Transcript

00:00:00.200 So gold, gold officially is at roughly $4,000 an ounce.
00:00:05.960 Rob, can you go pull up how much a gold?
00:00:07.640 $40,54 today, this morning.
00:00:09.420 $40,54 today.
00:00:10.740 $4,054, yeah.
00:00:11.680 And by the way, I have a ton of gold myself.
00:00:14.480 I'm a fan of it.
00:00:15.240 I have a ton of gold.
00:00:16.200 And I would buy them, and I would set them aside.
00:00:18.260 $4,060 today.
00:00:19.820 So this right here, can you look at what the price of a kilo of gold is?
00:00:24.240 Price of kilo gold is, right, the kilo gold bar today.
00:00:29.520 See right there?
00:00:30.040 Okay, there you go.
00:00:30.860 What is it today?
00:00:31.720 Holy shit, it just hit $130,000.
00:00:33.640 It was $128 yesterday.
00:00:35.160 So this thing right here made $2,000 in a day, okay?
00:00:37.860 I bought this at $50,000 just a few years ago.
00:00:41.740 And I set them aside.
00:00:43.160 $130,000 now today.
00:00:45.160 And when you're reading this, even gold experts are kind of confused of why this thing's going up.
00:00:50.220 Let me read this.
00:00:51.260 Citadel's Griffin calls Rush to Gold a safer asset concerning.
00:00:58.540 Now, Ken Griffin is a deca-billionaire, not a deca-millionaire.
00:01:03.540 He's a deca-billionaire.
00:01:04.460 When he left Chicago, people were frightened.
00:01:07.320 I was at a meeting, at a Goldman Sachs meeting at St. Regis in Chicago, right on the water.
00:01:10.800 And literally, everybody who was on the stage, whether it was the Walsh family or the Reinsdorf or the Crow family, the name Ken Golden kept coming up of why they're leaving Chicago.
00:01:23.040 Here's what Ken had to say about gold.
00:01:25.180 Go for it, Rob.
00:01:25.740 Gold is at record highs.
00:01:29.660 And the appreciation in other dollar substitutes, to use that word loosely, in items like crypto, for example, is unbelievable.
00:01:41.660 So we're seeing substantial asset inflation away from the dollar as people are looking for ways to effectively de-dollarize or de-risk their portfolios vis-a-vis U.S. sovereign risk.
00:01:53.860 Are you really seeing that?
00:01:56.580 No.
00:01:57.020 Just check the price of gold.
00:01:58.800 Well, that's like a life of its own.
00:02:01.460 What?
00:02:01.960 It's a life of its own, gold.
00:02:03.880 No, but it's a life of its own as you see sovereigns around the world, as you see central banks around the world, as you see individual investors around the world go,
00:02:13.740 you know what, I now view gold as a safe harbor asset in a way that the dollar used to be viewed.
00:02:21.780 That's what's really concerning to me.
00:02:24.580 Do you agree with America?
00:02:26.820 Even more so.
00:02:28.040 And I think what he's actually doing is making a case for crypto by accident, not even realizing what he's doing.
00:02:34.340 I've done this a long time, Patrick.
00:02:36.100 I started trading in the COMEX.
00:02:39.120 I started trading gold in 1985.
00:02:41.380 I've never seen a market where the equity market is rallying to all-time highs.
00:02:48.360 We've made all-time highs in all three of the major indices.
00:02:51.760 At the same time, breaking records, gold's up 50% year over year, incredible.
00:02:56.300 And cryptocurrency making new highs as well.
00:02:58.640 And there's one theory I have, and I just have to feel like there's a lot of liquidity sloshing out there.
00:03:04.260 That's why people felt they missed this whole AI move up.
00:03:07.740 And now we're hearing it might be a bubble.
00:03:09.180 By the way, Jensen Yuang was just on CNBC a couple hours ago, an hour ago, saying that we're just in the beginning phases of the AI rally, which is very promising.
00:03:19.180 The NVIDIA CEO.
00:03:19.560 The NVIDIA CEO, $4.5 trillion.
00:03:21.640 Get this.
00:03:22.720 NVIDIA is the highest market cap company on the planet.
00:03:26.300 It's worth $4.5 trillion.
00:03:27.420 The first time any company exceeded $1 trillion was Apple, seven years ago only.
00:03:34.840 And now NVIDIA is $4.5 trillion in seven years.
00:03:39.720 Very quick, I think the point he's making is, yes, the U.S. dollar is being abandoned.
00:03:44.840 It's always had weakness.
00:03:46.400 I've been doing trading for 40 years, 35 years.
00:03:49.060 It's always been a week.
00:03:50.380 It started here, and it's never really rallied long.
00:03:52.960 It rallied a little bit coming out of COVID, but this is the continuation of a weaker U.S. dollar for whatever reason.
00:03:59.040 Geopolitics, as Fisher just said, central banks are buying gold and crypto.
00:04:05.120 That's why we're seeing brand new highs because they're worried about, I believe, what the tariff situation could end up being if it becomes even more exacerbated by Trump.
00:04:15.380 Yeah, so Bitcoin hits an all-time high of $123,000.
00:04:21.000 $126,000 yesterday.
00:04:21.960 Right now it's at $123,000.
00:04:23.840 Brandon, your thoughts on this.
00:04:25.000 You had some comments to make earlier when you said gold going up, the way – what it's – compared to the dollar the last few years, what number did you state earlier?
00:04:36.460 So it's crazy.
00:04:37.120 I mean there's been a marketing campaign to not look at gold as a form of money because I don't think that the government likes when you own gold or when the consensus is for people to obtain gold.
00:04:45.700 But the value of the dollar versus gold, the dollar has lost 50 percent of its value against gold over the last three years.
00:04:53.940 And I agree, Eric, that it could be for the tariffs because gold is a good indicator of future inflation.
00:04:59.420 Gold actually started rising quickly in 2019, so it almost predicted the money printing in 2020 very interestingly.
00:05:05.380 So it could be for the tariffs, but also I think this is interesting that for the first time since 1996, the central banks have more gold on their balance sheet than treasuries.
00:05:15.460 And I almost see it as like a credit default swap situation where they didn't let the price of the bonds move until they got themselves positioned to where they had enough of them to where it wouldn't hurt them if they let the market do what it did.
00:05:27.300 So if you see right here, the net balance of gold owned by central banks has gone crazy over the last 10 years.
00:05:34.040 So I think maybe now they're in a position where they're comfortable letting it go to its natural price because they will have gotten hurt before if they let it go to its natural price because there's a lot of short selling suppressing the price.
00:05:44.860 So there's a lot here.
00:05:46.120 If I may just quickly jump in, agree with all that.
00:05:49.440 Probably the reason why I will continue for the time being, especially if geopolitics remain at least somewhat unstable.
00:05:55.860 Well, the market capitalization of all the gold in the world is about $27 trillion.
00:06:03.560 Crypto right now, Bitcoin right now is about a $2 trillion number.
00:06:07.360 It's got a lot.
00:06:08.180 The crypto versus gold has a lot of upside is my point.
00:06:12.640 And as the banks and central banks around the world get more comfortable with owning Bitcoin and making sure that the government doesn't get involved in regulating Bitcoin, right?
00:06:23.160 That's the whole beauty.
00:06:24.660 Patrick says you want to walk through the airport with $4 million of Bitcoin, no one's going to stop you.
00:06:29.740 Try and do that with five of those gold bars.
00:06:31.620 You're stopped.
00:06:31.960 So the more people get comfortable with it, the more it's going to increase versus – and you may see the trade go from sell gold, buy Bitcoin.
00:06:40.000 That could be – it could be the hedge against whatever bad things are happening in the general economy.
00:06:45.020 Maybe they just move the hedge from gold into crypto.
00:06:47.560 I'm a big buyer of both right now.
00:06:49.880 Tom, your thoughts.
00:06:51.020 To the average person, they say, well, what is de-dollarized?
00:06:53.740 What is going on?
00:06:54.900 Look, when you have something that's scarce, like a baseball card, there's only one of them.
00:06:58.620 The price goes up when many people want to buy that baseball card.
00:07:01.060 That's the way to think about gold and to think about Bitcoin.
00:07:05.640 And it's no mistake when we talk about the creation of more gold is mining and the creation of more Bitcoin is mining.
00:07:12.820 Both are scarce by definition or control.
00:07:17.440 The definition that's tied to gold is the ability to extract it from the earth and from streams and places where you can mine it.
00:07:25.020 And then Bitcoin specifically, there is a limit.
00:07:28.660 So that scarcity helps create the value.
00:07:31.060 Why is it important to de-dollarize?
00:07:32.980 Why did all – why do we have $4 trillion companies?
00:07:37.020 We don't.
00:07:38.100 We have $2 trillion companies, but we printed a bunch of money, and the price became an illusion.
00:07:43.940 So when you say de-dollarize, it's also de-risk from a socialist government policy if the next socialist president we have chooses, as Biden did, to print the hell out of money to just crop dust the American people with relief payments.
00:08:01.880 That's what happened.
00:08:03.340 So when you say de-dollarize, what you're really saying is stepping away from the inflationary risk of the dollar that a lunatic president on the socialist side could just decide to print the hell out of it.
00:08:14.600 Why is this also tied to geopolitics?
00:08:17.520 Well, why do you have to print when you have – when you had COVID?
00:08:20.320 Or if you have great global wars where a whole bunch of equipment is needed, you – two countries beat the crap out of each other, and then you need all this relief to rebuild the countries.
00:08:30.180 Guess what?
00:08:30.720 The U.S. usually steps in, prints a bunch of money, gives it to the defense contractors.
00:08:35.040 All the equipment is used for these two guys to destroy themselves, and then we rebuild the economy.
00:08:40.320 So when you say de-dollarize, Ken Griffin is right.
00:08:43.900 The risk to the dollar, it's not a constrained supply the way gold and crypto is.
00:08:49.400 They can just print the hell out of it based on an administration, and then it inflates.
00:08:54.940 We don't have $4 trillion companies.
00:08:57.120 We have $2 trillion companies based on 2015 value of the dollar.
00:09:02.920 And then we printed it to death.
00:09:04.600 Sorry for the speech.
00:09:05.720 Yeah, no, this is a part – so now the conversation becomes a lot of people are sitting there saying, man, should I be buying more?
00:09:12.140 Should I just kind of – maybe it's the peak.
00:09:13.800 Maybe I missed it.
00:09:14.660 Gang, before we get into it, two things.
00:09:16.520 Number one, see this shirt I'm wearing with the vitamin logo here on The Future Looks Bright?
00:09:20.900 I have probably 30 shirts in my closet.
00:09:23.220 My wife says, babe, these shirts are my favorites.
00:09:27.240 When you wear them once, okay, you're going to see how it feels, how smooth it is.
00:09:32.660 You're going to feel like someone's hugging you all day, telling you how awesome you are, okay?
00:09:36.980 If you haven't yet ordered – I think some of the sizes are gone, but we do still have some left.
00:09:41.580 This is the business show that we're talking about here.
00:09:43.900 You got them in white with the gold logo.
00:09:46.540 The Future Looks Bright on the bottom of the shirt.
00:09:49.000 You got them in black, which looks great, and you got them in blue.
00:09:51.860 Black goes with gold, and we have the blue as well.
00:09:54.500 You may as well order all three of them if you are somebody that's in business and you're regularly wearing business shirts.
00:10:00.200 And then we got some of that blue jacket that's left and that whole business series that's going to be there.
00:10:04.240 Now, you can go to vtmerch.com to place your order.

00:10:25.440 If you haven't yet joined the circle, download the app.
