00:00:00.000 Charlie Kirk is the single biggest reason why we are doing Unify Canada right now. He was our
00:00:05.660 inspiration. He opened our eyes to the situation on our campuses and to see that honest debate can
00:00:16.160 change minds. That is honestly why we're doing this. He opened our eyes and inspired us to do
00:00:25.180 debates because we saw the impact that he had on the U.S. election. And our political activism story
00:00:35.920 really only started on July 13th, 2024, when Donald Trump was almost assassinated.
00:00:46.060 That really started us looking at the U.S. election and watching how things were playing
00:00:51.640 out there. And one of the people that we started watching around that time was Charlie Kirk. We
00:00:58.020 hadn't heard of him before, but when we began to watch things from Fox News and about the
00:01:06.120 assassination attempt and the RNC and stuff, we actually heard about Charlie Kirk. And I think
00:01:11.160 he might have even spoken at the RNC. And we saw Charlie Kirk on these campuses and him debating.
00:01:16.820 and probably one of the first videos we ever watched of him was his Jubilee debate with,
00:01:22.180 I think it was 25 woke students, and we saw him debating, and then that really got us
00:01:28.380 into watching his channel and his podcast and his debates, and he opened our eyes to
00:01:35.680 what Honest Debate could do, and one of the most impactful things that we remember about
00:01:40.560 him was his election night podcast and seeing how invested he was in the US election. And
00:01:49.120 yes, that was the podcast that we watched that election night. And we really saw how invested
00:01:58.140 he was in that election. And we wanted to be that invested in a Canadian election and really have
00:02:05.500 that impact in Canada. As we came to see things in Canada, we saw that there was no one doing the
00:02:10.520 debates on our campuses in Canada. So he opened our eyes to the fact that no one was doing these
00:02:17.320 debates in Canada. So that's, he was the reason, watching him was the reason that we started Unify
00:02:23.340 Canada. In March of this year, that's what we started doing when the weather was, yeah, March
00:02:29.760 the 10th. That was our, that was the day that we began to do debates and to, well, I guess they
00:02:37.200 weren't debates in the beginning, they were interviews, but it was, the whole idea was to
00:02:43.920 learn how to interact with these students and learn how to change minds. And I'd like to think
00:02:49.320 that we've changed a few minds with probably the hundreds of people that we've talked to since
00:02:53.560 March. But yes, that's the reason that we started. There were so many things that we admired about
00:03:02.500 Charlie Kirk. His faith, his ability to debate, the fact that he inspired so many people to stand
00:03:09.340 up for their faith and to stand up for his country. He was truly an amazing man. And he's inspired so
00:03:15.860 many people to seek God too. And the impact that he's had on his nation is incredible, but his
00:03:25.360 reach doesn't stop there because he's impacted so many people in Canada. And I honestly did not
00:03:30.920 know that until just recently, but it's actually amazing the impact that he's had on the world,
00:03:39.540 and honestly, it doesn't even stop at this continent either. There's so many people who
00:03:43.020 knew about him in the UK and everywhere else. Yes, and we'd like to think that if a tall kid
00:03:51.200 from Chicago could impact America to that extent, then what could three homeschooled kids from
00:04:00.000 from Ontario. What could they do? So that is the reason why we're doing this. And
00:04:07.040 his impact and what he's done for the world will not stop here. Honestly,
00:04:16.900 the left has no idea what they've done. They have immortalized him. When you kill someone like that,
00:04:24.420 you immortalize them. Like, I know Martin Luther King Jr. is not quite the right comparison to
00:04:32.040 draw with Charlie Kirk, but like someone like JFK, they're absolutely immortalized. And
00:04:37.860 yeah, someone like JFK or Abraham Lincoln, they're absolutely immortalized.
00:04:45.180 And I may not be a prophet, but I do think he's going to go down in history as
00:04:49.240 one of the greatest political movers in probably world history.
00:04:57.080 And we won't see the full impact until many years from now, but...
00:05:07.540 Yeah.
00:05:08.860 and this does not deter me or stop any of us or make us think twice about what we're doing in
00:05:19.800 Canada um obviously now we'll be a little bit more cautious but
00:05:24.180 no this has not stopped us this is this is not going to slow us down at all and
00:05:32.040 our thoughts and prayers go out to Erica Kirk and to his children and to all his close
00:05:37.160 friends and relatives and the whole Turning Point organization. Thank you guys for all that you're
00:05:45.480 doing and all that you've done. Anyway, Charlie Kirk, he will live on, that's for sure.
00:05:54.680 It doesn't feel fitting to say like, subscribe, and comment. It doesn't feel fitting, but
00:05:59.820 if you want to do that go ahead it will definitely help us out here but I think this is going to be
00:06:07.920 a turning point not just for the United States but for Canada as well and I hope it will be
00:06:14.600 a unifying point as well anyway fight on guys bye
00:06:29.820 You
