00:00:00.380 The Stone Zone, entertaining and informative on the Red Apple Podcast Network.
00:00:07.660 You are now entering the Stone Zone.
00:00:12.020 Well, Chicago is experiencing a bloodbath, a crime epidemic.
00:00:17.140 President Donald Trump seems poised to move the National Guard to Chicago,
00:00:22.140 which he has the authority to do by declaring it a national emergency.
00:00:26.580 Let's listen to the president.
00:00:30.000 Can you take your mind upon Chicago, though?
00:00:33.180 Well, we're going in.
00:00:34.320 I didn't say when.
00:00:35.200 We're going in.
00:00:36.060 When you lose, look, I have an obligation.
00:00:38.120 This isn't a political thing.
00:00:40.280 I have an obligation.
00:00:41.880 When 20 people are killed over the last two and a half weeks and 75 are shot with bullets.
00:00:50.960 So let me tell you a little story about a place called D.C., District of Columbia, right here where we are.
00:00:57.540 It's now a safe zone.
00:01:00.000 We have no crime.
00:01:00.980 We have it's in such great shape.
00:01:03.240 You can go and actually walk with your children, your wife, your husband.
00:01:07.580 You can walk right down the middle of the street.
00:01:09.440 You're not going to be shot, Peter.
00:01:10.920 You're safe.
00:01:13.120 I think the president's made it very clear that he's preparing to move on Chicago.
00:01:18.140 As I said, Chicago experienced a bloodbath over the Labor Day weekend, 52 people shot, eight people killed, four mass shootings.
00:01:27.600 Now, just looking at last year, there were 225,911 calls to the Chicago police that went completely unanswered.
00:01:37.600 The police force itself is down by 1,600 police officers.
00:01:43.600 Nobody will apply for those jobs.
00:01:45.060 We'll talk later in the show with former Chicago police superintendent Richard Brzezak, who will tell us exactly why that is.
00:01:55.300 There are 90 percent of the violent criminals who are arrested are back out on the street with a cashless bail system.
00:02:03.580 67,000 criminals skipped out on their follow-up hearings.
00:02:09.940 Yet Governor J.B. Pritzker and Mayor Brandon Johnson continue to reject help from the Trump administration.
00:02:18.020 Listen to Mayor Johnson.
00:02:20.540 Are you prepared to defend this land, this land that was built by slaves, a land that was built by indigenous people,
00:02:30.700 a land that is built by workers, are you prepared to defend this land?
00:02:38.480 The people united will always prevail.
00:02:43.040 I need you all to stand firm, to stand strong, if this president decides to continue to break this constitution.
00:02:52.400 This is a man completely out of control.
00:02:54.780 I would argue that that's the mayor of Chicago who is advocating insurrection.
00:02:59.720 The president of the United States has full legal authority to declare a national emergency.
00:03:06.060 The statistics that I just read to you show that Chicago is experiencing an emergency.
00:03:11.760 And I predict right here and now that he will mobilize the National Guard and they will restore safety to the streets of Chicago.
00:03:20.200 The president cited the example of the District of Columbia.
00:03:23.380 If you look at the comments of actual residents of D.C., they're very pleased with the fact that the president has moved the National Guard in and he has restored safety.
00:03:34.940 But his crime turned Chicago upside down.
00:03:37.340 J.B. Pritzker and Mayor Johnson vehemently refused the cooperation of the National Guard and ICE agents to protect the streets.
00:03:45.080 You see, they care more about their political party and their leftist ideology than they do protecting their constituents.
00:03:52.640 The people of Chicago and liberal cities across the country are getting a rude awakening that they are doomed to live in dangerous conditions as long as Democrats are in charge.
00:04:03.360 Again, later on in the show, former Chicago superintendent of police, Richard Brzezak, joins us to give us an expert analysis of the situation in the Windy City.
00:04:16.040 Meanwhile, I was in touch with the family of Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
00:04:20.720 Many of you know, the mayor was injured in a car accident several days ago.
00:04:26.020 The good news is the mayor is on the mend.
00:04:29.120 He's doing fine.
00:04:31.080 He's one tough son of a gun who has been a target of political persecution and prosecution.
00:04:38.280 Why?
00:04:38.900 Because he he vigorously represented the interests of his client as an attorney.
00:04:44.680 President Trump has done the right thing by deciding to award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to America's Mayor Rudy Giuliani after it was announced that the mayor suffered in this car accident and left him with major spinal injuries.
00:05:00.360 I'm proud to say that I was a volunteer in Rudy Giuliani's first campaign for mayor.
00:05:06.200 He was elected mayor of New York City in his second try, and he is, as the president has said, the greatest mayor in the history of New York City.
00:05:15.760 He was also an equally great American patriot.
00:05:18.840 The president said both of those things.
00:05:21.440 Rudy Giuliani became the mayor of New York City in 1993 when he instituted the tough law and order policies that cleaned the city up and resulted in the revitalization of Times Square.
00:05:32.580 After 9-11, he showed the true grit that he has.
00:05:37.600 It was Giuliani's leadership that kept the country together during one of the darkest times.
00:05:42.380 Then, after the stolen election of 2020, Giuliani stepped up again and led the efforts to oppose the fraud that I believe robbed President Trump of his rightful second term in the White House.
00:05:54.220 Few in government, few in the country have done more to defend freedom and stand up against injustice than my friend Rudy Giuliani.
00:06:01.500 I am praying for a speedy recovery, as I'm certain all Americans and all New Yorkers join me.
00:06:09.940 Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has ordered the removal of gender ideology from the public schools.
00:06:16.600 President Trump has now ordered that this ideology gender nonsense be removed from public schools, threatening to withhold federal funds from public schools that refuse to comply.
00:06:27.560 President Trump told his Department of Health and Human Services to direct 46 states and territories to eliminate any reference to gender ideology from their school curriculums and materials or they would lose federal funding.
00:06:43.360 The Department of Health and Human Services administration for children and families terminated a grant in California last week after they refused to remove gender ideology from their materials, showing that the Trump administration means business.
00:06:59.660 Acting Assistant Secretary Andrew Greatison said accountability is coming.
00:07:06.380 Federal funds will not be used to poison the minds of the next generation or advance dangerous ideological agendas.
00:07:15.540 The Trump administration will ensure that the policies of this department reflect the intent of Congress, not the priorities of the radical left.
00:07:25.360 Gender ideology was always a project that was funded by the government and so-called non-profits funded by leftist billionaires like George Soros.
00:07:35.360 It was never organic.
00:07:37.000 It was thrust upon society by a cabal of extremely evil, child-abusing, demonic monsters.
00:07:43.960 We must not forget who these people are in the months to come as the shoe drops and the prosecutions of some of these people transpire.
00:07:52.800 Meanwhile, Robert Mueller, the so-called head of the Mueller witch hunt, has begged off on a subpoena from the House Oversight Committee investigating why Jeffrey Epstein, the child sex trafficker and pedophile, was given a mere slap on the wrist back in 2005.
00:08:14.780 Robert Mueller's family says that he's too sick with Parkinson's to testify.
00:08:20.480 As Joe Biden himself, who was clearly non-compus mentis virtually during his entire time as president, this sounds like malarkey to me.
00:08:32.120 I do remember that during the congressional hearings in which they tried to reinflate the Russian collusion hoax that Robert Mueller seemed non-compus mentis.
00:08:41.900 When asked specifically about the prosecutor in my case and the fact that she, her name was Jeannie Rhee, had represented Hillary Clinton in the so-called illegal email server case,
00:08:56.380 therefore had a bias against me since I wrote extensively about that case in my book, The Clinton's War on Women,
00:09:04.040 which was an Amazon bestseller, as well as commenting on it in many interviews and print pieces in my website.
00:09:13.200 Mueller said that he was unaware of that.
00:09:15.100 So let me get this straight.
00:09:16.660 Robert Mueller didn't know what his own law partner had done, didn't know that his own law partner had represented Hillary Clinton and therefore had a conflict of interest in my case.
00:09:25.940 No, I believe that the House Oversight Committee has made a mistake in withdrawing the subpoena.
00:09:31.860 In fact, I believe Robert Mueller should be compelled to testify.
00:09:36.100 And if he refuses to do so, well, then he should be charged just like Peter Navarro was.
00:09:42.080 In the meantime, Democrats, state representatives in Michigan are grooming children for transgender mutilation,
00:09:49.720 reaching out directly to kids, telling them they can get their drugs right there in the state.
00:09:55.940 This state representative, Kerry Reagans, said,
00:09:59.640 I am recording a video today to talk to you trans kids here in Michigan.
00:10:03.960 I want you to know that the care you might want for gender affirming care is legal in Michigan and is still continuing in a wide variety of places.
00:10:11.760 The grownups at the University of Michigan Hospital are now under court order or anything.
00:10:16.540 They are choosing to stop providing this care because they're scared of losing millions and millions of dollars from Medicare and Medicaid,
00:10:23.380 which pays a lot of the services at the University of Michigan.
00:10:27.000 So Representative Reagans told children to reach out to her office and she would help them in the grooming process for transgenderism.
00:10:36.140 This is why merely defunding this transgender network is not enough.
00:10:41.860 The proponents of transgenderism, which is, by the way, 0.8 percent of the U.S. population,
00:10:47.740 particularly those who are pushing it on children, must be charged and imprisoned and treated as the sex offenders that they really are.
00:10:56.140 Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders is triggered.
00:10:58.760 You might notice that Bernie Sanders used to criticize millionaires and billionaires, but now Bernie Sanders only criticizes billionaires.
00:11:07.380 Why is that?
00:11:08.500 Well, that's because Bernie Sanders and his wife skimmed millions of dollars from his two presidential campaigns in the form of media placement fees.
00:11:18.560 That means Bernie Sanders is a millionaire.
00:11:21.440 You see, Bernie wants socialism for ye, but not for Comrade Bernie.
00:11:26.040 Comrade Bernie has three vacation homes.
00:11:28.960 He's driving a top-of-the-line Mercedes.
00:11:30.660 You see, this whole nonsense of socialism, that's for the proletariat, but not for Comrade Bernie.
00:11:38.620 When we come back, I want to talk about how Bernie Sanders has been triggered by Robert F. Kennedy's swamp draining at the Center for Disease Control.
00:11:48.040 Bernie Sanders, who, by the way, despite his denials, has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from executives with Big Pharma
00:11:55.360 and is part of the ever-enduring swamp of Washington, D.C.
00:11:59.880 You're listening to The Stone Zone right here on the Red Apple Audio Networks.
00:12:03.980 When we come back, we'll talk about this struggle between Senator Bernie Sanders and these attacks on HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
00:12:13.300 Whatever you do, don't touch that dial.
00:12:15.380 We'll be right back.
00:12:16.220 And also, later in the show, we bring you the former superintendent of the Chicago Police Department, Richard Brzezak,
00:12:24.740 who's going to tell us exactly what's going on in the ground in Chicago
00:12:28.240 and why he supports the idea of President Trump mobilizing the National Guard and sending them to the Windy City.
00:12:36.420 We'll be right back.

00:12:57.440 The Stone Zone, entertaining and informative.
00:13:03.620 On the Red Apple.
00:13:04.640 Welcome back in the Stone Zone.
00:13:06.720 I have to say that in a 50-year career in American politics,
00:13:12.340 I've never seen a phonier, more pompous windbag, a greater loudmouth than Senator Bernie Sanders.
00:13:20.140 And in all honesty, watching his public filings where he says he's only worth $3 million,
00:13:25.460 I kind of doubt that is the case.
00:13:28.140 If you look at the Federal Election Commission reports regarding payments to a company that he and his wife formed,
00:13:34.840 he took far more than that out in terms of payments in media placement fees from his two presidential campaigns.
00:13:42.620 Given the fact that he's actually never had a job in the private sector,
00:13:48.240 that prior to his service in the U.S. Senate, he was the mayor of Burlington, Vermont,
00:13:53.760 I find his filings to be questionable.
00:13:57.360 But now he's attacking the Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy
00:14:02.520 for fulfilling his mandate to drain the public health swamp by firing a trench government bureaucrat.
00:14:09.500 Sanders said,
00:14:10.220 You see, RFK Jr. has been a longstanding opponent to big pharma.
00:14:35.520 Sanders, while proclaiming himself to be a socialist,
00:14:38.760 has actually been one of the biggest single recipients of big pharma campaign dollars.
00:14:44.340 That has caused him to toe the line and refuse to speak to big pharma's immense profit-seeking motives
00:14:49.760 in pushing their unproven, untested, dangerous vaccinations onto the unsuspecting masses of the American people.
00:14:58.300 This is not disputable.
00:15:00.340 The vaccinations went through no clinical trials.
00:15:05.540 Secondarily, those who manufactured the vaccinations had no legal liability.
00:15:11.860 Thus, it is outrageous that Bernie Sanders, who is an immense hypocrite and a total fraud,
00:15:19.360 is attacking RFK, like all socialists.
00:15:22.280 This is why Bernie Sanders, who ran for president as an opponent of war
00:15:29.440 and as an opponent of the trade policies of the previous administration, is such a fraud.
00:15:37.600 It's interesting to me that one out of three Sanders voters ended up voting for Donald Trump in 2016.
00:15:44.880 Yet, they stole the nomination for Bernie Sanders not once, but twice.
00:15:49.240 Yet, he turned around and first he endorsed Hillary Clinton, then he endorsed Joe Biden.
00:15:54.800 So, he has now, I think, been overshadowed by the likes of the Ayatollah Zoran Mamdami,
00:16:02.160 and his movement is being co-opted for those who are more involved in Islamic zealotry.
00:16:07.380 But Bernie Sanders' idea that he's somehow against special interests or dark money,
00:16:14.640 when in fact he is the recipient of both, really an extraordinarily exposed fraud at this point.
00:16:22.880 Thanks for tuning in to The Stone Zone.
00:16:24.620 When we come back, the former superintendent of the Chicago Police, Richard Brezak,
00:16:30.480 joins us to talk about what's going on in the Windy City
00:16:33.500 and why he supports the notion of President Donald Trump moving the National Guard into Chicago
00:16:39.900 to restore safety to that community.
00:16:42.720 We'll be right back.
00:16:46.440 The Stone Zone.
00:16:48.400 Entertaining and informative.
00:16:50.560 On the Red Apple Podcast Network.
00:16:53.420 Welcome back into The Stone Zone.
00:16:55.960 I'm joined now by Richard Brezak.
00:16:58.640 Richard Brezak joined the Chicago Police Department as a simple patrol officer in 1964,
00:17:05.220 rising through the ranks to become the superintendent of the Chicago Police Department
00:17:09.060 from 1980 to 1983, serving under Chicago's last great mayor, Jane Byrne.
00:17:19.520 I'm very honored to have Richard Brezak join us today in The Stone Zone.
00:17:23.540 Mr. Superintendent, welcome to The Zone.
00:17:27.920 Thank you, Roger.
00:17:29.280 It's great to be here.
00:17:30.860 I hear all wonderful things about you and your program,
00:17:34.120 so it's a privilege for me to be here.
00:17:36.420 So I'm very interested in your expert opinion.
00:17:39.820 We saw the statistics over Labor Day.
00:17:42.040 52 people shot, 8 killed, 4 mass shootings.
00:17:46.080 There clearly is a crime problem in the Windy City,
00:17:49.040 even though the current mayor, Brandon Johnson, and Governor J.B. Pritzker seem to want to deny that.
00:17:56.480 The president indicated in comments earlier today that he's made a decision to send the National Guard.
00:18:02.920 He just hasn't decided when.
00:18:05.300 What is your professional assessment of the current situation in Chicago,
00:18:09.340 and how do you feel about this decision by the president?
00:18:13.720 Well, first of all, the current situation in Chicago is a disaster.
00:18:19.640 There's no place even close to it throughout the country,
00:18:22.980 and it has become that way, actually dating back to the second Richie Daly regime.
00:18:30.740 I'm not talking about the father who died in 76.
00:18:34.540 I'm talking about the offspring who became mayor in 89,
00:18:38.280 and then I think he left sometime around 11 or so when Rahm Emanuel took over.
00:18:45.820 There is an inherent dislike of the police by City Hall, starting with Richie Daly.
00:18:52.440 It didn't even happen under Harold Washington.
00:18:54.700 He's the one who started it because he always looked at the police as being potential problems,
00:19:01.700 which he's never brilliant enough to serve or to deal with those problems
00:19:09.780 and to make the appropriate decisions.
00:19:13.700 So we got Daly starting it, and he started it with what are called merit promotions.
00:19:20.040 That means people who can't pass promotional exams are promoted from police officer to sergeant
00:19:27.120 to lieutenant to captain based upon merit.
00:19:30.800 Merit is a euphemism for clout.
00:19:33.800 You have a political sponsor.
00:19:35.900 You can go from police officer to captain without ever passing an exam.
00:19:40.760 So there's no real measure of any degree of competency or intelligence
00:19:45.640 among the supervisory and command staff.
00:19:48.860 I'm not saying all of them are bad, but they have given up those barometers in the interests of politics.
00:19:56.100 As a result, that demoralizes all police officers except the beneficiaries of the political influence.
00:20:05.020 So why should they have an interest in what goes on in the city?
00:20:10.420 They're basically there doing a job, collecting their paycheck, and it's all at a minimum.
00:20:15.820 Now, your comment in the Newsmax publication about their difficulty in getting recruits,
00:20:23.440 people to come into the police department, is nothing new,
00:20:30.100 because they know that the politicians, City Hall primarily, the mayor's administration,
00:20:35.860 is not going to stand behind them.
00:20:37.700 They've been working for at least maybe 10 years, a decade already,
00:20:42.540 under a consent decree that was initiated by the then Attorney General of Illinois,
00:20:49.860 a Democrat Attorney General who's in private practice now,
00:20:55.100 and she is the daughter of the convicted former Speaker of the House who's on his way to the penitentiary.
00:21:02.080 So, you know, the incestual relationships there just go on and on.
00:21:08.920 So what happens is, you know, they don't care about the crime.
00:21:13.580 It doesn't make any difference how many people are shot, how many people are killed,
00:21:18.240 or in any way hurt, injured.
00:21:21.680 Last place I lived in Chicago was in River North, which was an upscale downtown neighborhood.
00:21:27.820 And that place has gone to hell because there is no policing going on.
00:21:35.040 The police don't care because City Hall doesn't care.
00:21:38.120 And, of course, it drives out the businesses.
00:21:40.780 I mean, you see the kind of intellectual acumen you had with Lori Lightfoot when she said,
00:21:47.160 let them riot on the Magnificent Mile.
00:21:50.020 The owners have insurance.
00:21:51.980 Well, Lightfoot's not paying for the insurance.
00:21:54.240 The owners are.
00:21:55.000 And, you know, when you have claims, insurance rates go up.
00:21:58.620 So this thing is a major, major disaster at this point.
00:22:04.580 President Trump, you know, is probably the personification of leadership,
00:22:11.300 especially in the political world.
00:22:13.180 And I think that my statement, you can either look at it as an echo of what some world leaders have said
00:22:20.780 or at least being congruent with what world leaders have said.
00:22:25.400 He is the number one leader in the world and probably of the world right now.
00:22:31.500 And what he is looking at is the neoplasms, the cancers that are in the United States of America.
00:22:42.980 And the tumors, if you look at the map, the real tumors are the blue state major cities,
00:22:50.720 Chicago, New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver.
00:22:56.920 Go right down the line, and they're all controlled by Democrat politicians who, as we know,
00:23:05.880 when you talk about they're denying the crime there, denial is probably their most benign form of lying.
00:23:12.920 They're really good at lying.
00:23:14.440 They're really good at name-calling.
00:23:16.660 You know, if you disagree with somebody because of their skin color, you're a racist.
00:23:20.560 If you disagree with a Democrat on an economic or a social issue, you're a fascist.
00:23:26.000 You know, they've got a whole appendum of words from the vernacular for labeling people.
00:23:33.540 But the problem is, is that they know these words well because they practice it,
00:23:38.600 as opposed to the people that they are accusing of being that.
00:23:43.020 So you've got this disastrous situation, and you had one similar to it in Washington, D.C.,
00:23:49.740 and we all know what the results are.
00:23:52.520 And in Chicago, it's probably worse because it's bigger,
00:23:57.200 and it's been around longer than the problem in Washington.
00:24:01.980 And there's another difference.
00:24:04.200 Mayor Bowser in Washington, I think, jumped on the bandwagon with President Trump
00:24:09.960 and worked to straighten out Washington, D.C. and its crime issue with lightning speed.
00:24:18.100 The thing is, is that in Chicago, which is the nucleus of the new Democrat Party,
00:24:25.160 in the old Mayor Daley, it may have been personified by him
00:24:30.940 because all the presidential candidates came in and paid homage to him for his support.
00:24:36.840 Well, that's been changed because those Democrats, nobody really had an issue with at that time as much as they do now
00:24:44.120 because now Democrat is the euphemism for communists or Marxists or socialists.
00:24:51.060 That's what it is.
00:24:52.300 So, you know, the Democrats today are really insulting the corpses and the souls of Richard J. Daley,
00:25:01.860 Fiorello LaGuardia, people like that throughout the United States.
00:25:06.840 Now, what's happening is Chicago right now is really, you know, putting its chest up against the president's efforts.
00:25:16.820 And what I thought is interesting is that the Chicago Toilet Paper,
00:25:21.500 which is the label I give to the Chicago Tribune,
00:25:24.880 had an editorial sent out by email this evening, which I read,
00:25:28.880 and they're making a point that Pritzker and, let's go, Brandon Johnson are ignoring the crime problem.
00:25:41.640 Well, that's nothing new.
00:25:43.480 I mean, you talk about crime.
00:25:45.840 Pritzker took a bunch of toilets out of a mansion that he purchased,
00:25:49.960 and then he had his mansion reassessed by the county assessor to get his taxes reduced.
00:25:56.960 Here's the guy who's a billionaire, and he's playing a system to get a small break on his real estate taxes.
00:26:03.460 It's criminal.
00:26:04.320 I don't know how you look at it, but everybody got a pass because everything is controlled by the Democrats in Cook County.
00:26:11.480 So you've got that issue.
00:26:12.880 But then you have Brandon Johnson there.
00:26:16.400 You know, the thing is, he should be the poster boy for the Chicago public school system.
00:26:21.740 He went to the Chicago public schools.
00:26:23.940 He taught the Chicago public schools.
00:26:26.620 He was a union rep for the Chicago teachers union,
00:26:32.580 and it was the Chicago teachers union that really got him into office.
00:26:37.080 But he's the poster boy because the school system in Chicago has been a failure for decades,
00:26:43.960 and he personifies that failure.
00:26:47.120 And, you know, what I thought was funny is when he made the comment about President Trump
00:26:50.920 that white men are jealous of the intellectualism of black men.
00:26:58.900 He made that comment about a week or two ago.
00:27:01.320 You know what he never learned wherever he went through school is the motto of the United Negro College Fund,
00:27:09.340 a mind is a terrible thing to waste.
00:27:11.960 And that's what he's doing with his mind.
00:27:13.820 He's wasting it on nonsense because he thinks he's hot stuff.
00:27:18.100 He's the mayor.
00:27:19.480 But they got their chest up because they are the pawns for whom else but Barack Obama.
00:27:27.380 They are the pawns for him.
00:27:29.520 Yeah, I'm in complete agreement.
00:27:31.000 I thought Lori Lightfoot was the worst mayor in Chicago history until this guy got elected.
00:27:36.700 In all honesty, if Brandon Johnson's IQ was one point lower, you'd have to water him like a plant.
00:27:43.040 Three weeks ago, he said that the rising crime problem, I swear to God, it was the fault of Richard Nixon.
00:27:49.820 I have no idea what this guy is talking about.
00:27:52.020 And now he and J.B. Pritzker seem to be in complete denial.
00:27:55.760 Pritzker came out two days ago and said that the crime numbers are coming down when, of course, they're not.
00:28:03.000 I was on a podcast yesterday with a liberal who said J.B. Pritzker should be on Mount Rushmore.
00:28:09.620 I said, if you put Pritzker on Mount Rushmore, there wouldn't be room for anybody else.
00:28:15.000 These people are beyond belief.
00:28:17.960 Last year, pardon me, 2023, there were 225,000 911 calls to the Chicago Police Department that went completely and totally unanswered.
00:28:29.340 That's because, as you underlined, the total number of police officers is down by 1,600 officers because of that consent decree.
00:28:40.160 Nobody wants to apply for these jobs because they know the politicians don't have their back.
00:28:46.300 Nobody wants to become a police officer because they know the elected officials will not stand up for them.
00:28:52.280 Meanwhile, 67,000 criminals skipped out on their subsequent hearings after Illinois followed New York in the disastrous decision to do away with cash bail.
00:29:04.400 Hasn't worked in New York City.
00:29:06.020 Hasn't worked in New York State.
00:29:07.480 Isn't working today in Chicago.
00:29:10.800 J.B. Pritzker thinks he can launch a presidential campaign on the basis of this disaster.
00:29:17.580 My sources tell me that Mayor Johnson is in and out of the hospital constantly with panic attacks brought on by the stress of being mayor of one of the greatest cities in America.
00:29:30.000 Richard J. Daley, not Richie Daley, but Richard J. Daley, Dick Daley, who was mayor during the 1968 Democratic Convention, was one of the greatest mayors in the country.
00:29:40.180 Chicago worked.
00:29:41.600 I say that as a Republican, but you're right.
00:29:43.900 The old Democrat Party, the party of John F. Kennedy, the party of Harry Truman, the party that believed in capitalism, the party that believed in a strong national defense, the party that believed in God, the party that believed in free enterprise, that party no longer exists.
00:30:02.640 That party, thanks to Barack Hussein Obama, has been taken over by a radical clique of Marxists, of which Brandon Johnson is just another member.
00:30:15.100 The Democratic Socialists of America, of which Johnson is affiliated, says in their platform they want to do away with the police.
00:30:23.540 They want to do away with the prison system.
00:30:25.700 They want to do away with the justice system.
00:30:28.520 And that we cannot have true equality as long as we have police officers.
00:30:33.580 This is the ideology of today's Democrat Party.
00:30:37.260 That's what's driving this crime problem in one of America's greatest cities.
00:30:43.180 I'm really honored, Mr. Superintendent, to have you with us today.
00:30:47.900 Richard Brzezak is our guest.
00:30:50.140 You're listening to The Stone Zone right here on the Red Apple Audio Network.
00:30:54.040 When we come back, we're going to dig a little deeper into the so-called code of silence that is part of being a police officer in Chicago.
00:31:03.300 I'm going to ask Richard Brzezak, the former superintendent of Chicago police, to explain this to us and how it has contributed to the troubling lack of public faith in law enforcement in the Windy City.
00:31:16.160 Whatever you do, folks, don't touch that dial.
00:31:18.280 We'll be right back with more right here in The Stone Zone.
00:31:24.040 The Stone Zone, entertaining and informative on the Red Apple Podcast Network.
00:31:31.300 Welcome back into The Stone Zone.
00:31:33.740 I'm joined by the former superintendent of the Chicago Police Department, Richard Brzezak, who has been helping us break down the situation in the Windy City.
00:31:43.860 I want to ask you very specifically, you've spoken publicly about the code of silence being part of a police officer in the city of Chicago.
00:31:54.440 Can you speak to this code of silence and how it has contributed to the troubling lack of public faith in law enforcement?
00:32:01.560 Sure. I don't want to mitigate any of that code of silence, but it's not unique to police.
00:32:10.400 As we all know from the general press, the Roman Catholic Church has had its problems with the code of silence and priest pedophiles.
00:32:22.620 Undertakers take care of the code of silence with the doctors and the doctors' mistakes.
00:32:29.340 You can go anyplace with this stuff.
00:32:32.160 Go to Congress.
00:32:33.160 There's a lot of code of silence going on over there, too.
00:32:35.880 Sure.
00:32:36.400 But with the police, with the police, it basically is that if you see wrongdoing, you look the other way.
00:32:44.740 Okay?
00:32:45.060 You don't report it.
00:32:47.200 And actually, there's a couple of considerations.
00:32:50.840 One is, if you look at Title 18, United States Code Section 4, it's called misprison of felony.
00:32:58.960 If you fail to report the felony of which you have noticed to the nearest U.S. attorney's office, you can be indicted and convicted of that felony.
00:33:09.340 And police officers in Chicago have been convicted of misprison of felony.
00:33:15.060 A code of silence, there was information brought to me back in 1982 regarding the purported mistreatment of two prisoners.
00:33:27.640 I wrote a letter to Daley, who was the state's attorney at the time, the prosecutor.
00:33:33.880 He did nothing.
00:33:35.400 That letter still haunts him to this day, although he's had enough people with powder puffs giving him enough makeup so he looks good.
00:33:44.400 But the thing is, when it comes to code of silence, the classic case in recent memory in Chicago happened under Rahm Emanuel, and Gary McCarthy was the superintendent.
00:33:56.360 A kid by the name of Laquan McDonald was shot 16 times by a single police officer from among 12, 15 police officers at the scene.
00:34:07.780 He was shot, actually, after he went down, you could see the video.
00:34:13.000 He was still shooting him, and the body was bouncing in the street.
00:34:15.900 And what happened there, nobody knew the video was going on because they would deactivate the videos before they went out on the street, and nobody did anything about it.
00:34:26.760 But when this thing happened, Rahm Emanuel paid the family $5 million without a lawsuit being filed.
00:34:33.900 And then they sat on the video until an independent photographer filed a Freedom of Information Act request, which was denied, and a circuit court judge in Cook County granted his petition, said that he's entitled to have the video released to him.
00:34:53.260 Well, the day before they released the video, the state's attorney's office, which is in the back pocket of the politicians in Democrat Cook County, indicted the shooting officer, the officer who fired the shots.
00:35:08.720 And that case was notorious all over the world.
00:35:12.900 There were four other officers, very low-ranking, who got indicted for obstructing justice because they supposedly did something wrong.
00:35:22.380 All of the brass got off the hook.
00:35:25.820 They were permitted to retire and all that without any consequences.
00:35:32.040 McCarthy saw that video, according to what I read, he said, like within 12 hours after the shooting,
00:35:40.620 which would have been about 9, 9.30 the following morning.
00:35:44.920 And yet, nothing was done in that connection with that investigation.
00:35:51.500 That was the kind of investigation where the video told the whole story, and it could have been done within 30 to 60 days.
00:35:59.680 But yet, it went on for a long time because Emanuel was up for re-election.
00:36:05.960 All right, we have to leave it there, I'm afraid.
00:36:08.660 They withheld that for over a year and a half.
00:36:11.740 I want to thank our guest, Richard Brzezak, the former superintendent of the Chicago Police, for joining us today in the Stone Zone.
00:36:17.540 Until tomorrow, God bless you and Godspeed.
