00:00:39.940 But the New York Times had a story today that at first blush seems to be big news,
00:00:46.600 but which upon closer examination seems to say nothing at all.
00:00:51.120 The New York Times reports that people at the highest level of the Trump administration
00:00:56.120 are considering offering Mayor Eric Adams a job in the federal government
00:01:02.700 in return for dropping out of the race.
00:01:05.740 It further says that they are considering making a similar job offer to Curtis Sliwa,
00:01:12.240 the Republican nominee.
00:01:13.500 First of all, of course, what the New York Times doesn't say is that such an offer
00:01:18.720 would actually technically be illegal.
00:01:21.820 I can tell you, because I'm in Washington, D.C., and I checked with individuals at the highest
00:01:28.120 level of the Trump administration, that no such offer has been made to Mayor Adams,
00:01:34.700 nor to Curtis Sliwa.
00:01:37.220 Actually, I reached out to Curtis Sliwa, who released the following statement.
00:01:41.900 The only job I'm interested in is in being the next mayor of New York City.

00:02:49.220 At one point, he actually wrote a story which said that I had been –

00:02:58.660 he refused to accurately report that I received a full and unconditional presidential pardon
00:03:05.340 when President Trump put out a statement saying, well, that I had done nothing wrong.
00:03:11.080 Once again, this is how political rumors start,
00:03:14.040 but you get the stone-cold truth right here in the stone zone.
00:03:19.440 Meanwhile, a federal appeals court has blocked the Trump administration
00:03:23.200 from invoking the Alien Enemies Act to deport illegal aliens
00:03:27.700 believed to be part of the infamous Venezuelan Tren de Agua gang.
00:03:33.420 Circuit Judge Andrew Oldham dissented with the majority ruling, stating that,
00:03:39.480 quote, every president of every political party has enjoyed the same broad powers
00:03:45.300 to repel threats to our nation under the Alien Enemies Act throughout previous administrations.
00:03:52.460 Once again, this ridiculous ruling will likely be appealed
00:03:56.200 and taken all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, where it will once again be reversed.
00:04:02.820 Liberal activist judges can only delay the inevitable for so long.

00:04:38.180 Comer said that more documents are set to be released after redactions
00:04:41.960 to protect the privacy of some of Epstein's victims.
00:04:46.820 I say yet again that it was the Trump administration
00:04:52.780 that charged Jeffrey Epstein in 2019 with child sex trafficking
00:04:57.540 and a second charge of conspiring to engage in child sex trafficking.
00:05:03.000 But there is no question that there was a massive cover-up
00:05:06.860 of Jeffrey Epstein's sex crimes in Florida in 2004 and 5.
00:05:12.740 Now we're told that Robert Mueller, who was then the FBI director,
00:05:18.240 declines to testify and to answer a subpoena from the House Oversight Committee
00:05:23.200 as to why the Department of Justice under U.S. Attorney Albert Acosta
00:05:30.300 and U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez,
00:05:34.060 this was during the George W. Bush administration,
00:05:37.280 gave the pedophile a pass.
00:05:39.260 We do know that the police chief of Palm Beach
00:05:43.100 conducted a six-month undercover investigation into Epstein
00:05:47.960 and turned over to the state's attorney, that's a state official,
00:05:52.280 a state prosecutor for Palm Beach County,
00:05:55.140 a rock-solid case of child sex trafficking involving 33 underage girls.
00:06:01.920 We also know that he turned over a case involving at least 22 underage girls
00:06:08.960 for statutory rape.
00:06:10.560 Yet after Epstein hired Alan Dershowitz, Roy Black, Gerald Lefkort,
00:06:17.480 and other prominent criminal defense attorneys, including Ken Starr,
00:06:22.080 who had been the special counsel on the Whitewater matter,
00:06:26.660 the local prosecutor decided to charge Epstein with one count of solicitation.
00:06:34.260 That's like walking into a bar and trying to pick up a hooker.
00:06:37.140 Only when the police chief objected did the state prosecutor bump that charge
00:06:42.860 up to one count of solicitation of a minor, a more serious charge,
00:06:48.240 but not nearly as serious as child sex trafficking.
00:06:52.820 In any event, Epstein pled guilty.
00:06:55.260 Between the time that Epstein was charged and the time he pled guilty,
00:07:00.980 he made a $25,000 contribution to the Clinton Foundation.
00:07:05.380 And then, of course, Epstein ended up fulfilling his term,
00:07:11.240 serving his term, not in the Florida State Penitentiaries,
00:07:14.440 which are notoriously harsh,
00:07:16.700 but in the air-conditioned confines of the Palm Beach County Jail.
00:07:22.700 Never been an explanation of that.
00:07:25.180 At the time, the U.S. attorney, Alberto Acosta,
00:07:29.220 Alexander Acosta, pardon me, was approached by the police chief,
00:07:34.600 Michael Ryder, who complained that the case had either been fixed
00:07:39.080 because the state prosecutor had either been compromised
00:07:42.480 or he had been threatened.
00:07:44.900 So Acosta conducted his own investigation,
00:07:49.960 whereupon he rubber-stamped the state charges,
00:07:52.500 and then he sealed the entire matter.
00:07:55.960 At the time, the U.S. attorney general,
00:07:58.480 Alberto Gonzalez, was quoted as saying
00:08:00.740 that it was handled in this manner
00:08:02.760 because they didn't want a political circus.
00:08:06.520 This would lead one to believe that Jeffrey Epstein
00:08:09.000 had certain political connections.
00:08:12.000 Now, it was announced by Chairman Comer
00:08:14.600 of the House Oversight Committee
00:08:16.100 that former U.S. attorney Alexander Acosta,
00:08:20.680 who later served as the Secretary of Labor
00:08:24.280 in Donald Trump's first term,
00:08:26.620 but was essentially told to resign
00:08:29.300 after news of his involvement in the Epstein case came to light,
00:08:33.820 is going to testify as well
00:08:35.600 for the House Oversight Committee.
00:08:38.040 It's going to be a very exciting testimony
00:08:39.580 because a lawyer who is a friend of mine,
00:08:42.920 a prominent lawyer,
00:08:44.200 someone whose name you would recognize,
00:08:46.100 member of the Federalist Society,
00:08:48.600 was involved in the preparations
00:08:50.660 for Alexander Acosta's confirmation
00:08:53.600 in the U.S. Senate
00:08:55.380 when he was appointed to the position of Labor Secretary.
00:08:59.560 And in the practice sessions
00:09:01.120 for that confirmation hearing,
00:09:03.220 when the question was posed,
00:09:05.480 what are you going to say
00:09:06.900 when they ask you about your disposition
00:09:09.240 of the Epstein case,
00:09:11.800 Acosta reportedly said,
00:09:13.620 well, I'm going to tell the truth.
00:09:16.100 That the Central Intelligence Agency contacted me,

00:09:21.560 and that I was to seal the case.
00:09:23.960 And that is, of course, exactly what he did.

00:09:29.520 shows that nine days before Epstein's death,
00:09:33.160 the Bureau of Prison assessment of Epstein
00:09:35.160 stated that he did not appear to be an immediate threat
