00:00:00.080 Elon Musk, third party, he says he's going to create a new party that's going to be pro-gun, pro-Bitcoin,
00:00:06.380 Second Amendment is sacred, and one of the board members, Dan Ives, Rob, I don't know if you have his video or not,
00:00:12.720 Dan Ives goes out there and says certain things.
00:00:15.620 If you don't have it, I have it in my notes. I'll read this. You should be able to find it.
00:00:19.060 He criticizes him, and then he says, shut up. Let me just read this to you. 0.96
00:00:23.200 Elon Musk lashes at a Tesla bull, Dan Ives, over board proposal, and he says, shut up, okay?
00:00:31.620 And in this conversation, let me find page 14. It's a video on CNBC, right there.
00:00:37.720 You can have that one right there. Let me just read it.
00:00:39.660 Tesla board of directors takes the following three steps in our view.
00:00:42.480 Number one, new pay package, getting Elon Musk to 25% voting control, clears a path for XAI merger,
00:00:49.660 guardrails established for amount of time Musk spends at Tesla as part of pay package.
00:00:55.180 Number three, oversight on political endeavors, okay? And bullseye there.
00:01:00.860 Musk responds back, shut up, Dan, is what he says to Dan Ives, and Dan Ives goes on CNBC.
00:01:06.520 Rob, if you can go find that interview on CNBC.
00:01:09.760 He's wearing a colorful shirt, like literally a rainbow-colored shirt. You should be able to find it.
00:01:14.220 So that's that part, right? Talking about the fact that Tesla must act and create ground rules for Musk.
00:01:21.720 This is what he's talking about. Soap opera must end.
00:01:25.440 This is the tipping point in Tesla's story.
00:01:28.840 That's the one right there, I believe. Let me see that one.
00:01:33.160 Yeah, that's the one right there. Press play. Audio. Go for it.
00:01:36.160 Tesla shares are on the rebound today after that 7% drop yesterday, company losing upwards about $70 billion in valuation after Musk announced he's launching the America Party.
00:01:46.000 And that has got one of Wall Street's biggest Tesla bulls on edge. I think that's fair to say.
00:01:51.060 He says it's time for the board to step in and set some ground rules for Musk when it comes to his political ambitions.
00:01:56.900 Wedbush's Dan Ives is the man in question. He joins us now to break it all down.
00:02:00.660 Did you see what Musk tweeted? I'm sure you did. In response to this, he said, shut up, Dan.
00:02:06.700 Now, the best part about this is the first thing you suggest here clears a path for a merger with Musk's other company, XAI.
00:02:13.680 Obviously, then some guardrails, oversight on political endeavors. Just elaborate a little bit on why you think it's all necessary.
00:02:19.060 Look, I mean, this soap opera, I think, has taken on a life its own.
00:02:22.260 And I think that, look, the board's the only one that could step in to set guardrails.
00:02:26.120 So our whole view is hearing from shareholders the last, you know, 48 hours, patience is wearing thin.
00:02:32.140 There's exhaustion. I think when you look at the three things, I mean, one, we talk about giving 25 percent voting control.
00:02:38.420 And I think what that's important is that would clear the path.
00:02:41.260 What does he have right now?
00:02:42.160 So if you look 14 percent, 15 percent, but 25 percent is very important because that would essentially get him to what I ultimately view is a merger with XAI.
00:02:50.920 And I think that's something a lot of investors want to see.
00:02:53.200 Obviously, the board, Besson said, I wonder how Musk's board's going to feel about him wanting to start a third party, et cetera, et cetera.
00:03:03.780 And so that got a reaction of what's going on.
00:03:07.140 OK, and then, you know, I'll just stop right here because a lot has happened between that time.
00:03:13.000 So the third party stuff that we're talking about, and then Sam Altman comes out, jabs at Elon Musk over Trump divorce.
00:03:20.100 And it's interesting what he says. Rob, I don't know if you have this or not.
00:03:22.960 I do.
00:03:23.820 Here's a clip of Altman. Beautiful glasses. Go for it.
00:03:27.500 I mean, I was a Democrat for a long time, and now I don't generally feel represented by the sort of mainstream Democrats anymore.
00:03:34.260 Why is that?
00:03:34.740 Um, I am, I mean, I think I said it kind of as clearly as I could.
00:03:40.080 Like, I am a believer in technology and science and economic growth and sort of, I think that I'm all for, like, offering great services.
00:03:50.400 And I'm all for figuring out ways to make capitalism super inclusive.
00:03:53.960 But I think part of the thing has got to be, like, we drive the country towards very significant economic growth.
00:03:59.540 And we, I think we should lead the world on that.
00:04:02.000 And I would love a party that pushes for that and also pushes for everything else.
00:04:08.000 So could you donate to the American Party, perhaps?
00:04:10.080 I literally, other than those words, you just said everything I know about the party.
00:04:14.100 I want you to make of Elon's bust up with Trump.
00:04:15.900 You must be finding that quite funny and pushing from the side.
00:04:18.020 Elon busts up with everybody. I mean, come on, like, everybody does.
00:04:20.480 Tom, thoughts on the third party, Sam Altman, the board.
00:04:26.480 What do you think about this?
00:04:27.460 Well, first of all, I think Sam was being incredibly honest and talking a lot about the tech bros in Silicon Valley who are very disillusioned with the Democratic Party in general.
00:04:36.820 And we've seen a lot of that.
00:04:38.400 And so Sam is sort of speaking not for people, but he's saying the same thing that many people are saying.
00:04:46.700 Going back to Dan Ives and Wedbush, Dan Ives is doing his job.
00:04:49.880 There are analysts. Every company has got anywhere from five to 20 analysts that follow the company because investors, small investors, big investors, you want to go out there.
00:04:59.720 What do the analysts say? And Dan Ives is a bull.
00:05:02.700 He's got a $500 price target on Tesla, meaning he's saying if you want to follow Wedbush and if you'd like to invest through Wedbush and you put credible opinion of us,
00:05:15.160 we think that Tesla is going to have a $500 price point.
00:05:17.980 So come check us out.
00:05:20.600 And the analysts have a duty.
00:05:24.620 They don't have a duty to be right, but they want to be right.
00:05:27.740 And so they're out there saying why.
00:05:29.320 And what he's saying is if Tesla is going to get to $500, I want a CEO that focuses.
00:05:36.700 It's the same thing.
00:05:38.040 Pat, we've been through it.
00:05:38.800 It's kind of fun.
00:05:39.260 We've been through it with people that were entrepreneurs in the PHP insurance system.
00:05:44.720 If you want to get to this, then you need to focus on your agency, training your agents, encouraging your agents, mentoring.
00:05:53.380 And if you want to grow big under the system and the playbook that you devised and you built and this huge, huge, huge, huge, you know, multi-hundred million organization that you built, follow the playbook and do this.
00:06:06.800 But focus on it.
00:06:07.760 And maybe don't be distracted by this.
00:06:09.620 Maybe don't distract it by that.
00:06:11.220 Maybe focus on your business.
00:06:13.120 Guess what?
00:06:13.520 That's all Dan Ives is saying.
00:06:14.640 And Dan Ives, you know, posted it publicly and said, I want, must have more voting control.
00:06:20.880 And I think that this whole thing about America Party, I don't know, maybe some guardrails there.
00:06:26.140 And what's interesting, there are analysts that speak all the time.
00:06:31.240 But why this analyst does Elon respond to?
00:06:35.080 Why this one?
00:06:36.140 There's 20 analysts on Tesla that all have opinions, that all write things.
00:06:40.440 And yet Musk is like, shut up, Dan, which felt kind of, you know, unusual to me.
00:06:48.580 Now, on the America Party, I think Musk feels the softness out there in a market.
00:06:54.840 And Musk is an entrepreneur.
00:06:56.480 And when he sees gaps in the market, he wants to put a solution out.
00:07:00.260 And I also think he's a very offended entrepreneur.
00:07:03.580 And the solution he's putting out is a source of his ire and offense.
00:07:07.820 So there's three things on there he asked about.
00:07:10.340 I tried to be succinct and pack it all in.
00:07:12.620 Here's one thing right here.
00:07:13.760 America, Elon Musk retweets, somehow big centrist is considered a radical, batshit, crazy idea.
00:07:19.340 How do we get here?
00:07:20.840 Elon retweets it.
00:07:21.660 The America Party is a solution. 0.98
00:07:23.560 Renato asked, will America Party embrace Bitcoin?
00:07:25.860 Fiat is hopeless.
00:07:26.560 So yes, Elon Musk responds.
00:07:28.580 And fiat being regular government-issued currency.
00:07:30.800 What's this one here?
00:07:31.460 Gun owners want to know what America Party stands on guns.
00:07:34.480 Second Amendment is sacred.
00:07:35.600 Okay, so slowly but surely people are starting to ask about it.
00:07:38.760 But Rob, they still haven't filled out the application with FEC to start the party, right?
00:07:44.240 That was a fluke that was talked about.
00:07:47.320 Adam, your thoughts on this exchange here with Elon and third party and Sam Altman and all the other stuff.
00:07:52.120 So Elon Musk is a very volatile person.
00:07:54.800 And I almost look at Elon how I look at the stock market.
00:07:58.120 If you look at him in the short term, if you ever look at the stock market today or even over the next week, up, down, up, down, left, right, bulls, greens, what's going on?
00:08:07.880 I don't know.
00:08:08.260 I don't know.
00:08:08.540 Oh, my God.
00:08:08.900 Oh, my God.
00:08:09.200 We're losing money.
00:08:09.800 We're making money.
00:08:10.320 It's so freaking volatile.
00:08:12.480 But if you pan out and you do a 10-year view of Elon and the stock market, everything's looking great.
00:08:18.580 You're going to make a ton of money.
00:08:19.760 So I would argue that no stock, no company is tied to a CEO's personality as it is to Elon Musk with Tesla or any company that he owns.
00:08:31.720 Whether it's Meta and Mark Zuckerberg, nope.
00:08:34.720 Amazon, Jeff Bezos, nope.
00:08:36.900 Microsoft, Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer, nope.
00:08:39.580 None of it.
00:08:40.480 The most valuable company in the world now is NVIDIA that just reached a $4 trillion market cap.
00:08:46.500 90% of our audience could not even tell you who the CEO is.
00:08:51.060 Of NVIDIA?
00:08:51.620 Jensen Huang.
00:08:52.920 You don't know this, dude.
00:08:56.120 He's quietly built the biggest company in the world versus Elon.
00:09:03.900 Anytime he tweets, anytime he says something, anytime that he gets involved in anything, the stock price goes up, goes down, goes left.
00:09:10.940 It's very volatile.
00:09:12.440 It's very unpredictable.
00:09:13.400 Elon and his stock price is like Trump's first term in office.
00:09:20.760 Bro, you don't know what's happening.
00:09:22.960 Up, down, left, right, very unpredictable.
00:09:25.360 It's almost like the exact opposite shout out that I gave about Trump about a half hour ago when I said he's now completely measured and disciplined.
00:09:32.200 So get ready for a rollercoaster ride as long as Elon Musk is the CEO of Tesla and he's doing all these extracurricular things, including trying to build a third party in America.
00:09:44.720 Brace for impact.
00:09:45.580 I think we all have to remember there are two sides to Tesla.
00:09:48.140 There's all those service stations where he's providing electrical energy to everybody else's EVs and there's his.
00:09:53.920 And then in the BBB, they lost the EV mandate and that affects the entire EV market.
00:10:00.260 So it is a it is there is very big economic response.
00:10:04.900 Andy's offended and all the things Pat's talked about that are fueling this.
00:10:08.280 We have a goal of a million people wearing the future looks bright gear.
00:10:11.160 The brand's becoming more and more recognizable.
00:10:13.400 Very excited about what's going on.
00:10:16.280 So what we're announcing today, I don't know if you're aware of this, this category that is now on vtmerge.com for certain selected hats.
00:10:23.540 That's a buy one, get one free.
00:10:25.840 You buy one at $34.99, you get the second one for free.
00:10:28.480 Rob, if you can go to it so the audience can see it.
00:10:31.700 These are the hats that are on there.
00:10:33.460 You simply add one and then add another one.
00:10:36.500 And the second one will automatically from this category be added in the buy one, get one free.
00:10:40.400 Rob, does the video work on the other side?
00:10:42.180 Yes.

00:11:09.220 The blue one's going to go very quickly.
00:11:10.520 I shouldn't have said that.
00:11:12.040 There you go.
00:11:12.520 The pink ones that also, every time people ask about the pink ones, they disappear.
00:11:16.260 Keep going.
00:11:17.160 That's a sick one.
00:11:18.240 Yeah, that's the blue one.
00:11:19.180 That's the one.
00:11:19.480 That's the blue one.
00:11:20.220 Keep going.
00:11:20.860 What's it called?
00:11:21.400 Royal, not royal.
00:11:22.160 I think it's like a royal blue-ish.
00:11:24.100 But the idea is buy one, get one free.
00:11:26.840 Guys, sport it, give it as gifts to others.
