard.

00:01:50.220 And it's not just because it's an airport.

00:01:53.000 It's because we have known for a long time, both the United States and Israel,

00:01:57.020 that there are Iranian military facilities underneath that airport.

00:02:02.000 Also, by the way, they have some prisons underneath there, too.

00:02:04.140 So maybe they're trying to break out whoever's left in there.

00:02:07.660 That's what's happening right at this moment.

00:02:09.280 I wouldn't say it's the biggest story of the day, but you've got to leave with what's happening at the moment,

00:02:12.800 and that's very dramatic.

00:02:13.580 Like, some building in South Iraq somewhat damaged that's owned by Halliburton, that's your lead, CNN?

00:02:18.760 That's your lead, Anderson Cooper?

00:02:20.160 They're looking so hard to find doom and gloom bad news, which you can always find in a war if that's what you want to do,

00:02:26.400 that they are absolutely underserving their audience.

00:02:28.960 Are people paying for a cable subscription to CNN or for a stream?

00:02:32.060 But don't.

00:02:32.620 Get your money back.

00:02:33.340 All right, let me get you some of the other big stories.

00:02:35.060 I think the big enduring story of the day is President Trump calling for the unconditional surrender of the Iranian regime.

00:02:42.240 That's a very big deal.

00:02:44.300 We've had so many wars in the past where we haven't exactly called for that.

00:02:48.620 Really, the last time I can remember a war that the United States was involved in where we absolutely demanded unconditional surrender was World War II.

00:02:55.220 We demanded unconditional surrender from Nazi Germany and from Imperial Japan. 0.70

00:03:00.040 In Nazi Germany, by the way, a guy named Admiral Donitz tried to do a modified surrender.

00:03:07.580 Basically said, I'll get rid of the Hitler folks and maybe you let me continue to rule this country. 0.99

00:03:13.440 And no dice.

00:03:14.460 We didn't take no deal on that one.

00:03:15.780 Admiral Donitz.

00:03:17.500 Japan asked for unconditional surrender after the second atomic bomb fell on Nagasaki.

00:03:23.320 We've stopped short in a lot of our wars ever since.

00:03:28.860 And sometimes I think it made sense to do that.

00:03:30.640 Sometimes it didn't.

00:03:32.600 But that is a very big news that President Trump's calling for that.

00:03:35.800 And I don't think it's a coincidence that he called for it after Israel blew up the underground bunker that was used by the now late Ali Khamenei, the Ayatollah there, and all of his top leaders.

00:03:47.360 And we're hearing reports that maybe the rest of what was left of that top leadership in Iran was taken out in that attack.

00:03:54.900 So maybe President Trump made that demand for unconditional surrender because he kind of knew all the leaders who might have the ability to continue fighting a war and authorizing it were gone.

00:04:04.340 Possibly.

00:04:05.760 There are reports, by the way, again, this is the second time he's been reported dead in the last week.

00:04:09.640 So I don't want everybody to get completely convinced of this.

00:04:13.160 But yet another report that the son of Ali Khamenei, Mouyaba Khamenei, who was named the new supreme leader earlier in the day, may have been killed in that strike, in that bunker strike that the Israelis carried out.

00:04:25.860 Maybe, maybe not.

00:04:26.640 Again, we'll find out. 0.99

00:04:27.620 Wouldn't be surprised if he's dead.

00:04:28.840 Wouldn't be surprised if he isn't.

00:04:30.500 But that's a big story today, in addition to the unconditional surrender and that huge bunker getting attacked.

00:04:36.200 Okay.

00:04:36.480 Another big, enduring story of the day, according to the Washington Post and some other sources.

00:04:42.380 Russia is giving Iran intelligence about where the American soldiers are.

00:04:47.840 Not so much soldiers because they don't really have boots on the ground.

00:04:50.040 But, you know, our jets, where our ships are.

00:04:54.080 You know, I don't know how much of a big breaking story this is.

00:04:57.320 We know that Iran and Russia have been in cahoots militarily for a long time.

00:05:02.040 Russia likes to cause problems. 0.99

00:05:03.600 They don't really care about solutions.

00:05:04.900 They just like to cause problems. 0.99

00:05:06.940 And, of course, the bottom line on the story is, so what?

00:05:10.120 It doesn't matter if Iran knows where our ships are and where our jets are.

00:05:14.580 They can't hit them.

00:05:15.940 They're not even trying to hit them.

00:05:18.980 It doesn't mean, it doesn't take Russia off the hook for what they're doing. 0.73

00:05:22.580 But, I mean, come on, folks.

00:05:23.900 Let's get a little bit real here.

00:05:26.860 But Russia does like to cause mayhem in the Middle East. 0.98

00:05:29.220 And that reminds me of a joke that I have to share with you folks here on the Stone Zone.

00:05:33.300 I'm Jake Novak filling in for Roger Stone.

00:05:35.560 Great joke, and it's still true, about how when the Soviets used to train Egypt and Syrian Air Force pilots when they were fighting wars against Israel in the 60s and 70s, 0.76

00:05:46.140 the old joke is they would train them how to fly the MiG jets.

00:05:49.140 And after a couple of weeks, they would leave.

00:05:53.260 And the Syrians and the Egyptians would say, wait a minute, wait a minute, you can't leave.

00:05:55.940 You taught us how to fly these jets, but you didn't teach us how to land.

00:05:59.200 And the Soviets said, don't worry, the Israelis will teach you how to land, which is exactly what happened. 0.93

00:06:06.120 That's kind of what's going on right here.

00:06:07.860 They'll tell the Iranians where the U.S. ships are, maybe, if they know, and the jets are. 0.97

00:06:15.020 And the Iranians say, wait a minute, give us the weapons to fire at them. 1.00

00:06:18.060 No, not going to give you that.

00:06:19.540 Not going to happen.

00:06:20.080 They just kind of want to cause problems.

00:06:21.760 Now, here on American soil, I think one of the biggest stories is the fact that we actually haven't seen too many scenes like this.

00:06:30.180 But I'm very excited because this is probably going to be the first U.S. national program that's going to at least give you some of the sound of what's going on right now

00:06:39.060 or just ended down in Washington Square Park, not far from the studio where I'm doing this program for you right now.

00:06:44.660 It was an actual vigil for the Ayatollah Khamenei and a support the Iranian regime event.

00:06:50.820 I'm happy to say there was a heavy counter-protest there.

00:06:55.200 But I want to give you some sound from some of the people that were there giving our very intrepid reporter, and this is his real name.

00:07:02.640 Nino Danino was there to get some sound.

00:07:05.000 Here's how he was treated when he got there.

00:07:07.060 Can you leave?

00:07:07.800 Like, what are you doing here? 1.00

00:07:08.800 You're clearly not here to fuck. 1.00

00:07:10.100 Go, go, go. 1.00

00:07:11.100 All you're doing is that.

00:07:13.320 Don't touch me.

00:07:14.100 Don't push me.

00:07:14.680 I'm not touching you.

00:07:15.940 Go, go.

00:07:16.940 All you're doing is coming in here and being a problem.

00:07:19.100 I'm not even talking.

00:07:19.780 I'm literally just recording.

00:07:20.700 I'm getting, it's my job.

00:07:21.780 It's my full-time job.

00:07:22.820 It's my full-time job.

00:07:23.660 It's my full-time job to record.

00:07:26.000 You have gotten 15 videos.

00:07:29.020 I have to stream this whole thing.

00:07:30.320 That's what I'm doing. 1.00

00:07:31.620 That's a stupid job. 1.00

00:07:33.140 That's a really fun job. 1.00

00:07:35.420 You've gotten 15 videos over there.

00:07:37.840 You've gotten footage.

00:07:39.480 You've seen you get your footage.

00:07:40.720 Trust.

00:07:41.420 Ask them if I was just streaming.

00:07:42.580 I'm a digital reporter in the city.

00:07:43.740 I don't know what to tell you guys.

00:07:45.500 All you've come in here is go and push people around and try to get your footage.

00:07:49.220 You've gotten 15 videos.

00:07:50.440 Why aren't you harassing any other reporter that's here?

00:07:52.440 Because you're the one making a problem.

00:07:53.900 But I haven't, this is my first time that I've spoken to anybody at this whole event.

00:07:56.880 That's untrue.

00:07:58.140 Who did I speak to?

00:07:59.260 I told you to stop pushing me before.

00:08:01.020 No, because I literally wasn't pushing you.

00:08:02.660 Yeah, you walked into me a dozen times.

00:08:03.880 No, you came in here.

00:08:04.460 You walked into me a dozen times.

00:08:04.860 You came in here.

00:08:06.320 Leave me alone.

00:08:07.240 I'm allowed to.

00:08:07.540 Whatever, I'm not going to argue with you.

00:08:09.140 Everyone who's here just trying to cause a problem.

00:08:10.740 You know, this is what, this is such an interesting trend that we see, not just in live incidents

00:08:18.920 like this, but also online.

00:08:21.820 You see a lot, I mean, where you see this mostly happening, where people decide to make

00:08:25.740 controversial statements, posts and things like that, and then they're angry and they

00:08:31.080 put it on a public social media platform.

00:08:34.440 And then people like libs of TikTok, all they do is quote you and they say, hey, this is

00:08:38.860 something you posted.

00:08:39.660 You put it out there in public.

00:08:40.560 I'm not stealing it or hacking it from your private files.

00:08:43.660 And then people get upset.

00:08:45.920 And that's what was happening here.

00:08:46.960 These people were at a very public event.

00:08:48.340 By the way, you can't see the video, but all the people who were interacting with our

00:08:52.660 reporter were all wearing masks. 0.98

00:08:54.560 They, you know, absolute cowards. 0.98

00:08:57.820 They weren't breaking the law. 0.98

00:08:59.120 I don't know why they need to have masks other than maybe they want to get nice jobs. 0.89

00:09:03.840 Washington Square Park, of course, is unofficially part of the NYU New York University campus.

00:09:08.540 So there probably were some NYU students.

00:09:09.920 Maybe they're worried about not getting a job after graduation, which does happen to some

00:09:14.420 of these people.

00:09:14.960 In that case, if you don't feel strongly enough about a war that you're not willing to sacrifice

00:09:20.720 your job prospects, then don't go. 0.98

00:09:23.200 You know, be a coward. 0.99

00:09:24.220 Don't don't wear a mask. 0.98

00:09:25.040 But anyway, this reminds me of if you remember the protests at the University of Missouri after

00:09:30.340 the whole Michael Ferguson situation.

00:09:32.780 Sorry, Michael Brown situation in Ferguson, Missouri, where students were protesting what

00:09:37.660 was happening and they got angry at the news media for covering a public protest on public

00:09:42.800 property.

00:09:44.240 And a couple of the news media people came in just to film it.

00:09:46.680 And some professor got really angry that they were actually filming the protest.

00:09:51.760 And she was famously caught on air saying, can I get some muscle over here? 1.00

00:09:54.780 Muscle, what, to beat up the reporters?

00:09:56.900 I mean, what are you talking about?

00:09:59.620 I mean, this is just incredible.

00:10:02.620 This is just incredible.

00:10:03.620 These people, they're probably going and telling all their friends how courageous they were that

00:10:07.620 they went to this vigil and support for the Iranian regime in the Washington Square Park

00:10:11.880 and how much they hate America and hate Israel and all that kind of stuff, but they're not

00:10:15.860 willing to show their faces.

00:10:17.640 And when somebody comes to cover it as a news event, which usually you kind of want, right?

00:10:21.300 If you're trying to make a protest, don't you want it covered in the news media?

00:10:25.180 I mean, these people just are absolutely incredible in their cowardice and in their mixed messaging.

00:10:30.820 And they're trying to harass a reporter who was just there filming it on his phone and

00:10:35.440 using a professional microphone so that you in the national audience can see the story

00:10:40.460 and hear the story and find out what's going on.

00:10:43.060 What's wrong with that?

00:10:45.260 This is Greg Kelly.

00:10:46.360 Donate now to Toys for Tots, which works year-round.

00:10:49.460 Go to toysfortots.org.

00:10:51.280 Toys for Tots supports children in need throughout the year with programs like the Toys for Tots

00:10:55.820 Literacy Program.

00:10:57.080 Established in 2008, it has provided over 63 million books to disadvantaged children.

00:11:02.120 The Toys for Tots Literacy Program is committed to providing disadvantaged children with direct 0.95

00:11:06.880 access to books and educational resources that enhance their ability to read and communicate

00:11:12.260 effectively.

00:11:13.160 Go to toysfortots.org.

00:11:16.780 I mean, this is really, it's almost like the latest example of something that I always say,

00:11:22.760 which is that there's no such thing as a non-religious person.

00:11:25.600 So if you're not a Christian and you're not a Jew, and if you're not, I think, an old 1.00

00:11:29.960 school Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, whatever, you'll find something else to be devoted to.

00:11:34.900 I think a lot of people, it's themselves.

00:11:37.180 I think narcissism is a big one.

00:11:39.180 That's number one with the bullet.

00:11:40.440 But number two is politics.

00:11:41.860 Some people really treat their political beliefs like it's a religion.

00:11:46.040 And they're acting like, oh, some news reporter coming into my religious services, which I wouldn't

00:11:51.340 want to happen either, because for them, this is a religious type of event.

00:11:55.940 It really kind of is.

00:11:57.800 And that's sad.

00:11:58.320 By the way, politics is a bad, bad substitute for religion.

00:12:01.840 It doesn't have the good food, and it doesn't have the music. 0.99

00:12:05.620 Political songs stink.

00:12:07.220 So, I mean, I'm half joking.

00:12:08.420 But honestly, if you're going to joke, I'm a member of the oldest surviving cult in the

00:12:12.120 world, and I got to tell you, we have good food and we have pretty good music.

00:12:15.080 What can I say?

00:12:15.600 It's a lot of rules to follow.

00:12:16.680 But there you go.

00:12:18.000 All kidding aside, though, that's what's going on in Washington Square Park.

00:12:21.100 I don't think this is something that's happening in large numbers nationally.

00:12:25.220 There were a lot of counter-protesters there.

00:12:27.280 And by the way, this mirrors, although not as great as it was going on in London this week,

00:12:31.440 there were at least two events like this in central London where they tried to have a

00:12:34.860 pro-Iranian regime mourning for Ali Khamenei event.

00:12:39.820 And they were shouted down and very heavily outnumbered by pro-Israel, pro-American demonstrators

00:12:46.440 who not only shouted them down, but started playing the Donald Trump YMCA song.

00:12:51.100 And doing the dance.

00:12:53.000 Maybe if they tried this again in Washington Square Park, they'll get that again.

00:12:57.140 But I got to say, as outrageous as it is, and there were a lot of people, all joking aside,

00:13:01.760 there were a lot of people who were mentioning the fact that after the 9-11 attacks, Washington

00:13:06.860 Square Park became kind of a standing spot for vigils and mourning events for the victims.

00:13:14.720 Because Washington Square Park was one of the – it was really like the most iconic park

00:13:19.280 closest to Ground Zero.

00:13:20.700 It's not really that close to Ground Zero.

00:13:22.240 It's obviously quite a hike.

00:13:23.700 And if it were too close to Ground Zero, it wouldn't have been safe to be there.

00:13:27.420 But – so a lot of people are saying this is kind of like sacred ground, Washington Square

00:13:31.440 Park, for victims of Islamist fascism and Islamo-Nazism and terrorism.

00:13:36.080 But honestly, you can see – you can see why people feel this way.

00:13:42.320 Folks, got a lot more to get to here on The Stone Zone.

00:13:44.940 I'm Jake Novak, in for Roger Stone.

00:13:47.260 At about 35 minutes after the hour, I'm going to tell you the results of a very surprising

00:13:51.800 midterm poll.

00:13:53.160 But when we come back, I'm going to tell you about that double standard for Zora Mamdani.

00:13:56.740 He gets treated better than other Democrats, let alone Republicans.

00:13:59.980 You're listening to The Stone Zone.

00:14:01.140 I'll be right back.

00:14:05.300 The Stone Zone.

00:14:07.280 Entertaining and informative.

00:14:09.160 On the Red Apple Podcast Network.

00:14:12.080 And I'm Jake Novak, feeling again this week in for Roger Stone.

00:14:15.960 Thanks for that opportunity.

00:14:17.920 Hey, at about 10 minutes from now, I'm making an executive decision.

00:14:20.400 I had said in about 10 minutes from now we were going to get to this double standard story

00:14:23.640 about Zora Mamdani, but I'm going to do that right now.

00:14:25.940 Instead, in about 10, 15 minutes from now, I'm going to play even more crazy sound from

00:14:30.780 crazy people who support this regime in Iran.

00:14:33.960 And Ali Khamenei, you've got to hear this. 0.92

00:14:36.600 Disturbing, but also funny.

00:14:37.920 I guess it's a little bit of morbid sense of humor.

00:14:40.340 Got to get to Zora Mamdani, the new mayor of New York City.

00:14:43.540 Turns out, we found out yesterday, according to a reporter in the Jewish Insider, which

00:14:49.520 is a news source I read quite a bit, actually.

00:14:52.380 It's pretty good.

00:14:54.380 Found out that Zora Mamdani's wife liked, on her social media accounts, several, several

00:15:00.160 posts celebrating the October 7th attacks in the day or so after those horrific attacks.

00:15:06.960 And so, Zora Mamdani was asked about it, and here he is defending his wife.

00:15:12.340 Thank you.

00:15:13.140 Good morning, Mr. Mayor.

00:15:14.880 You should have a chance, I think, to respond to this.

00:15:17.220 This is an off-topic question.

00:15:18.440 I'd like to know what your reaction was to the article in the Jewish Insider that was

00:15:24.880 posted about your wife's social media activity.

00:15:28.740 And what I'm wondering is, you know, you're an elected official.

00:15:32.380 She is not.

00:15:33.860 Is it anybody's business, and is it fair to question you about it?

00:15:37.420 You know, my wife is the love of my life, and she's also a private person who has held

00:15:45.540 no formal position on my campaign or in my city hall.

00:15:49.200 I, however, was elected to represent all eight and a half million people in the city, and

00:15:53.960 I believe that it's my responsibility, because of that role, to answer any questions about

00:15:57.800 my thoughts and my policies and my decisions.

00:16:00.160 Yeah.

00:16:01.340 First of all, who asked that question?

00:16:02.860 Was it Zoram Mamdani's own staff that wrote that leading question? 0.99

00:16:05.640 What a piece of garbage question, her social media activity. 1.00

00:16:09.400 How about saying, no, she liked posts that celebrated the October 7th attack. 0.99

00:16:13.380 I mean, I really need to sit down and do a journalism school here.

00:16:16.920 First for the producers of the Anderson Cooper Show, who decided to lead at the top of this

00:16:20.140 hour with a Halliburton partially owned building by Halliburton getting slightly damaged

00:16:24.460 in southern Iraq.

00:16:25.500 Who gives a darn? 0.99

00:16:26.480 That's their lead on the Anderson Cooper Show, and then this pathetic excuse for an 0.99

00:16:32.440 actual question. 0.76

00:16:33.500 Not quite.

00:16:34.720 But I wanted to add something.

00:16:36.020 Zoram Mamdani not only getting the kid glove treatment compared to what a Republican would

00:16:39.500 get if he had a wife doing this, but Dan Goldman, a congressman in downtown New York from that

00:16:44.900 area, his wife is a very pro-Israel supporter online, and he had to apologize for her very recently.

00:16:52.280 So that's a Democrat, a very liberal Democrat, and they didn't give him the same courtesy.

00:16:56.940 Zoram Mamdani is getting the carry water treatment from the news media.

00:17:00.380 You can believe that.

00:17:01.500 Speaking of getting the carry water treatment, when you come a little bit later in the show,

00:17:05.060 you're going to hear Katie Couric asking an absolutely nauseating question of Gavin Newsom.

00:17:09.840 I'm Jake Novak filling in for Roger Stone.

00:17:32.400 Entertaining and informative.

00:17:34.380 On the Red Apple Podcast Network.

00:17:37.440 And I'm Jake Novak filling in for Roger Stone for the second time this week.

00:17:40.940 Thank you for joining us here on the Stone Zone.

00:17:44.440 About a little bit before the end of the hour, I'm going to show you, play for you,

00:17:50.820 Joe Biden's little, a part of his little speech at the Jesse Jackson funeral today.

00:17:54.860 And if you were missing the strange ramblings, the incorrect emphasis on the wrong words,

00:18:02.840 Joe Biden speech patterns, you will not be disappointed.

00:18:07.180 You will not be disappointed.

00:18:08.520 You know, Joe Biden went up there against some really, really great speakers.

00:18:15.240 If I were him, it's like being the worst comedian going after like Robin Williams and George Carlin or something like that.

00:18:22.300 I don't know why he agreed to go there.

00:18:24.760 I mean, just showing up.

00:18:25.500 OK, but giving a speech, not the best idea.

00:18:27.540 Speaking of great comedians, I'm also going to play for you, before the end of the hour,

00:18:33.420 Eddie Murphy's imitation and actually better handling of a bad PR situation from Jesse Jackson from 42 years ago.

00:18:40.380 You've probably forgotten it, but it was one of the funnier moments ever on the old SNL.

00:18:44.540 Hey, let's recap the top actual top stories right now when it comes to Operation Epic Fury.

00:18:49.600 And I want to start with something that's going on right now, not only because it's happening now,

00:18:53.320 but because it's certainly a major development, Iran's Marabad Airport, that's their main airport in Tehran,

00:18:58.700 absolutely engulfed in flames right now.

00:19:00.560 I've seen many videos of this, all confirmed a massive attack on the airport.

00:19:05.380 I would assume it's mostly an Israeli attack, but maybe the U.S. is involved, certainly tactically involved.

00:19:10.260 And this is a major development because it isn't just about crippling civilian flights out of Iran,

00:19:15.720 which haven't been happening anyway since last weekend anyway.

00:19:18.080 But we know that the Iranian regime has been using that airport for its military facilities for a long time.

00:19:26.700 There's also apparently a prison there as well that perhaps the Israelis in the United States would like to see destroyed 0.99

00:19:32.560 or at least opened up so that the Iranians can't use it anymore to put the protesters there or resistance fighters,

00:19:39.580 that kind of thing.

00:19:40.260 I've seen President Trump earlier today calling for the unconditional surrender of this Iranian regime.

00:19:46.420 That's a very big deal.

00:19:47.360 You don't hear that very often.

00:19:49.060 I don't think that the United States has called for unconditional surrender in anything other than maybe that action we put out in Grenada back in 1983 since World War II.

00:20:00.220 I mean, hearing unconditional surrender demand is something new, at least something we haven't heard from in a long time.

00:20:07.180 Before President Trump made that demand, the Israelis blew up the super top secret, supposedly impenetrable secret bunker of the now late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

00:20:19.700 His son, who was just named the successor earlier in the day, may have been killed in that attack.

00:20:25.240 Certainly another large group of leaders also killed in that attack.

00:20:29.660 So that is something that may have set off President Trump's unconditional surrender demand because he really had some juice to stand behind him on that one,

00:20:38.940 saying, listen, we're going to get you all.

00:20:40.540 You thought you had.

00:20:41.360 That was your best hiding place, and we got you.

00:20:44.480 Also learning today, not really a shocker, and I don't really know how much of an effect this has,

00:20:49.200 but according to a number of reports, including the Washington Post, Russia is giving Iran intel about the location of U.S. and Israeli,

00:20:58.780 probably U.S. forces, the naval ships, maybe some of the jets.

00:21:05.260 So Iran can't hit them. 0.68

00:21:08.140 It doesn't matter.

00:21:09.020 I mean, I can know exactly how the defense is going to shift against me.

00:21:13.220 I'm 55 years old, but if you hand the ball off to me in an NFL game,

00:21:16.020 it doesn't matter if I know where the defense is going to move.

00:21:19.120 They're still going to clobber me.

00:21:20.600 It doesn't matter.

00:21:21.280 I don't have any weapons to use against those forces.

00:21:25.180 I guess using the quarterback analogy makes more sense.

00:21:27.520 I might know where the secondary is, but I'm still not going to hit that wide receiver on a slant for 30 yards or more.

00:21:33.400 All right?

00:21:33.640 You get my point?

00:21:35.300 Still, obviously, Russia is not our friend. 0.98

00:21:37.440 Russia has been a meddler. 0.77

00:21:38.440 Russia just likes to cause problems throughout the world. 0.98

00:21:40.540 By the way, they've been doing this since the Tsars were in control. 0.94

00:21:42.540 This is not just a Soviet thing or a Putin thing.

00:21:46.120 They're big on fake news, and they're big on just causing mayhem every single place. 0.87

00:21:52.060 So those are the leads right now in the Iran, the Operation Epic Fury.

00:21:57.040 That's where we are right now.

00:21:57.840 There's a lot of other stories, of course, in the region, including Israel's very, very large attacks now on Hezbollah in southern Lebanon,

00:22:04.180 which have been going on for a couple of days.

00:22:05.840 That's a major development, too, in the overall region.

00:22:08.740 But I want to focus on the Iran news.

00:22:12.000 And you may have noticed.

00:22:13.980 You didn't hear any cheerleading from me here when I gave you those news stories.

00:22:18.000 I just gave you the truth about what's going on.

00:22:20.540 But compare me to the mainstream news media.

00:22:23.120 And the mainstream news media is absolutely doom and gloom the whole time.

00:22:26.040 And it's not just the usual news media bias in favor of scary stories to get you interested and to stop you from turning the channel and all that kind of stuff.

00:22:33.460 It's absolute rooting against the United States right now because Trump is president. 0.82

00:22:37.860 It's really, really despicable. 0.54

00:22:39.220 It's really, really bad.

00:22:40.200 It's also really bad for business.

00:22:42.940 CNN, at the top of the hour, led with the fact that some building owned by Halliburton in southern Iraq was damaged by it.

00:22:49.520 Who cares?

00:22:50.720 That's your lead story?

00:22:52.060 You have Iran's number one airport totally in flames right now.

00:22:55.960 You have a president of the United States who's demanded unconditional surrender.

00:22:59.580 You've had the lead bunker used by the top leaders of Iran blown to smithereens. 0.53

00:23:03.940 That's your lead?

00:23:05.800 Halliburton.

00:23:06.300 Who cares?

00:23:08.280 Unbelievable.

00:23:08.880 Anderson Cooper.

00:23:10.200 I know some of his producers.

00:23:12.060 I worked at CNN a long time ago, but I know some of them have been working on that show.

00:23:15.600 I'm not going to call them out by name, but come on, guys.

00:23:18.980 That's boring news.

00:23:20.580 Why would you lead your hour with that in the middle of a shooting war while the main airport of the largest terrorist sponsor in the world is totally in flames?

00:23:27.780 Why would you?

00:23:28.700 What journalism school tells you to go with that?

00:23:32.280 This just in, we're at war with Iran, but a cat has been rescued from a tree.

00:23:35.620 Roger, can you get?

00:23:36.740 What are you doing?

00:23:37.940 Oh, I'm sorry.

00:23:40.240 It just bothers me as someone who's been in TV news journalism and radio news journalism for over 30 years to see that kind of bad business being done.

00:23:47.920 You know, listen, if you have a liberal leaning story or an anti-Trump story connected to this war that's big, big, big.

00:23:53.960 And you want to leave with that, okay.

00:23:55.480 But Halliburton-owned building in South Iraq, ain't it?

00:23:59.680 All right, I'm off my rant on that.

00:24:01.640 Let's talk about a little bit of domestic news right now.

00:24:04.280 This is a midterm election year.

00:24:06.320 We got those midterm primaries, those big midterm primaries, most of them in Texas, but there was one in North Carolina as well.

00:24:12.520 You know all about that.

00:24:13.820 But I want to talk about an interesting poll from the polling source that I trust most.

00:24:19.060 That's my friend Scott Rasmussen, Napolitan Research.

00:24:21.960 And his poll came out today showing that the Republicans and the Democrats are tied in the generic midterm ballot poll, which surprises a lot of people who really thought that with the war coming and with the polls showing that the war isn't completely supported yet, although you can't trust war polls until a couple of weeks out, by the way.

00:24:40.680 Just giving you that pollster's expert notice, by the way.

00:24:44.120 I used to work as a pollster.

00:24:45.760 Polls on wars are not reliable until two weeks into the war.

00:24:48.800 So just giving you that point.

00:24:49.940 But still, a lot of people thought that with that going on and all the controversy with ICE going on, there would be some real erosion in the GOP's poll numbers.

00:24:59.020 And the guy who's polling I trust most, Scott Rasmussen, Napolitan Research, says it's completely a toss-up right now.

00:25:05.320 It doesn't mean great news one way or the other.

00:25:07.900 It's just it's interesting.

00:25:09.620 I think the Democrats would have expected to be ahead in that midterm poll.

00:25:13.420 Now, going out beyond the midterms, Gavin Newsom has really been active this week, looking to bolster his presidential run for 2028, which, by the way, I don't advise at this early stage.

00:25:26.740 You don't want to be a frontrunner in a presidential election any time earlier than March of the actual election year.

00:25:32.580 But Newsom's going for it.

00:25:33.920 And there's some polls that show that he is ahead.

00:25:35.960 I've seen some other polls that he's way behind, Kamala Harris, of all people.

00:25:39.600 But Katie Couric decided to interview Gavin Newsom. 0.99

00:25:43.100 And here's the question, the serious – I'm just kidding – the serious question she had to ask him.

00:25:48.200 Do you have a Zoolander problem?

00:25:49.940 No, I – Jesus.

00:25:51.340 Yeah, Zoolander.

00:25:54.080 Are you just ridiculously good-looking, as Vogue said?

00:25:57.380 No, seriously, what do you do about that? 0.96

00:25:59.740 You don't do anything about it, because if you're going to do something about it, then you're bullshitting people.

00:26:04.860 You know what?

00:26:05.340 I am who I am.

00:26:06.200 And it's fine.

00:26:07.720 You don't have to like me.

00:26:08.940 Or maybe you like a slick person.

00:26:10.360 I don't know.

00:26:11.160 Whatever.

00:26:11.580 It's okay.

00:26:12.880 The reason why I brought it up, because you talked about being authentic.

00:26:17.200 Yeah.

00:26:17.340 And I think it sometimes works against you.

00:26:19.340 Yeah.

00:26:19.940 It's just who I am.

00:26:21.100 It's just who I am.

00:26:23.140 Are you too good-looking to run for president?

00:26:26.100 Now, let me tell you something about – beyond the ick factor of that question – and sorry, by the way, we didn't bleep out a word in there.

00:26:33.740 Caught us by surprise.

00:26:34.880 Probably nothing you haven't heard, but just in case there are kids in the room, I apologize.

00:26:39.080 Anyway, besides the ick factor of that question, that's not a professional question to ask.

00:26:45.800 I guess that maybe if you were in a political consulting meeting, you can talk about that and discuss where this fits into things.

00:26:52.680 But that's very much an interesting question for Katie Couric to ask, because Katie Couric, of course, comes from the old-school world of TV news anchorwomen back when she used to have those jobs.

00:27:05.280 And when she broke in on the Today Show, she took over for a very, very attractive woman who was getting a chance after Jane Pauley left the Today Show. 1.00

00:27:15.200 And I remember I once met the president, the outgoing president of NBC News, who told me I told them not to hire that hot chick. 0.99

00:27:24.000 That was in his words, because women who watch the Today Show, the dominant audience of the Today Show, want to see a cute woman, but they don't want to see a supermodel. 1.00

00:27:33.900 Okay.

00:27:35.240 Made sense to me, actually.

00:27:37.300 So Katie Couric was trying to think, maybe I should say that to Gavin Newsom.

00:27:39.920 Maybe if he's too good-looking, it'll be bad for him.

00:27:42.980 I mean, the shallowness of that question.

00:27:45.920 I don't think that he has a Zoolander problem.

00:27:47.720 I think Katie Couric has a Zoolander problem. 1.00

00:27:49.660 Just not a question to ask.

00:27:52.100 And by the way, most people in day-to-day politics are not that good-looking.

00:27:57.640 They're kind of good-looking.

00:27:59.160 They're sort of, but not quite.

00:28:01.460 Nevertheless, Gavin Newsom, and I'll give her some credit.

00:28:03.740 She did ask him earlier in that podcast interview about some of the disaster stuff going on in California, but she didn't really press him.

00:28:10.440 And it was still like a coffee clutch.

00:28:13.600 Obviously, a very friendly atmosphere.

00:28:15.840 You don't have to be a barracuda, but the interview was really hard to watch.

00:28:20.760 And I'm embarrassed for her for a lot of reasons.

00:28:24.360 I got to tell you something.

00:28:25.600 Really, honestly.

00:28:27.200 Here's another thing I'm embarrassed for.

00:28:28.800 If you've seen all the polls and all the surveys and all the studies lately, we found that over the last, really just the last 15, 20 years, men politically have pretty much stayed the same as far as how they vote or they believe on the main issues.

00:28:45.700 Women, though, have gone very far to the left. 1.00

00:28:49.760 Very far to the left.

00:28:50.760 And the answer to me is very, very simple.

00:28:54.020 The answer to me is social media.

00:28:56.140 Social media is filled with a lot of this, obviously conservative talking points on social media, but very heavily left on social media.

00:29:03.500 And there's one thing that couples don't do together.

00:29:05.820 They used to watch the news together.

00:29:07.760 They used to discuss things like that together.

00:29:09.340 But I have yet to meet a couple that scrolls on social media together, no matter how close that couple is.

00:29:14.680 Maybe a little bit here and there, but for the most part, they don't.

00:29:17.240 And so women are getting these very, very targeted towards them, liberal talking point type stuff on social media that the men aren't seeing. 0.98

00:29:25.580 And they're certainly not seeing it together so that the men and the women can talk about it and then maybe they can sort of talk past the brainwashing.

00:29:32.580 But women have gone much further to the left. 1.00

00:29:35.540 The men have stayed the same on the issues.

00:29:36.860 They may have voted Democrat in the past, but on the same issues, feeling the same way.

00:29:40.920 Maybe they became Republicans, but not because they became more conservative ideologically.

00:29:44.400 They just couldn't find a Democrat who met their old ideology in any way whatsoever.

00:29:50.220 Well, I want to play a couple of sound bites from women responding to the war right now. 0.96

00:29:55.960 This first is cut five.

00:29:56.980 This is a woman who's gone viral for her take on the U.S. and Israeli war on Iran.

00:30:02.560 It's just what's happening now.

00:30:04.020 The Iranian people right now, they're going to their deaths. 1.00

00:30:07.900 Professor Miranda is telling us this.

00:30:10.400 Then Khamenei, I know people are going to yell at me by saying this, but Khamenei said, and this is not a lie.

00:30:15.980 This is true.

00:30:17.200 These people are selfless.

00:30:19.120 These people are selfless, egoless.

00:30:21.960 This is something the West doesn't understand.

00:30:23.860 When I talk about modesty and humility, like I have a sticker I want to make, bring back humility, have some humility, have some heart, have some mercy.

00:30:34.760 He was told you're going to die. 0.93

00:30:36.600 You're going to die if you stay here. 0.93

00:30:38.720 He died with his whole family, martyred him, martyred him. 0.99

00:30:43.740 Martyred?

00:30:45.100 Humility?

00:30:45.660 The guy had a fortune of $200 billion plus.

00:30:51.400 That was the austere, humble man?

00:30:56.280 His son, who may have been eliminated today, also worth tens of billions of dollars.

00:31:03.160 She's talking about humility.

00:31:05.480 She doesn't have any. 1.00

00:31:06.600 She's a complete ignoramus. 0.99

00:31:08.440 She clearly doesn't know anything about the situation in Iran. 0.99

00:31:11.440 Imagine being a woman in Iran who's been attacked and jailed for not covering your hair and having to listen to this woman telling you you're not humble enough or that you don't have enough of a heart.

00:31:20.880 Did she cry for the tens of thousands of Iranians who were killed in these protests?

00:31:24.460 It wasn't even that long ago.

00:31:25.380 It was literally like a month and a half ago.

00:31:27.580 Unbelievable.

00:31:29.460 Here's another woman. 1.00

00:31:30.420 Her name is Kalia Walsh.

00:31:32.300 She used to be a volunteer for a bunch of Democrats in Massachusetts working on their campaigns.

00:31:38.980 She's the modern-day Charles Lindbergh.

00:31:41.020 Here she is in Iran talking about how great it is.

00:31:43.420 It's incredibly powerful to be standing amongst the missiles, the drones that are resisting U.S. imperialism and Zionism that have launched historic strikes on the heart of the genocidal Zionist entity. 0.90

00:32:00.120 And what's notable about Iran's missile program and drone development is that it is entirely indigenous to the country.

00:32:08.560 Oh, my goodness.

00:32:09.340 I mean, this is someone who was working with Ed Markey and trying to work with Elizabeth Warren.

00:32:16.560 All right.

00:32:17.360 When we come back, I'm going to play that soundbite that proves that Joe Biden's addled brain is just still as addled as always was.

00:32:25.140 And also, you're going to get a real treat from Eddie Murphy.

00:32:27.140 This is Jake Novak in for Roger Stone on The Stone Zone.

00:32:29.240 The Stone Zone, entertaining and informative.

00:32:36.840 On the Red Apple Podcast Network.

00:32:38.740 I'm Jake Novak in for Roger Stone this evening.

00:32:42.020 A big domestic story for the mainstream news media today was the funeral for Jesse Jackson.

00:32:48.340 And I think that that's a story worth covering.

00:32:50.120 Absolutely.

00:32:51.140 But a lot of them went with hours of coverage of the funeral.

00:32:55.720 Former President Barack Obama gave one of the big eulogies, a bunch of other bigger names.

00:32:59.820 But for some reason, they let Joe Biden talk as well.

00:33:03.260 And here was something that he really thought was important to say.

00:33:07.280 By the way, you know.

00:33:10.120 The continent of Africa is going to be the largest continent in the world in terms of population by the year 2050.

00:33:16.660 It's large in the entire world.

00:33:20.440 Watch, man.

00:33:22.560 Watch.

00:33:23.000 Watch what?

00:33:25.280 Massive overpopulation?

00:33:27.920 There are some countries in Africa that are becoming wealthier, although they still have incredibly corrupt governments.

00:33:34.500 So the wealth is not getting spread all that much.

00:33:36.580 I don't know what the larger population of Africa and what we're supposed to watch.

00:33:40.700 Are we supposed to be afraid of that?

00:33:42.900 I mean, the guy is just he's so used to pandering to black audiences. 0.99

00:33:47.060 He doesn't finish his thought. 0.92

00:33:49.640 I guess he's not really capable of doing that.

00:33:52.580 But look, Jesse Jackson, I had some stuff to say about him when he passed away.

00:33:58.380 I understand that it's a story to cover.

00:34:00.480 He was a big newsmaker in this country a very long time ago.

00:34:03.880 What's interesting about MSNBC and CNN taking huge chunks of that funeral today is the fact that neither MSNBC or call it MSNOW or CNN has had anything to say about Jesse Jackson for years.

00:34:16.220 I mean, I don't think that their listeners, their viewers really, a lot of them knew who he was.

00:34:20.340 But they made it into a big thing.

00:34:23.180 All right.

00:34:23.680 I mean, look, we're in the middle of a major war.

00:34:25.700 I think you take some speeches.

00:34:27.880 They were just on it for a very long time.

00:34:30.480 But as I mentioned, when Jesse Jackson passed away, look, he really, I think, believe it or not, kind of ended his career politically before it started.

00:34:38.160 When he came out with an anti-Semitic statement about Jews in New York not supporting him and calling them Hymies, that was back in 84.

00:34:45.900 Believe it or not, I think that's when the ceiling was created for him.

00:34:49.500 And just a few days after that happened, Eddie Murphy on SNL decided to respond to that moment in song.

00:34:56.080 Check it out.

00:34:56.480 Getting ready for a game means being ready for anything, like packing a spare stick.

00:35:07.280 I like to be prepared.

00:35:08.900 That's why I remember 988, Canada's Suicide Crisis Helpline.

00:35:12.800 It's good to know, just in case.

00:35:14.960 Anyone can call or text for free confidential support from a trained responder, anytime.

00:35:20.480 988 Suicide Crisis Helpline is funded by the government in Canada.

00:35:23.700 Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.

00:35:31.180 I'm Jesse Jackson.

00:35:36.440 And I was recently quoted in the Washington Post as referring to a certain group of people as Hymies.

00:35:46.280 They also said that I called New York Hymie Town.

00:35:50.340 I realized that kind of talk isn't kosher.

00:35:53.700 But let me see if I can explain it to you all in song.

00:36:01.180 As I said, I'm Jesse Jackson.

00:36:03.820 And I'm running for president of the United States.

00:36:06.800 I'm a Libra.

00:36:07.840 And this is a very special message to all you chosen people out there.

00:36:13.600 You know what?

00:36:31.740 All kidding aside, if that's how Jesse Jackson had actually responded to that controversy,

00:36:37.140 I think he would have done better.

00:36:39.500 Eddie Murphy writing a sketch just on the skin of his teeth probably a day or so before it actually aired,

00:36:46.560 did a better job of handling that problem.

00:36:49.240 All kidding aside, Jesse Jackson's career was over there.

00:36:53.220 He was never going to be more than what he was.

00:36:55.660 He ran again in 1988.

00:36:56.660 And he kind of came in third in the primaries for the Democratic Party that year.

00:37:00.860 But he never ran again.

00:37:02.760 He wasn't a serious candidate.

00:37:05.360 And it was just one of those things where he could have handled it better.

00:37:09.260 He could have followed in the footsteps of his mentor, Martin Luther King Jr.,

00:37:12.740 who was a very good friend to the Jews and of Israel, by the way, would have helped him.

00:37:17.640 He didn't follow that advice.

00:37:18.940 He didn't follow those footsteps.

00:37:19.900 I'm Jake Novak, filling in for Roger Stone this evening.

00:37:22.700 I thank you for the opportunity.
