00:00:00.000 I want to begin by expressing my sincere gratitude to the government of Canada for this generous grant and it's an investment in our community.
00:00:11.600 In a world full of bad news, war, economic challenges, it's hard to find a good news story.
00:00:18.360 This is a good news story.
00:00:19.520 well welcome back to another episode of the tpl media network podcast and today we're diving into
00:00:34.720 a landmark kind of announcement we had this week from canadian sports minister adam de couberton and
00:00:42.960 it's an exciting time for athletics for athletic development and for sport in canada
00:00:49.120 and today we actually have an amazing guest that's joined us uh former olympian actually actually
00:00:55.200 he's always an olympian i hear um he was in the olympics in 1992 a pole vaulter doug wood
00:01:02.480 and he's from bolton athletics and bolton pole vaults so uh doug welcome to the tpl uh tpl network
00:01:10.160 today yeah thank you ron welcome i'm glad to be here yeah so doug after uh years of grassroots
00:01:17.040 support and fundraising uh you you got a great announcement this week of an 11 million dollar
00:01:24.000 investment into building a new uh high performance center in bolton um how did you feel when you when
00:01:31.600 you got that announcement well we've been working pretty hard to get this all figured out financially
00:01:37.120 and um this kind of came out of left field like we were all along the way lots of people asked if
00:01:42.960 if there is federal money or provincial money available
00:01:45.360 for this, or even local, like municipal money.
00:01:48.360 And I said, well, it's possible,
00:01:50.260 but we're kind of planning on not having it.
00:01:56.440 But this was a targeted grant through Athletics Canada.
00:02:06.180 The ministry or Adam Vancouverton's office
00:02:08.980 approached Athletics Canada and asked if there was a project
00:02:12.960 within their world that they thought would be a valuable asset for track and field in Canada
00:02:20.240 and potentially used as a base for national team athletes to kind of find home or call home.
00:02:32.520 It happened very quickly.
00:02:34.480 I worked with Athletics Canada to provide an application
00:02:38.420 and we met with the federal government's team and the Build Canada Strong Fund.
00:02:43.520 and it was approved very quickly they were looking they really are looking for projects that are
00:02:48.240 shovel ready yeah so ours is very very close to breaking ground so it's a it's a really meaningful
00:02:55.200 and uh and immediate response or immediately recognizable project yeah we've had a bit of a
00:03:02.960 infrastructure deficit right i mean for years athletes have been having to go south or finding
00:03:10.480 places like canadian tires or different things uh to train in uh so this has really come at a good
00:03:17.600 time and uh so what what do athletes been doing like the how are they training when there's no
00:03:24.080 indoor facilities except for york which is full all the time and uh uh u of t which is really for
00:03:31.360 people who go to u of t so what do you do well uh i'm speaking to the announcement yeah when adam
00:03:39.920 spoke at the event and said that this is the biggest investment in athletics since the 76
00:03:46.080 olympics yeah it provides a lot of support and meaning to our project but it's a little sad
00:03:52.080 to tell you the truth that that it's taken 50 years for 40 years 40 years uh no 50 50 years
00:04:00.400 to get to the point where they're they're investing significant money in athletics and i mean in the
00:04:06.080 grand scheme of things yeah 11 million dollars is a lot of money but in the grand scheme of things
00:04:10.480 for canadian athletics it's it's a it's a drop in the bucket considering i think this fund was
00:04:16.400 2.7 billion this make this fund that they've got for for sports um what we've been doing we've we
00:04:26.080 we carve out a little place that we can function we've right we've strived on on uh make things
00:04:35.280 functional um and when i did kind of the needs assessment for this project i phoned 50 track
00:04:41.680 clubs in western part of toronto down to hamilton up to barry right over shelburne small town
00:04:48.480 orangeville guelph kitchener everyone was of the same mind that they basically did what they had
00:04:55.040 to do where do you train now we train in a fitness center a school gym a soccer dome we have it on
00:05:01.840 on Sunday mornings and, but nothing,
00:05:06.440 nothing of any meaningful, reliable access facilities.
00:05:13.080 And they say, well, we'll do everything we possibly can
00:05:15.160 to not go to York because of,
00:05:17.860 not because York is insufficient.
00:05:19.640 York is a great facility.
00:05:21.360 It's a great facility and it serves a large,
00:05:24.640 large community of track and field,
00:05:26.060 but it is overpopulated and almost to the point of,
00:05:31.840 for high performance after say three o'clock every day or maybe a little later it's not
00:05:36.640 you can't function um and it's used for since it's one of their only gems in the
00:05:43.760 track and field cap in can in on in toronto it's hosts i couldn't even guess how many track meets
00:05:51.160 are hosted there in a year where they've rented the facility so the athletes are kind of yeah
00:05:57.440 they are they show up at the door and the door is locked and it says event in progress you're like
00:06:04.320 so it's it's about accessibility not to mention it's open to the public it's right it's nothing
00:06:09.760 wrong with that it's great but there's nothing there's nothing saying that the people that
00:06:14.080 are walking in the front door are track and field people yeah and i understand there's other hockey
00:06:19.760 clubs and soccer teams soccer teams and it's just it's it's great that they're using this
00:06:25.760 infrastructure in this facility but it's it's detracting from the the concept of track and field
00:06:31.920 and um york is only one of the few places in canada and i can only i only think it is maybe
00:06:39.440 the only one that is dedicated track and field it doesn't have a basketball court on the infield or
00:06:44.720 not the round of a soccer field or um but that's something that we've been striving to do is to not
00:06:52.640 be looking at generating revenue from soccer teams and from basketball programs and tennis
00:06:59.920 that's great that they that those venues exist but i believe and we really feel like the athletes
00:07:07.120 deserve a spot that they can show up know what they're expecting when they want to walk in the
00:07:12.080 front door and that everybody there is of like mind yeah that it's a track and field home yeah
00:07:18.160 so a couple years ago you decided that you wanted to make this a reality and really solve this
00:07:24.480 problem so why don't you tell us about how this all came about and then your blueprint what you've
00:07:30.480 come up with which is pretty amazing when you see the the actual designs of what you're going to be
00:07:35.280 building yeah it's pretty exciting so um there are lots of pole vault facilities like backyard
00:07:42.560 pole vaulters that have their a barn and and they run a little program but and we've been doing that
00:07:48.080 for years with in warehouses but we felt like everything we were doing was just bare minimum
00:07:54.720 they didn't have any other we weren't supporting other track and field events we weren't supporting
00:07:59.760 other aspects of our training like running and gymnastics and weight rooms it was all very
00:08:06.240 low budget um right and almost survivalist um
00:08:10.560 um so after the olympics when alicia we got a lot of attention after alicia's bronze medal
00:08:19.080 um on the way home in the airplane we were talking about something and and between the
00:08:26.100 olympics and the diamond league final um which was in the first of september about just over a month
00:08:32.640 a lot happened there was a lot of talk about maybe it is time that with this attention that
00:08:38.880 leash has brought to the community and to our sport right maybe there's an opportunity here
00:08:43.520 and uh incidentally i'm in the i was in the airport on the way home from brussels diamond
00:08:50.960 league and the architect called me out of the blue he says i knew him from a while ago and he said i'm
00:08:56.000 interested in you were talking about a facility there was a little news article about a facility
00:09:00.400 and if there's anything i can do to help let me know so we started talking and and uh the initial
00:09:06.560 plan was to kind of build it where we have our outdoor training facility which is an old dilapidated
00:09:12.000 abandoned 40 year old tennis court um that's got grass growing through the cracks and it hasn't
00:09:18.480 been used for tennis for probably 25 years but it was fine for us we put some storage containers in
00:09:24.480 there and a portable washroom and we have a place to pole vault and that we can kind of call home
00:09:30.640 but again it's very survivalist we don't have any power we don't have a real weight room we don't
00:09:35.520 We don't have any lights, but we survived
00:09:41.520 and we've flourished in that environment.
00:09:43.600 So we were going to build it there.
00:09:45.660 That's town of Caledon land.
00:09:48.340 And we made presentation at town of council,
00:09:50.720 town of Caledon council, very supportive, unanimous,
00:09:57.220 but found that this piece of property was quite small
00:10:00.900 and a little too close to the neighborhood.
00:10:03.140 was right on the back yards of people so the school approached the school board
00:10:08.900 approached this and said would you consider building this on our land
00:10:11.840 because I was keeping them up to date because it was on adjacent to school
00:10:15.920 land and then once that happened then they have a 24 acre piece of property
00:10:22.100 there so that the footprint could change and the practicality changed it's
00:10:27.200 adjacent to an outdoor tract it's beautiful and there's parking is it's
00:10:32.180 just all marries together very very well so it's really it's it's gone from a like a a little seed
00:10:41.060 in your brain to almost ready to break ground it feels like a hundred years but in two years i don't
00:10:47.060 don't think that's a that's a blink of an eye in terms of this kind of planning so yeah pretty pretty
00:10:52.660 bullish on the whole thing absolutely so you've coached uh alicia newman who's a bronze medalist
00:10:58.660 in the olympics and quite an amazing athlete you have a bunch of other athletes and up-and-coming
00:11:02.820 athletes so how will this facility support um track and field and specifically athletics and
00:11:10.020 and field athletics in the future from a grassroots perspective as well as for
00:11:15.380 the olympic greens like a pathway to the olympics well they the uh when we started our pole vault
00:11:22.260 club um 15 years ago it was really too much for one person because we all i have a young family
00:11:29.620 at that point and so there were there were three two of us that started and we were kind of in a
00:11:34.820 similar situation with our families and now it's growing we have three or four coaches um so it's
00:11:41.620 denik rikorka was my coach as well like he coached me for my whole career and uh he's been he's been
00:11:49.780 my partner through this whole venture now and he you know he's done wonders for alicia's um
00:11:56.500 preparation for the games his daughter's up and coming out here now his daughter's really strong
00:12:01.700 just heading off to university this year so um he's a very and you know ron like we've been through
00:12:09.300 track and field in canada and we have a lot of eastern eastern european roots in our sport and
00:12:14.260 some very very meaningful characters that have kind of gone through um track and field in ontario
00:12:21.380 and are and they leave a lasting mark their knowledge and their passion and their and their
00:12:27.620 understanding of the sport so zeke's like that yeah um and their humor and their humor and their
00:12:33.780 their their their fire yeah um so i i i try very hard to put zeke in a situation where
00:12:42.500 his his amazing skills can shine um and it's it's pretty exciting to watch when you see
00:12:49.860 what the kids are our kids that we coach are able to do with his guidance and and i'm i'm helping
00:12:56.100 like i'm a i help technically and i'm a helper administratively a lot but it really is
00:13:02.260 like zeke's magic with pole vault that is doing that side of it but
00:13:07.060 But reaching out beyond track and beyond pole vault,
00:13:10.920 it's obviously, that's one of 40 events.
00:13:13.300 Yeah.
00:13:14.400 It takes a lot of people and a lot of special skills,
00:13:19.000 special knowledge to coach track and field.
00:13:21.040 So we've hired a head coach, a new person.
00:13:25.080 We got a grant from the Ontario Coaching Association,
00:13:28.060 which is amazing.
00:13:30.160 We found a fantastic coach from Red Deer, Alberta
00:13:33.820 that's joining us.
00:13:34.700 He's on his way here right now with his family.
00:13:37.620 three young kids it's a big big move for him it's a big deal for us like we're super excited to have
00:13:42.740 max um and now we're going to start offering like full track and peel program junior developments
00:13:50.340 u14 he's a high jump specialist okay um so he's gonna start a like a little high jump high
00:13:56.740 performance group as well and and then we've we've got throwers in the wings and speed and speed
00:14:03.300 hurdles and there's a distance club and distance middle distance cross-country club in bolton
00:14:08.420 already that's going to kind of marry in so our bolt our bolton athletics kind of vision is
00:14:17.620 athletics for all immediately um so yeah we're we're chasing a lot of ground balls right now
00:14:24.500 yeah so i understand you have a partnership you mentioned it with the school board with
00:14:28.340 humber view specifically yeah and uh i was at that announcement last week which was amazing
00:14:34.500 and i talked to the principal john and he he mentioned how he's wants to evolve that
00:14:40.980 school into a sport academy and i thought that was amazing so yeah so um field district school
00:14:48.420 board's done this in a few locations they've they've looked at opportunities to offer special
00:14:54.740 um special privileges to their students and and a means to kind of make some of these schools stand
00:15:03.140 out they have a great uh football program at clarkson um that's just one of many um but they've
00:15:12.020 done these partnerships with groups to to try to bring a program to them to their student body that
00:15:20.660 that they maybe couldn't do it on their own.
00:15:22.900 And it's a win, win, win for everybody.
00:15:25.560 The community wins, the school board wins,
00:15:27.340 the student wins, and we win.
00:15:29.460 Like we've got access to a great piece of property
00:15:34.380 that ties directly to a student body,
00:15:37.280 an amazing outside facility that's already there,
00:15:40.220 like the track is already there.
00:15:42.380 And I just think it's a match made in heaven
00:15:45.880 and they want to offer,
00:15:47.900 they'll do modified education plans
00:15:50.360 allow track and field students to kind of walk out the door from the school walk across the courtyard
00:15:54.520 and go into the athletics facility and get some expert uh track and field coaching and be done by
00:16:00.920 three o'clock to get on the bus and go home so it's uh there there are lots of programs like that
00:16:06.280 hockey programs gymnastics programs where the people modify their education give these students
00:16:13.000 a leg up in terms of what they can kind of marry athletics and education and the whole
00:16:19.160 system together it makes so much sense yeah i talked to him a little bit about a friend of
00:16:23.720 mine was involved with the national ski academy right collingwood and his daughter ronnie remy
00:16:28.840 went to the olympics twice for canada one for germany uh it's an amazing facility and allows
00:16:34.280 them to train and get and also not you know lapse on their education study and everything else yeah
00:16:40.760 it's pretty exciting and it's a it's it's it's a there's a lot of work to make things come together
00:16:46.520 but it's the good thing about track and field is it's it's not a team it's individuals so you can
00:16:51.960 start with one person and and we did that last year we had a young girl from kamloops that came
00:16:57.480 and went to humber view and billeted with a family very good yeah we coached her in pole vault but
00:17:02.920 now we can start to offer a broader a broader athletic base in terms of and and more attention
00:17:09.560 with we've got paid paid coaching staff instead of just us the volunteers like myself that are
00:17:15.560 running around and trying to go to work and yeah get my son to get my son to the school or whatever
00:17:22.040 i need to do all the other things that go along with having a family yeah so this is not only for
00:17:27.800 elite athletes it's also for development athletes grassroots community events so how will that
00:17:34.360 support those efforts in the area in the bolton area oh it's a massive it's a massive uh untapped
00:17:42.280 resource in our area and even with the bolton pole vault like their original club i would get
00:17:47.800 emails all the time through our little website saying my my two kids my 12 and 11 years 12 and
00:17:54.120 10 year old son and daughter are looking for a place to do track and field yeah where can they
00:17:58.680 go can you do offer a program like that it's like no we don't sorry we're just pole vaulters so i
00:18:04.360 think i did the quick math the other day i think there are 4 000 elementary and high school students
00:18:10.680 in bolton and and three or four surprising this is surprising it's a bedroom community right um
00:18:18.280 so there are several schools and and there is a lot of interest in track and field and um and it
00:18:24.680 can be much more than just a springtime elementary school track meet um so our that's one of our
00:18:32.280 biggest focuses for this indoor we have a warehouse that we're renting in bolton this winter
00:18:36.840 in preparation this hopefully is our last year we're renting a warehouse um but our plan is to
00:18:42.500 have a very robust u14 and junior development general track and field classes throughout this
00:18:50.960 winter and some of those kids will be general track and field and some of them will have a
00:18:55.760 little bit more of a a specific skill set that may lead them to be a hurdle or a high jumper
00:19:03.020 a pole vaulter or a runner yeah and i understand the uh rbc has got a program in place uh picking
00:19:11.900 athletes and yeah really um recommending what area they should be really focusing on so they
00:19:18.860 may be a hockey player and they come in there and they go no you you should be a thrower or right
00:19:23.900 or a shot putter the rpc rbc training ground is that what it's called i think so yeah yeah
00:19:28.300 yeah they do testing they do a bunch of standard tests and look at uh look at some of the um raw
00:19:35.580 data and there are a bunch of a bunch of um kind of non-mainstream sports that really tie into that
00:19:42.540 like bobsled yeah bobsled team seems to always seem to capture there's a there's somebody maybe
00:19:48.300 a little bit bigger size but they're super explosive and really good for 20 30 meters of
00:19:54.620 power and speed um so and track and field people too like there are there are general there are
00:20:00.540 lots of little scholarships that come out of that for tracking like pierce lapage was came out of
00:20:05.260 that program and right world champion in decathlon so they recognized a lot of like he's obviously
00:20:12.380 got a he's a very gifted athlete yeah he got some funding for his training out of that program yeah
00:20:19.100 so you've been raising money now for the last two years really focused within the last year
00:20:24.540 um and you've raised somewhere over i think 1.5 million or something so far and now you have
00:20:29.740 this 11 million what's the ultimate goal to build this facility um well that that's a
00:20:37.900 it depends on who you ask okay um we had to put together a like a hire a cost consultant
00:20:44.700 to put together like a third party um budget for the grant for the federal government they
00:20:52.940 wanted something at arm's length from us and and uh there's there's companies that do certified
00:20:58.620 quantity they're qualified or they're they're quantity surveyors um and with that and carrying
00:21:05.820 the contingencies that they wanted us to carry in the pricing it was 27 million dollars my budget
00:21:12.780 all along has been based on about two to three hundred dollars a square foot which for 60 000
00:21:20.540 square feet it should be 12 to 18 million so that's the number looking at fair market value
00:21:27.820 right now for for warehouse space which is really what this is it's a warehouse it's being built like
00:21:33.260 a warehouse it may be a bit fancier on the front end yeah it's yeah it's prettier and the floor
00:21:38.300 surface will be a bit more expensive obviously and probably a little bit more upscale heating
00:21:44.700 and air conditioning system so it's not a it wouldn't be on the lower end of the warehouse
00:21:49.340 structure so our goal our goal was to be our thought was it'd be around 15 15 million um
00:21:58.140 and if that's if i was building it myself and that's working trying to figure out the best
00:22:02.380 way to do this and with trade support yep um so and our grant with the government is based on
00:22:09.980 a percentage of our cost right so if i save 10 million dollars in construction i'm giving up
00:22:14.780 four million dollars worth of potential uh recovery from the government because it's 40
00:22:20.220 of our costs but um there's a lot of trade uh uh um donations in kind that will happen throughout
00:22:29.260 this because they're very supportive and bolton is a very you've had some already right yeah big
00:22:33.820 time yeah and bolton is a very big um it's a home for a lot of corporate like downtown
00:22:40.300 high-rise construction companies that have been that i've known for years so luckily i have a
00:22:45.420 good relationship with a lot of trades that are going to be supportive and bolton is
00:22:50.140 um they recognize the value of this like this community they the construction community really
00:22:56.300 recognizes the value of this so we've raised 1.5 cash we spent half a million dollars so far on
00:23:03.740 consultant fees and and all kinds of tests and surveying and and geotechnical archaeological like
00:23:11.580 all kinds of reports um um and we we've got several kind of unquantified donations that'll
00:23:23.500 happen as in kind i anticipate it'll be five to six million dollars in donations in kind
00:23:28.540 throughout construction um so we're still short we're still short but we've absolutely got enough
00:23:34.140 to get started and we've absolutely got a great resource in the federal government being very
00:23:40.780 supportive of this and they are making application now for ontario funding very good um so yeah it's
00:23:47.660 going to be it's i i don't think i'll ever get to the point where i say i've got enough money
00:23:52.540 um because if we ever had anything left over we're going to have a lot of programming needs
00:23:58.760 at the beginning of this and yeah and we've what the reason we've hired max our head coach now is
00:24:05.580 because we thought we don't want to build this beautiful facility and then walk in the door on
00:24:10.960 day one and say okay now what get caught up right yeah like how are we how are we going to fill this
00:24:16.100 place with people so let's get a head start on that right let's build a program let's start putting
00:24:21.060 bodies in through the doors of our our facilities now and then when this new place opens that'll
00:24:28.020 we can walk in the door with a with somewhat of a need of our own beyond our pole vault group
00:24:33.780 sure so yeah lots lots to do so if you think about this facility is you're going to have
00:24:40.260 weight rooms and meeting rooms and i believe you'll even have an area for physiotherapy
00:24:46.500 and athletic athletic therapy that's amazing and so um maybe kind of explain more about that and
00:24:54.740 and what that looks like yeah um we started smaller started on the town of calvin land
00:25:01.460 that we had room for about 25 000 square feet and then we grew when we got out onto the school land
00:25:07.780 because we had more space um and originally the concept was kind of a power speed facility like
00:25:15.060 straight away and maybe a u-shaped 150 meter spot that you could run some faster tempo or something
00:25:23.140 um and then long horizontal all the horizontal jumps high jump shot put pole vault like not
00:25:29.060 really thinking about the concept of actually being able to provide a home for all track and
00:25:35.460 field events right um and we kind of grew to about 50 just over 50 000 square feet and realized when
00:25:42.340 we drew an oval in there that we were very very close to actually meeting the standards of the
00:25:48.180 world athletics association for an indoor track so we we grew another five five thousand square
00:25:56.980 feet it sounds like and between 55 and 60 it doesn't sound like a big deal i mean if you're
00:26:01.860 building a house 5 000 square foot house is big yeah but it was very logical because now we actually
00:26:07.620 have a 200 meter oval that you can run and you can run fast on you can run in spikes and we have an
00:26:12.980 80 meter straight away for six lanes for sprints and we have two pole vault runways we have a
00:26:19.620 a triple long jump runway a shot put sector a good high jump apron and beautiful weight room
00:26:25.140 um and uh then we have a mezzanine area because since we have the x we have the height in the
00:26:31.380 field house it didn't make sense to make the washrooms 25 feet high right so um we have three
00:26:38.420 classrooms upstairs because that's part of like we can serve some of the schools school and for
00:26:45.780 for training for coaches and officials and running clinics it's great to have classrooms there's a
00:26:52.100 large area that kind of set aside for a i some of um i'm not sure it would be a tenant but it's
00:26:58.900 possible that you can have a physio clinic or some sort of break it up into some sort of
00:27:05.380 service rooms and then there's a gallery and a lounge and yeah it's it's it's pretty self it's
00:27:11.780 pretty self-sufficient now what are what's what's the next step so this is going to be built in
00:27:18.100 about a year i guess yeah yeah what's the next steps to getting there um we've we've spent the
00:27:23.620 two years doing what's called site plan approval which is not necessary if you're just building a
00:27:31.140 house usually because the houses you know the building code kind of gives you the stipulations
00:27:36.100 of what you can do and then your zoning and planning act can kind of tell you what you can do
00:27:43.220 well there's a little bit more involved in this in terms for zoning and planning and even
00:27:48.020 infrastructure roads um municipal services so we go through the spa process that's what two years of
00:27:56.100 work has been so far and that got kind of you do your sewer designs and your water design fire safety
00:28:02.500 fire route um size location so we've landscaping like we've got a full set of plans that have been
00:28:11.220 approved and we're final comments on that are due september 11th um we're finished it was just a
00:28:19.140 final new comment so then you go into an agreement a site plan agreement which basically gets attached
00:28:25.780 to your your the title of the property and says here you have approval to do this and then so
00:28:32.180 we're like basically on september 10th i'm walking in the door with our building permit application
00:28:36.980 which has our fire and life safety our mechanical systems our electrical systems our structural
00:28:41.940 design and our architectural design to the obc under a building code and you walk in the door
00:28:46.580 with that and say with in conjunction with the site plan it should be a matter of a month to
00:28:52.420 turn around to get a building permit and then away you go and the town's been supportive
00:28:58.100 in terms of fees and kind of recognizing that this is this is something that let's let's just
00:29:03.540 just let's just get it going and then we'll sort out the money later which is great they've been
00:29:08.140 very supportive so we're hopeful to have a presence there as soon as october putting up fence and
00:29:15.700 like starting to work on power and an office and there's a road we have to build to get onto the
00:29:21.600 site so that's that's that's where we're going pretty soon well that's amazing and um so listen
00:29:29.760 and i want to thank you for coming today oh my gosh my pleasure and um if someone wants to donate
00:29:35.360 to help you know with raising funds where do they do what do they do and where do they go
00:29:40.640 well they can there's several avenues um like we are still looking for naming partners if somebody
00:29:47.440 really wanted to get super involved and uh look at naming the facility or naming a portion of it
00:29:52.880 even of our athlete lounge or the field house or whatever the weight room potentially we could even
00:29:57.760 and name those they can reach directly out to me my contact information as well as donation
00:30:03.360 a link to donating through the charity you can get a charitable receipt is on our website at
00:30:10.300 boltonathletics.ca i always get that mixed up is it ca or boltonathletics.ca is it ca yeah yeah

00:30:29.220 with them that they'll redirect that money to our capital project so you can write this off
00:30:33.940 totally write it off like you get a legit tax receipt for your personal taxes yeah and if
00:30:39.140 there's something more significant we can we can look at sponsorship agreements and we can look at
00:30:43.940 naming rights if there's corporate involvement we're open to anything we'll take your empties
