Unify Action - He Thought Doing This Would End 'Corporate Genocide'

00:00:00.000 You know, I did boycott for the situation happening in Gaza and the Palestinian people. 1.00

00:00:06.080 Now I'm back to square one because they are all unfortunately dead. 1.00

00:00:10.120 What do you mean by socialism as a scam?

00:00:12.760 I mean like the economic system, the political system called socialism.

00:00:16.500 I mean, it doesn't work. It doesn't deliver what it says it will.

00:00:19.960 So, what other systems do you work for?

00:00:23.460 Capitalism is better.

00:00:25.100 Capitalism?

00:00:25.760 Yes.

00:00:26.160 i mean if you look at the number of people that socialism and communism outright killed

00:00:31.100 it's like over a hundred million but don't you agree that there's always going to be someone

00:00:35.720 who takes more power than they need right and that yeah absolutely and that's why we shouldn't

00:00:42.600 have socialism because there's going to be those greedy prideful human beings that want to take

00:00:48.020 advantage of that system right because when you give the government all that power there's going

00:00:52.200 to be that that one person or more than one person who's like oh hey i can take advantage of this

00:00:57.100 right but even with laws in place how can capitalism be that perfect world

00:01:05.340 okay so i think a lot of people misunderstand capitalism right so capitalism is just the

00:01:12.800 freedom of choice right so it's like it's walking into a supermarket and going oh these strawberries

00:01:18.800 are five bucks but these ones are three i want the ones that are three bucks right it's your

00:01:23.380 you're choosing based on what you want where you want better quality or cheaper price right

00:01:27.380 so that is capitalism in essence right and so when someone provides a good or service that's

00:01:33.900 like reasonable like we like their good or service like say amazon they've done it at scale really

00:01:39.940 well they've they've filled the need right and they've done that on a mass scale so that is

00:01:46.680 capitalism in essence and we've rewarded them for it no one has been exploited by buying something

00:01:53.180 from amazon right because it's something we want they have i mean like we might have been they

00:01:59.040 might have lied and that's what customer service is for my thing is how can you trust that each

00:02:05.400 company will play by the rules and not try to find a loophole to keep the wealth right so

00:02:14.160 when when you have this exchange of goods right it's like mutually beneficial right so like when

00:02:22.040 when you bought your smoothie from starbucks like it was mutually beneficial they got your money and

00:02:26.800 you got your nice delicious drink right so that's the same with anything like amazon and a lot of

00:02:32.580 people point to like their work conditions or the the wages and that is actually i they shouldn't be

00:02:39.600 exploiting their workers if their work conditions are bad then that needs to be fixed right and

00:02:43.340 that's actually that's incentive for employees to leave and for them to lose workers until they

00:02:48.600 fix their conditions right yes but strikes are already a thing there are already unions and

00:02:57.820 strikes what are there's just no sure way of saying that these people after they leave this

00:03:06.140 job are going to be able to still lead fulfilling lives especially when we're in a market and like

00:03:13.560 a place where there's no real system even with the capitalism like we're facing right now

00:03:18.820 even if I were to go buy another Starbucks drink I don't know where that money is going to

00:03:23.720 maybe that company is using it for something that would not benefit me and then for the long run

00:03:29.560 Because it is a fair deal, my life is then, what's the word I'm looking for?

00:03:40.880 Harmed in a way?

00:03:43.380 Well, I mean, if it's a fair deal, I wouldn't say your life is harmed.

00:03:47.580 I mean, but why should the money I'm putting into these services be put elsewhere in a way that I don't agree with?

00:03:56.560 like I'm going to vote for something I agree for you know why should I have to deal with

00:04:05.960 the consequences of the person I'm putting that money to not being the person who by law should

00:04:12.680 be the person that I see that I'm putting this money to you know I know that didn't make any

00:04:17.380 sense I'm so sorry but you you want the people that you give your money to to have integrity

00:04:22.460 yes right or just like be morally upstanding people like i'm not saying everybody's perfect

00:04:31.780 obviously everybody has their flaws but if socialism is the way and we're already so

00:04:40.260 deep in capitalism to the point where honestly this planet is probably not going to survive

00:04:48.160 us what is the real answer right so see i struggle with i i am a christian so i don't see human

00:04:59.660 beings as perfect so like with imperfect human beings there can be no real perfect system right

00:05:05.980 so we all we have is trade-offs and i see socialism as actually being a worse trade-off

00:05:10.700 than capitalism right so we should work to perfect capitalism and work to improve the

00:05:18.120 companies that we're giving our money to right and if a better company comes along and they look to

00:05:23.740 have like more morals better services then we would give our money to them and the people that

00:05:29.380 are really bad and we realize oh wait like everyone is saying oh my goodness let's say

00:05:34.740 starbucks is really bad and they're like they're exploiting workers or something like that then

00:05:38.780 we're gonna immediately go okay you know what let's boycott like boycott product boycotts do

00:05:44.340 work right and companies are like okay we gotta fix this up we gotta make ourselves better right

00:05:51.200 that's kind of people voting but you know i did boycott for the situation happening in gaza 0.98

00:05:59.120 and the palestinian people and now i'm back to square one because they are all unfortunately 1.00

00:06:05.700 dead and i feel like that is a harsh reality we're going to have to face i know but like a lot of 0.73

00:06:11.820 these companies that are killing people and taking lives right but regardless if it's for

00:06:16.260 financial benefit or social benefit it is a callous and cruel corporate world so i mean

00:06:24.480 there's really nothing that into power how can we you know who am i to say that the judge who's

00:06:31.500 going to persecute the ceo of starbucks is going to put him away for good and he's not going to be

00:06:36.800 able to find a way right and that's more where we need to actually like that's the government once

00:06:43.660 you get to like the judicial system that is the government and socialism really in essence is more

00:06:49.340 government so if government is bad with capitalism it would be worse with socialism right because

00:06:55.360 there's like less of a check right right so i i don't see socialism as the perfect solution

00:07:03.220 or even like a good solution okay right because socialism is a monopoly just a government-run

00:07:10.040 monopoly right and when you give the government that much power you can't expect them to be good

00:07:16.320 people if they're not good people with capitalism where our money can be directed in different

00:07:20.620 insurrections, they're not going to be good people with socialism, right? That's my bit.
