00:07:24.800 Yesterday we had a meeting at Maggiano.
00:07:26.800 I held a meeting with all my directors here at the Home Office and I pulled them there.
00:07:29.800 We were going to be reading a book together called No Rules Rules and everybody's like,
00:07:32.800 why are you recommending this book here to me?
00:07:35.800 Because in the book it's very challenging for the CEO to recommend a book like that.
00:07:39.800 Because in the book it tells employees to go shop your salaries.
00:07:43.800 So we're sitting there talking and I say, let me ask my opening question for everybody.

00:07:48.800 Are you guys surprised at why I recommended this book to you?

00:07:52.800 Yeah, we have no, why would you recommend this right now?
00:07:55.800 I said, because if we're going to go into 2021 with the vision to be able to fulfill,

00:08:04.800 If I have to upgrade, you want to upgrade.
00:08:07.800 And everybody started giving their feedback.

00:08:14.800 And last but not least, we take ownership in what we do.

00:08:21.800 You know, one of the quotes I read in a recent book I read, it said, whisper your successes,

00:08:35.800 I made a mistake.
00:08:36.800 I screwed up.
00:08:37.800 You know, it was a terrible mistake.

00:08:39.800 What if I did it this way?
00:08:41.800 Yeah, we won, but we got a great team.
00:08:43.800 And our team really came through and they did their part.
00:08:45.800 But let me tell you about the 19 mistakes I made in 2020.

00:08:52.800 Find the right community.
00:08:53.800 Sense of ownership for everything you do.
00:08:55.800 Take ownership of the things that's going to happen for you in 2021.

00:09:09.800 There was a certain peace of mind that I had because I just kind of knew everything was

00:09:13.800 I remember one day I'm at my house in Granada Hills.
00:09:15.800 My dad's right there.
00:09:16.800 We're roommates.
00:09:17.800 This is 2002, 2003.
00:09:20.800 MBNA calls me because I owe them $5,800 and I haven't paid them nothing for six months
00:09:25.800 because I'm broke.
00:09:26.800 But I'm working my ass off and I'm in creation mode.
00:09:29.800 I'm in the right community.
00:09:30.800 I'm taking ownership of all my faults.
00:09:32.800 They call me.
00:09:33.800 I pick up.
00:09:34.800 Hey, how you doing?

00:09:36.800 I joke with them.
00:09:37.800 I say, listen, I know why you're calling me.
00:09:38.800 I want to pay it off.
00:09:39.800 He says, what do you mean?
00:09:40.800 I don't have any money right now.
00:09:41.800 But I'm telling you, I'm busting my ass.
00:09:42.800 I'm going to pay you guys off.
00:09:43.800 You don't have to worry about me filing bankruptcy.
00:09:45.800 You don't have to worry about me doing anything.
00:09:47.800 Just stop bothering me so I can get to work so I can pay you off.
