00:02:41.780And Alberta and Saskatchewan, Alberta's larger, Saskatchewan's smaller, but both of them are, that's where the oil and the gas and the raw earth intramurals are.

00:03:01.280And there are very active movements in both Alberta and Saskatchewan to depend, to seek their independence.

00:05:15.160Because as you've talked about and we've talked about here on the airwaves many times, whether it's AOC or Syed or many other DSA candidates throughout the Democratic Party, Senator Schumer seems to be on their hit list.

00:05:31.300And I want to get your thoughts on Schumer kind of attacking Trump, but really failing to recognize in public the real threat he faces of being replaced from within his own party.
00:05:40.300Chuck Schumer has been spending an enormous amount of time in upstate New York recently.
00:05:43.740This is a man who's running for his life.
00:05:45.880He's also a man who realizes he has overstayed his welcome.
00:05:49.040He recently showed up in the 21st District, where Elise Stefanik is retiring,
00:05:54.480and Anthony Constantino won that Republican primary for a record number.
00:05:59.040There's a local farmer, Blake Jendabean, who's really tried to hide the fact that he supported Kamala Harris.
00:06:07.400He hid that for a while before finally admitting it.
00:06:10.860a huge amount of funding from Governor Kathy Hochul, but he put up a TV spot in which he
00:06:16.560said he would stand up to Kathy Hochul. She immediately demanded that the Democrat candidate
00:06:20.620take that down, showing that she is indeed a popular campaign that's been funded largely by
00:06:25.920people from Washington, New York City, and Hollywood. And Chuck Schumer showed up recent
00:06:31.620there with this rhetoric. You see, what he's afraid of is AOC. Now, AOC is in the catbird seat.
00:06:37.400She can raise the money necessary for a U.S. Senate primary in the Democratic Party in New York State, or she can, of course, run for president.1.00

00:06:49.640But anyone who does not recognize the grassroots appeal among the far left and her ability to raise multi-millions of dollars need to be afraid.
00:07:00.380In all honesty, I think that no white Catholic Democrat primary candidate can win a Democrat primary in New York City anymore, given the vast demographic changes in New York State.
00:07:13.960I think Chuck Schumer is increasing his profile defending the pro-Chinese communist government of Canada in an effort to save his own seat in what I think will be and could be a challenge from AOC.
00:07:29.880Well, Roger, and that leads me to my next question, because you've been involved with Republican politics for so many decades.

00:07:38.220And so you uniquely understand the appeal that especially Republican candidates have to have to win in a general election, especially on the national stage.
00:07:46.380So I want to ask you about how the Democrats are evolving as a party.

00:07:58.580It's talked about in that documentary, and you've talked about many times, how the Reagan
00:08:02.420Democrat was crucial for Ronald Reagan's election in the 1980s, twice, both times Democrats
00:08:10.380left their party to vote for Ronald Reagan.
00:08:13.720In the current day, Roger, do you think it's realistic for Republicans to bank on that?
00:08:17.820And adding to that question, do you think Republicans have effectively countered the
00:08:22.080messaging of the DSA yet heading into the midterm elections?
00:08:26.000It's a two-part question. Let me try to answer it. First of all, the reason that Donald Trump won when Mitt Romney lost and John McCain lost is because Donald Trump has demonstrated this unique ability to vote, to win the votes of blue-collar ethnic Catholic Democrats, which, part of the old Nixon-Reagan coalition who left and voted for Bill Clinton, many of them did not return.
00:08:49.160So he has an ability in the urban areas and in the swing states to attract those voters in a way that others do not have.
00:08:58.800The left wing of the Democratic Party may flourish this summer as fed up liberals in key races.

00:09:51.000So, yes, I think that the Republicans have to do a very job just just pinning the socialist label on Democrats will not do the trick.
00:10:00.300Sadly enough, the polling shows that particularly younger voters don't really understand the difference between socialism and capitalism or they think that socialism may be superior.
00:10:10.720But you have demonstrated another key point is that is there are Trump voters who are not Republican voters and they don't turn out when Donald Trump is on the ballot and he's not going to be off the ballot in this upcoming midterm election.
00:10:25.680So it's up Republicans to use Trump to mobilize those voters.
00:10:31.600This is a difference between broadcasting and narrow casting.
00:10:34.640So I can see Republicans utilizing Trump to reach those Trump voters so they can identify email addresses and voter and mail addresses for and phone numbers for and using them to turn out in a more strategic approach to those voters.

00:13:33.340And one of those candidates that I wanted to ask you about, because it's become such a hot button issue, and I want to preface this by saying, you know, you, Roger, know and I know that there's a lot of Republican strategists out there,
00:13:43.420A lot of people within the political complex of this country that will tell you that, oh, this race is close and that race is close when they know it's not the case because they can make money off of the vast amounts of mailers and political advertising, whether it be through media or on the ground, wherever it may be.

00:14:01.620One of the areas that strategists – I just saw Karl Rove on Fox News talking about – is Texas.
00:14:07.720They're talking about how Texas is so close.

00:14:22.640And a lot of people are saying, Roger, that this could be the year that Texas goes blue.
