00:00:00.000 Since 2005, every year in the month of December, I would gather my executives and rent a house
00:00:27.040 and take everybody there, and we'd spend two and a half days there, and we'd be talking about what we've done right the year prior,
00:00:33.760 what we've done wrong, and what we can do to improve, and we would watch a movie together.
00:00:38.880 And the movie at the end, I would narrate the movie, and I would intentionally pick a movie that we would watch
00:00:43.280 that had to do with where we were at that point of the game.
00:00:47.060 Today, if I was the president of the United States of America, and I could pick one movie for everybody to sit at their home,
00:00:55.880 with their family, with their friends, with their kids, with everybody to watch, would be Remember the Titans.
00:01:02.640 And let me explain to you why Remember the Titans.
00:01:05.060 Just this past weekend, I brought my kids up, because I've been going through all these other things,
00:01:10.080 and they're asking all these questions that they're going to school, because everybody's asking about,
00:01:13.780 Daddy, what's Black Lives Matter? Daddy, what's this going on in America?
00:01:17.360 Daddy, what's protesting? What's right? They're six and eight years old, but they're talking about in school.
00:01:22.580 I said, let's watch a movie together here. This movie's going to explain everything that's going on in America today.
00:01:27.660 We turn on Remember the Titans with Denzel Washington.
00:01:30.980 It's a story of a coach, Coach Boone, who goes and takes over another coach's job,
00:01:36.780 that's a legendary coach, at the time Coach Yost, and they come in, and they say,
00:01:42.100 listen, we need to get a black coach, and they bring in Denzel.
00:01:45.400 And there's this scene that they're going back and forth, and they say, I'm hired as the head coach now.
00:01:52.020 Coach Boone, which is Denzel, says, I would like you to be my assistant coach.
00:01:57.060 He says, let me get this straight. I'm the last head coach.
00:02:00.260 I've done a lot of great things here. You want me to be your assistant coach?
00:02:03.180 He says, yes.
00:02:04.220 He leaves. He says, there's no way in the world I'm going to coach for you.
00:02:06.140 He leaves, and it was long story short.
00:02:07.900 The Whites, who were following his lead, said, there's no way we're going to play for him.
00:02:12.380 And they all say, if you leave, we're leaving, we're not playing, okay?
00:02:16.520 And he says, no, I'm not going to coach you. I'm going to go to a different place.
00:02:18.640 I'm about to accept the job, and they have a town hall meeting with the parents and all this other stuff.
00:02:22.160 And he says, you cannot leave, and all the players, we're going to sit it out this year.
00:02:25.700 And the parents say, my son's going to sit out.
00:02:27.720 This kid stands up. Ryan Gosling stands up.
00:02:29.560 All these actors stand up, right?
00:02:31.680 And then he realizes, if he leaves, these kids are going to step down and not play.
00:02:36.700 And if they step down, many of those seniors are not going to get a scholarship to go play.
00:02:40.400 Some of them were All-Americans.
00:02:41.480 So he could potentially ruin these kids' lives.
00:02:44.260 So he sucks up his ego, goes to his daughter, decides, you know what?
00:02:48.380 I'm going to go and be the assistant coach.
00:02:50.500 So then there's a scene where Denzel shows up with his assistant coach,
00:02:54.560 and he's talking to all the players, and the guy's bragging, I'm the running back.
00:02:57.360 I'm this, I'm that.
00:02:58.340 And then all of a sudden, Coach Yost comes in, interrupts.
00:03:01.100 Whites on one side, blacks on the other side.
00:03:03.720 He pulls him aside, said, don't you ever embarrass me again in front of my players,
00:03:06.940 and come interrupt my entire meeting that I'm having.
00:03:09.700 And then they're going back and forth, back and forth, back and forth.
00:03:12.180 And he says, listen, you can be my assistant coach.
00:03:16.320 He says, you run offense?
00:03:18.000 He says, you run offense?
00:03:19.280 I run defense.
00:03:19.920 He says, no, no.
00:03:20.820 You run defense through me because I am still the head coach.
00:03:24.400 There's all these differences.
00:03:25.740 He wanted to let him know that even though you were the coach before, I'm the head coach now.
00:03:30.800 Everything flows through who?
00:03:32.140 Through me.
00:03:32.580 Okay, great.
00:03:33.040 Back and forth, back and forth, back and forth.
00:03:36.080 Then comes the magical scene.
00:03:37.480 Here's what the scene is.
00:03:39.220 They're lined up.
00:03:40.440 All the players show up.
00:03:41.820 The whites, the blacks, everybody shows up, and they're lined up to go on the bus to go
00:03:46.420 to camp.
00:03:47.940 And the coach, Denzel, shows up with his briefcase, and everybody's there.
00:03:52.120 While he's about to get on the bus, this player shows up to him.
00:03:55.520 His name is Jerry.
00:03:56.480 He shows up with the other teammate.
00:03:58.440 And he says, hey, I just want to make a couple things straight with you.
00:04:01.180 He's facing a white guy.
00:04:03.280 Faces Denzel.
00:04:04.600 He says, I'm going to make a couple things straight with you.
00:04:06.300 I'm the only All-American you got on this team.
00:04:08.860 I want to pick the players on defense, and you do what you need to do and get out of our
00:04:12.220 way.
00:04:13.040 He says, what's your name?
00:04:14.340 He says, my name is Jerry.
00:04:15.620 He says, what's your name?
00:04:16.780 My name is Ray, his friend.
00:04:18.280 He says, I'm sorry, so Jerry and Dean?
00:04:19.640 He says, no, Jerry and Ray.
00:04:20.680 He says, no, all I heard is Jerry and Ray.
00:04:22.040 Jerry and Dean.
00:04:23.060 He says, you know what?
00:04:24.260 This is, this is, you're Jerry Lewis.
00:04:26.820 Jerry Lewis, folks, I have Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin here, the two comedians.
00:04:33.860 This is, everybody, look over.
00:04:35.680 These are, these are funny guys, right?
00:04:37.820 Everybody's like, what is going on?
00:04:38.660 No one's laughing.
00:04:40.900 He says, let me get this straight.
00:04:42.820 You think, you make the rules here?
00:04:44.020 He says, yes.
00:04:44.460 He says, are your parents here?
00:04:45.460 He says, yes.
00:04:45.900 He says, look at your parents.
00:04:47.400 Where are they at?
00:04:47.960 He says, right there.
00:04:49.080 So, look at your mommy and your daddy.
00:04:50.820 He looks at the mommy and daddy.
00:04:52.460 He says, is that your daddy?
00:04:53.700 He says, yes.
00:04:55.080 He says, for the next two weeks, when you go on this camp, guess who's your daddy?
00:04:59.360 Me.
00:05:00.500 Who's your daddy?
00:05:01.760 I'm your daddy.
00:05:02.920 Say who's your daddy.
00:05:04.200 Who's going to be your daddy?
00:05:05.320 If you want to play on my team, I'm your daddy.
00:05:08.120 That's not your daddy.
00:05:09.360 I'm your daddy.
00:05:10.300 Do I make myself clear?
00:05:12.520 Yes.
00:05:13.380 Now, get on the bus.
00:05:15.180 They head on the bus.
00:05:16.140 And the other guy, Ray, didn't have his tie fixed.
00:05:17.720 He says, fix your tie before you get on the bus.
00:05:20.420 And they get on the bus.
00:05:22.080 Then he goes on the bus.
00:05:23.180 He sees white guy sitting on one side, black guy sitting on another bus.
00:05:27.020 He gets pissed off.
00:05:28.200 Beautiful scene.
00:05:29.240 Everybody off the bus.
00:05:30.760 Everybody gets off the bus.
00:05:32.500 He says, here's how this is going to be.
00:05:34.320 Defense on that bus.
00:05:36.000 Offense on this bus.
00:05:37.400 Go.
00:05:38.100 They go inside.
00:05:38.860 Sit on the bus.
00:05:40.280 Uncomfortable scene.
00:05:41.600 One of the players that always wants to break the ice, he starts singing, right?
00:05:44.960 And the other guy says, this is not the time to sing.
00:05:48.220 The All-American guy says, yeah, I don't want to hear your guys sing.
00:05:50.680 He says, you shut up as well.
00:05:52.180 Pretty heated.
00:05:52.740 The two main alpha guys on the team that are playing defense, right?
00:05:56.360 They go to the camp.
00:05:57.880 Obviously, it's crazy stuff that happens at the camp.
00:06:00.380 They're going back in for a lot of beautiful scenes.
00:06:02.300 Fight breaking out in the locker room.
00:06:03.900 One guy says, take down that poster.
00:06:05.580 Here, I ain't going to look at that poster for two weeks.
00:06:08.000 It says, then look away.
00:06:09.380 He says, I'm telling you, boy, take that poster down.
00:06:11.100 I say, I'm not taking the poster down.
00:06:12.540 Fight the two defensive guys.
00:06:13.980 They're going out.
00:06:14.400 It's a beautiful scene.
00:06:15.780 Ryan Gosling comes.
00:06:16.800 Fight, fight, fight.
00:06:17.720 Everybody comes in.
00:06:18.820 Going crazy.
00:06:19.940 Coach shows up, holds a meeting.
00:06:21.620 He says, what do you think you guys are doing?
00:06:22.760 Tough guys?
00:06:23.980 You're tough guys with all these scratches?
00:06:26.460 Here's what's going to happen.
00:06:27.360 And he sets the tone with everybody.
00:06:29.020 He says, this ain't no democracy.
00:06:30.780 This is a dictatorship.
00:06:32.420 I tell you what to do.
00:06:34.260 That's how this thing flows.
00:06:35.580 He managed expectation right off the bat.
00:06:37.640 Now, this is a time when, when he moved in the community and he's going into his house,
00:06:42.560 the neighbors are looking over saying, are those the movers?
00:06:45.420 Because they're all white.
00:06:46.280 He moves into a white community.
00:06:47.780 He says, no, honey, those are not the movers.
00:06:49.580 They're apparently moving to that house right across.
00:06:51.940 No, babe, they cannot be moving because they're black.
00:06:54.260 So, oh my gosh, they're moving.
00:06:55.680 They're moving over here.
00:06:57.160 Catastrophe, as if, right?
00:06:58.140 Somebody's moving in your community.
00:06:59.340 They go to the camp.
00:07:01.160 This guy breaks every single mindset they had.
00:07:07.260 Whites against blacks down.
00:07:08.720 He breaks everything down.
00:07:11.000 All of it is gone.
00:07:12.340 Takes them to all these different places.
00:07:14.140 Gettysburg, all these places.
00:07:15.400 Tell the history of America.
00:07:17.640 Whites, blacks, everybody that's played an important role.
00:07:20.540 Then they're having fun.
00:07:21.940 Then they get back.
00:07:23.380 Parents show up.
00:07:24.580 The buses return.
00:07:25.940 They're lining up.
00:07:27.040 The kids get out of the car.
00:07:28.880 They forgot about white and black.
00:07:30.720 You know what happens?
00:07:32.500 Everybody's having fun until they look at their parents.
00:07:35.640 And parents are like, what are you guys doing?
00:07:37.780 Why are you guys getting along?
00:07:39.440 And then immediately, to please their parents, they went back to realize, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:07:44.620 Whites, blacks.
00:07:46.140 How crazy is that, right?
00:07:48.000 You know how I'm talking about this whole media detox thing?
00:07:50.140 This is why I'm talking about this media detox thing.
00:07:52.520 There's a couple events that took place with the whole NASCAR issue that came out with a guy talking about the noose and all these other things.
00:07:57.820 And the FBI does the investigation saying that's in every single NASCAR.
00:08:00.600 That's in every single, what do you call it, garages that's in place.
00:08:03.220 Do you know the whole story with Jussie Smollett when Dave Chappelle came out and said, I didn't talk about it because let me get this straight.
00:08:08.240 You're in the middle of the night, 2 o'clock in the morning.
00:08:11.060 Two African guys with a MAGA hat are going to come and hit you.
00:08:14.380 Really?
00:08:14.620 Is that the story?
00:08:15.340 I didn't buy into it, right?
00:08:16.880 Everybody.
00:08:17.420 Don Lemon.
00:08:18.560 Everybody.
00:08:19.120 Feel.
00:08:19.680 Feel.
00:08:20.200 Feel.
00:08:20.780 Divide.
00:08:21.380 Divide.
00:08:21.860 Divide.
00:08:22.360 Divide.
00:08:22.940 The exact opposite thing of what Coach Herman was trying to do in the movie of Remember the Titans.
00:08:30.600 And we're doing the same exact thing today.
00:08:32.240 Just lead a little bit.
00:08:33.760 Bubba.
00:08:34.060 A little bit.
00:08:34.620 Hey, let's divide a little bit more.
00:08:35.980 It's a very disgusting thing.
00:08:38.720 When we ran a company, I had a couple rules in my sales office.
00:08:42.660 If you flirted with one of our guys' wife, you had a meeting with me, and it was not a nice meeting.
00:08:47.880 This was not the meeting you wanted to have.
00:08:50.080 And I did it a couple times where everybody under someone that came to my office, they said, oh, shit, that guy's going to have a meeting with Pat.
00:08:55.500 If you flirted with someone's wife, if you flirted with someone's daughter, without talking to the person, asking permission, you disrespected this man's daughter.
00:09:03.340 If you did anything in our office disrespectful like that that had to do with family, you had a problem with me.
00:09:08.240 And we were the number one office.
00:09:09.300 So I kicked everybody out.
00:09:10.400 If you disrespected those protocols that we had in place.
00:09:13.220 What is happening right now in America is the exact opposite of what happened to Remember the Titans.
00:09:17.760 This is why everybody needs to turn off everything they have and watch Remember the Titans and see what happens when two groups of people that whites don't like blacks and blacks don't like whites.
00:09:32.200 Why?
00:09:32.820 Because what their parents and family and history has told them, that they must hate each other.
00:09:38.020 And then they meet a head coach who is black and an assistant coach who is white.
00:09:43.540 Then eventually the assistant coach is white, gets upset that the African-American head coach is being too tough on his black players.
00:09:52.440 And he says it's unfair.
00:09:54.060 Let me get this straight.
00:09:55.420 The white assistant coach starts defending the black players and the black coach starts defending the white players.
00:10:01.480 Exactly what America needs today that we're not having.
00:10:04.320 But no, let's divide everybody.
00:10:05.840 Let's create camps like everybody as if we need to do that today in America.
00:10:10.120 I don't understand any of this stuff.
00:10:11.740 Anyways, I'm not the president.
00:10:14.060 I'm just an entrepreneur.
00:10:15.880 I'm just a content creator that decided to create a channel that's grown into what it is today.
00:10:20.480 And I got a message for you.
00:10:21.920 You like it, share it.
00:10:23.480 You don't like it, skip it and unsubscribe.
00:10:25.740 But if this message resonates with you, this is what I'd love to see happen.
00:10:29.540 I don't make money if millions of people watch this movie.
00:10:32.220 But if you agree with me, either share this video with other people or two, go on your own Facebook post.
00:10:39.540 Go on your own Instagram post.
00:10:41.480 Go upload the picture of the movie, Remember the Titans.
00:10:45.660 Put it on Instagram saying this is what all of us need to watch today.
00:10:48.460 Encourage thousands and thousands, hopefully millions, to watch this movie, to sit there and say,
00:10:54.300 What the hell is going on with America?
00:10:56.520 Why am I letting all these people divide me?
00:10:59.320 Why?
00:11:00.220 Why am I letting this happen?
00:11:01.840 And then hopefully, Denzel, who did an incredible job playing that role of coach,
00:11:09.520 Hopefully, that story can inspire, even if it's an additional 3% of people will say,
00:11:16.500 What the hell am I doing, man?
00:11:17.560 I don't have any problems against whites or blacks.
00:11:19.820 Why am I allowing all these guys to divide us?
00:11:23.060 I'm not willing to do that.
00:11:24.680 Then, maybe our spirit will get a little bit calmer and calmer and calmer.
00:11:29.080 And hopefully, just like those guys got off the bus,
00:11:32.120 when they had zero issues with white and white, they forgot about skin color.
00:11:35.300 However, hopefully, if your parents or family members or co-workers or relatives
00:11:40.960 try to inject any spirit of division with you to hate any other skin color,
00:11:46.400 hopefully, you're going to call them out and say,
00:11:48.200 Stop it, Mom.
00:11:49.560 Stop it, Dad.
00:11:50.360 I don't want to hear anything about it.
00:11:51.740 Matter of fact, I need two hours of your day.
00:11:54.160 What are we doing?
00:11:55.160 Sit down.
00:11:56.400 Cook them food.
00:11:57.260 Order pizza.
00:11:58.020 Say, tell me, spend $40.
00:11:59.760 Say, we need to watch this movie together.
00:12:01.540 And let them watch it.
00:12:02.440 And when they cry at the end, you'll get the point.
00:12:04.880 And they'll get the point.
00:12:06.240 And you, you, yourself, you could be an 18-year-old person, 42-year-old person here.
00:12:10.200 You can help unify this nation instead of divide.
00:12:12.700 Thanks, everybody, for listening.
00:12:13.960 And by the way, if you haven't already subscribed to Valuetainment on iTunes, please do so.
00:12:18.580 Give us a five-star.
00:12:20.000 Write a review if you haven't already.
00:12:21.480 And if you have any questions for me that you may have,
00:12:23.640 you can always find me on Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube.
00:12:27.440 Just search my name, PatrickBitDavid.
00:12:29.200 And I actually do respond back when you snap me or send me a message on Instagram.
00:12:34.060 With that being said, have a great day today.
00:12:36.000 Take care, everybody.
00:12:36.760 Bye-bye.
